twenty twenty five twenty six Sixers schedule notables. First quick
note on the preseason. Stay tuned for the full preseason
schedule from the Sixers, but the NBA Abu Dhabi games
October second and October fourth against the New York Knicks
in Abu Dhabi. Regular season opening night Wednesday, October twenty

second in Boston the Celtics, with Jason Tatum, of course
recovering from achilles surgery in May. They look different for
other reasons too. Chris stabs porzingis traded to the Atlanta Hawks,
Drew Holiday traded to the Portland Trailblazers. Anthony Simons came
to Boston in that trade. The Sixers home opener is Saturday,

October twenty fifth against the Charlotte Hornets. That's a seven
thirty pm start. Their longest homestand overall is six games
from January fourteenth through January twenty fourth, Cleveland twice, Indiana, Phoenix, Houston,
and the New York Knicks Phoenix and Houston. In that mix.

The Suns traded Kevin Durant to Houston in July. That
was the largest trade in NBA history seven teams and
thirteen players. So KD and the Rockets will be in
Philly on Thursday, January twenty second. That's after a back
to back earlier that same week. Overall this season for

the Sixers in terms of back to backs, sixteen of them.
It was fifteen last season. From homestand to road trip.
The longest road trip this time around five games, which
will happen twice, first from December twenty sixth through January third,

so just after Christmas. It's at Chicago on the twenty sixth,
then to Oklahoma City, Memphis, Dallas and the Knicks on
the road, and again five games from February second through
February ninth, not the LA teams in consecutive fashion. That
trip starts with the Clippers, then Golden State, and then

the Lakers before ending it in Phoenix and Portland. So
a couple of five gamers. Last season, the Sixers had
a pair of six game road trips the defending champion
Oklahoma City thunder Win are the matchups against the champs. Sunday,
December twenty eighth, as part of one of those five

game road trips, the Sixers are at Oklahoma City, and
then the return game is set for Monday, March twenty
third in Philadelphia. The Sixers regular season finale is a
home game on Sunday, April twelfth, six pm against the Bucks.
It's NBA Cup Group play starts earlier this season, with

the Sixers in Celtics squaring off in Philadelphia on Halloween.
The full schedule for the Sixers in East Group B
is as follows, starting with Friday, October thirty first against
the Celtics seven pm Eastern on Amazon Prime Video, Friday
November fourteenth at Detroit seven thirty pm, Tuesday November twenty

fifth at home versus Orlando eight pm on NBC, and
the fourth and final group play game Friday November twenty
eighth at Brooklyn Black Friday seven thirty pm. That Celtics
matchup in the group means two meetings in the first
two weeks of the new season, the season opener in
the NBA Cup opener. Last season, Philadelphia and Boston didn't

meet until the Christmas game. Important to note the following
tip off times for nationally televised games are all plus
ten minutes following the listed game time, no more TNT timings,
which used to be plus five minutes. The Sixers are
scheduled to play five Tuesday games on NBC, four total
games on Amazon Prime Video, three games on ESPN ABC,

and a pair of games exclusively on Peacock, including Denver
at Philadelphia on January fifth. All NBC games will be
simulcast on Peacock. That ESPN well ABC game Saturday, January
twenty fourth against the New York Knicks the finale of
the season long six game homestand it's a three pm

start on ABC, and earlier that same week, the Sixers
will take part in the NBA on MLK Day with
a seven pm home game against the reigning Eastern Conference champions,
the Indiana Pacers. It's the thirty fourth time in franchise
history that the Sixers will play on Martin Luther King
Junior Day, and this year marks the fortieth edition of

the NBA on MLK Day as part of the league's
slate four Monday, January nineteenth, the Sixers will host Indiana
at seven pm. Wrapping things up with a quick Sixers
Schedule Q and a just two questions, the first being
which marquee matchup are you looking forward to the most?
My honorable mentions would be that Knicks game on Saturday,

January twenty fourth, three pm on a Saturday at home,
or Halloween hosting the Celtics on a Friday night. But
the pick that won out Sunday, December seventh. It brings
the Los Angeles Lakers to Philadelphia Luca and Lebron for
a seven thirty pm Sunday start. That's my marquee matchup

to watch? And then what is your under the radar
matchup to watch? It's probably Orlando or Atlanta, two Eastern
Conference teams on the rise, Porzingis Nikhil, Alexander Walker, Luke Canard,
all new to the Hawks, Desmond Bay, Tyas Jones, Jace
Richardson in the draft Nude to the Magic. Specific dates

for those Orlando at Philadelphia on Tuesday November twenty fifth,
the third game of NBA Cup group play, and for
Atlanta in Philadelphia soon after that, Sunday, November thirtieth, at
