an iHeartRadio podcast Welcome to You, and That's what we
Really miss podcast Recap, Recap or Recap Kevin.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
We are making our way through season four and another
edition of Has Jenna seen this movie this week? I
love that it's taken. It's got a life.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Of its own.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yeah, to be fair, I have time to see movies
during these days. Okay, I don't even watch movies now,
let's be real. Sure, I have to like force you
like you need to go see this. So this is
season four, episode three makeover. Original air date was September
twenty seventh, twenty twelve.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Question is also.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Quinneth's birthday, So happy birthday home to GP. Happy birthdaype
you know twelve years ago twenty twelve, Jenna, the number
one song in the country this week twenty twelve was
One More Night by Ruin five.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Do you know that song? What song is that? I know?
I know if I heard it, I'm sure it was
number one.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I feel the same way. I feel like this is
that time when they came out and were just like
number one after number one out of nowhere.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yes, the number one movie end of Watch Jake jillenhol
Michael Penya, Anna Hendrick. This is shot documentary Silent. It
follows the daily grind of two young police officers who
are partners and friends.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I remember this, I've seen it.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
There was like a lot of hype around this one
during that time, and I saw, Wow, Oh my god,
I can't believe to see it. I'm really happy. I
remember really enjoying this film. I'm gonna have to go
back and watch it now. You don't have time, I don't,

(02:01):
but I'll find it okay. So Glee News this week,
there was a lot of buzz surrounding SJP Sarahisca Parker's
Glee debut.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Ryan even Like tweeted out a picture of christ and
s JP together on set.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
So jealous, So jealous? Did you meet her? No? I
would have freaked out.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
I didn't meet her either.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
I would have loved to have met it out, even
though I would have had been starstruck. I what an icon.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I have this weird thing where I see her randomly
in New York all the time.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Do you really Yeah, She's like one of those people
that you like follow around a little bit. I don't
mean to incident by accident. I didn't mean like stock.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Last time I was in New York, I had just landed.
I was in my uber from the airport to my
hotel and we get into the city and I'm just
looking over. I'm like, oh, that bar is really nice,
and Sarah Diisca Parker's walking into it.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Maybe just a good taste. Ironically, I end up accidentally
following around Chris and off a lot who with mister
big On combined, we are the Sex and the City Crew.
Wow Stalkers so funny. Yeah, exactly, Uh okay. This episode
was directed by Eric Stultz, The One and Only and

(03:22):
uh there's a lot of There's actually not a ton
of music, but it's an eclectic grouping.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
It's definitely an interesting selection of songs. We have Everybody
Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Celebrity Skin, the Way You Look Tonight, Slash and Never
fladdsed On, a smile and a change, or do You Good.
I couldn't even tell you what that song was. There's
also mister Monotony. It's unreleased and it was performed by
soon Will, a full number shot that didn't make it

(04:03):
into the episode.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Wait When You say, I don't even know what that
song was. Do you mean you don't know the song
it changes to you good? Or you don't know what
that performance was. I don't know what that performance was. Okay,
drag them, got it?

Speaker 1 (04:20):
I'm telling you again. I still I'm not sold on Brody,
and I think it affects my viewership and my opinion.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Is it because as a fan, you're just like, you
don't want her to be with Brody Rachel to hurt Finn.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah, I think I'm a finial shipper and I'm I'm
getting upset until telling her away. Yeah right, exactly right. Well,
well we'll talk about it. If you haven't seen it,
mister monotony, it's on YouTube the release the unreleased number

(05:01):
that they shot. I kind of get it, like it's
not necessary. No, didn't need it, didn't need it. They're great,
per huge, but totally always you know, but didn't need it. Yeah,
there's a lot that happens in this episode. So there's
a lot of fun facts as well, and I love
this one. You're never fully dressed without a smile is
from the musical Annie. Obby and s JP played Annie

(05:26):
on Broadway in nineteen seventy nine. How cute is how
cool cute? This is also not the first time an
SGP character worked at Vogue, so in Sex and the City,
Carry Bradshaw was a freelance writer at Vogue. Do I
get my gay card revoked because I've never seen Sex
in the City. It's back on Netflix. You better go

(05:46):
because that is wow. I know.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Here's what I realized watching this episode. Though I've had
so many friends over the years try to convince me
to watch Sex and the City, and I'm just it's
not something I've ever you know, I've just such some
episodes whatever, watching her on screen was the single most
compelling piece of evidence.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
That you should be watching it because she's so enjoyable
to watch all of them. Hold, it's the show. May
not be your style, yeah, that I know. I'm like,
I don't know that you'll love it, love it, but
they are enough.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I just like this episode wasn't enough her, Like, I
just want to watch her No exactly, I go, maybe
we have just started watching Sex the City recap on
the side.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
It's good, is it all? Tails? Kurt that she's from
Columbus and s Jap is in fact from Ohio, not Columbus.
Though Nelsonville close enough. Ryan tweeted that Anna Winter was

(07:04):
helping with s Jap's costumes for Isabelle, which makes sense
that black dress with that necklace is very Anna and
all of that. Blaine got his first voiceover. See this
is when I'm talking on the last episode we were
talking about him.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
We're getting her first voiceover first and only voiceovers are
just newer for some of these characters. I guess, yeah,
And I think because like what you said, Britney's character
always says everything that comes out of her mouth, and
I think Blaine's experience was very much through the lens
of Kurt, right, and we're now getting inside that Blaine's.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Story welcome from his perspective, that's right.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
This marks the second time that both Party Rock, Anthem
and Moon River are used as background music. Party Rock
was featured during sam Schupper scene and Hold on the sixteen,
and moon River was playing when Kurt and Rachel had
breakfast at Tiffany's in NYC.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
I do remember that. And Kurt wears the same hippo
brooch that he wore in Dance with Somebody and Special
Education throughout the episode, So like this episode, those ones
had important plot lines for Blaine and Kurt interesting.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
So here's a little continuity issue. At the debate, During Artis' speech,
the clock is shown moving from two thirty to three pm. However,
when he finishes the speech, the clock is shown to
be two forty five.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
So what is it?

Speaker 2 (08:29):
We'll never know.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Split the Deaf. He's still talking, Split the Deaf. That's funny.
The background of Sean Kurt's phone was kurtin Blaine ran
the outfits from the breakup, which is the next episode.
Oh maybe they just coordinated twice, something like that.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
In the Glee cap it stated that Will's trying to
get the club a second national one by redoing lessons
that they did last year, referring to Britney two point zero.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
However, Brittany happened two years prior. They're like us, they
just don't remember. See, it's not just as you guys
to everybody. Yeah, oh this is fun. So Dalton Rumba
says the Blue Ribbon Panel is looking for superstars like
Demi Levado. Ironically, Demi will appear in season five and Danny.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
I clocked that that was a very John Stamo's moment.
Yes exactly. Although Harry is absent and only credited. He
and Katherine McNamara would later start as main cast members
on Freeform shadow Hunters right after Glee. He's just one
after the other. Yeah, can't stop, won't stop.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
And then listen. Catherine would later appear together on the
first three parts of the r over special title Crisis
on Infinite Earth's in twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
During the final scene Rachel's listening to moon River. Melissa
performs this song as Supergirl during the Flash crawl Over episode,
which also featured Darren.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Very meta, We're that is central over here.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
I would also additional fun fact. I was watching the
scene where Will is hosting the show choir rules committee
and one of the actors like, he looks familiar. It's
Sean Gunn, who is James Gunn's brother, who's in all
the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. James gun directed and
wrote them, all of them. Yeah, yeah, mcu fame, you know,

(10:36):
love it?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
What is this? Tell me what this episode summary? Kevin.
I'm not sure if this is the official one, but.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Just tell me what. My favorite part of the episode
summary is the campaign showdown begins when Brittany and Blaine
go head to head for student council president. Meanwhile, cart
Lance's dream internship. H I feel like we're missing something
there about Rachel. Yeah, the ending of this episode, stuff

(11:03):
that happens. Yeah, let's start with the bang, and let's
just talk about as Jap because she was stunning. Kurt
ends up getting an internship with Vogue dot Com. He
works with the designer and executive Isabelle Right. And Isabelle.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
She ends up like questioning herself and her abilities, but
she's inspired by Kurt.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
She really is very forthcom coming about like personal life
insecurities with this newbie here, brand newbie. Yes. Their chemistry though,
and maybe that's just s JP and how wonderful she is. Yeah,
but as soon as she enters that first clothing rack
and says hello to Kurt, those two together, I just I.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Need to watch them. Yeah, their dynamics work. Kurt. If
you took him this character out of Glee and put
him in a Vogue office in a different show, it
would work. And I think s JP is really grounded. Yes,
and like what they're talking about is very real and grounded,

(12:13):
where it really did sort of scratch that Devil Wars
product itch that I'm always looking always looking for love.
That It's true. She's phenomenal, she looks great. Their chemistry
is good. I just want to show about them. So
I texted Chris and I said, please tell me everything.

(12:37):
Because we didn't get to work with her. We heard
everybody loved her. What was your experience? And in caps,
he wrote, I loved her. She was an absolute doll.
She had amazing stories. He said that he didn't shut
up about hocus Pocus or the First Wives Club. I'm
dying that it was that and not Sex and the
City focus. I understand it, I get it. She was

(13:01):
very sweet and patient with him. Ah, she's a pro.
She really is. She's a pro. Wow, what a cool
get that was. It felt so foreign though, because like
we didn't work with her at all. No, And there
was a thing that.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
A quote that Blaine had in this episode where he's
talking about all of Kurt's achievements working at Vogue and
then he's running for Senior Claus president, and that is
definitely how it feels.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Yes, that's right us, it's great. And then so meanwhile
we also have Kurt getting his you know, really finding
his groove, while he also still wants to go YadA.
But Rachel is also she's still suffering from at the

(13:55):
hands of Cassandra and her h and you Collie or
students what do you call them? Their students by her
fellow students for the way that she dresses. And so
Kurt and Rachel now are living together, and Kurt's like,
we gotta go, let's go, it's time for a makeover.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Bold I wouldn't know. It's like his first week of
working and he's sneaking into the offices after hours and
getting in trouble, almost walking into that Stanley Tucci.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
I know it was.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
A full vogue closet and oh so good, and we
love a makeover montage.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
So she's like, you had me at makeover so cute.
This number was adorable. Love the song or the mash up.
I thought it was very smart and the three of
them were very We're so charming. I loved it. I
love this storyline.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
The numbers are much more so contained this episode, I
think after Brittany two point zero, which had gigantic numbers.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yes, we needed this.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
I was happy to just see the girls twirling in
different dresses and on spining chairs. Yeah, it was really great.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Agreed. I wonder what kind of couture they were wearing. Actually, though,
like I want to know, I know.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
It looked great though whatever it was. Kurt also ended
up in a new suit looking wonderful.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Firs, Why wouldn't he. There's also the Rachel and Brodie
of it all now pre makeover. Is it premiger or
post mak Yeah, no, no, it's post magaver. Rachel has
a very intense makeup now grown and sexy makeup. We
are we are going full day to night time, Yes,

(15:52):
all day long. It's nighttime in the daytime, and she's
going she's We're gonna this is it right, there's no
turning back now for Rachel. She is no, she's going
full woman, full New York. Yeah. But Brodie's into it.
He's into it. He likes the makeup, he likes the makeover.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
And I have a question.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
He says that Rachel got a make over so much
quicker than he did. He got one after six months,
and she's like, bs, I'm sure all the girls have
wanted to date you for the past four years.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
How many years has he been at Niyata? What is
his role? Is a sor is he a student? Is
he a fifth year senior, Like what is no, No,
he's a junior apparently, but is he it? But they
said he's been there for four years? She says it
in the scene he got left back. Yeah, like he's hot,

(16:54):
but dumb. I don't know. I don't know. It doesn't
there's some explanation for it, but we're not getting it
because it may not be right right right, and maybe
I mishurt.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
People can correct me. People will know, but let's correct.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
What Yeah, yeah, I don't catch stuff like that. That
doesn't quite catch me. Like, but good, good one, Kevin,
if I'm right, who knows? Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll see,
we'll see. Brody asks for Rachel out a couple of times.
She's like, yeah, I really like you, and she's like
I got a boyfriend. But then oh man, she gives in.
She's going to make them dinner.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
She's also so funny. Did you have a time in
your life when you're like, I'm going to do that?
Feels like a grown up date thing, like the first time,
like yeah, come over, I'll make you dinner. I've never
dared to invite somebody over to my house to make
them dinner.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
To try.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
And also she tries to make duck of all things, like,
that's the first thing she's agittarian.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Well, the duck burns, well, she's never made it before, clearly.
And then they ordered pizza, which looked better anyway, delicious.
I'm okay, they do this number, they do this number.

(18:17):
I'm curious to hear from the fans what they felt
about Brody because he's a new character, because Rachel is
still technically with Finn, just because she hasn't heard from him,
which I don't you know, everybody could have handled things
it differently, But I'm just curious what the fans think, because,
like I feel like a lot of people are Vinil fans.

(18:39):
And then all of a sudden, this guy comes in
and just because Finn doesn't call for a while, we're
moving on. We're moving forward, moving on with our life.
But are they still together?

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Like yes, they just Finn just called off the wedding,
but not the relationship right or or was it go
to New York.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
And be free? I mean, I don't know. I guess
that's left to interpretation. Whatever. It's like we were on
a break.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
I don't know exactly. That's what it feels like to me.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
I don't know. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Well, but okay, I don't think anybody does, which is
why intentionally it's Marquis. I'm just not sold on Brody yet,
and so the number with the two of them didn't
sell me. I mean, our allegiance is clearly with Finn.
That's what the deal is, and that's why. I think,

(19:32):
that's why, the only reason why I'm like a little
shook by it. And then they kiss on the couch
or whatever, on the floor wherever they are, and then
there's a knock at the door. And of course when
any character ever says like, oh, it's Kurt, he always
forgets his keys, well you know that's not Kurt.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
You know it's not him. I gasked, I forgot this happened.
But what a good cliff hanger, so good Brod's standing
up in the background. I loved it.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
I loved it. I was there for that very challengers like, sure, An,
come in, let's see how this works altogether. No, get
out of there, Brody. Finn's back about unfolds next week.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
But I don't know about it.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
If Zendeia were there, well it'd be different. And then
who's who anyway.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Mike and Okay, well, I mean I'm here for it.
I love Hanger. I think Okay, Brody, Okay, I see
yet so I can't really, I don't know more than
what I read in the news. That's why I gotta
tell you you have time. Well exactly, I will see
that movie. Though I'm excited about this storyline. Now though

(20:58):
I am, I'm a little bit more on board that
it creates some drama. Finn's back, Let's see how this unfolds.
Let's go and he sees the makeover, so let's see
how In response to that, it's a.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Lot for Rachel because you get to this school, you
get your ass handed to you every single day. There's
one person that's nice to you, and he's cute, yes,
and he's very persistent and he's helping you. Right, and
then when things finally start to like, oh maybe this
new life is happening. Mm hmm, not so fast, Rachel Berry.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Well, we'll see what happens there next episode.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
I'm really enjoying the New York stuff, are you, And
I think a lot.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Of that is SJP. Well, I was going to say,
here's the thing. I also really like the Cassandra's July stuff.
So our guest stars are really pulling their weight this time. Yeah,
there's they really are. It's quite good.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
So meanwhile, back at McKinley at the kids table, there's
an election going on, so Blaine decides this is his
time and signs up for every club under the sun
and also signs up to run for class president against Brittany. Right, Brittany, which, yeah,

(22:30):
Brittany was not a good president. And Brittany recruits Artie
to be her vice president, which is maybe the first
smart decision she's made as a president.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
And that scene between the two of you, I felt.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Like Artie was a little mean at first.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
He always says, I know, why is that? What was
I doing? I don't know. I think you have. Artie
is like a nerd with a big ego. Yeahs had
like a bit of an ego and very confident, which
is not what you nor you know often see.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
I feel like sometimes nerds in movies and TV shows
do that in a way to like make up for compensate. Yeah,
compensate maybe for the social ways in which they are
not confident and accepted. So they have that's a choice,
like false, that's a choice. Yeah, I don't know if
I consciously made that choice for Artie, and I don't

(23:33):
know if it was correct whatever I was doing, but
it is what it is.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Well, you sign on real quick. You're like, I love
I get to basically run your campaign, run your office,
and you're just the face which we love. And and
then Brittany says tells Blaine to recruit Sam, her friend.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Do we think Artie's a Republican because Artie's first example
of vice president being the actual president was Cheney and Bush.
Maybe that's because the era it had to be the era. Okay,
I can be a change to your Bush. I prefer
landing strip.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
That was very funny. It was so fast too, Like
it hit me like twenty seconds after. Yeah, well, so
you and Brittany are going to run, and Sam and
Blaine are going to run.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
So Blaine and I give Brittany and Sam makeovers because
they don't seem to be the most electable people at
the moment. And after failing miserably at trying to answer
some basic questions for both people, we hop into another

(24:52):
makeover scene where this song comes out of nowhere and
I'm so thrown but it's just like singing aggressively, and
I also like, don't know this song was not very
I did not know this song. Really, yeah, I don't
think I knew this song. So not only was I

(25:14):
jarred by the whole coming out of nowhere, but then
a song I didn't quite know. I was like, Wow,
that's interesting. I mean the way Eric shot it though,
there's a great behind the scenes video on YouTube about it.
That's some of the little tricks that they did, like
coming down the hallway with the spotlights and then when

(25:34):
Brittany like steps out of herself in the classroom and
Eric just made it more than it.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
More than just a number. It was interesting and fun
to watch, and it was very presidential and kind of
played this like bright tone that I loved about it.
I thought it was really well done and it was interesting.
It could have been a really boring song or done

(26:03):
really kind of simply. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
I think it felt like, here's a director who's been
here a bunch of times, and how can we sort
of reinvent surreal? Yeah, like what else can we do?
And so having the multiple characters in the same shot
that was new. Little tricks that he was allowed to
do that you know, try it out see if it works.
Why not totally. I also just remembered that, speaking of stults,

(26:33):
to go back a little bit, when Brody and Rachel
are running through the streets of New York, I think
they're running down the same street that we did bellanote on.
Oh it looks the exact same and I imagine that's
just because, like a permit thing, they just that street
must be able to be shot on easily.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
That's funny.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
I was like, I recognize that.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
So you get to run for a class president and
for valadictorian. That's very exciting. Don't win anything.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Did you like the storyline for Yeah, I loved it.
I like, you know, it's fun getting it's sort of
similar to the directing little storylines where he's in charge,
he's making decisions, very opinionated.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
It's very me Yeah, yeah, very much. I was very
nervous though.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
I had a lot of dialogue on that stage in
front of Jane, and even though it was season four
and like with Jane, we're family, She's someone who has
a lot of complicated dialogue every single episode and right,
so you're like, just get it right. Yeah, Like, I
don't want to embarrass myself in front of her, and
it was so much technical dialogue that I remember being

(27:47):
very nervous and scared, and then also ad lib in
the middle of it to like be the background noise,
you know, of Artie is still talking. But I think
the comedy of it is funny. It is very fun
enjoyed that that technical stuff is always so hard. I
also love that he bombs, like he goes out there like, oh,
I know what to do, and he goes out there

(28:07):
and is so bad.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
This very reward. That's a little bit of that ardy ego. Yeah, idiot,
I for sure thought you guys were going to win
after she says school three hundred and sixty five days
a year. Yeah, I don't know. That was really funny though.
I just think I forgot that Blaye was actually president.
You had to too. Blaytne is winning and Kurt doesn't

(28:32):
give a damn. It's too busy winning himself. That's right.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
He's become bff with s JP and his video. So
they shot the homemakeover thing in New York. Yes, that's right,
and then they send it to Anna Winter. Anna likes
it and they're going to reshoot it properly. But he's
going to get story credit, idea credit, right, and so
he's having this whole successful thing happening in s Jap's like,

(29:00):
I get what you want to go to Nyada, but
you could be running a magazine he could be. Yeah, so,
and it feels like the difference of like when you
do get outside of high school and you do get
on your own, and this world of possibilities opens up
for you that you don't ever imagine, and when somebody

(29:22):
else sees it for you, right, you're like, oh, maybe
that is something I can't.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Do right exactly exactly. You have to be exposed to it, right.
And I feel like in the industry it's very tumbel
vision because it's so hard, so you have to like
focus all your energy. But there's other things out there
that you could be good at.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Yeah, which I think here's why you see a lot
of actors, like take Margot Robbie for example, who's an
incredible producer, and producing is such a specific skill and
a lot of people try it and they aren't great
at it. She happens to be very good at it,
very good at it right, right, And so you may
come in doing one thing it may end up being

(30:05):
really good about things.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Yeah, that's right. Speaking of Will also is realizing that
he's like not happy. I kind of story wants I
do do. It's just something out of the ordinary. It's
but it's relatable. It's very relatable when you when you're
reaching from this thing for so long and then you

(30:28):
get it and this is all that you've ever wanted
and it's not what you imagined or you're not happy
or fulfilled. Yeah, like who are you without it? Yes?
And I love that. I love the whole little speech
during the panel, you know, the committee meeting where he's like,
this is not you know what am I doing? So
I really like this little storyline. It was like small,

(30:50):
it was like on you know, like the c storyline
kind of going on with all the other stuff that's
happening and setting up for next episode. But I really
liked it for him, and he hasn't gotten a lot
of like really a lot of stuff to do, so
it was nice to see see them write this for I.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Got to see Hitchcock back in in front of the
Campra's so funny because.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
At this one he's also a writer, so he gets
to go play dress up just like pop in. Yeah,
that's funny. And so then Will finds out about the
Blue Ribbon government panel to improve arts education around the country,
and so he's going to actually apply for that instead.
And even though he's going to be like, he could
be gone for an elongated period of time. And Emma's like, look,

(31:38):
we always tell all of your other students to like,
go do I'm of the voice for reason, you know,
to go follow their dreams. So why aren't you following yours? Yeah?
It was sweet and I thought it was so sweet.
It reminded me of the pilot, reminded of her showing
him the video exactly. I just think it was sweet.
I think it was sweet. And then it leaves room

(32:01):
for when he gets it and goes away and somebody's
gonna take out of the glee club for a little bit. Yeah,
I love that. That's the Superhero episode.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Kevin got it.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Ye, that's coming. That's coming. We also have to we
have to talk about the birth of blaming to bring
that up. Why are they so cute?

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Because Coord has chemistry with the wall everyone there was
nothing Chord can't sell. Also, Coord and Darren are like
really great friends.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
I mean, it's so cute.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
We all are, but to see them it was very
reflective of how they are in real life. By the way,
I was going to use this as a bonus TikTok,
but there's a video going around and Gleek of the
Weak Pod posted it of Darren out at something. I'm
not sure what it was, but he's singing a teenage
dream in like this bar and then Chord comes up

(33:01):
and surprises him and it's very sweet.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
It's so cute. Yes, Cord Winning saw Darren in Little
Shop recently. It was the Little Shop after party. That's
that's why I see, That's why I thought about it,
And so I'm in Little Shop. I just love the support.
Mm hmm. Blam is still alive and well thriving. Well,
I'm loving these like new friendships that are forming. And

(33:26):
then Tina, Blaine and Sam were also going to have
their little friendship that's going to happen that's coming as well.
Do you remember that one jump and Jump in? Oh?
I sure do. Oh, Jenna, see, I just have these
really good memories where we just stopped taking ourselves. So seriously,

(33:48):
do you know what the worst three people to pick
for that number?

Speaker 2 (33:56):
There?

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Like guys, I think finally be my I have reached
It is a bridge too far, this is it. It's ridiculous,
It's ridiculous. Anyway, we'll get there.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
And I repeat for the last episode. Are Brittany and
Sam getting together?

Speaker 1 (34:18):
I think so? Because it sure feels that way. I
think so.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
I think this is a setup. I'm proud of Rachel for, like,
you know, sticking by her morals and her guns of
thin and then catch an episode later it is they
trust these teens. They disappoint you every time.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
That's right. Anyway, Look, I'm not I'm not hating on
season four just yet. No, And I think the breakup
is going to be good too. I thought this was solid.
I don't think this was extraordinary, but I think it's
solid and I didn't hate it. No, And I think
it was a really nice mix between New York and mckinlee.
I was like, it was a really good balance.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Don't know how I feel about it. I like both
of them a lot, but I sometimes just want to
live in one. But maybe it's growing pains. Maybe I'm
still just adjusting.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
I feel like most people probably felt the way you did,
Like you just go back to McKinley or take everybody
in New York.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Yeah, I kind of wish everyone just graduated and went
to New York. Well, the energy is definitely split. It's
not the same crue. But I don't know how you
do that, Like, I don't think there's a world in
which it's believable that everyone just decides to move to
New York together.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Well, this is why the timing was supposed to be,
where time didn't really exist, and then everybody could just
stay in school forever.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Right, it would get a little monotonous. I think, yeah,
New York is fun. It is fun seeing that.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
No, I'm enjoying it. I do think it's fresh. It's
keeping things light and fresh. Let's create these performances. Everybody
wants to rule the world. I love this song and
I love Darren version of it. I don't think you
needed it at all. No, and I think a lot

(36:06):
of the songs felt like that a bit. Yeah, all right,
give it a plus. I give it a bee, celebrity skin,
I give it a bee again. Yeah, I give it
a be the way you look and I never play dress.
I give it an a A minus. Yeah, a changer?
Do you good? Bes? Okay? And that's it. Wow.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
It was like a season one episode only four songs.
Mm hmm, okay, tarty takes, okay.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Cringe moments.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
There's a whole rant by Sue making fun of people
and teachers lounge, and it was just like, Okay, we're
beyond this, aren't we.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
We don't we don't need that, Yeah, we don't need it.
Best dance move.

Speaker 2 (37:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
There wasn't a ton of dancing in the suns. I guess.
I mean.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
Rachel and Brodi were the only ones dancing.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Were they? Wow, look, bring Finn back. He's here, he's
coming in. They might break up, but you know what,
I'm not done. You're right or die. I get it.
I am enjoying watching you as a fan storylines. It's

(37:31):
like the baby. This is the baby for me. It is.
I agree, though it was a little hard. I'm like, okay,
I don't know. It just it's too quick. It happened
too quickly. I feel like I'm shell shocked. She turned
it was. It's just I'm not I know it happens
that way in real life sometimes, but I'm just saying, like,
for me as a viewer, I'm not willing you know,

(37:54):
what's bad is that.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
During this performance, what I noticed was how good the
background looks outside the windows.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
It looks very realistic.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
It does, yeah it does. They always do it's shock
better than others. But this is really good, No shocking,
pretty good. I would honestly best dance move as shape
spinning round in that chair during the vantage Well anything,
she I'm obsessed. I know, I'm about twenty years later.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
No, I know. Welcome to the club. I can't get enough.
I love it. Okay, get ready with your Kiki's coming soon.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
And now I'm excited for it like ikey time, I'm
here for her.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Okay, best song? Way you look tonight? Never fully dressed?
I think it was overall. Yes, I enjoyed it the
most charming. My socks off, Yes, it could be off
if you knock my socks off as the actual does

(39:01):
it turn my pants off? Knock my socks off? Probably?

Speaker 2 (39:06):
I would like to say shout out to the computers
doing a lot of heavy lifting this season. Thus far,
you have Kurt and Blaine watching TV together, hate watching TV,
and Kurt turns to where Blaine is sitting, which was
cute and obviously makes no sense, but I thought it
was really funny, so I might say, I might say

(39:28):
the computers, that's good, or the dresses, the clothing. The
couture was great as well. Yeah, the justses were pretty great.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
When you saw the.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
Presidential celebration in all the confetti, do you, I sort
of gasp at. I just imagine having to clean that
up after Oh m hmm oh, I feel so bad.
That was a lot of confetti.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
At least see those big brooms. But still okay.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Best lines, Oh my god, I the whole segment. I
don't even know if it's my favorite line, but when
s jap is talking about how she got food poisoning
at a place with bread and she ate her breadsticks,
and Kurt's like, I.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Can't u there. It's very funny. Sue talking to Will
in the teacher's lounge and she says, otherwise you'll end
up like that, quietly smirking, because you're just a little
craft dusting. Oh and now you're enjoying the sneaky tickle
off your own stink as it ripples up your enormous
soupy puck. I thought, why how did they get by? Yeah?

(40:35):
I can't even get through with them? So funny. It
was a really funny one.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
Oh wait, I just had it. There's another one when
Isabelle catches Curt and Rachel in the office and he goes,
I thought you were going to dinner with Steve bushemin
yoko Ono and she goes, well, they canceled again.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
What is this game of mad libs? Just putting a
bunch of names into a hat? I know, right?

Speaker 2 (41:07):
I also like that Chord says, what's a debate?

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Very good? Very good? It's very good. There's a lot
of really good lines in this episode. Performance MVP s
JP Obviously. Yeah. I was also going to give notable
to Heather. She's been like holding it down these last
few episodes. She really has. They've been leaning on her. No,

(41:33):
they really have that. She just holds up the whole show.

Speaker 2 (41:39):
So should we found on TikTok this week? Glee Official
Glee Glee's version on TikTok did the top ten Glee
characters with the most songs in the entire series. Wow, yes,

(41:59):
so you have to watch it. It's two minutes long,
but I can tell you some So Brittany is fifty six,
Tina at number nine with eighty songs. Yes, I'm sorry,
I'm not on that list. Yeah you are, and I'm
sorry that they chose gungham style to represent you and.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
This that was It's fine.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
I can't believe I even made the list. I will
say a shout out to the people in the commentso
going after them, like, out of all the songs, you
chose that one for her.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
They always do dirty with me.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
They're sticking up for your job. I Sam comments Sam
at number eight with eighty two songs. Wow, yeah, okay,
I'll give you the bottom five and then people need
to go watch top five.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
So number seven is finn with one hundred and four songs.
Santana is number six with one hundred and thirteen songs.

Speaker 1 (42:48):
Just keep going.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Do you want to know?

Speaker 1 (42:49):
Yes, just tell me all of that. Okay.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
So Kurt is number five with one hundred and fifteen songs,
and then number.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
Four is.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
Ca with one hundred and sixteen songs. Damn the Mercedes
with one hundred and seventeen songs. At number three. Number
two is Blaine with one hundred and twenty four songs.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
Once yep.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
And then there is this leap from one hundred and
twenty four to number one with two hundred and eleven songs.

Speaker 1 (43:23):
Rachel, Wow, love that. Thanks for doing the work on that,
putting great together. I cannot believe Tena made that list.
I'm actually floored why we were in so many group
songs together. That's how you and I rejuiced our numbers
of being in group numbers. No, you're right, I don't know.

(43:43):
I just thought, oh, there must be people with more.
But I guess we've been there from the beginnings. We
were there forever.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
And then, like I mentioned before, the bonus TikTok, it's
Darren dancing at a bar and Quardium was even surprises him. Oh,
Christian posted it with an X on TikTok and you
can see it and it's cute and charming. You get
real life blam, that's really cute. Okay, So next week
we have the breakup drama Drama on Drama. I'm very excited.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
I am very excited for that. I actually don't even
know what music's and then I gotta go look it up. Well,
I hope you guys enjoyed Makeover with us, and thanks
for listening. I think I'm gonna have to go start
sex in the city now, WHOA is it? Like?

Speaker 2 (44:35):
So Okay. The West Wing was a little hard to
get into at first because it looks so dated, but
once again, it's exactly Sex and the City.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
It's very old looking, but you just got to get
your eyes will adjust, Yeah, like I promise they will adjust. Yeah,
I trust the process. It's funny because the movies are
so bright and you know recent I guess in theory,
and they look so different from the pilot in the
first quite a few episodes. But do you watch them

(45:04):
just like that? No, I've seen it. I've watched. I
watched the first season, but I have been kept up.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Oh man, okay, I guess here I go, let me know,
all right, and that's what you really missed. Thanks for listening,
and follow us on Instagram at and that's what you
really miss pod.
