Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, everyone, Welcome back to Batcher Happy Hour. I'm Joe
and I'm Serena, and we are here to recap the
Bachelor in Paradise finale.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I feel like it's been a minute since we did
an episode recap.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Yeah, it feels that way.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Since before Thanksgiving. I think I.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Can't believe Paradise is over.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I know it is crazy.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
I'm already looking forward to next season.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
I know Joey's season. The teaser looks really good. I'm excited.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Oh you know what I saw what I mentioned to you.
I'm surprised that Johnny wasn't there from last year.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm surprised you didn't go back as well.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
I thought about that during this finale. I don't know
why I didn't think about it all during the season,
but yeah, I'm kind of shocked by that.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Maybe next year, maybe you never know.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Yeah, okay, should we Uh? How you feeling? You're feeling good?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I feel good. I feel good.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I feel like there was a lot of episodes I
actually really loved in this season. The finale wasn't my
favorite episode of the season, but I feel like there's
still a lot to talk about.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Well, I think we knew the finale wasn't going to
be like over the top because none of this couples
were like super strong and that I think that's what happens,
and that's why there was so many entertaining, entertaining episodes
mid season, because people were just kind of.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Like dating everyone money around. Yeah, it made for a
good like mid season. Yeah, but the end, I feel
like I was like, I kind of know where things
are going here. The only thing the only couple that
I would say was really really up in the air
was Avin and Kylie.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, and even the way it ended, it still kind
of ended a little up in there.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
But yeah, we'll let's get into it all right.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
So we started off five people went home in the
last episode of the Rose Ceremony, a lot of people,
and Mercedes and Jess are kind of like opening the
episode feeling kind of depressed.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah, almost like why are they still there? They probably
should have went home as well.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Yeah, I feel like at this point in the season,
and usually what happens is if the person that you've
been dating the whole time and you break up, it's
kind of your cue to leave. Yeah, and I know
that both of them, like, you know, Jess had a
moment with Tanner and Mercedes had a moment with Jordan V.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Well, I will say Mercedes and Jordan V. I would
I could see Mercedes sticking around over Jess because Jordan
V did just get there where Tanner has kind of
been there the whole time.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
That's true, But at the same time, it's like you
have an idea that things are coming to an end. Well, yeah,
I don't know. I thought, Yeah, I agree. I think
it made more sense than Jess left. I think it
just took her the day to cut a process.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah, I think it.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
But when I was looking at her and Tanner, I
was like, I don't think anything's gonna go down here
on this beach for the two of you.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Do you think if Tanner would have taken Jess out
instead of Cat when he first got down to the beach,
things may have been different.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Yeah, potentially, But it's hard to know because it's like,
do they even actually have a connection Because Tanner's gone
for so many girls now, I can't figure out if
he actually has a connection with any of these girls
or he just is like really keen on finding his
person and is willing to like give it a try
with anyone he thinks is pretty do.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Like, is it I feel like he's not led like
connection first, He's like, let's give it a try and
let's see if there's a connection there.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Well, I thought him. I thought him and Davia had
what it seemed to be like a connection in that
me too.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
When he dropped her in like a day.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Well or maybe she dropped him. We don't know.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
No, we do know, because she said in the episode, like,
I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I thought we had a great date.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Oh yeah, Okay, well then yeah, yeah, No, I didn't
really get that. I know he was interested in Jess.
I know Jess was interested in him.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
And I think he was interested in her from the beginning.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
I wish if we could go back in time, I
wish he'd taken Jess on that, yeah, because I do
think that things might be different, been different.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yeah, But unfortunately they both leave.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
They both end up leaving.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Kat and John Henry get a date card. They go
on their paddleboarding date and kind of like open up.
Kat opens up. But the fact that she moved out
at seventeen. There's a lot of divorces remarriages in her
family and John Henry opens up about his struggles with depression.
So definitely, like they're having more serious conversations.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah, they're getting closer. They and they've touched on this
a bunch, I think, just during the season. But they
are both very different people, and I think that I
think that usually works at the beginning of a relationship
and then I think things get tricky.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I think some differences are good.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
I think it's hard, like the whole thing opposites the
tract has been proven to like not work out, Like
you're more compatible with people you're more similar with.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, and I think they're very different.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
They have great chemistry, Like I really like watching them together.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
They seem like they have a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
They get along while they're like opening up and having
these deep conversations. It's just whether it's transferable into the
outside world. And it's been such a short amount of time,
Like more than anything, that is my biggest concern for
them is, like we have couples, like Aaron and Eliza
have been together since day two, even Kylie day two,
John Henry Ka happened together for like I don't know,

(05:21):
three episodes maybe.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Yeah, but they seem stronger than Aaron being Eliza.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
To be honest, they seem really into each other. Yeah,
they do.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Aaron being Eliza, I will say watching them during the season,
it's at that beginning it seemed like they were the
strongest couple. And then every single time they were on
our screen, it seemed like they were struggling. It seemed
like they were just constantly having the same conversation, and
it just seemed like it was Aaron B. Basically saying

(05:50):
like I like every step, like, I'm falling in love
with you. I want would you be my girlfriend? I'm
falling in love with you. I'm in love with you,
But like we never actually saw the love.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yes, I know what you mean.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Like we're seeing them express their feelings, but we're not
really seeing how they got there. Like I feel like, Okay,
they said they're falling, so they get a date as well.
They go on this like spiritual sweat house date and
they say they're falling in love with each other. But
I'm like, well, how did we get here? Like I
didn't see you guys fall in love at all.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
All we know is Aaron B knows that she likes
bacon in the morning.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Because and like eggs over hard scrambled or something like that.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
And that's the only time we even see them together
is like in the morning and then when they have
a discussion at night, Yeah, which seems to just be
it always goes the same way.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
So yeah, I mean it's hard, it's hard to get
engage that relationship. But I mean it does seem like
they're heading for engagement in this episode. Yeah, so Jess ends.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Up leaving, Mercedes leave, No.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Mercedes leaves, well, Mercedes hasn't left yet, but she doesn't
up believing. Yeah, Killy tells Avan she wants an engagement
and he does not. This consumed a ton of the episode. Yeah,
for good reason. It's like the main event of the finale.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Yeah, they're they're I mean they've been together probably, yeah,
the longest besides Aaron being Eliza.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Yeah, but they they haven't even and Kylie like she
went on a date with him day two she ended
things with well, and they've been just like ride and
steady the whole time. Like, I haven't seen them really
getting any fights. I haven't really seen them at all,
if I'm being totally honest, But they haven't got Actually,
they've been on two dates. Yeah, they had two one
on one dates because they had that double date with

(07:39):
Peter Yeah and Sam.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
And I just feel like it's hard because they haven't
really like had any challenges or obstacles. But this is
kind of the first one that we're seeing is they
don't agree on how they want to leave Paradise.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Kylie wants to leave engage, Avan does not.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah, And like it's hard because I actually like watching it.
I'm not liking complete Like I'm not in disagreement with Avan,
because like what he's saying does make a lot of sense.
But like, in the same breath, you know what show

(08:15):
you are continuously going on, like this is your second
time around, Like it is about an engagement. So if
you guys aren't there yet, that's fine, but have you
taken the steps to get there? And like if Avan
came on the show and like doesn't matter how hard

(08:36):
he fell in love, if he was just always gonna
refuse an engagement, Like I guess that's okay as long
as his significant other always knew about it. And I'm
not sure if Kylie did.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Yeah, I have a feeling Kylie didn't know how against
an engagement even was until now and he didn't realize
how it was to her. I think they both thought like, yeah,
we'll figure it out, Like Kylie kind of wants one,
I'm not really into it, And now they're realizing they're
on like totally opposite spectrums.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
See with that that I don't know if I buy
because Avan doesn't strike me as someone that would be
holding that in. He seems pretty open, Like it doesn't
seem like he was hiding that.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Like I feel like, so maybe she wasn't, because she
has expressed like she has just kind of agreed with
him in a lot of the discussions so that it
doesn't end up in a fight. So maybe like this
is the first time now that she's like really putting
her foot down on it and he's like, where is
this coming from?

Speaker 1 (09:33):
That's what I think that I think that's more likely
the case.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
I I don't there's a few things with this, So
like I agree with you in the sense that like Aven,
this is your second show. You know how the show ends,
you know they end in engagements. I don't think he
was open to an engagement on either time when on
the Botchhot with rachel Or on this and I don't
know if he ever would have gotten engaged on the show,
and it's kind of like this, you know, that's okay,

(09:59):
But it is a show for engagement. So you can't
be like shocked when Rachel wants you to propose, and
you can't be shocked when Kylie wants you to propose.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Yeah, because these shows do end.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Engagement for sure, right, So with like you have to
be prepared to like have these conversations and like expect
that there's a chance the person you're dating is like,
I don't understand I'm here to get engaged and find
my fiance.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Unless Kylie was on the same page with him the
entire time, Yes.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Unless she wasn't being open about that, and now he's
feeling blindsided. At the same time, I think that you
can leave not engaged. But I think he's not being
fully honest in the sense he keeps saying to her, like,
I know you're the one.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
I know I want to marry you.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
I'm one hundred percent, but I need to like experience
more with you outside of this. So what I'm hearing
is you're not sure, You're not one hundred percent, you're
like ninety percent, and you need to go out and
you need to spend more time with her to figure
out if you're one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
And that's okay, that's I was gonna say. But that's
that's that's a pretty logical one.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
That's totally fine.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
I'm not judging her for that at all. But I
just think she because she at one point was like,
can you please just be like open and honest with
me about like why you won't propose if you're a
hundred like if you're so sure? And I wanted him
to just be like, honestly, Kyla, I'm not. I'm not
so sure. I'm not one hundred percent because if I
was one hundred percent, I would propose, and I'm not.
I need to go out and I need to have
more time with you. I need to experience more life

(11:20):
with you to know if you are my wife.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Yes, that's what I think she wanted to hear or
needed to hear. And I think that's what he needs
to say because I think that's how he feels.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, I agree, No, I agree. I think if I
think we think that's how he feels, we don't know
how he feels, but.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
He we're obviously speculating here.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
I agree. I think that's what what he should have said.
And then we saw a little bit when Blake laughed
in the previous episode, but like, what the fuck is
up with Kylie and Blake?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
It's it's he didn't recap last episode where she like
chased him out to the van.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
But like, I didn't think to see like that one
I didn't think was well. I thought this episode when
Blake came back and like all the girls talking about
it and she was so happy to see him and
she just misses Blake, that to me was weird.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
I thought the van was weirder personally after.

Speaker 1 (12:23):
All seeing all of it, Like if I'm even I'm
a little like well, but I mean, I don't know
what he knows, but it right.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
And we don't really know, Like if this has been
the dynamic the whole season and even just doesn't have a.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Problem with it, I would have a problem with it.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
If you ran out and chased another girl and was like,
please don't leave, stay for me, Stay for me, And
then Marian Kenny show up.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
We're at their wedding and everyone's like, Joe, she's back,
She's here, and you're like, oh my God, I'd be like,
what is going odd? Yeah, like what am I missing?
Like I'm missing something like I feel like this is
not cool.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
That was the way a part for me, it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Yeah, Marcide was like, oh my god, Kylie, it's Blake. Yeah,
and she's like like so excited.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Yeah. So to me, that to me, like the wedding
part and like everyone being like, oh my god, Blake's
back for you. That to me was weirder than the
bus I kind of thought, or the van, like her
running up to the van, I like I kind of
got it if she was like.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Like just felt like if it was like everyone was
like is no one going to stop him? Or is
anyone going to go talk to him? Like she was
like I'll do it. I'll go like check on him
or whatever, see if he can stay or yeah. Yeah,
but the way she went about it felt like kind
of flirty.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
No. Yeah, but that just could be her.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Yeah, that might just be like she might just have
a flirty personality and it could have Yeah, it.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Doesn't mean she's like flirting with him, I guess, yeah, And.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
It just could have been the situation. But I don't know,
like the whole the whole thing to me is.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
It came out of like nowhere because we haven't even
seen Kylie and Blake like hangout, and now all of
a sudden we're seeing like these very like not Tom
but like close combos between them.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
So then strange we have the moon rave and then
we have them have they have a little chit chat
and she asked for like advice on like what to
do Blake. Blake gives good advice, and Blake is definitely
like a girl's guy because I feel like a lot
of the girls have been asking for his advice.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Yeah. I think that was all pretty pretty stand there. Yeah,
and then we have what do we and the wedding, Well,
he's black because Kenny Amari from our season, yes got married.
They also just got married in real life as well,
a little paradise beachy wedding.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
It was fun listening to Jesse like officiate their wedding
and hear all the throwbacks from your season.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Yeah, wells walked.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
And like for those that don't know, like Blake and
Kenny are actually very good friends in real life, so
it does totally make sense that he would have stayed
to be a part of that.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
We saw like the the naked like bobblehead Kenny Murray
dolls in the cave. I'm sure they're going to start
selling bach nation dot com at some point, I know kicktopper,
But yeah, I thought I thought it was nice that
it was nice that they they got married there. It
seemed like it seemed like it gave some people on
the beach hope.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
I think it does because you know what, like you
have said this before, seeing Dean and Kaylin on our season. Yeah,
at our finale, like when we did the purge and
the engagements was almost like reassuring because you're stuck in
this bubble and then to see these couples that are
from the outside world come and be like we met here,

(15:36):
we did what you're doing, and now we're.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Engaged, you're married or having kids or whatever it may be.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
It's like, oh, yeah, like this does work past this
point also, and I feel like for the couples on
the beach, it's like, oh wow, like they met here
and that could be us.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
We could be getting married.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Yeah. I just with a lot of them though, it
kind of just feels like they think that's how they
should feel, so that's what they're saying.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
You don't think anyone really feels that way.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
I don't know. I don't know about this season. I
don't know. Maybe maybe, but it.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Kind of Kylie feels that way, I'll tell you that.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
So yeah, So then Kylie and Even have it out
that night.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
She ends up crying, he walks away.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Yeah, it's a big scene.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
That's how the night ends. You know, Marie and Kenny
danced the night away. Everyone looked like that a good time.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
Yeah, seemed fun. And then it's like, okay, it's the
end of paradise. We have to be real. We need actual,
real couples now.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
So I see Jesse pull them all into the palapa
and it's like, okay, either you're head of for engagement,
you're one of the fantasy suites, or you're going home.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah. The Purge. I love the Purge.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
It really is like you get like an inside look
into like everyone's relationships.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
You know, yeah, well because there's no more, like you
just need a rose to get by the week.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
It's not like okay, it's like do you like them
or do you not?

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Like?

Speaker 2 (17:03):
What are your intentions?

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Yeah, like you're either you're taking this serious or you're not.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Yeah, when did Mercedes broke up with Jordan V?

Speaker 2 (17:10):
At some point?

Speaker 3 (17:10):
I think it was at the Rave and leave though
before Yeah, he was like, yeah, all good.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
She just said I love her, she was one of
my favorite people. She just said.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
There isn't anything romantic. I could tell. This has been
weighing on you this whole time because we're going out
of chronological because we we we did not bet you.
The fact that Mercedes potentially she went home, well you.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Mentioned it at the beginning of the episode, you know,
but didn't happen until close to the end of the episode.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Mercedes, Mercedes goes Mercedes goes home. There wasn't anything romantic there, unfortunately. Yeah,
Jordan V's time has been short in Paradise, hasn't had
the best luck on this show. So they're gone.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Bye. Okay, sorry the purge.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
I'm going to really try to lean into your out
of structure of this episode.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Keep going okay, no, I know you're leading the way.
I'm not.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
I'm not leading the way.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
You've taken the lead, and slowly as the episode has
got on, you're backing away from the lead.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
I'm backing away from what the leading the episode? Yeah,
because usually you lead the episode. I'm with the notes today.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Okay, so we will say, so, who's the first couple
they have a conversation after the Jesse.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
We've got Aaron, Eliza, Avan and Kylie, Sam, Peter, Olivia, Michael,
Kat and John Henry. That's not the right order, but whatever, great.
So we see Kat and John Henry go first. It's like, yay,
we like each other. We're going no doubt.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Fantasy Sweet's great. Aaron and Eliza fantasy sweet great.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
No surprises there, Avan and Kylie and Kylie.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Now we have basically we hear the same conversation again.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
You know, Kylie like still wants it, Like she literally
says like I was up like praying last night that
like something would change his mind and he would propose
to me. She I wonder I would love to know
what is compelling her to feel so strongly about an engagement,
because do you think, like, I don't know, Like again,
this is just speculating.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
I I obviously don't know.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
But it kind of feels like she needs more reassurance
from Evan, and she's looking at the engagement as like
reassurance that he's not going to like break up with
her when they leave or like be over her when
they leave. Like I don't know, Like even doesn't strike
me as a guy who's like overwhelming with his like

(19:35):
showing how much he cares about someone, do you know
what I mean?

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Yeah. I also think it's like part of the show,
the engagement, So like when you go on, you may
not really even think it's something that's realistic, and then
you get there and you're kind of in the bubble
and you're on this beach and you start really thinking
about in an engagement, it becomes like like something that
you could touch, like it's there, and it's like it's

(20:00):
like I am actually expecting this one. I didn't think
I wasn't. And then she isn't getting and I and
I almost think she probably wants it more just because
even took it off the table.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
He's just like no, yeah, like she's not even really
entertaining the idea. Yeah, So, and I think you're right,
like it's so close you can touch it. It might
feel like moving backwards, like leaving in a relationship when
it's like it's right here, like why don't we just
take that step? And I think she's someone that in
life is ready for that step.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Yeah, but unfortunately he didn't change his mind. And she
was like, well, if I want to leave with you,
I have to be okay with this.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I thought he handled the convo pretty well.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
She was pretty like, it's going to be okay. I
promise you it's going to be okay.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Yeah. They just left, like she just left up. Like
they left as a couple, but not a happy company.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
No, no, no, they were not a happy couple.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
So they didn't leave as a happy couple, but they
left as a couple.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
They left in a fight, but together, yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Which is kind of the best you were going to
get from them, unless one of them caved.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Unless she decided like I don't need an engagement, or
he decided finally going to propose. I mean he he
asked the question I was waiting to be asked, which was,
if I don't propose to you, are we breaking up? Yeah,
which and she said no, And I was like, Okay,
there we go. That's what we've been all waiting for.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Yeah, that was the question we've been waiting for for.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
The whole episode. Okay, So then we have Sam and Peter.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Sam and Peter, who seemed he seemed like he wanted
to potentially.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Yeah, he was like, I think we'll continue. Things have
been going great, and she was like definitely not.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Yeah, she seemed they did seem watching them that it
was more of a friendship.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
I think they were they liked each other, but I
just think like they've been together long enough. There was
no like I'm falling in love with you or like
I'm gonna move to where you live in Canada. So yeah,
probably just wasn't gonna work out.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, I think that I think they made the best
and you could see she was upset, she cried a
little bit. But if it's not there, it's not there,
you can't.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Yeah, And it's one of those like you got to
make a hard decision sometimes. Yeah, I think she made
the heart decision, but the right decision. And then Olivia Michael.
It would have been really nice to see Olivia walk
away in a relationship after everything she's been through this season,
and she's just been such like a prevalent character this
entire season. And I think her and Michael were a
good fit. I liked her with Michael probably best out

(22:23):
of everyone we've seen her with, But again, I think
it would just came down to timing.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Yeah, I mean, he just really just got there so late.
So for him, like, I mean, they could have been like, hey,
let's leave and let's see what happens outside of here.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
No, I didn't think they were gonna get engaged, but
I thought maybe they would leave in like a let's
see what happens, let's keep talking.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Yeah, But I think for him, he's just kind of like,
I'm a real list, Like we live in different cities
and I just don't yeah, care that much.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
That is the thing with this show is like pretty
much everyone lives in different places. Unless you get very
very lucky and fall for someone that lives in your city,
you have to be a like really into the person
because you're not just gonna do like long distance with
someone that you're not serious about and be like willing
to do long distance most of the time, yeah, or

(23:16):
at least temporarily.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
So then that leaves us just two couples left fantasy suites.
Everything looks like it's going well.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Cat and John Henry looking good, smooth, smooth sailing. Who
would have thought that wasn't like the most I would say,
her and John Henry have been the most smooth sailing
couple maybe this season, which is ironic because she's had
the most turmoil on the beach.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
I mean, i'd like them together. I mean, is it
going to work?

Speaker 2 (23:53):
I like them together too, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
I mean we see, we see that. So the overnight
goes well, Yeah, the Overnichael's great for Aaron and Eliza.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Aaron and Eliza say I love you to each other
in their overnight and then they say against they said
something along the lines against all odds. We made it here,
like something I wrote down, like they said against all odds.
And I just feel like we're missing things with their
relationship because the way they talk about their relationship is
like there's been a lot more of a struggle between

(24:24):
the two of them than what we've seen. The only
time we've seen like an issue is like the very
very like first episode where Aaron kissed Mercedes and like
went to Eliza and then when she went on a
date with John B.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
I would bet money that there was more of a
struggle there than what we saw. A because I just
think their relationship didn't progress as fast as I would
have expected to, and B just because of the way
they like speak about their own relationship.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
It's like we.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Overcame so much, all the hills we had to climb
to get here. Today it's like, what did you do?
What happened between the two of you?

Speaker 1 (25:00):
And honestly, every just everything we saw just seems so serfa.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
And there's still like no certainty about an engagement between
the two of them, despite that they've been together like
this whole time.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
So we get we get down to the palapa. We'll
do them first because they are first. And the weird
thing is Eliza doesn't doesn't say vows.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Yeah, she doesn't say a speech. It goes right to
Aaron B. I've never seen that happen before.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Get down on one knee.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
He Actually, I think the big thing was he said
he spoke to her mom, because we do see her
saying like, I don't know if I can do this
family so important to me. Not having them involved would
be like really hard. And then Aaron B essentially like
opens the speech with like, spoke to your mom today. Yeah,
she's a lovely woman. And you see her kind of
like light up that they had a conversation.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
Yeah, and it yeah, they she says, yes, he hasked
her to marry him, and.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
That's loved her dress. She looked amazing.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
That's kind of there. There goes that. And then you
know what.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Like the review between the two of them, when she's
like we're engaged, she's like jumping.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
That always just like takes me back to that moment.
It's like such a crazy feeling. I don't think I've
ever felt that. I'll never feel that, like again.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Crossing the finish line on Paradise.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
It's just like, I don't know, it is a level
of like ecstatic and like what have I done?

Speaker 2 (26:22):
All bundled into.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
One Yeah, and then you kind of look at the
other couples, like we had three couples or there was
two more couples, and we were all kind.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
Of like whoa, whoa, yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Yeah, we all just did that, okay. Yeah. And then
and then Cat and John Henry she says, yes, they
also get engaged.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
They both give speeches. It's gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Maybe, I don't know if there's ever been a faster proposal.
And when I mean by faster is like the length
of their relationship from the time they got together to
the time they got engaged was like days like so short.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Yeah, yeah, we'll see. I mean, we'll see. I don't know.
I don't know that's going to work in the real world.
I mean it could, it could.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
I mean like Kat went through a lot in this show.
She had a major highs, major lows.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
So like, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
I'm just someone that like always roots for happy ending,
you know, I always want to see the relationship work out.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
And I do see chemistry between the two of them.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Well we see the where are they now?

Speaker 2 (27:20):
They I love the where are they now?

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Where are they now? So we'll start with Kat and
John Henry. They are still together, potentially going to move
to San Diego together. That's kind of all we know
as of now. They like I said, their their time
on the show has been pretty short, but they couldn't
make it. They could.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Yeah, when Eliza and Aaron are not together, well that's
not what it's said. It said that they have had
some ups and down, some bumps in the road and
they're working on their relationship.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
And those are those are the two couples.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
And then we see those the two engaged couples.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Kylie are still to guy there, Yes, so that's good.
That's good. Maybe they actually worked worked it out in
the world.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
I do think he was right when they were leaving,
and like he was very reassuring and like positive about
what was going to happen moving forward.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
And I do think once she left and moved.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Past, if she was able to move past the fact
he didn't propose to her, I don't see why it
wouldn't work.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
I think they make sense and I could see them working. Yeah,
I could potentially see them eventually getting engaged. Yeah. Actually
that is like my one of my favorite lines on
the show. And I was like, I only want to get
engaged once. How many people are out there, Like I'm
going to get engaged multiple time? That's what I want.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
I also just think, like, I don't know, if you
come on this show, like you have to be somewhat
of a risk taker, yeah, because getting engaged is such
a short amount of time. I'm like, getting engaged in
general is a risk, you know. Yeah, you just you
never know what life holds for you. But I'm like,

(29:06):
you gotta have a little bit like Okay, I actually
was thinking about this. So you worked in the stock
market for like five years, sure, and you like are
a big risk taker. I would say you like you're
a gambler. You live you like a good risk.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
John Henry has the most dangerous job like known to
man or something like that, so he obviously also has
that sense of like adrenaline junkie like risk taker within
him that you have.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
And I just think, like those.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Are the people that are like perfect to get engaged
on this show.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Yeah, you know what I mean, And like, just like
let's throw caution into the wind. I'm in love. I'm
not gonna listen to my gut, I'm gonna listen to
my heart. Let's do it well.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
And also if the engagement doesn't work right, there's a
good chance you haven't even moved in together.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
Yet depending but yeah, at this point.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Yeah, at this point, and like, yeah, it sucks and
it's sex for both people, but like it's really just
like you give the ring back you break up. It's
not like it's harder to end an engagement or just
a relationship one that when there's a.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Normal timeline you'd been with them for like years, you
get engaged.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Yeah, and then we see we we see.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Braidens with Christina Mandrel Okay, and she's from who sees
she's from Zach season.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
Yeah, and she is the one that like wouldn't stop
talking about her one on one date and had some
beef with the girls.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
But she has a daughter, okay.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
And they looked really cute to be honest, they were
like hanging out on a bow at the beach. I
can see Braiden being like really good with kids, so
I'm happy for them. It was like they're like moving
in together.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Which is that's the rumor.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yeah, so we'll see, that's what we'll say.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
So Brandon ends up with the strongest relationship off the beach.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
Brand is the only one that's like literally actively moving
in with the girl he's dating. Yeah, and she wasn't
even there.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
I think. I think if if Kylie and Evan stay
together after everything that has aired, I think they will
potentially go the distance.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
That's I wouldn't be surprised if they're like moving into
other soon.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Yeah. Out of all the couples out, that's that's where
I would go with it.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
And I think that's it. That wraps the whole season
and Bachelor in Paradise. Thank you everyone for sticking with
us while we recap every episode and we won't be back. Well,
we'll be here every single week with exclusive interviews and

Wow, look at that.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Bye, and that's it.
