Speaker 1 (00:07):
Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hours Golden Hour. Thanks for
joining us. We are so happy to be back on
this cold winter day. How are you doing today, Susan,
You're chilly in Austin. It's snowing here in Philadelphia. I
mean it's cold. I don't like. It's about to get
really cold here. We're about to have like a serious

(00:29):
cold snap. And you have to remember, homes in Austin
don't have basements, so our pipes are on the next air
of the walls, so we have to drip faucets all
night and bring plants in and put blankets on them.
It's a full time job in the winter.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Funny feeling. Where I'm going tomorrow it's going to be
even colder than it is here in Philadelphia, heading out
to Kansas City, so maybe so, Ladies and gentlemen, thanks
so much for coming back and listen to us again,
and be sure to check out our latest episodes because
we've been having a ball talked to so many different
people from Jones Bachelorette Show.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
And today another one. Today we want to welcome a
very special guest from Jones season. Please welcome, as he's
lovingly referred to as Charles l Hi, Charles, who are you?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Thank you? Thank you? I'm doing well, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Hi. Everybody's weird. I just before, I just have seeing you.
Now we met you and I and Susan, we've chatted.
I'm sorry I have to ask and embarrass you straight
off the bat. Here. Last time we met Charles, he
had a full head of black hair. Today you look

(01:44):
a little more age appropriate, still as handsome as ever.
That salt and pepper. Look what happened? Did the dye
rinse out? What's the deal?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
No? A little bit of worry, you know, both outside
and weather wise.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Probably that's one of the reasons. The outside is politics.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
You know that.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
You hear so much news. You know, some some are good,
some are just okay, you know whether as Susan said,
it's been pretty cold here. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Maybe Where are you charged? Are you in Philadelphia? Where
are you?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:16):
I mean Marvin, Pennsylvania? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Next Melbourne?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Right, yes, about Melbourne from here, Kathy, you've been here?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yeah, right near Melbourne Prep. I have a very good
friend who went to school there.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Exactly. I can walk over there literally, really yeah, Malvin Prep?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Yeah, wow, great school. So today.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
We love having you here.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, I've been back to the kind of you know,
normal life in a sense, you know, like before the show,
I have pretty much kind of you know, weekly routines
or daily routines. Talking about weekly routines. Sometimes I go
to New York, you know, see my grandkids, my daughters
and other family members. So that's part of my life

(02:59):
and another just regular routine. It's just here. And as
we were kidding and started, occasionally I do some day
trading in the morning, but not every day.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Let's talk about that. I want to hear your career
was Tell what was your career.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
My career is in the statics statistics and from a
program in pharmaceutical companies, So that's my career. Well, I
have many jobs before, but that's the last one I
would refer to. And then trading is literally it's just
my hobby. I picked up myself and you like everybody,
you know, you made like a you know, a guitar

(03:38):
for example, or play piano, yeah, or ballet dance, you know,
I don't know, maybe Susan also is a greater ballet dancer.
I don't know, you know, just my guest. So this
is my hobby, you know, reading sometimes doing some writing
and trading. It's just just part of my you know,
retirement life.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I actually took a class in money, a banking class,
and the the if you want to call it, the
extra credit piece we each got I think it was
ten thousand dollars of play money. And you know that
was back in the dark ages, so that would be
worth you know, one hundred thousand today. But the but

(04:21):
it was the game. You could do anything, you could
short stocks, you could whatever, you you know, if the
more knowledge you had, the more things you could try.
And and the person who won got an A in
the course and didn't have to take a final. Well
that's all I needed to hear. Guess who won? I

(04:41):
did well, but no, but it was because that's why
I'm interested in what you do. Because my dad played
around the stock market and he taught me a lot
about investing, and it was really easy to make money
when it was monopoly money. But I could no more
do the So that's why i'm mask you. Aren't you

(05:02):
afraid to sell stock? Short?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
And no, no, no, no. Sometimes I when when my
friends joke with me, I said, you know a surgeon,
he has a knife cut your head. I'm nervous. It's
a well, of course it's they are not a similar
but it's a similar concert if you knew very well
and don't don't fight against the market, you know, follow

(05:25):
the market like this money, just very bravely. I bought
one hundred years, I should sell one hundred years. I
did the one option call.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
And the profit, the profit.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
That is is making you smile right now.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
You know, all I remember is growing up hearing about
soybeans and you know, all the all the commodities. My
dad was big and there was commodities.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
That's I'm not involved with that.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Yeah, well, good for you, other than make millions on
the stock market that you're looking to find some woman
to spend all that money on you. Did you like that? Segway, Charles,
what do you Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:11):
That's probably you know why? Probably curious? How come Charles,
why do you you know? Eager to make the money? Yeah,
that would be to prepare for the second step.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Ah, the woman?

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Do you mean the second woman?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Yeah, that the future girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Have you had any dates or anything?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
No?

Speaker 2 (06:29):
No, no, has anybody asked.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
You because they check my wallet, it's.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Not my wallet. Are you serious? Come on kidding? Kathy's kidding. Well,
I always say, I always say the next time, I'm
going to tell them I want to see their teeth
and their checkbook balance. Just getting well, you're not quick.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
We're going to do a question of the Day Charles,
so all three of us will answer this, and the
question today says, what's something that you love about being
a parent that you feel like no one really talks about?

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Well, I think you have to show you as a
good example to your kids. You know, no, God, no
matter how little they are, they are very smart. They observed,
they listen, and they watch. So any any action, any book,
you're reading, any conversation, you talk like my kids, you know,

(07:32):
I honestly my daughters when they're very young, they they
know what is a stock, what is a stock or market?
What is economics? What is you know? Communication, public is speaking,
so on and so forth. You know, you don't teach them,
but you are surprised.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Because they pay attention.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Yes, yes, so that's I to my understanding. So anything,
that's why you know, quote unquote, if parents, you know,
love to read a lot, I think the kids tend
to read a lot too, because they think, you know,
that's the way it is. And if you talk many
many topics you know at home, this case tend to

(08:16):
you know, knowledge wise, be very very broad as well.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, I think kids tend. I think you bring up
a really great point, Charles. Kids tend to listen or sorry,
watch what we do. More than listen to what we say,
you know, do what I say, not I do that
kind of thing. They watch what we do and they
emulate our behavior based on how they see us behave,

(08:41):
not how we tell them they should behave.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
They learn by example.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Right, we're like you know, when they were little. We
don't push them to be rich or very rich, but
we we kind of indirectly try to influence them to
to be rich is important.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Really you taught your kids life easier way.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Did you teach your kids that to be rich was important?
Not exactly, but wait, I want to know because I
have a single son, how old your daughter?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
I mean, how can I say that we try to
send them a message that is to be found to
be sound Financially it's very important as if it's healthy
health wise, you know, had in hand, you know, go together.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
So did your wife have a career? Did your wife
have a career or she she.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Did her she's she's from very very famous university and
her major economics, So you talk about ignow, she knows everything.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
That's Yeah. Are your kids the economics.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
The younger one, yes, the old one in management?

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Oh wow, smart kids here, Susan, smart kids.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
I mean they are doing very well. Yeah, we are
very Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
All right, Well we want to go back just a
little bit and talk about Jones season. Did you like
coming to af R?

Speaker 3 (10:15):
Yeah? Yeah, I mean it's it's a great Do you
know I really, as you know from the show, you
can tell I really really enjoyed every single moment. Yeah.
Actually I was on phone with Chaka yesterday and they
try to invite me to be there. There's a kind
of concert the next week in New York, but unfortunately
I cannot go.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
So we know you stole all the hearts of Bachelor Nation,
right you.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
I'm so happy for them, Yeah, Joe and Chuck.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Yeah, yes, Well that's what I want to know if
I mean, you did since and You're right, so many
people on social media they love you. I'm surprised. Are
women not reaching into your DM sliding into your dms?
As I say, is that happening?

Speaker 3 (11:00):
This is a Sami secret it is?

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Yes, Oh they are.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
There are a lot.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Well, tell us have you talked to any of them?

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Are you you're not dating any of them? She screeched.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
I have not started yet?

Speaker 1 (11:15):
But what are you waiting for the July fourth fireworks?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
I mean about paradise? Are you waiting for Golden Paradise
to Actually?

Speaker 3 (11:23):
I was, you know, chatting with Chucking. You know I'm
pretty kind of slow in that aspect for whatever reason.
You know, I wish I have, you know, half speed
off when I do in my trading. You know that'd
be different.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Yeah, well, let me say dating is not like the
half life of the drug. You know what I'm saying.
It doesn't last forever, so you got to get on it. There,
you gotta get me.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Maybe I kind of inconscious. Maybe I'm waiting for that
right lady.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
You know, to chat with them to figure out which
one's the right one.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
He's waiting for a woman to swoop in and heep
him off his feet, Am I right? Charles?

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Okay? Yeah, maybe you coach me.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Oh, Susan, I will coach you. Our first advice to
you is are you on Are you on dating sites?

Speaker 3 (12:14):
No?

Speaker 2 (12:15):
He doesn't even answer the d ms we expect him
to be on the day.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
I have a lot of d ms.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
And you know why, Charles, A lot of women are
on social media. Kathy and I have talked about this before.
For us, we didn't see all that because a lot
of men are not on social media. So for them
to reach out to us is yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Yeah, both. You know. Also, quite a few local friends
talk to me. They want to, you know, yeah, set
us up and a fall.

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Wait, you've got friends that want to set you up
on a blind date? Mm hm, and you're not And
you haven't, she said, incredulously, fell on the table.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Not yet, I have not because you know, it's been holidays, Christmas.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yeah, true in New York.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
You know.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Again, Charles, in February. Let's let's get a move on here.
We're gonna light a fire on Charles.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Spring is coming.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Spring is coming, you know, fresh flowers, romance, you know,
blooms in the spring, that kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
So, Charles, if you were asked to go if there
is a golden paradise, would you go? Would you consider going?

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Yes? And if I answered, corracked, I loft, you know,
bumping into a nice lady and on the cruise.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Oh wait, wait, say that on a cruise. I would
like to bump into a nice lady or a girl
in a cruise. I would like to do that.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
That that that's that's my neatim dream.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Are you taking the cruise?

Speaker 3 (13:47):
No? No, I mean that.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
If Golden Paradise was on us do I he might
know something here? I know because we all had that
eye gold Paradise.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Wait, this could be Newsworthy season. Has someone talked to
you about a cruise for Paradise? Charles?

Speaker 3 (14:01):
No? No, no, this but this is only my person
or you know dream?

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Okay, okay, do you get fantastic?

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Do you get sick?

Speaker 2 (14:10):
No?

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Cruised you for many times?

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Me too, so I think it shall be all right,
We'll do it.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Okay. I want to know, Charles, what do you think
changed the most about you from starting your journey on
Jones season to today? But because I will say to
you before you answer, one of the most memorable times
for me involving you was when you talked with Guy

(14:40):
about the death of your wife. I mean that was
so poignant and I think so many people who have
lost people identified with that. So you know, how have
you changed since clearly that was a big one, right.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
I think before the show, I probably would say very
close to my self and a lot of questions, always
keep asking why, how, what happened, Why that could happen?
On and on, you know. Then with the show, you know,

(15:13):
when we involved with lots of guys and Joan, we
talked about this, particularly as you mentioned, you know, the
conversation with guy. It kind of you know, changed my angle,
you know, my my openness. You know, if I can
say my door was very closed before.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Do you mean about dating or just in.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
General and also regarding the future partner, if I can say, yeah,
was very kind of closed, you know, but with that
one kind of open it up. That's why, you know,
I even now these days, I wouldn't talk with a
lovely girl on cruise you know before yet I can
talk about that.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
But you know what, Charles, many steps here right now
you're talking to two lovely women on a computer. So
that's a first step for sure.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Absolutely. Yeah, No, I'm delighted.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah, I'm pulling to shain. So that's good. So you
feel like you're more open and ready for love.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Yeah, And also I think on the other side, my
kids probably. We never talked about this before. With the show,
you know, we are pushed into the area. We began
to talk. Actually, we had a little conversation during our holiday,
you know, lunch together conversation details.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Yeah, the girls. Did the girls say it's okay.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
D Yeah, yeah, something like that.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Yeah, something like that. Here's what they said. You can
find a lovely woman, just don't bring home that Susan
or Kathy Charles, I'm a joker, I about joker from
way back on you kid, Well, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Let's see, we're something so happy for you and your experience.
I really am, and I think it really changed your world.
It made you exactly open your eyes and live again.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Right, you see more smiling face on myself.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Now, yes? Good? And that's one that is I mean,
isn't that what it's about at our age, enjoying life, smiling,
looking at waking up happy and grateful every day. That's
kind of what we try to do. So do you
other than chalk, do you keep in touch with guys
from the show, And if so, who.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
Yeah, Well, you know, we have a kind of an
eye call, a group chat among ourselves, and we send
out mostly through the eye messages. Yes, we keep up
what is going on, update and news, so on and
so forth.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
Okay, I have a question. I have a question, Charles.
If you were stranded, We've asked every one of them,
this on deserted island and you could only bring three
guys from the show, who would they be? M why?

Speaker 3 (18:07):
Okay if that's the case, Okay, this is just hypothetically yes, yes,
Mark and the captain.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Guy and okay and why tell me why?

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Now we want to know why?

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Okay, why? Because why?

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Mark?

Speaker 3 (18:27):
The guy has you can have more fun if you
know him well and he knows you well. So really,
On top of that, as Susan mentioned, we are in
an isolated area.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Is a doctor around I know you're going to say,
and makes money in the market, he knows what he's doing.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Then the captain also important in case we need a ship.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Well, no, excuse me, wait, Charles, I hate to break
the news to you. I was married to a naval
officer for almost forty six years and it's brilliant and
charming as husband was. He could not bring a ship anywhere,
He couldn't buy a ship.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
But if they found one, that guy could drive it.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Maybe, right, well, no, this time is different. Our captain
he would do he would do it for us.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
He bought a Mark, he'd get a ship. I love
it and Mark Mark Mark.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
You know when when you talk to him, when you
you know, a chat around him, you really if you
have a sense of security and you have a sense
of warmness. On top of that, he's also very very
diligent person. So in case I'm busy, he can help
to cook as well. So these other three persons I

(19:49):
think would be a fantastic team.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
And you are very strategic. Well, you are a very
spectach planner. It's very clear. Ye you didn't hear him
say oh because so and so, because he likes to
laugh or pour me a beer. This guy he's got,
he's got, he's got a plan. All right. We do advice, Charles,
every every time we have, you know, a guest, we

(20:15):
answer fan questions and we'd love you to join in
and give us your opinion. Are you ready? Okay? So
here we go. Anonymous asks, Hi, Kathy and Susan, I
am really in a mess and I need your help.
My daughter is really in the thick of her teen years.
She's sixteen, and there's literally nothing I can do right

(20:38):
in her eyes. I don't think there's anything in the
family or at school that has been weighing on her
to cause this. I literally just think it's teenage hormones. Well,
the other night, after she had been short with me
all day, I caught her saying some very nasty things
about me under her breath when I asked her to
fold her laundry. I finally snapped, and after yelling, I

(21:02):
ended up going to the computer and canceling her plane
ticket for her spring vacation with her friends. Did I
go too far? She paid for the ticket with her
money and it's non refundable. She didn't even freak out.
She's just been really sad and quiet ever since. How
do I fix this and how do I solve this

(21:23):
attitude problem once and for all? What's as you, Charles?

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Well? For me? If I here correctly, you know, she
she would have better go back to her good friends.
She needs friends, you know, if she has a good
cir called friends, that will help not a bit tremendously.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Second, I think the dad has to ask why things
can come into that bad, you know. In other words,
he did not do much in the previous months or
years had he been constantine, you know, keep an eye
on not you know micro you know management in a sense. Yeah,

(22:11):
but these things, a lot of bad things, if I
can say, should have been prevented.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
But I do not think that.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
I think she needs to be in friends involved before
cancel the trip. I maybe he did it, overdone it.
He should have had a conversation with her.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Well wait, I before we go any further, we don't
know if it's the mother or the father who canceled
the trip because because Anonymous doesn't say. But here's my
question that I thought would be what jumped out at me.
This girl is sixteen. What family lets their child take

(22:55):
a plane trip with her girlfriend at sixteen? First spring break?
I mean, Anonymous, I hope that either you or one
at least one or the other parents is going as
a chaperone. Yeah, but you know the fact that she
paid for the ticket. I think Charles, you have a

(23:15):
point there in that respect for your parents goes a
long way, and with you know, the fun things in life,
also comes responsibility. So I think maybe something was missed
there in the translation with the daughter understanding her position
in the family and what the expectations is that kind

(23:38):
of what you were saying, Charles, But the expectations needed
to be made clear, right.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
I think they the parents, to say the least, they
have neglected a lot of details in the past.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
So you don't think teenagers can just be rotten kids
because of hormones.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
No, I don't think. Well that's not my understanding. If
you being you know, treating her, taking care of her,
you don't have to, you know, ask her every day.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
But she was asking her to fold her laundry and
she didn't feel like doing it, and snap and then
was graping under her breath. That is a normal teenage thing.
And I do think hormonally they get a little bit
bitchy certain times of the month. But mom. For mom
to get that mad or pissed off, however you want

(24:27):
to put it, I get it, because they're being brats
to go. Cancel that. I think you stepped out of
the out of bounds there because you didn't pay for it.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
She did.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
I might not allow her to go if she kept
her attitude up, But you can't cancel it'll take you
over the money.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
Plus I think you know, Kathy, you know say you know,
we don't know the real situation, right, if they have
a normal life, you have the mother and the dad, you.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Know, right both as I got to interrupt you, who
has a normal life anymore? But carry on, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
I think at this circumstances, you know that if the
data canceled, the ticket, the mom, we the unit stabbed in.
Calm the situation down and talk to the daughter, you know,
to find out, you know, why things have been doing
that extreme. But I mean, honestly, this is this can

(25:26):
be very very frustrated as American.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Yes, my daughter's going through it with the almost thirteen
year old, you know what I mean. Girls do have moods.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Yeah, but I don't I think all kids. I mean
I'm sensing that, Charles, and correct me if I'm wrong. Charles,
I'm sensing that you think this is more a parental
issue of not doing their job correctly.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
My correct Yeah, not all time.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
Yeah, Well, I'm here to tell you I was a
perfect parent, as was my husband perfect and we had
problems with all three of our children when they were teenagers.
So thanks Charles, made my day, all right, Charles.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Now we want to know and Bachelor Nation fans want
to know all about you. We have this little fun
game we'd like to do today before we have to
wrap this up. So these are fun, easy questions so
Bachelor Nation can get to know you a lot better
and know Charles.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
We've asked these same questions to every guy from Jones
season that we've been enrolled, so it's going to be fun.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Okay, Kathy my start all right?

Speaker 1 (26:45):
What's one piece of advice Charles that you wish you
could give your younger self?

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Read the more books.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Read more books. How many books do you read?

Speaker 3 (27:02):
Well? I can't count, but I think I should have
read more than I read.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
That.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
That's I mean, that's the kind of a device to
myself when I was young.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Yeah, okay, And how do you unwind after a long day?

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Well, this is it. If you have a good day,
you know, it may be easier. If you have a
bad day, will be very, very difficult. Sometimes I would say, ticket,
take a deep breast and forget it and move on.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
But how do you unwind when you get home from
a long day? What is it you do that you
like to do that helps you just unwind?

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Listen to music?

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Okay, what's your favorite kind of music?

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Any you know, I'm not an artist. In a sense,
but anything a light classic, you know, like instruments wise
violin for example.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
You know, like do you like classical music?

Speaker 3 (27:57):
Yeah, just you know, calm you down, you know, likes
you know, even though I don't interpret the music as
many as many you know people, But that's the way,
you know, it's it's my way of you know, enjoying music. Yeah, yeah,
I can listen to the ballet dance.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Yeah, for example, Chikowski, give me like Chaikowsky like that
swan like yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Yeah yeah, the Swan lady. You know, you know you
enjoyed it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
I took my music appreciation course. I know what's up
with classics?

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Like a saxophone, the good saxophone.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Oh yeah, good jazz, so good jazz. Okay, what is
what was your favorite male Charles? Growing up?

Speaker 3 (28:39):
Fish and the rice.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Kind of fish.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
We all we used to eat a lot of fresh
water fish. We have many many times. I am not
a big fan for the for the fish from the sea,
for example, because the area I was brought up, we
always eat fresh water fish and in those days it's
not polluted. They are so delicious. Yeah that's my favorite. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Now wait, do you cook?

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Yes, I do you know, it's not you know, I
really enjoyed because, as you know, it takes a lot
of time.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
But no, I don't know because I don't cook.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Yes, yes, I need.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
To, you know, because to eat outside sometimes it's really
not healthy.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Not especially when we do it a lot, right, Charles,
what is something you've always wanted to do but have
it done yet?

Speaker 3 (29:34):
I wanted to be a lawyer, and unfortunately when I
was that age, I didn't have the money to go
to the law school. You know, it's very difficult to
get a scholarship. It's easier to get other scholarships for
other majors. But I really really want to be a lawyer.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
What kind of law? What kind of law would you
have practiced?

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Probably criminal law?

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Really that that surprises me, because am I I'm just
gonna you know, say what I think here. I think
you tend to be more black and white and and
law to me, and I've had personal experience with it,
is law is not set in stone. It's really how
well you can argue your case. The laws a suggestion,

(30:20):
not really you.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
Know, Oh, Kathy, you might be not right, you might.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
And Charles, that would not be the first time that
I have not been correct, But I am tell me why,
tell me why.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
This is the reason I wanted to be a lawyer.
It's like my person that I really enjoyed. You know,
I love the cases to be you know, heated, you know, argued,
debated the end you.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Like, and you would have made a great lawyer, Yes,
you would have.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
But that's something I asked about. Something that you always
wanted to do and have it done. Yet you're not
going to now be lawyer. What about an activity like
jumping out of an airplane or something that you always
wanted to do? Anything like that.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
I never I never enjoyed those kind of adventure activities
in a sense.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Okay, okay, I very.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
You know I can be quote unquote proto in quote,
but nothing in.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
So what do you want to do, Charles? Give us
one thing that you want to do. You're not going
to become a lawyer because you know, for obvious reasons
those that ship has sailed, that cruise ship has sailed.
What would you like to do? Though?

Speaker 3 (31:34):
That is probably to improve my dancing.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
I like to teach you. I think dancing with the stars, Charles, and.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
I, yeah, I'm gonna sit that one out. Okay, last
question here before we I have to wrap this. What
would the title of your autobiography be.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
Charles, Oh, that's time of the title. Yeah, something like
a man's dream to be realized.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Say that again, a man's dreams to be realized.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
That's way too many words. How about this one, Charles
in charge? How about that? Charles?

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Yeah, Charles, Charles take charge charge, Charles.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
I was still probably like the Charles in charge?

Speaker 1 (32:33):
All right. I like it. I like it, And you
know what, Charles, I like you.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
We both enjoy super Oh, thank you.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
You're gonna find You're gonna find that person. You're gonna
it's gonna happen. You know what, Susan waitmant, you know
what's gonna happen. He's gonna find a woman here it is.
Here's my prediction, Charles. You're going to find a woman
m h who has a nasty little teenage daughter, and

(33:01):
you are gonna set her straight. That's that's what's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
I hope we all get to meet on that cruise
ship on the Golden Paradise.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Soon's not be dancing with you and I'll be walking
around the ship. Get my five miles in.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
I guarantee buy you all the drinks.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
