Hey, everyone, welcome back to Bacheler halfy hour.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm Show and I'm Serena, and we are here.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
With our favorite guest.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Our favorite comedian, Jared Freed, is on the podcast today.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Jared, welcome back. Thank you so much for having me.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Such a pleasure to be here. It goes both ways.
This is my favorite show to do. I love talking
with you guys. I love that I've etched out a
regular week here like this is so I love that
I've like found a home. I feel like I'm you know,
I feel like I'm like you know, on on the
tonight show and like this hometown week is my week.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
You know.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Taylor Swift goes on Jimmy Fallon every Veterans Day. I
come on Bachelor Half every hometown and it's really it
really puts a smile on my face because this is
famously or I mean, I should never say famously for myself.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
No one knows me. I'm just a troll under a
rock yelling at the show.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
I love hometowns and I know you guys are not
as big a hometown fans as I am. I just
love the premise of person who did not sign up
to go on a reality show has to be on
a reality show because the families are all there somewhat
(01:17):
against their will. It is are the loved One of
theirs was like, please go on the show. I might
get married to this person, and they all have to
show up and we get like four different flavors of family,
which is always a blast for.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Me to date.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Do you have a favorite that you can remember, a
favorite hometown?
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Katie Thurston with her with her aunt and mom is
probably one of the better, more uncomfortable ones.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Do you guys remember that one?
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yes, that was when she.
Speaker 5 (01:53):
Was the bocherrette and it was her family meeting two
of her top guys or whatever. I think Blake Greg, Yeah,
I think it was just Blake. I think that he
was the only guy left.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Well well Greg left or something. There was something.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
I'm sure the historians who listen will update us on
what happened, but I just remember, you know, you think
back like what what it was during COVID, I think too,
and it was just you try to think of like
what like I just want a family who's not into it,
Like I think that is like the most fun thing
that could happen. And you know this this week I
(02:36):
would say. We had four pretty nice interactions. There were
fun moments, there were you know, some it got a
little long, it got a little heavy, you know, with
some of the people, but it was really I always
enjoy it. But how are I I didn't even ask you,
how are you two doing?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
You guys?
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Are you're you're separated right now? And in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
How we're doing doesn't it doesn't really matter. We're not
we're doing, We're doing well. Everything Okay, We're.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Good, We're great.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, because are good?
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah, trying to spark divorce? What's going on.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Everyone? It's not like locations. I mean, I don't know
if there's video here you.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Guys, I'm in Vegas. Well I'm going to I had
to go. I'm going to l A tomorrow. So it
just came out here in golf for a day.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
But I'm up money. So when you're up money in Vegas,
it's a win. Okay.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Back hometown hometowns, go ahead, Sena first hometown.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
First hometown.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
We have Devon, which I was actually surprised they started
with Devin because I don't know, I wasn't that's that
wasn't what I was expecting. But they have Devon in
Houston and they're running with his run club, which I
also wasn't expecting.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
That's the thing, I listen, I would rather die alone
than be then try to meet the woman of my
dreams and run club like like, and here's what I
didn't understand. I'm I had actually I blocked this out
of my brain. I'm watching the run club and I'm like,
didn't these just start? Like? Was I was either asleep
(04:13):
when run clubs became the new social scene because for
Devin to have already been involved in one enough to
have them be his best of friends and wearing shirts with.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
His name on it, I'm like, how is this even possible?
Speaker 2 (04:29):
How do you make these relationships friends? His friends started
the run club?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Okay? Because I was like, are you sure about that?
Speaker 2 (04:38):
That's how I read the situation. I'm not sure, but
that's how I read the situation.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
That it was like, oh, a friend of mine or
friends of mine started this run club? Was it the
other way around? Like he joined the run club and
then they became friends.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
I'll believe this, But like these run clubs like just
started five minutes ago, Like, how did these people know
you this?
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Well?
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Why are they so proud of you, Like I also
like the idea, and Devon is sweating like an animal,
Like they go on this run. It's not a good
like no one is wearing like an under armor material shirt.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
They're all in like common. It's all horrible and.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Disgusting Jens and Flair leggings, Like what are we doing?
Speaker 1 (05:16):
If it makes sense?
Speaker 4 (05:18):
None of it seemed planned out, Like I Devon does
a great job, as he usually does, but I just
was like if someone was like, like I saw that
run club running up, and I was like, if I
were Jenna, I'll be like and the date I'm gonna
go home.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
I didn't know you were a run club guy. I'm
on it, she said.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
She was like this is right up my alley, like
I think she's a and she re playing lacrosse. It
seemed like it was more she seemed to.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Be having more fune than Devin, Like anytime they cut
to shots of them, she's like beaming and Devin looked
like he was sweating.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Well that's the thing, Like Devon is like it's the
hardest workout of his life because think about it, not
only are you running, but then you have to fashion
yourself left you have to like look to your left
and talk and keep on like you're on a date.
Being on a date is exhausting in its own right
now you got to run during it?
Speaker 1 (06:12):
What is this? What are we checking our cholesterol?
Speaker 4 (06:14):
We're on the treadmill while they like hook up things
to our body, like check our heart.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Right.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
I was like horrified by the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
I couldn't think of a date I would want less, But.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
I actually, I actually it kind of made me think
a little differently of deafn because I just assumed like
Devin to me seemed like he's just seems like and
this is a complete assumption on my end, but I
was like, Okay, this guy's gonna be He's like a
guy that's gonna have like his guy friends that he's
been friends with his whole life.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Like yeah, they're gonna be like drinking beer in a bar.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Yeah, yeah. The forum show up.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
But then it's like this, like yeah, like this random
run club from it seemed like yeah, they were dressed
like they were running in two thousand and eight, And
I was like, yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
I wouldn't have you know, and I would be the
most fearful of opening myself up to being insulted because
the minute they come over and she's like, you're in
a run club. Like if I were Devon, they'd look
at me and they'd be like, you run, you've you've ran?
Ever what you run?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Like?
Speaker 4 (07:21):
I the surprise in Jen would really make me feel horrible,
Like I like, I, you've you've ran once. We don't
really you like the amount of us that I would
have get, like for presenting my run club like Devin,
like you know, especially like he's you know, not the
(07:43):
army ranger that Marcus is, like I would.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
It was it shows you Devon's confidence to bring her
to a run club.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
What are your thoughts on his family? The family was
great his I love the dynamic of I.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
I always think it's just funny that you spend the
whole season being like my dad not the best guy,
my dad running around.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
If I know where you're going, I feel the same way.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
And then the dad's there and you're like he's good,
Like it's not like the dad. You don't know what
he's gonna think of this, Like the dad has to
like own his past in a way that like, I
don't think a lot of people.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Do that like it was.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
I was just so the way that it had been
said up all season that anytime we hear about the dad,
it's like my dad wasn't present and my dad was right.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
I'm not saying I believe him, like I'm not I'm not.
Speaker 5 (08:37):
Saying like I didn't believe the story, but like I
was so taking like no part of me thought his
dad would be present.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
And then he was like, my dad's yeah, good for you,
like honestly good for.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Him, right, and you know it is funny.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
He's like I did think Devin's dad was gonna come
dressed as Sam and in the leather jacket, like smoking
a cigarette next to him, motorcycle outside, like what like
look at Jen, Yeah, she's hot, Like I like he
was like like the way he was described, I thought
it was gonna be like but he was great.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
And then the stepdad was hilarious.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
He's like the stepdad looked like the mascot for every stepdad,
Like he was like his name was Todd, Like I
love Todd. The stepdad like it just like he fit
exactly how this dynamic. And then anytime you can get
a grandma and grandpa on the show, I'm happy. I
mean they you know, they tell the story of how
they met, and you could tell like Devon's been the
(09:33):
Bart Simpson, Devin the menace of his family, like the
you know, everything was true, Like the grandma was like,
oh you were a g string who could have thought?
Like you could tell like Devon is is the character?
Speaker 3 (09:47):
Yeah, the family, Devin the Menace, hometown whose number number.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Two is Jeremy in Connecticut.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
And you know what bold to put not Camp Crystal
Lake because I don't know about you guys had no
idea what they were talking about.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
So I guess it's not the camp he went to
growing up that he's mentioned.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
So I searched it up because I was like, that's
so random.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
No one was wondering if it was Camp Crystal Lake,
and I guess it's like a Friday the thirteenth reference.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Oh is that what it is? Yeah? Yeah, I didn't
know what this was.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Went right over my head.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
I've never seen the movies, but even if I had,
I don't know if I would have put it together.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yeah, I guess, like, I don't know. It was such
an interesting choice for them to tell. I thought it was.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Because he was Jewish, and they kept bringing up his
summer camp friends.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
But maybe that was me making that joke, and I
was like, I was like, it just was fine. I
thought that was like a like a producer who went
to camp who was like happy that a guy went
to camp was on the show.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
Like I saw it and just assumed was like I
miss something, like maybe he talked a lot about a
camp in a past episode. No, it was a it
was a reference to Friday the thirteenth, and I guess
like that's the camp that it takes place at.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
In one of them, it did look like a murder
scene that they walked up to.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
I mean like it was made a joke like are
we going on a dat? Are you here to murder me?
Speaker 4 (11:14):
So y?
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah, really it looks sketchy, okay, but it was.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Weird that they're like, we're going to Stuart Stuart Leonards,
which is like a market that is in like Westchester
and Connecticut. Like it's like a have you heard of it? Yes,
it's like a famous market. It's like people from that
area like really, have.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
You Joe, do you know this place?
Speaker 4 (11:35):
No? This is like a known place that like people
from that area like you know, it's like wah wah
and sheets, like the way people have this nostalgic things.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Like a classic for Connecticut.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Right and and Westchester. I would say so, but I didn't.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
I knew they had the characters and like, I mean,
they reacted like they had never been to Disney World before,
like the way they acted like there's cows everywhere, like
they really put it on. But I did enjoy the
date and I loved that his aunt was there, and
it's like, of course your aunt is there.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
That's what I was gonna ask. Yeah, that's what I
was gonna ask. Do you think do you think she
figured out that bachelor rolled up and they're filming in
this grocery store?
Speaker 2 (12:22):
You is the mom and the aunt twins?
Speaker 1 (12:29):
They looked a lot alike.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
They looked identical to me.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Yes, yeah, they looked very similar.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
I I love the the aunt coming through, like obviously
the mom was like this is where they're gonna be.
Make sure you're there around twelve o'clock and like see
what she's like. You know, like that was like the move.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Yeah. I liked that. It was fun.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
I liked that he was so surprised, but like you know,
with my mom whenever she's up to her high jinks.
I'm never surprised, Like I would just be like, yeah,
of course, my aunt it's gonna be here, and I'm
gonna of course she's gonna make my life harder in
any way she can, you know, like I would like
I would assume that, and then.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, were you were you shocked? We'll just jump to
the to the end because he goes home. Were you shocked?
He went home?
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Not really, I it kind of felt like, well, also,
it's so last second, like he gets this great he
has this great date two weeks ago and it was
a great date, but like it was a great second
or third date. It wasn't we should get engaged, I mean,
like and him he was holding back.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
So they go to his house.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
And when they go to his house and the mom
who looks like the mom looks like the face.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Of Mischa go Goths.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
There's this thing like Mischi Gos is like like I
just imagine this mom's screaming this is Mischi Goos, Like
all the time she just looks like that. It's like
just always screaming terms like she just like had that
like vibe to her.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Her name was Karen. She looked like the mascot for Karen's.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Like it was just like perfect and you could tell
the not buying it in her and.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
Totally I thought it was so weird too that she
basically said to Jen like, I don't know you, so
I can't tell you if he's gonna propose, if he
like where this is gonna go, because I just don't
know you as as a couple, And then cut to
Jen in her interview She's like, she just doesn't know
if Jeremy's ready for marriage. I was like, I'm pretty
sure that's not what just happened to all, but that's
(14:35):
what we can go with.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
That's what makes everyone feel more comfortable.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Right, she didn't buy it. You could tell the mom
just didn't buy it. The sister didn't buy it. I
mean the sister. I mean she was really grilling everyone,
including him, which I enjoyed, Like, and you could tell
Jeremy wasn't taking this as seriously as maybe the other
guys were. Like that was like the vibe of like
we'll figure it out, Like there was like it didn't
(15:00):
really feel like a guy who was like it felt
like a guy who was like maybe will be Instagram
Official not like yeah, see, I.
Speaker 5 (15:08):
Think if you got to the and he would have
gotten down on one knee, I think absolutely. I think first,
I just think he's like he's just really casual, Like
I could just see him being at the end being
like sure all proposed, like yeah, like, let's do it.
Like I just think he gives really casual energy about
the whole thing, which is something you don't see a lot.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Was it him that you were saying?
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Is definitely I could definitely see this guy getting engaged
on paradise.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Was it him?
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (15:34):
Yeah, And I stand by that. I could be very wrong,
but that's where my head's out right now.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
With him with his Jewish bro vocal fry. I was thinking.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
You could get maybe I could get married, and you
don't have to convert.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
I don't mind if you're a Buddhist.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
Who Okay that we have Uh, we'll touch on Jonathan's hometown,
which I thought was pretty pretty standard.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
I mean they.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Were every home was very similar.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
Yeah, I mean his hometown his dad kind of looked
like a pastor.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
He was in like the funny the khaki suit.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
And though the best part of John's hometown is the
brother who's and.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
The sister law.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
Sister Law looks like a Bocheler contestant. She was like,
she was buying into it hardcore too.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
I was throwing off, if your family John to me,
my brother's my brother's name is John, but to me
John and John. I know, I know John is short
for Jonathan, but to me, there are two different names.
And if your family's calling you John, I would assume
that you go around introducing yourself to people as John
(16:52):
not Jonathan.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Well, it is weird to go by full name. Talked
about a nickname with the family. Yeah, I agree. Usually
families going, oh.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
I think that's weird. I mean, joe your family like,
you would never.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
Introduce yourself as Joey, but your entire family calls you Joey, Joey,
but Joey.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
But think about it. If I went around, I was like,
if my family called Joey and I'm like, I'm.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Joseph, Yeah, no, that would I was a little formal.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
My brother tried to do that move.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
My brother's a Harry and then he goes to college
and he's like, I'm Harrison, and my dad and I
were like, what the fuck are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (17:28):
And and he was like and.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Like all these girls in his freshman dorm were like Harrison, Harrison, Harrison.
We're like, why are they calling you Harrison? And that
is his full name. But he's like I made a change,
like he went like what he went into college, Like
this is a a grand decision that I'm making. And
I literally stopped him and I was like a year
into the working world whatever, and I was like, you
(17:52):
should go back to Harry.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
There's because no one forgets a young Harry.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
I was like, you're making a bad des You think
this this is a more formalized way to go about
life and make yourself more serious, you will be wrong.
Young Harry fun young Harrison easily forgotten.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
That was my advice.
Speaker 5 (18:11):
But I feel like Harrison it sounds sexier than Harry, right,
Harry Styles and yeah, Harry Styles.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
There's yeah, there's.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Some what does he go by today? Harry? He's back to.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Harry took he took your advice.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Yeah, I know. I believe in this to this day.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Like I've never had a nickname, Jared is like I
never I was like, what's the nickname? And then recently
I was at the Comedy Seller and there's a band
at the Village Underground one of one of their stages
as a band, and the piano player is a friend
of mine and he's Red and one day he pulls
me to said, he goes, you know, my name's Jared too,
And I was like, wait a.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Minute, Red was an option. I could have been read
freed Jared, I'd be a lot cooler. Well, Jared like comedian.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Red is like sexy hot, you know, musician, Like I
could have a different life.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
What am I doing? I'm there changing.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
We'll sir, call you read next time on the podcast.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Please So no. But here's the thing about the the
sister in.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Law doing the classic tell you our extreme meeting story
to normalize all meeting and extreme ways, which was really annoying.
Like she's like, we met on Tinder and two weeks
later we're moving in and having a baby.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
And I loved when she was telling it.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
John's brother just looked the most miserable you've ever seen
someone look like you could just see on his face, like, yeah,
we've probably moved a little too quick. And she's like
it worked for us, and You're like, did it?
Speaker 2 (19:57):
I liked her? But I think to Andrew's saying, so
he said nothing.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
Her and the husband slash Jonathan's brother, felt like they
were on very They had very different strategies going into it,
like as a couple who comes in with yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Like they've moved fast. They have kind of a unique
dating story.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
She's trying to bond with them over it, like they
couldn't have taken a different approach to the situation, Like she.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Was all in and he couldn't have been less in.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
I totally agree.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
It felt like he was like sitting behind her being like,
we move too quick, don't do it, don't make the mistake.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Though I'm just trying to protect her.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
It's like from what you seem like, you're in a happy,
beautiful marriage.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Wow, I'm gonna tell you.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
John's brother and that wife got in a fight in
the car after that taping because she was all like,
if we can do it, you can do it, and
he's sitting there being like I'm just trying to.
Speaker 5 (20:47):
Maybe I'm just trying to offset him. Like maybe she
was like I'm gonna like, you know, when someone's like.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Your good cat bad, I felt, you know, I you know,
when you can feel an energy. I just looked at
him and he and he looked like a guy who
was stuck and I and I that guy.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Has not decided to put the relationship on blast. But
Jared has this.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
Kind of I want the I want the footage of
John's brother pulling him into another room, going dude, I
got a mortgage. Now. Three months ago, I was in
Vegas hooking up with Broad's and now I'm got a
kid on the way. Don't do this to yourself, you know,
like that's what it felt like he was gonna do.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
He was very skeptical.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
Okay, last one, not least marcus hometown.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Thoughts heavy heavy.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
I mean Marcus's whole story who heavy yeahs. And he
just seems like such like he's an American hero. He
got you know, like he got you know, injured in war.
He was a foster kid and his sister's there and
their bond so strong, and then like the there was
(22:10):
only one funny part of like it all was super serious,
and then you could see like Marcus is fighting with
giving in to like this whole thing and like showing
emotion like that's his big story. There was one guy
that was like his Army Ranger friend who did the
classic like wait till she meets this group and it's like,
(22:33):
you guys know from like doing events. I know, from
doing like corporate shows or going to like doing like
meeting people on the road.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Everyone thinks their group is like wild and crazy who
can handle us? And they're all the same.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
And when he went into that speech, like, really, dude,
you think she's not gonna be able to handle like
a former army ranger who was trained to be the
most respectful, wonderful person, Like I think we're gonna be okay.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
I just hate that, Like, wait till you meet my family.
Oh my family is Oh my god. My aunt Phyllis
is just crazy.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
And it's like, have I met an aunt who doesn't
shut the fuck up before?
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Yeah? I have. Okay, not gonna be a problem for me.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
Not gonna be a problem hearing about how work is crazy.
I'm not gonna be an issue to hear you go.
I went on a date and then like cool, cool story, bro,
I I I can't stand that. And honestly, eat our family.
Oh my god, we have a crazy cousin who goes
(23:40):
to college. Like not that cool.
Speaker 5 (23:43):
You know what I found interesting too, is they usually
show the whole front of the house like a big
zoom out image of the house, and they did it
with this one, and I only noticed because the front
door looked really nice. I was like, I wonder what
this house looks like?
Speaker 4 (23:55):
At first, I was like, is this a prison like
when they showed it at first, and like it looked
very very much like a county like space, Like it
looked like a Knights of Columbus. I I I I.
I did notice the home and I was like, where
is it like? And then the room they were in
was very much like you know, like Y M c A,
(24:17):
you know, hangout.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
With the party. Yeah, it was going to be a
party room.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
I didn't have the vibe of like that's where I
go watch t g IF on a Saturday Friday night, you.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Know, like g I F Wow, that's that's what That's
that's wild. That one was for you, Joe, Thank you,
thank you. All right, Red, before we.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Let you go, wait, one more thing we have to
talk about.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
What did you think of them throwing all the guys
together and having them chat about their hometowns, because I
feel like we we rarely see that, we rarely together
outside of a rose ceremony really cut off and I
actually I really wanted them to break the fourth wall
here and talk about how their family's experience was with
like being on the show.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
But right, no, I thought that would have been a
good time.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Well, the four of them being together, like I thought
kind of was a breaking of the fourth wall because
they start talking about like it didn't feel like they
enjoyed it as much as they thought they were going
to enjoy it, Like they're like, we're boys, cheers beers
for the boys. And then you see them like kind
of unraveling, and I'm like, yeah, this does make if
(25:20):
you really do like love this woman, like we've been
a part for long enough to kind of like believe,
you know, you go back to being like on Tinder,
you know, where you're like I'm the only one.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
They're talking to.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
You know.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
It's I think it's easy to go back to that
like delusion a little bit. And I wouldn't you know,
delusion is a strong word, but I wouldn't blame them
for that. So then the minute you put back together
and you're like, we are friends, but we're also four
friends who are still not dumped by the same woman,
Like I kind of felt for them, and then like
it was funny, like Jeremy is the only one that
(25:54):
can joke about it, because I believe Jeremy was the
only one that really wasn't emotionally that far along, you know,
Like you have Marcus who's like questioning his own sanity
for not being as in love as the other ones.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
Yet I want to see I think he's going to
send himself home to the to.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
The contestants that go on the show that are like
that get down to the end and.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
They're like, like Marcus, like I can't, like what is
wrong with me? I don't well, I want to be
like it's okay that you may not be fully involved
with this woman right now, Like it's okay.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Like that is a top I will say, Like I
could relate to him, cause I remember hometown Week being
like looking around we did like a chot at the
beginning of the week and being like, oh, I'm not
where you guys are, And then you kind of start
to internally be like, well, what's wrong with me?
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Like why am I the outlier here? Why are they
in a place that I'm not?
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Like?
Speaker 5 (26:48):
It is kind of disorienting. So I really did feel
for him.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
I and also the guilt like you're being told by
all of your the women in your life, go for it,
just say you love her so that you get her.
And then if Marcus is like not sure, is he
gonna like is he gonna be the one that's in
the way of someone who actually wants to you know, Like,
(27:13):
like I listen, in my own dating life, I have
this moment where I'm like, I wish I knew if
this was the temperature I should be, and then I'll
cut things off because I'm like, I'm not at a
temperature that I don't even know what that temperature feels like.
Like I have that in my own dating life where
you go, I feel something for this person, but like
is this what it feels like?
Speaker 1 (27:33):
No one knows.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
And then it's like, well, if I'm not sure, I
should just cut this off completely because I'm like, who
am I to take to you again? The phrase most
women use don't waste my time? And I don't think
any guy who's just a normal Jim or Joe wants
to be the accused time waster.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
So this is this is a little deeper than I expect.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
I'm sorry to bring us there, this is sorry to
ruin your Vegas Boys trip, Joe.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
I know, is the conversation.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
You're having at the win You're probably like, they'll hit
on a soft seven.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Well, I'm married. What's right there?
Speaker 4 (28:14):
No, I'm saying you're having you're not having deep conversations.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
While there No, no, no deep conversations.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
You're talking about action on the Patriots under for season wins.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Just walking around and I think that slot's gonna hit.
I think that was gonna hit.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
You do the slots, that's what you're doing. You're a
trader who does slot machines. I don't.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
I don't play slot machines only once in a while.
What do you play Roulette? I love roulette?
Speaker 4 (28:40):
You play Roulette and I hit you're married to a
roulette player.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
And but this this trip, this trip, this trip, I
wanted playing blackjack.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
But okay, Jared, give me man craps. I hate craps. Jared,
before we let you go, give me a prediction. Who
do you think Jen ends up with?
Speaker 2 (29:02):
And who do you think the next person to go
home is? Who do you think goes home off Fantasy sweets?
Speaker 4 (29:06):
I think after the Fantasy Suites, John.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Or Jonathan goes home.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
I think she's gonna propose a non proposal. I've been
calling her fun Jen since the minute she came on
the screen because she's all about fun, she's tequila shots.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
I don't think she wants to get married. I don't
think she.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
I think she's looking for someone to like have a
serious boyfriend that respects her and she feels like valued
by and I think that's enough of a win for her,
the idea that she is. She says on this episode,
I've never introduced a guy to my parents, and it's like,
to me, that's too much, too soon, like for for
some like let's I think they're going to walk before
(29:50):
they run. So I think it's gonna end with her
being like, hey, Devin, let's date and you can worship me.
And that's how I kind of like, because Devon's gonna
that Is that your answer? That's my answer? I think Devon.
I think Devon she's already even said she loves she
loves him, falling for him. She didn't she said that
(30:13):
earlier than anyone else.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
That's true.
Speaker 4 (30:16):
I think Devon offers like everything she wants, like a warship,
which she does. You know, like Jen likes being liked
and you can see that who amongst us doesn't. But
it feels like Jen just likes the idea of someone's
like into her, and I think Devin gives her that.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Okay, well all right, well well we will see pretty shortly. Well,
this is a perfect place to end it, and we'll
pick back up. So everyone, thank you for tuning into.
Speaker 1 (30:47):
Best your Happy Hour. Make sure you stay tuned into
part two with Jared. Thank you, thank you for listening.
