wedding celebration coming up literally next weekend, so we are

We've got all the girls like from my cast that
I'm really close with, so Jess, Mercedes, Gabby, We've got
Davia Aeriel that crew coming in, and then we've got
Joey Kelsey, We've got We've I don't Kathy, I don't
know if you've met him yet, but it's Jenna Palick's boyfriend,

Yeah, so a lot of these super folks coming in.
So there's like a bunch of people from different seasons

for the celebration and then we're doing like a big

Yes, So Zach and I are building a home. It'll

We finished building in like July August. They're saying they
just broke ground. So that's super exciting and I'm just
like so pumped about it, Like this is my super Bowl.

I got to like pick all the colors my flooring.

I saw you looking at countertops and picking out marbles
and grants, and I thought, oh, she's to blast with them.

So it's this house. Watch this seamless transition, Katie. So

It's got three, four or five bedrooms in it.

WHOA, what how far is it from where you're at now?

It's more we're north, so it's more south. It's a bit.

So it's probably like a fifteen twenty minute drive from
where I am right now. So we're going to be
on the complete other end of Austin, which I'm cited
forth south of the airport.

No I am. I am in central Austin, So Katie'll
be south of me, but still close enough for me
to come over and babysit for sure if we're.

Gonna need you because we have no family here.

I'm family, that's right. So we have a question. You
said in something I read. I think there's a Bachelor
Nation article, which are always fabulous fun to read if

You said something about your health being one hundred percent
before you have children, kid? What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Yeah, I think right now.

I went to a doctor because I've been like having
like chronic fatigue.

I've been having brain.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
Fog, muscle a pregnant, No, I would do with that,
but I guess I'm like really low in vitamin D,
so I'm on these like we me too supplements and
there's some other things too that I gotta check out
and make sure we're all good. Yeah, but I think,

just like being a nurse too, I just want to
be the healthiest I possibly can, especially before we have
little baby.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
And are you going to try or are you just
gonna let it happen and not care which one way.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Or the other, or do you have a plan.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
Yeah, I think.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
Our plan is to kind of like start pulling the
goalie in like fall of twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Six, get in the house, get settled.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 5 (04:36):
And I don't want to be like nauseated while I'm
decorating because I'm so excited for this, Like I don't
want to be like throwing up and I just want
I just Katie.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Not everyone. Let me just tell you, not everyone throws
up and gets sick. Some people just get pregnant like
me and eat until they explode and then pop the
babies out and do it all over again.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Oh, if that's the case for me, I trut that case.

So has anything changed after saying I.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Do do you feel any differently? I mean you were
living together, so but what has changed, if anything?
Speaker 4 (05:12):
I don't know. It's just like we're just so in
love with each other.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Whether there's a two rings on my finger or no
rings at all, we're just so in love with each other.
And he's just such an incredible man, Like I genuinely,
he's like the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful, selfless, like.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Everything you want in a husband, that's what Zach is.
And yeah, I don't think anything with each other.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Yeah, we're just growing every day and just so fun
waking up with your best friend.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
He's so funny out with all the time, do fun things.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
We have to go back. Does everybody know? I think
they know. One of the sweetest things Zach did for
you was another engagement. Yeah, does everyone know that story?
Can you just like give a quick little share it.

I mean we did post it on social media, but
I think after the show, like obviously that was very
constructed by the Bachelor and the whole setup and everything
and lights and cameras.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
That's just like not normal.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
So I think Zach always had this idea of wanting
to propose to me again.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
And I think it was really.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
Sweet because it's kind of like, Okay, now you see
me for everything that I am when the cameras are off,
like you see my flaws and flaws and all the good,
the bad, all of it. So yeah, he reproposed to
me in Portugal, which was beautiful. It was incimmittently it's
just us and it was perfect and we went on
a little sunset.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Did you know he was going to do it?
Speaker 5 (06:54):
I had a feeling he was going to do it,
but not there and I guess she was like carrying
around the ring all day and he didn't know when
to do it. It was just very like at the
whim he was like okay, baby, like I love you
so much.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
And then as soon as he said that, I blocked out.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I was like, oh, okay, so wait, because you know
I have a detailed person. So you had one ring
on and this is an engagement of all you know,
untold proportions, like who represents this, darling? I love you.
Let me slip off that other diamond ring and let
me slip on a new diamond ring.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Yeah it was. It was pretty funny, but too so.
Now we have two so we.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Have Are we blending them and getting a giant one
at this point or what is your plan?
Speaker 5 (07:40):
It's funny because I have put them on at the
same time and it's just too much for me. I'm
just like a simple I don't like anything too flashy
kind of girl. So I think we're gonna hold on
to the Neil Lane diamond for now.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Maybe I don't.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
If you have a daughter, it could be her.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Yeah, you know, she's Kitty's not flashy. You know, a
five bedroom home that she's killing. I mean, there's nothing
flashy about that. I love you and you know that
we've both been kind of busy and I haven't seen
you very much. But I'm saying it here publicly. When

that little munchkin or twins or triplets, whatever you may have,
I will be there to help you.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Babies and helps too.

We were all there was she out of town?

And we were all the whole, the whole, So we
had a little get together. That was my slip up.

were looking like like you were having a blast.

And finally Kathy's kitchen was used.

But so wait, Katie, I have a question about your
I know you want to become or at least get
a green card. Correct, Yeah, have you started that yet?
Speaker 5 (09:10):
So basically, when I left Canada in August, there's a
three month kind of like probation period where I can't
do anything. So basically in December we're going to start
the process and then from there it's kind of like
the unforeseeable future of when I can leave the country
when we will get it, but I'm working with a
great immigration lawyer.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
So hopefully sooner than later. But we'll see.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
It's yeah, it's it's a lot, but that's just for
a green card. Do you plan on becoming a citizen?
Speaker 5 (09:40):
No, I'll keep my citizenship in Canada, but both, yeah,
I'll be a permanent resident here. I don't want to
take away my Canadian citizenship.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
You don't have to. You can be dual, Okay, you
have both.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
You can be dual, but I think you have to.
I don't know the in and outs.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
I don't want to. I do. My sister was my
sister's dual.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
You could be both, Okay, I didn't.
Speaker 5 (10:01):
I think it's maybe like the reverse, Like if Zach
and I were to live in Canada, he would have
to revoke his US citizenship.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
In order to be a Canadian Canadian.

Yeah, there's one of them where you can't have both.
And I think it's just if he came to Canada.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Well, my sister moved. I don't know, maybe laws are changed.
My sister moved to Canada and America Canadian and kept
dual citizenship.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Okay, well, maybe I'm wrong, I'm I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Maybe I don't know, but whatever, we would love to
have you in this country as a citizen prominent resident.
Will take anywhere we can get you.
Speaker 2 (10:30):

So we just had uh Mel Fantasy Suites. We just
it just aired on Golden Bachelor, and we were curious
because we are voyeurs. We want to know about your
experience as a successful couple that went through fantasy suite. So,
if if Mel is with someone right now, what advice
(10:56):
do you have for the woman he's with, you know,
tell us what your thoughts were fantas see sweets moving forward.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
I mean, for Mel, I would just say be yourself,
trust your gut. Don't put any declarations like, oh, I'm
not having sex this week anything like Zach did, because
that kind of turned the corner in the worst way.
But yeah, I think also just like taking advantage of
the time really getting to know each woman.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
For who they are.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Could you feel what were you me?
Speaker 5 (11:25):
I mean, I mean everybody's gonna deal with Fantasy Suite
Week differently.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
I think I've watched the Bachelor of the past.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
I knew full fledged what I was getting into when
I signed that contract. If I got that far, then
that was potentially something that was going to happen. And
I wasn't blind to that, and I knew that going
into it, and I just wanted to compartmentalize each relationship
as best as I possibly could.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
You mean, I'm sorry, I have to interrupt. Do you
mean Zach's other relationships? You said compartmentalize the relationships which one?
Speaker 5 (11:57):
Yeah, the other women right, yeah, with the other women
Gabby and Ariel were there for Fantasy Suite Week, And yeah,
you just I just wanted to go into that week
and just grow together and get to know him more
and vice versa.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
That's all I wanted.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
And you weren't thinking about the other women. You weren't. No,
I wasn't.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
I was trying to because I was very confident in
our relationship and I was confident in who I am
as a woman and what I can bring to the table.
And if you want that, that's amazing. If you don't,
then you don't.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
And so so Susan and I were just talking on
one of our other podcasts about what we of course,
we don't know how Mel's season as we're recording this,
we don't know how his season ends. But you know,
he's struggled a little bit to choose to declare love.
(12:53):
He hasn't really been able to. And so Susan asked me,
what could you have done that if if Mel said
to both women, look at I can't choose either one
of you because I need to get to know you better.
Could you have done that with Zach? Could you have
said it?
Speaker 3 (13:08):
I honestly respect that if and he wanted to continue
dating both of you.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Answer the show? That was the question. Okay, that's a
big difference.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Okay, yeah, you will. You need to pick. You need
to pick which one you want to further grow your relationship.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
You wouldn't okay, See, you wouldn't have been willing with
one of if it was down to two you and
let's say Ariel and you was he's going to shows
over He says, I can't commit to the one of you. Again,
we don't know what Mel did with this, just a
hypothetical situation. You wouldn't. You would have said to Zach,
no way, you choose me or you choose Ariel.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
Otherwise, Yeah, I'm not doing this for Yeah, this is
why you know your girlfriend, right, Okay, Kathy I asked
her this question.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
She said, no, I'm confident in myself he could date
both of us after the show, and because I feel
like he would choose me at the end.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
There is no way.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Yeah.

Yeah, that's tough.

I like after the show, it's.

Kind of like you should know by that point who
you want to carry a relationship with.

Yeah, okay, it's gonna be another show, another season. All right, Well,
what advice do you have, because clearly you you got
the guy, you didn't have to share him with anyone.
What advice do you have for the couple Melontos, assuming
he chose someone coming off the show, because you know,
getting out of that bubble is a thing.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
Oh my god, is it? Ever?
Speaker 5 (14:36):
I think for us it really work for Zach and
I just because we truly just wanted to like dive
into our relationship further when we could just prance around,
go for coffee dates.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
How does he treat a server? Like what do you
like with your friends? Meeting them? So I think we
Zach and I just really just.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
Wanted to be with each other and we didn't let
like like press or event or any of that in
our life. Like Zach is pretty much offline. He doesn't
love social media, even like him trying to Like when
I say, babe, can you get in this TikTok, it's
like pulling teeth for him.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
So now you love us, we'll do that.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
Yeah, And honestly, I kind of I would take that
over a man that's like, hey, babe, get a shot
of me, you know, doing bicep curls for my followers.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Like, okay, but that's not the guy I kind of
that's not the guy I.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Want to be you with.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
So anyways, Zach went back to his normal life. I
went back to mine. I mean I was a full
time nurse. Now I'm a part time nurse, and I'm
very grateful for that because we know the emotional and
the physical.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Yes, that's a lot.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
Yeah, it's a lot pactingness that that can create.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
But yeah, we just went back to our normal lives
and we you know, the events that we wanted to
go to.

The So would your advice be for melon whoever to
go back to their you know, what would your advice
be for them?
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (15:53):
I think just like going back to your regular lives
and like try and try and mend them together. I mean,
you can get really consumed by all of this craziness
the advantage of some of it, but not let it
consume your life. Like Zach and I are just normal kids.
Speaker 4 (16:14):
Yeah exactly.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Did you hear what she just said? We're just normal
kids who fell in love on a TV show.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
So all right, I have a question for you, and
we're talking about past seasons. Out of the entire franchise,
is there anybody that you wish that would have been
able to make it to Fantasy Suites?
Speaker 5 (16:34):
You know what, I think everything happens for a reason,
and I think, no matter what, the leads just have
to trust their gut.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
But somebody who made it further, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
A lot of times people will say, but if he chose,
like in this year's episode of Golden if he had
if he kept Debbie, or if he kept so and
so going through a fantasy suite.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
If Gary chose for me?
Speaker 4 (17:12):
Oh, I don't know how to answer that question. Now,
I don't. I don't really remember.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Well, let me ask you. That's my next question, Katie,
that's my next question. How much of a make or
break do you think fantasy suites are?
Speaker 4 (17:27):
Yeah, it depends what happens.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
I well, isn't it when you take your MIC's off,
you actually talk as a couple.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
When you really get to know somebody like it's it's hard.
So in the in those moments, Yes, at fantasy suite,
we you really have to, like you kind of like
stay up for like the whole night.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Just okay, I want to know that. So, what is
the biggest thing you learned about that you can share
the biggest thing you learned the most important thing you
learned about Zach in Fantasy Sweets you didn't know?
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Oh, I learned how clean and organized he was.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
Like he had his like shirts laid out on the bed,
he had.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
His toothbrush in a specific spot. I'm like, oh, close
to be here, Like what is it?
Speaker 2 (18:16):
I love it?
Speaker 4 (18:17):
I love it. But I was like, wow, this man
is clean, like very clean.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
He's neat and organized. That's big.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
Plus he's a little bag and I'm like I've got
shit everywhere. Sorry if I'm not allowed to say that word. Yeah,
I learned how organized.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
You When you got to do the Fantasy Suite.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
When you walked in, did you be like, finally, nobody's
going to hear us, It's just me and you.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Did you have that feeling? Oh yeah, you're nervous.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
A little bit of both.
Speaker 5 (18:43):
It was like finally like I can like really show
you that I'm like super goofy and silly because like
when cameras were on me, I kind of hurtled up
a little bit and I was like, oh my god, Katie,
don't say or do the wrong thing.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
Don't make yourself look like an idiot.
Speaker 5 (18:56):
And like in the Fantasy Suite, I was like, all
right here around me.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yeah, what is the thing that Zach learned about you?
What if I asked him, what would you say? What
do you think the thing? The biggest thing he learned
about you that he didn't know.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
I think he realized how funny I was.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
You are funny. You are funny.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
I'm pretty funny.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
But I think I don't you know what it was
like three years ago, so it was really hard to remember.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Oh, come, I remember if it is in pieces of
what happened.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
But were you Were you nervous? I mean, if you
can't remember, like I would be nervous.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
A lot of the conversation was what had just happened,
and that was the fact that he did he was
intimate with Gabby, and we were talking about you know,
he was, he was owning up, he was apologizing, he
was We were just diving into communication, our communication styles.
We also learned that about each other too, and how
we deal with com like how are we gonna find

a resolution? I think that was really important for us
to go through, go through story.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Because so, how were you supposed to know? How did
you know that he had slept with Gabby?
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (20:12):
Well, but actually I actually just knew because.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
When you're on the show, you you gained these friendships
with the girls more than you do the lead. I
spend more time with Ariel and Gabby, and I was
very aware of.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
What certain people needed in order to progress.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
And I was fully aware of what was most likely
going to happen.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
Nobody told me who it was. I pieced it together myself.
Nobody had to tell me.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
But she was in the fantasies. How many were in
the fantasy suite three of us? So I'm saying, who
did the other one? I mean, I'm trying to figure
out how you knew because you don't see the other women, right.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
I just knew based on how our friendships, I mean
for each other, Like even when like producers were like
go to bed, it was like Aeriel, Gabby and I
would like go into a hotel room together, and just.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Yeah, I knew.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
I knew.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
I knew, and.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Well, yes, clearly, but it was not a it was
not a him being in him it with someone else
clearly was not a make it or break it for
you in the fantasy suite.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
No, not at all. That's the thing I felt.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Really. I felt humiliated, and I also was like, oh wow, okay,
our relationship isn't isn't as strong as I thought it
was but Dak and I talked a lot during that
time that we had off cameras, and I just like
I got some more clarity.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
I got more insight into who he is as a man.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
And at the end of the day, he's an incredible man.
I could see that off the show. Within like the
first time I ever met and met him, I was like, Wow,
this man is genuine, he's sweet, he's kind, like it's
everything you want.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
So so did you know at the end of the
Fantasy Suites how confident were you that you were the one?
Because I was.
Speaker 5 (22:09):
I wasn't confident you were in what I could bring
to the table like I was just I was like,
if it's not me, I'll be okay. It's gonna hurt,
but I will be okay no matter what. And if
it is me, then he's going to be the happiest
man alive for the rest of his life.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
And he is and he is.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
So that's you know, like I said, that's why I'm
so excited to see the end with mel because he's
got these two women that seemingly he could love both
of them, love or grow to love both of them,
or grow to love neither of them. But I just wondered.
You know, listen, the day I end up in a
fantasy suite, you can expect the stock market to go
to zero, the you know, the to snow in the

middle of July, so you know, keep that in mind.
But I would say that, I would say that I
can't imagine leaving there and not feeling like you were
the one.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Yeah, feeling do they give you that they give you
any Yes, hopeful, that's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Yes, be able to share.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
So yeah, there was a moment. I think it was
our last chance to date.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
And I don't know if the camera's picked up on this,
because I think they have to be in a certain
radius in order to pick up your mic Anyways.

They had like shot down.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
They were like already walking to the waterfall, and I

No I am. I am in central Austin, So Katie'll
be south of me, but still close enough for me
to come over and babysit for sure if we're.

said in something I read. I think there's a Bachelor

You said something about your health being one hundred percent
before you have children, kid? What does that mean?

Yeah, I think right now.

I went to a doctor because I've been like having
like chronic fatigue.

I've been having brain.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
Fog, muscle a pregnant, No, I would do with that,
but I guess I'm like really low in vitamin D,
so I'm on these like we me too supplements and
there's some other things too that I gotta check out
and make sure we're all good. Yeah, but I think,

just like being a nurse too, I just want to
be the healthiest I possibly can, especially before we have
little baby.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
And are you going to try or are you just
gonna let it happen and not care which one way.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Or the other, or do you have a plan.

Yeah, I think.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
Our plan is to kind of like start pulling the
goalie in like fall of twenty twenty.

Six, get in the house, get settled.

Yeah, exactly.

And I don't want to be like nauseated while I'm
decorating because I'm so excited for this, Like I don't
want to be like throwing up and I just want
I just Katie.

Not everyone. Let me just tell you, not everyone throws
up and gets sick. Some people just get pregnant like
me and eat until they explode and then pop the
babies out and do it all over again.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Oh, if that's the case for me, I trut that case.

So has anything changed after saying I.

Do do you feel any differently? I mean you were
living together, so but what has changed, if anything?

I don't know. It's just like we're just so in
love with each other.

Whether there's a two rings on my finger or no
rings at all, we're just so in love with each other.
And he's just such an incredible man, Like I genuinely,
he's like the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful, selfless, like.

Everything you want in a husband, that's what Zach is.
And yeah, I don't think anything with each other.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Yeah, we're just growing every day and just so fun
waking up with your best friend.

He's so funny out with all the time, do fun things.

We have to go back. Does everybody know? I think
they know. One of the sweetest things Zach did for
you was another engagement. Yeah, does everyone know that story?
Can you just like give a quick little share it.

I mean we did post it on social media, but
I think after the show, like obviously that was very
constructed by the Bachelor and the whole setup and everything
and lights and cameras.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
That's just like not normal.

So I think Zach always had this idea of wanting
to propose to me again.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
And I think it was really.
Speaker 5 (06:29):
Sweet because it's kind of like, Okay, now you see
me for everything that I am when the cameras are off,
like you see my flaws and flaws and all the good,
the bad, all of it. So yeah, he reproposed to
me in Portugal, which was beautiful. It was incimmittently it's
just us and it was perfect and we went on
a little sunset.

Did you know he was going to do it?
Speaker 5 (06:54):
I had a feeling he was going to do it,
but not there and I guess she was like carrying
around the ring all day and he didn't know when
to do it. It was just very like at the
whim he was like okay, baby, like I love you
so much.

And then as soon as he said that, I blocked out.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I was like, oh, okay, so wait, because you know
I have a detailed person. So you had one ring
on and this is an engagement of all you know,
untold proportions, like who represents this, darling? I love you.
Let me slip off that other diamond ring and let
me slip on a new diamond ring.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Yeah it was. It was pretty funny, but too so.
Now we have two so we.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Have Are we blending them and getting a giant one
at this point or what is your plan?
Speaker 5 (07:40):
It's funny because I have put them on at the
same time and it's just too much for me. I'm
just like a simple I don't like anything too flashy
kind of girl. So I think we're gonna hold on
to the Neil Lane diamond for now.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Maybe I don't.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
If you have a daughter, it could be her.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Yeah, you know, she's Kitty's not flashy. You know, a
five bedroom home that she's killing. I mean, there's nothing
flashy about that. I love you and you know that
we've both been kind of busy and I haven't seen
you very much. But I'm saying it here publicly. When

that little munchkin or twins or triplets, whatever you may have,
I will be there to help you.

But so wait, Katie, I have a question about your
I know you want to become or at least get
a green card. Correct, Yeah, have you started that yet?

So basically, when I left Canada in August, there's a
three month kind of like probation period where I can't
do anything. So basically in December we're going to start
the process and then from there it's kind of like
the unforeseeable future of when I can leave the country
when we will get it, but I'm working with a
great immigration lawyer.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
So hopefully sooner than later. But we'll see.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
It's yeah, it's it's a lot, but that's just for
a green card. Do you plan on becoming a citizen?
Speaker 5 (09:40):
No, I'll keep my citizenship in Canada, but both, yeah,
I'll be a permanent resident here. I don't want to
take away my Canadian citizenship.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
You don't have to. You can be dual, Okay, you
have both.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
You can be dual, but I think you have to.
I don't know the in and outs.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
I don't want to. I do. My sister was my
sister's dual.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
You could be both, Okay, I didn't.

I think it's maybe like the reverse, Like if Zach
and I were to live in Canada, he would have
to revoke his US citizenship.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
In order to be a Canadian Canadian.

Yeah, there's one of them where you can't have both.
And I think it's just if he came to Canada.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Well, my sister moved. I don't know, maybe laws are changed.
My sister moved to Canada and America Canadian and kept
dual citizenship.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Okay, well, maybe I'm wrong, I'm I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Maybe I don't know, but whatever, we would love to
have you in this country as a citizen prominent resident.
Will take anywhere we can get you.

So we just had uh Mel Fantasy Suites. We just
it just aired on Golden Bachelor, and we were curious
because we are voyeurs. We want to know about your
experience as a successful couple that went through fantasy suite. So,
if if Mel is with someone right now, what advice
(10:56):
do you have for the woman he's with, you know,
tell us what your thoughts were fantas see sweets moving forward.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
I mean, for Mel, I would just say be yourself,
trust your gut. Don't put any declarations like, oh, I'm
not having sex this week anything like Zach did, because
that kind of turned the corner in the worst way.
But yeah, I think also just like taking advantage of
the time really getting to know each woman.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
For who they are.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Could you feel what were you me?
Speaker 5 (11:25):
I mean, I mean everybody's gonna deal with Fantasy Suite
Week differently.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
I think I've watched the Bachelor of the past.
Speaker 5 (11:35):
I knew full fledged what I was getting into when
I signed that contract. If I got that far, then
that was potentially something that was going to happen. And
I wasn't blind to that, and I knew that going
into it, and I just wanted to compartmentalize each relationship
as best as I possibly could.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
You mean, I'm sorry, I have to interrupt. Do you
mean Zach's other relationships? You said compartmentalize the relationships which one?
Speaker 5 (11:57):
Yeah, the other women right, yeah, with the other women
Gabby and Ariel were there for Fantasy Suite Week, And yeah,
you just I just wanted to go into that week
and just grow together and get to know him more
and vice versa.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
That's all I wanted.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
And you weren't thinking about the other women. You weren't. No,
I wasn't.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
I was trying to because I was very confident in
our relationship and I was confident in who I am
as a woman and what I can bring to the table.
And if you want that, that's amazing. If you don't,
then you don't.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
And so so Susan and I were just talking on
one of our other podcasts about what we of course,
we don't know how Mel's season as we're recording this,
we don't know how his season ends. But you know,
he's struggled a little bit to choose to declare love.
(12:53):
He hasn't really been able to. And so Susan asked me,
what could you have done that if if Mel said
to both women, look at I can't choose either one
of you because I need to get to know you better.
Could you have done that with Zach? Could you have
said it?
Speaker 3 (13:08):
I honestly respect that if and he wanted to continue
dating both of you.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Answer the show? That was the question. Okay, that's a
big difference.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Okay, yeah, you will. You need to pick. You need
to pick which one you want to further grow your relationship.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
You wouldn't okay, See, you wouldn't have been willing with
one of if it was down to two you and
let's say Ariel and you was he's going to shows
over He says, I can't commit to the one of you. Again,
we don't know what Mel did with this, just a
hypothetical situation. You wouldn't. You would have said to Zach,
no way, you choose me or you choose Ariel.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
Otherwise, Yeah, I'm not doing this for Yeah, this is
why you know your girlfriend, right, Okay, Kathy I asked
her this question.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
She said, no, I'm confident in myself he could date
both of us after the show, and because I feel
like he would choose me at the end.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
There is no way.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
Yeah.

Yeah, that's tough.

I like after the show, it's.

Kind of like you should know by that point who
you want to carry a relationship with.

what advice do you have, because clearly you you got
the guy, you didn't have to share him with anyone.
What advice do you have for the couple Melontos, assuming
he chose someone coming off the show, because you know,
getting out of that bubble is a thing.

Oh my god, is it? Ever?
Speaker 5 (14:36):
I think for us it really work for Zach and
I just because we truly just wanted to like dive
into our relationship further when we could just prance around,
go for coffee dates.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
How does he treat a server? Like what do you
like with your friends? Meeting them? So I think we
Zach and I just really just.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
Wanted to be with each other and we didn't let
like like press or event or any of that in
our life. Like Zach is pretty much offline. He doesn't
love social media, even like him trying to Like when
I say, babe, can you get in this TikTok, it's
like pulling teeth for him.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
So now you love us, we'll do that.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
Yeah, And honestly, I kind of I would take that
over a man that's like, hey, babe, get a shot
of me, you know, doing bicep curls for my followers.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Like, okay, but that's not the guy I kind of
that's not the guy I.

Want to be you with.
Speaker 5 (15:28):
So anyways, Zach went back to his normal life. I
went back to mine. I mean I was a full
time nurse. Now I'm a part time nurse, and I'm
very grateful for that because we know the emotional and
the physical.

Yes, that's a lot.

Yeah, it's a lot pactingness that that can create.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
But yeah, we just went back to our normal lives
and we you know, the events that we wanted to
go to.

go back to their you know, what would your advice
be for them?

I think just like going back to your regular lives
and like try and try and mend them together. I mean,
you can get really consumed by all of this craziness

we're talking about past seasons. Out of the entire franchise,
is there anybody that you wish that would have been
able to make it to Fantasy Suites?
Speaker 5 (16:34):
You know what, I think everything happens for a reason,
and I think, no matter what, the leads just have
to trust their gut.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
But somebody who made it further, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
A lot of times people will say, but if he chose,
like in this year's episode of Golden if he had
if he kept Debbie, or if he kept so and
so going through a fantasy suite.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
If Gary chose for me?
Speaker 4 (17:12):
Oh, I don't know how to answer that question. Now,
I don't. I don't really remember.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Well, let me ask you. That's my next question, Katie,
that's my next question. How much of a make or
break do you think fantasy suites are?
Speaker 4 (17:27):
Yeah, it depends what happens.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
I well, isn't it when you take your MIC's off,
you actually talk as a couple.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
When you really get to know somebody like it's it's hard.
So in the in those moments, Yes, at fantasy suite,
we you really have to, like you kind of like
stay up for like the whole night.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Just okay, I want to know that. So, what is
the biggest thing you learned about that you can share
the biggest thing you learned the most important thing you
learned about Zach in Fantasy Sweets you didn't know?
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Oh, I learned how clean and organized he was.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
Like he had his like shirts laid out on the bed,
he had.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
His toothbrush in a specific spot. I'm like, oh, close
to be here, Like what is it?
Speaker 2 (18:16):
I love it?
Speaker 4 (18:17):
I love it. But I was like, wow, this man
is clean, like very clean.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
He's neat and organized. That's big.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
Plus he's a little bag and I'm like I've got
shit everywhere. Sorry if I'm not allowed to say that word. Yeah,
I learned how organized.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
You When you got to do the Fantasy Suite.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
When you walked in, did you be like, finally, nobody's
going to hear us, It's just me and you.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Did you have that feeling? Oh yeah, you're nervous.
Speaker 4 (18:42):
A little bit of both.
Speaker 5 (18:43):
It was like finally like I can like really show
you that I'm like super goofy and silly because like
when cameras were on me, I kind of hurtled up
a little bit and I was like, oh my god, Katie,
don't say or do the wrong thing.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
Don't make yourself look like an idiot.
Speaker 5 (18:56):
And like in the Fantasy Suite, I was like, all
right here around me.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yeah, what is the thing that Zach learned about you?
What if I asked him, what would you say? What
do you think the thing? The biggest thing he learned
about you that he didn't know.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
I think he realized how funny I was.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
You are funny. You are funny.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
I'm pretty funny.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
But I think I don't you know what it was
like three years ago, so it was really hard to remember.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Oh, come, I remember if it is in pieces of
what happened.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
But were you Were you nervous? I mean, if you
can't remember, like I would be nervous.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
A lot of the conversation was what had just happened,
and that was the fact that he did he was
intimate with Gabby, and we were talking about you know,
he was, he was owning up, he was apologizing, he
was We were just diving into communication, our communication styles.
We also learned that about each other too, and how
we deal with com like how are we gonna find
(20:01):
a resolution? I think that was really important for us
to go through, go through story.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Because so, how were you supposed to know? How did
you know that he had slept with Gabby?
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (20:12):
Well, but actually I actually just knew because.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
When you're on the show, you you gained these friendships
with the girls more than you do the lead. I
spend more time with Ariel and Gabby, and I was
very aware of.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
What certain people needed in order to progress.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
And I was fully aware of what was most likely
going to happen.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
Nobody told me who it was. I pieced it together myself.
Nobody had to tell me.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
But she was in the fantasies. How many were in
the fantasy suite three of us? So I'm saying, who
did the other one? I mean, I'm trying to figure
out how you knew because you don't see the other women, right.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
I just knew based on how our friendships, I mean
for each other, Like even when like producers were like
go to bed, it was like Aeriel, Gabby and I
would like go into a hotel room together, and just.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Yeah, I knew.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
I knew.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
I knew, and.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Well, yes, clearly, but it was not a it was
not a him being in him it with someone else
clearly was not a make it or break it for
you in the fantasy suite.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
No, not at all. That's the thing I felt.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Really. I felt humiliated, and I also was like, oh wow, okay,
our relationship isn't isn't as strong as I thought it
was but Dak and I talked a lot during that
time that we had off cameras, and I just like
I got some more clarity.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
I got more insight into who he is as a man.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
And at the end of the day, he's an incredible man.
I could see that off the show. Within like the
first time I ever met and met him, I was like, Wow,
this man is genuine, he's sweet, he's kind, like it's
everything you want.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
So so did you know at the end of the
Fantasy Suites how confident were you that you were the one?
Because I was.
Speaker 5 (22:09):
I wasn't confident you were in what I could bring
to the table like I was just I was like,
if it's not me, I'll be okay. It's gonna hurt,
but I will be okay no matter what. And if
it is me, then he's going to be the happiest
man alive for the rest of his life.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
And he is and he is.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
So that's you know, like I said, that's why I'm
so excited to see the end with mel because he's
got these two women that seemingly he could love both
of them, love or grow to love both of them,
or grow to love neither of them. But I just wondered.
You know, listen, the day I end up in a
fantasy suite, you can expect the stock market to go
to zero, the you know, the to snow in the

middle of July, so you know, keep that in mind.
But I would say that, I would say that I
can't imagine leaving there and not feeling like you were
the one.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Yeah, feeling do they give you that they give you
any Yes, hopeful, that's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Yes, be able to share.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
So yeah, there was a moment. I think it was
our last chance to date.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
And I don't know if the camera's picked up on this,
because I think they have to be in a certain
radius in order to pick up your mic Anyways.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
They had like shot down.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
They were like already walking to the waterfall, and I
turned to Zach and I'm.
Speaker 4 (23:36):
Like, I can't do this anymore like this.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
I was like, this is crazy, Like if it's not me,
I want to go home, Like I genuinely.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Don't mean now.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Yeah, And he was like, he basically muttered to me.

Don't He said, what it will be worth it? Oh,
I'm so much.

do you feel about Taylor Frankie Paul being the Bachelorette?

I think it's going to be a crazy, crazy good season.

I'm dialed in all the girls that like I run into,

Katie, are you going to watch? I was like, oh, yeah,
I'll host some parties to cut.

Yeah, what are you expecting? Are you expecting drama? Are
you expecting? I think they're a little bit during her

So what do you think about the idea that she is?
You know, she was not plucked from obscurity, she has
a huge following, and she has children. How do you
think that's going to affect the franchise's decision to bring

I think they'll be amazing.

I don't I don't think we've had a lead before
that's had kids.

I got her last September and she's just the sweetest
little girl ever.

I'm the eternal optimist. I'm a hopeful romantic on all
