Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, everyone, welcome back to Best Your Happy Hour.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm Joe and I'm Serena and.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
We are here with Kenny and Marie.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Hi.

Speaker 4 (00:12):
Yeah, when was the last week you guys were on
the podcast forever?

Speaker 5 (00:17):
Yeah, it's been a long time. I don't think we've
done it with the two of you.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
You definitely have not.

Speaker 6 (00:22):
Yeah, I don't. I don't even remember.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
I feel like last time you were podcasting, Mari, you
were like hosting on Clickbait.

Speaker 5 (00:28):
Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah, the last time I've been
like involved with I think.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah, who was our who was our guest?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Mari?

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Do you remember.

Speaker 5 (00:37):
Christina Mandrel we had? Oh well I think I did her.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
With without me?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Yeah, who did you?

Speaker 6 (00:43):
And I do? I don't remember.

Speaker 7 (00:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I don't know either.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Oh, how time flies?

Speaker 7 (00:51):
Well, we were just we were just with you guys
at your beautiful, fun wedding in Chicago, which we are
going to talk about, but we'll get into that the
back half of the episode. Let's first, let's start in
chronological order. It's because you've now had three weddings, Yes,
I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
For if you count the Corehouse. Did you have to
go to the courthouse.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Yeah, I guess technically four, yes.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
You can't rot the courthouse. That's the only one that
legally made you married.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Let's go with.

Speaker 7 (01:23):
Bachelor in Paradise wedding first. What how did that come about?

Speaker 5 (01:29):
Wow, Janks, Well, it was in the works for a
long time, I think since the season right.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
After we basically we were going to do it the
season before that, almost oh really, but then Mari was
doing like the Miss Puerto Rico pageant like the same time,
so it never happened.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Oh I remember you guys saying that, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
The dates conflicted and it was almost happened.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
But you know how it goes with Paradise, like you
never know what each day is going to bring, and
so they had like a timeline, but then certain events
took place and they ended up saying like, oh, we
have to keep pushing back and pushing back and pushing back,
and literally a couple weeks before they were like, yeah,
it's not gonna work.

Speaker 7 (02:17):
Yeah, interesting, Okay, So then you end up doing it
on this past season of Paradise.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
So it was kind of always an idea, always, like
you know, in thoughts, and then this past summer we
were both available and it worked out.

Speaker 7 (02:35):
What was it like going because like we've been back
there once. Yeah, it does bring back a lot of
a lot of like memories.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
I got suit like so emotional being back there. I
was like, yeah, I was a mess, Like it's it
was just like very overwhelming emotionally, and I really wasn't
expecting it at all, Like I think that's probably why
I was even more emotional, Like I just like wasn't
racing myself and we went down there. I was so
casual about it, and then when we got down I

(03:04):
was like, oh my god, Like you're down there for
such like a short but like intense period of time.
It's like a little incubator. And to go back, I
was like, yeah, it was just overwhelmed with emotion. But
I don't know, how did you guys feel.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Yeah, I can relate because I remember walking back and
seeing all the different places where different things happen, and like, oh,
that's like where we had our first kiss and this
is where we had our first conversation. Yeah, so very
nostalgic and the best way all the memories came back.

Speaker 8 (03:34):
Yeah, it was it was nice being back and like
not have to like live how everybody else was living.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
We were like like.

Speaker 8 (03:42):
We would pop out and do what we're doing and
then like we can go back to like hanging out
and we didn't have to like go back to the
rooms and stuff.

Speaker 7 (03:48):
Yeah, it's like you feel like you're you gett like well,
like you're a little above it.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
You know, really I get the VIP treatment.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Yeah, we got to be like Wells while we were
there for that day.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Yeah, and they had a stay at Vidonta, which we
had never been to, so that was really nice property.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, it was huge.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Yeah, it was like amaze. We were getting lost, like
trying to find dinner places and stuff.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Yeah, that was us too when we were there. It's massive,
but so beautiful. So what was the vibe of the
wedding like, because that was like your first time putting
on a dress and walking down the aisle. So how
did it feel? And like, you know, Blake was there,
Wells was there. There was some familiar faces for y'all.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Did you have any family there as well?

Speaker 8 (04:37):
No, no family it was we could have we could
have had like our parents probably maybe brothers, sister, but
since we had Puerto Rico already planned, we kind of
just said it was just.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Going to be like for us for Paradise and just
kind of keep it simple logistically and.

Speaker 8 (04:57):
All that travel and all that stuff. Plus my mom
didn't have a pass porter at the time, so.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
It's like, yeah, we were like, if they all can't
be there, then let's just not have anybody. So yeah,
we decided to just keep the Porto ricoing for all
our family and then just have Paradise for fun and
yeah with the cast and Wells and like.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
So they don't know Blake was going to be there
because it's like luck, like it's kind of head or
miss if he's still down there or not right like
just at the timing aligned, but he wasn't.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Technically he like came for the wedding.

Speaker 8 (05:27):
He wasn't there, and I had told him before he
left for the season to make sure he was still
there when we got there for this and we get
there and they take us down, I didn't, like, we
didn't know what was going on until we literally got
to the beach at Vedanta. I didn't We didn't know
who was still there or whatnot. And as soon as

(05:49):
we got there, we find out Blake went home. Like
the night before in all this nonsense, and I was like,
then we like we got him on the phone, one
of the producers, We like got him on the phone,
and I'm like, hey, you got to come back over here.
So yeah, you know, of course Blake, He's like, oh,

(06:10):
I'm not coming back.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
He came back, of course.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Nice.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
And then to go back to what you asked Rina
about Mari putting on the dress and like just the
vibes of the day, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
How was it?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (06:24):
It was good. Okay, So in terms of like.

Speaker 5 (06:29):
The order of the day, you know, we woke up together,
we were staying at the Vedanta, and then they separated us,
which I wasn't expecting. So they separated us for like
the entire day up until it was time to go.
But I liked it because it helped to build up
the anticipation. You know. I was surprisingly I was like
super nervous. I didn't think I would be, but yeah,
I remember like being all sweaty and like, oh my gosh,

(06:50):
what if I Yeah, I was hot, but I felt
super nervous. But it was it was nice, like putting
on the dress and it felt like a very fitting
paradise dress.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
Yes, but yeah, yeah, a lot of nerves, but it
was cool.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Kenny, were you nervous at all?

Speaker 3 (07:06):
I was, Well, we wrote our own vows, so of
course I was nervous to have to do that part.
So I was cod was like super freaking out ahead
of time that I had to memorize it. And luckily
it was like we're just going to read them, so
that made it a lot easier. But still that that
kind of stuff makes me nervous.

Speaker 7 (07:25):
Joe, you know, yeah, well yeah, but like having to
memorize vows, that that's a lot like I wouldn't have
like ours.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
We memorized our speeches at the end of our Season
of Paradise.

Speaker 7 (07:35):
Yeah, but those were those are much shorter than our
actual like wedding vows were long for sure. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
We did not memorize our wedding vows. We had like
the little books with it printed out. Yes, I can't imagine.

Speaker 5 (07:46):
No, Yeah, it was a relief. I was like still
in the car, like trying to memorize it all the
way down just in case. But yeah, once they were like,
oh worry, you can read it, I was like, okay, good.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Really, thank god. How was the night portion then? Because
you guys did like.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
A eighties Neon dream after party.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah, it was fun. It was fun. Actually, Yeah, we
had a few drinks Mari Mari got a little tipsy. Actually,
there was a lot of stuff you didn't see on.

Speaker 9 (08:13):
The you know, lots of celebratory shots, and we had
like signature drinks that they made for us too, So
I was drinking Mari.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
Garitas all night.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Yeah, it was a long night, but it didn't feel
long because the drinks were definitely flowing.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Was that was? Was that the inspiration to your Chicago wedding?

Speaker 5 (08:39):
Not really so for Paradise. We kind of let them
just do what they wanted. Yeah, And I mean I
guess we kind of said, like we wanted to feel
like a very Paradise wedding, like Paradise always has you know,
that one signature party event and you know, this is
where we met, and so it's like, yeah, just make
it Paradise, do whatever you want.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
And I think that, Yeah, they did a good job
with that.

Speaker 8 (09:00):
Yeah, we we already had the Chicago idea sort of
playing in mind before that, so it was just kind
of random.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
It was similar, God it do you guys remember our
our our like prom night?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yeah, the longest end of my life.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
That was the longest night of my life.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
And then people we were like falling asleep on the stairs,
just waiting for whatever was happening.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Well, because Abigail and Noah were breaking up and they.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Were taking forever upstairs breaking up up.

Speaker 6 (09:32):
Right now, No, we just picked a wedding date.

Speaker 7 (09:37):
But no, that was I you guys, your memories are
different because I really enjoyed that night.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Joe, Yeah, Joe, does you do have fun?

Speaker 1 (09:45):
I like that? Yeah, I like that night.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Well, it was also no I did too. That was
my favorite thing we did, and me too, I remember,
I do remember it.

Speaker 8 (09:56):
Like at some point it was like five five or
six in the morning, I think at some point and
I was like, this is kind of ridiculous.

Speaker 7 (10:03):
Yeah, but also that's not new that like like that,
we had multiple five am nights.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
I feel like I feel.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Like I was so excited at the beginning because I
was like, I can't wait to get off this beach.
I can't wait to go hang out and air conditioning,
just like change of scenery. I love a costume party.
And then it was so fun in the beginning, and
then I think people were like slowly fighting slowly breaking
up and then the vibes just kind of like slowly
went down. Hell yeah, yeah, I remember like us having

(10:34):
our like King and Queen dance and like, honestly it
was like a sweet memory for us to have but
also being so aware like everyone just wants to go
to bed ride.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
We actually picked our first dance song from that prom
because when we walked in, that song was the song
that was playing. That was like the first song where
they were all like everybody go dance?

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Oh was it?

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (10:56):
And Kenny was like, oh, this is like one of
my favorite songs yea, And I was like, oh, okay,
well this is it?

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Then oh wowsh what's crazy?

Speaker 8 (11:11):
So yeah, we used that that from the eighties problem.
We used this that song for our first Puerto Rico
and Chicago we did the same.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Yeah, no, I was I'm just like putting it together now,
like that was the song.

Speaker 8 (11:23):
Yeah, and then I wore the pink suit at the
Chicago party, yeah, because that was what I wore on.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
That Oh really, Oh my gosh, so many.

Speaker 7 (11:32):
Call bags nice cutting nice. I like, yeah, it's very sentimental.
Let's let's talk about the Puerto Rico wedding and then
we'll get into Chicago wedding. So Puerto Rico wedding. How
was it looked beautiful?

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Yeah, it was in November in Puerto Rico, and it
was beautiful and intimate and much smaller, which I loved
just having mainly just our families there. And then also
for me, it was like really cool because you know,
that's where I'm from, That's where I was born, So
like having Kenny's family be able to like see that
and kind of partake and learn a little bit more

(12:13):
about like where I come from and the culture that
was really special to me.

Speaker 7 (12:18):
Was it something that you always knew you wanted to do?

Speaker 5 (12:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (12:23):
Kind of.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
I think I always kind of envisioned having it there
just because like all my extend family is there, like
the grandparents and stuff. Yeah, and always just like having
that little piece be part of you know, whoever I
ended up marrying.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
How many people it was like sixty five, right, yeah,
about sixty five mostly family.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
Yeah, and a lot of people actually ended up coming
in for it, which was really cool.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
How many people were at the Chicago one A wow?

Speaker 1 (12:52):
I thought it like.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Yeah, okay, yeah, it was big. It was like a
big party.

Speaker 6 (12:59):
It was.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
Yeah, it was huge. It was like, what is that
four times? The Puerto Rico on Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Yeah, did anything go like wrong on the day of
the wedding, because I'm assuming the wedding wedding in Puerto
Rico was probably the biggest hardest one to plan with
the most like logistics and everything going on. So was
there anything during the day that like didn't go as planned.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
I couldn't find my garter anywhere, and I was like
so sad about it because it was blue. It was
gonna be my something blue, which I ended up like
finding something else last minute. But I was so upset
because I had this garter like custom made and I
couldn't find it anywhere. It turns out it was in
like a different car that we weren't using, and I
didn't find it until after the wedding.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
So that happened.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
It rained the morning of Thankfully it didn't rain like
during but it was enough and the heat combined was
enough to like I had to completely take my hair plan.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Yeah, you can't have hair down with that humanity.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
And it's and I knew that there was always a chance,
like it's Puerto Rico, it's the end of hurricane season.
It's hot, it's humid, but like towards the end, it's
very like either really gorgeous or like rainy, And unfortunately.

Speaker 6 (14:13):
We got the rainy.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
But like most of the wedding was covered except for
the ceremony, but it wasn't the rain wasn't that bad?

Speaker 5 (14:22):
No, yeah, right, yeah, sprinkles like right before we started,
and then it stopped, thankfully.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
The rest of the night was pretty clear.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
The DJ our first dance, so he played the wrong song.

Speaker 7 (14:33):
Well really, he played the wrong first song, the.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Only song that you like, really can't.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
I think that we had like a bunch of songs set,
but I think that's the only one I would have noticed.
If they had screwed it up. Wheel is something different,
I wouldn't have noticed. First dance, you're going to notice.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
I don't even know what it was.

Speaker 8 (14:54):
And then we're like, that's the wrong one, or I
don't know what the hell I said, And then all
of a sudden he started playing a little John song instead.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
I'm like, what, which I was like, that's cool, that's funny.

Speaker 8 (15:06):
But and then we ended up having Mari do her
dance with her dad first, and then I went over
by the DJ movies and got like made sure he
had the right song and then we went back and
did that.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
Yeah. Wow, it was the only thing really, but fine.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
I mean something else that like only I would have
the only I know about, is like they were supposed
to play a different song during the bridal party walking
down and then change it for when I came, and
they played my song the entire time, and it was
It's fine. It's not a big deal, but it's just like, yeah,
it's just like the little detail that only I would
have known about.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Yeah, and this DJ was really sleeping at the wheel.

Speaker 8 (15:47):
He was good otherwise though, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (15:51):
I know Chicago winters are really cold. Would you guys
ever try to get a place in Puerto Rico?

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Oh yeah, we've already talked about it. We're not like
in the process or anything yet, but it's definitely like
on our radar, just kind of like have a place
to vacation and to to sow some roots. I I mean,
like I said, I'm from there, so I've always wanted
to buy a house there, and I think it'd be
nice to like split time maybe, you know, like in
those colder months, you.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
And the dogs pick up and head down.

Speaker 8 (16:23):
Yeah, I think I wouldn't be surprised if down the
line we end up there at some point.

Speaker 7 (16:30):
Really, I mean, I really I've never been. I really
want I've been telling you, I really want to go.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
It's easy. It's just it's really easy because it's, uh,
you know, it's basically us. So it's yeah, you know,
it's really easy. Yeah, there's it's a lot easier to
like move down there and do stuff because of all that.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
But that's crazy to hear you say that, Kenny, just
because you've lived in Chicago your whole life.

Speaker 3 (16:55):
Well, warm weather.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Winters will kick your ass out of that.

Speaker 8 (17:02):
Ye brutal again, this is not any time soon here,
just no, yeah.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
No, I know he's like, slow down.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
I didn't think Joe would leave leave Chicago.

Speaker 6 (17:13):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
I've left twice, I know. All right, let's tell it.

Speaker 7 (17:19):
Look, we're on Chicago. Let's go to the Chicago wedding.
Let's talk about so much fun we were there.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Oh my gosh, we had the best time. Truly, it
was so fine. Everyone had a great time.

Speaker 7 (17:31):
I've never been to like just like a wedding party,
but I heard I've heard of them.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Yeah, like what made you want to do that?

Speaker 7 (17:40):
And where'd you get the idea and all that.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
So I think just with.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
The sheer amount of people that were there, we always
knew like there are so many people who would want
to be there who won't be able to make it
to Puerto Rico. So we kind of from the beginning
always had it in mind that like, Okay, we'll do
a small on one for fit family, and then we'll
open it up so that like all of these people,
because Kenny knows so many people, so that all of
these other people can come too and have fun and

(18:07):
you know, celebrate with us.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
So it was always like a plan.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
But once we started getting the guests together for Puerto
Rico and kind of like whittling it down and we're like, okay, yeah,
this is mostly just our family, and then we're like, okay,
that makes it easy to kind of split up for
the other one.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Yeah, yeah, Kenny.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
Everyone I talked to was like, yeah, I'm Kenny's best
friends cousin's girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
I've noticed since I was five. I was like, what
is going on? Does Kenny know everyone that lives in Chicago?

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Joe knows how it is around here, and it's it.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Is Yeah, it is just like that in Chicago. You're
also like that.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
I feel like you're like Florence on our honeymoon and
like all these people that he knew Chicago were there.

Speaker 7 (18:49):
I was like, oh my gosh, yeah, well we you know,
we had you know, you when you have a you know,
weddings are expensive and you kind of have a limit
of how many people you could invite. And I was
like if we haven't in Chicago, like right, like it's
I have a lot of people like I know so much,
Like yeah, like and we're older too, so it's like
we've you know, I.

Speaker 8 (19:07):
Mean there was like my friend's parents, people my dad
used to work with, like people from all the bands that.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
I deal with.

Speaker 8 (19:17):
So it was like they're actually there could have been more,
but we kind of I mean there was there was
some that we probably like forgot to invite that we
wanted to uh, but and just in general it was uh,
it was it.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Was we just wanted to be the lax party. I think.

Speaker 8 (19:33):
The only thing, you know, how it was like at
your wedding, like there's so many people there, like like
I feel like we didn't get to hang out with
anybody more.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Than you know, I literally barely saw you guys, like
I didn't.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
I don't remember talking to anybody except for I don't
remember I talked to my mom and dad in the
beginning for like five minutes, and I didn't never I've
never seen them the rest of the night, Like I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
I feel like that's what everyone says about like unless
you have an intimate wedding like something, it's like, you know,
under sixty seventy people. I feel like people always say like,
oh my god, I feel like I didn't get to
talk to anyone, and which is why we were actually
very grateful to have like the weekend wedding situations. I
feel like he gave us so many chances to talk

(20:15):
to people that it was like cam if I didn't
hit them like on the wedding day, like maybe hit
them at like the welcome party kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
But it's overwhelming.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
I can't even imagine being in a room with two
hundred and fifty people and every person in that room
wants to get like at least two minutes with you guys.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
In terms of first time.

Speaker 6 (20:29):
It was a lot.

Speaker 5 (20:30):
It was like I felt like every time I took
a picture. Like I turn around and I'm like, okay,
I'm gonna go to the dance floor, and someone else
is like, oh, take a picture with me, and I'm like,
oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
It was like that all night, and I felt like
it was it was like such a reunion night, especially
with like all the Bachelor Nation people like I haven't
seen There was guys for my season that I haven't
seen in person in a couple of years now, so
it's like you want to catch up with everybody, but
like there's there's no time to like actually get in

(20:59):
a good conversation.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
But yeah, well like Ivan and Tomorrow, I was like,
I've seen you guys since Paradise. Yeah, Like I was like, wow,
it's been like two and a half years since I've
seen something.

Speaker 7 (21:10):
That's so much fun when you haven't seen someone from
the show and then like you all get.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Yeah, and we were all in the same season, so
it's like you've so much in common to talk about.
But yeah, we all went out the night before. We
all ended up like at the same bar like people.
I guess the words spread of mouth and I was
just looking around. I was like, this is crazy, Like
I have not been at an event that's not like
a Bachelor event with this many Bachelor people.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Yeah, I mean I guess our.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Wedding, but like it's different when I think it's your
it's your wedding. Like I knew, I knew who was
coming to our wedding. At your wedding, I was like,
I didn't realize all.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
These people coming. This is crazy. It's so fun.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Yeah, it was nice that so many of the Bachelor
Nation friends could come because I wasn't expecting that many
to come. You know, it's Easter weekend and it's you know,
they got to travel. But yeah, it was nice that
we did end up having so many friends come.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
Yeah, and anyone from Bachelor that you invited that couldn't
make it.

Speaker 8 (22:05):
Uh, Thomas was Thomas was, Yeah, he was coming up
until pretty last minute.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
He was going to come in for like twenty four hours.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Right, yeah he was.

Speaker 8 (22:17):
I mean I knew, I knew. Obviously they have the
baby and stuff, so it's gonna be difficult. But uh,
doctor Joe pulled out last minute. He was supposed to
come by.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
There was a couple also, Yeah, I was gonna I
haven't seen her.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
I haven't seen her since I know.

Speaker 6 (22:34):
I haven't seen her in so long. What else?

Speaker 8 (22:38):
There was a few like Jordan Chapman for my season
because we were like roommates together, but they were like,
they're all he's with Krin. I think, yeah, they're like
all over the place. Ed was supposed to come, but
he's like, he lives in Dubai. Well, he lives in Dubai.
But they were like, what he's been in Dubai for

(22:58):
like a year.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Now, makes sense, makes so much sense.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
So he couldn't So he couldn't go. There was a
couple other a couple other guys from my season, not Paradise,
but just.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
From our aut your whole cast.

Speaker 8 (23:14):
It was quite a bit of them. I mean our
cast was weird, like we were. We had like a
huge group of guys that like we we still kind
of keep in touch.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
For us.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
Your season of guys, I feel like got crazy close.
I don't know if it was like the the Clare
Tatia switch or what, but I do think you guys
are really tight still.

Speaker 8 (23:33):
Yeah, there's I mean there's a lot of us that
we still I mean it's not like we talk every day,
but like we're still here and there and stay in touch.
And but yeah, like Tyler Smith, uh was another guy
for my season that was supposed to come by. He was,
he was, he was he was an early on our season.

Speaker 9 (23:53):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (23:53):
But Kenny, Kenny invited the whole cast Claire too. Out
of them, out of out of all three of your weddings,
you both can answer.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
You could take turns.

Speaker 7 (24:09):
What are what is like the one special moment from
each wedding that.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
You'll that you it's like the standout.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Yeah, the standout so you'll always remember. I mean, you'll
always remember all of it, but like.

Speaker 6 (24:21):
You know, okay, give me a second to recall.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
All right, so let's go Paradise Wedding first.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Yeah, okay, the stand out from the Paradise wedding.

Speaker 6 (24:31):
Hmm. I don't know. I think that one.

Speaker 5 (24:35):
I think just the feeling stood out the most because
it was the first one and so that's where I
had like the most nerves and most like butterflies. So
like especially coming out when I was like walking to
head down the aisle. Yeah, that was like a hold
my breath.

Speaker 6 (24:52):
Moment for me.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
That makes sense.

Speaker 8 (24:55):
Yeah, I was gonna kind of say the same thing
because that was like the first time we did the
whole thing, and uh, I mean to me, that was
like when we got married, even though we're not using
that date, but we did go to the courthouse like
right when we got back from filming to make it right,
you know, so it was.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Kind of we were married since then and basically you
know my.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Eyes, so legally it's.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
I mean, we we did. We did.

Speaker 7 (25:24):
We did the same thing, and I would agree like
that feeling of like the first time because it's like
and I'm actually so happy we did it because I
would have been like ten x more nervous at our wedding, right.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
Like so nervous at our wedding for our vows, but
like when it came to like the build up of
the day and like the moment, it wasn't like, oh
my god, we're getting married. Yeah, and like I mean
maybe that takes me some of the excitement, but like
it really took away a lot of the pressure, which
was nice.

Speaker 9 (25:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:58):
Yeah, it was a lot more of a lox and not.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
I mean I was still like nervous on totally at
the Puerto Rico wedding, but I definitely felt like more relaxed,
like it's okay, I've been through this at least once before.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
And like you are already married, so it's like, you know,
you're not building it all up in one day.

Speaker 6 (26:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (26:22):
I also think it kind of takes off the pressure
of just like having a perfect day because like, you know, we're,
like you said, we're already married. So like the fact
that like the first dance you know, kind of was bogged.
You know, they played a different song for me coming out,
like those things kind of didn't feel like huge, big
deal of a mistake because you know, it's okay, we're
already married.

Speaker 7 (26:43):
Yeah, and then okay, so let's go to Puerto Rico wedding.

Speaker 6 (26:47):
M I don't know this, okay.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
So Puerto Rico has been was my favorite one of
the three because it was smaller, it was, you know,
the more intimate, and it was just more about family.

Speaker 6 (27:02):
I think.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
I had a first look with my dad, and I
think that was probably the most special part of the
day for me because my dad's a big baby, and
I knew he was gonna cry because he's a crier,
but like, actually, you know, seeing his reaction in the moment, Yeah,
that was super sweet.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Yeah he's great, he is.

Speaker 8 (27:25):
Yeah, Yeah, for me, he actually was with my dad too, Like,
my dad doesn't drink, like he never does anything. I've
never seen the ship that he did in the Puerto
Rico wedding, I've never seen in my life, Like, oh
really he was drinking and everything drinking Dan, I've never
seen this man dance in my whole life.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
He's out there dancing with her dad. The first pictures
of the two dads dancing, I'm like, it was it was.

Speaker 8 (27:53):
It was something I've never seen him like let loose
like that before.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
So that was. That was pretty good. I always remember that.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
I think second, or maybe tied was Kenny crying during
his vows.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
I was shocked.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
I was.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
I was like, oh my god.

Speaker 7 (28:13):
No way, Mari's your reaction to Kenny crying during his
vows was was incredible and incredible.

Speaker 6 (28:22):
I was so shocked.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
That's the only time I've ever seen him cry since
we've been together, probably the entire time we've been together.
That is the only time I've seen him cry besides
a family member's funeral. But yeah, that was the first time,
and I was like, are you kidding? Because I never ever,
like would have thought in my wildest dreams that he
would cry at wedding in a.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
Very emotional moment. Joe didn't shed a tear at our wedding.
Name we get choked up one time.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
So that was Joe's was a comedy. Was a comedy.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
It was a stand up comedy.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
Yeah, it was a little bit. It was so funnycause
goes hah, no, way.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
No, but I knew.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
I was like, she's shocked, she's crying, and she's like,
oh my god, I can't believe you're gonna cry.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
It was so funny.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Okay, last, but not least in Chicago.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
Yeah, I think my best memory from this one is
just like I took a second to just kind of
like watch everyone.

Speaker 6 (29:25):
So I had a couple of outfit.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
Changes, and I was changing in an upstairs room where
you can see down and so like during that time,
just like taking a minute to like watch what everyone
was doing, so see what's going on.

Speaker 6 (29:37):
That was really cool for me.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Yeah, oh that's nice.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Yeah for me, Well, that one was that was like
that one was super special for me because well, Joe's
been there before, to the sort.

Speaker 8 (29:48):
Of bar I worked there for. That place is like
my whole life for like, I've been there for twenty
years and you know, South side of Chicago and being
able to have all everybody in one room and have
all you guys guy there and just kind of mix
everybody together for the night and uh, you know, and
just make it fun.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
The way it was. That was it was cool. I'm
glad it all came together the way it did.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
He's choking up, he's choking No, that was that was
That was a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Which one is going to be your anniversary date? Do
you know yet?

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (30:23):
We're using Puerto Rico as the anniversary even though we've
been married since June, which is, oh my gosh, almost
a year now. We decided that since you know, our
families are so important to both of us. We're both
like very family oriented, so since that's the one that
they got to be part of first, that we're going
to use that as the anniversary.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Yeah, that's what we're going to do.

Speaker 9 (30:44):
That.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Were doing the wedding date Charles September second.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
But we say, this is the debate because we went
to the courthouse like eleven ten eleven.

Speaker 5 (30:54):
Months before, yeah before.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
So it's like almost a full year.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
So I'm like, do we do our Charleston wedding day
as our anniversary, but celebrate two years of marriage this
year and then every year after that just like, yeah,
like one year since our wedding, it's like two years
since our marriage.

Speaker 3 (31:16):
That's probably you should Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:17):
I think that we don't feel weird this year because
it'll be like, well, it's only been one year since
our wedding, but like in ten years. I don't want
to be like, well, we've actually been married for eleven
years and we're not giving ourselves the credit like I
want the credit for every year.

Speaker 7 (31:30):
Yeah, so this will be this will be our too,
even though we got married last year.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah. Yeah, it's weird two years years of being married.

Speaker 8 (31:39):
Yeah crazy, Well, under our circumstances were different than most
people for all.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Yeah, that's.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
Yeah, but it'll be yeah, two years of getting married
this year, but it'll be three years of us all
getting engaged.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
How crazy is that?

Speaker 5 (31:55):
Oh my goodness, that's super crazy, pretty crazy.

Speaker 6 (31:58):
I not believe it.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
But yeah, so we actually did the legal you know,
back in June, tied together like with the Paradise wedding.
It's actually the exact anniversary of the day we got engaged.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Oh my god, that's so nice. Wow, I just got
a little choked of hearing that.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
Yeah, And it almost didn't happen because I didn't realize
that the Chicago Courthouse is like right next to our apartment,
still has like COVID kind of hours, so like days
of the week, they only do ceremonies via zoom. And
so we went on the day June twenty sixth, not
knowing this. We show up and we're like, hey, we'd
like to, you know, we've got the paperwork, we'd like to,

(32:39):
you know, do all the.

Speaker 6 (32:40):
Do the thing.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
And they were like, oh, today's a zoom day. And
I was like, oh no, I was liked, but I
was like, I mentioned that, you know, the date was special,
and the woman was like, well, give me a second.
So she calls and I guess there was still a
judge there present, and she was like, okay, this judge
is here.

Speaker 6 (32:59):
She said she'll do it for you right now.

Speaker 8 (33:01):
So yeah, but we did it on zoom in the
hallway of the courthouse while the judge was upstairs.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
That's crazy, so weird, that's so rare, but it's fitting.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
It's fine.

Speaker 4 (33:14):
I went to the courthouse and full leather pants and
platform WAPs, so side like the courthouse.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
What happens to the courthouse the courthouse?

Speaker 6 (33:23):
Exactly?

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Actually, it's all.

Speaker 6 (33:26):
Either of our situations.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
It's like conventional, that's the thing.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
Nothing's conventional, So like, why I try to make it
at this point?

Speaker 6 (33:33):
Just have fun, all right?

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Should we play our little game?

Speaker 1 (33:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (33:37):
Before we let you guys go and to play a
quick game. It is called the Newlywed Game with Marie
and Kenny. So it's perfect for you guys. Actually, Okay,
who's a better cook?

Speaker 5 (33:49):
Me?

Speaker 7 (33:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Who gives the best gifts?

Speaker 9 (33:53):
Me?

Speaker 1 (33:54):
What you never gave me?

Speaker 6 (33:57):
I got you that? What I got you? That bolster
that you like?

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Wow, you've never given him a gift mark?

Speaker 6 (34:04):
He's lying?

Speaker 3 (34:04):
Should they give me a Jordan Jersey two years ago?

Speaker 6 (34:08):
A special?

Speaker 5 (34:09):
It was last he grew out of it, so he
doesn't wear it because now he's too big for it.

Speaker 6 (34:13):
But I've gotten him that. I got him all kinds
of stuff.

Speaker 5 (34:16):
I'm the one that like gives gifts on special occasions
and he's like, oh, let's just like go to dinner.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
I give experiences Joe.

Speaker 7 (34:25):
Nice, who's the planner? M Yeah, who's the early bird?

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Who's more competitive?

Speaker 3 (34:38):
Me? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Who's the better dancer.

Speaker 6 (34:42):
Oh yeah, not me.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Who who's more patient?

Speaker 3 (34:49):
I'm pretty patient now because of me, I'm patient with her.

Speaker 6 (34:57):
Yeah he is.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
Okay, I'll give.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
You this, my Kenny. Okay, you seem to need one,
so we'll get this.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Who picks the best restaurants?

Speaker 3 (35:09):
Uh? I usually picked the restaurants?

Speaker 6 (35:12):
Yeah he does.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
Really, that's actually crazy to be, Kenny, because you're such
a chicken, rice and ben kind of guy.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (35:18):
But when we go to we when I do the rest,
when we're going to go out to eat, like, we
go out to eat for.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Like, that's my that's my that's your cheat day, that's
my special time.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Who's more chatty?

Speaker 6 (35:34):
Chatty chatty? I?

Speaker 5 (35:37):
Okay, so generally I think neither of us really, But
he does not stop talking once you get him to talk.

Speaker 8 (35:44):
Well, if if I become comfortable and had a couple
of drinks, I'll talk.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
But yes, So, like at the Chicago wedding, I would
try and like because there were people from like that
he has not met from my side that he hasn't met,
and so I'd like try and go find him to
like introduce him, and he just would not stop talking
for like two seconds to like say hi to these people.

Speaker 6 (36:06):
Yeah, he can talk.

Speaker 7 (36:10):
Who was more nervous on the day of your wedding
and let's call that the Puerto Rico wedding.

Speaker 6 (36:16):
More nervous. I don't think you were nervous, though, were you.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
I wasn't nervous. I didn't know she was more nervous.

Speaker 7 (36:23):
Yeah, who was more emotional on your wedding day? Well
apparently it was you, Kenny. All right, guys, Well that's it.
That is it for the episode.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
That's it. It's it for the game. It's all done.

Speaker 7 (36:40):
But no, thank you guys so much for taking the time.
We really do appreciate it. We're so happy for the
both of you. We had so much fun at your
Chicago wedding and yeah, thank you.

Speaker 5 (36:51):
Oh of course anytime. We love you guys, and it's
nice to just like chat.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
I'm glad we got to do a debrief because I was,
Oh my god, I want to know all their thoughts
from all these weddings.

Speaker 2 (37:02):
I know.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (37:03):
