Speaker 1 (00:02):
You're listening to balls and Hole Jessica Bows and Brian Escar. Hi, babe, baby,
we're back. We are back. Nice to see you. Let's
see we have an awesome, awesome guest today, incredible guests.
We have Alex and Ryan, founders and owners of Bombs

(00:22):
Only golf Apparel. All right, well, let's welcome them onto
the show. Hi, Ryan, Hi Alex, Thank you so much
for having us. Of course, we're doing this a little
bit different. We're having cocktails. We have here, Balvini on
the rocks. Cheers, j what are you guys drinking? We
have UM? What is it? Donna? Julio two actually got

(00:43):
this as a birthday gift the other week and I thought,
what a better occasion than tonight to crack this baby open?
Crack it open with your friends. Well, happy birthday. I
wish we were all together. Happy birthday. We are together.
Thank you. So we mentioned bombs Only Golf Apparel on

(01:04):
our last UM episode. We did, and we love it
so much that we had them on our show. We
want to hear everything about bombs Only. We want to
know what, how did it get created, what's happening now
and in the future. Yeah, I want to hear it all.
So why don't you tell us, guys, how did bombs
only come to Fruition? For sure, I'll let Um Alex

(01:26):
kind of tell you the story and then I'll d
in my two cents after he's done about the company.
So a long time ago, when our daughters were going
to school together, back in what two thousand and pre
COVID they went to the same school. We were neighbors

(01:47):
in Sherman Oaks, so we would, you know, walk to
walk them to school together multiple times a week. Ryan's
an actor and I do transportation and the entertainment industry,
so you know, we had that in common. So we
we became friendly. Now, we didn't become best of buds,
but we had something in common. We used to hang
out and our daughters were friends. Now. Then Ryan started

(02:10):
to um tell me like, hey man, you should you know,
play golf, And I was like, well, you know, I
grew up playing golf. I just kind of fell out
of it, and I was like, well, you know, you should.
You should get some clubs and come out and golf
with us, And Um, I said, you know what, funk it? Fine?
So I went back and got myself some clubs. We
played around at um Balboa and Sino and I brought

(02:35):
some cigars. We were drinking some drinks, music, listening to
eighties music. I mean, we had a blast. It was
like a hair win out of getting out of rehab.
Looking for his next fix. I was like cooked again, man,
And like one day, you know, I of course going
to like Roger Dunn golf shop and looking at all
all the different shirts in there, I was like, I
gotta make something like That's been a dream of Ryan's

(02:56):
for the longest time, and I've I've always wanted to
have a big this, you know, but I didn't really
know what I wanted to do. And then it's something
just clicks. So then I called up Brian one day
and I was like, dude, let's start a golf apparel line,
and and he was like, get stoned, get drunk, do
whatever you have to do to come up with his name.
So I'm not gonna say Ganda was involved, but was

(03:18):
kind of involved. So the the original name I think
I had like angry goose because I saw some geese
like charging me one day or something, and I was like,
that's that's a really cool name. And then Ryan wrote
down like a list of like thirty different names, and
then he said bombs only, and then we both were
kind of like bombs only, and it just fucking clicked.

(03:40):
I mean it's like I started thinking about you know,
that's now in golf lingo, Like that's in the dictionary
of golf. Now people it reaches I mean when they
hit a bomb off the tee there like bombs only,
do like this, this ship is real. And that's what
I wanted to be. I mean, I wanted to reach
everybody just being a brand. I wanted to be a
swing mentality or a swing thought, like you step up

(04:00):
to t be confident and have fun, like think dude,
bombs only, like you don't want to think shanks only
or tops only, Like you want to fucking bomb that ball,
So I mean, why not just fucking step up to
it and bomb that ship. We always talk about the
difference between like the ego between men and women golfing,
and I can honestly say, as a female golfer that, like,
I too like to hit bombs and we talk about

(04:22):
it all the time. Yes, yeah, you know that. Obviously.
I'm six five sixty eight pounds and whenever I step
up to the tea. Everyone's always expecting me to just
destroy the ball. But that's not always the case, you know.
I sometimes I gotta go up there and I don't
gotta just like do a nice, easy, smooth swing and

(04:44):
just make connection. But it's not always like a bomb
isn't just necessarily like launching it down the fairway. It's
also this mentality, like Ryan was saying, like hit bombs
in life, hit bombs, and whatever it is you're gonna
do the bomb is like giving it. You're all having fun,
you know, being confident about it. So that's kind of
a whole mentality of the brand, and that's really how

(05:06):
everything started. Well, you guys, we can see you wearing
the shirt. You guys gave us some apparel to it
looks amazing on you guys. Tell us about the logo
and uh, and how you guys came about I honestly
like we we actually talked about the logo over the phone,
and then I drew something out that looks kind of
like a real shitty version of what this is. And

(05:27):
then um my wife's friend who's a graphic designer, um,
I kind of sent her the drawing and she sent me,
you know, a couple of different mock ups, and uh,
you know, Ryan and I looked at him and we
we decided to go with this one. It just spoke
to us, you know. It was just it had that
like kind of classy aggressive um just it just spoke

(05:49):
golf and it just spoke like it just spoke to us.
I don't know, I mean, it was just and everyone
who sees it is just like, dude, that's a sick logo, man, Like,
you know, can I can I buy a shirt or something?
It's like, yeah, it is a sick logo. I've got
like a sick ass driver. You've got. It says bombs
only and the o and the bombs is a bomb,
but it's like a bomb and like a golf ball

(06:10):
like hybrid, you know, so it's you know, it screams golf.
It's like it's almost like the logo almost has an
energy to it, you know. Oh yeah, for sure. So
tell us what can we expect in the future with
bombs only golf apparel? Like, what do you guys have
about right now? And what are you guys working on?
So right now we have our hats and production with
the nice rope style of course, we're gonna come out

(06:32):
with some different ones. We have our T shirts, we
have uh polos and production. We're gonna do a nice
like slim fit but also regular fit. We're not going
to keep it super crazy like all these other brands
right now. We're going to kind of mess with the
collar and have fun with that and um, you know,
as far as the brand goes, you know, we're trying to,
like we said, we're trying to have fun and try
to reach you know, if we can reach live tour

(06:55):
and stuff like that. But I think it's a good
idea to reach you know, long drive competitions. But we're
doing We're we're also doing socks, which are pretty pretty awesome.
I think I showed you guys a picture of those.
They're incredible. I can't wait to get a pair. A
lot of people are stoked on the socks. It's kind
of crazy. We we want people to be able to
express their love for golf off the course too. You know,

(07:16):
like if you like a certain band, you can express
your love for that band by wearing the band shirt
or dressing like a punk or dressing like eighties rock
guy or like a hair metal guy or like a
hip hop guy, you know. So it's like, how are
you going to communicate to other golfers and establish those
connections outside of the golfing world, you know, in everyday

(07:37):
street life, Like you know, we love golf. Isn't it
interesting guys that when you meet another golfer, it's like
an instant brotherhood and you just all talk about golf.
It's just like an instant acceptance. Right. I'm kind of
jealous about that because I don't run into many female golfers,
like because like we do, we wear our golf stuff
all the time, right, like on and off the course,

(07:59):
and we always the other guys in their golf stuff.
But I don't see many females in their golf stuff.
What are you guys going to do about that? Are
you guys? What are you guys gonna do about female golfers? So,
I mean, we we have, um, we definitely have love
for our female golfers. We ordered a sample which I
think you saw, Jess I did. I love it and
I'm so excited. Yeah, it's a very cool, um like

(08:23):
kind of plaid pattern shirts really really cute and um,
we're going to do our branding on that. We plan
on doing a whole bunch of We plan on doing
kids kids clothing because you know, kids are golfing now
like crazy. Every time I go to the driving range,
there's like a hundred high school kids there, which is awesome.
So talking about fathers with kids, right aside from being great,

(08:45):
great friends, we both have two two daughters a piece
surrounded by the ladies. I'm telling you there's a lot
of influence there. Um lucky lucky men. Yeah. Yeah, I
have an eight year old and three year old, and
Ryan has an eight year old and a twenty two
months two months. So yeah, it's really fun when we
get them all together. So talking about family, are you

(09:07):
guys first generation golfers or is there a lineage of
golf heritage in in in the family? Crest here dude. So, man,
my my dad brought me up on golf. My dad
is a great golfer. I kind of owe everything to him.
He put a club, you know, one of those dinky
plastic ones in my hand at like two years old,

(09:29):
and I guess I don't remember, but I guess I
was hooked at the time. And uh, I mean ship,
I've been playing, you know, competitively up through high school
and now what am I plus plus two? Now? I
guess he's my dad and my dad will still kick
my ass on the course. That's how that's how good

(09:49):
he is. But yan is amazing. Isn't that so funny?
Like it's my dad brought me into golf two and
it's you know, there's always like that competitive force. They're right,
like I've yet to beat my dad. I love, and
I'm like, that's what I'm gunning towards. Like my my
handicap is now lower than my dad, but I have
not beat him and beat up it's my goal. Brian's
beat him. It was a whole thing, like I gotta

(10:12):
beat him next. I just surpassed him in handicap. But
like I think, you know, thankfully to the father's that's
how we get here. We were listening to one of
your shows the other day and we heard you, Jess,
you shot a seventy nine. I did I did it.
I did it. Let go And ever since it's been
a little rough, I can imagine, but I did it.

(10:34):
You did it. Alex, do you have a family affair
with golf as well? Yeah? So growing up, Um, my father,
I mean he didn't put a He put a baseball
that in my hand when I was two, But a
golf club later came, and you know, I just, I

(10:55):
don't know, I just I had like just a kind
of a natural swing. Um ice lo love going to
the driving range and trying to hit bombs. And you know,
I think because being so big, my dad was just
trying to get me into different things to see how
well I could do at it, you know. But golf
was really cool, and I took lessons and and I
played up until high school really and then you know,

(11:17):
I went to college and started drinking and smoking weed
a lot, and then playing the band for like seven years,
and and then um, you know, clean cleaned everything up,
and then I repicked it back up when Ryan mentioned
it to me. So it's always been there, and it's
always it's always you know, been a part of me.
But my dad had a huge influence on that, for sure. Well,
very cool, guys. We're gonna take a quick break and

(11:39):
when we get back, we're gonna have more with bombs Only. Okay,
we're back back. We're so guys, we want to ask
what is the mentality of bombs Only? Is it flipping
golf cards? Is it doing beer bombs on the sixty?
Is this country club lifestyles? As mean insipple? What? What

(12:01):
are we talking about here, dude? It's uh, I honestly
want to say, it's a little bit of both. That's
why we have We kind of have our bogas side,
the clean just kind of b O g A. And
then we have this fun side bombs Only, where you
can rock this to the driving range or rock this
on the muni and just have fun. And uh, I
think the Boga side is more country club kind of clean,

(12:24):
clean yourself up a little bit, still drink smoke, do
whatever the funk you want on the golf course, but
you know, calm it down a little bit. But the
bombs Only just fucking just go ham out there, you know,
rage flip rage, Yeah, talking about I heard about that
flipping golf cart. Yeah, we heard about that. And you

(12:47):
were and you weren't even wearing of bombs Only shirt
that day? Were you? I wasn't. I wasn't. I gotta
say that my bombs Only shirt that I've got is
my favorite shirt. I've been in it NonStop. Mine too, Yeah,
we love it's you guys. You guys have like slammed
it out of the park on this one, right, Like,
it's simple, It's awesome, it feels good. I feel good

(13:07):
wearing it. And guess what, the owners are super cool.
The owners are super cool. There are friends I know.
So thank you guys so much again for being on here.
So I want to know you Ryan. You are at
caddy at a prestigious golf course, and do you have
any crazy stories anything you want to share with us?

(13:28):
You know, it's the craziest catty experience you've had. Oh man,
crazy catty experience, you know. I shit, I mean, I've
had so many. I can tell you guys a crazy
golf story that I've had with one of the catties.
So you guys know, I don't want to mention any names,
but DooDah okay, yeah, you guys know him. Okay. So, um,

(13:53):
one of my buddies from Maryland introduced me to this game.
And uh, you guys have heard inside the leather is good, right,
So how about inside a tall Boy is good? And
you guys are probably like, what the funk? What does
this mean? All right? So check this out. So there's
this game where you crush a tall boy and you
tape it to another tall boy, and you crush that

(14:15):
tall boy and crush it too, and tape it to
another tall boy, and you just keep going. And anything
within that and within those tall boys is considered good
on a punt. So it's a gimme. It's a gimme,
which is ridiculous because, uh, my partner at the time,
we can call it a bomb's only outing. Um, I

(14:37):
think we had what I should I forget. We have
three groups, and uh, he crushed. He had to crush
eight or nine tall boys before seventh hold. And I
remember I remember getting out from the cart, hitting my
ball and looking over and he's just spewing chunks and
hops back in the cart, wobbles in basically black out

(14:58):
and he just falls asleep. The rest of the roun.
I just remember killing it because at this point, I mean,
anything within I don't know how long is that nine
tall boys. That's that's a lot of I mean, that's
that's a lot. So if I'm if I'm throwing darts
in there, I mean, he's a huge help. So I
get it. So I remember, I don't know how he's
functioning through the night and still getting drinks afterwards. But

(15:19):
in the morning, I get a call and he's like, dude,
I don't really remember ship. Man, I'm sorry, And I'm like,
don't be sorry. You were way more of a help
than you think. So like, dude, I mean, you know,
not going on through what. Yeah, he passed out on
whole seven. I'm like, funck, dude, but he was a
huge help. But those nine cans really mean, dude, I

(15:43):
don't know how many gimmes I had, but it was
like ridiculous. I guess there's a strategy there though, because
you could have like a foursome, right, and you could
have just the guy who can pound as many as
many telboys as he could, and like, you guys are
still like hitting straight and doing what you need to
do right, And I don't care who gives me past
You're good, You're getting give me exactly. I'm like, dude, teamwork, twork. Yeah.

(16:08):
So that that was a pretty fucking crazy time, um,
and probably one of the wildest things I've seen on
a course besides I mean people face planning and bunkers
um from too much alcohol and yeah, just seeing some
wild ship. But that was that was definitely one of them.
I mean, what's it like for you, carrying a bag

(16:28):
for eighteen right, like having to be on having to
like coach people through the course, Like, tell tell me
what that's like, because I'm gonna preface this with like
I can't walk a course. Yeah, yeah, no, I I
totally hear you. Honestly, it is something that I enjoy.
I'm not gonna lie and say it's not exhausting, but
you know, I carry two bags every time I go out,

(16:49):
So it's it's it's weird going from you know, trying
to adjust from one player's game to the others, vibing
out with both of them the whole round. Um. Like today,
for instance, I went thirty six two bags each and
it was like funk, man, you know, it's hot out
here in Kelly, Like it's it's you know, so you're
out there, you typically have two guys and you're carrying

(17:11):
two bags, and you're having to coach each one of
them and like meld into each one's personality, tell them
you know what it is they need to do next,
and like really find your groove with them right exactly exactly.
But you know, I mean I love that ship. You know,
It's like being able to coach these guys and you know,
tell them what to do, what this put's doing. It's

(17:31):
like they don't they they don't really know. They don't
have a clue what's what's going on. So it's like
me being able to get in there and help them
with their confidence and boost them up and you know,
after a good shot, like let's fucking go, dude, like
let's let's shoot your best score today. Like let's let
me I a question, can it? Can there be a
good female caddy who can carry bags and also coach? Yeah?

(17:52):
Do you see that often? I mean, yes, there can be.
I don't see it often. I've seen it before, and
it's fucking awesome. I mean it's great. I'm all for it.
But you don't really see that much, you know what
I mean. I mean I always dig it when we're
watching you know, big tournaments and there's a girl in
the bag, right, Like I love that. Tough as shit,

(18:12):
you know, and you've got it. Does you know you've
got a girl out there who's not only like hiking
a bag around, but like has course knowledge and like,
obviously this dude trust this girl enough to be like
I'm going to rely on you to tell me what
I need to do, when I needed to do it,
and how it's going to go down. I think it's amazing.
I think there should be a bigger I think there
should be a bigger need for female caddies. But I

(18:34):
think you gotta be tough as ship, right, Like you've
got to really know what's going on. There's some companies
out there with like girl caddies that will you know,
flaunt their their goodies around and stuff like this, but
they'll ride a cart and stuff like that. But like,
like you said, I agree with dude. If a chicken
carry a bag and fucking tell the dude like, Yo,

(18:55):
this is what's up. That's fucking sexy. That's more sexier
than that's more that's more sexier than a chicken. And like, oh,
I'll get you alcohol, I'll do this and that, like
I'll ride your card around, Like no dude carry that bag,
can tell me what's up and tell me what to do, yeah,
which you know that then offers a whole other side

(19:16):
of you know, men living women to tell him what
to do exactly. Yeah, you love it when I tell
you what to do, right, babe. I'm gonna ask Alex
a question, then ignore that Alex have any cool golf stories. Yeah,
I mean every time every time I play golf, that's
like there's another cool story to tell and there and
there's another adventure under the belt, you know, not necessarily

(19:40):
a story of on the course, um, because most of
the time I get too fucked up to remember. But
there is a guy. There is a guy who I
work with, and I'm gonna fucking name names here because
that's what I'm all about. His name is Frankie J.
We work We were working together on this last TV
show I was doing, and he is the most pessimistic

(20:04):
little man you've ever met in your entire life about golf,
strictly about golf. He he he. He claims he used to
golf back in the day, and I know he was
a duffer um and that's what made him put the
clubs back in the garage. So every time we would
work together, it would be you know, everybody knows I

(20:24):
love golf, so they'd be you know, hey, did you
play over the weekend? Did you play as rae blah
blah blah, And it's like, yeah, I playing. Then there's
Frank like, oh, yeah, you played that stupid sport. He goes,
you know, every single golf course they should turn into
a homeless shelter or something. And you know, it's a
big elitist game and everybody's like racist and blah blah
blah blah. I'm like, dude, the best golfer in the
world is African American. Like what the funk are you

(20:47):
talking about? Dude? Like are you are you out of
your fucking mind. So now we would go back and forth,
but he just he was that he's that like driving
force that makes me love the game even more. And
also he's the guy that we need to bring back
to golf because deep down inside, yeah, yeah, deep deep
down inside, yeah, deep down inside, Jess, Yeah, I swear

(21:11):
to God, so I would. I would funk with him
and I and I and I would say, hey, Frank,
I will pay you to be my caddy. And he's like, well,
you gotta pay me what I make. And I go, okay,
I'll pay you five dollars a day, be my caddy
for a day, will have a blast, and I will
make you love golf again. I'll never love golf. I'll
never love golf. They should turn every course into a

(21:33):
homeless encampment. It's like, dude, we gotta get Frankie J
out on the course. Frankie J seems like he needs
like a good old day with balls and holes and
bombs only to show him what it's really like again
and make him fall back in love because he just
sounds bitter. The problem, the whole Yeah, the whole problem
is he just needs to get out there and play
with his shaft and head. You know, it's like, that's

(21:54):
that's that's the real issue. Isn't that the answer to
Like most problems, you have an idea for Frankie Day.
What we put him in the middle of the driving ranger.
We try to hit him. Oh my god, he will
be our moving target with his hands in the end.
But we'll put him in bombs only apparel. Yeah, he'll

(22:16):
be in bombs, will be hit involved. You know. I
love um. I love you mentioned earlier like walking into
Roger Done and walking into other golf stores and seeing
what they have, and Brian and I have talked about
this at length before, and you know, as a female,
especially like walking into Roger Done. Unless I'm trying to

(22:36):
be like some seventy five year old golfer in Arizona female,
Like there isn't anything there for me, right, And like
when we ran into you guys and met you guys
and saw what it is you guys were putting together,
it was so refreshing. It was like to know that,
like when you guys reached out the other day and
like we're getting a prototype just for me, Like that
made my fucking day. I cannot wait to go out

(22:58):
and rock this right, Like IM gonna feel confident on
the course, I'm gonna feel confident off the course. Like
I just don't find stuff that I like. I just
what I am envisioning right now, short skirt bombs only
pulled out and the socks bring all the way up,
Like socks are hilarious schoolgirl socks, but like not only

(23:19):
not only for the girls, a school teacher. Right. Well,
here's what's so funny is like Scottie, one of my
best friends, Like we make fun of him all the
time because he comes out and like his like he
always has dope golf apparel on, and he always has
his socks pulled all the way up, and like we
wear the like little halfies and stuff. So we give
him ship all the time and just the other day
when we saw the new socks that you're bringing out,
I was like, oh my god, we gotta get Scottie these.

(23:41):
We gotta rock all of them. And like, I'm going
to start wearing my socks up high because they've got
bombs on them and people will know that I fucking
hit bombs only. That's all you hit. Come on, let's
speaking of the girls line where it's gonna be called
the bombshell line, and we're doing also, we're doing crop top,

(24:03):
long long sleeve hoodies for the ladies of it, and
that's perfect. We're gonna go kind of like a nice
gray with our bombs only logo across the front of it,
across the breast, across the bies. The beautiful. So I
don't know if you know this, but we're on the

(24:24):
same podcast network as Page spear Neck. Maybe we've got
to get that to Page. Yeah, get her big movies
in it. I know they're just like, Oh, I got
she's gonna she's gonna look great, don't worry, she's gonna
look great. She's gonna be confident, she's gonna hit bombs.

(24:45):
She's gonna hit bombs only. She already does. Listen, you know,
the game is not just about drivers. Our last episode
was about the driver driving the driving range champion. Yeah,
so you know, what about the chips, what about the fitness?
You know? Uh Putner said, how does bombs only you
know coming to play there? I need to be graceful? Yeah,

(25:08):
for sure. I mean our main thing is we know
that obviously what did they say there? You know yard
long drive is just as important as that five foot put,
you know what I mean. So it's like we get that,
but our main thing is just that confidence over the
ball and the tea. Yeah, it's like it's like I
was saying before, it's bombs only is not only just
hitting a bomb with your driver. It's a mentality you

(25:31):
bring to the golf course. And it's the mentality after
you have that amazing shot, which happens for me one
out of ten times. But after you have that that
amazing shot, you sort of get high, You sort of
get like this like rush and like all your friends
are like, oh my god, you know, and it's like
that it's the only thing that keeps bringing us back, right,
Like that's the feeling, that's the feeling that everyone's chasing,

(25:54):
and that's what this brand is we're all about having fun.
We're all about chasing that feeling and being confident in
your game, and every shot is just as important as
them as they drive. Absolutely. You mentioned something when we
were out for your birthday last week and you were
talking about, you know, where golf is going, and it
kind of led into a new thing that you guys
also have going at bombs only tell me a little

(26:15):
bit about that. So, um, well, one of our sayings,
because we like to come up with sayings, like one
of our sayings is don't hit balls, hit bombs. But
one of our other things is we know where golf
is headed, Let's go there together. So it's like, you know,
golf is changing, golf is becoming cool, Golf is you know,
golfers do yoga now, Like I mean, it's like it's

(26:38):
not you know, it's not like it's not like how
it was in the in the past. It's it's like
trending and it's um it's something that I think everyone
should like try, you know. And so that golf is
golf is the great equalizer, right, like it brings people together,
Like I have relationships in my life that like exists
now because of golf right, Like I have relationships that

(27:00):
I didn't have before that Like, that is what we
have and there's some of my strongest relationships. It is
an equalizer. It brings people together. And you know, COVID
I think did a huge you know who for golf right,
Like it really got people out there and got people
interested in like how can I be outside? How can
I be active? How can I challenge myself? And it's

(27:22):
like golf is headed in a different direction, and why
not go there together? Absolutely? And you know I was
reading that book that you told me to buy, Um
Brian Um the Ben the Ben Hogan book right the
Bible on Modern five Fundamentals of Golf. Yeah, and I
wish I could get through about my kids keep bothering me.
But you got to read it to him at night, Yetta.

(27:44):
You gotta make some little golfers, you guys. Come on,
look at the picture. See you gotta dig your pinky
into that little space between your other you know. But
it's uh, it's such an inspiring book. And and one
thing I love about golf and where golf is headed
is it really forces people to use their minds and
to constantly better themselves. So they're constantly bettering their golf swing.

(28:08):
They're bettering themselves, they're eating healthier, they're they're work they're
working out because they want to have a better swing.
They want to play better golf, you know. So that's
that's the whole cool thing is like we know where
golf is headed. Live Live Tour, I mean, this whole
thing is like blowing up. Um. We're super supportive of that,
and uh, you know, we just we just want to

(28:28):
be a part of the new, the new golf era.
I love it. I can see bombs only on the
side of the Live Tour plane. Yes please, I want
to get on the live to our plane because the
viewers and the listeners can't can't see who you guys are.
Who's gonna win in the Skins game between you guys
Alexa Ryan Skins game. You'll have to enlighten me on

(28:51):
a Skins game. Oh my god, I know who's gonna
win on this right now? Ryan said, right, well, why
don't we get a perspective like who who is someone
a scratch player? M yeah, I think I'm like Ryan,
hold on, shut up, Brian, Ryan is Ryan is a

(29:11):
fucking amazing golfer and every time he swings, I completely
stop what I what I'm doing, like I've seen an
alien land, and I'm just like analyzing every piece of
his shot because I want that, you know what I'm saying,
Like I'm happy if I break a hundred. But it's
like though it's for me, it's those little feelings like
when I hit a good shot, that's what keeps me
coming back. But for Ryan, I mean, he's been, he's been,

(29:34):
This has been such a big part of his life
and and he's just he's just a natural golfer. I
don't know what it is, but yeah, every time I
see him play, I'm just like, fuck, isn't that to watch? Right?
Like I love I tuned. I tuned out when he
said natural golfer. I've been practicing for twenty five years

(29:54):
and this guy's a natural. I think we got to
get you and Ryan out together. I mean it would
be so dirty, Alex, You and I they can go together,
right like they can they can take it, they can
take it super seriously. And you and I can like,
you know, go have some fun. You and I can
build that tall Boy tower, Tallboy Tower. Yeah, and they'll

(30:18):
play golf exactly We'll even let you have do to
to make that happen perfect. We'll get to to caddy
for you guys, and uh and it'll be it'll be perfect.
This has been awesome. Are you guys done with your
drinks yet? We're honestly, we're almost done with the bottle.
Here's a cheer, here's two bombs Only balls and fucking

(30:44):

we're back. That was super fun. Um, we had some
cocktails with the bombs only guys. I'm kind of drunk.

(31:53):
It was really cool. It was really cool. I got
a mulligan. It's a mulligan again. Uh slash gear update.
I did something crazy this week. I took out all
my woods. I don't use hybrid, so I have no
more woods, and I'm all only playing irons, so irons
and driver irons, driver putter. That's it. And I don't
know why I'm asking you this, because you haven't shut

(32:15):
up about it all weeks. Well, so what I did
is I got a one iron. It is a one
driving iron from Tylis, the Tylis you five zero five.
I got the hazard smoke uh six point oh stiff
shaft and it is obviously a driving iron, but it's
a one iron, and I got it simply to tell
people I'm using a one iron, so just so like

(32:38):
when you go to the T you can be like,
I'm using one arn. Yeah, and no one has even
seen a one ron and it's so hard to hit.
It's sixteen degrees of laws. You hit it pretty good.
I was watching right, and so it's what what they
don't know. It's kind of like a hybrid. It's not
just like the traditional one iron looks like a butter knife.
It's a little thicker. But I have a one iron
and then I have my three driving iron and no

(32:58):
more woods. You know what happened When I saw you
hit that one iron? I thought you were a really,
really really good golfer. Oh my god, thank you. You're welcome,
so welcome, really good golfer. What's my mulligan? Let's see
my mulligan, Uh is that I have not made any

(33:19):
changes to my bag because I am tried and true
to the clubs that I love and then get me through.
But I do want to give a special shout out,
special wow, a special shout out to my Mes putter
and to all my Mes fans out there. I have
been puttying like a fucking rock star, right. I had

(33:41):
a put the other day that was like thirty ft
off the green and uh, it went straight in and
all the boys were like, oh my god, that's awesome.
It was incredible. I love my meds. Uh. I wouldn't
trade it out for the world. You change your bag
so much. I don't change my bag as much. Every
once in a while I put in a new club.
But my mas is tried and true and I count

(34:02):
on it and I love it, and it's like an
extension of me. By the way, for those who are listening,
