Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, friends, and welcome to bedtime Stories with mister Jim. Oh.
I was just getting ready for bed, are you as well?
Oh good, I hope you brushed your teeth and found
all of your comfy things like pillows and blankets and stuffies.
(00:27):
Oh yes, oh good. Well, as long as you have
all those things ready, then it's time for our story.
But first we must close our eyes so that we
can travel to an imaginary world. Juliana loved horses. She
(00:57):
would read stories about horses, draw pictures of horses, and
play with her horse stuffed animals all day long. Juliana
had dreams of being a rodeo star, performing tricks on
the back of her trustee steed to the thunderous applause
(01:20):
of the crowd. The only problem was Juliana did not
own a horse. Juliana, or Jewels as her friends called her,
asked for a horse every chance she got. The first
item on every Christmas list was a horse. The answer
(01:43):
to every question about what she wanted for her birthday
since the age of three was a horse. Her parents
would always just shake their heads in sigh, but where
would we keep a horse? And Jewels would shrug and
suggest the same as always in my bedroom, of course,
(02:07):
but Jewles had to settle for a horse stuffed animal instead. Prancy,
Fancy Horse, or Prancy for short, was a beautiful black
horse stuffy. Jewels and Prancy went everywhere together. Prancy slept
in Jewel's room, and Jewles took Prancy on walks past
(02:29):
the dog park. She was afraid to bring Prancy inside
and have her mistaken for a chew toy. Jewles loved Prancy,
but it still wasn't the same as a real horse.
One night, while Jewles was tucking into her cozy, comfy bed,
(02:50):
she made a wish, I wish Prancy Fancy Horse was
a real horse. Then Jewles squeada Prancy tightly and fell asleep.
She woke in the middle of the night, feeling squished.
She wiggled and tried to spread out, but her blankets
(03:13):
were stuck. Jewels pulled, but the blankets stayed put. Then
she opened her eyes. A large black horse was lying
on her bed, sleeping. Prancy, whispered Jewels. The horse turned
its face towards her. The long muzzle of a real
(03:35):
horse greeted her, and Jewels jumped up. The horse was
wearing the same rainbow tuto she had dressed Prancy in Prancy,
you're real. Jewels couldn't believe it. Her bedtime wish had
come true. Jewels climbed on Prancy's back and she stood up.
(04:00):
Her room was a bit small for a full grown horse,
so there wasn't much space to ride around. Prancy walked
toward the closet door. Prancy laughed, Jewels, that just goes
to the closet. We have to go out the other door,
(04:22):
but Prancy didn't listen. She pulled the handle down with
her hoof and opened the closet door. Swirls of rainbow
color danced on the other side. Then Prancy stepped through.
Jewels marveled as Prancy trotted through a rainbow. Prancy stopped
(04:43):
outside of another door. This one did not look like
Jewel's bedroom door at all. It was rustic and made
of wooden planks, like a barn door. Prancy pushed the
handle down with her hoof and walked them in side.
Bright lights blinded Jewels as they stepped through to the
(05:05):
other side of the door. Prancy brought them out into
the middle of an arena. As Jewle's eyes adjusted to
the light, a crowd was cheering at their arrival. Seated
all around them in the stands, Jewles took to the
dirt arena and the barrels set around the course. This
(05:29):
was it. Jewles was going to be the rodeo star
she had always dreamed of being. The announcer's voice boomed
through the arena. Next up, we have Juliana with her
best friend, Prancy, fancy horse. The crowd roared once more.
(05:52):
All right, Prancy, let's go, Jewles whispered in the horse's ear.
Rancy took off, racing between barrels and jumping over obstacles.
The crowd ooed and odd as Prancy performed perfect leaps.
When they were done, Jewels stood atop Prancy, giving a
(06:16):
little bow. The crowd exploded into cheers and flowers rained
down from above. It was time to announce the winners.
And in second place our Bailey and Strawberry, and finally
the first place trophy goes to Julianna and Brancie. Jewels
(06:41):
held the first place trophy with pride. When the celebrations
had ended, Prancy carried a sleepy Jewels back toward the
barn door, The rainbow on the other side swirled lazily,
as if it were tired to It had just made
(07:02):
it through Jewel's closet door into her bed when she
fell sound asleep. The next morning, Jewls woke up with
plenty of room in her bed. She felt around for
her large horse, but landed on something small and fleffy instead.
(07:23):
Opening her eyes, Jewels saw Prancy back in her stuffed
animal form. Jewels gave her a big hug, then swung
her feet over the side of the bed. She went
to step down, her feet knocked something over. She looked
and saw her first place trophy from the rodeo lying
(07:47):
on its side the end. Wow, my friends, it's pretty
imagical when our wishes come true. May your wishes come
true your dreams tonight. Good night,
