House passing a funding measure to reopen the federal government.
And Arizona congresswoman is finally sworn in a hearing today
for US attorney prosecuting New York's black Attorney General and

The House passed a sweeping spending package to reopen the government,
the longest shutdown in US history that churned economic turmoil
around the country. It also sparked an internal battle among
Democrats over the future of the party and how best
to take on President Trump. Before the vote, Republicans and
Democrats blamed each other for the prolonged standoff. House Speaker

Admitted that they were using the American people as leverage
in this political game. They knew that it would cause pain,
and they did it anyway. The whole exercise was pointless,
It was wrong, cruel.

Black House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffreys says the bill doesn't
help Americans struggling with high costs.

The longest shutdown in American history. Would rather do that
then provide healthcare that's affordable to working class Americans, Middle
class Americans and hardworking American taxpayers.

The vote in the lower Chamber was two twenty two
to two oh nine, almost strictly along party lines, only
two Republicans opposing the measure to protect deficit spending, while
six Democrats hop the aisle to support it, citing the
importance of getting federal funding flowing. Again, the bill does

and Comy are challenging the legality of the appointment of
Lindsay Halligan as US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Halligan was Trump's personal lawyer before he chose her to
serve in the role after the previous US attorney resigned,
reportedly due to pressure from Trump to prosecute James for
mortgage fraud. Coby is being charged for lying to Congress
in twenty twenty in connection to the Trump Russia investigation.
