The House has passed a funding measure to end the
government shutdown. Before the vote, Republicans and Democrats blamed each
other for the prolonged standoff. Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson.

Admitted that they were using the American people as leverage
in this political game. It was wrong and it was cruel.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
The shutdown is now the longest in US history. Black
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser wants ICE off a federal task
force after a viral video shows a man screaming during
his arrest in Southeast DC. I says the Venezuelan man
was detained on a deportation order. Bowser says it's up
to the Feds to remove ICE from the task force.
And the Dallas Cowboys have launched a memorial fund for
Marshaun Neeland's pregnant girlfriend after the defense of ends apparent

The House passed a sweeping spending package to reopen the government,
the longest shutdown in US history that churned economic turmoil
around the country. It also sparked an internal battle among
Democrats over the future of the party at how best
to take on President Trump. Before the vote, Republicans and
Democrats blamed each other for the prolonged standoff. House Speaker

Admitted that they were using the American people as leverage
in this political game. They knew that it would cause pain,
and they did it anyway. The whole exercise was pointless,
it was wrong, and it was cruel.

Black House Minority Leader Hackeing Jeffreys says the bill doesn't
help Americans struggling with high costs.

The longest shutdown in American history. Would rather do that
then provide healthcare that's affordable to working class Americans, middle
class Americans, and hard working American tax payers.

The vote in the Lower Chamber was two twenty two
to two O nine, almost strictly along party lines, only
two Republicans opposing the measure to protect deficit spending, while
six Democrats hop the aisle to support it, citing the
importance of getting federal funding flowing again. The bill does
not extend federal health care subsidies. Civil rights leader Reverend

Jesse Jackson has been hospitalized. According to a statement by
the Rainbow Push Coalition, Jackson was admitted for observation as
he continues to manage progressive supernuclear Palsy, a neurodegenerative disorder
he has lived with for the past decade. Originally diagnosed
with Parkinson's disease, Jackson's condition was confirmed as PSP back
in April. According to the group, black TikToker is ordered

by a North Carolina jury to fork over one and
three quarters of a million dollars to the former wife
of her manager. Why Well Renee Canard is basically accused
of being a home wrecker. Canard has nearly three million
followers and was sued by a Kure Montague under North
Carolina's alienation of affection law. The complaint accuses Canard of

getting close to her and then using information from their
friendship to pursue her husband, Tim Montague. Alienation of affection
laws allow a spouse to file a lawsuit against a
third party if they believe that individual caused the other
spouse to end their marriage. Canard was married to her
