Outgoing New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who is black,
just designated the Elizabeth Street Garden in Nolita as city parkland,
blocking plans for senior affordable housing there.

It is no surprise that Mayor Adams is using his
final weeks and months to cement a legacy of dysfunction
and inconsistency.

Incoming Mayor's around. Mom Donnie criticized the move and it's
unclear if he'll state approval to move forward. The Reverend
Jesse Jackson seniors in the hospital. His Rainbow Push coalition
says the eighty four year old civil rights icon was
admitt Wednesday and it's being monitored for progressive super nuclear polsy,
a neurodegenitive condition he's managed for over a decade. He
was originally diagnosed with Parkinson's, but doctors confirmed PSP last April,

behind bars after his release date was pushed from May eight,

days and furloughed federal workers are set to receive checks,
President Trump, while signing the temporary spending build into law,
issued a reminder for Americans this.

Meanwhile, Black families in particular, who use Obamacare for their
health care insurance are bracing for the economic impact as
subsidies expire by the end of the year. Meanwhile, an Atlanta,
Georgian nightclub owner must pay millions after a deadly Mother's
Day shooting claim the life of a local black Columbus
State University student. Twenty one year old Mary Crayton, was
celebrating a birthday with friends back in May of twenty

twenty four at the eleven forty five Lounge when gunfire
rang out, killing her and another while injuring others. Now,
the nightclub's own has been ordered by a Fulton County
Court judge to pay over sixty six million dollars to
Mary's family. Her mother, who attended the hearing, speaks to

Ruling today to be resolved, brought actually tears to my eyes.
I just hate that it was an expense of, you know,
my daughter's life, but it did bring another form of justice,
you know, to say that her life did it matter.

The suspect, Cerrougie Reeves, was charged with murder and other counts.
The city declared the club a public nuisance and shut
it down for good, citing a slew of other violent incidents.
