DOJ is suing to stop California for moving forward with
its newly drawn congressional map, a new military operation zeroing
in on narco terrorism in the Caribbean and Latin America.
A closer look at Seattle, Washington's Democratic Socialist mayor elect.

The US Department of Justice is suing to block California
from enacting its newly drawn congressional district map. The complaint
was filed in California Federal Court yesterday, targeting the map,
drawn to benefit Democrats and approved by voters in the
majority Democratic state. Black House Minority Leader Hockey Jeffreys blasting
President Trump and the GOP last month over their plans

Donald Trump and Republicans have decided that they were going
to try to jerrymander congressional maps all across the country
as part of the effort to rig the midterm elections.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
The Trump administration is asking the court to ban the
use of the map because it accuses California of racial
gerrymandering and violation of the Constitution by using race as
a factor to favor Hispanic voters. Governor Gavin Newsom says
Trump sees the writing on the wall for the twenty
twenty six midterms.

Why else what he call Greg Abbott, saying he's entitled
to five seats? Why else is he trying to rig
the midterm elections before one single vote?

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Newsom says the mid decade redistricting was in response to
Texas approving new district lines to benefit Republicans. The California
Republican Party has filed a similar suit. Defense Secretary Pete
Hegseth has announced a new military operation targeting narco terrorists.
In a post on X yesterday, heg Seth said the
US Southern Command will lead Operation Southern Spear. Southern Command

oversees military operations in the Caribbean and Latin America. In
the post, heg Seth said, the Western Hemisphere is America's
neighborhood and we will protect it. This comes as the
Trump administration continues to target alleg to drug votes in
the region. Self described democratic socialist Katie Wilson has won
the race for mayor of Seattle. Following her acceptance speech,

she said, it's been a tough race.

It has been I think it's fair to say a
bruising nine months. But now the fight is over and
it's time to come together.

Wilson won the election by nearly two thousand votes. Incumbent
Black Mayor Bruce Harrold called to congratulate her. Wilson says
she's stepping into office with a strong mandate to tackle
the affordability crisis, meaningfully address homelessness, and build a city
for working people. It's back on display in Washington, d C.

Epstein holding hands. That is back in September, the anonymous
group The Secret Handshake unveiled a twelve foot structure of
the Trump Epstein duo in a prancing position with a
cheeky reference to Friendship Month. The group said the National
Park Service dismantled and removed the statue without warning just
before it was scheduled to come down. That the Park
of the Interior said it was not in compliance with
