Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome into episode one hundred and twenty five of Bring
Heaven Down. If you didn't hear the podcast yesterday, episode
one hundred and twenty four, I would encourage you to
go back and listen to that to find out where
I've been for the last two weeks. And I want
to continue discussing the topic of children and the blessing

(00:29):
that they are and the blessing that we are, and
the miracle of birth, because when you have a baby,
the presence of God's miracle is displayed. The fact that
my wife could carry a baby four nine plus months

(00:57):
and the fact that my wife and I could reproduce
a baby is a miracle in and of itself, and
it displays the wonders of God. If you've been in
the room with your wife and you see the miracle

(01:18):
of birth, God is glorified. As soon as all three
of our babies have been born, I have been overwhelmed
with emotion, and I have thanked Jesus over and over
and over again because of the miracle that He displayed

(01:44):
within my own family, and it truly is amazing. Some
one hundred and thirty nine, verses thirteen and fourteen says
this for You created my inmost being. You knit me
together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I

(02:05):
am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. I
know that full well. And I can't help but think
about my past and what I was doing, what I
was striving for, my goals to get married at a
certain age, my goals to accomplish career things, or whatever

(02:28):
the case may be. And as I was chasing dreams
and chasing goals and accomplishments and honestly chasing a paycheck,
the Lord knew that I would be a dad of
three kids. The Lord knew before the creation of the
world that I would be alive, i'd be married to

(02:53):
my wife, and I would have three kids. And why
that's so amazing is because use ten years ago, when
I was twenty four years old and I was living
in Washington, d C. This was not even on my radar.
It wasn't even a thought in my mind. But here

(03:16):
I am with a wonderful wife and three beautiful children.
And I don't want to make it sound like it's
all sunshine and rainbows, because just this morning our kids
were really fussy and cranky and emotional and it was
tough to try to keep everything together while they're screaming

(03:41):
during breakfast at five forty five in the morning. But
when things get challenging and tough and you don't know
why they're screaming their heads off, I point myself back
to the faithfulness of the Lord. And what is so
incredibly true about God and me being a husband and

(04:06):
a dad is that I feel like there is no
one in the world that could love our children more
than my wife and me. But what is true is
that God himself loves my own children more than I do,

(04:34):
because He knew them before the creation of the world.
And when you really think about and meditate on the truth,
it really is amazing, and it really puts into perspective
just how much God loves us and how He preordained

(04:58):
this life for us and for you. Thank you for
joining the show today. I hope the Holy Spirit revealed
more and more about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
and I pray that this podcast is encouraging to you.
