(00:25):
Yesterday it was a Tuesday testimony day, and I hope
that was an encouraging for you, and it was definitely
encouraging for me. If you want to share your testimony,
or if you have a question, if you want a
topic addressed, I want this show to be yours as
much as it is mine. If you have a question
(00:45):
about God, about the Bible, about a concept, about a
topic that you want me to address that you've been
dealing with. Maybe it's a problem, maybe it's a friend,
or maybe it's how to talk to a non Christian,
whatever it is, email the show and down number seven
at gmail dot com. There are no stupid questions when
(01:05):
it comes to God. When it comes to Bible and faith,
we want to address it we want to talk about him.
Bring Heaven Down number seven at gmail dot com. I
want to encourage you this morning with some words that
I heard from church on Sunday that I want to
expand on that I want to talk about. So grab
(01:26):
your favorite drink or a cup of coffee, and let's
bring Heaven a little closer together, all right. So our pastor,
his name is Pastor Markov, transformed church in Andover, Minnesota.
If he wanted to check it out, he did a
(01:48):
message on Acts chapter three, and Acts chapter three is
about healings. It's about miracles. And then he elaborated on
the point of miracles, and he made three points. The
point of miracles is for us to look upward towards Heaven.
(02:11):
It's for us to focus on the healer. It's for
us to focus on Jesus. The point of healings is
for us to look forward. He mentioned that the brokenness
we experience will one day be undone. It points forward
to what life will be like in eternity. And then
he said it points inward. And the point he made
(02:33):
on inward is we need salvation more than we need
physical healing. The miracle points to our greater need of salvation.
And the point that I want to touch on is
the forward point. The brokenness we experience will one day
be undone. It points forward to what life will be
(02:55):
like in eternity. This is the best news that we
could ever receive. When we are in heaven with Jesus,
we will be fully restored. All of the battles, all
of the struggles, the addictions that we all face, whether
(03:17):
it be drugs and alcohol, whether it be sports, work, money,
whatever it is, all of those will vanish when we
enter the Kingdom of heaven. So I want to encourage
you this morning to keep fighting the good fight, to
keep pushing on. I know it's hard, I know it's challenging,
(03:41):
but there will be a day when there's no more tears,
no more pain, and no more suffering because we will
one day be in heaven with our King Jesus, with
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and all of the
battles that we've faced on earth will no longer be.
(04:05):
That is the hope and joy of knowing Jesus as
our Lord and savior. We can live with joy today
because we know that one day all these struggles and
the pain that we are going through currently, or will
go through in the future, or have really created a
(04:29):
lot to bear because we did something in the past.
All of that will be gone. We will be fully restored,
and we will be with Jesus one day. So I
want to encourage you to keep pushing on with Jesus
by your side, because the way that I see it
(04:51):
is our life is like a sleepover at a friend's house.
I don't know about you, but I grew up with
sleepovers at friend's houses. I used to go to friend's
houses and have a sleepover. They would come to my
house and sleepover at my house. And our life is
like a sleepover because when you think about the thousands
(05:11):
of years that our earth has existed, and you think
about the amount of time that we live, our life
is like a sleepover. One day we will be gone
from this earth, and if you are a follower and
believer of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you
(05:32):
will be in the greatest place that you've ever experienced.
We will have the greatest joy and experience with Jesus.
And that is not like a sleepover. That is going
to be eternal, which is mind boggling in and of itself.
(05:53):
It's never ending. Everything we do is based on time.
Everything we do is oh, a week later, two weeks later,
a month later. In heaven, it's timeless. We will be
with King Jesus forever, and that is such a joy
to hold onto. That is the amazing truth and the
(06:15):
amazing sacrifice that Jesus made for us, made for us
who our sinners. Isaiah thirty five six says this, the
lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot
speak will sing for joy. Springs will gush forth in
the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland. Lame men
(06:38):
and women will leap like deer, the voiceless break into song.
That's what heaven will be like. That is a future
picture of what the joy of heaven will bring. Those
that struggle physically or mentally, those that struggle with problems
every day, those that struggle with family issues, all of
(06:59):
that will be gone. So I want to encourage you
this morning to continue fighting the good fight, because one
day the fight will be over and we will be restored,
our bodies, our souls will be restored. I hope this
is encouraging to you, and I hope and pray that
(07:21):
the Holy Spirit reveals more and more about our Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you for listening, and thank
you for making this podcast a part of your day.
