Speaker 1 (00:00):
Todays.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Hey, welcome to your Saturday exclusive podcast segment where we
play a little game every Yeah, which, by the way,
I was kind of hoping to have the Backstreet Boys
Nick Carter on Today's Today. Yeah, he's back in the
day that. Yeah, he's like press people wrote us, and
I'm like, well, we play this game and it'd be
perfect for him because he's like a nineties you know icon.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yeah, and they're like, oh, that sounds great.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
And then I hit him back and I'm like, okay,
here are the Times and crickets cricket. Yeah, I don't
know if they like pitched Nick Carter and he was like, no,
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Yeah, I'm doing already.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Sorry.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah, dude, is that how low this show is for getting? Yeah,
he doesn't want us. Sorry, that's it all right.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
So instead I'm just gonna be asking the questions, uh,
to Alexis our gen Z resident and not Nick Carter.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
No, no, everyone, Yeah, you know, I know that's Knicks
fan club. I know.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Usually they're really about like nineties moments and celebs that
Alexis doesn't really know. Ever. Yeah, ever, But today today's
a little different because we're gonna start with famous people
you actually know in a little game I like to
call NEPO or NOPO.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
So I'm going to give.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
You the relevant celebrity name, and you just have to
tell me if they have famous parents by saying NEPO
for nepotism, or they came up on their own by
saying NOPO.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Got it, okay, and.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I have quite a few here, so we're gonna run
through them fairly quickly, yep, just so you know, but
i'd love to hear your you know thoughts.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Who's a NEO and who's not? Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
So we're gonna start NEPO or NOPO. Actress Kate Hudson.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Oh, yes, she's an EPO baby.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Yes, it's Holdi Han, right, it's her mom, Holdie Han,
and it's her stepfather's Kurt Russell. Oh yeah, yeah, there
we go. Okay, Selena Gomez, what do her parents do?
I'm gonna go nopo.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
You're right, her mom actually did work in commercials and
music videos and like local theater production, but she was
in no way famous.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. Next one, Lily Collins from Emily
in Paris. Ooh, does she have famous parents? She kind
of like randomly came out.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
I mean I didn't follow her till Emily and Paris,
but like, how did she get that role all of
a sudden, NEPO, You're right, okay.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
And her dad is famous singer Phil Collins, which maybe
you only know him from Tarzan, but yeah, her.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Dad seems Tarzan. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy. That is so cool.
Growing up.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
He also was a musician outside of Tarzan, very very
Tarzan only. Yes, okay, I think you're gonna know this.
Next one, the EXO XO singer el King.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
The fact you think I should know this makes me think, NEPO, Oh, yeah,
you know.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Her dad is the famous actor Rob Schneider was in studio.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
And he gave everyone I know. But we talked about it.
We talk about it all the time.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Guys do talk about it because it was one of
the wildest interviews we've ever done.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
I did not know that's her dad.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
He told a story on air of his friends strangling
a pregnant cat.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
I am not exaggeratedly, Yes, you are much after delivering that,
and then it died. Yeah, the funniest thing in the Yeah,
but he did.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
He did actually play as one of el King's songs
while he was here.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
He's like, Oh, it's a show this to anyone. Look
at that. A supportive father and that she came out
and said she didn't like him. Yeah, yeah, that's right,
that's okay. Next celebrity in NEPO or Nopo Zendia her parents.
I'm good, NOPO, you're right, And Dana is the best.
She worked for that.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Yeah, her parents were both teachers in Oakland. Her dad
became her manager.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
But yeah, that's all right. NEPO or Nopo. Hailey Bieber
Oh Neo.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
She's obviously the famous. Her famous dad is Stephen Baldwin.
He was also a NEPO baby.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah. Yeah, she's third generation NEPO. Wow, got just family money. Okay.
Stranger Things star Maya Hawk, Oh, I think I know
the answer to this one. I think she's NEPO. You're right, mother.
I found that out last year. And Ethan Hawk is
her father, and when you see it and then her

(04:22):
like she's definitely their child. Like perfect, Okay. Our last
one in NEPO or Nopo Dakota Johnson. She's fifty shades.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
And she was just in the new movie that she
came out of the material list.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Johnson's popular last name.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Could you have a lot of famous Johnson's, I mean
even noo.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
She is, her dad is Don Johnson of Miami Vice
and her mom is Melanie Griffith. Do you know that
famous actor? And and here's the thing is that she
makes fun.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Of herself for being a NEPO baby.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
She actually did an sn L sketch with the please
don't destroy guys, and it's so funny. You should watch
the whole thing. But in it they're all wearing because
two of them are NEPO babies, So in it, they're
all wearing NEPO rings.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Listen to it. The more people saw it, then we'll
see your new movie. Daddy. Oh is daddyo?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Who you call to get your job? No? Not really?
Neo truth truth, A.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Foot in the door, the door their rings together. That's
so funny, fun that was nepo or nopo? Okay, who
almost got a perfect school? You almost did? You did
really well? You did really well.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
And you know we're gonna turn to I think one
of the wildest fronts of the nineteen nineties, and that
is the cable network Nickelodeon. They had some shows on
there that feel more like a fever dream than real.
But one that I came across that totally I forgot
about until I saw the image of it is a
show called Wienerville.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
No listen to the provo.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
The whole wide world is whining poor Wienerville, Nickelodeon, Wienerville.
What are they whining for. They're whining for their cartoons,
They're whining for that head puppet. They're whining to watch
real kids get Wiener eye, They're whining for Winerville. The

(06:27):
only show.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Work, Yes, Wienerville, Yeah, you got wi Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
And it was a variety show and basically the host
his name was Mark Wiener No, yes, yes, and he
would put his head, his human head on a bunch
of puppets and they've all lifted a town called Wienerville, Okay.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
And it was very real, had two seasons.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
And I've got a list of four puppets from the show, Alexis.
Three of them were real characters and.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
One is made up.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Okay, Okay, so I'm going to have you tell me
which one was not a Wienerville puppet.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
I was just thinking, you know, like I feel bad
for the guy growing up wien aer On the back.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Of his jerseys, this whole life. But then he goes
and does this, yeah, and it's.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Like, you know, I can't feel bad anymore.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
There it is, Okay. Here's our puppet characters. First, we
have a cocktail Frank.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
He was the band leader of Cocktail Frank and his Wienies.
Or is it the Schnitzel mark Sassy Parrots sidekick see Cornelius,
corny dog del enemy, always trying to take over wiener
Ville that's or is it d Baby Jeffrey, Mark's human

(07:36):
puppet nephew who's always making a complete mess.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Did you make up Baby Jeffrey because of Baby Jeffrey here?
Or is it a real Baby Jeffrey puppet?

Speaker 3 (07:47):
The cocktail one. I'm like, it's a kids show, so
is there a cocktail? You know, like a band on cocktails?
Yeahxt you kids even know a cocktails? I mean kids are.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Getting wienerized in this show, so I don't know, forgive
cocktails before you get that.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
I like the villain guy, the Schnitzel. You know, Schnitzel
is not a hot dog or a wiener So what's
he doing in there?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
You do?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
I do love Schnitzel. Oh my God.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
No, people think they think Wiener Schnitzel where it's in
a form.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Schnitzel is right right.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Now that you said that, I'm keeping Switzel in and
I'm gonna go to Baby Jeffrey's the fake one.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Sorry. Okay, there's a picture of Baby Jeffery's very real.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Wow. Yeah, there's just a mark Wiener's head on it.
From Baby It was actually Cornelius Corny Dog.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
I made him.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
There was an evil enemy, but that evil enemy's name
on Wienerville was Eric Vaughan first and second. Okay, yeah, okay,
go look up clips of Wienerville.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
I know I want to waste my time wild. Finally,
you know what I was thinking about.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I was actually all the Peloton bike yesterdayton Well. I
was on it and were I was doing a nineties
workout and Whitney Houston came on and I was like, man,
we do not talk enough about her greatness. She owned
the nineties. Do you know this nineteen ninety hit it's
not right, but it's okay?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Do you know that song? Here, we'll play it. It's
not but.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
By way back, don't you?

Speaker 3 (09:31):
It was huge.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
It was huge and it came out right after all
these infidelity rumors about her then husband.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Bobby Brown, who he was a piece of crap.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
But there's no word that it's about him specifically. Okay, okay,
But in the song she does detail exactly how she
catches her man cheating, and this I feel like you're
a pretty good sleuth when it comes to this kind
of stuff. Yeah, so I'm just gonna ask you. Can
you tell me how she did it in the song?
How did she catch him cheating?

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Okay? There's no multiple choice. Oh, you just have to cheating.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Yeah, and I will say I'm going to give you
a tip. You just have to remember it's nineteen ninety eight,
so there's not as much technology to figure this stuff.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Out as we have now. Okay, so just talk it
through we can. I ask what song of hers were
you on the Peloton too? What were you this one
came on?

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (10:17):
This is what I came on? Dude. I love the
Instructor tuned day. She's my favorite. Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
She has really hard workouts, by the way, But yeah, yeah, yeah,
I actually put Brooke and Jeffrey podcast under my handle
on Peloton.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Really yeah, always putting in the work. Brook. I appreciate
that I'm always I mean, they may see my like
results and be like man that kids. Yeah, it's a
weak showres tough day at work?

Speaker 4 (10:42):
Yeah, okay, what okay, you don't have technology that sucks.
What are you gonna catch How are you going to
catch someone cheating?

Speaker 3 (10:48):
I mean cliche.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
You walk in on them and they're with your best friend.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Okay, you know big gaps.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Not that.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Maybe you look out the window you see them hooking
up in the car with somebody. You they don't really
go to work and they go to somebody's house. Oh yeah,
I'm gonna say it's cliche.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
And he was with her best friend? Play the audio
how did she catch him cheating? And Ashton the cheat
because on the two of you had dinner. I found
your credit cop se the map she did the map.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Six guys, Hey, eating out. You should put that on
your running playlist. It's a really good all right there.
It is your today versus back in the day. Maybe
Nick Carter will be on sometime, maybe he'll all right, Hey,
