Speaker 1 (00:01):
When it's time for a couple to have a quiet
weekend away and the husband goes through the trouble of
booking an airbnb in a small town. Wow, it could
be super romantic, yes, or it could be creepy.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Af Oh why.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
At least that's what we attempt to do when we
tell him over the phone that we are excited to
have him stay at the rental house along with many
other tiny surprise guests.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Oh no, that.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Him and his wife are going to be rooming with.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Oh my god, we're going to hear.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
It in your phone.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Tap right now.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Hello, Hi, is this Matthew?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Yeah, this is him.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Oh I'm Rita. You are going to be staying in
my airbnb this weekend.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Oh yes, that's right. Hey, uh yeah I me and
my wife are super soaked for the trip. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well, I was just calling about my list. There was
a tiny error in it.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Oh okay, what was that?

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Well under amenities it should have said free WiFi, but
it says free wife.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
So yeah, I didn't want you getting any ideas.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Oh so the fi isn't included?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
No, no, the WiFi is there? Just no wife? Get it?
You bring your own?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Oh yeah, that's that's funny. I get what you're saying now.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Good Okay. I did have one other note. It is
just going to be such an exciting weekend for you.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
The town is putting on our annual historic Doll Festival.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Oh okay, and what is that?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
You are in for a treat.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
It is a big deal around here, and to celebrate,
I've decorated all the rooms with antique porcelain dolls.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
What summer old.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Some are a little broken, maybe missing teeth, but you know,
just really beautiful in their own special way.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
So what do you mean they're like a bunch of dolls?

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Like?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I actually have some of the oldest ones in town,
and they have amazing history.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
There's a few from families who mysteriously went missing in
the nineteen twenties.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Isn't that meat?

Speaker 3 (02:18):
What do you mean missing?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Oh well, you can read up on that when you
get here. Oh you know, normally I don't have these out.
I usually keep them locked away in the cellar.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
I'm just curious. How many dolls are we talking about.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I don't know, roughly eighty and ninety.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
I mean they'll be everywhere, why kitchen, dining room, hiding
behind the shower, curtain in the bathroom. You just never know.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
They're so fun.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Can I just say something real quick, well in.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
A minute, because one wants to say hi to you
right now?

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah? No, thank you? Whoa? What the hell is that?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
That's enough? You saved that conversation for later.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
That's a doll making that noise.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
They're just very chatty, you know. Sometimes they go off
all by themselves.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
No, hell no, you.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Gotta meet Hilda though she is a chatty Kathy.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
No, I'm not doing this. What is no way you're
telling me? You have like eighty of these around the
entire house.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Oh, she has a button on her back. Some say
it's a stab wound, but I don't know. I mean,
what child would stab a doll? Right?

Speaker 3 (03:42):
You know why didn't you mention this on the Airbnb
in the listing? It wasn't I didn't see it anywhere.
It wasn't listed. It didn't say anything about your creepy dolls.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
That's what I'm That's what I'm calling you for. Silly.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Yeah. No, I don't want to be part of this. Like,
I'm not doing this. Me and my wife are not
going to your Airbnb. We're done. You can councel the
entire thing.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Okay, well, it's gonna be news to your wife because
she said that she was real excited to meet my
little ladies.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
My wife didn't even have any idea. You never even
talked to my wife.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Oh. I definitely talked to your wife. I talked to
her hill to talk to her.

Speaker 3 (04:15):

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Even our producer talked to her.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Because she's the one that set you up for a
prank phone call.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
What what are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
This is actually brug from the radio show Brook and
Jeffrey in the morning. We're doing a phone tap on you.

Speaker 4 (04:34):

She said, you two have been looking forward to like

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
