Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning and for today's

(00:02):
prank call. A mother contacted us and said her daughter,
who's twenty eight years old, finally decided to move out
of the family house and trek out on her own.
Wait her decision, but now after a few months, mom
is regretting it because she isn't hearing from her daughter
as much. That's why she reached out to a radio

(00:25):
show and thought it might be funny if we posed
as a private detective, gathering info and reporting it all
back to mom in your phone tap right now. Hello, Hi,
I'm looking to speak with Stephanie.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Weis This is she? Who is calling? Hi?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
There's Stephanie. My name's Tyler Tobinson. Family gum shoe. How
are you doing today?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I'm good?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Who's good?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
What did you say that this was about?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I'm a family gum shoe otherwise known as an investigator.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Okay, yes, I got that, But what is this in regards?

Speaker 1 (01:08):
You're hard to track down? But uh, I'll just get
right to the point. I was hired by your mother, Heather,
was to find out what's really going on in your life?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah, according, what do you mean? Okay, No, need to
get hysterical with me.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Here getting hysterical. I'm a little shocked, obviously, as anyone
would be.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Whatever you want to call it. Let's just keep the
emotions out of this, because, according to your mom, since
you don't live at home anymore, you don't really call
her text she doesn't hear from you practically ever.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
My god, so really a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Of questions and not a lot of answers.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
So you're serious. My mom hired a private detective to
find out why I'm not texting.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Man, I prefer the term family gum shoe.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Sure, whatever you prefer. Okay, this is ridiculu.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Feel free to have that opinion. But as I said before,
mom doesn't hear from you as much as she used to,
so naturally she has her suspicions. Suspicions, that's right.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I texted her back the other day like, I've just
been busy with school.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah. I saw the text, and if I'm being honest,
it smelled like a porta potty in July. What stink?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
I'm not lying. I'm busy with school. Why would I lie.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
About that busy? Okay? You see, in my line of work,
whenever someone says the word busy. It usually translates to
I'm doing hardcore drugs.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I've seen it, not what you think is happening.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Seen it a million times. Kid flies the coup, gets
hooked on painkillers. Next thing you know, they're hitting the streets,
just trying to make motel money. And God, nobody's blaming you.
I'm just trying to get the answers.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I have a condo downtown and I just got a
job as a graphic designer. I am not looked on
pain killers.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I'm gonna write that down in my report.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Please do and please tell my mother this.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Daughter claims to live loose lifestyle in sleezy condo. You
mean affordable condo down revolving door of drugs.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
What are you writing down?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I do not do drugs.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I have a good job, and you are taking everything
out of context.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Oh I am okay, Well, what's your landlord's name? Then
his name is Tim? Oh okay, I'm gonna write that
one down. Daughter admits her pimp's name.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Is what my landlord? You said, what is my landlord's name?
And I said Tim, and then you said pimps.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Okay, sorry, don't you whatever the hell you want. I'll
change it. I'll change that writing down. Daughter working by
herself on the streets.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
So I am not talking to you anymore. I am
no longer under my mom's roof. Please tell her that
this is not something that she needs to worry about
or that she needs to be hiring people about.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Writing that down.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Don't change what I said right exactly, that this is
the dumbest thing.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Ever writing it. Daughter is fired up about mom's prank
phone call.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Direct quote, this is the dumbest thing ever.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
I'm not sure if you heard me there, mom's prank
phone call but still denies prostitute lifestyle.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Can you just say prank phone call?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Oh yeah, I guess I kind of did, huh, because
your mom, Heather sets you up for a phone tap.
You're you're on the radio with Brook and Jeffery in
the morning. Your mom told us that you never called
back home anymore, and so she wanted us to prank you.
It's kind of her revenge. My gosh. I I will

(05:01):
try and call her. No, I know, I know you're
going to school by day and work in the streets
by night, just trying to keep it going.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
No, I do have a good job. I'm just you know,
trying to make some extra money to help pay for school.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, and also to pay your pimp Tim. Oh my gosh,
they're so dumb.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Wake Up every morning was foom Taps weekday mornings on
