Speaker 2 (02:19):
I love to play on that. By the way, brother,
I don't know if they did that on purpose.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
Oh yeah, absolutely, everything is the first one to do that.
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Oh no, everything has been absolutely like systematically chosen for
the marketing concept.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Man, it's it's very.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Point, without further ado, please put your hands together and
make some noise for this man, mister.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Carnor McGregor in the building.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
I'm gonna try, but.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Yeah, what what's up with that? First off, how do
you lose the arm? The hand is that birthdars a
hold on.
Speaker 6 (02:48):
It's the funniest fucking thing watching me try to get
or not try to get arrested, but get me ever,
getting put in a handcuffs is one of the funniest
things that I've ever witnessed.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
And it's me, folks that are listening.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
He has his level darm mission from just about five
inches past the elbow, does he?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yeah? Does he? Well, that's why you said it. I
didn't want him to his shoulder all Yeah, the lighter
on the left or I got yeah, yeah, yeah, you
heard it. You're going on for you.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
Actually, I was actually born like that, so your whole
life I got the easierad man. Anybody loses one later
on there, I'm sorry there.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, I have, but I really feel that way, like
if you're bored with it, you know, you know, no
difference to yeah. I mean you've done everything with this
little arm. That's like, that's what. Yeah. And I've seen
you rolling.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
A joy with the little nub, right, weren't you where
you had your hand. So I'm curious now because what
did you put something.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
In the nub?
Speaker 4 (03:45):
So I have the ability.
Speaker 6 (03:46):
I mean, it's perfect for the weeds because pretty much
all I have to do is kind of slide it
in between the bend right there and the elbow where
you put it at yeah yeah, and then so I
kind of just hold the weeds over like this, and
you know those either are listening, I pretty much have
just tilted my elb a little bit to the side
and pretty much the spark like that and then like
a normal joint kind of lighted up like that.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
That's dope, dude, that's right. Don't let it stop. You brother. Yeah,
I mean it's not holding you down. So where are
you from? Now that we know you're born with this
arm thing?
Speaker 4 (04:16):
So I'm actually born and rais from LA? Really yeah,
passing area sixpresent.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
Yeah, let's go.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
I've been there for a long time.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
What school's you going to do? High school?
Speaker 6 (04:26):
So I actually went and uh, I played a lot
of sports drawing up. So I went to Saint Francis
for one year to play football there and I realized, I,
I dude, I hate private school man. Football was fun, man.
And then I moved out to Glendora. I did some
football out there and here a wow.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
I actually lived in.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Monrovia for a while, right off from Mountain and Foothills,
So a lot of time out there.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
It's a nice hilarious That whole little area is.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Both a lot of wee out there.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
Yeah, it's actually I got like a couple of houses
out there. It's a dope place though. So you're from
the valley, You're from LA. You've been around this culture
then for a long time. You got the long hair,
you got the look. How did you get involved with
this company? I mean, how does it go from being
in the not the valley but damn near the valley
out there in the six two six to getting all
of them the cannabis game. As I believe, you're the
(05:14):
marketing director now for this company.
Speaker 6 (05:16):
So I actually there's there's so many hats that everyone
wears at that company. So, I mean, everybody's so well
versed in just about every aspect of marketing, design, just coordination, everything.
So I mean the titles don't really mean anything. It's
more so just like, hey, you do mostly marketing stuff,
so that's.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
You're like a county one day, you're the guard work.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
I'm never touching books, man, I suck with numbers. So
but yeah, so it really just kind of came down
to like you know, strong suits and how that kind
of gets determined, and you know a lot of the
marketing stuff. It just kind of came naturally because a
lot of the art and creativity behind it. You know,
I'm naturally very art driven, so kind of came from there.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
How long has the company been around?
Speaker 6 (05:59):
So so weed z was actually conceived, you know, it
was conceived at twenty nineteen. I believe we were there
talks about it in twenty eighteen, but twenty nineteen was.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
The full solidification of the idea itself into twenty twenty.
Speaker 6 (06:14):
I mean, we had pretty much laid the entire foundation
to build the company out in twenty nineteen. I would
say the first three months of twenty twenty were very
crucial to kind of building everything out. And then obviously
the pandemic hit, and you know, we kind of hit
the fork. You know, what do we do do we
spend X amount of dollars on on Let's okay, let's
let's just stop everything and waste all the money that
(06:35):
we had initially put together for. Don't do that, I know,
but yeah, so we decided to move forward. And because
the entire concept was really based around the Coachella or
just music festival vibes. I mean, if you pay attention
to any of our branding, a lot of the marketing accessories,
everything associated with the brand is mainly to kind of
correlate with, you know, the idea of going out to
(06:56):
music festival and you know, the convenience of just popping
up in a joint real fast and smoking up.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
You know, sure, I mean as we as you say
that in the convenience, you guys are if I'm not mistaken,
one of the first to do the point zero five Graham,
it's basically the token go. Some like to call it
the dog walker, some like to call it the walk around,
the blocker, the.
Speaker 7 (07:15):
Quick one, quitters, the pinn me, the pinners, and there's
all those names are perfect for it.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
I want to ask you who came up with these
concepts for this for your company?
Speaker 6 (07:26):
I actually I remember this very vividly because I believe
it was like kind of kind of like middle of
twenty nineteen. We had, you know, we have a few
other companies we were working with, but we kind of
sat there and conceptualized an idea, and.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
I remember I remember our boss would.
Speaker 6 (07:43):
Call us in for like kind of like a think
tank kind of a deal, and we'd kind of go
in and sit and kind of go to the round
table and kind of talk about concepts.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
And I remember he.
Speaker 6 (07:53):
Is of Asian heritage, so specifically Chinese, and they're these
these very specific candies that he remembered as a kid
that he would get at checkout, and there were these
like interesting little like like I mean, it's it's in
Mexican culture as well, Like I it's this type of
candy that they have. It's those do you remember those
(08:17):
little candies that they come in like little individual wrappers.
They're like little tiny ones, but they're they're they're like
in a line almost like they hang from like I'm not.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Sure if sugar.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
They're a little candies.
Speaker 6 (08:28):
Yeah, the little candies, but they're more prevalent, and I
guess trying.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Like sour and sweet, like yeah, almost like a fruit exactly. Yeah,
they're like a hard can those Puerto Rico or whatever. Maybe, yeah,
maybe that I've never seen those ahead.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
I just remember him he kind of hap.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
The the idea is like, look, I I just remember
these candies, and I remember how happy it would get
when I would, you know, receive these candies.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
You know, my mom and my dad would would throw me.
So it was like, well, you know, I want that
kind of convenience, but I want it in like a
dog walker too. I want it to be able to
translator in the Kansas industry.
Speaker 6 (09:01):
Well, and that's kind of how the idea was perceived,
and that's where a lot of the very.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Sweet flavors come from. You and your pretty flavor.
Speaker 6 (09:08):
You know. It's it's mainly to kind of like harp
on the the the idea of like, hey, you're actually
smoking like that.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
That's strawberry. That's that's you're gonna think that straberty, you.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Know, right, a lot of side of the Canada asset.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
You're gonna get that strawbery type of kid down.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Well, that's a great story right there. We're going to
take a break. Come by back talk to Connor as
he's from Weeds.
Speaker 5 (09:26):
I want to get into where this name came from,
because you said all these things are.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Thought of, and I think the name is amazing. I'm
looking at the merchandise.
Speaker 5 (09:33):
The merchandise is incredible on the website and there's so
many different brands.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
We're going to talk about them all. Will be right
back after this place.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Subscribe to our weekly newsletter on our website, Cannabis Talk
one on one dot com.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Welcome back to.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
The Bear Flat Groups, your white label partners. You guys
are known to be on time, accurate and do quality
co packaging. They've been launching brands in California since twenty fifteen.
That the Bear Flag Group, they do what they say
they're gonna do. Go check them out online Bear Flaggroup
dot com. We got Connor from Weeds here now before
we went to break Connor. I wanted to know about
the name of the company because the ig take it Weeds.
(10:17):
I mean, I can't even say that without just the
song comes into my head of Bob Marley Take It Easy.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
It's just so perfect, right, take.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
It easy, slip everybody out there.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Excuse I let my spliff your today.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
But Weeds dot com. That is one of the catchest
names that I see. I hear it has the word
weed in it and then s y weed z.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
How does that come up? Where did they do this?
And were you a part of that roundtable? Because that
is phenomenal.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
Yeah, so that on one of those brainstorming little scenarios
we had. You know, obviously gotta give credit here. Boss
Man himself kind of actually coined the name because you know,
he's he's actually like I don't think.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
He needs any of you guys, because he coined the
name and he came up with the dog man man.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
He's a visage man. He's he's in the same savage.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
He's really smart, but like a lot of a lot
of the cash is and you know, like just for example,
like I think I think the way he can sceptualize
it was like our first tagline was teen c ween
see weed Ze, and the reason for it was, you know,
like yeah, it's it's just easy one and done. You know,
you crack it open and popping out and it's ready
to smoke. But like I said, the concept kind of
(11:31):
comes back to that that music festival that they want
the ease of use. They want it to be easily
transported in its own little little bag like little Mylar
or something like that. And that's kind of how it
came to be, was the concept of those candies, like
I said, And then the actual actual name itself within
that is is just the the teencen Weedze, like the
nice little easy peasy you know.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
And so that's how they came up with it. With
that type of concept. That's why we'll call it Weeds, etc.
Bean Sea Weeds. That's so how many.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Products are together, because I'm looking at the website right here,
so many colorful things. And as we mentioned at the
beginning of the show, first off, the merchandise looks really dope.
The white T shirt look with the baseball Lookie weed
Zy logo, that one looks like a dodgery, Like.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
It's just like one of my original lawyers for cannabis.
Yeah and as yeah, I do. I totally remember that.
Speaker 4 (12:20):
Classic.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
When I look at this Weeds one, I feel like
it's l A all dead right. That weeds looks l
A all day.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
You have to almost when you relate things like that,
it's amazing because people do relate to it.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
I'll mess with that, you know.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Psycholog is a huge factor that place.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
Now that these names, I'm still going to sing the
song prob before more times to get mad at me.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
And let me ask you why why? Uh you know,
how did you actually, you know, meet the owner? Like
how did you guys meet? Did you apply for the job?
Did you guys just be were you guys friends?
Speaker 6 (12:52):
Or so the I come from an industry, like it
was initially the vape industry. So I come from a
lot of like self made humans, like very very like
like entrepreneurs raw yeah, raw raw creatures.
Speaker 5 (13:07):
Man.
Speaker 6 (13:07):
They just they they wanted to, you know, make something
of themselves. And before unfortunately, before that industry was kind
of destroyed within itself. You know a lot of those
people kind of came came out of that industry with
like a lot of just just you know, energy, some
triumph and and funds and and the you know, concepts
to come kind of come to the table with with
other brands. These are the people that that come you know,
(13:28):
from the ground up. These aren't people that came from
money like. These people come from from hard work. And
that's that's initially how I met them is you know,
like I I can't do I started with I think
like health insurance when I was a teenager man. Like
it was terrible, don't get me wrong. But I met
these people through my ability to kind of work with
technology and and uh, they actually kind of rescued me
(13:49):
from another employer that was not super super good to me,
but they saw my potential and they gave me a shot,
and you know, I gave him everything I had and
they kept me on board for.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
A long time. How long have you been with the company?
Speaker 4 (14:02):
Oh, I want I'm going on like I want to say,
five and a half six years now?
Speaker 2 (14:04):
And what do you think they'll fire you? He's already.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (14:12):
For how long? Okay?
Speaker 5 (14:14):
So Connor break down the products, because I know they're
known for three product collections, which includes originals, Twins's, and treaties.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
First off, what are originals? I think that's the little joint.
What are twinsies? I don't know? And what are treaties?
Soup pac in a three pack? One baby?
Speaker 4 (14:32):
Yeah, so the the singles right here. These these are
the ogs.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
These are the the normal infused right so we've got
about five different flavors. These guys are like the the
workhorses of the brand, because I mean, we actually thought
about it and we actually started seeing it happen and
a lot of the purchasing was, you know, in more
affluent areas, people were actually buying like boxes of them,
bringing them back to the house and they'd have them
on their counters and pretty much go out and grab them.
(14:56):
It's the whole concept is the grab and go concept,
you know, it's it's the dog walk is that the
portable dogwalkers? But yeah, we wanted to kind of expand
on that idea. We wanted we wanted to bring a
little bit more to the table other than just our
infused dissolate and keef products. We wanted to actually go
and step into like more of the live resin and
kind of get that that underneath that live resin and
diamond combos.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
That's those are our twinsies. Sorry, Adhd, I'm going no, no, no.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
That's good. That's perfect.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
So the originals are the one joint. The Twinsies are
a joint with infused. Yes, so it's not two joints.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
That's not two joints. Yeah, it's just it's one that's infused. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
So the initial these initial these smaller ones that the
single packaged ones are still infused. It's just straight disolate
keef and flower itself. The Twinsies are going to be
the live resin diamond infused ones.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Okay, okay, and and then and the treaties.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Oh, the treaties are just our animals, our gummies and
what what.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
What does that look like? What gummies look like?
Speaker 4 (15:50):
So they're different, they're they're kind of different for each
of them. I believe they're like a little stars.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
Right change I've seen them. I just but there's one describe.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
That's what I want you to Yeah, yeah, it's it.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
Honestly, like if you if you have like the mouthfeel
on the TV man that like the texture of the
gummies are not that, they're not that weird kind of
like I don't know if you guys ever had like
a bite of like a gummy or something like that,
or an edible, and it's just kind of like it's weird.
It doesn't like hold any any rigidity when you bite
into it, it just kind of goes soft and kind
of gross. Yeah, all of ours are like very very
like kind of like the same.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
You didn't bring us then, I know I'm looking for something.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
I know, I'm looking at all these things right here,
going wow, these look phenomenal over here.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
They actually look like a Canadian flower or.
Speaker 6 (16:36):
Like like the what what kind of leaf is that
we tried to copy our logo into the into the
gummies themselves.
Speaker 5 (16:42):
That's what it looks like, your logo, and it's not
like a regular candidate has more we tried.
Speaker 6 (16:46):
It's it's kind of you know, with gummies, it's so
weird when you manufacture them because they can come out
in so many different ways, and every manufacturer is just
so different with it too, so you never you really
never know what you're gonna get, especially when you're you're
still doing concepts too, so you could still go with
the concept with some one of the manufacturers.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
And sometimes it's not always like to a t it's it's.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Yeah, no, yeah, it's not perfect, you mean figure most
of the time, but you try to make it be perfect.
What's your guys as hot as sellers?
Speaker 3 (17:15):
What kind of marketing are you, I mean, what kind
of markets are you in? How many stores are you
guys running? What do you guys got going on for
the world.
Speaker 6 (17:21):
Yeah, so we're actually believe in about I want to say,
like four or five other states right now.
Speaker 5 (17:29):
But yeah, you guys are in Arizona, California, and Oklahoma
right yeah, and in Colorado coming soon.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Yeah. So we're we're constantly working to get into other states.
Speaker 6 (17:38):
And I mean, I'm not sure how how often you
guys kind of leave California and kind of go into
different cannabis markets.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Man, It's it's so just completely different.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Now we're all over the place. Yeah, we've been traveling. Man.
Speaker 6 (17:49):
We just got into like when we've got into Oklahoma. Man,
Oklahoma is just like a whole new ball game. Like
the cannabis industry out there.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Is very fast.
Speaker 6 (17:58):
Wrap it's very rapid, like out here your major players
and then you got people that are growing and and
Oklahoma everyone's growing at the same time.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
But I mean, no, it's obviously but.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Yeah slowing down. Yeah, Yeah, you know, it's funny, it is.
It like Oklahoma had a big rush, you know what,
I what I think you know you're speaking of that.
I mean, you know, to give you some of our history,
and like in twenty fifteen, we roll out an education
platform for cannabis and you know, and went into every state,
you know, teaching people how to set up you know,
their cannabis companies.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Right.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Yeah, we did that for about four or five years,
and the COVID hitting and then through that process we're
still recording our show and putting it out. But but
with that being said, though understanding, I think every state
when they come on board has this big you know
rush for the market. Then it kind of you know,
goes way up high and then it scales back down
and levels out, and then you kind of get to
find out who's going to be there.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
You know.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Yeah that's and and so I Oklahoma, I mean they
just went through that, you know.
Speaker 6 (18:52):
Oh yeah, no, it's it's uh grind veins for I mean,
even right now in California, everybody's kind of feeling it
with just about all the you know, especially the excisce Tex,
but like, you know, a lot alongside I mean I've
got people giving me calls that I've you know, I
never get calls from asking for stuff that I never
ever had, you know, like it's it's getting desperate for the.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
Certain aspects. But yeah, I know, it's it's crazy.
Speaker 6 (19:17):
It's just like as it it like almost breathes, it
feels like it breathes a lot of the time at least,
and and as it like impresses, everybody feels it.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
And that's when like a lot of the smaller brands
really kind of get like really hit by it. And
it really like in our situation when we.
Speaker 6 (19:32):
When we got we had to deal with that obviously,
and you know, being you know, a very small brand
at the start, it was it was super scrappy with
a lot of the marketing you kind of go back
where you're asked about marketing, dude, it's insane. The psychology
behind how people.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
Interact with marketing materials and what plans kind.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
Of go into creating you know, a very formidable marketing strategy,
especially with cannabis, because you know, you're effectively destroyed on
every other front except for your own drafters.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Stand sure, well listen, when we come back, I want
to ask you a few questions about like what are
your hottest sellers and things like that, says get that Rady.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
It's Cannabis Talk one on one. Move right back after
this break.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
One gallery effections, full and broad spectrum.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
Hemp extracted products contained CBD, CBG and some thirteen hundred
other elements you guys that are naturally derived substances from
the hemp and the plant. Check out the teasers, the waters,
the topicals, and the bait collections. Go field the effects
with Cali effects connor from weeds.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
You know.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
I mean, we just said it a minute ago.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
Arizona, California, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Colorado. I really like
the fact that you guys are doing the Oklahoma edition
of the Weedsy shirt with the state on it. I mean,
your guys just product looks dope. I really am admiring
your whole dynamic of what you're doing. Before we went
to break, Blue asked the question, what is the number
one cellar because I'm seeing these pre rolls over here
(21:13):
and my mouth water water.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Bring any gummy drawberry, all the flavors that.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
Just I'm gonna to drive all the way back down
here on Friday.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Cathedral City is where the hub is at. We're gonna see,
we'll be here. We're gonna be here. When we asked
Carna to bring some stuff for us, jeez, we just want.
Speaker 6 (21:31):
To talk about it on the show, and we're getting
asked for like a lot of our hats and our
shirts stuff.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
But you guys are really about the real stuff.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Man, I wouldn't mind one of those Dodgor lookie shirts.
Speaker 5 (21:40):
That's it's hard is He's like, I got one of
those in the car. Yeah, So tell me, brother, the
blue ass. What's the number one cellars from these pre
rolls here?
Speaker 6 (21:50):
Yes, So it's definitely gonna be our our flagships. So
these smaller guys right here on the budget for sure.
I mean just because of how cheap they are that
they moved the fast.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Start an expensive What do they go for usually at
the store?
Speaker 4 (22:03):
It it varies, but it's generally around seven bucks.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Uh, it's good. Yeah, it's a good deal.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
Like I said, the concept was based on you know,
check out. You know, when you walk up you see
the you know, bright colorful candy, yeah, grabbing go Yeah?
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Are they are they? Are they hanging in the stores?
How do you display them?
Speaker 4 (22:17):
So we had our display cases designed with that in mind.
Speaker 6 (22:20):
So we we have a you know, think of like
a box with a pull out on the very bottom
of it so that it yeah, pulled down.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
Yeah, So all you do is.
Speaker 6 (22:28):
Pretty much put it on the top of the countertop, Yeah,
pull down the lip and just grab and go right there.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
Oh nice, Yeah, that's fantastic. They sit on the top.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
Yeah. Oh so everybody here is grab one, Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
So that's that's also the party aspect of it too.
I mean, you know, you buy a box of them,
you know, keeping about the house, you got a party
going on. I mean, dude, it's it's joints left and right.
You're gonna keep them fresh too, because the milar how
many come in a box?
Speaker 4 (22:51):
About fifty box?
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Fifty? That's a great party, hey invite some people have
fifty joints sitting on a box. You get a better
price than you buy the whole box.
Speaker 6 (23:00):
I think that's really dependent on the store the stores themselves. Yeah,
whatever deal they're kind of they're kind of working with.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
Yeah, the store kind of creates that, right, Yeah, for.
Speaker 6 (23:08):
Our top sellers on like the non budget though, So,
like I would say, our our go to is either
our mango chi.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Let me see, I believe I have that. Yeah, so
it's definitely gonna be the mango chi.
Speaker 6 (23:20):
That that light chi flavor on the back end is
like one of those just perfectly like fruity and like
easy to smoke constantly. It does never get old, it
doesn't like really like the flavor is like kind of
one of those flavors you can go back to over.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
And over again.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
Is that yours favorite?
Speaker 4 (23:35):
Yeah? Absolutely? I'm a live resin fan man, so.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
Like yeah, yeah, all day man.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
All day with a live resin.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
And what about the gummies? What's up popping with those?
Speaker 6 (23:44):
There's actually they're all kind of like evenly matched, I
would say the flavoring because because the flavorings themselves maybe
I guess maybe lemon drop, they're like I said that.
I mean the data we have currently is like they're
pretty much all evenly matched just to flavers are pretty
much straight across the board.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
Man.
Speaker 4 (24:02):
Man, it's pretty interesting.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Actually nice. That's always good man. And you guys are
in a bun. It looks like you guys are in
hundreds of dispensers all over the place.
Speaker 6 (24:09):
Yes, so we Actually I'm pretty interesting when we just
got into New York via tribal Land, I believe as well.
So and that's uh, the dude our Oklahoma connections as well.
So it's it's been awesome.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
Man.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
That's fantastic, dude, looking to take over the nation. You
have taken over the world.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Man, So listen, we want to get into the high
five with you and talk about the High five Joe.
Speaker 5 (24:29):
Yes, indeed, high five with Connor, the marketing director at
k l d K label.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Here we go, brother. How old are you the first
time you smoked cannabis? And where'd you get it from? Oh?
Speaker 4 (24:38):
Man, oh jeez, I think I must have been twelve
or thirteen.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
And for my neighbor, oh really, you're out there.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Yeah, so I'm not going to burn him like that.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
We're just checking. We're just checking making sure. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
No, no, actually no, he would he would probably cry
with like just tears of joy. I love you, Troy.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
S build it. Question number two of the High Five
what does you go to? What is your favorite way
to use or smoke cannabis.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
I'm sorry, that's a tough one.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
I mean, as of late, I've been like kind of
moving away from the box because like they're great and everything,
but like I really actually enjoy kind of heading out
of a piece right now. It just be you get
like the full flavor and like you kind of get
to control it a little bit more. It's I think,
as of right now, it's either going to be a
joint or a piece for me.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Nice? Nice? What kind of piece?
Speaker 4 (25:30):
I mean, the only ones I can eat probably a
steamroller or something like that.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
Little guys, Yeah, okay, cool.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
Question number three of the high five Connor Craziest place
you ever used or smoked cannabis?
Speaker 6 (25:41):
Ship Man, that's a really tough one. I don't know
everywhere I've done it, just better your man. I think
I tried to smoke at the airport once. That was
pretty funny.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
This is before all the crazy, right, Yeah, to the airport.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Yeah, Yeah, I've done it. I've done it many times.
I used to do in the bathroom.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
Yeah, you gotta like get like kind of do it
on the plane.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Too, you know.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
I just see it like like a little blanking blown
into the blanking more smoke, you know, I just you know,
I sometimes you get a little reckless.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
I used to, I used to get a little It happens, yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
Question number four of the High five, what is your
go to munchie after you get high?
Speaker 4 (26:25):
Oh that's tough. Cereal?
Speaker 2 (26:27):
What kind?
Speaker 4 (26:28):
That's the tough part.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
Either the Captain crunchberries or the cinnamon toast crunch It's
really dependent on the mood.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
Man, and I have no idea what the mood actually
is either.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I know, just like look at it and be like,
I'll take the crunchberries. That's so funny.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
I had a little bit of cereal yesterday and it
was just one of the most awesome it was. But
it was or a vanilla like granola, still somewhat healthier one,
but it was like, oh so good.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
My kid. My kid had a little bit of milk
left over and kept a little bit of little bit.
I mean, you guys make me want to go have
some cereal right now, right That's why he said I
just had from yesterday, which is weird.
Speaker 5 (27:09):
Question number five, Connor, the High five, thank you for
coming on the show and hanging out with us today
and bringing these little pinners over here, these little dog
walkers love the products.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
What and who would you smoke with dead are alive?
Speaker 5 (27:23):
That was just so again question number five, If you
can smoke cannabis with anyone dead or alive.
Speaker 4 (27:29):
Who would it be?
Speaker 2 (27:30):
And why? Dude?
Speaker 6 (27:31):
This is gonna be kind of out of left field,
but I think Robin Williams. Yes, I think I'd want
to smoke with Robin Williams man.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
And why give me some.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
Wisdom man?
Speaker 6 (27:41):
Like they got the guys just like everything everything about
the guy, just like I remember, Like I think, actually
I know exactly why, because I remember getting into like
comedy when I was pretty young, right around you know,
coincidentally smoking weed at the same time. It just happened
to stumble on the comedy. I remember stumbling onto one
of his skits and I was I was losing my
(28:02):
fucking mind listening to remember he's one of the best too,
And I remember him talking about like him being like
a raging alcoholic, and I like, I didn't, I didn't
put two and two together yet. I was like kind
of too young to understand what exactly he was talking about,
like that those were actually his fucking experiences like he wasn't.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
Lying, Like that was real. He woke up on the
car hood with his keys and his ass like.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Yeah, someone did that for him. Yeah, you know, I listen.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
He's a it's a very talented uh uh, you know, actor, entertainer,
you know, comedian, just you know, good, good, all around
favorite one of mine, you know, growing up, just watching
him being so many different you know, movies and moving
me so I can totally understand that.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Is there anything that we forgot before we let you
get on out of here? Bro?
Speaker 4 (28:51):
No, I think that's it, man, that's it.
Speaker 6 (28:52):
Just kidding, No, I honestly, I just wanted to say
thank you, man, this has been a fantastic experience, you know,
thank you guys for you know, weedsy kind of you know,
show exactly who we are.
Speaker 4 (29:03):
You know, we're a very scrappy, scrappy group.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Man.
Speaker 6 (29:05):
We we come from a lot, a lot of marketing backgrounds,
and it's just really nice to see a lot of
the a lot of the hard work come to fruition,
you know, and and being able to share that with
everyone too and have people take interest in it is
a whole whole other ballgame.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Man.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
It's just it's amazing.
Speaker 5 (29:21):
No, we like the movement, and we like everything you
guys are doing over there, so keep it up because
it's making a lot of noise.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (29:26):
I mean, and then I got another random question left
field as you said, left field right, Robin Williams.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
And you grew up with comedy. You grew up you're
born with your arm chopped like that. So did you
do any pranks, any jokes? I mean, tell me what,
at least.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
One of the good ones, because now that you're a jokester,
you've had to screw around with people with your arm.
Speaker 4 (29:45):
My whole life has been absurdity.
Speaker 7 (29:47):
So I mean, so give us one of the good
ones where you're like, oh my god, I did this
and the person flipped out like what was a good one?
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Man?
Speaker 4 (29:54):
I dude, it was me. You know, I would be
doing it all the I don't even say.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
The thing.
Speaker 6 (30:01):
The thing is is that like it's so common, because
I mean, it's I mean, you gotta understand, like I
just walking around. It's like I've got a pair of
fucking eyes staring at mean, no matter what, so I
I'll just be walking down the street. I think it's
more fun to mess with like the kids, because like
they'll like look at you and like I'll just feel
like it's gone, and they'll do something like that'll be
like just stare at you, and like you just stare
back at them, or.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
You're like it's cozy. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
I could imagine like ninety percent of the time the
parents are like, oh my god, I'm so sorry, and
I'm like, no, it's just cool.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
It's cool.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Yeah, Like that's what it is. But you have a
good time with it. That's what I could tell. Yeah,
you said you a comedy at that same age, you
have to do that and you have to be fun
like that one.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
I mean, yeah, I used to in football all the time.
Speaker 6 (30:39):
I used to suck around because I you know, I'd
come out of a dog pile screaming like where's.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
My arm or some shit.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yeah, and I bet some people would bite like what
do you mean? What do you mean? I think?
Speaker 6 (30:51):
I think one of the funniest things I've ever done
was I go to Burning Man every here and I
somehow this happened like several years ago, but somehow somebody
got me a mannequin arm and it just it's kind
of followed me since I've lost the fucking thing at
Burning Man like three times now and it's.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
Come back to me, back to me each time.
Speaker 6 (31:12):
But I think the funniest part was I used to
work for the Center Camp over there, so you know,
like you for the burn. I mean, I won't go
too far into details here, but you pretty much have
to kind of like, uh, you know, if you want
to if you want a free kind of word deal more,
you not necessarily free, you're working for it. But if
you want a situation where you're gonna get like a
cheaper ticket or a ticket you're working for, you can
(31:35):
kind of work for.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
Some of the services they have out there, so like
a center camps like a cafe. But I digress.
Speaker 6 (31:42):
Going out there during shift, you kind of go out
at weird times, and I think it must have been
like nine am for one of my shifts, and I'm,
you know, I'm riding my bike and my joke is
I'll have a backpack with me everywhere I go and
that fucking mannequin arm will stick out of the back
of it where I'm going, So yeah, kind of I
love it. But yeah, so I remember I was I
(32:04):
was riding back to camp after a shift, and I
just worked like a shift from like three am to
like nine am, and I was riding back to the
camp and I remember these kids had to have been younger,
but the dude, they were still like just a little spanions.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Man. They were tripping balls still, and.
Speaker 6 (32:17):
I remember one of them going like, oh shit, where's
his arm, and then like the other one going oh,
it's right there.
Speaker 4 (32:21):
And then that person fucking lost their mind. For like
I heard them fucking losing it.
Speaker 6 (32:26):
And I was still riding my bike and I'm so right,
you know, I've been working all night, so and I'm
just like hearing this fucking person melt down behind me
as I'm running.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Down.
Speaker 7 (32:37):
You know, my dad died with both legs goffy from
his knees down like lost. So I used to fuck
with them all the time, dude.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Like I just have fun with it. So and then
he lost his a, his hand, part part of his
arm up to his wrists.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
What the was he doing?
Speaker 2 (32:49):
It was a bad diabetic and just you know, we
just lost circulation and just whatever.
Speaker 7 (32:53):
He wasn't born that way by no means, but it
was just you know, it just happened over time, but
it was we still had fun with it. As my point,
it's like, yeah, it's like what do you what are
you gonna do?
Speaker 4 (33:02):
Like, I mean, you can't sit there and wallow in it.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Man, here's the best part of that one, right, I go, Dad,
could I have your bully's shoes? And he said no,
My god, he's still does his day what he's fighting
down the fuck your bully shoes. I don't want him now.
Oh man, thanks for coming on the show, Connor.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Great.
Speaker 4 (33:26):
I think the I think the last one I'll leave
you guys with before we hop off.
Speaker 6 (33:31):
I think the most common one because the reason I
was having such a tough time kind of comedy in
terms of what in.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
High school or just school in general. Man, Like you know,
I don't know if anybody remembers.
Speaker 6 (33:39):
But the teacher would tell everybody put their hands down
and I just keep my nub up, and they it
got to a point where half of them would fucking
kick me out of the class.
Speaker 7 (33:46):
Like the teachers probably get pissed off at you, yeah,
because they're like, you know, they're doing that's not funny.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Connor, get going to the Prinstmal's office. Now, You're like,
my hand's not up though, yeah, would smart ass with
it all day.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
Two, I said, like one or two times I've been
putting handcuffs many They first of all, they look at
you kind of fucking sideways at first, like how are
we gonna do this? And then they like kind of
like they try to figure out if you're gonna be
compative or not.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
You put them both out there, I'm sure.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
I mean, I get a jail, I get to get
out of jail free card every time I get pulled over.
Because every cop, especially here in l A is like
fucking on edge. So they always walk up like ten
to ten to two or like you know, both hands
on the steering wheel or some ship like that, and
you're like, bro, I'm.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
Just like looking. I'm like, what the fun I'm gonna do?
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Like, hey, but I'm going to the hospital right now.
I just hurt myself and they're like this ship, let
me help you.
Speaker 6 (34:43):
These guys are getting fucking yelled at on the daily,
so it's just like they get like a little tiny
bit of comic really, but they're like, all right, you
get the fuck out of here.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
And I'm like, cool man, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Take it for that. California spot perfect well man, we
appreciate you so much.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
Man.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
