Speaker 6 (03:22):
It was the third thing I did.
Speaker 9 (03:25):

My due diligence.
Speaker 10 (03:28):
Dog. You know.
Speaker 6 (03:29):
The bottom line is that that intro music, the.
Speaker 10 (03:31):
Song, you know what I mean?
Speaker 6 (03:32):
It was fire even.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
I like what you're doing there, but you know from
the beta l A we're representing. For those who don't
know it, I got five on it. If you're sleeping,
you better google it. It's one of the anthems. I mean,
I'm sure we can pull it up. You can pull
it up and we'll get it going in the second.
But yeah, because Kola.
Speaker 7 (03:50):
Is a little young, is I know what it is.
I just like.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
The background.
Speaker 5 (03:58):
We're gonna play it in the background. Y, you're gonn
to wrap over it as we play it.
Speaker 6 (04:01):
So we're just gonna come on it.
Speaker 10 (04:04):
Oh no, yeah, he.
Speaker 6 (04:06):

Speaker 5 (04:36):

Speaker 7 (04:39):
They trapped me in here. They didn't even bring me back.
Now you and a business call.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
You're going about to get the diamond go front or
the platinum fronts like yet the whole nine.
Speaker 6 (04:51):
So yeah, what's going down with you man?
Speaker 5 (04:52):
For those who, like I said, don't know the I
got five on it, in my opinion, is one of
the original anthems for smoking weed, and it's you know,
just start play in the background.
Speaker 6 (05:00):
We'll just get it going. But do we have it?
Speaker 11 (05:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (05:03):
Oh, turn it up, turn it out.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
Foods I can't getting like should know me on me,

many heads to me. Probat Let my grand hit this.
Speaker 12 (05:14):
Let you pull out the bat Chrispy five dollar bill
on the real befalling. It's his streaty because you got
a factum gloves and if you let them in before

Speaker 10 (05:23):

Speaker 12 (05:25):
I'm come to school water Taylor on my hair lovel

Speaker 6 (05:42):
Talk about things and Maddie, that's what you asked me
to take the.
Speaker 13 (05:46):
Take out of the out god bitch y'all know the
big ball, like I said, growing up in the Bay
(06:09):
dog and I don't care if you not from the Bay.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
But that wasn't anthem.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
So it's a real pleasure and I'm sure if.
Speaker 7 (06:16):
Man, but that was amazing for me over here.
Speaker 5 (06:19):
I mean like I said, though, I mean ear first
of all, shout out to my new background.
Speaker 9 (06:23):
You know we're.
Speaker 10 (06:28):
Going on tour next month.
Speaker 6 (06:29):
Let's go shout out upby Lena getting my.
Speaker 11 (06:35):
Definitely shout out my new background guys me, but I
want to go back to that that that anthem and
when you created it because I wanted the story on
where that came from, how that came about, because, like
I said, dog for me growing up, it was you
got five on this.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
If not, you're smoking with me, you know what I mean.
It became that lingo.
Speaker 10 (06:55):
Well, I mean, long story, long yea.
Speaker 7 (07:00):
The time we're here for this.
Speaker 11 (07:01):
Okay, Now we were teenagers, you know what I mean
at the time, and this is around the time when
cessweed was just like up in the Bay Area, like
you could have buy a big ass super bag of
sets for like five dollars. You had a whole street
on seventy first called the cess Alley.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
So they were broke.
Speaker 10 (07:20):
You had to go to the sets salary. Now if you.
Speaker 11 (07:22):
Had mone money, you had money, mean you had to
go to seventy first and Favor Street, which had the
dank get.
Speaker 10 (07:30):
Right, Dan called dank.
Speaker 11 (07:34):
So we always pitch in, like, fuck that five for
the sets, man, You pitch in your five that you
got for the sets, and we just go get some dank.
Speaker 10 (07:42):
Fucked that set. So we had to pitch in because
we was little, you know what I mean. And then
at that time they would not sell you no.
Speaker 6 (07:48):
Weight, right, like if you weren't broken down.
Speaker 11 (07:51):
No, if you will spent one hundred dollars, they will
give you ten sacks, eleven sacks.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
Getting Yeah, yeah, you want to get a set seven.
Speaker 10 (08:01):
Accord, they're giving you ten ten sacks.
Speaker 6 (08:04):
Period, here's.
Speaker 10 (08:06):
Twenty five sacks. They're gonna give you five twenty sacks
with an extra twenty sack.
Speaker 11 (08:11):
Yeah, they're not gonna give you a half fourteen gram
none of that shit.
Speaker 10 (08:15):
So it was when you had to really buy a
sack for sacks.
Speaker 11 (08:17):
So Snooper had came with on one of them songs,
just like once again, I got five on the twenty sack.
Speaker 10 (08:23):
It's like that doesn't matter.
Speaker 6 (08:26):
Tat put the food on my back.
Speaker 11 (08:28):
Yeah, So that Snoop Doggie dog He came out in
ninety three. We got signed to ninety three to See
No records with Drew Down.
Speaker 10 (08:35):
He was signed there year.
Speaker 11 (08:37):
He was signed there already, and we basically turned the
drug them to a record deal. We turned the negative
into a positive. Like we was there, me and none
was there to buy some work and see and h
the executive producer just happened to be there.
Speaker 10 (08:48):
You know, the dude that we was copping from.
Speaker 11 (08:50):
And I noticed that he hanged with too short because
he'd be on all the videos and shit, they called
him baby Jesus back in the day.
Speaker 10 (08:55):
I remember baby Jesus, so I'm like, that's baby Jesus. No,
that's baby Jesus.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
Shirt would say that in all a lot of the songs. Yeah,
funck this.
Speaker 11 (09:03):
Coche man we could rap and he's like, let me
hear you rap, and I bust the ice cream man.
Speaker 10 (09:08):
He was like, yo, studio tomorrow.
Speaker 11 (09:10):
And at that time he was working with Drew Down,
and Drew Down was getting all his music done by
Anne Banks Laio at Dangerous Studios. So we go there
the next day and you know, I ended up having
to have a rap battle. You know how that goes
rap battle. You gotta stand up. I was just in
(09:31):
the wound, so we had Yeah, Kalo was my background,
she had my bars. But anyway, I had to rap
against the legendary rapping around rest in peace. You know
you heard about wrapping around and bad influence. So they
was two short artists. So to Shore was like, yeah,
seeing h man, let's have a rap battle with the
artists who will but win got to buy the whole
(09:51):
studio pieces.
Speaker 6 (09:53):
That's a fair game.
Speaker 7 (09:55):
Let's go.
Speaker 11 (09:56):
So end up, I'm going through them, right, it's three
of them against me, so I'm going through them, going
through them, going through them too, tap out, so its
just me and wrap around at the end.
Speaker 10 (10:03):
It's a long story short wrap around. Know how to freestyle,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 11 (10:07):
He could rap like you got the shirt on and
you got the beard with the you got this in here,
you know, just bring everybody into it instead of somebody
just saying a regular rap that they wrote.
Speaker 10 (10:16):
So I was saying raps that I wrote. That was
killing it.
Speaker 11 (10:18):
But he was able to rap about everything in the
room hop brothers in law, man, manooo.
Speaker 10 (10:23):
We're doing all that ship. But he talking about too
short and banks on the beat, too short with the teeth, everybody.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Guessing everybody else like this motherfucker, there's ninety three.
Speaker 11 (10:34):
And then to end it, he was like too short,
roll up the reefer and seeing, ain't you lost gore
to the motherfucking piece.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
You even gave him dap, like all right, don't get
the pizza. Here's the bro.
Speaker 11 (10:57):
So Judawn makes this big ass hit called Pimp of
the Year. Loved it, got the remake up. I don't
know what the original beat is with.
Speaker 10 (11:05):
That pump.
Speaker 6 (11:08):
Was just fired.
Speaker 11 (11:10):
So it's our turn. We get the fast forward time.
We start working on our album, which is still ninety three,
and it's our turn to come with it, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 10 (11:20):
So we like, we love Club Nouveau.
Speaker 11 (11:22):
They then did rumors and did everything, but they didn't
do I got the white treat me so bad. So
we're gonna grab the album. We're gonna grab the album
Club Movau album. We bring it to Tone Capone, our
producer at the time. Now he whips it up, you
know what I mean. And I say the hook at
the time, and it was just me talking, you know
what I mean, Me just saying the hook right. There
(11:42):
was no singer on it, and Tone Capone knew Mike
Marshall from the time Next Social Club, who was actually
a part of you know, Club New Vaut before Club
New Vau started, So he took what I said on
the hook and had Mike Marshall sing it.
Speaker 10 (11:57):
No rest is his history.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
Oh so you got that hook first, and they say
when you heard.
Speaker 11 (12:04):
It, saying it like I got five on it, grab
your faux. Oh let's get keyed. I got five and
they were like, ah, had this man sing this ship.
We came back to the studio the next day and
he was just singing.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
I mean, And it's funny because that was the time though,
when you know, especially for me, were do an old
English forties and we're smoking blunts and it was just
a great time. So that's why the hook was so
crucial ninety three, ninety four, and in my opinion even
still to this day when you think of anthems, it's
one of the top anthems by far for cannabis, you know,
weed smokers.
Speaker 11 (12:35):
But we made it in ninety three because we as
influenced not only by Snoop you know what I mean,
but by true Down's hit that goddamn pit for the year,
Like how we gonna come Like that was a huge
ass song. We gotta really come up the back, Yeah,
you know what I mean. So we like, okay, what
what we make? We're gonna make, you know what I mean?
Now this is when Puff is we making all this shit,
(12:56):
you know what I mean? Everything is going down with
the remakes.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Now, you did a lot of touring with Drew two, right,
I mean.
Speaker 10 (13:01):
Didn't you with Puffy and them?
Speaker 11 (13:02):
Yeah, that happened after, So we'd make five on the
ninety three fast Forward and we tuck it.
Speaker 10 (13:08):
We tuck it, you know what I mean.
Speaker 11 (13:09):
And we throw out a little mixtape, you know what
I mean, and we get signed after Drew Down gets
signed to ninety four and then we on version of Records.
We dropped this song five on it two years later
and it still goes. So that was a two year
old song we had since ninety three. Stashed that bitch,
like we know.
Speaker 10 (13:24):
This is it. Yeah, we already had it.
Speaker 6 (13:26):
Yeah, everybody who heard it. He was like, this is
your anthem.
Speaker 10 (13:29):
This is nobody.
Speaker 6 (13:30):
Nobody heard it, but I mean amongst the homies, like
anybody who heard it.
Speaker 10 (13:32):
Yeah, we was like, I put that away.
Speaker 11 (13:34):
Man, we're gonna when we come with the real album
because we just did a mixtape and we started on
our mixtape like, nah, this ain't going on the fucking mixtape.
Speaker 10 (13:40):
Oh this to the side. Yeah, this is this is
him period.
Speaker 11 (13:44):
And we put that motherfucker out into ninety five and
that ship went platinum in one month. The single right yeah,
we is a number one on the Billboard over Michael
Jackson for two weeks, you.
Speaker 10 (13:56):
Know what I mean. Just just Michael Jackson selling people.
Speaker 11 (14:00):
But I know, I said, there was a lot of people,
a lot of the top dogs. Tupac was charting at
that time, from for the All Lives on Me still charting,
Biggie was charting.
Speaker 10 (14:10):
Uh I remember Wu Tang was charging and.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
It was like, who's this group out of Oakland, California,
rushing making all the noise?
Speaker 9 (14:17):
Who are these cats?
Speaker 10 (14:18):
It was number one for three weeks on the billboard.
Took Michael Jackson down. Yeah, I mean period.
Speaker 11 (14:22):
On our first run, nobody knew who the fuck we was. Yeah,
I mean, so for that to happen, it was just
a blessing period because it was the whole album.
Speaker 10 (14:29):
It wasn't the single. The single already did what it did.
Speaker 11 (14:31):
The album dropped a month later on the fourth of
July in ninety five, and that motherfucker it was to
the end of the whole July.
Speaker 10 (14:37):
That ship was number one period.
Speaker 5 (14:39):
Wow, and tell us some places it took you to.
That was crazy because I know when when that ship
went and even still to this day, you guys are
still touring playing it.
Speaker 6 (14:46):
It's still anthems.
Speaker 5 (14:47):
It's like, Okay, we want you here and there, But
where's some place where you're like, damn, Mama, you ain't
gonna believe where I'm at right now, I.
Speaker 11 (14:54):
Say, Oprah Winfrey, show, yeah, show.
Speaker 10 (14:57):
Did she give you a car? You get a car?
You get a car?
Speaker 6 (15:04):
I wish?
Speaker 11 (15:07):
And then how but but shout out Quincy Jones because
that's how we Grammy nominated. We did a song on
Quincy Jones' juke joint. That's like when he be doing
the Back on the Block compilations with all the artists
and ship. So he did a juke joint and he
did a hip hop song called Stump and had me shack,
I mean the looney Shack, Shaquille O'Neill, hell of people
on it.
Speaker 10 (15:26):
Right.
Speaker 11 (15:27):
So Oprah's doing a special on Quincy Jones and he's
he's releasing his juke joint and he has Tamia you
know what I mean, everybody, Tavin Campbell, Uh, everybody that
was you know on on Quincy Jones records. And then
he had the people that was on the album. So
we all performing we flu to Chicago, you know what
I mean, Oprah, She's like giving us the rundown we
(15:49):
had the day before, Like we in the studio where
it's just nobody there. She's in a sweatsuit and the
head back like just regular oprah, no makeup, none of
the ship. So I've seen her just regular in the
sweat soon when I've seen her done up and just
super open, you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (16:03):
So she yeah, hella love, you know what I mean.
Speaker 11 (16:05):
Quincy Jones had hell of love for even bringing us
out there, you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (16:08):
So yeah, shout out to Quincy Jones. Man. But that
was one of the biggest I think, to just go
to Chicago with Quincy and up.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
And it's funny because growing up obviously smoking weed. I mean,
you allegedly move some powder back in the day to
get in the game.
Speaker 10 (16:21):
I guess our deal, I mean you turned the dope
deal into a record deal.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
And it is so funny because there's so many artists
that come up around that. Even still to this day,
these young cats are on these streets that are still
pushing and trying and still rapping and being able to
spit their life and become the next deal. And as
you see these youngsters like that, what do you say
to these cats.
Speaker 11 (16:40):
Turn the negative into a positive like I did, because
that's the same money that you're using a cop You
could pay for studio time, yeah, you know what I mean.
You could pay for your own videos. You can pay
for your own production, your.
Speaker 10 (16:50):
Own album to be done, your own artwork, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 11 (16:53):
Everything and everything's like to push up a button and
you can upload the YouTube, upload the you know what
I mean. iTunes. I mean, if you got the right
proper hook up, everything's at the push of a bun.
You don't even need a record label.
Speaker 10 (17:04):
So if you believe in yourself, put some money up,
you know what I mean. Period.
Speaker 11 (17:08):
The thing about the record label difference from the record
label and I hate this up. Let's break this shit down,
please while we on iHeart, Let's break down the coach
of volture. Yeah, I don't like that the culture, but
don't I don't like me, don't. I don't like I
don't like the term coach of vulture because at the
end of the day, these are people that rolled the dice.
Speaker 10 (17:27):
They didn't know the shit was gonna win. You know
what I mean. These record labels roll the dice every day.
Speaker 11 (17:31):
It's like eighty percent lose, you get twenty percent that
win and really win.
Speaker 10 (17:35):
Eighty percent is a fucking tax right off right, that's true.
Speaker 11 (17:38):
So the ones who really win, they believed in you
when nobody did. They put the money up, They put
the muscle behind you to make you even chart and
go to these all these places, radio everything.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
They got cats working across the country for you.
Speaker 11 (17:49):
So once you blow up, now you mad like, I
ain't making enough money. All I feel that they use
me when actuality. They believed in you first. So to
cut that coach of vulture shit out, won't you start
putting money into yourself first? Yeah, so you don't have
to say, oh they are culture birth, they use me.
I'm still a slave like and.
Speaker 5 (18:07):
Even nowadays more so because these young cats have what
you didn't have growing up.
Speaker 6 (18:12):
They didn't have the Instagram, the YouTube, ship face. We
don't have that.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
I mean, kal Puffs is a major viral example, but
she's getting blocked. But to your yeah, you're still doing
it's still making money doing it.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
And it's funny that that's such.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
A right spit and you know, you know knowledge for
these kids out there going, how could I become like that?
Speaker 10 (18:36):
Well?
Speaker 6 (18:36):
Yeah, so different.
Speaker 10 (18:38):
Now.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
One of the things, one of the things that's super
important to realize is, you know, and I always say
it too, because a lot of people forget who brought
them to the dance, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 10 (18:45):
They forget.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
They forget when you get there, and then and then
you're like, I could dance on my own.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
And then they try to.
Speaker 10 (18:57):
Try to dance on their own and get kicked out
the party.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Right, and then everybody turns and goes damn like it
used to be dope. And then you have a bunch
of people eating you up from all the way down,
and then you end up backing and and you know,
the the what do they say, the crabs and the
lobsters or you know.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
Yeah, because they start.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
Pulling you back down because now all of a sudden,
and then your own people you want to pull them
up to, you know, because when you're doing well, you
want to help, you know, that's your natural instinct is like,
let's help my man, let something. But what you realize
is that they're not even there really to help themselves
all the time, so you got to kind of walk
on them and it just becomes a bad environment. So
and I think it's hard to cross over, realize where
(19:37):
you're at, remember your team even through the good and
bad times and then and then continue pushing through all
the bullshit because I think that's the biggest artist problem,
you know, because artists get to this level and their
minds just go fuck.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
You know what, I'm here, like I don't need them.
Speaker 10 (19:51):
Let's look at what the migos is going through, like
with QC, Like like.
Speaker 11 (19:55):
That's that's heartbreaking because you've seen the work that QC
in these.
Speaker 10 (20:00):
Arts, you know what I mean.
Speaker 11 (20:01):
So at the end of the days, it's about you
putting your own money up so you could not have
no problems.
Speaker 10 (20:08):
Period. Like with my cru To.
Speaker 11 (20:09):
Raging, we got Tech nine, We got everybody in the crew,
but I don't they ain't signed to me.
Speaker 10 (20:14):
You we all individuals. We crew up.
Speaker 11 (20:16):
We bring we like a fraternity, a rap fraternity. Like
we just all bring help each other money to the
table so we all could eat, you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (20:23):
Now, when that money come involved, it fucked people up,
you know what I mean. Period.
Speaker 11 (20:27):
So when you got groups, you know what I mean,
that ain't getting they money that fucks everything up. So
instead of going through that, put up your own fucking money, period,
so you could stop blaming it on the record label.
Speaker 10 (20:39):
Blaming on yourself.
Speaker 9 (20:40):
You're investing period, you're invested in yourself.
Speaker 10 (20:43):
Yourself period.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Well, it's easier to fuck off someone else's money.
Speaker 10 (20:48):
Than you know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (20:50):
You just start life, listen to it. Don't matter if
it's music, if it's like life.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
It could be when you want to move out your house,
it could be when you want to try to grow up,
or then.
Speaker 6 (20:59):
Go do it and guess what use yours on your own.
Speaker 7 (21:03):
I just want to say, like I feel.
Speaker 8 (21:04):
What I noticed the most is people are they think
everything is so.
Speaker 7 (21:08):
Hard because they look at the big picture.
Speaker 8 (21:10):
I want to be this, I want to do this,
this is where I want to be in life, instead
of being like, what's my next step? Because if you
just take one step at a time, you look back
at a year from now, two years from now, you're like,
I took all these baby steps and I'm very very
close to my dream or this goal that I had.
But some people get so spooked by how much work
will go into just being what your goal is. And
my advice is, don't focus on that. Set the goal
(21:32):
and set the baby steps, focus on the next step,
don't look above it.
Speaker 6 (21:34):
And their long nights and early mornings, folks.
Speaker 7 (21:38):
I saw a.
Speaker 8 (21:39):
Tweet the other day that was, like, when you quit
your nine to five to work nine am to three am.
Speaker 9 (21:45):
That's the truth.
Speaker 10 (21:47):
It's like four in the morning last night, record look
up and come do this.
Speaker 14 (21:52):
You slept when your work is what you love though
there's no time, there's no time.
Speaker 9 (22:05):
The best I think it's all mixed together.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Some of the best things that I've ever heard, you
know about business and and this goes with the artists
and giving people hope and thought is that you know,
if you look at the end result and you set
goals and figure out how to get to the end,
then you'll understand the way through the journey.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
You know, you'll understand that journey.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
And then you know, once your mind expands from its
original form, it can never come back. So what I'm
saying is is if you've expanded your thought process to
a certain level, you never can go backwards.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
And if you do, that's because of idiotic.
Speaker 6 (22:36):
Stupid go ahead.
Speaker 10 (22:39):
Yeah, So the.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Mindset, the mindset starts to build, people start to become,
you know, this thing that they didn't believe they could become.
And and sometimes you don't realize that when you're that person,
you know, and so you don't understand the effects you
have on others and how it resonates. But with that
being said, we'll be right back after this break.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Welcome back to cannabis, Chalco one on one.
Speaker 6 (23:07):
That was a good break we got you made it bath.
Speaker 7 (23:12):
I am so sacked.
Speaker 6 (23:14):
I couldn't even Can you give yuck Mouth's teeth back?
Speaker 10 (23:17):
Please?
Speaker 7 (23:20):
Those were mine in the first place. He got them
from me three years ago.
Speaker 6 (23:23):
You go, yuck Mouth.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
Let's talk about the cannabis game. Lord knows you've been
moving this cannabis and doing the.
Speaker 10 (23:29):
I gotta have it.
Speaker 5 (23:29):
Well, well, I didn't mean moving the cannabis like that.
Speaker 6 (23:37):
I'm not talking about that.
Speaker 11 (23:38):
Tyson's not the eighties, late eighties man, the early nineties.
Speaker 10 (23:42):
Not been hung ou out.
Speaker 5 (23:43):
I'm not talking about you on the East fourteenth Martin
Luther King hanging out in front of Flints Barbecue, trying
to push that.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
I tell you, I'm from Dang Why you bullshit?
Speaker 10 (23:54):
That's what I used to grind at Flint's Barbecue. W
e won folk.
Speaker 6 (23:58):
You know Flints by the car.
Speaker 10 (24:00):
Street from the probably bought a sec off.
Speaker 6 (24:04):
Allegedly. I wasn't there trying to give.
Speaker 10 (24:09):
Me some mission. But he described my whole hood.
Speaker 15 (24:13):
You're gonna be by Flips. I was in front of Flips.
You gotta be old Slough Bay to know what I'm
talking about. That you are from there, you know. And
shoutouts to our guy from the bay, from the from
the dispensary cup what was his name again?
Speaker 5 (24:27):
Uh, the other brother that has that dispensary, the butt cars,
Clinton Walker, Clinton Walker, all these other cats and understand that.
But where do you see it now? And I believe
you're pushing a brand now you know that?
Speaker 10 (24:39):
Shout out to my gas coat buddies. You know what
I mean. They gave me a strand called Colado, the
young Mouthlado, you know what I mean. And it's it's nice.
Speaker 11 (24:48):
I mean, it's award winning. We won a couple of awards.
We want Cushdock, the last cushdock they just did. We
want the Blazer's Cup.
Speaker 10 (24:56):
Yeah, I mean so yeah, we got a couple of hands.
Speaker 7 (24:59):
Look at him, smell it.
Speaker 6 (25:00):
We just fire.
Speaker 7 (25:01):
I've been hanging out with you for like two hours?
Are you kidding me? I haven't heard about anything.
Speaker 6 (25:05):
About pulled out your own weed.
Speaker 7 (25:09):
Well, I didn't know.
Speaker 6 (25:10):
How did you hook up with these cats?
Speaker 11 (25:12):
Basically my my buddy right here, man, Pete Kelly the
builder you know Italy grown over there.
Speaker 10 (25:20):
I love it.
Speaker 11 (25:21):
No looking up, that's peak CALLI homies, you know what
I mean. And they was looking for a face to
represent the.
Speaker 10 (25:27):
Brand, you know what I mean. Far as that strand
they already had it. They had just.
Speaker 11 (25:30):
Released it like literally like the first time. What was
that at a cushstock or a high time cush stock.
I think it was at a cush stock when they
had first build.
Speaker 10 (25:40):
No, not the last one.
Speaker 6 (25:42):
Yeah, a few a few more cush I mean a
few years.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
But I remember. So I know I know them boys
really well, you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (25:49):
People, good people, great, grow great great.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Yeah, let's talk about the business. I mean, their business
is good.
Speaker 10 (25:55):
They got to be their seed company.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
Yeah, great grower. His brother he's been going for years.
Speaker 7 (26:00):
Yeah, he's telling.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
It's Goasoline, Joe, It's Gosoline, man.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
This dude will just tell everything. Don't tell them nothing, right.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
So these cats have been growing blue, you know, so
so really, I mean, they're a unique group of individuals
that are locally you know, and and they they run
gas Co. Very smart of them they hooked up with.
I'm saying, I'm guessing it's about about a year and
a half two years ago.
Speaker 10 (26:38):
About three were about working going on three.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Almost some three years now, and I remember it, you
know what I mean, they've been they've been working on
records too, because one of the guys in their wraps
and stuff like that shout out sick with it. But
the team is strong though. They're just a good group
of individual on his business and and they grow like
their quality is putting everybody on the ropes. I mean,
and I say that, you know, proudly, because I've seen
(27:01):
their quality of cannabis and it's freaking amazing.
Speaker 11 (27:06):
It's it's amazing, fucking like, Yo. They remind me of
my dudes from up top. Yeah, because I'm from the
Bay and all them dudes up there about exotics autum
humbo humbo boys up there, yeah man, and the Laytonville
boys up there, yeah, Man, remind me of them, you know.
Speaker 16 (27:22):
Night.
Speaker 11 (27:22):
But but because it's exotic, like la is an og,
I'm on to y'all og.
Speaker 10 (27:27):
So when they got the exodo is going like man.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
It's it's actually for right now, it's funny because the
exotics are starting to take more of an interest to
the community for cannabis. And if you don't know like
exotics or ogs, they're you know, they're just you know,
let's say, purples or different kinds of flavors, and you know,
they're creating different strands, whereas oh Jesus, like a kind
of a unique smell, unique taste, you.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
Know exactly what it is. It's a California thing.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
But right now, I think exotics are like more in everybody.
Speaker 11 (27:57):
Everybody the names, the runts and all the little names
and ship like that, like my ship while I got
behind it because you know, I come from the dank,
you know, the Bay Area, and they had the purple,
the granddaddy purple. So she reminded me just the look
because it was so dark purples black.
Speaker 10 (28:14):
Yeah, it was fucking black. Like I ain't never seen
no weed like this.
Speaker 11 (28:18):
Literally, Like, okay, that ship looked like like a fucking.
Speaker 10 (28:21):
Like have you had the pop tart that has the
purple on the top purple.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Said that you got this fat kid in my eyes
just up like.
Speaker 11 (28:32):
Pop tart with the purple frosting on the I'm like.
Speaker 7 (28:36):
You're licking your lips over them down.
Speaker 10 (28:39):
It looked like you could eat it.
Speaker 11 (28:41):
Oh my god, and just the sparkles in and the turps,
and this ship was just going like diamonds on me too.
So I was like, yeah, this is it. And then
I smoked it and it blew my fucking mind back.
So I'm like, yeah, you know, and then me being
a five on the dude, I gotta have a real
good strand. I can't have no bullshit strand and put
my name behind. So shout out the the gas Cot Brothers,
(29:01):
the boat Seed Bank. Yeah, they are the genetic kings.
Speaker 10 (29:04):
Man. I'm glad I'm with them.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
How did you come up with the name.
Speaker 11 (29:07):
They already had the name, you know, they had the
name that they already had the name. They just put
me attached to it, you know what I mean. They
just needed most of their strands, they already have the name,
you know what I mean. So they got one called
trap a Lot, trap a lotto, trap a lot with
b reals, you know, called uh tonight mack tonight, which
is with Demrick.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah, Derick. Yeah, I'm young d because from back in
the day.
Speaker 10 (29:31):
He was I know, yeah, you was rapping with him
back yeah.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
Yeah, I used to rap with you.
Speaker 10 (29:37):
Before he became his real name Louise.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Once he signed up with B and all that, you know,
he ended up taking off and then then it would
exhibit and touring with But I'm proud of them.
Speaker 10 (29:51):
Man, man, man, he gotta, he gotta.
Speaker 11 (29:53):
He got a crazy strand too, because his strand is
mixed with mine. It's Colido and it's the uh, it's
the it's the cool lot on the Mac the Mac one. Okay,
that's a lot on the Mac one. Yeah, the mix
a lot of on the Max one. So I'm proud.
I'm a proud dad.
Speaker 9 (30:09):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 5 (30:13):
And is it all over California right now? Many dispensaries
are some unique ones only we.
Speaker 11 (30:18):
We we we we We're seed company, so we sell seeds,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (30:23):
So you guys could buy.
Speaker 6 (30:24):
Our seeds where you buy the body.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
Not my problem problem.
Speaker 10 (30:30):
You guys can buy the seeds.
Speaker 9 (30:31):
Yeah, go make it, go grow it.
Speaker 7 (30:33):
Yeah, here you go grow it.
Speaker 6 (30:34):
Great, Go grab your kit and start growing.
Speaker 10 (30:37):
Grab your kids, start growing, man, so we will.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
Can you start growing in here just to show everybody
have like a little grow right here in the corner.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
No, it's funny is at our last. At the first
studio six six studio we had.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
That's how it starts, not recording studio, but the first
cannabis talk one on one studio. We had one plant
growing under a light, you know what I mean, in
a little tent, you.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Know, and and people used to come over and want
to water, Let me water. I don't want to be part.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
Of it, you know.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
It was it became like a thing, you know, and
then the attorney start getting scary, and.
Speaker 9 (31:07):
Well, no, we just tried to be smart about it.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
This could lead you to your other one, that will
lead you to this one. That it could get to
the big one.
Speaker 6 (31:16):
And then you're and there.
Speaker 9 (31:17):
Were three hundred plants a week later.
Speaker 6 (31:19):
Lights looks great, man, let's get it.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
No, so listen, what about let's go into too music.
You know, funnest artist you've ever ever worked with?
Speaker 17 (31:29):
Man, funnest artist ever mac dre mac dreh because.
Speaker 11 (31:40):
He was the funnest person fucking ever. Like he was
the coolest, he was the funnest dude.
Speaker 10 (31:45):
Like it was.
Speaker 11 (31:46):
He was like a young dude that hard like he
was older than me. But he's still the dude that's
buying you know what I mean, dirt bikes and shipped.
You know what I mean, Like you got the swimming pool,
we got the motherfucking the boat, little ship, paintball fighting
and ship, fun of dope kids, ship and this coolest
(32:07):
fuck you like, look out for the whole crew. He
the type of dude that he'll go do a show,
take his whole crew. He's paying for everybody to go.
Speaker 10 (32:13):
And it showed money tapping everybody take care coming.
Speaker 11 (32:17):
So he was like a real family orientated type of
keeping his crew together, looking out for him.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
Why he has a legacy like that, and everybody loves you.
You ain't never heard nobody say one bad thing about
the cat.
Speaker 10 (32:28):
Like he was.
Speaker 11 (32:29):
He was reaching out to everybody, like he had a
Latin division called this Latin where he was just focused
on you know what I mean, Mexican artists and Latin
artists and ship. So he was fucking with everybody, and
he was the funnest motherfucker. You see him ghost riding
the wib.
Speaker 10 (32:42):
Dancing gass, gottles and glasses.
Speaker 11 (32:44):
And ship looking crazy and ship. But it was a
it was a coach. It's called getting stupid. So the
more crazy you look, the more fly you was, you
know what I mean. Here you got the big Grandma shades.
She got four or five bread of hats on different ways,
and ship one glowing one lighting up.
Speaker 10 (33:00):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 11 (33:00):
You got ship on you that's glowing in like low
sticks and you're dancing, you're goofing and you're gigging, and you.
Speaker 10 (33:05):
On top of your car.
Speaker 6 (33:06):
Well, just buttherfucker ride by itself.
Speaker 15 (33:08):
Nobody getting stupid and dumb.
Speaker 10 (33:13):
All the time. It's fun fun.
Speaker 11 (33:16):
And he was like the head the face of that
yeah going stupid, going dumb had a face, it would be.
Speaker 10 (33:22):
Mac dra So yeah, that's the funnest dude. I mean.
Speaker 6 (33:25):
And as you say Mac Dre and yourself.
Speaker 5 (33:27):
You know the Loonies, I think of the forties, the
two shorts, and you know the Bay Area hip hop
that that came from there. It's just funny when people
if they don't know the history and.
Speaker 6 (33:37):
The culture of how much slang, how much streak should
rbl poss I love you.
Speaker 10 (33:45):
Show it them?
Speaker 6 (33:46):
Oh really, oh man, I just all that ship though.
It's like some cats don't even realize where a lot
of the slang and lingo even came from.
Speaker 10 (33:53):
Right right, mac dra had a lot to do with it.
Speaker 11 (33:55):
Three times crazy forty, you know what I mean, Keep
the sneak a lot, keep a lot of it.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Man about d shot, bring it back, d Shot, shut out.
Speaker 11 (34:04):

of dudes.
Speaker 10 (34:14):

could do it, We could do it. So they was
our like o gs, like we looked up to them,
like mc hammer and ship like that. Yeah, Tony, Tony, Tony,
all the big people made it out the bait and
loved and ship like that, like oh Ship.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
I did a couple of records with Rona from and
Rona Bennett. Oh, She's They're just man incredible, They're incredible.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
Their voices they're just like you know, And I mean
when you take incredible to Tony Tony Tony, when you
say that, I just think, I mean, it's just good
music and good vibes.
Speaker 6 (34:47):
And of course Forty with his anthems and all.
Speaker 11 (34:49):

the Rocky Roxy when when we were all hanging out
on the Rainbow Room on Sunset right there, Yeah, we
all just sit there and party a lot there.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
That was you know, our corner, so.
Speaker 11 (35:35):
Like over there four two thousand and five back then, yes,
with when O G first came out.
Speaker 10 (35:42):
Yeah, O G was.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Marv Big Marv and everybody was all right there.
Speaker 10 (35:47):

Speaker 3 (35:47):
So so he came through, so it was kind of
like after the the big.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
Push, but he was doing the show still and having
a good time.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
But he was, you know, having a lot of fun. Yeah,
he was getting a lot of fun. So you know,
you only got part of the show.
Speaker 10 (36:01):
It was like.
Speaker 6 (36:03):
Money you had to fill in for him to jump in.
I'll do the whole song.
Speaker 11 (36:06):
It was just the show like two five when I
got the sex dolls and ship.
Speaker 10 (36:13):
That's the original show. That's literally.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
That's when you can get away with a lot. I
felt like these different concerts and things like that. Even
when I was doing morning show in the Bay Area
and then showed the Dog, we got away with so
much crazy ship that.
Speaker 6 (36:34):
You just can't get away with anymore. But you still well.
I did go to jail.
Speaker 10 (36:40):

Speaker 11 (38:17):
Remember that the shoe box was the first road trade
back in the back in the eighties. So ye had
the shoebox with hell of like the like seeds and everything,
and it just rolled that motherfuck up in the joint
and let us hit it.
Speaker 10 (38:28):
We's out our motherfucking minds.
