Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey guys, and welcome back to another episode of Casual Chaos.
It's been a long time coming. Riley URIs Welcome to
Casual Chaos.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Thank you, happy to be here.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
So we are here in Las Vegas. This is our
second Bravocon together. Yeah, but this is our first Bravo
con on our own show and kind of doing our
own thing.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
So how has it been going so far?
Speaker 4 (00:24):
You know, this is the first day, so still getting
into it. Yeah, but you know, I'm excited. You know,
last time we came like as the kids of and
of course we still are.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
But now it's like.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
When will we grow out of that?
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Probably never.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
I feel like when your parents, like both of our
parents have made such an impact and like so many
different industries that it's like we'll never be able to
ignore that or like put that aside. It's like, you
know what, I'm gonna take it. I'm very appreciative like the.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
Path thanks that we have to follow and not disappoint.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, we'll carve, like we'll carve definitely.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
But we are in the middle of filming the second
season of Next Gen. How is it going for you?
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Uh? This season is definitely I feel like a lot
different than last season. I think, you know, I have
a lot of opinions, and you know, I'm excited to
see where it goes. I think people are really coming
to play this season.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
I will say I just said that in my geod Diaries.
It's like another segment I have on Casual Chaos. But
I was basically like, we are here at Bravo Con,
we are going to the Bravos. We're nominated for this
Rookie Award because Next Gen got five point four million
views for our season premiere.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yeah, and we were all.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Shocked by that. I think we were all underestimating ourselves
season why. We kind of thought it was going.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
To be like not gonna lie exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
We're like, we're just here, just like we don't know
what's going to be.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
But then the fact that we went into season two
now everyone came prepared.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Yeah, I honestly, I think that's a little bit hard
for me. I think, you know, you grew up on TV.
I grew up on TV. So for me, like we
started so young, so we feel like this is just normal,
very normal. I feel like for some people, this is
a new thing and they're like very trying to get
into it and I'm like, honestly, I'm used to just
(02:28):
waking up being like, Okay, my mom's downstairs. There are
cameras around, but I'm this is nothing.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, you know, it's true.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
And that's why I even think Bravo con you know. Yeah,
I think for a lot of our castmates, they're going
to be like whoa, because I think when they walk
into is it at Caesar's tomorrow?
Speaker 3 (02:46):
I don't even know where it is?
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Oh yeah, I think so I where ever it's at.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
But I mean in New York it was at the
Javit Center, so it looks like this huge arena basically, yeah,
and it's almost like you're running through like a maze. Yeah,
going around the back trying to get on stage, like
fans are going crazy. Like I think half of our
castmates have no idea what.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
They're like, Oh yeah, how intense it's going to be.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
I feel like, honestly, this is probably going to be
bigger than the one we first went to, So I'm like,
oh my gosh. Like even when I was going through
the airport earlier, like me a mirror Brooks, like we
kept getting stopped.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
I was like whoa, Like I'm used to just.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Like walking through the airport and just like going home,
and now it's like people know.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Who I am.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
Well, obviously people knew who I was before, but like
in a different way.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Well, it's I feel like we're definitely getting recognized a
lot more now. And it was crazy, like I was
in the airport landing in Vegas with like other Bravo
labs too. Yeah, like I would think would get more
recognized than me, and I was like.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Well, why am I taking so many pictures? It was
like it was weird.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
I saw a few people from Real Housewives at Atlanta
who I saw Portia and then my friend's coming to
her mom is one of the newest cast members of
Real house House of Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Oh fun, Oh you met her the other day, Mari, Oh, okay, yeah,
so I saw her.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
Mom there too. It's like whoa, Like we all were
like on the same flight or something.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
But it's it's cool.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
There's only so many flights to Vegas, right, Yeah, But
what were your initial thoughts when you heard about next year?
Speaker 4 (04:20):
And m I say, you know, Brooks is the one
who kind of created everything, and then he.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Was just asking me.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
He was like, you know, I'm thinking about doing this show,
like he like mentioned you on it and like a
couple other people, and I was like, you know, I
was in my senior year of college, I think, so
at first I was like, Okay, this is just a pilot.
I don't really know if this is going to go anywhere,
but like sure, I love Brooks, like, let me just
do this. And then the cast started forming and I
(04:49):
was like, whoa, this is real. And then we got
approved and it feel like it felt like everything happened
so fast, oh fast, and I was just like kind
of shook, you know.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
But then I was like, I don't know how long
this is gonna last, but I'll write it out like period.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Why not?
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah, we were starting to form this platform.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Why not take advantage of it?
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah, and if you know, if you're okay with being
in the public eye, if we're okay with it within ourselves,
like why not capitalize on it.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
We would be stupid, not too honestly.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
I mean, I mean it's it's like great to do
with your friends too, like people who you were going
to hang out with anyway. It's like okay, yeah, like
now we just have cameras around. This feels normal.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
No, exactly. Did you immediately want to be on the show.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
No, you know, I feel like when you grow up
with cameras around you all the time. At least for me,
I was like, I never want to do reality TV.
I stopped filming when I was in high school because
all the comments and everything was getting to me.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
So I never thought I would.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Do reality But then it just fell into place, you know, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Right place, right time, I guess.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
Literally, it was the perfect timing because I had just
graduated too.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Yeah, so I was like what now.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
It was like, hey, I have nothing else to do,
so why not?
Speaker 4 (06:10):
And I actually signed on, like I committed like a
week after. I think you guys were filming and I
was like, okay, I just graduated, let's have some fun.
You know.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
It was perfect.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
What was your first impression of me when we met?
Speaker 3 (06:29):
You can be honest, we had a.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Little ten shit, It's okay.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
I think we first met.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
I think at Bravo Conna actually, and I remember you
met my friend who you saw her again the other day, Liz,
and it was like me and Brooks were hanging out.
Brits was being like so nice, and then you were
like ignoring me the whole time, and I was.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Like so crazy because I like don't remember no.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Yeah, And I was even like, am I crazy? And
my friend was like, why is she like acting like
you're not even here? I was like I have no clue.
Like we did the little, uh the Spinney picture thing
and at first it was just you and Brooks doing
it and then he was like, oh, like Riley, come on,
come on, and you were like she's doing it with us, and.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
I was like, Riley, I didn't. There's no way I
said that.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yes, no, but you ignored me.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
You didn't say like you didn't talk to me, but
like I was like overhearing you. And I was like, oh,
like should I just stay back? And he was like no,
like come come, come, yeah, and I was like okay.
And then the rest of the night like you just
did not speak to me. I was like, okay, I'm
just gonna stand here to the side really awkwardly. And
I was so grateful, like my friend was there because
I felt like such like in a weird space, I
(07:43):
didn't know what to do. And yeah, but then obviously
we talked about that, we cleared it up.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Yeah, I think Riley and I honestly just like started
on the wrong foot because I mean that what you
just described is like I think you know, it's not
me at all, and I think you just maybe like
I don't know how and I never.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Act like that, so I don't know what drift I
was like giving that night.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I was so confused.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
I was like, wait, I don't even And then it
was funny because then I saw your mom and your
mom had like it was when I was with my mom.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
You were with your mom and she came up. She
was like, oh, like candy and like she was talking
to her and I was like, okay, yeah, she was
like so nice.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
And then I was like, okay, how is like her
mom is like talking to mine like they're like super cool.
And then it's like you're like ignoring me. I was like,
I don't even know what to do right now, Like
let me just like walk away or something.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Well, I again, I'm so sorry that that happened at
Bravo Con. Riley and I did not have a good
Bravo con experience. We did not for the first time.
But now I think, you know, we came to a
really like a much better understanding how like we communicate
with each other and how to understand each other. And
I think it's way better now and I'm excited for
(08:56):
everyone to see that.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Also.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
Yeah, I think we definitely have figured out to communicate
and even if we may take things a different way,
we're like, let me just talk to her, let me
just call her, Yeah, and like let's just make sure
we're on the same page. Maybe I took that the
wrong way definitely, So I'm glad we got to this point.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
No, I am too. It feels great.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah, I mean I hope like now that you know
me now, like you don't think that I'm that same
person anymore.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
I don't. Yeah, I think you're sweet.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Yeah, that's such a big compliment from Riley.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Guys, f y I Riley doesn't like hugs, no, and
she actually gives me hugs now.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Occasionally occasionally, what can viewers expect to see this season
about you?
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Maybe different than last season?
Speaker 4 (09:53):
I think, well, now I'm applying back to school, so
people will see like that process with me, and then
I I think, you know, sometimes I am a little crazy,
but that's okay.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
We all have our.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Moments, but overall, like just continuing to learn myself and
learn all of y'all, you know, and trying to communicate
a lot better.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yeah, I think people are going to see a lot
of growth, honestly, Yeah, because I can't give anything away,
but Maya you've been handling things has been like I
really good.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yeah. I definitely think last season, I yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Into steps in the right direction.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
I mean listen, Yeah, last season, even between you and I,
like I had things.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
That I regretted and I was like, whoa, I.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Need to self reflect right now, and I need to
replay this whole thing and learn how to communicate better
to other people so that like I don't offend anybody
or I don't come off in an offensive way because
that's not like the intention behind it. And sometimes like
things just happen.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
And yeah, I mean, I definitely think this season we
have a lot of better communications with like amongst the
cast in general. Obviously some people don't see we know that,
but I feel like we're way more eager to just
pick up the phone and be like, hey, this made
me feel some kind of way, like let's talk about it.
(11:18):
Let me see your point of view, because maybe we
like had to disconnect, and I think we're all doing
that with each other and like, I feel like we're
all more respectfully of each other.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
No, I agree, And I think honestly that stemmed from
because I mean, at least for me, I really didn't
know anybody that well season one at.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
All, like actually at all.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
The only person I really knew well was Brooks and
then I got to know you, Arianna, and but it
was a learning process for me, for sure, Like for sure.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
Yeah, it definitely was. I think we all kind of
had to figure out new spaces and different personalities, and
now that we know each other, I feel like it's
a bit different. It's a bit more like we're all
a little bit more aware.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Definitely.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
How has growing up on reality TV affected your confidence?
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Honestly, I think it helped.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
I think at first I went kind of down hill
because I was like, oh, like these comments are really
hurting my self esteem.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
It's make me feel really sad. But then I was like, when.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
You're getting all that at like thirteen, fourteen years old,
you're gonna be like, you know what, I've heard literally
every like name in the.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Book everything under the Sun.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Now I don't give a fuck.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Yeah, It's like I'm like, actually, you could literally not
say anything to really like like now I just laughed
because it's like, okay, I heard that before. Yeah, Like
people will talk about your looks, your body, your mental state,
like they'll say everything that they don't even know, and
so now I'm just like, you know what, Okay, period.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
That's your opinion.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Do you think that having your mom film on reality
TV so much affected your relationship with her.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
In some parts? I think the main thing is.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
I always say there are some things that parents and
kids should not know about each other, and so I
tried not to watch the show. But of course, like
I would go to school and someone'd be like, oh,
like I saw this and I saw that, and I'm like,
oh my god, why do you know all this stuff
about my mom?
Speaker 1 (13:38):
And you're like a bathtub scene or anything like embarrassing.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
I'm on a bathtub scene with my dad.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Really horrible scarring.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
It's like like naked in the bathtub. Really no, yeah,
scaring scarring.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
No, Thankfully I never saw that. But like I've seen
her like in Lingerie on TV. I've seen her and
my grandma getting into like altercations on TV, and I'm like,
this isn't the mom I know My mom was very cool, calm, collected,
and I see her like about to go out, So
(14:13):
it's kind of funny. But also I'm like, I wish
like my friends didn't see it. And then I think
everyone knows my mom is a little not Peach thirteen?
Speaker 3 (14:22):
So was her parenting ever different off camera? Or Candy
was just Candy?
Speaker 4 (14:28):
She's just herself, Like literally, she's herself. I will say,
like she literally what you see is what you get.
She will talk to me super bluntly. She will say everything,
and I'm like, mom, please, like I don't want to
talk about these things with you, like.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
My mother too.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
I think that's why, like they're ogs like my mom
and your mom, and that's why they're so iconic because
like when they joined Housewives, like they were their authentic
self exactly, like there was no sugarcoating it, like that
they were them and.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
That was it.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, and yeah, I learned a lot about my mom.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Wait, what is your mom's birthday?
Speaker 2 (15:04):
May seventeen? She's a tourist.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Wait, that's why my mom and your mom love each
other so much? Eighteen.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
My mom loves being like she's like, oh, you're a tourist.
See I knew I liked you.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Yeah, how's your mom given you any advice about being
on reality TV?
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Honestly, no, People always assume that like she's my mind,
gave opinions. I'm like her main thing is she always
wants me to have a learning lesson, like in a
good way. But she'll be like, you know what, like
I'll tell you just be yourself. So even if you
do something you know that was you, it wasn't like
for the cameras.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
So I just say what I want. Clearly that's gotten
me in trouble.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
But I say what I want, I do what I feel,
and yeah that's what I learned.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
The way that people see your mom on TV, do
you feel like that has been pushed on you?
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Noctly, I feel like a lot of people view me
like completely different than her, because I think my close
friends know that I am not really an introvert, Like
I'm actually really talkative.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
I talk a little bit too much.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
But like I think people view us as like, Okay,
Rolly's gonna be quiet, She's gonna be like, you know,
like super chill like my mom, but like in a
different way. Yeah, but yeah, sometimes I get a little
crazy like her too.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
I think we all got a little spice in us.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Yeah, is there anyone specific that you go to about
advice whenever like fake news or rumors come out, Like
who's like your go to?
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Honestly, I think obviously my mom, but sometimes I want
to have like she's such a solution based person that
I can't call her and like ask her for like
any advice without her like immediately going into action.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
But I really like.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Talking to my friend Liz, who you've met. She she's
just very aware and she she can like I'll tell
her like, look at this, tell me if this is
like bad, tell me if I should even give it
the time of day, and then she'll be like, oh,
like it's fine, like you got this, don't even worry
(17:15):
about it. But then she'll also give me like real advice,
like without like sugarcoating anything. And also my best friend Promise,
who I've known since I was in sixth grade. Yeah,
so my friend Promised. She's my best friend and she
will always keep it real with me. But also she
really caters to my like feelings and emotions, so I
(17:37):
love calling them both.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
And then also my man, so of course, yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Okay, give the listeners the tea. So you kind of
just did Are you dating anyone right now?
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Yeah? It kills me that, like our boyfriends have the
same name.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
I'm like, I'm always like not Christian, Christian different.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
But yeah, so yeah, as much as I feel like
you're whenever your Christian comes out, and I feel like
he gives like introvert vibes, I feel like he's so
not at the.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
Same time, but like around like at least like in.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Like the public settings that were in at least like
when I got events and stuff. He's like, yeah, he
just seems like, you know, to himself and just like
mindsets own business.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
I mean, I think he's just the kind of person
where like he lets me. You know, some guys don't
let you be the main characters shine. Yeah, this is
her world. It's like you should you should have main.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Character energy exactly basically what you were also just saying
about your friend promise. I think that kind of like
relates back to you and I a little bit, because
I think, you know, last year when we were kind
of going through our stuff, I was trying to keep
it real with you, but I think I didn't know
how to in the right way. That was respect that
was respectful of like your boundaries, and like now we
(18:54):
learned how to like communicate with each other and really
like come to a resolution.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
And I'm excited for people to see that.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
I think we definitely have gotten a lot of growth recently,
and I feel like, you know, now there's no tension.
I think, you know, when we sat down at Ariana's
what like earlier this year, I think that conversation was
definitely needed. Yeah, for sure, because all the tension that
we had before.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
It taught me a lot.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
I think I explained to you like things about my personality,
things that I genuinely like didn't know and I want
to know.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
So yeah, I think we're all learning each other right now.
And like one thing I said, I think I said
this to Brooks, but I was like, it's kind of hard,
like we're all like in our twenties learning ourselves, but
we also have to learn each other, and it's like
we're all growing every single day.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
So it's like we need to.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
Give each other like some slack sometimes because sometimes I
don't even know what hurts my feelings until it does.
So it's like, how do we set up these boundaries
while evolving, growing and respecting each other exactly.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
But I think we're all on the right path.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
I think we all are like really learning each other
and like trying to like really take care of each
other's feelings.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
No, we are, yeah, for sure and like it just
it also comes with age, Like no, Bravocon New York,
I want to say I was either nineteen or twenty
nineteen or twenty year old Gia is so different than
twenty four year old Gias did I.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Yeah, me too. I'm happy you're getting.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
To know this version of me, and I'm happy I'm
getting to know you. But Riley, thank you so much
for coming on Casual Chaos and let's have fun at Bravocon.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Yeah period, first Havocon with.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Our own show.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Yeah, let's win these awards.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Rockie of the Year,
