Crime al Art hourly update, breaking crime news. Now I'm
Nicole Parton. Nearly three decades after the civil judgment against O. J. Simpson,
his estate is finally taking steps to pay Fred Goldman,
father of Ron Goldman, who was killed alongside Nicole Brown
Simpson in nineteen ninety four. For more, here's crime Stori's

Speaker 2 (00:21):
More than thirty one years after Simpson is found liable
for the deaths of Nicole and Ron, Simpson's estate finally
agrees to pay damages to Goldman's family. Simpson's estate has
agreed to pay Ron's father, Fred fifty eight million dollars
plus interest. It's unclear what spurred the change of heart,
executor Malcolm Laverne previously swearing to never pay Goldman a dollar.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
The figure includes the original figment from nineteen ninety seven
plus thirty years of interest. Simpson was acquitted of murder
what became known as the Trial of the Century, but
later found liable in civil court. Most of that judgment
went unpaid during Simpson's lifetime. He died in April twenty
twenty four at age seventy six. Laverne says the estate

(01:05):
will pay what it can by auctioning Simpson's possessions. Though
some items have been stolen, he claims he's working with
his attorneys to recover those and plans to ask the
court to approve an administrative fee for Goldman, who's helped
manage the estate's affairs. Other creditor claims, most have been rejected.
The estate will prioritize Goldman and the irs, which is

(01:28):
owed federal taxes. A separate claim from California over six
hundred thousand dollars will require legal action if the state
wants to collect Fred Goldman has longtime said pursuing Simpson
in civil court was the only way to seek justice
for his son. For an end up look into the O. J.
Simpson case, tuned into Crime Stories tonight as Nancy and

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
