Speaker 1 (00:00):
Crime Alard hourly update, breaking crime news Now. I'm Sidney Sumner, Florida.
Prosecutors alleged that a thirteen year old boy who killed
his mother in twenty twenty three was inspired by the
Friday the Thirteenth horror franchise. Derek Rosa is charged with
fatally stabbing his mother forty six times as she slept
near her newborn daughter and they're highly a home. Rosa

(00:22):
is set to stand trial early next year, and prosecutors
are seeking to have various materials submitted, including evidence that
Rosa told friends he was going to be Jason Vorhees
for Halloween. Rosa reportedly told his friends, I'm doing Jason.
Prosecutors also claimed Rosa intentionally killed his mother an hour
before Friday, October thirteenth, twenty twenty three, or Friday the thirteenth.

(00:45):
Rosa conducted various online searches hours before the slaying, including
where is the best place to stab someone? Is a
small knife good for killing the carotid artery? And cannon
knife cut through bone. Additionally, Rosa allegedly shared foot of
an army veteran's twenty twenty suicide with his friends and
girlfriend before and on the day of his mother's murder,

(01:06):
Rosa laughed and described the graphic video as funny. Prosecutors
said the newest batch of evidence highlights Rosa's morbid fascination
with blood, death, and gore. After the slaying, Rosa told
investigators how he woke up, got a kitchen knife, and
repeatedly stabbed his mother. He also sent a friend two
photos of his mother and a selfie which showed blood

(01:26):
on his hands. The team told a nine to one
to one dispatcher that he sent pictures of his dead
mother to someone he met online. He went on to
tell the dispatcher, there was blood all over the floor.
I took picture and I told my friend about it.
Was that bad? Do you talk old about it? My friend?
Your friends? That you sent pictures to your friends? So

(01:47):
what you did? Yeah? I didn't really the pictures off
my phone, but I sent him to him and I
told him I was sorry. And then let's go by.
I need to know if your mom's age breathing? Keep
dead man right all over the floor? Okay, why did
you kill your mom? I need to know. Do you
think we can help your mom? Let's seat that over here.

(02:12):
What I knew Rosa's charge as an adult with first
degree murder. A hearing for the latest motion is scheduled
for later this month. A Michigan man whose three sons
vanished in twenty ten was charged with their murders. On Wednesday,
John Skelton was charged in Lenawee County with three counts
of homicide, open murder, and tambering with evidence. Skelton has

(02:32):
been jailed since twenty eleven for kidnapping his three sons, Andrew, Alexander,
and Tanner, and his release was scheduled for November twenty ninth.
In March, the missing boy's mother, Tanya Zuvers, was granted
a petition to have them declared legally dead. However, the
judge ruled there was insufficient evidence proving they were murdered
honor about November twenty six, twenty ten, or that their

(02:54):
father killed them. Zuvers had sole custody of the boys
as she and Skelton were in the middle of a divorce.
They had spent the holiday with their father and their
mother was to pick them up the next day. John
Skelton told investigators multiple stories about the boy's disappearance, including
claiming he gave them to an organization to protect them
from their mother, who he said was abusive, claims she denied.

(03:16):
FBI special agent Corey Burra said Skelton searched online about
how to break a neck, potassium cyanide, and rat poison
the same month his sons disappeared. The FBI agent also
alleged that Skelton addressed Zuvers in a suicide note, stating
you will hate me. Burah said he believed the note
implied that he had killed their sons. Skelton appeared virtually

(03:38):
at March's hearing to declare his sons legally dead. He
did not provide any information about their whereabouts. Quote, I'm
at a disadvantage. Anything I say isn't going to make
a difference. More crime and justice news after this. A
convicted rapist and his girlfriend were sentenced Thursday after they
pleaded guilty to a murder for higher plot against the

(03:59):
prosecutor and judge in his rape case. Alexander Kais was
sentenced in May twenty twenty four to thirty five years
in prison for the rape conviction. On Thursday, he got
an additional five to fifteen years in prison for two
counts of conspiracy. His girlfriend, Aldia Gator pleaded guilty to
the same charges and was sentenced to two to six
years in prison. Kais and Gator made their plans and

(04:22):
jailhouse phone calls after Kais's conviction for the twenty twenty
two kidnapping and rape of a high school senior. He
held prisoner for two days. Court documents said that the
pair provided descriptions of their intended victims, along with details
about where they lived and worked. Their hitman turned out
to be an undercover agent with the New York State Police.
Orders of protection were issued Thursday for the two intended

(04:44):
victims of the plot. Police in Ohio are searching for
a sixteen year old girl who has not been seen
since Sunday. According to the Pickens County Sheriff's Office, Rayina
Haddis disappeared on November ninth from the Buckeye Trails community
of Lockbourn. J drawser, captain of investigations with the Sheriff's office,
says authorities have crossed every avenue that they can and

(05:06):
have not been able to locate Reyina. Strauser said that
Reyina has ties to Springfield and could possibly be in
the area. Reyina's last known snapchat ping indicated she had
been near the Smoke Cut in Circleville at around six
fifteen pm on November ninth. Employees reviewed security footage and
reportedly said she never entered the store. Raina is described

(05:27):
as a white female, standing five feet five inches tall,
weighing between one hundred and fifteen and one hundred and
twenty pounds. She wears glasses and has green eyes and
black hair. She goes last seen wearing jeans with a
black belt, a black jacket, dark purple gloves, and black shoes.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact
the Pickens County Sheriff's Office at seven four zero four

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
