Speaker 1 (00:16):
Our guest is ready to join Parked A and and
ay for extra and so well.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
I'm glad he's here. He has been a friend of
mine for gosh, I don't know, twenty five years or so,
a very long time. I was able to spend some
time with him this weekend. Please join me in welcoming
the Blue Meanie hey thanking his eyes up here debut today.
Are you my friend?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Excellent? Thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I've been trying to get you now for like seventy
two years. But you know, Blue guy's very busy.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
He's a bucket list guest for the show we've been
We've definitely had him at the top of that list.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I am checking off my bucket list. First thing, I
want to say, happy belated. I reached out on your birthday,
but uh, he had a birthday a couple of days ago. Yes, yes,
And we're not going to disclose our age unless you
you would like to.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
No, no, no, see.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
I tell everybody I'm fifty and I love it and
I kick and not show me in a shake.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
But you know, well there's a there's a great stay
saying you're young once, but you can be immature forever.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
So I've taken that route.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, and I know that because I've traveled with you
up and down the road.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Before we get into you know, backstories and whatnot. We
were together this past weekend. We're starting to show hot
with you. We didn't really We do like recaps and
we talk a little bit, but we didn't get to
today because we started right at noon. Medi and I
were uh working for Captain's Corner or a friend Nick

(01:55):
and Dave Cash was with us, kid Cash, and it
was a little mini re union and we had such
a good time, don't you think.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Hey, it's always great when we can get together and reminisce,
so to speak.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
It's just like the cool thing about our crew.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
It's no matter how far apart, we how long it's
been since we seen each other last time, we just
pick up right where we left off.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
It's true, because now I had not seen you. I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
I can't even remember in the time you.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
And Tracy came to our house for dinner that might
have been, and that was years ago. Yeah, but he
talks to my husband more than he talks to me.
I fended they had this little man group. You know,
I'm private to it. Because I get shown some of
the conversations once in a while. If they're funny, he
pops me with them.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
And you know, but we're kids of the eighties and
a lot of our eighties humor, eighties knowledge.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
And stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
And yeah, we have another we had another mutual friend
within there. I'll protect him so if he's innocent, but
he's married and has a family.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Now, so I know, I know who you're talking about either,
But he's another guy that was part of that.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
I mean, he wasn't a wrestler, but like a lot
of the boys, and he said I'd be considered one
of the boys. So it's just me and him have
this saying, man, if this was nineteen ninety six, you know, And.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
I'll just leave it at that.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
But you know, uh yeah, we we just yeah, it's
crazy how I talked to your better half more to
more than you.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I'm like, really, hello, But it's okay because we've kept
in touch. It's not like we don't speak, you know.
But it's just the boys club is running rampant, and
it's fine because, like I said, some of these, some
of these memes and jokes, I am prevy too, and
I shake my head, but I pop at the same time,
so I get it.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
It's all good. So what should we talk about today?
I feel like everybody.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
How'd you get into the I mean, how many how
many things have you done? How many interviews have you done?
That you oh, it's.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Always uh yeah, I don't want to talk about that.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
I want to talk about an autopilot.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Tell that story, you know, I'll just have out now
if that's what's gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
No, I don't listen.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I don't want to talk about that. But I know
you're sick of talking about this one. But a lot
of my listeners might not know about it. So I'm
gonna have to bring it up. And please don't be
mad at me.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Your family so you can talk about anything.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Well, isn't that great? Uh, We're gonna have to discuss
jbl and and we we talked about this over the
weekend and it's like, oh, not again. But a lot
of people don't know how that came about. People still
ask me, and I'm just like, you know, I was
there that night, but I don't know, yeah, because I

(04:56):
really don't. I was there. I watched it from the
because I was part of that show. Too in a nutshell.
You don't have to go into logistics and details. But
what brought that on that evening? Because we are okay,
so backstory that I'm talking about the two thousand and
five ECW One Night Stand pay per view. Okay, I

(05:18):
traveled with you. We all went to New Jersey. We
all got into a van that looked like, uh it
could uh you know, transport illegal aliens over the border
and all this the shadiness and there was like ten
of us in this van.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
We're going to the paper view. I was a surprise.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
So Joey Styles literally put a jacket over my head
and drug me into the building without anybody saying me
but Minia Company, we were all there. Tell us what
happened that night? Did you when you went into the building.
Was there a confrontation beforehand? Was there a heat? Did
anybody like steoge anything off to you? Did you know anything?

(06:01):
What happened?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Well, it goes back to my first run in WW.
I went into WW in ninety eight, November ninety eight,
and forever reason, you know, and again it's it's hard
to nail down to one specific incident, you know, but

(06:23):
forever reason Jbil now in full disclosure. Now me and
John are cool so and people like to use that
uh oh, JB I'll be I was like, yeah, we're friends.
We made up over this so forever reason there's always
like some kind of like remark or you know, when
we're working in the ring, I thought I felt he

(06:44):
was taking liberties.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
In the ring.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
And you know, once I left WWE and I was fired,
I was like, I had a great time. But I
said an interview with Mike Johnson or Chris Wardward buck Wardward,
I said I had a great time at WWE, but
JBL was a bully and that's basically all I said.
And then you know, it kept coming up. I said, yeah,

(07:10):
he bowled me. You know, he's a bully.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
And you know how excuse me.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
You're not the first to say this about him. There
have been several stories out there.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
I might have been the first at that time to
publicly Oh okay, okay.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
This was in two thousand. When I said it, they
released me.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
So I think it's a case of you know how
the telephone game works, where what I say this and
by time it gets to John, people have embellished and
oh man, wait till Minie you know, you hear what
Minie said about you, you know, and uh, you know

(07:49):
I had seen him over.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
The years, like I had stopped by a w W show.
Everything was cool.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
And then that day when I stand, everything was fine,
Hey John, Hey, hey me.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
And then the skirmish at the end.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
We rehearsed at we we did a whole rehearsal everything,
and you know, we're all squaring off and hey you
and I'm going to beat you up and you know
whatever you say.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Right, And uh I had made a plan.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Uh one of the fashion brothers on on on the
other side, and I was like, hey, let's just square off.
You know, who knows if we're ever going to see
you know, I'm buddies with him. I was like, who
knows if we're going to see each other again. Let's
just square off and do whatever.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Have a good time, right.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Yeah, So the.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Skirmish breaks out and uh, we're going back and forth
and all of a sudden, two nights before at the
Forever Hardcore or Hardcore homecomings, Yeah, saman busts be open,
uh with a ladder or a chair, and I had
staples in the back of my head and uh, I'm

(08:59):
but flash forward to one.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
I stand I'm brawling with.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
On the bashom I think Danny Bashim and then all
of a sudden, there's a punch right in the back
of my head on top of the staples. So if
you watch the food, you see me grab my hand,
go son of a bitch.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
I turn around.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
It's John and we just you know, he does the hockey.
We start having a hockey fight, you know. He just
pulls my shirt over my face and I start swinging
back and.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
You can't see at this point because your face is covered.
But when you know, we all went over our stuff
because they make you walk through everything there ridiculous. So
when you went over this, Uh, did he say I'm
gonna come from behind at any point and try.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
To square off with nothing? Okay, Okay, no.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
I think you know.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Uh, there's one point where I think I said something
about his cowboy hat and he just looked at.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
Me, and I was like, ah shit, I should have
said that. I probably shouldn't say anything about his cowboy hatter.
So I don't know. And the ring, Huh, you were.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
In the ring and it wasn't like it was a
shoot like you.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
So it's like we're working you know, right right right
right kick your ass. But you know, you know it's
a work, so you know, he hits to be in
the back of the head and we're we're fighting, and
I powder off and I grabbed somebody and uh bo
bo and then like guys are coming up to me.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Tracy Smothers walks.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Up to me because I'm I'm, I'm I'm bleeding, so
uh okay. And then while walks up to me, looks
at me. Everybody's looking at me like they thought I
got collar. I was like no, he shot on me,
and Tracy Smothers went over and uh, if you watch,
sam Man puts his cane around him and Tracy Smothers
has well still.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
In the ring.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
While while it's still going on, and you see Bubba
pull the Mountain Whisper or something and tells him to
uh skidaddle okay, And we get to the back and uh,
I'm you know, we're doing a there's still like a
couple of minutes where they have Bischoff in there with
Stone Cold and they're beating up Bischoff and you see

(11:07):
I you know, they bring in beers for Steve. Also,
I grab a beer and put it right on my
face like a state. I'm just like I got one.
I'm double fisted. I got one on my face when
I'm drinking one. Yeah, there's a photo that's floating around
the internet.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
You know.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
I'm all getmicked up, and I got the beer in
my hand. And so we get to the back and
Johnny As is like, who told you you can gig?

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Who told you?

Speaker 5 (11:30):
It's like, are you even watching what's going on?

Speaker 3 (11:33):
I was like, uh no.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
He shot on me and went what and uh I
was like yeah, I gave him the cliff notes like
right there. I was like, well forever is he doesn't
like me? This goes back to my Oh it's inexcusable,
blah blah blah. So we uh, you know, I we
go further down the hallway to where Gorilla was, where

(11:55):
Vince was, and uh there's John and he's you said
stuff about me on the inner Then I was like,
I'm like, dude, I just I'll get you is throw
my hands and go dude whatever.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
You know.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
So they take me downstairs and I get stitched up,
and h they have Heavener find me and he doubles.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
My pay for the night, and well, yeah, he's like,
oh here, okay, kills.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Me off a couple and then on the ride home
I later found out because we're all riding home together,
uh my own on Finnegan said they were going to
take me straight to the hospital.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Well they were, yeah, they were. And if you remember,
we stopped off at like I don't know if it
was a Roy Rogers or was it Wendy's.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Yeah, there's just like this little truck stop.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Yeah, we said it was a little sign, little thing,
And I remember holding ice on your face. We're like,
can we have bags of ice please? Because you were
so swollen your face. You look like you had gotten
bit by like forty two beats. That's what it reminds.
You're honestly, your eyes were swung your face. My heart

(13:05):
was broken, and I just remember sitting next to you
and I'm holding I was holding the ice on your face,
and you just had your head down the whole time,
and I was just like, oh my god, like.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
This is this is beyond a shoot.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Like I've never seen anybody like I don't mean to
keep emphasizing it, but I have never seen anybody shoot
on somebody like that. You didn't even you didn't even
cause a stink about it. You just took it like
a man and just was like, well whatever. And I

(13:43):
mean they I don't consider it stooging what you did,
because they asked you what happened. You were telling the truth.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Yeah, you know, so I don't think you steal this.
I'm a better gigger than that, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Just yeah, you were. He was a mess, guys.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
I remember watching it live, Oh my god, because you're
watching it and you're like, wait, what what's going on
over there? Because you see JBL's wild arm, just like
kind of fly out of nowhere. I remember watching it
lot being like, holy shit, that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
He's doing this and I'm throwing my rights, you know.
And if you watch the SmackDown, because they did a
SmackDown like in the next day or two, he's got
like makeup under you got hey, a little rabbit and
a little mouse bruise under his eye.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Little mouse bruise while me and he's walking dead over here. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
It was terrible.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
I looked like a garbage pail kid.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Uh there's no fishbones around your trash cans. But you
you weren't really really bad cheape my I mean, I
felt so bad for you that night, and all I
can do I kept saying, are you okay? Are you okay?

Speaker 5 (14:47):
And I remember just holding ice on your face in
the van.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Yeah, and much of that ride home.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yeah, you were very somber. I will tell you you
had your head down and we were just like, do
you do you want to go anywhere?

Speaker 5 (15:00):
Do you need anything?

Speaker 2 (15:01):
But I just remember I told the lady at Wendy's,
I need a big bag of ice, and they gave us.
They gave us ice because he was He's a mess,
and I have never seen anything like that in my life.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
The funny thing is we're walking back to the van
from Manhattan Center and uh, I see Paul and I apologize.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
I'm sorry. Oh He's like, what are you talking about.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
He's like, he's like he took his best shot and
he couldn't knock you out, So what do you apologize
it for?

Speaker 2 (15:32):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
I was like, sorry, I ruined your black panther party.
And I was just like, apologize and for something it wasn't.

Speaker 5 (15:43):
You didn't have to apologize.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
But that's your nature, that's the way you are, your
your I know I do it too. I do it too.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
And I remember apologizing to Vince, and he goes stop saying.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Sorry, and I go, okay, so sorry, and he's like.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
Sorry I was.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
I was like, like you said, somber and I got home,
I went to bed. I woke up, and I didn't
really get fired up until the next day. And I
walked downstairs and my mom saw my face and the
way she reacted, My mom reacted sent me the fuck off.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
Sure, sure, I don't know, can we swear?

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Yeah, yeah, you could swear so And that's when I
just started writing blogs about it, and I posted the photo.
I sent the photo to you know, I posted a
photo on my bluemeni dot com when I owned that
back in the.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Day, and everybody picked up on it.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
And then I started writing blogs about it and how
I was angry about it and yeah yeah. And then
a couple of months later, uh, dreamer. Well in the meantime,
like when we had gone to One Night's Stand that
day Nova I said he was pitching like a mini

(16:58):
BW reunion WW because Stevie was going from Velocity to
SmackDown Smackdowns Blue and White Colors bw's the Blue White Colors. Yea,
So a couple months after the maybe a month or
two after one night stand, Uh, Tommy Dreamer calls. He goes, meanie, uh,
we want to bring you out to uh Sacramento. This

(17:21):
has nothing to do with jbl blah blah blah. I'm
like thinking that it's Nova doing the BW thing. I
get there, get to the building and Johnny As goes, yeah,
you work at John jbl to.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
I went, great, you lied to me.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
First of all, anybody who ever comes on this show
and has a Dreamer story always does this voice inevitable. Yeah,
but why would Tommy? Why would why did Tommy do that?

Speaker 5 (17:48):
Did you?

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Did you call him on it? Well?

Speaker 4 (17:51):
No, no, I disfigured. They told him to tell me something.
And then they you know, plants. He's like, yeah, you're working,
uh jbl you're hitting the moon salt. When in one,
two three, I was like, does John know this?

Speaker 3 (18:09):
Yeah? He's like, oh, yeah, he loves it. What's great?
Blah blah blah.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
And I'm standing there and I'm just like, this feels
like a setup, you know, I'm just standing there like
and to his credit, Triple H comes over to me.
He goes, meanie, you look worried. I was like well, yeah,
this is what's going on, and he goes, wait one minute,
he walks away, comes back, come with me, and he

(18:36):
takes me into Vince's office, and you know, I walk
in and Vince is having a steak and he's watching
like the sizzle reel for Hogan Those Best which is
like showhat an air yet, but he's watching like dailies
or whatever and stuff.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Ah meanie, go sit on the couch, you know.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
So I go sitting his couch and like it's this
is in Sacramento, July fourth, two thousand and five, sitting
on his couch and then uh, Johnny Ace Triple h
Fnce come in and we have a heart to heart talk.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
I was like, hey man, this is what happened. Blah
blah blah. This is how I feel. It feels kind
of like the inside.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
He's like, well, I assure you mean that if John
does the same thing again, he will be fired.

Speaker 6 (19:29):
All right, Oh all right, okay, and don't have a
roller quarters by the way, yeah, uh uh.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
I'm standing there.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
And then John comes in and I just you know,
you feel the tension and it's kind of like his
his cowboy has like the dorsal fin and jaws, you know, and.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
I'm standing there.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
I'm just bracing because I still don't feel comfortable and
you haven't.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
There's no there's no interactions from one night stand to
this night between you two.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Now other than yelling at each other in gorilla position.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
That's it, okay.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
And so eventually a little bit he comes up, I
feel tap of my should. He goes, you want to
go talk, and it's John. I'm like, all right, so, uh,
you know you've been to TVs. There's signs everywhere, yes, seamstress,
Vince's office, Uh, Richie from Magic Catering, this, that and

(20:35):
the other thing. As we're walking further and further down
the hall, I'm seeing less and less signs. I'm like, man,
if we go to a room, and if we go
into a room and there's plastic on the floor, I'm
fucking running. And I'm I don't want to be like
Joe Petty and Goodfellas, you know, when he thinks he's
about to be made.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
And takes one back of the head.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Jesus.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
So we go in a room. John shuts the door,
locks it. I'm like, huhhh he locks it.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Oh well, I think you I don't know, maybe I'm
being because we could talk or we can fight. I
was like, God, damn John, Uh, I don't want to fight. Yeah,
I never wanted to fight you guys, Like, as a
matter of fact, I was one of your biggest fans
before coming to here in ninety eight because I legit
loved his work. Yeah, remind me of Stan Hansen and
all this stuff. And uh, I said, hey, man, this

(21:23):
is what happened. You know when I was here, I
listed everything boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom boom.
He's like, well, you know, uh, yes, I don't remember that.
Blah blah blah. He's like, look, let's go out there,
you know. And he apologized most importantly apologized, and you know,
let's go out there and make some money. I was
that all right, and uh you know, you know, time

(21:47):
flies by, and uh I'm on Twitter and all of
a sudden, somebody goes from ice to seeing he or
is jbl Final following the Blue MENI on Twitter and
he goes, I love me, and he so, uh.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
And there you go.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
Well yeah, but yeah, since then, you know, John's apologized. Yeah,
he almost got me into the Royal Rumble in Philly.
I had just done you said, I'll be on Release
Fine three for WW with Steve Richards and Joey South.
I was like, He's like, what better way to promote
the DVD than the have you come out in Philly

(22:19):
and say the.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Host of.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
I don't care Bushwhacker me, I'll walk in shit came
into out the other side and I'll be good. Yeah,
he almost got me in. It's down to me and Bubba,
and they chose Bubba, which is cool, you know, but
he made the effort and he's done a lot of
other cool things for me to help me. So you know,
It's the sad thing is people when it comes to something,

(22:43):
you know, something like that. It was an ugly incident,
and people remember the initial headline. They never they never
read the fine print or the retraction. When you know,
people will you know, make amends and stuff like that.
So me and him have been like for the last
since two thousand and five, been like, no, we're good.

Speaker 5 (23:02):
Now, right right.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
I was just on his podcast and people are still going,
what about that JBL thing?

Speaker 3 (23:09):
I just sent him the link.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Well that's why I wanted you to talk about it again,
because you know, my listeners mightn't know the story, and
because I had you, it's it's interesting to me. One
of the things I remember going around when you went
back and worked for WWE, people were saying they, now,

(23:32):
this is just speculation and I don't know if there's
any truth to it. One of the rumors going around
was that they had you back there so you wouldn't
sue them.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Yeah, that was never talking. Well, here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
After the one I stand thing happened, I went through
like behind the scenes, real life shit where I had
people coming at me from all sides. I had people going, man,
you should really sue, to the people going what a
pussy you know, and I all I did was to
say I was wrong. You know, there's some well known

(24:07):
people saying yeah, you could probably sue, and then people
from other companies reaching out to me saying, ah, you
should sue. I'm like, yeah, you want me to sue,
don't you. But then you know, people are like, oh,
have you ever worked stiff?

Speaker 3 (24:20):
And I'm like, block, that was work. I was like,
it wasn't a work.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
But like I went through a lot of shit personally,
people who thought I was being a baby about something
about being wrong and then the other people who wanted
me to sue. But you know, you know, if we're
going to you know, be real about it, h in hindsight,
you know, looking at through my I'll say my age,

(24:45):
my forty nine year old eyes.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
There's your age.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Yeah, there's my age. I could block it if you
want to bleep, So just through my forty nine year
old eyes.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
The whole one night stand thing might have been the
best thing that happened to me in a way because
because uh, I got you know, released from WWE. Around
that time, a grandma had passed away. We were at
Hammerstein for one of those double shots. My grandma passed away,

(25:20):
and then I was in a relationship and that kind
of went awry, right right right. I don't say the
name because she might pop up like Beetlejuice, but just no, no, no,
I was in a bad relationship. That relationship spawned a
wrestling company that actually enjoyed but didn't enjoy this stress

(25:44):
of it. But it ended very badly. So in the
course of you know, a couple of months that ended badly.
The wrestling promotion ended badly, uh you know, and then
you know, a couple other things happened with people don't
want to put over. I was in a really dark spot.
I was in a really bad way and maybe had

(26:06):
like twenty dollars to my name, and I just like
looking for, you know, a solution. And then I was relieved,
you know, I got invited to the ECW reunion shows,
and like during the course of that time, I kind
of stopped being the blue meanie. I was the blue
meani by name, but like I changed my look. I
was doing different things and going back to, you know,

(26:29):
doing one I stand and actually putting back on the
blue hair and the original makeup and the hair shirt
and the Daisy Dukes can get back out on TV.
And you know what happened when I stand was bad.
But I kind of found out like who my friends were.
I kind of you know, you know, figured out who

(26:51):
my true friends were. And it got me back out
there to realize, you know, the fans still care.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
I had lost all confidence, I had lost all.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
Every sense of worth because of I was just taking
live rounds between Grandmam's death, bad relationship, promotion, drama with that,
losing friends, all this shit was happening within that.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Course of the years.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
I called my dark ears and then boom one night
saying happens. It sucks, But somehow it got me back
on my footing and I got back being me and
you know, yeah I did. They didn't bring me back
because and that's why I brought up the Nova thing.
They were Initially there was talks about bringing me back

(27:37):
because Noba wanted to do d BWO thing, but that
just expedited it because after the JBL match on SmackDown,
we had a little mini feud with the Mexicools and
stuff like that, and I got to be on a
Grand America Bash and you know, do stuff, you know,
and then then these you know, came a calling and

(27:57):
got my life. I got my life back on track
because of an incident that was so bad.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
And if you think about it too, it's like if
you would have sued, god knows how much money you
would have got, but it might have tarnished your wrestling career.
So if you still want to perform and be a wrestler,
you might have been blackballed, you know by certain people,
for the ones who think you're a pussy or you

(28:27):
couldn't take the being or whatever. You know, it might
have it like in my opinion, if you didn't want
to be in the business anymore, I would have said, yeah,
go ahead and sue. Now, if you were trying to
pursue another career, yeah go sue, trying to make a
buck or two or whatever.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
But you still had, you.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Know, something inside you told you not to do it,
and you bounced back and you were able to start
working again and getting on TV and doing these bigger things.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
So you made the right decisions.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Yeah, and trust me. I had lawyers call me too, Yeah,
won me pro bono.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
We heard, I mean there were we heard. I heard
all these.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Different things, and I was just like, I wonder. I
said to myself, he's not going to sue. I knew.
I knew.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
I said, he's got wrestling in his veins.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
I said, he's not going to do it because it's
gonna that's going to just slam a door for him.
And you know, even though you think you could get
a million dollars, you're never going to get that much
money anyway, so you might as well just.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
You come out. I would probably have like fifty.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
No, I think you would have got dollars.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
JBL has never like with me and I I've I've
probably had about ten interactions with them over my whole
wrestling career, but I can say in those ten interactions,
he's been such a gentleman and so nice and courteous
to me. And you hear all these stories about him

(29:54):
and I and I know there's always two sides to
every story, but I'm just.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Like, man, he's so nice, like you know, and then
you have like.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Other people like Justin Roberts. I read his book, and
it's terrible. You know, people do change, and it's good
that you were able to sit down and discuss things
with him and kind of smooth everything out.

Speaker 5 (30:14):
But I tell you what, it was awful.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Yeah, it's really awful.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
I'll never discount anybody else's experiences with John. That's between
him and those folks, right, But the John that I
eventually became friends with is way different than the John
from ninety eighty two thousand, Okay, you know, and now
that was the wild West, you know, the attitude era,
and you know, people a little crazy on the road

(30:40):
and stuff like that. So I could have just been
collateral damage and whatever he was going through.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
And that's none of my business, but you know, you know,
it sucked.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Oh, I had good time, like I had good times
in WW during the attitude too. But there's like that stuff.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
And what's your favorite time? What's your favorite time? Favorite moment?
I we're discussing this this crap session. Let's let's talk
about a good moment. What was a favorite moment.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
That you have? Dude?

Speaker 4 (31:12):
My favorite moment was WrestleMania fifteen in my hometown of Uh.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
That's awesome, dude. I was born in Philly.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Uh May May nineteen seventy three at two pm on
a Friday. Look at that, because my mom tells me,
and we did.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
We had Chinese food.

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Oh so uh at my mom. Every time I do
my mom's voice, it's like Edith Bunker Brian.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Uh, can you go to McDonald to get me a
black and white cheek?

Speaker 3 (31:43):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (31:43):
Ma?

Speaker 3 (31:45):
But uh, you know I was born in South Philly.
Uh you know.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
Uh, I debuted for e c W Philly, debut for
w W and Philly. I had my WrestleMania moment in Philly,
and most recently I debuted for ae W in Philly.
So get to do things in this town you were
born and uh, I'm unapologized homer when it comes to Philly,
excuse me, everything Philly, So that had to be the

(32:11):
cool thing. I love doing this stuff with gold Dust.
One of my favorite, one of my best matches, my
favorite matches was me and gold Dust versus the Hardy's
on Sunday Night Heat. We had a really good match
to where you know, we get to the locker room
and like people who I normally wouldn't think would put
over that match.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
You know, Jerry Brisco comes up.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
To me many great match, you know like that, and
you know, just to work with, you know, guys like
the Hardy's work with Edge and Christian, you know when
they were just coming up and I related a lot
to Edge, Christian and the Hardy's. You know, uh, We're
around the same age, like the same music. We're all
listening like Pearl Jam and I'm giving them my giving

(32:55):
them my Pearl Jam mixes on c CD, making CDs
with with thing back then. But I'm being around those
guys and relatable and stuff like that. I had met
Edge and Christian when it like I'm still an e
c W. Me and Nova did a Indie out and
Detroit and Edge and Christian won that show and it

(33:16):
was like three shows, so uh. Nova decides to rib
Edge and Christian. He's like, hey, guys, I picked out
your ring music for you. They're like, we're ready, So yeah, he's.
Edge and Christian are getting ready to go to the ring.
All of a sudden, girls and cars start playing playing
and they the ring and they started. They both had

(33:38):
this really good Rick martel impersonation where you know, they're
doing the jumping up and down like Rick does and
stuff like that. And then we uh had to do
a run in on their match, and we run in
and this is around like Christmas time in Detroit and
there's like a Santa Claus at the show and then me, Edge,
Christian and Nova alterned heel in Santa Claus and beat

(33:59):
beat him up.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
This is the second time you've turned heel on Santa Claus,
by the way, because the first time we talked about
this over the weekend. What's you and Stevie in Times Square?

Speaker 3 (34:09):
Yeah, oh my god, which is one of my.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
Favorite promos ever when they super kick.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
Sacle and that was just a guy on the street.
That's that's the beauty of ECW. You do those Wan
and Gum promos. We're filming and this guy goes I want.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
To be on TV. And we're like, can you take
a Stevie kick?

Speaker 4 (34:26):
And he's like looking as to what and we explained
it and Stevie walking and the one the air was
the second take we did it. H we have to
do that again and the guy had to take it
what you know, concrete, the nasty plunge. He took the
nexty plunge on concrete and got up and we're like, okay,

(34:47):
thanks bye and we'll walking.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
You know.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
It's like heyday, And I was like, it's c c W.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Yeah, that's so great. I love that. That's one of
my favorites, next to Premium where which ukas start with me?

Speaker 5 (35:00):
And and uh people love that for sure.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
Many a man hated me for intellect in that commercial.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
It was so great, funniest.

Speaker 5 (35:11):
C c W story that you can think of off
the top of your head.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Oh my god, one of them, one of them.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
It could be at the travel Lodge. It doesn't have
to be. Travel Lodge is put over a lot on
this show.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
But that building we called, I call it the cylinder
of sin, a spherical and it looks like it needs
a condom on it.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Uh yes, I agree, but uh.

Speaker 4 (35:41):
Probably One of my favorite moments is, you know, we
were I was wrestling Jason Knight around the loop and uh,
you know we would have you know, Jason was kind
of enough to put me over excuse me pin one
two three, and I was doing the y m C
A gimmick that I had we eventually did on Wressell
plus ninety eight, but before that, we're going around loop

(36:02):
a Jason and having this quick little match pin them
one two three, why m c I. And we come
back through the curtain and I want to say it
was Allentown or uh oh my god, that place Downingtown, Downingtown,
thank you. Come through the curtain in Downingtown and there's

(36:23):
Shane Douglas, Big Did Dougley and the rest of the
locker room going why yeah, Well because the music is
still playing. I mean I just see Big Nick Dougley
doing the YMCA and then doing at the e CW arena.
You see these guys in like leather biker jackets going
oh why yeah, you know, just to get the e

(36:46):
c W crowd to do the y m c A.
Oh yeah, that's a fun moment. You know, does a
fun loop in time? You know, as far as stories
go that I could tell.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Okay, yeah, well a lot of it's in the vault
and we unders Dan, how many times have you pooped
your pants.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
In the rink in my career? Three times?

Speaker 2 (37:06):
But I'm not zero. Just to let you know, rookie,
I know work.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
It was like January third, eight? Yeah, you know, would
you believe I read? Okay, let me tell the story first.
I know this because uh, me Nova and Randy samd
guy drove out to Detroit for these the Sloop of
shows and uh they picked me up on New Year's Day,

(37:37):
which is you know, the mummers parayed, so it's com
forever to find my house. We drove halfway, so it
might have been January second, so we do. We're doing
a show in Inkster, Michigan at a community center.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
Is this for WWE?

Speaker 3 (37:53):
For ECW?

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Oh, it's for ECW okay.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
And the cool thing about doing this show is, you know,
I started my career out in Ohio and Michigan. So
I had wrestled in this building as Brian Rollins, as
Ebra Kid, and now have come back as the Blue
Meanie and all the fans that watched me on the
Michigan indie scene are watching me at this show, which
is kind of cool. So I wrestling Jason again. You know,

(38:20):
two minutes into the match, he closed, I take a
flat back and a hair you know, it's it's kind
of like this.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
And uh, that's the second time we heard that.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
I have a.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
I have a Roadcaster Pro which has a sound born
on it.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
So yeah, we have to get one of those.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
Breaking news. You know.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
Therese that again, you popped because that's one of my
text tones.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
It's like, what the hell, you're so billy?

Speaker 4 (38:58):
So, you know, he closed last me and in my pants,
I'm like, oh no, but I know it wasn't mess.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
It was like more like a like a tater tot.
But uh, it's just like.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
So we're wrestling and he, you know, snap mares me over,
puts me in the chin lock and I'm just wafting
in it, and uh Bill Wilds was managing me at
the time.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
He was boogle boogoloo Bill Wiles.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
And the smell of this hits ring side and Bill
doesn't know it's me.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
Okay, so he goes, oh, you people. He looks at
the cracker.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
You people stick to the other side of the ring.

Speaker 3 (39:36):
So the smell hits the other side.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
He goes, oh town bathe you know, so we finished
the match.

Speaker 3 (39:45):
I had to miss the moon salt and all this.
Do you imagine in my days, duke uh.

Speaker 4 (39:53):
I go into the locker room and sam Man stooped
me off. The word got back to the locker room
when had happened, and dames like yows, and I don't
even go in the locker room.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
I go right for the showers. I peel off, you know,
blah blah boom. I got one.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
I got one shower hit me in the head, one
shower you know, from you know, behind, like I'm hosing
off like a circus elephant. And I didn't know that
it felt it, but you know, better be safe either way.
Paul walks in in the west locker room and they're just.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
Like golf clap, yeah, so.

Speaker 4 (40:35):
Clean up, and I go and throw my underwear on
the roof, you know, stat being a gentleman throwing the trash.
So I was like, let me get rid of the evidence.
Threw it on the hook. Did the cream abdul jabbar
skyhook under the roof. And I recently just went on
Google Earth and.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Looked up the building to.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
See I was waiting to see it, like if there's
a chalk outline around him, like.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
Maybe a bird took them or something, and then the
bird got disgusted and he'd like spit them out.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
Bathe.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
I can attest to how bad your gas is because
we've traveled together a lot.

Speaker 5 (41:19):
I've shared a locker room with you for years.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
The funniest story I might have read it before, but
now that you're here, I have to say it again.

Speaker 5 (41:28):
We weren't.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
It wasn't e c W. I think it might have
been a loop for Shane Douglas that we were on
right home coming. We were somewhere and we had gone
either to a restaurant, rest up or to eat, and
we were coming back getting into a car, and next
to our car was another car and there was a
woman sitting in the car. Yes, well she was in

(41:53):
there and her window unfortunately was down. Menie stands in
front of stands.

Speaker 3 (42:03):
In front of her window, put the window.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
And passes gas right in this.

Speaker 4 (42:11):
I thought, I thought it was one of those things.
I thought, like some so I like to rib right.
You know when I worked in the casinos, you know,
uh in Atlantic City, you know, I was working doing
garage duty if somebody had their winding down reaching and
turned the volume knob up on the radio this you know.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
But I was like, oh, look, windows down. I didn't
see the lady he farted.

Speaker 5 (42:34):
It was loud and just crude.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
And I went, what.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
Around? Oh ate my face? Red face.

Speaker 2 (42:48):
She looked like she was gonna face just turned milk white.
And she was like oh, she gasped. I was what.

Speaker 5 (42:57):
I get in the car and go what what are
you doing? He's like, oh, I didn't know she was there?

Speaker 2 (43:01):
I said, you did you do? Up?

Speaker 3 (43:05):
God?

Speaker 4 (43:05):
There's one time was running in Dayton for heat wave.
I have a friend Jeremiah and Uh. I stayed at
his house he loves right over in Kentucky and we
go to Uh I want to say, King's Dominion, and
there's a top gun ride.

Speaker 3 (43:22):
I had the worst gas that day.

Speaker 4 (43:24):
And we're we're on stairs going up this ride and
we're just waiting our turn, and I just went, hey, guys, guys,
and there's a family behind me. People are behind me
and I didn't even look. But my friend Jeremiah, the
look on his face watching them, he was he had

(43:44):
tears coming down his eyes, like he was eating hot wings.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
It would have been great if you know how they
take pictures on the rides, if you would have farted
and the flashmoman went off and the people are behind
you disgusted.

Speaker 4 (43:57):
Yeah, moment the moment of impact.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
Ye I stopped the concert with the fart once.

Speaker 4 (44:09):
Swear to God, Remember remember why I was?

Speaker 3 (44:18):
Remember why I was skinny?

Speaker 4 (44:19):
Mean me for a second there, get down to like
two forty. I was neither the could they. I was
doing the protein thing. And we're we went to see
a band called the Atomic Punks at the Whiskey of
Go Go in Hollywood. Now, the singer and guitar player

(44:40):
from the Atomic Punks went on to become Steel Panther
Michael and Satchel whatever his name is now they keep
changing their names. And I was just on a tear
and uh, I was losing weight. But we're at the
show and there's a group of women behind me dancing
and they keep pumping into me. I'm just like, I'm

(45:01):
like watching the band, and I'm like, you know, it's
like I'm being rear rend like slowly rearrended, you know.
So I was like, oh man, and then like they're
grabbing on my I'm wearing a bwo shirt like tank top,
you know, a muscle shirt without the muscles, and yeah,
they're grabbing the back of my shirt and like re
eating it, and I'm just like, ew, I just snuzzled

(45:23):
my butt cheeks on the one lady's thigh and just
let it fucking rip.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
It was warm too, It's.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
Like you could have opened mail with it. Oh the glue.
And all of a sudden they went. They were like
behind me dancing. They were dancing like this. I turned around.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
They're like, you know, dancing like this, you know, with
their shirts.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
Over their Faece didn't stop dancing.

Speaker 4 (45:50):
Made it put you over except for this Oh no,
but and but like the main band hadn't come on yet.

Speaker 3 (45:56):
So I'm just like I let the one go.

Speaker 4 (45:58):
And it's kind of like in White Vampires into your house,
there's it brings friends.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
So I was like, oh no, there's more. So like
a couple of minutes, I'm.

Speaker 5 (46:08):
Like mm hmm, like a trumpet with an asshole.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
You got your own.

Speaker 4 (46:14):
Band, Dizzy Gillespie with the cheeks puffed out, And eventually
somebody at the bar.

Speaker 3 (46:24):
At the back of the fucking whiskey goes, please stop farting.

Speaker 4 (46:32):
Ahead one hundred yards away, yes, sir, stop.

Speaker 3 (46:38):
Dude. It was nuclear.

Speaker 4 (46:40):
It was like I can't. Yeah, the band We Go
to Sea comes on and like I'm I'm I'm clenched.
I'm trying not to because I really want to enjoy
this band. Yeah, I'm a bad band, handle Mark. So
I was making this part up. They're playing the song
you Really Got Me, and uh, this Ralph Michael Starr

(47:02):
a K. Michael Stars walking towards me, and I'm like,
oh no, so I let it.

Speaker 3 (47:07):
We'll let one go.

Speaker 4 (47:09):
And it's like he's walking this this way and my
heart's going up this way and it's just like that
they two ships meeting in the night just and he
he just went, oh, microphone.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
I was showing aleg and it's stop, stop stop, He's
fucking he's waving his arm, he's just WHOA.

Speaker 4 (47:37):
The stops playing and he goes, oh, somebody in the
crowd is shipp there. Every hand in the bar pointed
to me, and I was just like, man, I was with, uh,
who's the guy who did the photos for e c

(47:59):
W dot com? Quickly U yeah, yeah, I messaged his brother,
thinking it was him. I was like remember that time
I stopped the band. He's like, no, that's my brother Jim,
and here's all.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
Over my face. Right now I'm crying.

Speaker 3 (48:12):
Jim quigly.

Speaker 4 (48:14):
Testified on my behalf that yeah, I stopped the contract
with Afar.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
I'll send you that's great photographic proof.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
But yeah, I can't breath. Well, I I can attest
because I've smelt it several times. Yeah, that's the only
word I could use.

Speaker 3 (48:36):
My grandma would say, I think you need a physic.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
No, well, if you're not going to the bathroom, yeah,
if you're just gassy, but if you're moving your bowels regularly, now,
no physics need it. You just need some for breeze
and uh air. Yeah, not to be such in a
tight space. But yeah, you know, you know who needs

(49:00):
to talk about where he started and who trained you
because we're talking about shipping farts and good stuff, and that's.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
What knock down JVL like that with a fart in
the ring.

Speaker 2 (49:12):
That night, and then that would have never happened.

Speaker 4 (49:15):
I used to discuss Al Snow with my farts because,
like he, we would be bad. I was training with
Al and like you know, we'd be on the in
the ring doing the thing. I would just let one
go and I would do the rick Steiner around the ring,
like run around the ring, just a fucking vapor trail everybody,
and everybody would just, you know, eliminate themselves out of

(49:35):
the ring.

Speaker 2 (49:35):
Just like, yeah, fart on me too.

Speaker 3 (49:39):
Oh he had bad, he's bad.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
He's stunk too. And he would if you ever noticed,
like if he would back me up in the corner
and stand in front of me in the corner, that's
when he would fart.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
He would do the Andre the Giant, I.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
Suppose, but I mean we're on TV. I'm trying to
be mean. And then I would go, did you just
shake your pants like you smell? Like it was disgusting.

Speaker 4 (49:57):
He wasn't as bad as h All Brack or whatever.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
Oh I remember, yeh.

Speaker 3 (50:06):
He used to drink the egg beaters in the locker
room and just annihilated.

Speaker 5 (50:10):
But I haven't heard that name in years.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
Brocus, brock Brocus, Yeah, no, it was the other dude.

Speaker 5 (50:18):
There was another big guy we had.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
What was his name, I don't know that. I thought
that was the name.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
You just said Broncus. His real name was Brockets.

Speaker 2 (50:29):
I know who that is.

Speaker 5 (50:30):
He was the dude that we w W.

Speaker 2 (50:32):
Was grooming and then with right yeah yeah, and he
wore the chains he disappeared.

Speaker 3 (50:41):
Yeah. I don't think the wrestling business before him.

Speaker 2 (50:43):

and I'm glad you never left it. We're all better
