Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy pros. This is the Fantasy
Football Podcast. It is B Joey, B joe Pisapia, And
after a wacky Week eleven, it's time to turn the
page to Week twelve in the NFL and look at
some waiver wire grabs and help me do it, of course,
is my dude from the Athletic Jake seely Jake. It
was a bizarre week where the stars did not shine

(00:21):
in week eleven, and many of the guys that you said,
who the hell is that guy all of a sudden
showed up and there were streaming guys off the waiver
wire that ended up being the RB two for the week.
Shan Tucker, I'm looking at you. So I feel like
we have to kind of take a step back, take
a deep breath, and really kind of assess what's left
out there on the waiver wire, because there was a
lot of performances like Tucker, like Wilson that we got,

(00:44):
or anyone named Wilson for that matter, that we kind
of have to assess in the context and see how
much do we want to spend on them going forward
in the waiver wire because it was a very strange
week to sit back and wonder, can we see these
kind of performances again from some of these names.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, when you said whack, I was thinking of the
wavy flabel arm, flailing tube band or whatever the name is.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Well said, I.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Mean, that's pretty much what this week was like. If
you if you had anybody good, I just rattled off
my team to you that I tweeted out last night
and changed the team to the Death Star Exhaust Fan
because that's how bad it was, that powerful of a
team that just went. So I feel you out there,
but this is football and what football is. Yeah, the
Michael Wilson one, he's not going to make our list
just because it's with no Marvin Harrison and Jacobey Brissette

(01:28):
throwing fifty seven times.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
I understand some people might need him.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
They have Greg George popped off in that game late too, again,
fifty seven attempts in forty seven completions. But that's what
it is this time of year, and you might need
some of these options. So you're gonna hear number five
and the bonus option and being like, wow, you mentioned
these names too, but it's just that time of year
where you just want to try and fill your team.
And unfortunately that team I did have Sean Tucker and
Bryce Young on the bench on that one, Like, I mean,

(01:52):
who's gonna start Bryce?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, that's well, you know Bryce Young against Atlanta Falcons
is you know Joe Montana. And it's funny because they
are also going into that game, they had given up
the fewest receiving yards of any defense and then you
give up four hundred and.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
The Panthers will be seventeen and oh if they face
the Falcons.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Every week, That's what I keep saying. So I don't know, Matt,
this is just wild. It's a wild stuff yesterday. It's
really entertaining. But let's talk about the before we get
to the top five guys, let's talk about the Jalen
Warren Kenneth game Wile situation there too. Obviously trying to
figure out, you know, health of Jalen Warren here at
probably the health of Aaron Rodgers do at this point,
but also trying to parse that along with what we

(02:29):
saw from Kenneth gain Well. So how do you approach
Gainwell this week? If you have Warren and if you don't.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
If you have Warren, you probably want to be a
little bit more aggressive. If we still don't have word,
we probably aren't going to get it until Wednesday and
we hear some practice reports, unless the testing is done
and we hear worst news. But as of right now,
Kenneth game Will just to back up your plan there.
If we do get word that Warren is out significant time,
then Kenneth Gay will be at the top of this list.
We talked about him the entire year at various points,

(02:55):
so he would be the clear and obvious option. But
I will say I don't think I would expect game
Will to be the Belkalish running back we've seen earlier
this year. Caleb Johnson last week got the first two
carries in that game, and despite all the snaps for
Kenneck Game well, most of them were in the passing game,
and he had two receptions and three targets. This week
he was getting a lot of work with Warren and
then when Warren left the game finally he tried to

(03:17):
come back. When he finally left the game, it was
almost fifty to fifty. It's pretty much we know what's
going to be game well, it's going to be probably
more like sixty to forty, but.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
In a deeper league.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
If Gamewell's rostered and a lot of other backups, Sean
Tucker's been rostered, all these other ones, even Tutan who
looked like he was potentially going to start taking over yesterday.
If all those are out there and you're looking for
a deep, deep, deep one, if there is no Warren
for multiple weeks, Caleb Johnson went Finally.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
It took all this time, Caleb Johnson. This is why
we told you to draft Caleb Johnson in the seventh round.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
It was because of Week twelve of the fantasy football season.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yeah, well that was a frustrating thing because it seemed
like a forward path there for Caleb Johnson in this
offense and it just obviously was not meant to be
this year or so. And look, we had Trevion Henderson
score three touchdowns this week, and then everybody excited to
start RJ. Harvey finally without JK. Dobbins, and that didn't
work out. So it was very strange week. Yeah, Sean
Payton will do it. He every time. All right, Let's

(04:11):
talk about Christian Watson, a guy that's still floating around
a thirty seven percent of leagues. Somehow, some way, I
don't know why. We've talked about him before on the show.
We've talked about the Waiver Wire full length podcast on
Fantasy Bros. Before he had four of his five targets
that he caught for forty six yards and not one
but two touchdowns. That was against the Giants. But at
this point he is I think the best of what
they've got in terms of target volume that could be

(04:32):
productive and fantasy from Jordan Love.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Absolutely, he wasn't on the list. You asked me before
we started the show. They're like, what about Christian Watson.
I'm like, because he's too highly rostered and you're.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Like, like, no, he's not. Like Okay, I guess we're
talking about him like sixty plus percent of leagues right now, Jake.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
It's baffling to me.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
We talked about him, and I talked about him in
the Waiver cal him the athletic before he returned, when
he returned, continuing after that, the thing I think what's
holding Watson back his perception. You get this as long
as you been doing this job as sure is that
everybody wanted wats him to be a thing when he
was a thing, and they would hit and be inconsistent
or like, we're tired of Christian Watson being so inconsistent
on the Packers, and then it gets hurt.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
It's like, fine, he's out of our minds.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
We can move on. Jaden Read is a thing, Romeo
Dobbs is a thing. Maybe Matthew Golden takes off. There's
another rookie that didn't hit, and then he comes back
and produces, and it's like, well, Christian Watson's still doing
Christian Watson things. He's still doing three for seventy or
three for eighty or if he drops a big one.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
But that's what Christian Watson always was. He's doing what
we want him to do.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
He just had his big game and people are still like, eh,
I don't know if I want Christian.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
I'm exactly that person you described, by the way, because
I was a big supporter of his coming out of
the draft, and last year I was like, Okay, this
is finally the year. I'm gonna be very aggressive on
him because I feel like, okay, eventually these injuries have
to work out. And guess what, I was totally wrong.
So I am one of those people that did go.
You know, he's coming off I arson uh, you know,
I've been there, done that, I'm not gonna do it anymore.
So I raised my hand full defense. I'm exactly I

(05:57):
feel targeted by Jake and his monologue, but it's still
I get it. But at a certain point, Jake, you
have to brush that off and you have to go
forward with Watson.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Youah, brush your shoulder off.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
That's what comes to just here's the thing for you,
and I know you get this, but for everybody out there,
like understand who Christian Watson and Christian Watson is, Kashan
Booty as Troy Franklin is, and I could go down
the list, but what am.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
I profiling to you? Yeah, wide receiver fours with weekly.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Top twenty upside, they're probably gonna hit top thirty thirty
five more often than not. But because they're wide receiver fours,
they're going to leave you frustrated some weeks. And that's
what happens.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Don't let your perception of the good get you so
like annoyed with the bad weeks that are going to
come that you're like, forget it now, I'm benching them,
and then you miss the good games. That's what happens
with wider restiver fours.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
You cannot play them, try to hit and miss, You're
just going to have to roll them out there most weeks.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
All right, Let's also discuss his teammate Emmanuel Wilson, because
Josh Jaco's picked up an injury and Wilson rough four
forty yards of over eleven carries. You also caught one
pass four nine and he had a two point conversion
as well. So what you take on Wilson's value this week?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
I think if it's Josh Jacobs, sounds like they avoided
major injury, a good job.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Met Life turf once again and at every time.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Every time we'll be playing on that turf on Sunday.
I can't wait for all of my kids to play
on there.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
They did the test.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
It's supposely like we watch it. We see anyway, Emmanuel Wilson.
At the beginning of the year, it seemed like it
was going to read Chris Brooks, but it has clearly
been Emmanuel Wilson is the next person up. But I
bring up Chris Brooks to say it is not going
to be eighty five percent of the workload for Wilson.
But clearly, if Josh Jacobs missed his time, at least
one week, Emmanuel Wilson will step in. And the reason
that's why he's here is because it sounds like it

(07:37):
might be at least one week, maybe two at the worst.
But look at Sean Tucker, look at Rashaw White, look
at all these running backs, and we're still chasing.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
How is Bam Knight the most picked up and dropped
player in the history of Fantasy right now?

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Because no, not.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
The history, but maybe this year, this year for sure,
because I feel like at this point, just over the
course of five weeks, he's been on everybody's roster already,
but the point everyone's had he's the village bicycle of
Waiver Wire claims for sure he plays for the Packers.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
He'd be the lead option.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
The only reason and we can talk about number three
is that this is clearly here as the number two
is Emmanuelson. Is that Jacob says out he's going to
be manual and Wilson would be an RB two.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Okay, all right, next on our list, here to discuss
a guy that you know went off yesterday against the
Buffalo Bills. Unfortunately they fell a little short of getting
that win. Nineteen carries one hundred and six yards and
two touchdowns for Sean Tucker, who you know, I advise
people is like, hey, he's a streaming guy. If you're
kind of desperate, little that I know the kind of
day he would have. And it does beg a couple
of questions, you know too, which is is it just

(08:36):
the system here? Is like, was Bucky Irving not really special? Necessarily?
Is like a Shawn Talker the last two weeks, is
look pretty good in this offense? And what you know,
sort of length are we're looking at in terms of
his usability with the looming return of Bucky Irving At
some point one would hope, so what's the Tucker stock
look like to you right now?

Speaker 3 (08:55):
So stock up?

Speaker 2 (08:56):
But it comes down to he's three and not one
or aha we tried to tell you or whatever it
might be. Because it's the system to a degree, but
it's a system like a Shanahan system with the quarterback
and the running back. It's like to a degree in
the fact that you can be good, but what does
it take to be great? Is the system might help you,
but you still have to do better. He's looked better
for weeks than Rashaw White. We That's why Sean Tucker

(09:18):
was a decent streamer. That's why we talked about a
lot of us in the industry, including you, as potentially
a fifty to fifty split, maybe even more to Tucker
this week, he.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Would be the number one runaway.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Go if somebody had like left thin league ten team
league he was left out on waivers, Go chase him
with everything you have left except for the question mark
being Bucky Irving practiced three times last week. It was
limited all three times. He obviously didn't suit up. But
Sean Tucker's at three in the case that like, hey,
you have to go get Christian Watson, you gotta go
get Kenneth game well, you gotta get Emmanuel Wilson. But
if all of those are gone and somehow Tucker was

(09:50):
still out there, there's no guarantee Bucky Irving comes back
this week. And let's take it one step further. Even
if he does, there's no guarantee Bucky Irving steps right
back into the workload that he had. And maybe this
still doesn't remain a fifty to fifty split. We've seen
this with other running backs who have gotten hurt and
then in their steed the player play as well, and
then they come back and all of a sudden, it's

(10:10):
fifty to fifty. Like mcnong, guy we wish had a
bigger share, but he's eating in more than he was
pre injury to Swift. It's still not what we would
expect potentially here, but the point remains.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
That we could see forty percent for.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Seawn Tucker with a healthy Brockety Irving and then Shawn
Tucker becomes a playable RB three.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
All right, So after Shawn Tucker, I want to talk
about Jaden Higgins for a moment here wide receiver for
the Houston Texans. Now, Higgins four of seven targets for
fifty five yards. What are your thoughts on that wide
receiver for going forward for week twelve and beyond?

Speaker 2 (10:42):
That was a big Jaden Higgins supporter, Joe, because I
knew come week eleven that's when Jamaco Ryans like this
was go ahead and draft him, and then eleven to
twelfth round because this is why I wanted you to
stash them. Just kidding, but like the point being is,
it's finally happening for Higgins. This is what we were
hoping for. He's a Marvin Jones type and Arvin Jones
go back to him. Just put Marvin Jones next to

(11:02):
Nico Collins wide receiver four, and that's what he is.
Jaden Higgins is now in the conversation, I'd still put
Christian Watson clearly ahead of him, and Christian Watson's more
on the high end cusp of wide receiver three territory
and Higgins is more on the low end cusp of
wide receiver five. Like you wouldn't want to start Higgins
in bad matchups like against the Chiefs. But Higgins is
finally moving into the number two role. The really good

(11:23):
part about it is, additionally to yesterday, he stayed on
the field for two wide receiver sets for a good
part of it. So he's out there in two and
three wide receiver sets, which is zero pointing two. He's
finally the number two. Demiko Ryans was interviewed last week
and he did it with what he marks. He even
said in the interview he's like, they're not rookies anymore.
I don't know why I took eleven weeks for us
to get here that they're not rookies anymore in his mind,

(11:43):
but they're not rookies anymore. And Woody Marks was the
clear lead at running back and Jadon Higgins is finally.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
The clear two as the wide receiver.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Well it's nice when can't get clarity eventually, yea, that
they're not rookies anymore.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
You just telling the truth. At least that's cool.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
I trust them, I guess, all right, So can we
trust Jalen Kocher going forward to again, it was a
huge output. We were joking about it from Bryce Young earlier.
But that's not typically the Carolina Panthers game. So is
Coker going to be a useful cog for us in
this offense of the Carolina Panthers or just another guy
that we get disappointed about when we try to put
him our lineups.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Well that's why I went like this when you ask
the question, So come Wednesday, if you're still watching this
because your waivers run on Wednesday, maybe late Wednesday night,
and we get where that is, able Get is okay,
then cut number five and just jump to the bonus
because this is really about whether or not lee Get
is healthy because Liget hasn't been usable even though he's
popped off two or three times, because Coker's out there
and Coker's not usable because Leget's doing things. We need

(12:37):
one of them to clear out because, as you mentioned,
it comes down to Bryce Young his best game of
his actually could be of his career, if you want
to argue for that. But we can't trust the third
wide receiver, let alone the two because they split too much.
So all the Coke kids out there, as they love
to say, if this is finally he is the number two,
then yeah, but you'd probably still only get wide receiver
four or five value. But we're at that point of

(12:57):
the season, Joe, you and I are talking in week
twelve digging deeper than we have before.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Yeah, it's speaking of digging deep, let's give a bonus
guy too. We've had this guy show up in shows
in the past and have some moments. He was one
of the favorites of Brian Dable kind of came over
there with Buffalo Bills and he actually had some use.
I know, I picked him up in a couple leagues
a few years ago. Or Isaiah Hodgens actually for the Giants,
had some moments there and then kind of disappeared into
the background, sort of did that Homer Simpson thing where

(13:22):
he just kind of faded into oblivion, back into the greenery.
So what do you make of the Hodgens performance this
week with Winston, who you know is gonna throw the
ball more. We hope that we get Winston basically, you know,
until we get Jackson dart back. But did Hodgens do
enough to show the deeper leagues he could be worth
a stash And you know, is it somebody like him
you want to go after or is it somebody like

(13:42):
Tyro Shavers who got activated and all of a sudden
became a thing.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Yeah, the Buffalo Bills are sending messages and the Buffalo
Bills any given week.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
You know, man, they won a game finally, and Shaters
had some big moments in that. Like I don't want
to like dismiss Shavers completely. I mean, ninety yards is
a touchdown on five targets caught four. That's that's a
little more than a message.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
I feel like, Yeah, but copy paste that to somebody
else doing that on the team like they have the
entire year. The Bills are the Bills because Josh Allen
is Josh Allen. He's going to spread it around. He's
not going to force feed anyone like Khalil Shakir should
have had a huge day, he didn't, but Khalil Shakier
will have a good day. He's is funny. It's funny
that Shakier's like the floor guy, but his floor isn't
even that great because it's the bills they go to.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Everybody. There's also with no Dalton Kinkaid out there, this
is what they do.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
So I'm not chasing bills. If you want to, I'm
not saying you're crazy to go get Shavers. But if
like Shavers was clearly the number two, cool, But do
we even know that because Keon Coleman, we got the message.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
He's probably right back out there. Dalton k Kaid's gonna
come back.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
So I say all that to day is like the
one thing about Hodgens is it's not so much I
love Hodgens the player, but the Giants have some they're
enamored with them.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Like every time.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
They're down to like two or three wide receivers and
they're like, oh, we need somebody bring back as they
had Hodgens. And the thing is, Joe, they only ran
three wide receivers out there the entire day yesterday. Only
Wandel Robinson Hodges is the two and then Jalen Hyatt
that was it. And I bring that up to say, like,
even if Darius Slayton comes back, Hodgens should be the three.
I'm not gonna be that excited about the number three

(15:09):
on the Giants. But if Slayton isn't back, similar to
the Sean Tucker thing, they get the Detroit Lions, which
I know their defense can be really good as we
just saw late last night, but they can also go
the other direction where the game is pushing the pace
and they should have no problem against the Giants where
maybe you get another game of forty forty five attempts.
And I'm not look, Isaiah Hodges is only for your
fourteen teamers out there, but if you're going to be
a top three wide receiver on any team, even lower

(15:32):
passing we just talked about the Panthers, a third wide
receiver potentially number two is going to get enter to
the conversation.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
And remember, everybody, if you only take one thing away
from the show today, the Bills are the Bills because
Josh Allen is Josh Allen. There you go. That's it, everybody,
that's your moment of zen for the show. Also use
the tools download the Fantasy pros app sink your leagues

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
