Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome in everybody to Fantasy Pros. This is the Fantasy
Football Podcast. It's me Joey b Joe P. Zapia, and
today we're gonna take a look at the rookie class
now that the dust has settled and we could start
to give you some comps about some expectations you might
have for the players they might become and the players
they might be right now. And of course, what a
fun bunch we've got here to do it. You know
(00:21):
you talk about the Thunderbolts kind of being this mismatched,
fun group of anti heroes. Well I give you Derek Brown, Debro,
the King of Bros, and Jake Sealey from the Athletic
to join me. I mean this is a pretty good
anti hero crew. Debro, what do you think?
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Who does that make me?
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Am?
Speaker 2 (00:39):
I a Bucky Barnes in this? Like I'm just trying
to understand.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
The wishing a Bucky barn You're absolutely Red Guardian. There's
no doubt about who you are in this combination of peop.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Please take it, baby. I love Harbor, love it.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah, you're Harbor. Jake, You're probably Winter Soldier, and I
guess that makes me Florence.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
You Jake, what do you think? Uh on that one?
Around the eye? Round the eye, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
David Harbor was amazing in that. Like I will say,
you're definitely the but Joe, like, come on like baseball
with link T shirt, Like you didn't even call this
out too, you crush it now.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I saw it. I did see it.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I don't know if everyone can see it in the
in the box that we're going to be in, but
that's for the after dark Oh there you go, there
you go. I was gonna say after dark Fantasy Pros.
Maybe you see the full Jake Zealey. However, we're gonna
jump right into it and we're gonna talk about some
comps here because number one, it's fun. Number two, it
gives you a sense of what to expect when we
are looking ahead to this rookie class in redraft leagues especially.
(01:37):
So let's start with the guy who's the one one
in the Dynasty world and probably in the first round
of top ten selection as well, or at least in
that conversation, Ashton Genty, who is going to be playing
for the Las Vegas Raiders Debro. Let's start with you
give me a comp of what kind of player you
think Ashton Genty is going to be in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
All right, this is just gonna I'm gonna lead this
off with something hyperbolic, but I think it's real, guys.
I think Ashton Genty will be Saquon Barkley in the
NFL and rookie Saquon Barkley in the NFL right out
the gate. But we already see this in ECR right now.
He's already currently a first round selection, so you are
having to pay up for him. So the fact that
in his rookie season, Saquon got three hundred and fifty
(02:17):
two touches over two thousand total yards and was the
RB three and Fantasy points per game. So like putting
all those expectations on Ashtontenty, We're already doing that guys
in the ECR, in the rankings. So all I'm doing
is backing it up and saying, yeah, guess what he's
gonna do all that in his rookie season. And if
you look at this passing game checkdowns four days, it's
(02:39):
only Bowers Besh above him and Jacoby Myers, and I
could say, like he's probably number two, maybe three in
the target pecking order on a weekly basis, Yeah, sign
me up Ashton Genty all day baby.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Yeah, volume shouldn't be the issue. Similarly to brock Bauers
last year, right, he got all the volume we wanted
him to get the upside of touchdowns. Well, unfortunately the
quarterback play held that back. With the hope is and
Gino can move that ball forward for the Las Vegas Raiders.
And if he does, Jake Sealey, who does Ashton Genty
remind you of?
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, I think this is a perfect spot for kind
of what I smashed him together beforehand, as Bjon Elliott
b Jhon Robinson meets Ezekiel Elliott. And why I say
that is because, similar to Debro like those are stylistic
comparisons in a way, like I actually do think he's
more Zeke than Barkley or Bijon because he just runs
through guys. He doesn't need to be very elusive to
you know, have a big day. This is it's not
(03:28):
a knock on him to say he doesn't make a
ton of people miss because who the hell cares? He's
breaking thirty tackles a game. But where I bring those
up for what we're hoping for in fantasy is we
know Bjeon Robinson was quote unquote a disappointment as a
rookie for where everybody was taking as the second or
third running back off the board. But yeah, he was
still RB nine. You go back to Zeke RB two
in that really big season where he almost total two
(03:49):
thousand yards, and I think that's the ceiling. I don't
think he quite gets there. But I'm saying, also, worst
case RB nine, So does he finish with the RB
four or five this year?
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Sure? Cool?
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Like I'm not to have a problem with that, and
I think he's worthy of being a back end first
round pick.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Honestly. Well, while you are going to talk about the
next guy, I'm going to plug into an AI generator.
What that looks like of Bjeon Robinson Ezygiel Elliott. I
hope it gets a good image. I really fear about
what it might be. Maybe I'll send it to the
graphics guys. You even get it made up. Let's get
(04:24):
to another running back that lends in a really good
spot for his fantasy value, Omar and Hampton of now
the Los Angeles Chargers. So Naji Harris is there, Jake,
But at the same time, I think all of us
have expectations that the best running back is going to
be Omarion Hampton. The problem is we don't know if
it's going to be right out of the gate in
terms of the workload that he might receive, So that
(04:46):
becomes troubling. So let's talk about Amari and Hampton and
maybe we're going to dial back a little expectations in
Redraft League, so amar and Hampton will be the next who.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
I love this, This smashup work perfect for the situation too.
Brice sharbon Ay like Brice what we want priests Hall
to be though, but what might start out as a
Zach Charbonay situation. You love the fact that he gets
extra yars, he's strong, he can be a three down back.
The concerns we had of college are minimal. Like he
gets a little impatient and that you know, presses things
(05:15):
at times. But like that's something like he can work
on in the NFL. And that's why I bring this up.
You bring into Naje Harris is like maybe out of
the gate, it's a fifty to fifty split. Maybe at
worst case that fifty to fifty split is similar to
what we've seen with Jalen Warren and Naje Harris where
Jalen Warren was better on a per touch basis, and
it's like, we just want that guy instead, and then
we clamor and complain that he's not getting more touches.
(05:35):
So the upside being is that he's Briess's Hall, But
I bring up Brits Hall too to say that, like
similar to Bejeon, even if it was a worst case scenario,
he would be a top fifteen running back. And if
we got what we wanted for Breese Hall and to
stop sharing with everybody with the Jets and that being
a mess last year, we're talking about potential top ten
running back and I think that's what we're looking at,
and it might take top ten, might be twenty twenty six,
(05:57):
just because Naje Harris is lingering, but I think I
think he can force a sixty to forty split where
he is the explosive piece and that power quote unquote
option is more of the back half piece in this
in this backfield.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
All right, debro let's get your take on a Mario
and Hampton. He will be the next two.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
I'm gonna say, Zach Sharboney, so I mean we're I'm
Jake and I are handholding. Now the context I'm gonna
give is Zach Sharboney when he has been the starter
for Seattle and those type of expectations because I think,
looking at the draft capital, the Chargers are saying very loudly,
he is going to be our guy. Now, Naj's still
going to be involved. I think it's probably sixty forty
sixty five to thirty five out the gate. I think
(06:34):
Mario on Hampton can earn more volume. But look at
where Sharbonay has done. When he has been the starter
for the Seattle Seahawks in nine games over sixty percent
of the snaps. This guy has averaged eighteen point seven
touches a shade over ninety total yards per game. He's
been a top twenty running back in seventy eight percent
of those games. So I think those are pretty solid
(06:55):
expectations for Mario on Hampton, who right now, I've got
him ranked as a top twenty back for this year's
redraft rankings.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
All right, So both of you are looking at Sharpen
and look, I agree, I think it might be one
of these guys too where you should still have the
ranking pretty strong because the latter part of the season,
you might see Hampton went out over time or nauj
and Harris just not look sharp, right, because that's kind
of the nausey we've seen. Now, look, it is a
better offensive line. He's running in front of them, so
maybe that will hide some of the issues that we
saw last year with the Pittsburgh Steelers and nause but
(07:23):
still something I think more of a long term second
f expectation, which is what we've seen another Rooie running backs.
I think the last couple of years in this class,
like we have to wait a little bit for the
most part, and then that remember Jamior Gibbs first four games, Oh,
people want to drop him, He's a terrible trading him
and look, Jamier Gibbs at the second half was a
league winner day.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Dude. That's exactly where I was going. The more we
talked about this, I was like, can you just already
like picture the tweets getting sent out a week one,
week two, like first raft draft Capital where I drafted him,
and then like three weeks later everybody's like I had
I got a Mario on Hampton h even to.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Like a lesser extent, you know that that's like the
best version, right, But Montgomery's rookie season, DeAndre Swists rookie season.
Like all those guys, they were all late bloomers in
the season, So just keep that in mind with a
lot of these running backs. Travon Henderson, Now that's interesting
because this is a new regime coming in here, and
I know where Andre Stevenson's there, But Travion has speed,
also really good in pass protection, so I expect him
(08:23):
to be playing quite a bit. So debro Let's lay
a comp here. Travon Henderson will be the next who.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Maybe I'm just feeling all kinds of things in these
rookies today, man, but I'm gonna say his rookie season
Devon ah Chan as a guy that we're not going
to see the monster amounts of volume, but I think
you're going to see monster efficiency. I mean, let's just
all be kind of rewind here. Devon ah Chan and
his rookie season. One hundred and thirty touches and he
on almost one thousand total yards. Man. Now, I don't
know if if Henderson is going to get to the
(08:52):
point where a Chan was RB five and Fantasy points
per game, but if he's top twelve, I'm not going
to be shocked. And I think that looking at just
how we're raiming his rikises and expectations, the pass game
utility is going to be there. So I agree with you, Joe,
and I think the efficiency is going to be there.
So even if Andre is going to be a thorn
in the side, I still think it's gonna be awesome
for Anderson.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
So let's talk about this, Jake, because this backfield is
a little muddy. I think in some people's minds, I
don't know money it is in mine. He's the better
pass catcher, he is the better pass protector. He's the
faster of the two, the more explosive of the two.
So I think he I don't think he's going to
be the cheaper of the two, but I that might
not bother me necessarily.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
So Trevion Henderson is the next.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Who to you?
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Yeah, you say faster too, like you remember those hot
wheels spring launchers with that seah, you're the spring as
you're pulling it back and then you let go.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
That's tray spring the envelope two.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Oh yeah, you've always I'm right there with you. I
actually like them.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
The pre draft smashup I have is not actually what
I would say now, Like originally it was Taj Cook
and it was Taja Spears, worst case scenario James Cook.
But I will say now, I actually think he is
going to be James Cook. Similar to what Deebra was
just saying, we're talking about James Cook with only two
hundred and forty one touches last year, and he was
top ten overall end in points per game. Now, obviously
there's a little bit of a concern Bills versus Patriots
(10:12):
the touchdown capital, but at that same point, like two
hundred and forty touches, he doesn't need three hundred, and
I honestly think the Patriots are not going to give
him three hundred because you go back to Henderson pre
injury in college. This was somebody just three years ago.
People were like, oh, first round. Once he's available in
the draft, he's going to be a first round running back.
The injuries are what's probably the concern of why they're
(10:33):
going to keep him in the timeshare. Be smart and
maybe he loses some of that touchdown equity, but I'm
okay with it because even James Cook, you peel off
four or five touchdowns, he's still in RB one, and
so I love the a chan call. I think that's
a little lofty, but ill, I'll sign me up for
it if you're right. But I think he's a little
bit more James Coke with less touchdowns. Maybe not two
years ago James Cook with only two or was it
(10:53):
four or whatever it was? But yeah, two, right, because
it wasn't it over under four? Like it's not ridiculous.
But anyway, somewhere in between two years ago and last
year James Cook, you.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Know, I'll take that too, have of a rookie season.
I'll absolutely take that all right, here we go. The
touchdowns two?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
You or right?
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Was too? So a big jump though from twenty three
to just a little jumps a little from you know,
two rushing touchdowns sixteen, Uh, that was pretty good. He
had four receiving touchdowns. We're both kind of right that year.
So he had six last year eighteen combined. So I'll
settle for something in between. That sounds like a really
good opportunity there quin John Judkins. Now this offense, who
(11:30):
the hell knows is going to be playing quarterback and
that's gonna mean something. But regardless, they're gonna have to
commit to running football. Jerome Ford is the stalwart who
was there. So, Jake, why don't you give me another
one of your classic Jake Seally mashups for Quinn Shawn Jenkins.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
He's the next two Brian Mason, Brian Robinson Jordan Mason combined, which, Okay,
the thing is, if you think about both both being
a better pass catcher than some want to give him
credits for. I'm not gonna call it Judkins one of
the best pass catchers in the draft. That'd be stupid,
but could be relying on eighteen twenty two just to
get top fifteen value, but more so probably falls into
(12:03):
that mid low RB two range, which you see a
lot of people getting excited for Jordan Mason as a
sneaky backup to have now that he's on the Vikings
behind Aaron Jones, And I think that's what you're looking at, Like,
I feel like that's worst case enough. Of course, people
are gonna be pissed off if Judkins turns into Jordan
Mason's first season, but I think that that RB three
value be as absolute floor. But I'm thinking it's more
RB two Jordan Mason as the leader. Brian Robinson in
(12:25):
a time share which is getting you RB two value.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
All right, Debro, Let's take a look at what do
you think Quinnshaw Judkins is going to be the next two?
Speaker 2 (12:34):
People are gonna think this is shade, and I'm gonna
go back in the time machine and I'm gonna try
to lay this out for people. It's a former brown
who got the early down work and if injuries hadn't struck,
we have had a much more productive career. I think
it's gonna be Isaiah Coroell. And if you look at
it going all the way back to twenty sixteen, Coroll,
I'm ass two hundred and thirty eight touches, almost thirteen
(12:57):
hundred total yards. He was the RB nineteen and fantasy
points game. And I just think Judkins, it's not flashy,
it's not amazing. He's gonna get a ton of volume
and his rookie season. Like That's where I'm at. Man
Like again, going back to the Browns, whenever Crowell was
tote in the rock was not a sexy offense quarterback
play the entire offensive ecosystem was me and he still
(13:17):
got there as a back end RB two. I think
it's what you're gonna see out of Judkins this year,
all right.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
So I tried my best, and AI was giving me
a hard time. I was trying really hard, but I
eventually I was able to put in p Jeon Robinson
and Ezekiel Elliott and and I got a few pictures here,
so I sent them to you in the slack for
your reaction. I'm gonna send it to the production team
hopefully get it in there. But I couldn't make it work.
I had to as a baby, like as a child.
That's the only way we could get it. But I
(13:43):
would say adorable, Like I'm gonna say straight up, look
these are these are you know? They all bit on
Code and O'Brien where they used to have like if
two people had a baby, what it would look like
Jeon and Ezekiel Elliot have a beautiful child here?
Speaker 2 (13:58):
This is nice. Looks like something out of uh j C.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Penny Jenny. Definitely like you know, back to school or
you know, get ready for you know spring is here.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Oh I think.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
I'm a little bit more fan of the Bijon.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Well it's it's the Bijon Elliott, Okay, that's mixed with Zeke.
This is what you're getting his Otherwise We're just giving
you pictures of the two of them together, and that's
no good.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Heyl looks like he's gonna fall into the end zone
nine nine. Looks like he's gonna make you miss quite
a few times.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Yeah, yeah, juice for days in the open field. All right,
let's get too.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
We are having fun here. Caleb Johnson now with the
Pittsburgh Steelers. And look, Jalen Warren. I know you love
Jalen Warren. Deb I get, but he's always hurt. He's
he's never lived up to what he could be. We
still have a quarterback as of now. Who's who's playing
here for the Steelers. Cale Johns's gonna get a ton
of work. So if that expectation is let's say a
(14:56):
sixty forty split at worst here for Caleb Johnson, what
does he look like? He's the next two?
Speaker 2 (15:01):
He's Joe Mixon. That's exactly I mean again, going back
to who Joe Mixon is now and versus expectations and
him coming out as a prospect, we all need to
understand that Joe Mixon wasn't the most athletic running back,
and I think that's what's been tied to Caleb Johnson
ever since the forty time, which wasn't bad. I just
want to throw that out there. But Joe Mixon fifty
(15:21):
six percentile vertical jump, forty fifth percentile broad jump, none
of this was amazing and it never mattered, and it's
not gonna matter for Caleb Johnson. And you look at
last year, like Naji Harris had two hundred and ninety
nine touches in this offense. Even if Warren is going
to play more of a role with a rookie next
to him, two hundred and fifty plus, that's what we
(15:44):
should be looking at for Caleb Johnson. Yeah, I think
he's gonna smash guys.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Look, I mean Derek Henry's forty time was the same
as Caleb Johnson. He turned out to be an okay
running back. So I think we kill it pretty good.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Now.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Look, he's a physical specimen, but Caleb Johnson is a
tough runner too, physical guy. He's gonna knock people over,
He's go break tackle. So, Jake, another classic mashup potentially,
do you have a for us or we're just going
with one player now?
Speaker 3 (16:06):
No, I mean this kind of sounds like he should
be part of the Marvel universe. Tyler Howard honestly doesn't
sound like an actor.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Really, it feels like, actually, Tyler Howard sounds like an
R and B singer from the early mid nineties.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
You know, Tyler Howard Brian mknight's album.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Oh totally, it was totally Brian McKnight opening act. Tyler
Howard one hundred percent still love nineties R and B.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
He's better Tyler Al's year. But he also reminded me
a bit of Jordan Howard, which ties into kind of
what Debro's saying is like, Jordan Howard wasn't the most amazing.
A lot of it was volume, and it's volume that,
like even we've seen Tyler as year be called upon
to step in as the lead, We're not getting overly
excited being like, oh my god, these are going to
be top five, top ten players because they're so amazing. No,
(16:54):
they're good running backs who are going to be volume
reliant to get RB one value, and that's what I think.
He kind of falls into RB two for this year,
and that's okay. As just you know, Derek was saying
that he's the lead in his backfield most likely. Geleen
Warren this that this draft cost wasn't extreme, but it
was enough to say the Steelers have told his time
and again they don't want jenmen Warren to be the guy.
(17:15):
No matter how much everybody clamors for him, they don't
want him to be the guy. They want him as
the time share. But like you said, Joe probably in
a sixty forty split and it's going to be the
Naje Harris role. So RB two but understand that, like that,
RB two is just gonna cap his ceiling. But that's
okay because we can only get twelve RB once.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
No, that is absolutely true. All right, Let's talk about
the wide receivers here, and let's start here with Travis Hunter,
which he might have no comm because he is such
a special player, but as a wide receiver talent alone,
Jake walk us through what you think he might look
like he could be the next two.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
I actually like this one because I had a lot
of fun with it because the middle name ties in
it's Devonte Smith and Jigba so it's Devanta Smith and
like that.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
That's very good, very good.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
He only can concerns I would have right now for
him are limited route tree and he kind of has
a little bit of Percy Harvin Marquise Lee to him
where he bails out if it's not his play, like
or if the cover just just is like you'll just
see him kind of give up. And I think that
we get to the NFL, most players learn pretty quickly
and his skill sets off the charts. I hope it's
not the Marquise Lee one where we took three or
(18:21):
four five years for it to finally get in his
head to hey, clean up my routes and keep pushing
until the end of the actually the end of the play.
But that being said, the talent's undeniable. We always talked
about in fantasy heading into the draft if we knew
he was wide receiver, only he would be in the
conversation and most likely the consensus number one wide receiver.
I bring those names up to say, top twenty right
out of the gate is likely. I'd bet top thirty,
(18:44):
Top twenty likely because only where he landed. I mean,
there's a really great wide receiver right next to him, obviously,
so like maybe they only use a ninety percent of
the time and sprinkling a little bit on defense, but
I don't even care. This is more so not so
much a concern for Hunter. This is the last last
chance for Trevor Lawrence, honestly, because if you can't do
it with Thomas and Hunter, you're not going to be
(19:05):
doing it in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
Well, the interesting point I've heard people bring up is
that Hunter has cost them more draft capital. Right, So,
Brian Thomas Junior it was great, but they really invested
in Travis.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
Thomas was underrated. That was the problem.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
I agree, underrated because he played on a great situation
with you know, another great wide receiver in a pretty
good quarterback too last time I checked, all right, So
Debro Travis Hunter will be the next two.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
I'm just gonna make this easy, guys. This is the
role that I think he plays out the gate for
Liam Cohen's offense. He's Chris Godwin. I think that you're
looking at how this passing attack is going to mash
up for this season. He is going and people aren't
talking about this enough. I don't think now correct me
if I'm wrong, guys, But like I think Travis Hunter
is going to be their starting slot wide receiver. Signing
(19:51):
Toammy Brown, you have Gabe Davis to also play the outside.
Travis Hunter, looking at his game currently and this is awesome.
This is no shade. I know people get ung up
and like, oh he's slide only and stuff. I think
Travis Hunter is probably gonna play sixty percent in the
slot and that's gonna be awesome with where his game
is right now. If you ask him to line up
and play ninety percent outside play X, we're gonna have problems.
But put him in the slot as gonna be off
(20:14):
coverage and be a ball winner. I think again, to
Jake's point, I've had a hard time ranking him outside
the top twenty four wide receivers right now in redraft,
Like right now he is wide receiver twenty two for me,
it is a narrow target tree and both him and
Brian Thomas Junior are just gonna get fed volume. Who
else is taking targets away from him? Nobody?
Speaker 3 (20:34):
Naro's gone, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Britain strange. I'm sorry. People love him, but that's not
a twenty percent target area.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Real quick, like like I'm not I don't wanna comfort
Like are you saying Deebro, are you saying top three
and the Buccaneers Chris Godwin or are you just saying like
top twenty Chris Godwin.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Top twenty four. I mean like back in wide receiver two. Okay,
I think you know, not like because top end Chris hurt. Yeah, yeah,
I'm not going that far. But like early career Chris
Godwin after the breakout, like back in wide receiver two,
maybe a shade more. If Trevor Lawrence can find his
footing this year, maybe well, it better be soon because
(21:11):
I mean, we need to figure that out sooner than
later here with Trevor Lawrence, this is a couple of years.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
We've been patient, but I think we need to see
some productivity. And I understand he's been different coaches, different
ocs for most of his career.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
It's been hurt a lot too.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Yeah, and the injuries too, So no more excuses this year.
We got to figure things out. I don't know if
Liam Cohen is the guy. I don't think he is,
but we'll find out soon. Let's find out what Tenoro
McMillan might be in the NFL Debro he's the next two.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
I'm gonna say he's the next T Higgins based off
of what we can expect out the gate and if
we all remember how T Higgins entered the NFL, it
was only him and Tyler Boyd at the very beginning,
competing with targets for each other. And if we look
at that rookie season, win Joe Burrow because that was
also the year that Joe Burrow was lost to injury.
In those first ten games with Joe Burrow, Tea was
(22:00):
wide receiver twenty seven and fantasy points per game. And
I think that's a good ballpark to look at. Ted
in his first year, like tedor Rod, McMillan should probably
be a lot. I think he finishes the year as
a low end wide receiver, two high and three touchdowns
probably shade and the and the ability of bry Shung
shade where he falls in that. But I think that
he's going to be their undispeated number one option and
(22:22):
he's going to earn a ton of targets this year.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
All Right, Jake, let's take a look at what you
think that Ted McMillan might be, because I think your
comp is the one that I've heard the most. And
I'm actually surprised that Debro didn't call him this, to
be honest with you, I.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Mean, I think his game is similar to this. I
just I'm going a little bit different route for the
for the stats and the fantasy output.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Okay, yeah, this is this is actually one that I called,
you know, pretty long ago, and then with the draft
even cemented it further because I'm going to be a
little bit lower than Debro on this one for a
little bit of a change on this show. It's Drake London.
Because if you remember Drake London talk about his star
his first two years on a points per game basis,
he was a wide receiver four like, that's how slow
he got off to a start before last year. And
(23:03):
that's why I bring it up. I do think he's
the unquestioned one, but I don't think that unquestioned one
means twenty five thirty percent target share. I think the
one could be twenty. I don't think Laget's just going
to disappear. Adam Feelin's back again. I think they have
a depth chart that you hope that Jalen Coker can
make some noise even though he was an undrafted free agent.
Everybody remember how excited Fantasy was for him last year. Well,
(23:25):
he's probably gonna get a chance. Like I just think
there's a lot of options here where Bryce Young doesn't
need to force and I actually think that's best for
Bryce Young's career, that hopefully he can continue to success
we saw late last year. But I just think that
means that McMillan's going to be a little bit slower
out of the gate like Drake London was, and this
might be year two. I don't think it'll take to
the third year. But before he gets into the top
(23:46):
twenty five, I actually have him behind Hunter. I don't
know if you do, too, Debro, but I would draft
out before I draft him. Yeah, and Redraft and I
have him barely cracking the top thirty, and like there's
even names behind him depending on what happens with the
chief situation where I could see sliding a I or
two in front of him.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Still question for you guys in Redraft, do you like
Hunter more this year or McMillan Jake Hunter?
Speaker 3 (24:06):
That's what I was saying in that Yeah, okay, Souter.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Hunter barely He's he's one spot ahead of Ted for.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Me in Dynasty, who do you prefer? Jake Hunter? Still Hunter?
Speaker 2 (24:18):
I mean it's Ted's been my wide receiver one. I
think he has the higher target commanding upside.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
But if there's the wear and tear on Travis Hunter
playing two positions too long term? What does that look like?
Speaker 2 (24:30):
I think that's sure.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Here's where I'm going to go with it. I didn't
like Hunter if he went to the Browns because the
potential coaching change if something like that happened and then
they decide to play more on defense. And then also,
even though we're making jokes about Lawrence, unless they can
find a way to trade him, the person if things
go wrong more likely not to be a quarterback next
year would be Bryce Young, not Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Good conversation. I like this all right. Let's keep the

Speaker 1 (26:03):
All right, boys, let's get to another wide receiver on
our list today, and the next one we're going to
this is a Mecca egg Buka talented guy. The pathway
is well a little dim right now, So Jake Ceely
give me, your Mecca egg Buka will be the next two.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
No fun from the guy that has a unicorn rainbow
poop emoji. Let me just put that out there on
the one with no fun on no fun.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
If that's your idea of fun, then I guess you
are fun by those standards.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
You walk right into it cely, And I was gonna say,
there's something like shade even with like confirming that anyway,
Look at.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
My shirt, Look at my unicorn rainbow.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yeah, yeah, there you go. You gotta get all.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
You're like a step away from deep.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
It's like a stude. I just I just feel like
Joe just basically like turned Jake into carrot top Is
when he was kind of like.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Well, I'm not one to talk. I got so many
gimmicks here. I mean, I'm the prop king around here. Jake,
I guess, clearly has a lot of guys potentially in
front of him on the depth chart. Maybe not as
many as we think, depending on how Godwin's injury works out.
And you know, Jalen McMillan, but what do you think
about him being the next too?
Speaker 3 (27:22):
I think he's so I said thicker Jarvis Landry Shorter,
Keenan Allen. He was a tough one to find an
exact So there he.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Goes Landry one.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
I like that one, so Keenan Landry, they like starring
on Friday Night tgif like I think that you look
at him with like inconsistent wide receiver two or three value,
but that it's volume related, like you know, we wanted
Jarvis Landry, Keenan Allen. You know they have all these
catches and all these receptions, not the biggest a dot,
not the biggest yards per reception. They get some decent
(27:50):
touchdown equity. And all that being said is the wide
receiver two or three value will be in play definitely
twenty twenty six and then maybe twenty twenty five. As
you said, probably need an injury to Mike Evans or
something happens to Chris God when he has a setback.
I think he immediately steps in front of Jay ck millan,
which is a tier for me because I love some
Jalen McMillan, but Egbuka is too good not to be
(28:11):
the number three. And then so this is somebody that
we're probably thinking about for this year mid late round stashed.
You just kind of keep them on your bench in
case something happens to the top two and then you
hope for that. But somebody wou'd be thinking about top
twenty five thirty for twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
I really like the Landry comp. That's the best comp
I've heard for him, and Lankier was a solid wide receiver.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
See, this is why we're friends, because you can assault
me and then turn around to compliment me, like rightly
for I.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
Don't know, like ten plus years now. It's been a while,
Jake Sealey. For you and me we go.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
It says something about me that I've tolerated you for
that long.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Says a lot about you, my friend, a lot of that.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
I think it's very telling on both sides of the aisle.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
I'm just going to throw that Keenan Landry definitely did
a guest spot on Family Matters at some point. Yeah,
all right, let's get to your comp. Here for Egbuka
Debro have here for the people, he's the next two.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
I'm just gonna keep this easy, man. It's JSN and
this is not the Ohio state stuff, but entering a difficult,
crowded target, try like whether it's Mike Evans, whether it's
Katot and whether it's Chris Godwin. I mean, I think
it's about the expectations that I have forg BUCA, and
I mean even bringing up JSN, that's forecasting the second
(29:22):
year breakout, dude. Like if Mike Evans comes back again,
like because everybody thinks he's gonna everybody says, oh he's
gone after this year, Dude, if he puts up another
really good season, Tampa Bay is not letting him walk
out the door. He is a career book, So it
could be a slow star for Atbuka, not only this year,
but the year after that. And looking at JSN rookie season, yeah,
(29:43):
I mean we all love the talent, but ninety three
targets wide receiver fifty six and fantasy points per game, Yeah,
I wasn't getting it done.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
And first month of last season was slow. There are a
couple of big splash performances and disappeared, right, So I
know that's actually the perfect comp I think in the situation,
the situation comp of JSN for the first year and
a half his career is really good, So that should
that should scare anybody away, barring any injuries to Evans.
But the nice thing is you get him late maybe
you get an opportunity where he ends up playing more
(30:10):
than you expect. But uh, Agbuka certainly a talent, and
I still like to pick. You know, if that's your
best guy on the board, take your best guy on
the board, all.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Right, Matthew Golden.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Another one here where Look we're looking debro at Matthew Golden.
The talent is great, but it's another crowded room. Okay
not Maybe it's a better pathway than Agbuka has right now.
So Matthew Golden is the next two.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Unfortunately, I hate to hit. I know Fitz he's probably
gonna hear this somewhere on the ether. His ears are
gonna go in right now.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
He doesn't care.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
He's happy. Matthew Golden. I think unfortunately it's Tower Lockett
and looking at rookie season Tower Lockett, I think he's
gonna walk in and play the Christian Watson role. I
think this is gonna be my moneyball wide receiver committee situation.
So unfortunately with Lockett, Yeah, he got his footing later
in later years of his career, but Ricky season wide
receiver fifty five, he got a shade under a fifteen
(31:04):
percent target share. I think those are realistic outcomes for
Matthew Golden. I just don't see the true wide receiver
one upside for him in this offensive situation, and just
based off the talent.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Well, look, I think a Tyler Lockett career, but sure
the start was a little on the slow side. So
Jake Matthew Golden is the next two.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
I actually like that because it kind of has a
machine with my mesh up mash up if I can
put all there, Nelson Macklin, Nights are taking its toll
on you. They're taking their toll. Nelson Aguilar is the downside.
And I think that's kind of something like Debro's talking about,
is that he walks into there to Christian Watson role.
But it's like, hey, one week we got production, we
don't see him for three and then he shows up
(31:43):
again a mediocre performance a big game where Jeremy Macklin's
the best case scenario is a wide receiver two who
needs somebody across from them. Now, there is plenty of
talent on this team. But I don't remember who said it,
but after the draft is like Packers just drafted an
entire room of wide receiver twos, Like they have no one,
just a bunch of twos. And that's fine for Jeremy
Macklin back in the day, if you remember, we got
some top fifteen performances from him. But is that on
(32:06):
this team, Like, is there somebody that can really help
carry that weight with him? And that's my concern with
Golden But I think this is a fair enough spot.
If Watson is out for the season, then we might
get wide receiver four value, but that's not necessarily a
bad thing. Like you can be happy with wide receiver
four value.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
Yes, you can absolutely beay with that. All right, let's
go to Luther Burden next on your list here, Jake,
Luthor Burden is the next two.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Oh man, can we get one more year down the road?
And potentially Donsay is donezo because this is the least.
This is a warning shot fired by this drafting to say, like, look,
I love some of Dunza. He was in my tier
one of wide receivers last year. But this is the
warning shot fired to say, like, hey, look out, because
this comp I said, Julian Edelman's not good enough. Garrett
Wilson's not good enough. So let's call him Julian Wilson
(32:50):
because He's like, you get the best of Edelman, you
get the best of Garrett Wilson, and mash them together.
You're getting a top fifteen potential top ten receiver. I
think Luthor Burden is amazing. The concern is where he
is because you have DJ Moore, because you have a
dune today and it's crowded room. But if the talent
wins out, We've seen this before. We've seen plenty of
(33:13):
teams that are drafted a wide receiver, not often with
round one capital, immediately lose their job. But what if
it's DJ Moore that loses his role. I think out
of the gate, you're probably looking at maybe kind of
more of the element production because it takes a year
until this clears up and he takes one of the
top two spots. But man, if you can get somebody
that's worth stashing, Like if you go back to their
conversation about at BUCA, I'd stash Burden before I stashed
(33:36):
Abuka over the ceilings.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Okay, fair enough, fair enough, new coordinator two and again
when they come in and take their guys, that's always
usually the right thing you should pay attention to. So Debro,
when you're looking at Luthor Burden, he's the next two.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
I've been lower on Luther Burden throughout the entire process.
Now looking at this landing spot, it doesn't make me
feel a whole lot better. I will give out the
best case scenario, and going back to Green Bay, I
think his best case scenario is Jayden Reid. And there's
a lot of early last.
Speaker 3 (34:04):
Year Jaden Reed as the best case, like where he
was top fifteen. Jaden Reid.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Yeah, like not twenty twenty four, but twenty twenty three,
when everybody walked into twenty twenty four feelings some kind
of way about jayde Reid. And again, I think that's
the best case scenario for Luther Burton because you're looking
at he's gonna be the slot player. And my big
question about Chicago is how much are they going to
run eleven personnel and how much is that going to
cap his route share? Because Ben Johnson last year with Detroit,
(34:33):
thirty two point two percent of their plays they ran
twelve or twenty one personnel, and we I don't think
anybody should be expecting Burden to be playing in two
wide sets. So if that's the case, you're gonna get
Loveland you're gonna get Cole Comet, who is still there
on the field. If that's the case, Luther Burton is
gonna be capped at a sixty to sixty five percent
route share. And if that's the case, then what else
(34:54):
we I mean, that's been the biggest knock for Jayden Reid,
like why don't they run more eleven personnel? Why is
he on the field all the time but he's not.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Do you think there's no window for him to surpass
a Doonzay?
Speaker 2 (35:05):
I don't think it. Two wide sets now target earning
potential and I will own this too, Jake. Like last year,
I'm with you, man, I was totally over the moon
for Roma Doonsay as far as his ability as a prospect.
I have a hard time, like I don't think that
everybody is like shading him, or I think everybody has
a ton of faith in Rome going into year two
and I don't really share that. So I think there
(35:28):
is an avenue for Loveland or Burden to jump up.
Because I'm having a hard time making any statistical argument
for Roma Doonsay this season. It's just not there in
the numbers.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Ben Johnson came in and took a new tight end
to a new wide receiver. Of the first two things
like that does not bode well for the guys in
the depth chart. Who It's fair were they already. Trey
Harris is a guy that I'm gonna have a lot
of shares of. I feel like this year, I said,
so we'll be fighting mock draft coming soon. I see
this week, So that's gonna be exciting. So Trey Harris,
debro is the next two.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
He's the next Allen Robinson. You look at okay, and
I'm not worried about Quentin Johnson. I am not worried
about Mike Williams. I think we give a Tray Harris.
He is Alan Robinson that actually found a great quarterback.
And I'm so here for Trey Harris's rookie season. I mean,
I think, can they run the ball more this year
with a Marion Hampton. It's possible. I'm not going to
(36:21):
say that it's not. But we also have to understand,
like this was not a run first offense down the
back half of last year. And we could talk about JK.
Dobbins and the running backs they did or didn't have,
but last year, weeks eight through eighteen they were seventh
and pass right over expectation. They were eleventh and neutral
passing rate. I mean you're looking at who could be
the best value in both rookie drafts and redraft this year.
(36:42):
From an upside perspective, it's Trey Harris Man. I think
Mike Williams, I'm not gonna be surprised if he just
automatically is starting over him in week one.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
That's why I'm high on him too, because I think
those bigger names were going to go before. But Tray
Harrison get at more playing time, so jigy, So does
he look like to you he's the next two?
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Yeah? I like that one, thinking some Romeo Dobbs early on,
but I was like Romeo Dobbs but with a deep game,
And like, then, who do I think of who has
like a deep game? And surprise a lot of people
last year with the Colts is Alec Pierce. So Romeo Pierce,
there you go. And yeah, and I think that I'm
with Debro like he is the number two. Let's not
even just even say there's a window open for this
opportunity is here. So Miley concernedive of not being a
(37:21):
wide receiver four as a rookie is kind of what
debro said, like, do they run more? I don't necessarily
how much more do you want to run? You're already
the one of the most run balanced teams. And what
was interesting last year is that where the one concern
might lie for me is they weren't actually very run
heavy once they got inside the ten. They actually were
one of the higher pass rate teams in there. And
now I don't know whether that's just they didn't trust
(37:41):
their guys and Dobbins and Edwards, which would be weird,
but whatever it might be is if the touchdown upside
is going to be there once they get into the
red zone, because Harris, you want that big play, Harris,
you want that upside? Does it go elsewhere? Obviously Lad
McConkie and the rest once they get into the red zone.
So that would be my one concern of keeping him
in one that wide receiver four range, all right.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
One more wide receiver and then we'll move on to
QB and tight end here. Jayden Higgins Jake is the
next two Oh.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
Everybody wants to call him the next Nico Collins on
the same team. Oh, they drafted the replicants of their
team like, I think Nico Collins is a little too high,
and I was a Jayden Higgins guy. I think this
is another one where I struggled, Like I saw the
best of Marvin Jones and the good weeks of Marvin.
I was gonna call him Marvin Moncreef, Dante Montcreef. He's
Marvin Moncreeve. So yeah, there's a there's a call back
(38:25):
there where I actually think this year, I think between
the two of we just talked about Harris and Higgins,
I would take Higgins for the wide receiver three value
and Harris is the wide receiver four. I think Higgins,
like Harris, immediately steps into the number two, and I
think if you're looking for that option to be out
there with Nico Collins, everybody's like, well, what are you're
replicating Nico Collins? They kind of need ad another wide
(38:46):
receiver Jalen Noel. Okay, so what you gave me two
Nico Collins. I'm gonna complain about two Nico Collins playing
on the field at the same time. No, I'm not
wide receiver three value. I would take them before I
took Harris.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
I'll just complain about the offensive line still not being
very good. Hebro, why don't you give me your take?
Who is the Jayden Higgins next.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
He's Adam Thielen. You're looking at a player that's probably
gonna play forty to fifty percent on the perimeter. But
that was the best good when thelan when was at
his height of his powers, he was an inside outside player.
It wasn't just sixty seventy eighty percent slot. So you
look at Jayden Higgins, and I think we're gonna see
Jadan Higgins and Christian Kirk kind of rotate from the
outside in the slot, and Niko is gonna be the
(39:24):
full perimeter ninety percent X guy. So I love Jayden
Higgins and I think he's gonna be a fantastic value.
I think we're back to last year's conversation, but tons
more value of who out of the wide receiver room
in Houston or you draft him. We did this all
last year and now this year I think we're back
there to where except the fact that outside of Nico Collins,
(39:45):
you're getting value on Jalen Noel, you're getting value our
Jalen Nong excuse me, and Jayden Higgins in drafts and
Christian Kirk, so just avoid Nico and take all the
value later.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
Okay, let's move on to the quarterbacks here, and let's
talk about Uh. Cam Ward went number one overall to
the Titans, Debro, he's the next two.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
I'm saying this, and I'm telling people to just just
hear me.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
Hey, my daughter loves the TikTok hear me out, so
everybody just hear him out.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
Realistic expectations for his rookie season. I think it's gonna
be Caleb Williams esque and a lot of are gonna
snu their nose. Yes, Okay, I think people are gonna
snug their nose at that, and they're gonna say, oh,
but the hype, the hope and all this cam Ward
stuff going one oh one and stuff. And I'm not
telling you that he's not going to be the answer
for the Titans long term. But outside of Calvin Ridley,
(40:36):
what are we talking about for weapons? You're hoping he runs,
but he's not really a rushing quarterback, so low end
QB two probably out the gate. And then next year
there's a lot of hope and and hype, possibly if
they had some more weapons for cam Ward.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
Okay, cam Ward for you. Jake Seely is the next.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
You know, he talked up Tyler Lockin. It takes a
parting shot at him, right, there were what other weapons
after they think that's a fair one. This did end
up with more of a smash up again at Kyler
Murray's with Sam Howell. So Kyler Howell because Carlin no
Kyler Murray rushing upside of the last few years six
hundred ish range, not that eight hundred range, will run
(41:15):
for his own touchdowns. But the Sam Howe park came
in because he is still risky. He makes some inconsistent throws,
he makes some choices. It's very similar to Kayleb Williams.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
You know.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
Part of the thing we saw last year with the
coordinator change and the firings is that it's just like
stop running around in a circle waiting for something and
making a stupid heaf ho throwdownfield. Maybe just take off running.
And that's why I actually think cam Ward might have
a slightly higher floor than KYLEB. Williams did his rookie
season because he will run more inherently than Caleb Williams did.
So I think peak peak you might get the good,
(41:48):
really good Kyler Murray years, but I think for year
one he's going to be back end QB two range.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
For me, Caleb Brant, he just ran backwards and then
backwards again, and trying to look for somebody to throw
to instead of just running forward and getting positive yards
drives me nuts. Anyway, Let's get to Jackson Dart. I've
been waiting all show for this. Jake, mister Giants fan himself.
Jackson Dart is than.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
That Giants fan. And this is why no smash up
comp for this way.
Speaker 1 (42:14):
You've dismissed your Giants fandom too.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
No, this has been for years, not two. Like I
put there's two different things. I put the Mets on pause,
you know this, and then they sold you.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
Again.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
No, as soon as they sold them, I came back.
The problem is you're not getting rid of the maras
I got. I got rid of the Giants the second
year of Daniel Jones, and I said I'm never coming
back because I can't get rid of the Maras because
what do they do. Congratulations, Giants fans, you finally got
rid of Daniel Jones and you drafted Daniel Jones. I
have no smash up comp. That's all you need to
know end of story.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
Let's move on the bullets in the chamber, the whole show,
and he just uh de bro, Do you have anything
more optimistic for Jackson Dart? I imagine you.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
Yeah, I got I got a lot, a lot more
optimism for Jackson Dart, the Jake. I think it's now
the question is when is he going to be starting
for the Giants this year? And Russ I think his
play level or lack thereof, is going to determine how
quick that is. I think there's an outside chance he's
starting week one. Now, that's probably not the most likely case.
(43:18):
We're probably going to see Russ for a few weeks
and then Russ fault does Russ things and he throws
a pick or he misses a receiver running over the
middle of the field because Russ has not seen the
middle of the field since two thousand and two, maybe
some time before then. But once he does that, Brian
da Ball is going to lose his mind. Jackson Dart
is going to be the starter, and I think we could.
I think it's realistic that we see bo Nick's type
(43:40):
of production from him. And I'm not saying QB one,
but what I'm saying is the passing prowess and the
rushing upside. Now the touchdowns and how good the Giants
offense is going to determine that, how high that is
or where he slots at. But I think you're going
to see a lot of bo Nicks in what Jackson
Dart does in the field, and you're one bow.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
Nicks without the touchdowns as Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (44:05):
God not from the quarterback play standpoint.
Speaker 1 (44:07):
All right, Uh, let's get to h Jalen Milroe Debro will.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
Be the next two Malik Willis And I know that
everybody that loves Jalen Milroe is not gonna want to
hear that. But I mean, bleak first round buzz dropped
into the third round of the NFL Draft. Didn't see
him as a starter outside of a cup of coffee
for a few years, and that's pretty much what we're
talking about for Jalen Milroe. Sam Donald has a lot
(44:31):
of money tied up in that contract for the next
two seasons, so he really has to fall on his face.
And I'm not saying that Sam Donald can't do that
because it's possible. We've all seen it happen time and
time again. But again true, but if Sam Donald keeps
the job, all the hope and hype over the third
round draft of quarterback is going to come crashing down
for Jalen Milroe.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
All right, Jalen Milroe. Jake is the next.
Speaker 3 (44:54):
Jayden Mariota who happened to be on the same team.
I think that Jayden Daniels' rookie season is his peak,
which I know a lot of people are like, oh, okay,
top five, he's a peak. No, But I'm saying that
as the passing side of it, Like, I don't think
I could say this confidently. I don't think Milroe is
ever going to be throwing for forty four hundred yards
and thirty five touchdowns. But the rushing upside, we're talking
(45:15):
the second best runner right out of the gate to
Lamar Jackson at quarterback. If he was the starting quarterback,
he has a thousand rushing yards up to his upside.
The Mariota concern why I bring that up is he
might be a career backup at best. That's the floor
he doesn't He needs to make better decisions, he needs
to play better. They put him in a spot to
hopefully learn. But I will say, like there's a non
zero chance that, as you just said, Sam Donald face
(45:38):
plan at the end of last year, Sam Donald face
plants with pressure.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
And what is the.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Offensive line for the Seahawks Probably the worst in the NFL,
if not bottom three. So I'm just saying, there's a
world where it doesn't even take Sam Darnald play. It
might just take Sam Darnald got killed for the fifth
week in a row, and now he's hurt that we
actually see Milroe out there. I'm not investing heavily on him,
especially in redraft. This ceiling is enormous, but we might not.
We might get Anthony Richardson. Honestly, we might get Anthony
(46:04):
Richardson where he never fixes himself. And now we're talking
back up at best.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
Yeah, project, maybe a more experienced project than Anthony Richardson,
but a project nonetheless. All right, tight ends Colston Loveland
Jake will be the next.
Speaker 3 (46:17):
I think there's some Pat Friarmth zach Ertz here. You know,
pat Ertz if you want to do the smash up.
But I really like zach Ertz. I like some Pat
Friarmouth potential touchdown side that we just saw from a
few years ago, which Colston Lovelin is that what he is.
He's like that, supremely athletic, but you get the best.
I'm giving you the best of those two. And this
was a smashup, Like a lot of my smashups were like, Okay,
worst case, best case. I think you put those two
(46:39):
together in best cases, and you're talking about somebody who
has top five six potential that we're talking about probably
for next year because of the situation of where he is.
But I think worst case he would be a tight
end one every single year, even if there's a lot
of twelve being run or twenty one also being run
with this team, But there's a potential that next year
(46:59):
that they're is a shift in this roster where all
of a sudden he's the third option behind two wide receivers,
which we just talked about earlier, might be a different
mix next year.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
On top of it, pat Ertz definitely is a manager
of an ACE hardware somewhere, definitely de Bro.
Speaker 3 (47:16):
He's working with the former Giants head coach with the
three different hair colors, Like what was what you know
what I'm talking about, Like his beard was the different
color than his mustache was a different color than his hair.
He got fired, who.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
Who are the who had the three hair colored giants?
Speaker 3 (47:33):
Let's know, it was like they did a whole skeit,
like the skit thing on him, like he looks like
the guy in and like he was like the the
Ace hardware manager was like one, yeah, yeah, we went
like the bowl slick hair and his hair was dark,
his mustache was like in between and then his bearded
like reddish and.
Speaker 1 (47:55):
Yeah, good call, well done. That's a good cap. That's
the best compy of battle show interference here, Colston Loveland
for debro, who's the next?
Speaker 2 (48:04):
I think he's Dalton kinkaid man, And I think looking
at career arc, looking at you know, we have a
really crowded target try right now. And I just worry
that Colston Lovelin's gonna be pegged into like that sixty
sixty five percent routehare like Dalton kincaid has been, and
it's a committee approach. And while the per route efficiency
is awesome, if he can't get above sixty to sixty
(48:26):
five percent as the big slot in this because again
going back to talking about Luther Burton, a lot of twelve,
a lot of twenty one possibly like not only does
that cap Luther Burton's route share. It could cap Colston Lovelin.
And for everybody that we all did this with Dawson Knox,
we all have to still understand that Cole Comet, whether
we like it or not, he's still there. He's still
(48:47):
gonna play snaps and that's going to affect Colston Lovelin.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Yeah, all right, let's talk about Tyler Warren, Debro. He's
the next two.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
Dallas Goddard and I think the low end of Dallas
Goddard like looking at him out of the gate, and
this is not a shade to talent. But again, as
far as landing spots for both these guys, it's rough, guys.
I mean, we're talking about a run heavy offense. We're
talking about it, and it's not just overall like Indy
last year was bottom three in both neutral passing rate
and red zone passing rate. So what's the out for
(49:19):
Tyler Warren? Okay, target upside bookay, Alec Pierce, Josh Downs,
Michael Pittman, even maybe ad Ni Mitchell say, hi, okay,
so that's probably not gonna be the outlet. Okay, then
touchdowns Okay, But we just described a team that wants
to run, run, run, run, every time that they get
into the red zone. And that's not gonna matter whether
it's Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones. So what's the out
(49:40):
for him? I think Dallas Goddard, maybe next year is
what you're looking at, not for twenty twenty five, but
moving forward after this is probably the upside for Teler Warren.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
Okay, all right, Jake Tyler Warren is the next two.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
Yeah, So I want to tie in with what Debro's
saying too, is like I have Love at twenty one
and Warren at twenty two. They're both outside my top
twenty four redraft. Everything I was saying about Lovelin, I'm
gonna echo with Warren, and I'm gonna give this is
in a smashup, very simple one. Trey McBride. Look at
Trey McBride's rookie season and then the second year is
where he got over one hundred targets, had a mini breakout,
and then last year third year being the real big one. Now,
(50:19):
maybe this can happen next year, depending on what happens
with Anthony Richardson and the rest of this team. But
because of that landing spot, Warren has that upside of McBride,
but it's a bad spot that might take two or
three years.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
He might be that old.
Speaker 3 (50:31):
The tight end your three breakout, which seems to be
a big thing now, is kind of both of these
guys landing this spot. I would actually say the higher
ceiling because of this, because of the potential quarterback change
everything Debro brought up about Loveland that it's probably not
going to go away from how much they share is
Warren has the higher ceiling, even though I really like
both prospects.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
