Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up, friends, and welcome into fantasy pros. This is
the Fantasy Football Podcast Quarterback and tight end ranks for
Week eleven. I'm Chris Wels. We got Pat Fitzmorris, Andrew
Erickson two shows in one as we're gonna be talking
about our top twelve quarterbacks and tight ends, all the
things in between, maybe a little bit of giveaway action. Fitzie,
what's up, buddy? How are we doing?

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Doing great? I'm excited about Week eleven, Welsh. I think
it's gonna be a fun week of football. Only one
game we're missing due to buys rather than two or three,
so it's gonna be fun.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I'm a big fan ericson of this low by week thing.
Two teams on a bye, especially the Saints, get them
out of here. We don't need any of that very much.
I think I forgot how much I enjoy not having
like a bunch of teams on buy since we've just
been getting wrecked by it.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Well, this is the one week this year where no
one has to face Jonathan Taylor, So this is your
chance to take down the Jonathan Pray on the Jonathan
Taylor teams this week. They all need to lose if
you don't have them, and obviously if you have them,
then you're probably gonna lose this week. But hey, Caitlin
mak or.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
The tough decision, do you start Danny Dimes relative to
this episode or Tyler Warren? Those will not be options
for you this week. And then there's some Saints players
that are going to be out there, but we're going
to be rolling through the quarterbacks. We got a few
quarterbacks that are outside the top twelve. Doing the same
thing with tight ends here as we are going to
be laying out the week eleven ranks for this position
before we start up. Though, we do talk about giveaways

(01:29):
on this episode. So if you want a chance to
win the ultimate symbol of fantasy glory, my friends, the
Fantasy Football Championship Belt, courtesy of our friends at Trophy Smack,
the number one destination for epic fantasy football hardware, then
this is your moment. This massive gold plated belt is
built to make a statement. It's bold, it's heavy, and

(01:49):
it's guaranteed to turn heads in your league. Don't just
win your championship, wear it to enter All you got

right now and drop a comment below on any of
the video. That's it. We'll be announcing a winner right
here on the channel. So turn on notifications so you
don't miss a chance to claim this championship belt and
flex it on your entire league. Let's go to a quarterback.

(02:13):
Speaking of flex, a little super flex action. Quarterback time.
Top twelve on the ranks this week. You guys want
to follow along, go to fantasypros dot com slash rankings
and you can also see the updates that happened throughout
the week. Here's your top twelve. Josh Allen comes in
at number one, Jalen Hurts too, Drake May all the
way up to three, Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert.
That's your top six. Bottom six of this is Patrick

(02:35):
Mahomes at seven, Baker Mayfield, Matthew Stafford, Joe Flacco, Caleb Williams,
and Jordan Love coming in at ten. A lot of
the chop quarterbacks. No decisions really need to be made.
Yes you start Drake May, Yes you start Justin Herbert.
But do you start Joe Flacco. That's going to be
a big question. He's going up against Pittsburgh Steelers, which

(02:56):
looks like a pretty good matchup. This is I think
the highest he's been ranked at ten, and you two
do not agree, FITZI, you're the one that does say
to start. You've got him at quarterback eight this week,
higher than ECR. So let's start with you.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Twenty five point four fantasy points per game with the
Bengals QB one in fantasy scoring over that time. One
of those games was against the Steelers Flaco three hundred
and forty two yards and three touchdowns in that game.
He's averaged forty three point three pass attempts and three
hundred and thirteen point five passing yards in his starts
of the Bengals, and he's thrown two or more touchdown

(03:31):
passes in all of them. And the Steelers are giving
up the seventh most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.
I feel like Ericson is ranking this based on twenty
eleven Joe Flacco when he was a game manager with
the Ravens early in his career, not the yolo Joe
Flacco that we are getting from the forty year old
version of Joe Flacco.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Well, Ericson, you love your selsom Jalen Warren this week,
whyd and you love yoursel some Chase Brown. I mean,
you know you're looking at this game. You love some offense,
you love some of the pieces. Why don't Joe Flacco?
Why are we not a big Joe Flaco at fifteen?
At fifteen, by the way you have him ranked.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yeah, So, I mean he's still a player that you
could consider as a streamer. I still think that he's
a fine starter. I think there's a lot of guys
in that conversation between the ten and fifteen range. Now,
I have a couple guys that run more than Joe
Flacco does. That give them a little bit higher of
a floor because Flacco has to throw a bunch of
touchdowns for him to hit as a QB one. And
I just feel that Chase Brown is gonna have a

(04:32):
big game. And I think if we're seeing more rushing
touchdowns than passing touchdowns, that could potentially hurt the bottom
line for Joe Flacco. And we just look at this
specific matchup. The Bengals have the twenty second and plattin
team total this week. That's not that high, that's outside
the top twenty. The Steelers pass rush has looked significantly
better over the last couple of games. They've allowed fewer
than eighteen Fantasy points to both Daniel Jones and Justin

(04:53):
Herbert in back to back weeks. And I think a
big difference in this game versus the last time that
they face the Steelers is they're not playing at home,
like they're playing on the road in Pittsburgh, not an
easy place to play. So that's just why I'm a
couple of spots down on Joe Flacco. But I still
think that he's if you're looking for a streamer, I
still think that, like what Fits pointed out how good
he has been, I think that he's still a fine

(05:14):
streamer this week.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
And you kind of alluded to it, I didn't finish
like my thought in it that you know, you have
two running backs that you guys both kind of like
in a kind of tough matchup with the implied totals
that there might be more running and maybe that was
part of why Flacco is down a tiny bit. Be
you guys definitely on polar opposites arison. We're going to
start with you because I gotta ask you this, after
last week, how can you look yourself in the mirror

(05:37):
and start Jordan Love as the top twelve quarterback. That
was another gross one QB eleven. You've got him at
he is QB twelve, So other people are doing it
fits EASi lower, which we'll talk about.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
It is the.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Giants and that is probably the number one reason. But
you tell me I would have a hard time feeling
comfortable with Jordan Love after last week.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
He's playing the New York Giants. They have the worst defense.
This is in the NFL, So yeah, I get Jordan
Love did not play great, but it was against the
Philadelphia Eagles, one of the better defenses in the NFL,
and every time you look up, they lost another offensive
playmaker or they lost another offensive lineman. So adjusting in
game is always going to be much tougher than adjusting
leading up to a matchup against a really beatable New

(06:17):
York Giants defense. I would expect Matthew Golden to at
least come back for the Packers. He didn't play against
the Philadelphia Eagles. So that's really why I think that
Jordan Love can still get it done here against the Giants,
and the Jamis Winston factor that benefits Jordan Love too,
because if this game becomes more of a shootout, back
and forth type of game. Jameis Winston truly is the
tie that lifts all boats on both sides of the

(06:38):
field because of the way that he plays and his
yolo mentality. So I still think that Jordan Love is
a decent low end QB on this week, I.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Guess I see the path fits. But also in the
same way, I would just think, like, just hand the
ball off to Josh Jacobs, do what you do, let
him play this out, let him keep scoring against that
Giants rush defense. But I think your rank is more
representative of how I feel. You've got to make QB seventeen.
So this is like the lowest of this group here,
way out on him being a start of a quarterback

(07:08):
this week.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Yeah, and I haven't soured on Jordan Love overall. I
still think he's pretty good. But right now the Green
Bay passing game might just sort of be at low
EBB with some of the injuries they're dealing with. Romeo
Dobbs now is a chest injury. That's a problem if
he can't go, because then it's you know, Matthew Golden
New really hasn't done much of anything, and Christian Watson
as his top two receivers, and he's already lost Tucker

(07:32):
Craft for the season. And the Packers also lost center
Elton Jenkins to a lower leg fracture. He's probably their
second best offensive lineman. So on top of the injuries,
the Packers' offense tends to skew run heavy. I just
I don't think it's a great spot for Jordan Love
this week.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
JJ McCarthy, is this a really good spot this week?
We are actually going to go back to our dear
friend Ericson, because Ericson you seem to think, so JJ
McCarthy has got an ECR of QB seventeen. You have
him as a top ten quarterback this week, So lay
out the JJ McCarthy love.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
It's playing the Chicago Bar. I'm just playing the matchups here, guys,
like I'm targeting these terrible defenses with my quarterbacks. The
Giants defense sucks, and I think that the Bears defense
is really really bad. We talked about on the Wide
Receiver Show, Fitz loves Justin Jefferson. How's Jefferson going to
get there if JJ McCarthy doesn't do anything. So McCarthy
adds value as a rusher. He has at least twenty

(08:30):
five rushing yards in three of his four starts this season.
It's a top three matchup in terms of quarterback points
allowed for the Chicago Bears. The Bears are twenty seventh
in EPA against quarterbacks scrambles this year. And look the
McCarthy experience. I think this captures it the best. So
per PFF, JJ McCarthy is top five in big time
throw rate this season. He's also top three in turnover

(08:50):
worthy play rate this season, So I think that really
does a good job of capturing the JJ McCarthy experience
where he drops dimes at points like some of the
throws he made to Jalen Naylor last week, It's like, man,
that's a great throw, and then he makes other throws
They're like what is this guy doing? Like like, you're
just baffled by some of the inaguracy with some of
these tosses. But against Chicago in a game where he
finishes a QB one and essentially one quarter back in

(09:13):
Week one against this bad Bears defense, I'm buying into
the matchup, the rushing upside and the elite playmakers playing
at home. Yeah you mean and McCarthy as a top
ten gods.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Week, FITZI you're not, or maybe we'll have a change
of heart. I don't know. It is a good question.
How does Justin Jefferson succeed at that level if JJ
McCarthy is not a top inside the top twenty quarterback,
which you have him at QB twenty.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, can we really say I love Justin Jefferson when
I'm ranking him wide receiver seven on the week, This
guy who's been perpetually drafted as a top three wide
receiver since coming into the league. I like him just
because I have faith in Justin Jefferson, and I do
think that Justin Jefferson could still have a big game
even with JJ McCarthy, even though I don't trust j

(10:00):
Jim McCarthy at all. I'll bet he also ranks in
the top five and passes thrown directly into the arms
of defensive linemen, because that's another thing he seems to
like he just can't figure out where throwing lanes are.
There have been a lot of frustrating things. And I'm
not even a Vikings fan obviously as a Green Bay
Packers fan, but like he is a tough watch man,

(10:21):
like I still have hope. It's early in his career.
I'm not going to judge a guy after four NFL starts.
And he does rip some incredible throws, like arm talent
is not a problem, but I also wonder about the touch,
Like I don't think he can't layer throws like Drake
May can. He doesn't.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
I don't know what he can.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Yeah, I mean like comparing him to Drake May. But
like even when I watch cam Ward, I have a
lot more hope for cam Ward than I do for
JJ McCarthy right now. So I guess I should probably
consider because the Bears do have a release suspect pass defense,
they're having trouble generating a pass rush. They don't have

(11:01):
their two best cornerbacks Jalen Johnson or Kyler Gordon. But
I still worry that the floor with JJ McCarthy is
frighteningly low.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
I'm closer to Fits on this than ericson as far
as like the trustworthiness of just playing the matchups. Because
JJ McCarthy he does have some moments we were like,
oh baby, because he could still go to twenty two touchdowns,
But like if he also threw three picks in this
and brought that down, you probably wouldn't be too surprised either.
One other quarterback that is really low down in the

(11:35):
ranks except for you guys to a tongue viol like
quarterback twenty two in ACR. You guys are in the
teens sixteen and fourteen respectively. FITSI why don't you lay
it out? I think you guys kind of started to
throw this a little bit with the wide receiver episode
and based on this matchup. But what do you like
in two of this week?

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I love his matchup against the Washington Commanders, who ranked
thirtieth in defensive EPA per play, who have the highest
opponent passer rating in the league, who are giving up
eight point nine yards per pass attempt. No other team
is giving up more than eight point two passing yards
per attempt the Commander's passed he has just been atrocious.

(12:14):
And two has actually been pretty good over his last
three games sixty nine percent completion rates and seven point
three yards per attempt, six touchdowns. So I just I
love the matchup.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Here ericson, This looks like he's going to be a
popular streaming quarterback this week. If you did lose Danny Dimes,
you know, you're not worried about the Saints quarterback that
you lost, But if you were trying to stream a
quarterback this week, Tuas seems like he might be. I mean,
maybe JJ McCarthy is your prime guy, but Tua is
at least going to be number two on that list.
You've got him at fourteens, you have him as a
top fifteen quarterback.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Joy So I Fiesta Dolphins in Madrid against this terrible
Commander's defense. I think that Fits laid it out perfectly
again playing the matchups with some of these pocket passers
this week. With Tua, I think that he's shown that
he can throw multiple touchdowns against bad defenses. And I
don't think the Miami Dolphins are going to hold up
when they know they can score points against the Commanders.
So yeah, two, I think is a solid streamer this week.

(13:07):
And I think that I'm glad Me and Fits are
both above ECR on him, because I think this is
pretty clear that just Commander's defense is just so bad,
so bad, and even when Tua was playing at his peak,
like this is always a matchup where their favorites, they're
playing against the bad team, like the Dolphins pray on
the week. That's really where Mike mcdaillis had his most success.
It's when they have to go on the road to
Buffalo Outdoors as massive underdogs. That's usually when they struggle

(13:29):
in to a place badly. When they're again they're not
at home here because it's a neutral field, but against
the bad defense, I think that you can have some
faith in two of this week.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Let's go over to the tight end ranks here. Your
top twelve for the week. Coming in at number one
is Trey McBride. Looks even better. There's no Marvin Harrison,
so million targets for him against the forty nine ers.
Brock Bowers at two, George Kittle at three, Ronde Gadson
at four, Jake Ferguson, and Sam Laporta at Your top
six seven through twelve is Dallas Goddard, Travis Kelcey, Kate Atten,
Kyle Pitts, Dalton Schultz, and Mark Andrews. Travis kelce tight

(14:03):
end eight on this list, and you guys are split.
Fitzi's the high guy, Ericson's the low guy. So Fitzy,
let's hit it with you. Top five, Travis Kelcey. It's
a throwback week. Going up against the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Yeah. So since Week five, Kelsey is tight end five
in Fantasy points per game. He's averaged five point two
catches and seventy one point six receiving yards a game
over that stretch, And I think the matchup could maybe
work in Kelsey's favor this week because the Broncos are
murder against wide receivers, but not necessarily against tight ends.

(14:34):
They've given up the thirteenth most receiving yards to tight end,
so it's not like they're being drilled by tight ends.
But I think this might be the path of least
resistance for Patrick mahomes Erickson.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
You have him at eleven though, so you were lower
than consensus. So he's just barely a tight end one.
Who's like the Who's tight end ten for you? Is
it Shultz?

Speaker 4 (14:54):
Like?

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Who do you like more? Schultz or Kelsey?

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Kelsey? Kelsey? Okay, I like Hunter Henry this week because
Austin Hooper's not going to play.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yeah, we're going to talk about him.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Yeah, So that's the guy like over Kelse because I
like his touchdown odds more than Kelsey's this week. Because
the thing with Kelsey with me is just I'm concerned
about the target volume with Roshie Rice back the last
three weeks, just a sixteen percent target share, and what
Kelsey has done, He's ripped off a lot of big plays.
So over the last three games, he's averaged seventeen yards
per catch, which is not typically what you expect to

(15:25):
see from a thirty five year old tight end. So
if he's no longer ripping off these massive catch and
run plays, which he traditionally doesn't do at this point
in his career, then I think that he's more of
a floor play, and then you're just banking on does
he score again attached to Patrick Mahomes usually have pretty
good touchdown odds, but collectively against a tougher Denver Broncos defense,
maybe this isn't the week that Kelsey finds pay dirt.

(15:46):
So that's just why I'm a little bit lower.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Kyle Pitts ECR ten and you guys are both above
consensus this week. I'm not sure, like by a dramatic degree.
Ericson a little bit more. Here, Zax, why don't you
hit that you got him at tight end seven? You're
going down the well here does that and you have him?

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (16:04):
You've got Pits over Kelsey this week, So what do
you think about Kyle Pitts.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Third and tight end target share over the last month.
So he's seeing a ton of volume, a ton of
opportunities in this offense. The Falcons have been a disappointment
more often than not, though over the last couple of weeks.
I know Michael Penick has missed the game. The passing
game has been really inconsistent. But the thing I'm feel
most confident about is it's clearly Kyle Pits over Darnell Mooney. Right.
The Mooney thing has just been an absolute disaster this

(16:30):
season with Michael Pennick. So Pitts has at least ascended
himself to number two pass catcher, not including Jean Robinson.
He has three catches in every single game except for
last week. So and even last week he had opportunities.
He dropped, He had a really bad drop on a
play that could have been a long touchdown game and
the Michael Penicks missed him in the end zone. So
I'm really just tasting the opportunities with Kyle Pitts, Like
he's had the opportunities to put up better fantasy numbers,

(16:53):
and it's a positive matchup against the Carolina Panthers, who
have been one of the ones to attack with tight
ends this season. So I wouldn't get too bogged down
about the game score or the box score from the
last time they faced the Panthers, because the Falcons is
totyly laid an egg on the road. They lost thirty
to nothing, like nothing really went right for them in
that game. They're playing at home. That's where I mean.
The Falcons haven't played at home in three weeks, right,
They've been on the road at New England playing internationally.

(17:15):
They play better in the Dome, So I would expect
Pitts to have a solid game here because he's had
a solid floor. Maybe we get a ceiling performance, maybe
finds the end zone Pitsy.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
It is a good matchup. That's like one of the
big things that stands out. Even if Pitts doesn't like
jump off the page, it's a pretty good matchup. So
you got them slightly above ECR. What do you think
about Pitts this week?

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Yeah, Carolina has given it up to tight ends, maybe
not to the extent that they did in twenty twenty four,
but still it's a favorable matchup, and just I love
that it's such a skinny target tree for the Falcons.
It's basically Drake London and Kyle Pitts, and I think
Michael Pennox is learning that throwing the Darnell Mooney is
just massively negative ev at the stage, so hopefully it's

(17:56):
just London and Pitts. Pitts is averaging seven point eight
targets over his last four game, so that's you know,
like he hasn't really paid it off with any big,
big games, but he does have a pretty sturdy floor
and there's the possibility of a blow up game I
think against the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Final tight end is Hunter Henry. As mentioned before, he
is the twelfth tight end on this list. Ericson is
higher we we'll talk about in a second, but FITZI,
you've got him right at ECR. I'm a little soary
on Hunter Henry because it's I don't know, it's just
touchdown equity, like that's been about it. Like the volume
kind of seems to kind of float away because they've
got four different wide receiver targets on any given week.

(18:35):
Trebon's going off like it is touchdown or bust. Kind
of with Hunter Henry. But what do you think fits?

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yeah, you just don't know when Hunter Henry is going
to pop off. And since Week five, he's averaged two
point five catches and twenty eight point eight yards a game,
with only one touchdown over those six games. But I
think I do have to move him up at least
one spot. I didn't realize Austin Hooper was going to
be out this week, so might be worth a couple

(19:01):
extra targets for Hunter Henry.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
And it sounds like Ericson has accounted for that. You
got to meet eight, So top eight tight end for
Hunter Henry this week?

Speaker 3 (19:10):
Fit you asked, you don't know when he's going to
pop off Thursday night against the Jets at home. That's
then Hunter Henry's going to pop up. Hooper is going
to miss his game with a concussion. And I talked
about on The Wide Receiver Show when I was waxing
credit bets Dafon Diggs. Who's the best bet to throw
for at least two touchdowns this week and every week
is Drake May So I feel pretty good about Henry's
odds to score this week. So you wagering on this

(19:31):
game anytime touchdown Hunter Henry, it's gonna be plus money.
Get on it.

I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
