Speaker 1 (00:01):
Yet get no boys. It's back and reloaded all in
your mind. Yeah, now deep through that. This is for
the streets, the reel, the railroading, the distant franchise, the truth,
the scapegoating, and they ain't knowing we speak the truth,
so they ain't quoted because we wrote it. The North
South East Coat g B B for keeping your head
bobbing it ain't no stopping and wants to be tricks

(00:23):
head by then the system is so corrupt they throw
the rock out their heads and then blame it on us.
Don't get it twisted on code and me and dancing
for no buttament biscuits. It's Willie d y'all scar faces
in the building. Collectively, we are to get old boys
reloaded with another episode of information and instructions to help

(00:45):
you navigate through this wild, crazy, beautiful world. In the
studio w b O Junior Lightweight Champion of the World
Course Stevenson. Also in the studio his manager Ja Prince.
Welcome to the show again again, Hey man, We're glad

(01:08):
to be here. Man. I'm I was just reminiscent. I
remember y'all was your cool age and I was younger
than y'all, but I was, I was your cool agent,
Willie d. And the point is it was a long
time and we've been knowing each other for a long
time and we got going on. I was way younger,

(01:30):
will I was a little younger. We was you was
you was your cour age? Yeah yeah, yeah, And I
was like, yeah, but Schakole was what about eighteen when
I met him? Eighteen eighteen? Yeah, well I was seventeen,
so yeah, So so how so what happened? What happened first? Like,

(01:51):
so this in two thousand and seventeen, you turned pro?
You you was managed by andre Ward? How did you
go for being managed by andre I was managed by
j Prince andre Wood. Okay, so it was andre Ward
and Ja okay, okay, so then then andre andre okay,

(02:12):
I got you Okay. So so andre retired and then
Jay laughman standing yeah, yeah, you know, we all was
a team. You know, we all started off. We was
excited about being in business with Cool because we was
like monitoring him and his amateur career, you know what

(02:32):
I mean, And he was standing out like a soul
thorm from all the rest of him. And of course,
you know, he went on to win the silver medalists
with the twenty sixteen, So we're just waiting on him
to land back in America right right, right right after
Andrea Ward, one of the greatest to ever do it. Sure,

(02:52):
now you got the big fight coming up April thirty.
This fight everything goes like we plan it to go.
It's gonna change your life forever. Like this is a
huge fight with Oscar Valdas April thirty, MGM Grand Laws, Vegas,
the biggest stage in boxing, all eyes on. She Core Stevenson,

(03:18):
what's that like? Man? That feeling? I mean, I feel
like it's just another moment like in my life where
I feel like I found I'm gonna take over the world.
I feel like one of the best fighters ever one
day and I feel like this just a moment, you know, Yeah,
I gotta do what I gotta do. I gotta take
advantage of the moment. I feel like I've been waiting
on this moment my whole career. I've been waiting to

(03:41):
get the w BC strap. I've been waiting to unify
the division. I've been waiting to fight another thord buried
fighter where I could show like I'm the most third
rare fighter. So I'm excited I can't wait, and I
got a lot of time to go. I gotta put
put some work in the perform. And you've been actively

(04:02):
calling out Oscar I want you, I want him, I mean,
I mean, especially after you you stopped Jamal Karen, you like, yeah,
I want him, coming to get him. And then it happened,
Like how shoot? Were you that it was going to happen?
Because you know this boxing negotiations can be a hassle.

(04:23):
I wasn't too short because I kept hearing like he
wanted to fight somebody else, So, uh, it seemed like
he didn't really want to fight me. Um, we're supposed
to fight before he vacated the belts that of fighting me,
So I wasn't too sure that he was going to
sign up to fight. But I guess now he's with
Canelo team and they got a whole team, and I
guess his team probably forcing him or telling him to

(04:46):
take the fight. And now we're here. Yeah, Jake, when
it comes to like boxing and getting these contracts done, man,
what do you think is the biggest hold up? Oftentimes? Well,
a lot of times, Uh, these fighters try to hide
behind you know what I mean, somebody you know they
are either overbearing themselves or different things like that. You know,

(05:10):
they go with fol the public and I want him,
I want him, I want him, And then they asked
for astronomical number that they know they can't get, just
to be able to try and uh save face value.
But you know, like boxing, what's interesting is the music
world in boxing. You know when I like transition from

(05:33):
the music world in the boxing I was right at
home because both of them cutthroat business. I was gonna
ask you, man, I was gonna ask you about that,
and you already beat me to the punch. I was
gonna ask you about the similarities between boxing and music
to cutthroat businesses that involves us, you know what I mean?

(05:53):
So we we all from yeah, so we know how
to communicate with one another whatnot. In the boxing world,
the music it's a shark infested environment, you know what
I mean, and you have to learn how to swim
with the sharks. And both worlds. Right. So I know
that Kor is a very talented fighter and you know, yes,

(06:18):
like impeccable skills in the rain. But what besides that
drew you to Schakoor because you could sign anybody wanted
that's available out there. Well, when I when I look
at Shakoor, you know I had an opportunity to work
with great fighters be for you know, like Maywell, andre Ward,

(06:40):
you know Roy Jones. And when you like have opportunity
to work with those fighters, then you see the truth.
You see that desire, You recognize that same heart, those
killing instincts and different things. Then you know, oh, he's
gonna do what they've done all above and beyond. So

(07:00):
you get excited about that because you don't see it
in many fighters. Many are called for. You're chosen. So
cool is what I consider a chosen one, you know
what I mean? And uh he uh his work ethic
matches his condition, any skill set, you know what I mean.

(07:21):
It's one thing to have that talent and not have
that discipline to compliment that talent, you're gonna be in trouble.
So he got the whole package. And when you have
the whole package like that, you get rewarded because you
ain't looking for no short cuts. Right. So let's talk
about just being on that big stage. Does that scare you?

(07:46):
Does that make you nervous? Do you have the gilis
when you're walking into the rings now I feel like
pressure the bust pipes or make diamonds. I feel like
at the end of the day, I feel like I
feel like I'm a dyet and like, look at it,
I put the working in the gym. I feel like,

(08:07):
if I put the working in the gym, then it
gotta come through on fight night. Like if I'm sparring
good and I'm feeling good, I'll put my mouths in.
I'm not gonna get tired when I go out there
and I see that crowd. I don't like fold. I
don't I don't get nervous. I I kind of like,
I tell myself, it's just another day in office, it's
another day in the gym. So I look at it

(08:29):
like I'm just in the gym doing what I've been
doing there. That's just my mindset personally. So let's look
at the teller to take he has. You have a
two inch reach advantage over here. You have a two
inch height advantage over him. He's five five five seven this.

(08:51):
You also have an age advantage over him. He's thirty one,
you're twenty four. What he has is what a lot
of people, uh who feels like that he has a chance.
You know, and the beating you is that he has
the experience, yes, twice as many fights as you, and
he has twice as many knockouts. How do you overcome that?

(09:14):
I mean, that's just stuff on paper. And then we're
being really like, I feel like, um, I'm not gonna
sleep on him. I understand that he's like he's a threat.
He never lost before. He always tried to do whatever
it takes to win. But sometimes you you go up
against your match, like you meet your match, and I

(09:36):
feel like, I'm a what's superior fight? I'm a I
got better skills than him, I'm a smarter fighter, I'm
I got hard I'm a dog at the day. That's
what people don't understand about me too. But I just
feel like, you know, once he getting there and he realized,
like this guy is better than me, he gonna have
one choice is to sell out and try to do
whatever it takes to win there. But then he gonna

(09:57):
be down too many rounds. I feel like I'm might
be right there in front of them and hit him
with that heat. So yeah, yeah, yeah, did you ever
have to hit somebody with the heat in the streets?
You know, when you're before you got, Yeah, I got.
I got in a couple of fights before, but yeah,
I definitely had to like put some people in their
place before. Yeah. Yeah, and you're the oldest, right yea

(10:21):
out of nine key boring leader, natural leader. Yeah. How
much pressure do you think that you put on yourself
to make sure everybody else in the family is all right?
I feel like I got a lot of friends on
me when it comes to that, But I feel like
I had that on me like my whole career late
when I was an amateur, Like you go back in

(10:41):
and read my articles, like you hit me saying like
I want to provide for my brothers and sisters like
I was like fifteen years old. I'm saying that, and
I did it, and now I still I'm still doing
that at the end of the day because families everything
to me. And I like being I like having that role,
being that that guy in my family. I like being
the person that could put food on the table and

(11:03):
all that kind of stuff because I feel like God
put us in in this position for a reason. Then
I feel like that was the key reason he put
me in this position. So it Jay when you when
you when you saw she cool man did you think
about when you was looking at my ship, at my
career and my moves like and my songs and because

(11:24):
like Ja came and saw me out. You don't know,
you don't know this story, Willie. But Jay pulled up
to the crib man out of nowhere and were like, man,
who is this? We don't even know who they was?
And pull up at the but but but no, I'm listen.

(11:45):
So I mean, like, did you you you saw the hunger?
Or most definite, yeah, it has to exist in all
of us in order, you know what I mean, it
becomes successful. It got to be some kind of power
that's greater than that power to make you lazy and
not want to do nothing, you know what I mean.
So we all will have it. What we do with

(12:07):
it is a whole different thing. But most definitely you
had it. We all had it, you know what I mean.
That's the only reason we would show up and grinding
together for so. Yeah, well here you see how he
was pressing me on the phone like, well yet, yeah
you next, Yeah, I'm right here man. You said that
ten minutes ago. Yeah, I'm right here here. You gotta

(12:32):
you gotta, you gotta a hell of a dude man
advising you, you know, with wisdom and and and you know,
just understanding. Just sit and listen to it. Sometimes it's
not gonna make sense sometimes, but when you sit back
and Jesse gonna be like, damn, well, the ship actually
makes sense. Sometimes it's that just when you're resistance. Yeah yeah,

(12:55):
and sometimes your maturity you have to catch up right,
stand right right right, yeah, but we got and then
you're just playing seeds up until that happened. Voice reloged
podcasts will be right back after the point. Are you

(13:19):
from New or New Jersey that's where you grew up? Right? Yeah?
What was that like for you? What was that experienced? Like,
I mean, I feel like it was experienced that I
was supposed to be in, Like I feel like I'm
from the trenches. Like so, I feel like God put

(13:40):
me there for a reason. Like I know, you know,
it was hard coming up, like all right, my mother
got nine kids, I'm the older soul. We're living in
the projects. It was hard, but I feel like God
put me there for this outcome right here. When your
mom had to lead the house and and go work
or whatever, but did she leave you in charge? You

(14:02):
have to watch the other kids, you can go outside
and play and stuff like that. Oh yeah, mos, definitely
I had to be that person until they got to
a point where I started, Uh well, I really would
have been going to the gym, but like I started
going to a gym at different times, so we had
to like improvise. My little sister is what a year
younger than me, and she had to be that person
at the meet because I had to go to the

(14:24):
boxing gym and putting work in the boxing gym. So
we definitely had we did. We didn't took turns when
it came to that, but yeah, we definitely did that. Now,
was your dad in the picture? My real father? Like
mm hmm, I think it like my blood father. I
didn't know him like that. I met who when I

(14:45):
was twelve, and then the next time I met him again,
I was of like seventeen, seventeen eighteen. My real father,
like the person who took care of me since I
was a toddler, like in the hospital with me, Like
that's my real fact. That's who I look at a
my father. But he uh, he's like end and out
of jail that time, so he ain't really like you know,

(15:07):
he wasn't really there at certain times. But at certain times,
you know he was dead. But who mean my mother
wasn't together. Who introduced you to boxing? My grandfather you
talk to fight? Yeah, my grandfather. That's that's still my
coach today. Like that, he like he will go to
me like because at the end of the day, he
was one of the persons I feel like he believed

(15:27):
in me the most. Like it was a lot of
people ain't really leading me, like they didn't understand how
far I could take boxing, But like from the jump,
he had always been telling me like especially I was
and he bragged about me to everybody still to this day.
So do you remember the first day you put on
some boxing gloves and you lay those things up a punch? Yeah?

(15:48):
I remember. I was five years old and I came
in the gym. Man. Uh. I remember punching the bag
and there was this guy he was trying to show me,
like how to punch, but he kept saying like I
was a natural. Then my grandfather he kind of took
over from there, right, All right, are you looking to
do anything outside of boxing? Yeah? Most most definitely, I

(16:12):
feel like, um, I want to be uh because box
ain't gonna be here forever. So at the box, I
want to be able to do a lot of stuff
with business, with real estate, a lot of different things.
But right now I'm trying to focus more so on
the boxing. So but we're gonna get there, like we're
gonna got Jade with us. And you know, he one

(16:32):
of the smartest person that I didn't ever met, one
of the realst people that I've done met. So I
was just watching like the way he moved by taking
my little notice, and we're gonna get there one day. Yeah, yeah,
and do and do it. It's important. I'm glad you
said that because you can go back and watch this
film and other people start getting in your ear because
that's coming. You know, like they won't put the work

(16:54):
in in the beginning, they won't, they won't make any sacrifices.
But the moment you get hot, they're gonna be all
over you. And everybody got all the greatest ideas. After
you get hot, everybody knows what you should be doing now,
you know, everybody is ready, you know, And so it's
important too. You know, you know the fire, yea, by

(17:21):
the fire, that's a good way to put it. Stay
stay back, stay close to the fire man, because you know,
it's it's a bunch of it's a bunch of mouth
there that they're gonna come and and not just it's
not just the people that try to you know, sway
you you know, so they can get in your pockets
or whatever. But you know, you also have people that

(17:42):
out there that are gonna try to introduce you to
that life. You know I'm talking about you know, drug
addiction and you know, fast women and all that kind
of ship. That ship is dangerous. If you really want
to like build an empire like you know I think
you do, and you know, it's gonna be very very
important to stay focused because you know, the in my opinion,

(18:08):
it's two things that a man must learn to control,
and that's his emotions and his dick. If you can
do that, the world really is yours. You can go
as far as you you know, as far as you
want to go. Yeah, yeah, do you have any what's
what's the sibling breakdown count in your family? Sibling breakdown?
I could go from uh, what is it twenty like

(18:29):
the age? No? No, no, no, the gender is boy,
my little sister? Then always two girls, two girls. So
any other other boys boxing, Um, my little brother be
coming to the gym right now and then but not
yet they like my younger siblings, or they want to,

(18:50):
but then they like, you know, kind of hard work,
I guess, right right, So so Jay, like, what's your
hands for Shakoor? You know, uh, give me boxing first
and then get me like what what do you see?
Like where do you see him going from here? Um? Well,

(19:12):
I don't think there's no limits on where he can go.
It's it's like what's inside of him after I shall
wisdom with him, you know what I mean, because it
has to be inside of him and his vision and
I compliment what his dreams and visions are. You know,
that's important. And Shakoor at this stage is like real shaw,

(19:37):
you know what I mean. He want to diversify his portfolio.
You know, he asking the right questions even right now,
you know why he's boxing, but he just understands that
things have to be prioritized. So he's not gonna allow
nobody to like shift his focus before his time to

(19:58):
you know, shiftest focus. But you know I see him
being uh definitely a star where boxing is concerned. And
from there, you know, I think he's gonna be a
great business man. I know he's gonna be one because
we're gonna make moves together, you know what I mean.
So yeah, I feel like, you know, I'm working with

(20:19):
the best, and I feel like he working with the best,
and you know, the sky is a limit for us.
Speaking of moves, with I giving us the exact game plan,
what do you anticipate happening when you get inside of
the ring? What do you anticipate on doing to neutralize

(20:40):
the threat known as Oscar Valdez. I mean at this point, um,
we haven't really started training camp yet, so I can't
really tell you. I know, I sit down with my
grandfather when we get a training camp, we kind of
watch film and see, you know, what he likes to do,
what he don't like to do, if he want to
press me. Really, my grandfather do all like thinking and

(21:03):
coming up with the game plan. I just going there
and have fun and do what I've been doing. But
I know the key objective every fight, what I was
taught from a child to now is and don't be
hit so well, because we're hitting, then we don't be
don't get hit. I mean, we went to every fight
I was gonna ask you about you know, you're concerned

(21:25):
about getting hit because you know, if you're watch enough
putting you out there, you know you're see enough stuff,
reading enough stories. That's a lot of tragic stories of
boxers losing it, you know after fighting. I mean, I
know fighters who had the noodles knocked at years old
can't remember anything and turn around, motor skills are just gone.

(21:47):
You know, how concerned are you about something like that
happening to you. I'm not too concerned with that because
I feel like we're gonna check the stat seats, check
the numbers. I feel like I got the best defense
in boxing, Like my defense is the best part about me.
And I don't like taking punish me. So if I
get hit with one shot, I'm probably not gonna get

(22:09):
hit with that shot for the rest of the fight.
Ever been hit, hit, been rocked? I ain't never been hurt,
I ain't never been down, I ain't never been good,
have been down an amateurs never keep it keep it
down down. Uh, you're seventeen and old. He's three d
n oh, somebody's oh has got to go. Let's go,

(22:32):
and it won't be man. You got this. I got
this trusting. I love the confidence. I believe you man,
I believe you man, because you are too You just ready,
You're just drown You want to squabble all the time.
Man's like when you're sitting down on the place, spade.
No matter how bad I beat you, man, you just

(22:54):
keep coming back. He's not he's mad. Is not a
good space do that. But you have to do is
get stronger. What you and what you do. He's not
very difficult to beat. Trust me. I know. But you
know you was on my team, but you know but
what it was on his team. This is what I'm

(23:15):
going to hold on. But here's what I'm saying. You
know how, sometimes you know how, sometimes you can just
get a real good hand. Man, he had a real
good hand. Cople of games? How many he had a
real good hand and come to games? And did he
try to and then he try to ride and he
tried to ride with you straight up, Partner was trying

(23:36):
to making some mistakes out there. I made one mistake.
I made one mistake that was a big mistake. You
can't make no mistakes. Okay, okay, okay, one mistake. You

(23:58):
know what, you know what I'm ready for I'm ready
for a rematch whenever you're ready. And I think we
should go back to the exact same place where it
went down. That's it. It needs to go down the
exact same place. And what you want that rematch to
be rematched? Yeah, you know, you know I want to

(24:19):
go back to your to your carib Jay. I want
to go back to the house because I want that
ride back to be fucked up for you. I want
you to be so I want you, I want you
to be the whole time. And it's night time. You

(24:43):
know what, you want to go out to the to
the place until you see this big ass snake? Did
you see that snake? That was the man? Jay had
a rattlesnake about seven teen feet long, only goddamn driveway
on the side of the driveway. So I get out
the trunck. I looked down. I'm like, what in the
fun is that? Say? Yeah, that's a rattle snake. I'm like,

(25:07):
oh yeah, So you know he just doing cowboy and
blue jeans, you know, tank top out that cut grass.
What's wrong with due? Myself? Like, man, he must he
cut gray feeling snakes. Yeah, I'm talking Willie Man. I
got a picture with my phone. But that snake was

(25:28):
this fucking big and Uncle Larry could the tail off
of it. He got the rattle man. You know what exactly? Man,
I got some I got something for Uncle Larry Man.
And you know he was talking shit about my weight
last time I went out there. What happened? Yeah, that
was was What was that? That was not? Now that

(25:48):
wasn't Mike. Now it wasn't Mike. I'm thinking, Lord, no, not,
that was Florida. And look that's it. That's it. That
was flowed that. It was guaranteed floor. You remember Jay,
he was standing up that looking at me like she like,
you need to lose some weight. And you know what,

(26:10):
I appreciate it because I went. I went straight to
the gym the next day and I got it straight.
So I'm solid now, you know what I'm saying. Thanks
to that criticism, you know, but it was constructive criticism,
But I just didn't like how you said it. He
said it like he was looking down on me. I
want to see y'all at the fight. I'm going already going, man,
I'm definitely going. You know what I'm doing, right, We

(26:33):
already talked about it all. Yeah, fighting night April a
fighting night, April April thirty. That's fantastic. Yeah, you're represent
the Latinos, you know what I mean? And she col
paul as Puerto Rican. Oh yeah, and his mama. So

(26:53):
we're coming all the way, you know what I mean?
Deep Deep who bore the Rican side the black side
old team knows it's gonna be a real walk going
on in the building. Your name, You're you're entire name.
It's Ashacore Fee not Fisia He Stevenson. Who named you?

(27:21):
And what does your name mean? My name really my
mother and my father, who's like my father. They came
up with that name. It was it was a Muslim name.
My father he's a Muslim, but my blood father. Like
the thing is, like I can't explain like this whole

(27:42):
thing to y'all because like my blood father used to
like deport that's the person that I didn't really know,
I man when I was my real father is like,
that's he Muslim. So that's where like my name came from.
It's name is yeah, but that's my uh that's my

(28:06):
middle name. Like so I'm basically named after my father
basically with a shal core, which is my mother loved
the nation. Of course she used to like Tupac two right, right, right,
so that it comes at of responsibility being named after Tupac.

(28:27):
You know, yeah, okay, okay. So so at this stage
of the game, you know you you got the name,
you know you are, you got the skills. Uh where
where where do you see this fight going? I mean,
do you see this fight? This is gonna be a

(28:49):
very aggressive fight. In my opinion, I think this is
gonna be one of them. I think this I'm gonna
go ahead and said I think this one is gonna
be one of the best fights of this is fight.
This is the fight that fight boxing fans want to see.
We want to see the best fight the best. And
you guys are fighting to unify the junior lightweight division.

(29:11):
The last time that happened was in two thousand five
with with the great uh brera uh this guy you know,
Marco Barrett, Marco Killer. You know. The last time that
happened was two thousand five. And this is always one
been wanted like one of the like wink. I can't

(29:31):
remember who we fought to get it, but that was
that was the last time it was. That's the last
time that it was unified. If you handled up, will
you handle your business on April thirty, there's a very
good chance that you're gonna be You're gotta be in.

(29:52):
You gotta be in the runnings for Rain magazine Fighter
of the Year. Man. It also was unified with Floyd
Maywell and did go corralis b f w BC what
it was at the MGM, And uh, I don't look,

(30:13):
it's kind of it might be a similar fight Man Undefeated,
the Big fight. I don't know many similar fights to
that was the knockout all this. He was the one
with the punch that bus and I'm the boxer. Yeah,
that's some similarities that. But this is a fight that

(30:36):
fight fans want to see. And I'm gonna tell you something, bro,
I don't go to a lot of fights, but it's
certain fights. I'm going certain fights. I gotta be there.
It's like like, um, because I love boxing for real.
To me, I don't think it's anything greater than I mean, well,
I guess it's something greater. But but you know, I

(30:56):
like to see fight more. I mean I like to
I like fighting. I like to watch fights. I like
to watch fights. Go ahead and say you like to
hit a mother. This is what I'm saying. This is
what I'm saying. I like when I like. I like
when people fight who want to fight each other. I
don't like bullies, but I like it when two people
want to fight each other. You don't like me, I

(31:17):
don't like you. Let's fight. But what's up? Mother? But
what's up? What's up? And then y'all bang it out?
Oh I love man. I don't think it's anything greater,
you know, for me as a pastime than than than
watching fights. No fighting. I mean, you know, if I
have to, you know, if I have to fight, I
mean I would prefer not to fight. Uh man, why

(31:38):
are you? Why are you trying to take me? Okay?
So look man, we're Green's Point all Oh yeah none,
So Willie want to fight you? And you know Willie
when he always had his chest poke and walked like

(32:01):
like uh stir crazy? Remember rich fine say ship see
we're bad? So yeah, anyway, needless the same man, when
one person don't fight, we all gotta fight. So you
know we'll he go through Greenpoint and get into a fight.
Bill looked like the mind playing Tricks video. He jumping

(32:25):
off a ship like a wrestling matchment anyway. Yeah, that's
not if you have to fight Bill, you call him
a midge. Yeah, I'm a but needless the same man.
Willie was a very violent uh guy and actually actually,
and if you ask Jay truthfully, he'll say what everybody's

(32:49):
role was in the Ghetto Boys, and what was Willie's role?
We all was asked kick exactly. So I apprest my
fucking case right now at this table, Willie, he's something
like the people broke resting your case. It sounds like

(33:10):
you sound like sound like one of the lawyers. Yeah, yeah,
I can get them ship out that case voids revoting.
Podcast will be right back after the spot. She cool.
How does how does how do you deal with women?

(33:31):
Do you have any children? Yeah? I want you. I
just have my chat in December. That's ragulation, decend December. Okay,
all right, So how do you deal with uh sexual relations?
Why when you have a fight coming up, don't do that.

(33:51):
I don't do that. Like I go eight weeks without
having and explain to people why that's necessary. I mean,
certain fight is different, but me personally, I feel I
can make you lazy. I don't want to get in
the ring and be lazy, like lazy. It's like you
don't want to do nothing. You you're not like as
sharp and as quick. And so what's the cut off date? Me?

(34:12):
Eight weeks? You know the cutoff? So when do you
eight weeks before before there's nothing else happening, nothing for
eight weeks. Yeah, I heard that chick then it used
to like do it before a fight. I mean his
thing was like that. He said that I know something
like black champions boxes that do it before they fight,
and they said the same exact thing, like it relaxes

(34:34):
they are legs and make them feel that should have
had a bad legs. Man, I just call it pussy legs. Yeah,
so you know, pussy legs. I just I just I
just feel like it's like it would take away. I
know that don't work for me. It never worked for me.
But well, I know when I used to train, I

(34:55):
haven't trained in a while, but I called myself being
active the night before and get up that morning and
try to go work out and have the most horrible,
horrific workout. Yeah, but things like with me, I feel
like I feel like it's a sacrifice. I feel like
if another fighter not doing it, I feel better knowing
that they're doing it and I'm not. It's a big

(35:16):
sacrifice that out of up for eight weeks and mentally
like it evolves my brain and make me feel like
I don't I don't have discipline. I didn't done something
with discipline, and I feel better about that. But you
know what, man, you can you can. You can dabble
as long as you don't finish. Don't do that though

(35:38):
I don't know that I can't. I can't do that
sounds like, well I got a baby when they say, oh,
you can, just don't that that was drip when you

(35:59):
you yeah, I guess you you feel the same way, like,
I'm sure there's been times when you, like in the
landing bed in the early morning, what time you normally
get up to go run. I'll get up at different times,
Like it's depending on how I'm feeling, okay, But I'm
sure that's been times when you had a rough night
in the gym the day before, and then the next

(36:20):
morning you kind of saw you really don't want to
get up and go do it, But you start thinking
that your opponent might be out there running, oh, he
might be sleeping, might be still in the bed almost definitely,
Like right now, I've been looking at videos. Has been
posting like a lot of videos online like him hitting
the bag, him running, working out and actually seeing I'm like, Okay,

(36:41):
don't worry. When we camp, we're gonna put a lot
of working because it's like he I feel like we're
trying to like outwork. He trying to spook you into
thinking he's doing some ship and they shot that ship
three years ago. That's that's perfect. Even if he's doing that,
that's perfect. I'm glad. I'm glad that he's gonna spook
me because that's gonna make me work even hard. You know,
He's gonna come at its best, you know, and rightfully,

(37:03):
so we wouldn't expect nothing less. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's it's gonna be like I said, I personally think
it's gonna be one of the better fights you know,
uh the year. So this is gonna be very good
for boxing fast Yeah, better fight for me basically, I
feel you. Yeah, I'm rich, I'm rich. I'm to fight

(37:24):
for me. I'll be real short. Who's something the guys
out there that inspired you? In boxing? Andre Ward panel
with Sugary Leonard, I just don't like don't god, I
like was a dog. It was a mild Taylor. Man.

(37:50):
I don't like that. I don't like what he did.
And though I ain't like what mind Tiller did, I
feel like he was winning the whole fight. I feel
like they cheated him. But I you like his shorts. Yeah,
I don't like Buddy mcgirl's head. So I don't like
Buddy with great. I don't think he was that good men.
He was all right. I wasn't too big, but good dude.

(38:15):
You know he's good dude. You know I ain't the
biggest fan. Ain't hey, no man, really, Buddy, I don't.
I don't say that to him though, like me, I
try to talk to me. I don't told him, man,
I ain't rocking with you. Kevin MA did he here

(38:37):
like this? You know you're from You're from New Jersey? Uh?
New Jersey got a whole lot of strong hip hop
legends that came out of that. Who are some of
your uh guys and hip hop that you really favor

(38:58):
right now? I like a little dirt. I like Drake,
I like me, I like call that well that week.
I like Kevin Gates, like people be sleeping on Kevin Gates.
You think so yeah, and I like Little Baby too. Yeah, Baby, Yeah.

(39:19):
I'm gonna tell you something. Everybody that you name a
dope man, But I think people be sleeping on a
Little Baby. I mean, I think I do think Little
Baby is man. That dude. I mean, I feel like
everybody know he liked the best rapper end Like, I
don't know, I think some of the other guys out
there get more shine, you know, as for as like

(39:39):
mainstream shine, like all the guys you just name, you know,
you know, except I think, yeah, I think that most
at least most guys you just name get more shine.
But little Baby, that dude is the truth for real.
When when he he got that, he got that that
the lyrics that the youngsters can relate to and the

(39:59):
elder can relate to. Like when you hear him, you'd
be like, damn, man, who is that talking that ship ship,
that type ship And then oh, that's little Baby, And
then you look at the man. The dude is saying something.
He got something to say. Definitely Baby a great rapper.
So give me your top five, top five or what
rappers right now alive? Top five Tupac, Biggy Daisy Little Wayne.

(40:45):
I like Eminem, I ain't gonna lie she didn't get
his ship MS tough man, but you know you know who.
I'm a bigger fan of Blue nas Man, Nah, you
gotta lest you gotta revisit this catlog man and Nas
is complicated. I think at the end of the day, Man,

(41:07):
this whole the top five is always suggestive. That's why
I really like hearing people say what their top five
is and then and I and I always know it's
coming in three to one when other people start debating
about what the top five is. I asked you what
your top five was, not what kids was, and he
come with NA, right we live not but he his

(41:28):
ass come with Nas. You ain't said nothing about Nas
since the ship I'll be talking about and this ship
I gotta deal with laughter the two thirty three years
of this ship. Man. You know j same thing with Jay,
same ship. You know what I'm saying. Go ahead, Willie,
you but go ahead? How coolest fun Willie? I'm not.
I didn't say nothing, but just like NAS, basically you

(41:52):
know uh Man, Nas is, yes he does because that's
his top five. But I asked you about your top five.
Thanks Willie. No, thanks, pal, anyway, that's what it's gonna

(42:18):
come to the speaker to speaker, your fans reclaiming my time. Listen,
man shouts out to Maxine one exactly Brown, your fans,
you know, hit you on social one, follow me on Instagram,

(42:42):
Twitter at cour Steve was saying, I got a YouTube channel,
of course, was saying, just keep tuning in. I'm gonna
become a big star one day. And I'm not a
box now, but go ahead, I'm gonna take over boxing
and we want to see you do that. Man. Man, really,
we cracked a lot of jokes, man, but we really
family man, and you yeah right here as a fucking scientist.

(43:04):

there like I already know. Yeah. Man. We wish you
all the luck in the world and blessing to your career,
blessing to your new born and your family, all your
brothers and sisters. Brother, man, do your thing, bro, You

(43:25):
got the world depending on you right now, and don't
let that put a no pressure on you. Will just
be ready for it. It's coming. Thank you. I appreciate everything,
like one night going to sleep, wake up and it's
everything like ship. Yeah easily, I've been there a few times. Yeah,
ladies and gentlemen, of course Stevenson and the masterful of

(43:47):
J Prince. Oh yeah, the mastermind. Now hold on, befo
we do that. We gotta get some parting words out
of Jay because Jay always got it. He always got
to come on with the cheer. Give us a principle, man,
I like that. Damn hey, Jay, you should start some
type of a little like like talking to It's called

(44:09):
J principle. But no, that's it. Yeah, that's it, JA principles.
That's principle. Yeah, that's that's a real So here's a
J principle for the day. Be willing to do today
what others won't do so you can do tomorrow or
what others can't do. That is no more talk, brilliantly spoken.
