Speaker 1 (00:07):
What's that episode spooky?

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Hey juky, I'm really sure, said he's coming this way.
Wait a minute, I said, las nandas.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Pllease hey boo.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
It's me Roz and welcome to Ghosted by Raz Hernandez,
the podcast where I talk to people that I like
about the paronormal. Okay, wow, this episode. In case you

(00:48):
didn't know, I am pre recording these before I am
head out on the road. So I'm currently right now
in April. Remember April, I'm still ontour traveling the country
and you can see me in all different kinds of places.
Rosernettis tour dot com for those tickets. Okay. Anyway, we

(01:13):
are joined by these two who have a show called Ghosting,
which is a Canadian show and it's queer and it's
ghost hunting and they're joined by different guests every episode
and they go to these haunted places. It's super fun.
I'm very pro queer people and ghosts. Okay, that's sort

(01:38):
of what I'm into, and that's what you're gonna get
when you watch this show. I've been sent their clips
a lot a lot of people sending me clips of
them dealing with ghosts, asking them questions about if they're
gay or not, and it's it's a fun show. I'm

(02:01):
not gonna lie some of this conversation. I'm like, and
you know me, I'm pretty skeptic.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Here.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
If you're new to me, here's how I feel about ghosts.
I don't believe everything's a ghost, but I'm also like,
I don't want to find out in a too scary
of a way. And I'm listening to these two and
I'm going, you better be careful. Those ghosts might get

(02:30):
mad at you. But it seems like they've been just
fine and having a great time doing it and it's
fun to watch. So you're about to hear that conversation.
Before we get to that, let me read you a
quick little story. This one came from Christie. Christie writes, Hi, ros,

(02:53):
I had to write in because when I was listening
to your episode with Bob the Drag Queen, I had
almost the same experience. Okay, so at this point that
was months and months ago the Bob's Dry Quay episode.
A quick little recap Bob and I hope this isn't
a spoiler. If you haven't listened to it, go listen
to it. It's such a good story. But Basically, Bob
had a person appear to him and say, uh, your

(03:19):
Grandma's gonna die, and then she did. Okay, so that's
like the short story. Bob tells it better anyway, So
back to Christy. For me, I had a quote dream
that Jesus visited me in the middle of the night.
I grew up in a very strict Catholic household. He

(03:40):
took me out of my bedroom and we quote flew
through time. He showed me when and how my grandmother
would pass away. When the dream ended, he brought me
back to my bedroom. I asked when I would see
him again. He told me when I needed him. Then
he flew go away, and I laid down in the

(04:02):
middle of my bedroom floor and fell asleep. When I
woke up, I was in the same spot on my
bedroom floor. My grandmother died the exact day and way
he said she would. At this time in my life,
I had already lost my grandfather and father, so I
was probably just prepared for more death in my life.

(04:22):
I never told anyone about it until it actually happened.
My mother made me see a nun who said that
I have the gift to see the other side. Since then,
I haven't had the same experience, but I do hear
my father saying hello to my children every now and then,
love you and love everything you do. Oh thanks, Christy.

(04:44):
That is so interesting. It's like, why would Jesus? And
I'm not doubting it or anything, but it's just like
Jesus or a ghost of the future. First of all,
it's very scrooge, like go to Christmas past coming around
and be like, oh, we're gonna go fly around real quick.

(05:04):
But it's like I'm just imagining Jesus or these ghosts
or whoever, being like, you know what I feel like doing.
Let me just go, Let me go take this child
and show them when their grandma's gonna die. It's like,
so right. It's like, Jesus, is this your hobby? Like
get into ryin stoning. That's what I do when I'm bored.

(05:25):
But whatever, it's interesting. Whoever that was, I guess Jesus,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Thanks for sending it to me. Okay, here we go.
This is my conversation with Matthew and Luke from the
CBC TV show Ghosting and with the show Oh my god,

(05:53):
you guys, you're not gonna believe this. I found gay
people that talk to ghosts Luke and Matthew.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Hi, Hi, I'm obsessed with you.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
That was my favorite introductions, Like those MoES.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Well, actually a gay person that talks it goes found
me because here's what happened. Okay. So I was doing
my duties as a professional comedian that performs for gay people,
and the duty called for me to be on a
ship filled with gay men to make them laugh. And

(06:36):
so I'm like on this boat. I'm there for like
a couple of days. At this point, I'm like having
time in my life. I'm like, oh, let me go
to like one of the parties. I think I've probably
just done a show. It's like, go to the party.
I'm like at the dance floor, and then all of
a sudden, this one was like, oh my god, I
know you, and I was like hi, And then it

(06:57):
turns out that it's Matthew from the tea you showed ghosting.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
So so guilty. It was the White Party, and that
was the first time we had actually gotten close, and
I was like, I have to say hi, because what
are the chances that there's another gay ghost hunter like
on this boat?

Speaker 3 (07:13):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I mean, like the fact it just was two kids.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Men.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
We're in the middle of the South Caribbean and there
you are. So I'm I'm so honored to be on
Ghosted now.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
So we must have been on the same boat for
like a week at that point or something, because it's
usually at the end of the week. And look at that.
We met each other and in literally the ocean.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
I know.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
So we just had to travel halfway around the world
and then and then we found each other. It's a
match made of heaven. And I remember the first thing
you said. I told her I was Canadian and you
went marry me. And I was like, oh, that's funny,
and you're like, no, I'm dead ass, like please bring
me to Canada one.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
And that's why I've invited you back here. Marry me, Okay,
making it official, I need if either of you have.
I mean, I guess my standards I can lower them
a little bit, but just like, no, no, I'm not
referring to you when I say that, I'm just saying
because I already know you're you're in a relationship. I mean,

(08:09):
like I'm just wondering if you guys know. I mean,
typically I would be a little bit more like, well
he has to do this and have this height and this.
Actually I'm not that. I'm pretty open. I'm open.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
All I need is a non American best sport and we're.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Good, perfect. We'll find you a Canadian.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yeah, yeah, thank you, and not a dead one, because
I know you two like to talk to dead guys.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
They're actually our favorite.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
We know like one or two living people. I think.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
We have to talk about the show because I am
now obsessed. I just I've watched most of it and
it's so fun. Okay, So the two of you go
to Haunted with celebrities and sometimes they goes are sassy

(09:08):
and sometimes you guys are a little sassy, and I
appreciate that a lot. Where did this whole idea come from?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
I feel like we could probably just give like the
real answer this time.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Finally, we tell this story all the time, and I'm
only the guy who takes the reins. Luke, what's the
real story to you?

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Tell me?

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Spilled the tea. I'm curious.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Basically, we were in San Francisco for a movie premiere,
a film that Matthew was in and FAKEFRIENDU it. Yeah,
I didn't know because we're from Canada. I didn't know
that Alphatraz was in San Francisco. I don't actually know
where I thought Alcatraz was. To be honest with you,
Luc has.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Never left Ontario. Let's be clear, Like I couldn't.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
I couldn't tell you like where Alpatraz, like what continent.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
But I knew it was like a thing in the
water anyways, So I become of held then like we
need to go to fucking Alphatraz. And then we we
watched the BuzzFeed Unsolved episode about Alcatraz because I think
I need to get the Alcatraz lore in so.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
That when I'm there, I'm a local, like I know everything.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Yes, we find out you need to like book months
in advance to get on a boat to Alcatraz. I
didn't realize it was like such a hot place to be.
So we got really high and we circled Alcatraz in
the boat. We literally just circled at high out of
our minds and then best time ever and Bokola Iyoka
was on the boat with us. Was the pilot episode
of the show, and I met Matthew on a show

(10:29):
that I had made, and so I was like wouldn't
it be so funny if how dumb we are went
to one of those huge, famous haunted places to figure
out if it was actually haunted because we're in a
horror movie, Like.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
How stupid would that be if we all actually did that?
And then one email was sent and here we are.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Wait, but what's the story that you usually tell?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Just that we we just do like the PG. Yeah,
there's no drugs involved. The trip was a lot shorter,
and it's just you know, it's all i'd been a
nice little bow.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Yeah, there was like the PR version of that trip.
And then there's like we don't partake in there, okay, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
And then there's the part where it's like the Edibles
in San Francisco are stronger than Toronto, and yeah, I
know what you're in for. And yeah, it was a
great time and.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
I was ship talking all of those Audibles every stuff
all the way like.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
I can't feel it, I can't feel it.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
I don't feel it.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
And then when we felt it, we were on that
boat and but.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
You know what million dollar idea came from it. So
here we are.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Oh my god, that's I like that version of the story.
So have you guys? Been to Alcatraz yet or no, no, no,
we never made a you know something crazy, I've never
been either, and I'm in San Francisco constantly and I
want to, but it does feel like such a thing,
like you have to like, yeah, get on a boat

(11:48):
and go out there, and then there's like you have
to take a tour, and it's like no, just let me,
like someone just dropped me off, and I want to
just like roam around.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Lucas convinced he could swim, No, because I could have
fucking swamed it.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
The boat was like this far away from the island,
and the driver or the captain whenever is like, you
can't swim that. I was like, I could jump this
distance with the physical length of my body and touch it.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
You would freeze that water. So cool.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
You're Canadian. I think you could take exactly thank you too, honestly, fair, fair,
just like hop on a dolphin and just like go over.

Speaker 4 (12:27):
Yeah, my uncle died, my great uncole died on the Titanic,
so I feel like I can sustain that water and
just get there.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
It's like in my DNA.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Okay, but the gag is that I also have to
say we found this out while filming the second season
of our show, we were in Halifax and that like
Luke had heard of this before. I'm sorry, I'm not
to tell your story. You can take the reins. But
like it was confirmed while we were shooting this show,
which was just wild, and we were in Halifax with
the cemetery that has the body of Luke's great uncle.

(12:57):
It was wild.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Wait wait, wait, so you're great uncle was on the
Titanic and he died and then there's a grave of
him in Halifax.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
Yes, because all the Titanic bodies were brought to a
Halifax port because it was like the only port that
existed at the time, and he didn't want to do
with the body, so just buried them all there.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Stop.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
How did they get his body?

Speaker 4 (13:20):
They literally picked him up out of the water and said, hey, Diva,
come with us.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Stop it.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
But he was a line cook on the Titanic, so
we had like a little name tag.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Stop, they knew who it was. Yeah, do you have
pictures of him or anything?

Speaker 4 (13:34):
There's like a photo of him available on the internet.
But like, considering this was like nineteen twelve or whatever, Like,
I my family doesn't have it. My grandmother has schizophrenia,
which is not funny. But she had this whole thing
my whole life, where like my grandfather's dad's brother died
in the Titanic and obviously everyone's like this did not happen,
but lo and behold. We got there and my uncle's like, yeah,

(13:56):
he's buried in this graveyard. Turns out it's the Titanic graveyard.
Turns out it's like all of it was true.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Stop it and we brought some of our ghost tools
to his actual gravesite. It was kind of wild. It
was like two three am. What time was it. It
was insane. It was after we were done shooting one night.
We were like, we have to we're here, So brought
up the rempod, used the ovulus and like we were
talking to him for sure.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
I'm like, so gagged right now. So I just watched
Titanic on an airplane and I hadn't seen it since
it first came out, and I was like too young
to really process it. But now I know that your
great uncle was on there. This is crazy.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
They used all of the people who died, they couldn't
use their full legal names, but they used everyone's last
name as character names. So my last name is a
character in the end credits of the movie, Like, my
real full last name is Hutchinson. So if you watch
the movie, there's like every person who died and there
was Hutchinson there. Anyways, I'm like famous or whatever that.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
So you're a nepo baby, is what you're Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Thank you. I owned fifty one percent of the Titanic Corp.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Whoa Okay, wait, so Matthew, what's the deal with your
great uncle? You got anything?

Speaker 3 (15:13):
No?

Speaker 1 (15:13):
Nothing? Apparently he was a tenor from Hungary, but that's
all we know. And his name was Conrad. But he
didn't do anything on a boat, so we don't know
much about him.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
Yeah, but when you guys went on that cruise, I
told Matthew. I was like, you know about boats, right,
you want to watch out for those icebergs?

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (15:30):
I invited Luke. He was like, my family doesn't do
well with boats. I'm not going to go.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
And I was like, all right, suit yourself, okay, okay.
So before you both did copious amounts of drugs and
had this idea, had you where were you at on ghosts?

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Well?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I was the believer because I watched all of BuzzFeed
Unsolved paranormal. We have a show in Canada too that
was called ghost Trackers.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
I never watched that show, just for the record.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Which is a crying shame, but it was it took kids,
and I didn't watch it as an adult. I watched
it as a kid. It was like on YTV our
like youth Entertainment channel whatever, and it took kids and
they went into haunted places, and I was like, this
is insane. I love this so ever since, like I
don't know, elementary school, I've loved ghosts and so it
just like naturally stuck. When we came up with the
idea and I already knew the tools. We went onto Amazon,

(16:27):
we bought our EMF detectors and different things, and then yeah,
we rented a haunted airbnb in pentitang Machine and who
exactly it doesn't even.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Matter, literally middle of nowhere, Ontario, Canada, like the middle
of nowhere.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
It just was weird, like, are there any haunted airbnbs
we could shoot a proof of concept at And so
we just took the like scrap knowledge that I had
from being just an enthusiast, like we don't claim to
know what we're doing at all, and yeah, we just
like see what happens. But Lucas genuinely skeptical of everything.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
I okay, here's here's the here's my my lore. I
grew up with immigrant parents. They do their little thing.
It wasn't so much that my family believed in ghosts.
It was like that God was God, and like there
was the devil, and like possession was. It was more
like the demonicness of it all.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Fun okay, fun tea.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
And so for me, for me, it's like, it's not
the ghost part. It's not that I don't believe in nothing.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
That's not what it is.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
It's I want to experience like the lend of Blair,
like the Exorcist.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
You want to be possessed.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
I want to be possessed because it's not that like
I'm afraid of anything. I don't find dead scary, like
I don't find the dead scary, like like my unculd
out in the Tantanic. I'm kind of like a legacy
grandfathered into like national tragedy and multiple death.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Like I'm trying.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
That's kind of like my lore, right, But I want to,
I guess more, experience the unexplained rather than trying to
find a ghost, like I'm trying to contact like the
demon or like the keeper of the house, and really like,
you know, what's the proof?

Speaker 3 (18:06):
How can we prove? This is more my thing?

Speaker 2 (18:09):
But you want to see a demon?

Speaker 4 (18:12):
I would love to see a demon. I mean, I
guess I'll also take what I can get, but I
would love a demon. Wow.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
That's see, I'm the opposite. That's too scary for me. No,
what's even gonna do that we haven't already interesting? Yeah,
you're probably like to the demon. Okay, now who is
your great grandpa uncle? What's your story? Demon? Right?

Speaker 3 (18:34):
The demon has nothing on me?

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Okay, Well, had you had any experiences of this nature
before this experience of the show?

Speaker 1 (18:43):
I trigger warning? The house I grew up in, the
daughter of the previous family took her own life, and
so we knew something had happened in the house and
there was like an energy, and so my family had
had like multiple we'd all experienced something individually, and then
I guess it just sort of came to a boiling
point where one day we shared our stories and we
all were like, yeah, something's weird. There's something upstairs right,

(19:05):
like there is someone up there, And it was benevolent,
but it was enough that we all were aware of it,
and you know things like you know, you're home alone
and you hear footsteps, or we would all be having
dinner and there'd be a big bang upstairs. And it
got to the point where we were like just acknowledging
it was enough and we didn't need to like get
it exercised or anything.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Yeah, where was this?

Speaker 1 (19:29):
This isn't Peterborough where I grew up. It's like an
hour outside of Toronto for those of you who don't know.
And it's actually the house that my parents still live in.
Like I was just there on the weekend.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Stop.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
I know, it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Why don't you do an episode there?

Speaker 1 (19:43):
We should, it's just our episodes. We like there to
be like a party, like we like three ghosts at least,
and so you know, we want to contact a couple
of people. So exactly, yeah party, you know. So that's
how I grew up. And I love theater and they
say every theater has a go so you know, it's
just like you're saturated in it. But I don't know, Luke,
what was your beginning? Because I don't know this.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
I feel like I'm really explaining that I have so
much lore all of a sudden that you do. Here
we go.

Speaker 4 (20:12):
Now, What'm I'm from the honeymoon capital of the world.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Niagara Falls.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
Oh, Marilyn Monroe filmed her little movie there, and the
history of Niagara Falls is obviously insane. But the whole
thing is, you know, growing up there, it's like there's
a place there called Screaming Tunnels, and that's haunted. And
the most haunted town in Canada's Niagara on the Lake,
and there's blue ghost towns. Like my whole upbringing is
like the haunted, spooky, scary history of Niagara Falls, where

(20:41):
even for you know, Screaming Tunnels, which is probably one
of the most famous ghost things in the country. Essentially,
there's a tunnel under a train trap. This is Niagara Falls,
but there's a tunnel under a train track. And in
the beginning of the early nineteen hundreds, I think that's right,
there was a house and there was like this tunnel
and then there's like the road and essentially the dad
went crazy, tried to kill the whole family, burned down

(21:02):
the house. The daughter, the youngest daughter, was set on
fire and tried running back and she died in the
tunnel like burned alive, and now the lore is if
you go there at midnight and light a match, the
match will blow out and you'll hear a scream because
it's the ghost of the girl trying to get rid
of the fire, which is why it's called screaming tunnels.
And they actually filmed some Stephen King movie the Zone

(21:24):
Death Zone something Zone Dead Zone.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Yeah, it was in the nineties, but they.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
Filmed in that tunnel and then in Niagra Lake because
they wanted it to be like the real haunted places.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Anyways, that's that. So I grew up always around it.
It was never foreign to me, like it was a
part of almost like my culture if you will.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
Okay, but because of the historic nature of Nagar and
the lake and it being one of those earlier settlements,
all the houses are like two hundred years old, and
me and my friends will play with Wiji boards and
things like that. But again maybe now the thinking about it,
I was just so it was so normalized that I'm
kind of over ghosts and that's what I want.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Demons.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
You've had the strong stuff.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
Yeah, Like we like my friend's basements were like literally
like it was pebbles, and they used to live in
churches that were converted into houses, and we'd like played
like Ouiji boards down there, and we'd like blessed them
with But again, nothing like a super like. The thing
moved obviously, but who moved it or was it the ghost?
I'm so waiting for the devil.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Where did you say your family is immigrated from.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
They're from Italy.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Uh Catholic?

Speaker 3 (22:29):
I don't really know they. I think they think they're Catholic.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
They love God, they love God, but they also love
sex drinking. Yeah, Like if you imagine like the Italian mob,
like the ones that are in New York.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Okay, they like couldn't make it to America, so they
got stuck at Maga Falls so they only kind of linger.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
But well that's right by New York, right.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Like I was five minutes away from Duncan Donuts my
whole life. So I'm very again.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
I have so much lore, I really do.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Wait. Speaking of lore in Canada, I was just reminded
in Nova Scotia.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
There's that's where my uncle's married.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Oh, sorry to bring that up. There was at one
point a newspaper article that we covered one time on
the show about a real. This is real, a creature
that was sort of like lockness monstery called the dildo
monster of dildo Pond.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
Okay, wait I dildo Pond.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
I know.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
See, Okay, so you know I'm not lying. It was
literally like newspaper articles and I want to say the
fifties that was reporting this dildo monster. And so just
so you know, next time you go to Nova Scotia,
be careful because you might.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Matthew, is that your great uncle, the dildo monster?

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Yeah, the giant dildo Yeah, because you said you had
family there exactly.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Oh my god. But that is a real thing. Has
some fun lore and spooky places and stuff. So okay,
let's talk about the TV show. So you guys are
going to these places. When it comes to choosing places,
that's kind of your rule at them is like more
than one ghost.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
The way that our show essentially boils down like format wise,
because we didn't want to do the same vincent repeat
of kind of show up and hope for the best.
We wanted to really again, the point of the show
is is it haunted or is it not haunted? And
so essentially let's say there's the spirit of Mary Beth
there and Mary Beth at twelve o'clock will always you'll

(24:36):
you'll hear a woman crying at twelve o'clock if you
play the banjo. And so we will go there at
twelve o'clock with a banjo and play it. And if
we hear her, it's haunted.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
She's there.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
If we don't, we did not prove that she's there,
and it might not be haunted. And so we go
through the famous ghost stories of a historic place with
the most known things, and if we can prove that
all of those things happen, it's one hundred sound haunted.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
No ifans or butts about it, Diva, But.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
What if the ghost is tired that day?

Speaker 3 (25:05):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (25:07):
It's three. But we're only in each hotspot for like
an hour two hours max. So I'm always giving the
ghost the benefit of the doubt and saying it's so
hard to make a spirit show up for a call time.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
But bullying works.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
If you bully a ghost hard enough, typically something happens
if you bully anyone hard enough.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Yeah, I guess that's true. I know, see that's I've
been having a real hard time with ghost hunting because
I tried to do it. First of all, I'll never
do it if the cameras aren't rolling, not interested. But
I go and I do it, and most of the
time nothing is happening, and you're just like sitting there

(25:48):
trying to get an invisible person, whether they're real or not,
to start performing for you. And first of all, if
I was a ghost, I'd be like, bitch, how much
are you paying? Like are you making money off of this?
I didn't send a release.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
I'm not.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
No, I'm just gonna like like not do anything until
you make this worth my time, So I don't blame
the ghost. But also it's like, okay, we're paying a
location fee here, can you please just touch that damn
machine so I can go home.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
But I think even to our show, because we go
in with such like a bullying purpose, we kind of
are forced it, not like forcing a result, but like
everything is catered to making the situation work even if
nothing happens. Like one of the viral moments that we
had from season two is Matthew trying to fuck this
ghost at a military base.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
No, okay, we can clear by that.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
We ran out of time. That's all that we have
for today. Okay, what what?

Speaker 4 (26:52):
What? No?

Speaker 2 (26:53):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Luke just didn't mean to kiss this ghost and it
got pretty frisky and we determined, you know, and.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
It was it was in the quarters where the soldiers
weren't as we all know soldiers. I mean, you couldn't
be ganging like the eighteen hundreds, you know what I mean.
So it's like the ratio of more gay soldiers like
soldier on soldier Tomfoolery was probably higher than it is today,
is my guess.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
Anyways, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
More of the story is we went where all the
soldiers were, and then we were like, Matthew, go try
to make up with the ghost low and behold, the
ghost comes up to us as a bottom. And then
Matthew and the ghosts have a moment. The Internet eats
it up and it was a win for everyone. The
ghosts got to come out and all of that. Again,
like it was just tailored to maybe not it being
a bottom. We did not see that coming. But knowing

(27:38):
the military boys, you know, sometimes I.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Don't that ghost just offered that it's a bottom. We asked,
but they willingly replied. We were using an EMF detector,
so I'm sure, you know, like tried and true, and
my back was to the EMF detector, so I couldn't
see anything, and I was the one asking the questions,
and it was like spiking every time, and we ask
certain things and it was insane, Like I genuinely thought

(28:02):
Luke was lying to me. And then I saw the
playback and was like, oh shit, like there was a
ghost there for.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
Sure, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
But you didn't bully in this scenario though, Instead you
like offered your body to this ghost.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Fair Well, there's a lot.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
There's a lot that doesn't make it in. There is
a lot of what you're saying with me being like, okay,
there's a lot.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Riding on you right now.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
Spent a lot of money to be in here, bitch
a lot of chanting, but when you get the goods,
you get the good.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
But to what you're saying, it is a lot of
kind of hoping for the best.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
But that's why even with this show we have because
again the whole thing is like with the Famous Element,
the Famous Element, we try to tie in something to them,
so there's always something to do or buy something, whether
it's a dippic box, handcuffs, whatever it is to up
the ante or provoke something to appear right, like using
Matthew's body as a vessel for this demon to I guess.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Fuck, I'm just a tool use me.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Yes, you know. So when you say you made out
with the ghost, though I need details.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Let's talk about it.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
I mean everyone listening to feel free to go find
this on TikTok. We see the truth of Okay, okay,
So really I didn't know what was happening, and I
kind of thought because like speaking of Luke bullying things,
I was like, am I about to be the butt
of a joke? Like I really didn't know? So I
was like kind of kissing the air. But as soon
as it started getting some action, I was like, okay,
let's go with it. But sadly, I can report that

(29:27):
I didn't feel any sort of spirit enter my body
like I would have been game for it, like I'm
not gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Oh I hope that ghost and never hears you say that.
I know because I was like, okay, what are you
talking about? You couldn't feel me.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
We go back and we just like play this interview
on an iPad.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Yeah, this guy's gonna be like I heard you on
a podcast say that the best hookup of my life
you could not feel.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
I know, I'm, I'm I don't know. Maybe it's because
he was another bottom, not to autumn shame, hard to
find the top, you know.

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Even the scissoring exactly coming to theaters next year.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
I think we could be really good friends, you know.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Yeah, well, okay, so you guys are pro bullying, which
I think is great. We should make sure we have
that headline go across the screen.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
We need to bring back shame.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
We have to bring it back, We have to bring
up Sometimes sometimes everything doesn't need to be okay.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Here's the other side. I like to look at it
for these ghosts. These ghosts essentially live in this place. Okay.
They're like, I'm here every single day. This is like
my place. I know my routine, I know where my
things are whatever. And then all of a sudden, these
these people start coming in here with their camera crews

(30:55):
and they're like, hey, bitch, why don't you start play
in with me? And you're like, who the fuck is this?
Get out of my house. So I can see their
side of things.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
But I will say, even to that, the funniest thing
that happened even in season two is we went to
Craig Derrek Castle, which is like do google haunted places
in Canada, Like it's the number one on the list.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
That place was crazy. I watched that one and like
it's like multiple floors, right.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
It's like six levels.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
That's too many that it's insane.

Speaker 4 (31:25):
Yeah, But the Coroborator lady that was there, Amanda, she
was like, oh Joan like hates people, like whatever, blah
blah blah blah. And so we go in and then
we filmed for like an hour and a half in
this room and the only thing that happens that whole
time is that box saying are you gay?

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Yes, we answer.

Speaker 5 (31:43):
Another forty minutes goes by, not a peep, nothing happened,
and it was like, oh, this bitch wants us done,
and she's like, get the fuck out of my house.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
So to what you were saying, we showed up and
she was not having a Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Every once in a while I have people come from
me online because in my viral clip, I sit down
to talk to this ghost and the ghost goes fat
and now listen, I certainly I get upset, not in
a way where I think like, oh that's bad, don't
call like, oh I'm not fat. Whatever, I get more

(32:20):
mad that it's like, that's not how you talk to someone,
Like you don't enter a room and then someone goes
fat and it's like the same kind of thing with
that ghost, where it's like, can you at least go hi,
how are you? Thanks for coming to my home? Hey,
I have a question? Are you gay? Okay?

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Exactly? I mean that's at least that the kids in
elementary school at least have that courtesy. Can I ask
you something? You know this ghos should do that too, exactly.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
So I do find that rude to say are you gay?
You get the answer, and then it's like, oh, I'm
out of here. I don't want to talk to a
couple of gay people.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
I know this is rude.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
I will say I kind of fell in love with
who's the guy that was on that show with you
from Wednesday?

Speaker 1 (33:06):
Percy Percy.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
He is so funny and charming.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
He is the love of my life.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
Yeah, he was wonderful. I really enjoyed him. So, who's
the worst person that's been on your show?

Speaker 3 (33:21):
Matthew?

Speaker 2 (33:23):
I love it? So is there a place where both
of you are like this is a thousand percent terrifying.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
I mean I have an easy answer.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
I know exactly what you're gonna say.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
A kada three and a kada three when one two three.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Academy, Yeah, for sure, Luna Burger Academy, Lundberger.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
It was the off cusp of McDonald's.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Wait say it, say it nice and clear for me.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Lunenburg Academy, lunenburgerg Nova Scotia.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Yeah, okay, right next to Dildo Pond or no.

Speaker 4 (34:04):
Actually it is close to dyldou Pond because I know
about Dildo Pond because when we were booking a place
and I looked at a map and we saw it.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
You want the other producers, and that's why I do
know Dildo Pond is.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
Okay, next season, you gotta go to Dildo Pond only
if you come with us. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, okay, perfect, Okay,
So you got to Lunenburg Academy. Where is the story there?
What is this place Nova Scotia is.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
I don't really know what the original name of all
of this was called, but Lunenberg was one of the
earliest colonies of Canada, and so it's one of the
oldest parts of the country, which is why when the
Titanic sank, that's they brought it to Halifax.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
That was like the oldest thing that was still there,
and so Lunenberg basically was functioning during the.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Gallows Hill era, and so they put up the gallows
on the tallest hill in town and hung all the
people and whatever. And then when like civilization and normal
shit happened, they were like, damn, we need a school
for the kids, and instead of doing any other thing
that made sense, they built this humongous Victorian school on
Gallows Hill while the gallows were still in operation. That

(35:10):
was all at the same time, so they were hanging
people on recess. You went to school there, took tectoe whatever.
And then during the twentieth century, obviously the hanging stopped
and the school continued functioning as a school until twenty ten.
But during that time they converted all of the land
from the gallows into a cemetery. So if you google it,

(35:30):
it's literally this Victorian castle on a hill, and all
down the hill is great.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
So there's probably like a thousand bodies buried there.

Speaker 4 (35:39):
Margaret Atwood described it as something out of the like
Adams Family world. But essentially there's a bunch of ghosts
there for obvious reasons, the main one being a ghost
named Peter Mailman who was a murderer.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
Peter Mailman, Peter Maleman, yeah, real name.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
He wasn't a Maleman. Okay, Peter killed his wife with
an axe, shoved her in a tree. They found her,
arrested him, they hung him where the school was. They
executed him there. And so now he said to haunt
the basement and only attacks women, and that's like his
whole thing. We brought Nicki Ramel from Ginny and Georgia there,
she's younger Georgia on the show.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
We handcuffed her. We left her in the basement by
herself and lo and behold, Matthew, if you want to
segue in from.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Well, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
Yeah, so we like we set up the rumpod. We
do this like seance incantation, We invite him in. And also,
you know, because you've been spilling the tea, also say
something we did that we didn't include in the episode
is we all pricked ourselves with a pin and we
like bled onto the candles as like a blood offering.
Do you know what I mean to like offer something
so that Peter could come, Because if you're really going

(36:46):
to evoke a demon or something, you do need to
sacrifice or make an offering. So we were like, let's
put our blood.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yeah, and that ghost doesn't want to make out with.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Exactly no, No, he's not interested in me.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
You're getting all of the exclusive VTS stuff.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
You're getting the tea.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Oh my god, that's what we do here. We get
all the inclusive tea.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
So we give Peter our blood, We call on him.
We have these candles lit, and we have the rempot
in the middle. And when I even say i'mcanny on
the show because it was insane, we were like talking
to each other, not acknowledging him, and the rempod wasn't
doing anything. The second we'd be like hey Peter, it
would go off. So it was like, okay, he's here,

(37:27):
and we confirmed with him. We were like, do you
want us to leave the room, and he was like, yes,
please leave, only Nicki here, that kind of stuff. So
we put all the cameras down, we tell the camera
crew to leave too, and Nicki's there. She's just the
sweetest guest ever, just like handcuffed, living her best life.
And then one of our producers points out on the
monitor that in the window behind her you can make

(37:48):
out the silhouette of somebody peeking in, which is one
of the claims that our paranormal experts make. They're like,
we've investigated this space and it looks like someone's looking
in or out through the windows, and so we're like, Nikki,
we called to her, We're like, can you see anything
in the window behind you? And she turns around and
she was like, no, I can't see anything. She couldn't
make out the figure, but we could see it on

(38:11):
the monitor. It was the creepiest thing. And then we
go back in and it's not in the window. We
can't see it at all.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
Even like our DP because the cameras were down one
outside because we thought that somebody was like trespassing while
we were felt like it literally looked like somebody was
up against the window. They went outside the check there
was nothing there, and then when we went back to
the monitor, it was still there. And we said, like, Nikki,
can you ask of something in the window because she
was like, I can't see it. The rempod goes off.
Is there someone that wants to hurt you in the window?

(38:36):
Rempod goes off. The moment we walk in, you don't
have to walk back in the thing's gone.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
I mean, so that is a location where you both
there like one that was a.

Speaker 4 (38:49):
Ghost again, like the thing that was crazy was like
the Haunting of Lunimburg accunty, because it's so old. It's
been like it's so famous because people in like the
forties and fifties and sixties, where like all those female
caretakers are like, I see, I feel a man in
the basement.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
I see something in the window looking at me. It
was only women.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
It was only women, And so that we saw the apparition,
we literally Nikki was like, I feel like weird. Like
every allegation of this ghost was proven true without fail
on camera.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Now that's that's impressive. It's very like don't read what
you heard about me, but like it's real this time,
you know what I mean, Like the stories are all true. Honey,
I am who they say I am. I love going
to places like that because there's a lot of haunted
locations that are like these like weird gender specific things

(39:42):
like that, and as a trans lady, I love going
to those and seeing like that to me has been
like a very gender affirming thing where I like go
to these and I'm like, oh my god, this ghost
just slap me. That means it only slaps ladies go
to a place and they don't slap me, And I'm like, you, transphobe.

(40:05):
You eighteen hundred's trans pobe.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
I love the gender affirming demons period.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
You know where we really want to go that we
need to bring you and I don't know how because
it's really hard in this country. A mental asylum that
treated all of the queerness like being gay, being like lesbian,
any type of trans anything like at the time where
they were like putting you in literly conversion therapy. Yeah,
I would love to one of those places now, Yeah, hi, Diva.

Speaker 2 (40:37):
From what I understand, there's a lot of I mean
maybe even all of those historically had you know, patients
that were admitted for stuff like that, for LGBT things.
But also like it's like wild, like they would just
like throw people in those things for like the silliest

(40:57):
stuff ever. Yeah, and they would never do that now.
But those feel right up your alley because you guys
like a bunch of ghosts. Like the times that I've
done stuff like that, it's like it's too spacious that
there's too many. I don't like people dead or alive.
I don't want to be around like big.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Groups like that.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
That's not my thing. So you're playing not really when
it comes to ghosts. When it comes to living, I'll
tell you stories some other times.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
Well, Matthew told me about what happened after you met.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
What happens on the cruise stays on the cruise loop?

Speaker 3 (41:33):
Oh okay, d.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
Yeah, what happened after that? I'll tell you what happened.
I went to the buffet. I stuffed my face and
cried while the hottest men in the world all made
love to each other and I just sat there eating
free desserts. I mean, the free deserts never stop, and

(41:58):
none of them are eating it. I just sat there
in eight and then I fell asleep, and that's all
that happens, unfortunately. But anyway, we're not gonna be depressing
here on the show. Tell me about some other places
you guys have been if people wanted to jump into
this show. And what I love about shows like this

(42:18):
is that they are kind of like standalone, like, you know,
you don't necessarily have to watch them all in order.
What would you say, what's the gayest episode? The one
with the making out?

Speaker 3 (42:29):
You think the.

Speaker 1 (42:30):
Gayest episode might be Frankie Grande's episode season I would
say pre long guys, maybe pret longest, but Frankie's just
four gay guys in the jail. That's pretty gay.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
Yes, But Frankie was like, I am going to heal
this spirit and that is my one mission. And me
and Hale and Matthew are like laughing, and He's like,
this is no laughing matter. We need to release the spirit.
And I'm like, girl, I.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
Mean he took it seriously, but it's a pretty good Yeah, that's.

Speaker 4 (43:01):
Family, But I mean I get to understand that. But
I definitely think Preanca is up there.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
Okay, fair maybe Preanca.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Then I don't feel like I know Frankie Grande, but
my entire existence as a person in Los Angeles, like
every once in a while I go to like an
event that he's at or something, and that is that
is some energy just emanating off of a person. Like
everywhere Frankie Grande goes, it is a full on show.

(43:28):
Frankie is there for a good time. I can't imagine
going ghost hunting with Frankie Grett.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
He was great at it.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
He was really good. And you should check out the
episode because We were in this dead judge's courtroom who
died like from a heart attack in the middle of
a case after he smoked a cigarette. That was the
thing I thought was amazing. He was like, I'm feeling pain,
and they were like, smoke a cigarette and then he died.
So if Frankie, we all asked like, who do you
think would make the best judge? And Frankie asked and

(43:55):
then the device goes insane. So then he does this
one on one with this judge and it was act incredible.
Every time Frankie tried to leave, the judge was like, no,
don't go. Exactly order in the court.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
I have a gavel.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
Oh I love that.

Speaker 3 (44:08):
Why do you have that?

Speaker 2 (44:10):
Because I like to determine as well if things are
haunted or not. So when people tell me ghost stories,
if I think it's a ghost, I go, I'm convinced. Anyway,
back to you two, what happened with Prianca? I haven't
seen that one yet.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
Prianca, we took her to Hamilton, Ontario, about like forty
minutes outside of Toronto.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
You took her to see Hamilton exactly.

Speaker 1 (44:32):
The musical Yeah, Lyndon Well was amazing. He really hit
every note and.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
People don't know Priyanka. She's from Canada's Drag Race.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Yes, first winner of Canna's Drag Race, hosts of Hbos
We're Here Yeah, and multi platinum musical artist with over
twenty million streams on Spotify. Devastation available now.

Speaker 4 (44:55):
No.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
We took her to this massive kind of like an empire,
like a four in Hamilton. It was by this tobacco
baron so he built this major like would you call
it a mansion, Luke.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
It was a home built for a rich person that
was converted into a Freemason temple.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
Yeah, those are always going to be haunted.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
Well, we bought a dippic box.

Speaker 4 (45:17):
It made her open at because it was supposed to
be haunted by a poltergeist. So the lore was while
we were in the chapel, the logic was, if the
polter geys won't show up, the demon in.

Speaker 3 (45:26):
The box would piss the poulter geist off enough to
show up.

Speaker 4 (45:29):
One of them had to be there, you know what
I mean, one of them had to exist, So we
made her do that.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
You don't get like a little bit scared that, like
you could have a demon that follows you home or
puts a sue on you or like anything like that.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
Like for the record, I didn't know this was happening.
Luke brought a dipic box and for those of you
who don't know, a dipic box is an exercise demon
in a box. And so this thing was apparently one
hundred and thirteen years old named Violet. Is that if
I'm not mistaken, And Luke starts smashing it on the
ground to open it up because it's sealed with layers

(46:07):
of wax because you're clearly yeah, and then it comes
out and exactly what you just said, Roz. I'm thinking
the whole time this, I don't want this thing to
attach itself to me. It's going to try and find
a host in the room, like the weakest person, and
I can host.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Well, do you know what happened to post Malone?

Speaker 3 (46:30):
Everyone? He's bringing this up? No, I don't he bought
one of those boxes or something.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
Now he only visited one. Oh yeah, okay, tell me
what he visited the one in Las Vegas on display,
which is allegedly the depiic box, like the first famous
one that like got the most press out of it,
had the best publicist and apparently this de Big Box

(46:58):
is responsible for any thing bad does happen in his
life since then.

Speaker 4 (47:02):
Well, Prianca also literally thinks that she all possessed, like
she she literally like what like like she has ever
since that She's like all of these horrible things that
happened to me, like I need the box back and
you know, exorcism and to get trapped. She's convinced that
she got possessed. In the meantime, though, she did become
Apple Music's like up next Artist of twenty twenty five

(47:24):
or whatever twenty twenty four. So I feel like the
demon really isn't that bad, you know what I mean?
Like it really that's not the result.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
Of a dem Demon's trying to collab. The Demon wants
to be featured on the track period.

Speaker 1 (47:35):
We should also, is it too much Tea Lucavito? What happened?

Speaker 2 (47:40):
Yeah, yeah, you're going to, Oh, just don't use the
real name.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
We won't use names or necessarily positions, but I will
say this is of what they held on the crew.
There was someone on our crew who was in the
room when we were filming this scene because it's like
some people are you know, behind the curtain, and they
claim that the demon possessed them and they literally no
longer wanted to work on our show after this episode.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
Stop.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
They were like, I went home, I didn't get any sleep.
They left.

Speaker 3 (48:11):
No, well, you're missing the church part. The church part
was the part that got me.

Speaker 1 (48:16):
Because I think it's funny. No, it's not funny, it's
it's insane. And I was like, yeah, I believe you.

Speaker 4 (48:20):
We wrap filming out like five am. Okay, this person
is doesn't they stop talking?

Speaker 3 (48:26):
They went home early. We are like that actually, are like, oh,
like where are you?

Speaker 4 (48:30):
Or are you?

Speaker 3 (48:31):
Are you?

Speaker 4 (48:32):
And they come in They're like they look like they
got hit by a truck. They're like I was at
a church and I ubered to a church an hour
away to get blessed by a priest. And then I
ubered back to my house and then I ubered to
my partners, and then I ubered back here, and I
ubered back to the church to get blessed again. I'm like, again,
here's the thing, here's the thing, and again this isn't funny.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
It's not funny. Okay, it's not funny.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
Then why am I laughing?

Speaker 4 (48:56):
And imagine, imagine I can only explain this in two
times in my life where like I had this one
friend who was from San luisabisbel who like loved Jesus,
nothing wrong with that, but like loved Jesus to the
point that like believed that, like witches flew around on Bruin,
like really genuinely believe and maybe they do, but really

(49:16):
did believe it. And so it's one of those moments
where you're kind of like, oh, like I don't really
know how to actually respond in that moment when this
person's like I'm possessed, like the demon has followed me,
but like it's it's not funny, like they're sobbing serious
well and I'm like okay, and so obviously they quit,
but it was just it was insane.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
I mean, what if it really did happen, if the
demon had to go somewhere. That's the thing. These demons
don't really care or the ghosts or whatever. They don't
care who is on the show, like who's the host.
They're like, oh, okay, that one over there, I want
that one exactly.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
And I'm pretty sure they held onto the box too
before it was brought on, I think, and maybe I'm
adding that in, But the point was when when they
told us that. Luke and I were like, yeah, no
bones at all, this is we completely understand. This is
your out, like take it. And they were like thank you. Yeah,
I'm going to I was pissing myself laughing.

Speaker 2 (50:09):
But but do either of you feel a little bit
like why don't you possess me? Like what's wrong with me?

Speaker 1 (50:18):
Okay, here's the thing, my genuine Maybe I don't know.
I do sometimes like to be submissive, so it could
have happened. But I think that the paranormal and I'm
speaking in broad terms here has as much power over
you as you're willing to give it, do you know
what I mean? And so like I think at that moment,
maybe the demon was like, I can't mess with these two.

(50:39):
They've got too strong. And Prianka too, It's like, okay,
I can't mess with her right now. There's they're omitting
too much confidence and strength, and like I wouldn't be
able to overpower them. But went to like someone on
our crew who was, you know, being quiet and meek
in the corner, not wanting to be seen or messed with,
and then yeah, so it makes sense. So I don't
take it personally that the demon didn't come home with me.

Speaker 4 (50:58):
You know, if I was in jail all for like
two hundred years and someone got me out of jail,
I wouldn't possess them. I'd be like thank you, and
I would be like I would actually give good energy
to them. So I don't feel like I was ever
in a harm's way in that situation there.

Speaker 2 (51:13):
Okay. You know what I will say, having had my
experiences with this kind of production is and I've mentioned
this many times on this peckast, but like people forget
that there is like a crew there, like not as
big as like a movie or something, but there's like
other people in the room obviously that are like filming

(51:35):
and stuff, and a lot of times they're like big
men or like I don't know, just people that are
like very skeptical or whatever it is. And I will
say it is so much more comforting having those people
in the room than not, because I've been doing a
thing where I go to haunted hotel rooms by myself

(51:55):
and there's nobody there at all, and that's very scary
for me because if if the ghost is to hop
in somebody, it's gonna be my ass. Ubering to a
church one hundred miles away.

Speaker 1 (52:11):
Have you experienced anything that has pushed you to that
edge that you're like, I'm not actually sleeping here tonight.

Speaker 2 (52:17):
Yes, Yes, what was it. It's interesting because at the
time of recording, I'm editing it right now, so it's
definitely fresh on the mind. But I went to a
hotel in San Diego and it was alleged lay this
man back in the day. He was a gambler and
he nobody knows exactly the story. Oh he stole money

(52:39):
or he cheated or whatever, and he got shot and
died in this room. Okay, So I'm like in the
room literally nothing's happening. I'm like so bored, like hours
and hours, and I do a thing where I find
a guy on Grinder to join me, or just a
person in general and Grinder to join me. I have
found people in the literal middle of nowhere on Grinder

(53:01):
San Diego. Can't find a single person. All my technical
stuff is like not working. I was just like over it,
and so I was like, Okay, I'm gonna turn out
the lights just because I need to. This needs to
at least feel a little bit spooky, because this is
just a video of me in a hotel room for
five hours with nothing happening. So I turn out the lights,

(53:22):
I light a candle. Within minutes, I feel a cold
man just like on me. Like I'm like sitting in
a chair and he's like right next to me. And
this kind of thing pisses me up because all the
years I've watched these shows, I'm like, I don't want
to hear about ooh I felt something. It's like, bitch,

(53:45):
I want to see something I don't. I can't. You
can fake that so easily. But I'm like sitting there
and I'm like, there is literally something right next to me.
And then the light that I had that was motion
activated right next to it starts lighting up for the
first time. And then I finally got the courage to
tell it to go to the other side of the room,
and when it went to the other side of the room,

(54:06):
the rempot I had over there lit up for the
first time. And it was so scary to me that
I was like, I'm out of here. I'm packing my
bags and I'm leaving. It was like too real. It
was like being in a hotel room with a straight
man that I don't know that I don't want to
be with, and I was really uncomfortable and I laughed,
I'm glad you did.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
I'm glad you respected your boundaries there. That sounds crazy.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (54:30):
For me. When paranormal stuff starts happening, because I'm dealing
with Luke, who is a huge skeptic, I get really
excited and like I want more to happen, and I
feel really like vindicated because sometimes we've been in some sketchy, dirty,
scary places and yeah, shit starts happening, and it's like
we should instinct says we should run away, we shouldn't
be here anymore, but like we just pushed the envelope

(54:51):
as far as we can until we know that we've
got it.

Speaker 3 (54:54):
Even bringing up the camera crew of it all.

Speaker 4 (54:56):
When we opened the box with Prianca with that demon thing,
all of the cameras shut off, yes, multiple times, and
the crew was starting to be like, there's actually like
to a point of like almost frustration because out of
the sixteen episodes we have done, and they've also obviously
had done other projects, it's never happened never with their equipment,

(55:16):
never on the show, never never, never, And they kept
having to try to figure out like like as the
battery always him dying, like what everything just kept turning off?

Speaker 2 (55:24):
Like yeah, you don't you laugh when you hear about
the crew member. Yeah that I'm on the side of
the crew member who you've left anonymous, but you did
tell me off air her name was Susan. People, just
so that you know, justice for Susan, that really did

(55:45):
happen to justice for.

Speaker 1 (55:48):
Justice for Susan.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
And and Violet the demon who is exactly a companion
to Susan. Because of this experience you decided to have.
You guys, we have to wrap it up.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
I'm devastating, damn, but we need to do.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
This in person.

Speaker 3 (56:03):
I am going to.

Speaker 4 (56:06):
This.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
This is my petition to cast me in season three.
I will gladly go up to Canada and do this
please done done?

Speaker 4 (56:20):
Or even better, we go to San Francisco and we
go to Alcatraz.

Speaker 1 (56:26):
Yeah that could be fun, web to Alcatraz.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
Now I want to go to Canada.

Speaker 3 (56:30):
Okay, okay, yeah, come on over, Okay, We're gonna go
to Canada.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
Go to Canada. I was planning to go to Canada
on this road trip. I'm about to go on because
I'm going to Detroit and then I'm going to Buffalo,
and so I was planning to go through Toronto, but
I'm just too scared of a border right now, and
like being trans an American.

Speaker 3 (56:51):
Right right right, right, right fair.

Speaker 1 (56:53):
I mean to be honest, it kind of seems like
it's America who's being more difficult to Canadians than Canadians
to America, and so you might actually have an easy time.

Speaker 2 (57:02):
But I'm afraid coming back into the country that the
Americans are going to be like, who are you?

Speaker 1 (57:07):
So you're afraid of the Americans. Okay, there we goes.

Speaker 2 (57:09):
That makes no I'm a thousand present afraid of Americans,
very scared of Canada. I was like, we don't know,
are you kidding me? Absolutely not take me to Canada.
I'll be I'll be literally like doing backstrokes in Dildo
Pond if it was up.

Speaker 4 (57:27):
To me, not backstrokes and dildo That sounds like Alna
del Rey album.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
It's beautiful. Well, I'm so happy we did this, and
I want people to watch your show because you know,
there was some queer ghost hunting TV that happened very
briefly in America and it was international, but now it
is no longer able to be seen anywhere in the world.

(57:57):
So I'm happy that there is still LGBT queer ghost
hunting that people can see and it's you guys, So
tell them where they can eat it up.

Speaker 4 (58:11):
You can watch all of uses of ghosting on CBC's
YouTube channel in the United States and Canada.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
And what about your personal Like, what's tell people what
you want to know?

Speaker 3 (58:23):
Matthew's new movie Hell of a Summer is available on streaming.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
Wait you know what was like so weird? Is like,
so I meet this person on the dance floor in
the martal of the Ocean, and then I went to
go see this movie called like, what was it called
The Monkey? I think it was called Yeah, I go
see that movie and then I see this trailer and

(58:48):
I'm like, wait a second, is that the guy from
from the White Party? And then I like go on
my phone and everyone's sending me these clips of like
these people being asked they're gay in a haunted place
by a ghost, and I'm like, this is a Now
I'm being stocked. So then I drove one hundred miles

(59:12):
and I lived to get me to a church. So
you are in this movie with Finn Yes, with finn
Wolf are Billy Brick. They wrote it, they directed it,
they star in it, and yeah, it's really funny. It's
campy Billy Brick. He would you call me exactly? Now,
keep his name in your brain because he's blown up.

Speaker 1 (59:31):
He's so awesome.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
Yeah, it looks like such a cool movie.

Speaker 1 (59:36):
It's so camp literally shot out of summer camp. Yeah,
so uh yeah, check that out and follow ghosting online.
We're on TikTok, We're on Instagram and just being stupid
and gay Christian mingle.

Speaker 2 (59:48):
H oh it sounds like you need that from what
I'm hearing.

Speaker 3 (59:53):
Yeah, it's a little blessing here and there.

Speaker 1 (59:55):
Yeah, but this was so fun Ross thanks for having
us on, Like truly, this was a blast.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:01):

I'm I'm obsessed. We'll do something together at some point.

Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:00:09):
Oh it will be happening, mark my words.

Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
All right, Well, oh wait, you know, I do have
one question. I was wondering, are you gay?

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
What gave you that impression?

Speaker 3 (01:00:24):
I have a gay friend, I'm friends with gay people.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Frankie Grande Yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, Well I think I
got my answer, and I may no longer want to
talk to you guys. So that's that. Bye bye, thank you,
thank you so much, thank you, thank you so much

(01:00:51):
to Matthew and Luke, and I'm holding them to it.
I'm going on that show. I belong on that show.
