Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Have you ever
been working either at a job or on a project,
and suddenly suddenly you click with somebody and the energy
(00:26):
that you have together, the things that you create together,
the way that you bounce things off each other, it's spectacular,
it's miraculous, it's amazing. Have you ever had that experience.
I love it when that happens. I love it when
you're not expecting that kind of miracle and all of
(00:50):
a sudden things start coming together in such an amazing way.
Hi is this Jamie Anny.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
This is Jamie and Hi Delilah.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'm good? Thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Who's on your heart tonight?
Speaker 2 (01:06):
It's this very special person and his name is Brad.
He's my poor friend, and we just s meant three
months ago and he has practically made me so happy
in my life. I've never been this happy before. And
we're both from two different backgrounds. I'm Indian and he's Greek,
(01:27):
and I never thought that two years ago I would
be meeting such a wonderful person in my life.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Well, the good news. Is you both like really strong
flavored foods.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yes, that is true. I must admit that is very true.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
I'm trying to look for other similarities between these two
cultures and that's the only one that's coming to mind
real soon.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Well, we're both very open minded, and so are our parents.
And his mom is one of the most wonderful people
I've met, and he's always been there for me. And
just three months seems like forever.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Now where did you an Indian woman fall in love
with a Greek man?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Well, we both worked together at the same place and
he walked up to me at the service desk and
it was so funny. He had come in for a
job interview and I had mistaken him for someone else,
and I thought he knew my manager, so I let
him go upstairs and he got the job the very
same day, and after that we just went out for coffee.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
So basically, it was love at first sight. It was
and he saw you, you saw him, and that was it.
That's all she wrote.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
It was amazing and it's been like that ever since
the day I met him. He's so spontaneous and I
never know what he's going to do the next minute.
He makes me smile every single day, and I'm so
happy that I met a person like him.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Well, I have a feeling I can tell by the
tony your voice. I have a feeling you're going to
call me back, Jimmy Anne in the future with a
little sparkle on your finger. And I'm I'm going to
predict that you're going to call me back within the
next two years. Maybe, yeah, definitely the next two years,
telling me when when the big event is.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Wow, I hope that might happen. But it's all in
his hands and how much he loves me in cares
for me, So I hope things work. And thank you
for wishing us luck.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
I wish you luck, I wish you love, and I
wish you God's blessings.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Thank you so much, Julila, I was a pleasure.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Talking to you.
Speaker 1 (03:35):

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Who's this Hi, Caila, My name is Vinette.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
So tell me who has made an impact on your life?
Speaker 4 (03:45):
My wife, we have been married for about twelve years
and it wasn't ring marriage for us, Like we met
like ten days right before there our wedding, and we
didn't know each other. And now we have been happily
married for twelve years, so.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Who played matchmaker? Was it a family situation?
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah, it was a family situation, my parents and my
wife's parents.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
And after twelve years you're grinning. So you fell in love?
You obviously love her dearly? Was it love at first sight?
Did you grow in love?
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Yeah? Actually we grew in love, and you know, we
have been happily married since then, for the past twelve years.
And you know, it still seems like that we have
been married only for like very few years. Doesn't seem
like that long at all.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Do you have children?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Yeah, we have two beautiful girls. One is going to
be nine years and the second one is just three
years old.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
And are they the love of your life as well?
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Vinna. What's your wife's name, Conica? I hope that you
have many, many, many more years together in love. Are
your parents still alive.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Yeah, they are still alive and they're back in India.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, Okay, tell them next time you speak with them
that Delilah said, good choice, good job.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
I will thank you're very much. Delilah.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
I'll look up to you because you do a lot
of stuff with Ghana. I met the love of my
life three years ago. He was her own business meet
him two days before he left the States, and he's
from Ghana. And we had a period on a probably
a year, year and a half skye, you know, relationship
or whatever, and wound up going to Ghana for the
(05:50):
first time back in twenty twelve and I've been four
times and on my third trip we got married over there.
I just wanted to tell him I love him.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Well, I'm glad you made it through. I'm glad you've
been to my home away from home. Ghana is definitely
where my heart is, Isn't it beautiful?
Speaker 3 (06:12):
It's beautiful. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Have you guys been down to Cape Coast? Where does
what part does he live in?
Speaker 3 (06:18):
We just built a house. We're in Eastley Gone. But
he's from you know, Krah, He's well, he's actually originally
from Jopol over in the Voulta area. But yeah, we've
been down to Cape Coast and Kykom and all that.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Have you done the King Coomb skywalk. Yeah, isn't that fine?
Speaker 3 (06:37):
It's beautiful, but it's all worth it and I we'll
do it all over again.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Thank you for calling, thank you for sharing, and like
I said, thank you for loving my home away from home.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Thank you, Dania.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Good night. Hi, welcome to the Delilah Show. Who is this?
Speaker 5 (07:00):
Yes, this is Sarah.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Hi, Sarah. What can I do for you?
Speaker 5 (07:04):
I'm just calling to share the love that I have
for my husband.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
What's his name, Mohammed? And what do you want to
tell me about your hobby?
Speaker 5 (07:14):
We just got recently married about two months ago, and
he's an amazing man and he doesn't fail to make me.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Happy every day.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
So top top ten things? Okay, top two things you
love about your hobby?
Speaker 5 (07:28):
How he makes me smile and laugh every day, and
how he always tries to bring joy and happiness to
our life.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Those are good things, Yeah, they are. Those are really
good things.
Speaker 3 (07:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Here, I thought you were going to say something like,
you know, he's adorably cute, tour or something.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
He's very handsome, very tall. But you know, it's not
always about the looks. But he has both looks and
the charm.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
He is all that and a bag of chairs.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
Absolutely. It was hard to be together, but we made
it work.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
What were your biggest challenges.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
The biggest challenge was, you know, convincing two different cultures
that we would actually be successful and happy together.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
So there's peace in both families.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
There is, thankfully.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Wow, that's amazing.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
It is.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
That's miraculous.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
It is very miraculous.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Actually it is. When I was young, I married somebody
of a different culture and my father disown me and
he would have nothing to do with me after that.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
Yeah, that's that's how it started off. Almost no convincing
that when you know something great for you and you
know you're sure you want it, you have to fight
for what you want.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
I agree. I will play a sweet song for you.
Thank you for listening, thank you for calling.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
Thank you so much, Delilah h.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
I so hope you have enjoyed these radio moments as
much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share
more with you each weekday on Hey It's Delila
