Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Hey it's Delilah.
I want to know who you're crushing on. Who do
(00:23):
you have a crush on? Call me and tell me,
And right now I'm going to share some of those
little crush stories with you. Hi, Delilah, Kathy welcome. How
can I help you?
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Well? I was wondering if I could dedicate a song
to Jeremy.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Who's Jeremy.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Jeremy is a guy I have a crush on. He
works at a bookstore near my house and I started
going there recently and kind of I didn't go there
a little more often since I met him, and this
from the first time we talked. We hit it off
(01:02):
and I have just really grown to really like him
a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
So how many times a week do you go into
this bookstore?
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Now?
Speaker 4 (01:11):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Two or three a week?
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Or a day?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
I guess a day?
Speaker 5 (01:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Uh huh, you say.
Speaker 6 (01:20):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
I wanted to pick up a card for my mom
and I wanted to see if you had that new
for him video. Yeah, that's it. And I needed to
look at the books yeah, right, So you got a
big time crush going on. Oh yeah, And do you
think he feels the same way.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
I'd like to think so, but I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Has he called you?
Speaker 5 (01:46):
Is he, you know, tried to get in touch with
you outside of your visits to the store.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
No, how old are you?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I'm twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
How old is he?
Speaker 5 (01:54):
He's thirty and he hasn't like taken a hint. Huh No,
Well let me see what we can do. We'll play
a song for him. What's his name again?
Speaker 2 (02:04):
His name is Jeremy.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
We'll play a song for Jeremy and hope that he's
bold next time you come in the store and invites
you out to coffee or something. Hi?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Who is this?
Speaker 5 (02:19):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Rachel? What can I do for you? Rachel?
Speaker 6 (02:22):
Okay? I he can't hear this right now because he's
in a plane and flying around in a huge helicopter.
He's a marine and wait.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Wait wait wait wait wait wait back up? Who's him?
What's his name? Jake?
Speaker 6 (02:36):
Is his name Jake?
Speaker 4 (02:37):
And I let.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Jakie cupcakey, he's a marine? Yes, Sergeant Cupcake.
Speaker 6 (02:47):
Yes, Sergeant Cupcake. Yes. I think I just I think
you just made a new name name for him.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Okay, tell me about Jakie Cupcakey, who's flying around on
one of those big choppers.
Speaker 6 (02:58):
Well, I met him through one of my great great friends, Miranda,
and I just I honestly, when I met him, I
was fed up with men. I'm only twenty one, but
I was fed up and I just didn't want to
deal with them anymore. And the funny part is that
I wasn't too happy, so I didn't exactly have a
(03:20):
smile on my face.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
And okay, okay, the long and the short is, you
are stupid in love. You are sprung on this guy.
You're talking every night, and you're hoping he's gaga over
you pretty much.
Speaker 6 (03:31):
Yeah yeah, he's been in the Marines for five years,
and just I'm beyond aesthetic for him to come home
and so I can we can go on our first
date and just yeah he's yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, just girlfriend, just say I'm bit by the love bug.
I got a bad Delilah, I got it Badli, I
got a wicked bad.
Speaker 6 (03:57):
Oh man.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yeah, okay, so let me find the perfect song for
Jakie Sergeant Jakie Cupcakey.
Speaker 6 (04:06):
Yes, that would be great.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
You have a good night.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
You two Delilah, bye bye.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Hi Michael, how are you This evening?
Speaker 7 (04:24):
Good?
Speaker 3 (04:24):
And you?
Speaker 1 (04:25):
I could not be better? What can I do for
you tonight?
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Well?
Speaker 7 (04:29):
I was wondering if you could find a song for
me for a special person in my life.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Sure, who is the special person? And what would you
like to tell them?
Speaker 7 (04:40):
Oh? Well, it's a friend who I work with, and
I'm not sure how she feels, and work kind of
found down the dating of co workers. But I just,
you know, I sought her to know that. I think
she's a wonderful person. Matter of fact, she's the one
that got me listening to you about a week and
(05:00):
a half, two weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
You have a crush on a coworker. Can you tell
me her name? Or will that be violating company policy?
Speaker 7 (05:09):
No, her name is Christine.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Okay, So her name is Christine? And how long have
you been working together?
Speaker 7 (05:16):
Almost a year?
Speaker 6 (05:16):
Now?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Are you her supervisor or is she yours?
Speaker 7 (05:21):
No, ma'am, neither one.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
That's good. And is this a job that you would
think of making a career out of or is it
just a job to make money?
Speaker 7 (05:29):
Late of the job that I am making a career
out of.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
However, she is not and does she feel equally attracted
to and smitten by you.
Speaker 7 (05:38):
I'm not sure. We talk a lot outside of work
and everything, but I'm not sure how she feels.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Okay, that's something you need to find out. So it's
time for a little confession session. You need to sit
down with this lady and say, I have a confession
to make. I think about you twenty four hours a day,
seven days a week, pretty much, and I'm just wondering
if there's the same kind of attraction on your part
because I'm willing to throw away my career in pretty
(06:06):
much everything else. If you'll just say yes, you'll go
out and have a cup of coffee with me.
Speaker 7 (06:10):
Yeah, I'm just a little fearful of that.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
I will find a song for you, and I will
wish you luck.
Speaker 7 (06:18):
Thank you, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Okay, Hi, who is this?
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Hi? This is Christy.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Christy? What can I do for you?
Speaker 4 (06:32):
I was going to ask if you could play a
song for me.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
That's pretty much what I do every night, Christy, It's
about all I do every night.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
I used to buy furniture from the specific store, and
when I saw the person who always helped me with
my furniture payment, every time I would pay something, I
would go back and buy something else. This I could
go into the store and see him.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
This, christ could have gotten very expensive.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Christy, It did, it did?
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (07:05):
So how many pieces of furniture did you purchase that
you didn't really want or need just to see mister
cutie face out sick? Are we talking like furniture like
a footstool or are we talking like an expensive couch?
Speaker 4 (07:20):
I'm talking couches, jewelry, stereo system.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Oh, Christie, Christy, Christy, couldn't you have found some guy
that worked at a donut shop?
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Would have saved you a lot of money.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Honey, Delilah, you should see him. He is beautiful. He's
got the most beautiful smile ever saying.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
And you've got the most beautiful furniture, so I would know.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
So you've won as hard? Are you telling me that
you don't have to keep shopping there? That he's now yours?
Speaker 1 (07:49):
You bought the main item.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
No, I moved out of town, and I've just recently
moved back. And I called the store that he was
working at and that he no longer works.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Oh no, So you spent all that money collecting stuff
you didn't need probably went into debt that you shouldn't
have and he's gone.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
I did it for about four and a half years.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
So what is mister wonderful's name?
Speaker 4 (08:15):
His name is Kevin.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
You got it bad and that ain't good. Yeah, let
me play a song for you. Christy, you have a
good night.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Thank you too.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
