Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Through You know,
there's a lot of talk in our society. A lot
(00:22):
of people use buzzwords intentional, intentionality, intention this, intention that,
or vulnerability. There's all these buzzwords. If you watch little
clips on social media, it's almost like they try to
cram as many of the buzzwords as they possibly can
(00:45):
into a minute long thesis presentation. But there is a
buzzword that I love, spiritual growth. It's something that comes
in and out of pop ularity, but it is such
an important part of life. You know, we're not just
(01:07):
human bodies walking around. We also have emotions, we also
have thoughts, and I believe we are spiritual in nature.
Spiritual growth is about confronting our fears so that we
might attain wonderment. Are you willing to confront your fears
(01:33):
so that you can attain wonderment? Hi? Good evening.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Who is this?
Speaker 3 (01:43):
This is Crystal? I am calling to talk about my
wonderful boyfriends. So he's lived long distance from me, a
few states away. We've been dating for two years and
he is such a wonderful guy. I just wanted to
share with everyone how rate he is a good listener,
how our relationship is based on trust and everything.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
It would have to be if it's been long distance
for two years.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Oh yes, let me tell you it would.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Work very well if there weren't that trust thing going on.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
That and a lot of phone called let me tell you.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
I bet And what's his name, Crystal Kyle? So will
Kyle be going to your area? Will you be going
to Kyle's? Are you guys going to find some place
in between?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Well, you know, he's actually going to seminary school where
he's at and we don't know where he what's church
or anything he's going to be at when he graduates.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Is he going to like that's.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
What's his degree in? Is he going to be a pastor?
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Yes, he's going to be a pastor here. He has
a bachelor's in religion, but now he's going for his
master's in divinity, so he'll be a Lucan pastor.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
S Are you prepared, Crystal.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
For the I really don't the position.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Of maybe being a pastor's wife, because I could put
you in touch with a lot of them that might
you know, have some insight and some wisdom as to
you know what that's like at three o'clock in the
morning every night when your phone rings and somebody's sick
or in the hospital, or dying or breaking up or
on drugs.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Oh, I know, And you know, I'm just praying that
if he is the right man for me, then then
the Lord's going to prepare me for whatever we have
set before us.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
That is the right attitude.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
That's the only way I can look at it.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Good for you, girlfriend, I'll play a good song to
keep you too close in your hearts. I got the
sweetest letter from three sisters, not sisters like adopted sisters
or biological sisters, but three felician sisters. They write, Hello, Delilah,
(03:58):
you have three Felicians sister fans from Michigan. We are
sisters Agnes Marie, Sister Jane Mary, and Sister Darlene Marie.
We sit outside at our central Convent and while watching
the dear turkeys and other wildlife on our property, we
listen to your radio station. We enjoy the relaxing music
(04:21):
and the conversations you have that help people. You are
an inspiration to us, and we are an inspiration to
each other. When you can, could you please play a
song for the three of us, who are the best
of friends. We will continue to pray for the success
of your radio show, for your family and your many
(04:44):
other listening fans. God be with you from your three
sister fans. Ah, thank you, thank you, thank you. I
appreciate your prayers, and there are so many peopleeople who
called the show who desperately need those prayers. So thank you,
(05:07):
thank you, thank you. And here, sisters is a song
for you three.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Hi. My name is Jessica.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Oh, I'm so glad to talk to you.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Hi, Jessica, welcome aboard. What can I do for you?
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Well?
Speaker 4 (05:30):
I wanted to tell you about my fiance and I.
We met a few years ago and he was discerning
to be a priest and I was descerning to be
a nun. And we met and we fell in love,
and now we're getting married in August.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
And there went the churches, two really good workers for
the future, waltzing down the aisle, and they're going, no,
we don't have enough priest, enough nuns, No come back.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
I always imagine the moment that I would call and
let you know of my love story, and I have one,
and I'm so in love with him, Delilah. He's such
a sacrificial man and he's just so wonderful and bring
such joy to my life.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
So what's your honey's name?
Speaker 4 (06:23):
His name is Garrett.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Garrett, Father Garrett. Oh sorry forgot.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
No, not gonna be father Garrett until you two get
married and have a baby, exactly, all right, Go give
him hugs and kisses, and I'll play a song for you.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Hi. Will we're actually trying to find a first dance song.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Oh, so you've called me. You've called the expert.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Yes I did.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I'm glad because you know, you could have called somebody else.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
You could have called an amateur, and they could have
picked a really bad first dance song, and then every
time you heard it, you'd think, I can't believe we
picked this lame song. But you called the expert, and
I will find the perfect first.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Dance song for you and your beloved.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Is this Alexandra?
Speaker 5 (07:19):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (07:19):
It is.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
What can I do for you?
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Well?
Speaker 5 (07:22):
First of all, I just want to say how much
I really enjoy your show. I'm in college and my
days have been really stressful lately.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Too many papers, too many tests, too many books to read,
not enough time, right.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
And I'm also student teaching, starting my student teaching, So
that's kind of crazy.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
And let's not mention too many really cute guys on campus. Yeah,
that sort of take your focus off of things like
test and writing papers and stuff.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
But actually, I'm kind of in a relationship, kind of
not but I'm I'm kind of pursuing a career in
the church. I'm Catholic, and I go to a Catholic college,
and I'm feeling called to enter a convent after college.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Really, yes, you're going to become a nun.
Speaker 5 (08:07):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
How old are you?
Speaker 5 (08:09):
I just turned twenty one on October.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
The tenth, So I guess that's why you're kind of
not going to be in this relationship anymore with this
young man, right, If you're feeling God is calling you
to that, I guess that's sort of what's the guy's name, George?
George is going to get the strangest Dear John letter
of all time. Yeah, Dear George, there's another man in
my life.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
Yeah, the name also starts as the G.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
He's he's a lot older than you. Yeah, been around
thousands of years in fact since the creation.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
Of all that ever was Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Wow, how do your folks feel about this?
Speaker 5 (08:48):
My dad and my mom are divorced, and my mom
is kind of hesitant about it. I'm her only child,
so and her only daughter, so she's kind of like, well,
don't rush into anything, and you know, the typical mom thing.
And my dad told me that he's behind me one
hundred percent no matter what I do. And I've been
filling this call for six years now.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
So well, if that's what God is speaking to your heart,
only you and God know that. Yeah, yeah, you have
to do what you think you have to do.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yeah, congratulations, good luck in school.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
I love you, Delilah, Thank you Lord, bless you, honey.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
I so hope you will enjoy these radio moments.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
As much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll
share more with you each weekday. I'm a It's Delilah.
