Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast, to Love.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Hard, to believe that July is almost over.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Back to school supplies are in full bloom in every
aisle of every store. And while it's important to start
thinking about school, don't let summer pass you by. Make memories,
go camping, have a bonfire out back, Spend time with
your kids, or your grandkids or your best friends. Fall
(00:44):
in love, let yourself fall in love with life. Maybe
with the partner, but it's much more important to fall
in love with living. Life is so precious, especially in
the summer, when there's summer nights and moonlit walks and
(01:05):
campfires and some wars come on. Life doesn't get sweeter
than when you're sharing us some war with someone you love.
Don't run away from life. Run headlong into life, my friend,
like you're running off a dock and jumping in the
cold water. Run headlong into living.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Hi, good evening.

so cool.

It's so nice to meet you.
Speaker 6 (04:26):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
What can I do for you?
Speaker 7 (04:28):
Well, I'm calling in response to an email that I
sent you about summer traditions with families.
Speaker 6 (04:34):
Tell me your favorite summertime thing to do, Robin, My.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
Favorite summertime thing was every August, our family would get
together out on the front lawn and watch the Percied
meteor shower. And you know, we weren't we sort of
lost touch with each other over the years, beginning when
I was a teenager, but you know, we always found
time to be together this time of year, to to
(05:01):
just lay out there and watch the sky and talk.
We could talk about anything, we could laugh a lot easier,
and it was just a beautiful time. And it was
something so simple, was just watching the meteors and you know,
just being there together that it's really impacted me and
just started when when I was about thirteen. And I'm
(05:22):
twenty five now, and you know, our family far away
from me, and you know we've sort of grown apart,
but still this memory is just so it's so beautiful,
and I continue to watch the meteors and it was
just a very special time. And I think that I
think that without that, it was some nervous and.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Watch the stars.
Speaker 7 (05:49):
Yes, and it was just we could talk and laugh
so much easier than you know, sitting across the table
or going on vacations or it was just very beautiful
and keeping keeping life simple, you know it. It was
very special and I will always treasure those memories. And
you know, now, my boyfriend and I every year we
go out there, and except for when weather doesn't permit,
(06:11):
we were out there watching the stars, and it's it
was a very special time for us. And that's you know,
that's what I remember most about summers.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Well, you hang on to that memory and let me
find a song to celebrate that night under the stars.
Speaker 7 (06:27):
Oh, thank you so much, and it's so nice to
meet you.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Thank you. You have a good night, hunt you too.
Bye bye. Hi, good evening.
Speaker 6 (06:39):
Welcome to the Delilah Show. Who is this?
Speaker 4 (06:43):
This is Robert Ryerson.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Robert, how are you this evening?
Speaker 4 (06:47):
I'm doing marvelous Delilah. I've tried so many times to
call you, and I finally got through. I just got
off work.
Speaker 6 (06:53):
And how was work on a hot summer night?
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Well, I was in side. I actually work in an
EO all right, in the emergency room. As a empty
and it was a rough night, I must say, but
we saved some lives and also had a couple pass,
but I made it through it.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Well. Thank you for being there and thank you for
giving all, and thank you for loving. And I'm glad
you said it was a rough night when you said
some of past, because that means you have compassion.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Yes, ma'am. And I wanted to also give a shout
out to a couple people you included. I love your show.
I listened to it every night. I'm twenty years old,
and I want to thank God for giving me through
everything and also the people I work with. It's been
a long journey and everything, and I'm just glad to
have the people in my life that I have in
my life. So I just want to let you know
you helped me out a lot and get through a
(07:43):
lot of things.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
So what can I play for you tonight?
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Something that will, you know, lift everybody up if they're
having a bad night, and just you know, make them
appreciate life more because I know I do work in
an emergency room and seeing what I see it really
makes me appreciate life a lot more.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Well, God bless you, honey. I hope that you continue
to do good for the world, that you continue to
bless others, and that tomorrow or whenever you go back
to work, you'll call me and say we had nothing
but saved lives tonight.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
How cool would that be? Let me get a song
on for you. God bless honey, God bless you. To
bye bye. I so hope you have enjoyed these radio
moments as much as I enjoy bringing them to you.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
I'll share more with you each weekday on Hey It's Delilah.
