Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Hey it's Delilah. Today,
I'm sharing some of the greatest calls I've taken recently.

(00:24):
We're going to weave them together and share them with
you on Hey It's Delilah. Hi Mark, Hi, welcome, This
is Delilah. What can I do for you?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Well, I wanted to make a dedication to my fiancee, Debbie.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
And what do you want to tell your honey?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Wow, I don't know where to begin. I'd just like
to tell her how much, how much I love her,
how much she means to me?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
When are you getting married?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Nine months?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
How long did you know or Mark? Before you knew
you wanted to spend your life with her?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
A couple of weeks. Maybe it's kind of hard to
describe how I feel, but I you know, I'd just
like her to know how much I love her, how
much she means to me, how much joy she's brought
to my life.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
How is how has your life been changed or how
has your heart been enlarged since you met this wrong?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Well, I was in a I was in a pretty
bad marriage for a long time. I hadn't been happy
for a long time, probably ten or fifteen years.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
So what do you think is going to be different
with this woman you're involved with now? That's going to
keep love alive as opposed to your marriage? Because I'm
sure you loved your wife dearly when you're married.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Well, I certainly thought I did.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
So what are you going to.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Do different to ensure that this time around? You say
you're getting married. What are you going to do different
so that you don't repeat the same pattern?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Well, I guess I'm going to look back just enough
to try to learn from whatever mistakes I can see
that I made, and I guess probably more than anything else. Communication.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
How often do you talk to Debbie Mark every day?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Oh? Well, we're together every night, and we talk on
the phone anywhere from half a dozen to a dozen
times a day.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
And that doesn't get under your skin and annoy the
heck out of you because she's distracting you from work
or whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
No, never, really, really.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
You welcome her presence in your life. You welcome that
connection always. Hi, good evening.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Who is this isn't Nelda?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Nelda? What can I do for you.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
I was just calling in to see if you could
play a song for my kids who are visiting my
parents and I'm missing them.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
How many kids I have three?

Speaker 4 (02:40):
One one I left behind, so my other two should
be coming home in about a week or two.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
So they're getting spoiled by grandma.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Oh yes, very spoiled.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Very spoiled. Oh I used to love summertimes. I lived
with my grandma every summer, and she spoiled me so rotten.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Oh yes, then I was feeling kind of funny. I
was surprised I got through it. I've been playing for
the past two years and I've never gotten through.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Well.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
See, God knew you needed to get through tonight because
you're feeling lonely, missing the big son.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
I'm so happy I did.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
And here's the thing he wants you to know. It's
okay to go spoil yourself. That what the kid's gone.
Go out with your husband, Go do something fun, Go
to au salon and get your hair cut, or go
get a pedicure. Go spoil yourself.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Mom.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Actually that's what I'm planning on going tomorrow. I'm I'm
one of my friends of mine gave me a certificate
for the day blow. So I'm gonna go spoil myself.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Go spoil yourself with the day spall. Let me find
a song for you.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Thank you so much, Elilah. You have a good night.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Okay, bye bye, honey. Joe, what can I do for you?

Speaker 6 (04:02):
Well, I'd like you to play something special for my wife.
We've been married seventeen and a half years and she's
a great mother to about three kids, a great friend,
so let know her, but most of all, she's the
best wife in the whole wide world. I'm going through
a special workout plan and diet because I'm going into

(04:23):
a competition tomorrow, and she's been there for me.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
What kind of competition?

Speaker 6 (04:29):
Oh, kind of embarrassing because it's my first time doing it.
It's a bodybuilding competition. I'm forty four years old and
I've never done anything like this before in my life.
And she's been there for me, prepared my meals.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
So are you doing the tons of protein, eating raw
eggs and all that stuff?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (04:46):
Yeah, you could say that turkey, fish, chicken, eggs, a
lot of eggs, particularly with the fish. When she would
cook my meals the fish, she says, oh, sticks up
the house. But she would do it anyway for me.
And she's out tonight over a friend's house. Our friend
is having ladies' night out and all the ladies are
over there, and before she left, she goes, would you
want me to stay home with you tonight? And I says, no,

(05:09):
you go ahead, you need a night out. So she's
just unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
So you two have a very supportive relationship.

Speaker 6 (05:15):
Oh yes, Oh yes, definitely. And I've been thanking her
through this whole thing for supporting me, and I tell
her every day that I love her and thank you
so much for doing this, for making my meals. But
I think by playing a special song for her, I
think it'll put the icing on the cake. She's everybody's from. Now.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Are you allowed to eat the icing on the cake?
Or is that out right now?

Speaker 6 (05:36):
After tomorrow night? I can't and I can't wait for that.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Let me find the song for you and your wine.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Daylah Hi, good evening. Who is this?

Speaker 5 (05:52):
My name is Kimberly, Kimberly.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
What can I do for you?

Speaker 5 (05:55):
I want to make a dedication. Tomorrow is my three universary.
I had brain surgery three years ago, and what's really
extraordinary is I had a dream that I had a
brain tumor, and then two days later I had the
same dream, and that's one sent me to the doctors
and the doctor thought I was crazy and they did

(06:16):
the MRI and you know, she called me on my
cellphone and said, we found it and we got it
and thank god it was benign. But I had surgery.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
And so so you've you found out through a dream
that you had a brain tumor. Yes, and on a
dream they allowed you to have the MRI.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
Well, she put headaches down so the insurance company would
pay for it.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Nice of her.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Wow, it was.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Just an extraordinary I had. I was in surgery for
six hours. Thank god it has not shown up in
three years, so I didn't have to have any more surgery.
But I've had a wonderful mother that took care of me.
My stepfather, my former boss called me every single day.
I mean, that's extraordinary for a boss. She called me
every single day and came to see me in the hospital,

(07:05):
came to my house, and my family was extraordinary and
all my friends. My one friend got me to spear
and had brandages around the brain. It was just so cute.
So they helped me through it, and I can't believe tomorrow.
So it's a pretty emotional day tomorrow, since it seems
like it was yesterday.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Sometimes congratulations, let me find a song for you.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
I so hope you'll enjoyed these radio.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Moments as much as I enjoy bringing them to you.
I'll share more with you each weekday on a It's Delilah.
