Speaker 1 (00:01):
I ambarrassed.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hi everyone, welcome back to I am Paris.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
I am back with my beautiful friend making trainer to
talk about how she's living her life right now.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
When you get me beautiful, I literally feel like a princess.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
No, the whole time you've been talking, I've just been
looking at you, like, she looks so beautiful, you look
so beautiful.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Amazing you.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Every day I literally will sit because a lot of
your hairstyles come to me because I'm like, I want
that one and they're the best ever, and I say,
I literally will be like, they'll say, what do you
want to do today?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I go, Please make me Paris.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Hooting Yes, every day, give me the Paris.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
And I was like, I have the Paris. Please, thank you.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
You carry it so.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Well, you wondered, God, I love you.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I love you. Yes.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
So.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Your new album, Timeless came out on June seventh. Congratulations
too much.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
I love it so much. What was the message you
wanted to convey with your album?

Speaker 1 (01:08):
You're gonna love this because this is us. We want
to be timeless forever. We want to live forever. I
been telling people if there was a pill, and they're like,
you could live forever. I'd be like, you know, I
would eat that up. I think like I've always had
a weird relationship with death and like afraid, yeah, I
hate it. I don't like it, and I scared. I

(01:31):
had babies and I was like, oh no, I need
to live forever. Yeah, and when I can't, I need
to learn how to be a ghost, like I need to.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Haunt them too.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I was like, dude, show me proof of ghosts so
I know I can haunt them forever and be around
like I need that or I'm going to freak out.
So my album Timeless, I want to be timeless. I
also want to learn how to live in the present moment,
live like I'm timeless, love like I'm timeless, and not
be so spooked and scared, but try to enjoy every

(02:01):
moment I have. And there's a beautiful ballad on this
album called Timeless that I knew, like the concept before
I even wrote it, and knew the album would be that.
But it's a beautiful ballad that is about like my
fear of not being here forever. But also I made
it more relatable and that so dark and made it
a beautiful love song that could be played at weddings,

(02:22):
you know, kind of my I'm gonna love you like
I'm gonna lose you just to point out, you know.
So there's that, and then the rest of the album
is literally upbeat, happy self love anthems, like I think
the most on an album there ever was.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
It's just like.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Another positive love myself's song. And then there's one other
special song called Forget How to Love, and that's for
the queer community LGBTQIA plus because when I was having
my C section online I saw so much hate, like
more than ever I saw it extra and it was

(02:59):
like breaking my heart.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
When I was recovering.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
I it was only like seven days out from my
C section, but I was like, I gotta write this
song Forget how to Love, because that's what it feels like.
It feels like everyone online, I'm like, are they getting louder?
Are they getting more mean?

Speaker 2 (03:12):
You know what? I'm confused.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
I feel like like we're going backwards in time, you know,
and it's just getting harder and scarier. And so I
wanted to write a song in general for humans to
be like, did you forget that we're all the same here?
Like when I bleed, you bleed like the same thing.
When I cry, you cry, it's the same tears, my dude,

(03:37):
Like we are all just trying to survive and just
trying to make it through this hard thing called life
and like relax.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
So that was a special song and it's important, and
that was like the first one I did.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
You're gonna love it. How was it to work with
tea paint on Ben like this?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
It was a bucket list dream come true for me
being good. I listened to him all throughout middle school
in high school and he was there for my deepest
darkest moments and my first time I ever partied and
first time I fell in love and first time I partied,
and he was I just love his song so much.

(04:17):
He inspires me so much, and in his songwriting he
taught me like backgrounds can be the lead, and words
that don't rhyme can rhyme like so many cool tricks,
and his maladies are so catchy. I was like, I
want to write a song that's as catchy as like
buy you a Drink and you know and all of
his hits. So working with him, I wanted to for

(04:39):
so long, but I needed it to be the perfect song.
And we both sent each other like one song at
one point and nothing happened. But this time I was like,
sir tee pain, I will do anything it takes for
you to say yes, for you to write a verse
to my tracks. So I sent him Ben like this
and he was like this is sick and then didn't
really respond and I was like, hey, how's that verse

(05:01):
and didn't respond, and then he ghosted me for months.
I'm talking like four months, and I was like, my
hero hates me. I'm gonna cry. I was like, he
hates me, he hates my work, he hates me. And
then on my thirtieth birthday party, he showed up and
surprised me, and not only surprised me, but was like,
I did.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
That verse on your song. I'm so sorry I ghost
to do. The team made me like they were like,
save it for a birthday. I was like these thanks.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
I was miserable, and then he played it for me
and was like I also featured on another song, and
I was like, this is the greatest birthday I'll ever have.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
It's overrap now like this is it.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
And I was crying and my dad was crying because
they knew how much this meant to me. The songs
he featured on were the two songs that my brothers
both wrote on with me, so they were crying.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
They were like, we have a song with t Pain
and I was like, I'm on it too. But it
was great. It was very magical.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
What's your favorite song on that album? WHOA, that's hard.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Favor song on the album.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
It changes every day, But.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
What's today's fave.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Today's fave is to the Moon. I'm very proud of her.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
I hope she doesn't get overlooked by the other songs.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
I'm obsessed with all the photos and videos from it.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
So hard you you inspire me. You're my space queen.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
Yes, oh infinity, Infinity.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Oh yeah, I love that song.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
It's so beautiful, so good. That's such like I can
imagine at a music festival, just like right raging to it.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I've been to a music festival and so long.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
You haven't.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
No, I've never ever been to Coachella. I saw you slide.
Do you look so good? Thank you? I don't do
hot well. You don't do hot well either, How do
you do that?

Speaker 3 (06:52):
I got these new electric fans that are so good.
They like it turns into like air conditioning. So it's
very cold, really strong.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
That's good.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I need it.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
What about the dust in your nose? It's not as.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Bad like a burning man it's bad. Coachella, it's not
that bad unless it gets windy, okay, and then you
kind of just like get away from it.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
See.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
I watched Beyonce on my TV live from the comfort
of my couch, and I was I had the best view,
you know, and I was like standing and jumping, and
I was like, nothing.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Will beat this. I was like, Dade, why would I go?

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Yeah, but I get it. I don't, but someday I
might go.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
I want to go to e DC next year. I
love it. Wow, it's so sick love.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
You'll do it.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
It'll be great.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
So you have millions of followers across all platforms. What
are some of the things you enjoyed most about social media?

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Oh man, it's uh.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
It's a great way to get my songs out there,
like better than any other way of trying. Like, I
do a lot of promo for my album and I'm
running to different places and I'm always like, what are
we doing? But when I'm doing social media, I'm like,
we're home.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
This is easy.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
All I have to do is be cute and then
I can get like millions of people to hear my song,
Like how what a treat, you know, And the fans
on these apps are so aggressive and great. And when
they make songs to my videos, I sit there for hours,
like no one will know. I check the sound and
I sit for hours, and I'm herding and reposting as
fast as I can while watching every single video and

(08:43):
commenting yes, and like, I hope they know it's me.
I hope they don't think like, oh, her team just reposts.
I'm like, no, babes, it was me, and I see you.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
A lot of people don't believe it's me either.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Yeah, they don't believe that it's us. It's me. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
So that's like the best part of like, you know,
making the song from scratch and seeing it be born
and then being like, oh man, this relates to someone else.
They they love it and it's making them happy. It's
just the best feeling ever. It's so cool just to
see how creative people can get. Oh not funny, some
of the funny. Dude. Yeah, I have a song I

(09:19):
want to thank Me that came out and they all
like have different Some are like serious, it's like I'm
working on my mental health, I'm being a mom. I'm
going to work, and like those are amazing. But then
I also see like funny ones. It's like, I don't
know if this is funny, but it's just off of
simple things like I want to thank me for studying
really hard.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
On that test. I'm like, period, you did it. You know.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
It's just like the best way to feel more relatable
with everyone.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
Yeah, I love it. TikTok is so much fun.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
It's great. You're so good at it.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Thank you, You're so good at it.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
You trying.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
How did you meet Chris Olson?

Speaker 2 (09:57):
He came over and did my podcast that you did.
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
I worked forever working on it with my brother and
my husband, and we had Chris come over as a guest,
and he immediately we were soulmates, and I was like,
why are we best friends? And then we figured out
our birthdays at the same day, and I was like, oh,
there it is. And he also knew where I was from.
A lot of people don't know Nantucket Island and he's like, no,

(10:22):
I would vacation there, Like I've been there a bunch
and I was.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Like, how did I miss you? Because I am five
years older.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
But he like photoshopped these pictures of him as a
kid and me as a kid on Nantucket. It's like
back when we would hang out on Nantucket. And then
we did a bunch of tiktoks like that and I
loved it, and he showed me how he does tiktoks.
He does like a whole list, and he's like, we're
going to achieve this and this and this and this,
and I was like that was fun, Like that felt amazing.

(10:52):
I want to do that more and more. And we
started doing it for fun, and then I was like,
I want to like hire you to do this with me,
and I want to pay to be my best friend.
And then he just naturally became my best friend. And
then I was like, you should do this for a
living and like help other artists.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Like what you did for me is incredible.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
He's brilliant.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah, he's brilliant.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
I love him. What you guys do together, it's always
so hilarious.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
He works so hard and he's great. He's a charactercause
he doesn't have to, like he doesn't have to do
all that stuff for me. You know uncle Chris, Uncle Chris.
The kids love him, my kid when they come over.
Riley says gay rights and then he's a PI queen,
Yes right, trained him well.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
I love it so Made You Look bluw up on
TikTok with millions of people.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Using the song. Did you ever expect such a response?

Speaker 2 (11:44):
You never do.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
I always think, like my best songs like don't have
those moments. And then with made You Look, I I
remember I just filmed me looking real hot. I was
in Australia doing Australian idol and I was in this
hot cat suit and I just was like, screw it,
I'm gonna sing the chorus and just lip sync it
and put the lyrics out so everyone can learn it

(12:06):
with me. And that video just like popped off. I
think I was just looking too good. You know, They're like,
oh no, hard it repose And then everyone started using
the sound. Brookie and Jesse, these amazing girls from the
UK made a dance to it, and that went viral
and everyone started doing the dance.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
I learned the dance.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
I started doing it everywhere I could, with anyone who
would do it with me, and it was just like
it reignited my whole career.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
I was like, oh, I can make music that people
will like. You know. It was the best feeling ever.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
It felt like my birthday every day and it inspired
me to keep going into write this whole album. You know,
It's like, Okay, people are still digging this. I'm gonna
keep going every day. At ten years now, I'm on
my ten year anniversary of blah blaha bass. I'm like,
y'all still want me music, right you?

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Queen Sick.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Yes, that's so much fun talking about the presence, and
next episode we'll be talking about the future.
