But I realized I didn't know much when I first
started reading. They said it was three runs of the KKK.
First in eighteen sixty five. When they were started, six
Confederate veterans founded in Pulaski, Tennessee. They were just a
vigilante group that wanted to just stop the ideas of reconstruction.
Jeff Vigilante's nobody were paying them for this. They were
like Batman because he's a vigilante, and many of them

had a bat Man and I'm sure they were robbing
black people. The first grand Wizard was Nathan Bedford. Hold
onto that name for a second now. The first clan
disbanded when they saw Jim Crow Laws put into effect.
They were like, we don't need a Clearly, the Jim
Crow Laws will protect all of US white people. But
by nineteen fifteen they were back down there in Atlanta,

Georgia this time. And by nineteen twenty five, did you
know that the clan had a march on Washington. That's
for a whole other episode. But jet No, they had
about four million members at the time. But then they
said a series of sex scandals, internal battles over power,
blah blah blah, and the group's influence was heavily reduced. Right,
So the third time they rose was nineteen sixties, and

this of course was to oppose the civil rights. Now
that's probably the clan you're most familiar with. They was
responsible for such tragedies as the sixteen streat Baptist Church
bombing in Birmingham, Alabama. Now the more I read, the
more I saw that after things like COVID and time,
you know that the clan is gone. But you remember
that name, Nathan Beckford. I told you to hold on

two a minute ago. The first Grand Wizard of the KKK,
the Tennessee State Capital Commission. They just voted to remove
his bust from the state Capitol building. July nine, twenty twenty.
It's KKK organizations in Mississippi Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida,
