This is I.

Want your Flex with Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon. Mike
and Dan break down everything you need to set your lineups,
from position rankings.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
To starts and sits.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
The guys help you make those hard decisions. And now
let's get your flex on. Here's Dan Bayer and Mike Harmon.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Welcome in.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
It's I want your Flex. He's Mike Carmon. Hit him
up at Swallow Dome. You can find me at Dan
Bayer on Fox. We are through the Thanksgiving weekend, Mike.
A lot of turkeys in the NFL in the well
as it about it.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Well, we now hit the hit the home stretch.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
But your bears winners on Monday night or near my
losers on Monday night.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
I'm so conflicted about it though, Dan, right, it's the
I like to see progress, like to see the d
fence flying around, like to see him catch like they
did didn't do against Detroit. You know what are potentially
obvious pick sixes. I just like saying pick six but
you know montes sweat comes over, you're getting pressure, you're
getting improvement there justin fields except for the two fumbles,

(01:18):
And there was another run at towards the end of
the game where he started to get into space and
you saw his other hand come up right, it's contacts,
like there you go, justin Yeah, that other arms gotta
be there once you get away from the tackles. But
those two fumbles, notwithstanding, you saw some good things. His
connections to DJ Moore started out twelve to twelve. Not

(01:39):
really excited that seventeen of the passes were added behind
the line of scrimmage and the fact that they scored
no touchdowns. But you know, it's one of those I
like the progress. I think, God, I'd still rather have
the loss. You're not going anywhere.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Yeah, I get that, And you know, here's here's the
other thing as well, like fields.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
On the fumble, second fumble where.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
You maybe thought that all right, this could this could
be the game here with about three minutes left in
the game.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
That burst that he has is.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
Like that is like that's the thing you It truly
is like that's the thing where you're like, all right,
nobody else really has that, Like if you can just
make it through that point or you can plus with
his size like that. It's it's such a weapon, but man,
how many times do you shoot yourself in the foot
with it?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
You know? That's and that's the that's the ultimate dilemma.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
And if you heck, if you've got DJ Moore, you
know that's the That's the thing with DJ Moore in
Fantasy is I would never want to mention him because
I would not want to miss, you know, that monster
game like he had against Washington and as you mentioned,
over one hundred yards of eleven receptions because it's always there.
And that goes back to justin fields again. But man,
it's just got to be a frustrating watch.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Oh it's difficult. Like the second fumble. The other thing
is he had cole Kmet coming over, who was getting
ready to put a block on. If he just slowed
up right, if he took one step back towards the
center of the field, Comet was going to seal that
block and he was gonna have more green to run,
but instead he gets into the contact.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I will say this with the fields, I was impressed
on how he threaded the needle on a screen pass
to Comet that went for negative four yards and he
was in the first half, he was being pressured and
had just gunned it.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
The end of the the Neil Hunter ended up wrapping
up Comet.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
But you know, on the other side of things, I
think that the Josh Dobbs honeymoon is now over.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Oh it's done.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
Yes, the postgame comments from Kevin O'Connell, we did a
little of it Monday night as we were finishing up
the show, Jason Smith and I and he had about
a minute and a half a word salad before the
we're going to evaluate everything. It's like, wow, you did
all the preamble about you know, what the month has
been and Jefferson being gone and Cousins being gone, So

(03:58):
you didn't need to do all that. If Josh did
your guy, did you just say no, no, we got
the bye week, We'll be ready to go.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Justin it'll be back, you know.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
And this, yeah, this was I thought, like I thought
we mentioned it on this pod, but again with Thanksgiving
and I know you're working with a bunch of different
people as well, and can't remember, you know what we
actually said where. But this was my worry about Dobbs
is once he got settled into the offense, the willy
nilliness of their win against the Falcons, you know that

(04:29):
he had in his first game when he arrived that week.
Some of that stuff now goes by the wayside because
you're not going to do that every single time, and
the more that you actually get to know the offense
and settle in and you know, they beat the Saints.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
But in our Sunday show that to do with George Reister,
we had.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Adam amein on who called the game, and you know,
ask him about the Dobbs story. He just kept on mentioning,
you know, first half absolutely, and he wouldn't say anything
about the second half, but he would talk a lot
about the first half. And that's where it kind of
started to you know, maybe all of a sudden, we're
starting to see some cracks in this. You know, we
saw firsthand against Denver, you know, on that Sunday night

(05:08):
game and then obviously now here it's just, yeah, it
can only really last so long, and I think that, yeah,
the clock is kind of expired up.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Yeah, it's interesting, right though, you go into the bye week.
Obviously the four interceptions did have the nice touchdown throw
to Hockinson, which is kind of funny, right, bears have
pressure all night, Suddenly he's got a nice clean pocket
for Hockinson to get open down the middle. Same thing
happened on that DJ More play that helped seal the
game down the middle rope from Justin field. Suddenly Flores

(05:40):
doesn't have guys flying at him from all over the place,
like it made no sense. But I just don't understand
how you bring a guy in and whatever you've seen
some good, some bad, some ugly, and certainly tonight a
lot of tip balls, a lot of problems. How does
he not get one? Start with Justin Jefferson bag in
the mix. Yeah, right where you got a full compliment

(06:01):
of receivers.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Well, this is also they were put in the spot
because of Nick Mullens not being available to them, and
so then that you know, Jaron holl ends up getting
that start against the Falcons and last a quarter and
then you have Dobbs there. It's you know, basically, you know,
out of necessity in that part to maybe write the

(06:25):
ship and maybe that's all that they wanted. Maybe that's
why they did the deal and thought, you know what
if you can just hold this over until Nick mullins
gets back.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Maybe that's the.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Opportunity point is this is you're still gonna play Hockinson
in your league, and you're obviously still gonna play Justin Jefferson.
You may have a decision to make with Jordan Madison.
I think you already have a decision with Alexander Madison,
and that decision.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Is not playing unless you absolutely have to.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
I don't know how much it changes with Minnesota if
Dobbs ends up not being the quarterback on the other
side of the buck.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Yeah, I don't think it changes at all. And Addison
was bottled up by the Bears defense nicely as the
number one. They did have one opportunity and Dobbs threw
it out of bounce. Right, you have a deep ball
Addison where the cornerback kind of went down, looked like
he was banged up a little bit. Should have been

(07:13):
called for a legal contact because he came up and
chucked Addison down the field. But either way, catches the ball,
but he's out of bounds and a huge opportunity like
he could have crawled into the end zone from there.
But yeah, I think Addison remains a third wide out
with upside. But yeah, certainly the others are are must blaze.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Hey, Mike up at Swolodom. You can find me at
dan Byer on Fox. Let's dive into week twelve. A
bunch of different takeaways that I have. I'm going to
start in a kind of funky spot and you can
take it wherever you want, Mike after this. The funky
spot that I'm that I'm going to is actually in Nashville, Okay.

(07:57):
And the reason I'm bringing it up because I don't
know what else we're going to get from Derrick Henry.
If there wasn't going to if there was going to
be a game where Henry had one hundred and fifty
yards and two touchdowns and you're like, there's King Henry.
I thought it would have been a Week twelve. I
thought it would have been that matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

(08:19):
And now with will level Will Levis, you know still me.
You know, obviously their quarterback there, if Tanny Hill was there,
maybe it's different, maybe their.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Offensive line's other pieces.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
But I wonder if we're just seeing a bit of
an end of an era with Derrick Henry eighteen Carrey
seventy six yards, two touchdowns, saving his day. I shouldn't
say saving his day, making his day. But I thought
this was going to be the granddaddy of them all
this season, Mike. I thought this was going to be
the spot. And I wonder if maybe Derrick Henry turns

(08:53):
thirty in January, if this is maybe the end of
the line that we're seeing.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
From King looking at a little beginning of the end.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
And yeah, it's still averaging four to a carry, first
multi touchdown game, broke a two game scoreless streak. It's
really the offense is well, it's broke, right, So in
terms of what he's able to do, you got two
one hundred yard games on the year. He's barely a

(09:20):
factor in the past game at all, which is which
is fine, that's not out of the ordinary. But twenty
one catches. You would have thought with a rookie quarterback
these last few weeks that there at least be a
little more of a dump off situation for him, but
that doesn't exist.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
And from a.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Carry count, only three games with more than twenty carries, like,
you're not even leaning into him. You go and you
have the game against the Chargers, or he averaged just
over three yards to carry going all the way back
to week two in a win in overtime, we can
mock the Chargers in a minute, and then one hundred
yard game on twenty two carries against the Falcons, and

(09:58):
then go back to Cincinnati the first of October twenty
two for one twenty two. That was you know, his
best out full workload average there, but bolstered by a
twenty nine yard run. So you know, between that and
a carry he had against Baltimore sixty three yards on
that one, sixty three of his ninety seven coming there. Yeah,

(10:21):
we're not seeing much in the way of a push.
I want to know how much of it is. There's
just no respect for what Will Levis can do.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Yeah, and I also think as well, if you're Tennessee,
it's more important for you down the stretch, and their
schedule is not Murderer's row. But there isn't a game
there that you're like they're going to win. You know,
they have the Colts, they have the Texans, they have
a matchup with the Seahawks. They could maybe win you know,
one of those games or maybe two of those games,

(10:49):
but you're not going in and being like, all right,
that's the one they're going to get like we kind
of thought this past week with the Panthers. But also,
if you're that organization, you already know what you got
with Derrick Henry, Like why are you going to load
up on him over this stretch. If you're gonna do anything,
you're gonna see what more Will Levis can do, and
that would also then be a detriment to what Derrick

(11:10):
Henry is. And maybe you're looking at you know, you know,
Tase Sharp as a possibility of someone who's getting a
little bit more action.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
It just to me, if it wasn't this past weekend
for Derrick Henry, I don't know when it's Tase Spears.
Excuse mears. Yeah, if you know, if it wasn't going
to be this past weekend, I don't know when it's
going to come for the Titans running back.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:31):
It's curious, right because you go down the schedule, you
still have two against Houston. Well, they're only giving up
ninety five rushing yards a game. You're looking at Jacksonville,
who's a top four team against the run. So you've
got a bunch of difficult spots. And go back to
the beginning of the season when you had Spears out
snapping in right, remember the first couple of weeks of

(11:53):
the season. You know, we're keeping an eye on that. Yeah,
it certainly can reverse itself. Here he's a be too
with a giant question mark, and we'll watch to see
if if we see that shift, you know, to try
to see do they have a cheap alternative at running
back that they can trust going into next year.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
You know, I will say this in my defense. Sharp
did play a couple of seasons with the Titans.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
He did, so the.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Sharp Yeah, that's it's in the It's in the encyclopedia.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
It was just on the wrong page.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
No, I mean he would have been a fantasy sleeper
back in the day.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
You know.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Well the other thing, too is here's a guy that
taunted you, and.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
Spears played play that tu lane So you know, that's
my favorite helmet in all of college football.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
So I feel a little bad with that one.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
But all right, he was on the metal stand with them.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Then I'll tell you what.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
I'm not sure if it's sitting right next to me
as we do this podcast, is my two lane green
Wave mini helmet. It is, it is, It is right there.
It is my favorite logo just that angry green wave.
It's magnificent.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
It's a beautiful thing.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Yeah, what was what stood out to you in Week
twelve matchups? Players wise? Or what do you got?

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Yeah? I think as we got what we expected from
the top of the top at the quarterback position.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
So that was good. A bit of a surprise.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
CJ Stroud Once again, I guess I shouldn't doubt him
anymore because it also was a thing that sent me
home in the guillotine. One of my guillotine leagues is
that I played Lamar Jackson in what seemed like an
easy opportunity against the Chargers. Guess what you look at?
Brandon Staley almost made it, made him e refluce. They're
kind of interchangeable at this point. His defense showed out

(13:32):
and played a good game. Still a loss, but so
be it. But Stroud coming up with another three touchdown performance,
two in the air, one on the ground. Kind of huge.
Matthew Stafford and the Rams. You know, both from a
fantasy and from a real football perspective, the eyebrow was raised.

(13:54):
Right if this team can stay healthy. And Kyron Williams,
we talked about him on the on the show. When
I joined you and Aaron Torres got him in in
the ninjas of a He's coming off the injury. If
they're activating him, he's gonna be good to go. And
look how good he was before he got hurt. And
damn if he didn't come back and set the house

(14:14):
on fire in his return to the field. So, I
mean that was kind of crazy, added Nakua ad Cooper Cup.
You got a team that is suddenly interesting in the
Hunt right as we do the graphics in the Hunt,
but opportunity there. Josh Jacobs finished as a top five
running back for the week against the great Kansas City defense,

(14:36):
bolstered by one massive run that really put it over
the top.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
But that was huge.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
On the other side, Patrick Mahomes owners were shaking their
fists when Pacheco was able to find the end zone
twice as a runner, So that'll kick you in the teeth.
That one stood out to me is kind of one
of those big plays. But you know, it was another
week where you know, from a betting star point, the
chalk is there, but a lot of unders, a lot

(15:03):
of games that were at times unwatchable. Yeah, right, Pittsburgh Cincinnati,
I mean Deontay Johnson. I think if they could, they'd
cut him.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
At this point, I may do that just on principle
for my own family.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Your fantasy. Yeah, like it's just painful to watch.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
And then obviously Mike Tomlin and his staff deserve some
booze for not being able to get the you know,
challenge flag up and understanding that they had a touchdown
that they should have challenged.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
But there's just Johnson.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Yeah, right, he was.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
His big play and maybe he was just pouting after that.
And I think the last to take away. I mean,
there's so many things from the week, but while it
ain't pretty, suddenly the Broncos are a bit of a
pain in the neck. And it'll be curious they're they're
going to live and die by how many yards Javonte

(15:58):
Williams can give them, except when he needs to come
out for breathers. And you see some somep Ryan action,
so someagp Ryan suddenly is a guy that you find
yourself looking at, going I don't want to do this
because he only had one target, right, that's always been
bit his thing. But suddenly the Broncos have a style

(16:19):
of football that works. And again Cleveland playing with dtr
and then PJ. Walker, I get it offensively challenged, and
Russell Wilson's not lighting the world on fire, but Williams
went healthy. You're getting that twenty touches. And he's a
guy that, for fantasy purposes, a lot of folks had shot.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Away from He's Mike carbon I'm Dan Byertz.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
I want your flex.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
Our executive producer, Patrick Sweeka is our executive producer this
week and next week because Ryan Berschinger is in the
Philippines with his fiance and enjoying a couple of weeks there,
so we enjoy Patrick hanging out with us. If you
want to hit us up, it might get swollendum and
you get me.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Dan Byer on Fox.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
I want to touch a little bit about what you
talked about some of the stuff left to be desired,
specifically that ten to seven barnburner between the Patriots and Giants.
Plus we've got Mike's waiver wire pickups four week thirteen,
and also the barn burner that was that almost wasn't
in Philadelphia.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
That's all coming up next here, and I want your flex.
Hit Mike up at swallow home. You can find me
at dan Byer on Fox it is, I want your flex.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
He is Mike Carmen. I am Dan Byer. You know,
I got a question on Twitter on excuse Me formerly
known as twitter x dot com, asking me Jalen Hurtz
or Lamar Jackson this past weekend, Mike, And for about
two and a half quarters because I picked Lamar Jackson,
I was looking really good. The Eagles Bills game actually

(17:49):
played out how I thought it was until just chaos
in the fourth quarter and then in overtime. But you know,
it's one of those things where, yeah, you know, I
felt felt bad. Heck, the way that you know, Ravens
come out and score right away against the Chargers or
get an early score. I'm like, well, maybe can some
of it can be you know, negated or canceled out.

(18:10):
But I guess that's just I don't know if that's
a Buffalo Bills thing. I don't know if it's a
Philadelphia Eagles thing. But I should have put it in
the safety net. But you were, you know, you're watching
a game where Jalen Hurts has fifty yards passing, you know,
I mean, Aj Brown was nothing, DeVante Smith wasn't doing
anything like it was dominated by the Bills and aside

(18:33):
from a few of their miscues that kept Philadelphia in
the game, like, there was just not much to write
home about. Hurts did have a touchdown run, you know,
in that span of time, but it wasn't a breakaway game.
But you know, lo and behold, you have the overtime,
you know, you have what transpires in the fourth quarter
and just ended up unraveling and at least for my prediction,
but you know, Jalen Hurts owners obviously reaping the benefits.

(18:55):
But I guess it's it's a lesson that I should
learn and really fan see owners need to learn is
even if you think the matchup may not go your way,
you still want to play your guy.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Well, yeah, but you know, when you're looking at the
choice between Lamar Jackson against the Chargers and what they've
been and looking at Eagles Bills, Bills have had their injuries,
but you know, when you're going through like Lamar Jackson,
the evaluation, no Joey Bosa, even with Andrews gone, was

(19:27):
they'll move the ball, They'll be able to make some plays. Now,
now some of the thought might have been, you know,
if you wanted to do the counter and hindsight being
twenty twenty is well, this was a game for the
Chargers to rise up, right, because this really was their season.
So maybe just maybe you get a huge effort and
look as a guy that started Lamar Jackson, as I

(19:49):
mentioned before, over CJ Stroud in a couple of leagues,
one of them was a guillotine league, that sends me home,
and that's the move, that's the lineup would change that
would have given me an extra I think it was
fifteen point differential that would have gotten me, you know,
into the next week. Sure, but you know you're trying

(20:10):
to evaluate and and that's I would say this. This
is also bad roster management as far as the drafting, right,
if you acquired and again if it was a guillotine league,
then it's a different animal, right because then you're just
trying to play defense a little bit, use your budget
and stockpile guys. But you still run yourself into a
situation like this where you're like, oh damn it, I

(20:33):
got two great options, which is the better of them?
And you kill yourself because you're gonna guess wrong occasionally,
like me picking up Stroud. I mean that was a
guy that had been bounced from like three teams already
and probably and I'd have to go back and look
at the league whether he was drafted initially at all anyway, right,
because you don't carry massive amounts of players and whatever

(20:56):
in each squad, so you know, to have that delay
if it was a standard league, means you really went
in on quarterbacks too early. And I can only imagine
what the rest of that lineup's looking like.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Two things I was banking on. Number one, lack of elements,
which was the case. You know, like there were elements
in Philadelphia, which makes Jake Elliott's fifty nine yard field
goal even.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
All the more amazing. Absolutely, because that was one of
those where you kept you knew they were playing with
the cameras to make sure you understood how hard it
was raining.

Speaker 4 (21:29):
Yeah, it was because we were odd during that top.
I said, this could be the greatest field goal we've
seen in the NFL, because I mean it was on
grass in that mess. Also, you're playing your first full
game without Mark Andrews, and I thought would see a
little bit more of Lamar's legs. Sure did have loving carries,

(21:49):
just didn't have the yardager get the score that you
were sure, but.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
Go back to the Eagles too, right, you had the
late scratch of Lane Johnson. Yeah, then all of a
sudden you're like, okay, look how you know, discombobulated things
looked for a chunk of time, and look, Sean McDermott,
send him some flowers for some really terrible defensive calls.
You also had the James Cook would be touchdown, should

(22:14):
have walked in early in that one, right, all these
different things, the horse collar that.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Wasn't called that ends up the bush, you.

Speaker 5 (22:23):
Know, right, miskick right afterwards. All of that adds up,
but you know it opened up in the second half.
It was a totally different game. And the only thing
I really regretted, though, Dan, is that I didn't mute
it between Jim Nance continually relying reminding me when the
Sunday Night game started and Tony Romo just trying to
make one line jokes or setting up scenarios that don't

(22:45):
make any sense. It's like, you realize they're down four,
they're not down three, So your math and what you're
trying to say doesn't really make any sense. Unless I
missed the paragraph somewhere in there and had a hiccup
in my stream. But either way, you know, you end
up getting this monster effort from Hurts, and you know,
the Eagles proved once again, from a fantasy perspective, these

(23:09):
guys will get theirs and from a regular perspective, they're
finding a way to win.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
And I was not privy to it, just because we
were on the air, so I didn't hear all of
the you know, the chatter.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Maybe it's best that it that it didn't happen.

Speaker 4 (23:25):
Then there's New England in and the Giants, the game
that wiped me out of the Survivor pool.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Not that you care. If you're listening to the podcast.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
You know, we all care. We're a big family.

Speaker 5 (23:36):
Dan.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
The funny thing about this, though, is there was fantasy relevancy,
sure because you had Romandre Stevenson. A lot of people
played him as as you should, no dexter lawrence for
the Giants, and guess what he showed up for it
in ninety eight yards in a score. Saquan was kept
in check, but Tommy de Vito Jalen Hyatt got over

(24:00):
one hundred yards. Not that you're playing Jalen Hyatt, but
the ten to seven beauty that this was did actually
give you a little bit of fantasy relevance.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
But Mike, as I sat there and watched this one,
I just I.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
Cannot believe the New England Patriots have fallen this far.
Like literally, I said to myself, there's no way Bill
Belichick loses to Tommy DeVito, Like it's just not going well.

Speaker 5 (24:30):
Historically he's dominated rookie quarterbacks. And then you can guess
that out even.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
More right, Yeah, and what do you know, Tommy DeVito
got the best by the way, DeVito looking leaps and.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
Bounds better than Mac Jones or Bailey's app yeaheah.

Speaker 5 (24:48):
No, I like the swagger this guy plays with. He
needs to learn to get rid of the ball a
little bit. Took six sacks and get a little anxious
on others.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
But that's where we're at.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
Jalen Hyatt becomes interesting because you know, we've been doing
the podcast and doing shows forever together here Dan, and
you know, when we get these second string, third string
guys off the street whatever, whoever they've done some practice
time with, maybe you get a little bit of a pop.
Maybe Jalen Hilot's that guy that down the stretch. Maybe
maybe you get a little bit of juice. So as

(25:19):
you get to the waiver wire, we'll do those in earnest.
Maybe he's a guy that you know you stash. Maybe
you've already done it, but maybe he's a guy you
stash thinking, all right, it's not that it's gonna get
great and you're not gonna have those monster weeks like
he did a couple of weeks ago. But you know,
DeVito's a guy they seem to trust in the offense.
Whatever's going on between Dable and Wink Martindale on the

(25:43):
defensive side, I don't care. He get him a game ball.
Everybody's happy.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
You know.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
It would have been interesting to see de Mario Douglas,
you know, stay healthy because he's he had nine targets
and he's been a nice fine for them, So certainly
someone to keep an eye on as well. Stevenson be
remissed ninety one in a score on the ground five catches.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Yeah, you only had nine yards.

Speaker 5 (26:05):
But that's five point nine points in the receiving game.
You gotta love that, Dan, those those those extra I
caught the ball and got drilled immediately, doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
I got a point.

Speaker 5 (26:17):
You know, That's one thing I hate about the PPR
leagues more than anything. It's like I can carry the
ball twenty two times and run for fifty. All right,
I get my five points. But if I catch the
ball five times on swing passes and fall down immediately,
I'm getting the same level of scoring.

Speaker 4 (26:34):
And reminder, Stevenson's long reception was seven yards, so that
means he had a group of four catches that only
went for two yards. So that's even better.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
You know.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
So you guys get losing yards on those those screen
passes or some of those dump offs that the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
I still can't believe they lost that game. I just it. Man.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Well, but here here's the thing right now, is it
become a super genius thing, because otherwise you would have
changed your kicker a while ago because he's been terrible. Yes,
tell me, you can't find one of these veterans off
the street for a little bit of money to bring in.
If this because you're playing by the margins, that maybe
that's the you know, it's the super genius of all right,

(27:19):
if we're going down, we're going down in all phases
and we're gonna suck.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
What a mess, what an absolute mess.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
Well, because I posed the theory to Smith, noted Jets
fan on our show on Monday Night's like, you know,
Caleb Williams might be slinging it for the Patriots next year.
And if he is, I'm getting a Patriots jersey and
I'm gonna sit next to your ass every week with
that on at least one day.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Oh oh, how great would that be? Oh? Man? If
Aaron Rodgers continues to.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
Make decisions, the Jets may have a early pick come
twenty twenty five.

Speaker 5 (27:54):
All the great GM work he did this year, let
me tell you that was brilliant. Just you know, one
last one, just going back to that Baltimore and Chargers game,
just the fact that the offense for the Chargers and look,
the Ravens have been lights out in a lot of
these games. Defensively, Queen and Rokwan Smith, I mean they're

(28:17):
they're all world. You're getting some push from from Clowney
up front, all of that stuff. You know, he no
longer has a shoulder. See what I did there? Callbacks,
But you're not able to run the ball. Like most weeks,
Austin Eckler looks like he's running in slow motion. You
might get one burst now and again. Keenan Allen fourteen

(28:38):
catches one hundred and six yards, but you're getting really
no contribution from other wide receivers. Yes, Gerald Everett had
the touchdown, did the Ray Lewis squirrel dance for for
forty three for him? But once again Johnston one for seven,
Geiton who was questionable coming in, but he played one

(28:58):
catch four yards. He had five targets, he had one
catch for four yards. So for Justin Herbert, you know,
as much as folks may love him right now, I
don't know on a week to week basis whether he
rates as a back end QB one like he's He's
a guy that's a position point for you at this point.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
That's it's crazy to think that we live in that world,
but I absolutely do, and I think that we're there
right now. And just to see what's around him and
what would need to go right, you know, I mean,
Stone's smart, you.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Know, Stone smart, nicely done.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
The two teas would have to a lot to really
step Yeah of love. You know. The great thing.

Speaker 4 (29:45):
I want to say this because he mentioned the Clowney clip,
and I know that there are people that listen to
this podcast that obviously listen to you and Jason weeknights
on Fox Sports Radio, but also listen back in the
day with with Jmore Sports, and I would have people like,
so that Steve Spurrier clip of not Clownie's got a
Bruce Shoulder.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
I heard that enough.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
He was doing a little interview with a bunch of
you know, reporters after practice, and it was something completely
different that we were looking for, but it was just
such a great line. So I, you know, cut it
up and the rest is audio history for you know,
for where we used it on on Fox Sports Radio
and with Jay Show. But the funny thing is, Mike
is you know, like you'd get drops that you'd play

(30:29):
in shows that were you know, original to your show
or maybe you know, only your show. But I would
if people send me clips to be like, hey, yeah,
this is where Macho Man originated from, and I'd be like.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Yeah, I cut it up, you know, like that's where
I found it.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
Like I think it just magically appeared, like the tooth
Fairy like that, just you know, it didn't just almostdden
appear under my pillow.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
It's like, yeah, I get.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
It, Like I appreciate it, and I appreciate you listening.
But it's not just we don't have some magic factory
going on here. There's just always kind of funny of yeah, yeah,
I know that's where I got it, because that's where
I cut it up.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Oh anyway, all right, No, I mean.

Speaker 5 (31:07):
Now with like Sports Illustrated, we could start the AI
process and just add that I'll come to get it.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Oh look what I did there? Hello America.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Oh he is Mike Harmon. I'm Dan Bayer. Harmon's Waiverwire
picks coming up next here, and I want your flags.
You know, one more point I want to make about
week twelve before we get into Mike's waiver Wire picks
for Week thirteen, because I do want to go back
to Thanksgiving Day. In game one of the week Packers

(31:36):
win against the Lions. Sure, and you know there's I
think you're gonna I think you're just gonna see in
the backfield in Detroit the Montgomery Gibbs split and whoever
just ends up getting the touchdown is going to get
the touchdown. But in Green Bay, in deeper leagues, some
of these guys are now starting to be.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
A little bit more playable than they were before.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
Yeah, there's something you know that that you know, Green
Bay seems to have some momentum.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Jaden Reid obviously, Christian Watson is won.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
People are playing and a Robo Dobbs got Romeo Dobbs
got some you know love at certain times. But yeah,
if you're playing Jayden Reid, if you're playing these guys,
they actually may come through for you. I don't know
what that's going to happen with their running game, have
no idea whatsoever. But at least Jordan Love throwing the
football on Thanksgiving looked pretty good and could see some
more Packer wide receivers emerging.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Yeah, he's certainly starting to put it together.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
And and look before the season I picked them to
win the division. They may not be able to chase
down in Detroit, but they can certainly come after Minnesota
and find themselves, you know, into the playoff mix. But
to your point, Dobbs is at fifty seven percent owned
and Yahoo, Watson at sixty two percent, Jaden Reid at
just forty eight percent, and Jordan loved the who's pulling

(32:53):
the trigger on all of it only owned in fifty
two percent of leagues. Wow, So opportunity does knock there,
certainly if you want to go down the Packer rabbit
hole from the running game. Yeah, we're not sure how
injured Aaron Jones is when it will be back. We
certainly haven't seen the same explosiveness out of him or

(33:14):
AJ Dillon. But if they're running unopposed, then yes, you're
still getting that twelve to fifteen touches. Yeah right, if
they are the predominant back, then you get to the
point where it's like they're still flexworthy because you know
the old rule of touches over targets.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
For me, We're going to see him on Sunday night
against the Chiefs, which should be interesting. Then after that
you got Giants, Buccaneers and Panthers before well, it could
be two really intriguing matchups to wrap up the season
in the NFC North at Minnesota and then against your
Bears in the final week of the season, where you'll
be chanting go, Pack Go. But for other reasons that

(33:53):
sounds about right for the first time in your life.
All right, let's get to the waiver wire pickups. Guys
that Mike wants you to targets of week thirteen that.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
If they can still win the division, then I'll really
be there because you know, I like to be right
note for week thirteen though, Dan, as we like to do,
remember Buffalo, Chicago, Las Vegas, Minnesota, the New York Football
Giants and Baltimore Ravens all off a sixteam by in
week thirteen.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
That's that's SI And this buys in week fourteen?

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Yeah you know?

Speaker 1 (34:28):
So yeah yeah, and then not even not even done.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Yet, not even And we've had two weeks.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
And I get it, the holiday, the way you spread
out games, you're not gonna grab bye weeks there, but
certainly we've had one or two other weeks like you
couldn't have done it there, but so be it. As
we go through, we mentioned all those packer receivers and
Jordan Love, so we go there another quarterback. You know,
we've pumped up the Russell Wilson should be rostered. I

(34:54):
think at this point is he startable every week?

Speaker 2 (34:57):
No?

Speaker 5 (34:58):
But rosteruble. The guy that intrigues me that's still available
in more than fifty percent of leagues I mentioned him before.
Is Matthew Stafford only owned in forty eight percent of leagues?

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Wow? I picked him up last week.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Opportunity knocks as a backup.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
Did not anticipate that kind of explosion did not that.
I'm expecting world beating efforts from the Arizona Cardinals, and
historically McVeigh and company have had their way with them.
But man, that was a site to behold, no question
about it. Running back position, I think a couple of
guys we were talking about a little bit earlier. When
you look at Keaton Mitchell, yeah he's not playing this week,

(35:38):
but again, you start playing defense for the stretch, run
a guy who's got a chunk of that workload in Baltimore.
You look at the opportunity for spears in Tennessee again,
roster development and having those options, especially if you're fighting
for a playoff berth or just wanting to screw things

(35:59):
over by playing spoiler. You can play defense, uh, with
some of these pickups. Samajip Ryan would like to see
him more in the passing game, but they're leaning on
him and and Chavante Williams to help carry the load
there in Denver.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
As we roll through.

Speaker 5 (36:17):
So those are a couple options as we go for
the wide receiver position, this is where it starts to
go a little bit back and forth. I saw some
pictures of dors all over my screens. I think that's more. Oh, yeah,
it's it. I saw doors on. Uh yeah, I got
Tim Conway, Junior's old man back in the day. He's

(36:40):
over at KFI right now, six forty by the way.

Speaker 4 (36:42):
But Patrick Patrick sweeka, yes, our executive producer. Do you
know what dorfon golf is?

Speaker 2 (36:48):
No?

Speaker 1 (36:49):
I do not. What is it?

Speaker 4 (36:50):
Unfortunately dorfon basketball, Dowarf on golf.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Just YouTube.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
It's you may not laugh, but a lot of people
laughed back in the day. It was an old comedy.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Was it all?

Speaker 5 (37:00):
Bit from the Carol Burnett Show, and you know the
Apple Dumpling game Gang and all those things. He and
Harvey Korman, Carol Burnett and Vicky Lawrence and all those
folks getting it done. Yeah, now his kids, We've been
a radio host forever here in Los Angeles. Likes to
bet the horses saw him out at Santa Anita had

(37:21):
to say, but I continue with the wide receivers. Rishie
Rice still available in one third of leagues, Jacoby Myers,
it's only twenty percent, but maybe you're in that lucky
twenty percent that you can go find him. We already
talked about the Packers receivers, the curiosity that is Brandon

(37:41):
Cooks down the stretch in that Dallas offense that's been
humming along so well these last few weeks. So an
opportunity there. Noah Brown missed this game this past week
against the Jaguars. He's available in fifty five percent of leagues.
He was having a nice little rise for the injury,
so ended up back on the waiver wire because of

(38:04):
the being declared out.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
But might be there for you in your leagues.

Speaker 5 (38:08):
And I don't know how I feel about the Detroit
Lions as a whole. I was calling him, you know,
before the game on Thursday. I was raising my hand, going,
I don't really like the squad. I think they might
have already had their best moments, even though I liked
the run game. Jared Goff getting a little careless with
the football. But Jamison Williams is only owned in twenty

(38:28):
two percent of leagues.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Sure take a shot and he.

Speaker 5 (38:32):
Looks like a guy again. It becomes the iroster a guy,
So you don't have him kind of situation as we
flow through and then we got to get to the
tight end position real fast here, just because we're trying
to find the diamonds in the rough. So two guys.
One's captain, obvious, I was surprised. I guess the initial

(38:53):
reports were so bad when he went to IR everybody
bailed on the roster spot. And that's Pat Freyermouth back
and has a big game against Cincinnati, which he's available
in half of leagues. Okay, right, and Deontay Johnson might
be sitting there watching and cheering for them on the sideline.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Some more targets for Friarman at the other guy.

Speaker 5 (39:14):
I'll go back to the Rams again with Matthew Stafford
under center and so much tension paid. Kien Williams is
going to get his love. Obviously, you got into Coop
and Cup. I'm not looking for massive target counts. But
Tyler Higbee scored early in that one. You might see
more of him.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
Scored again two touchdowns in that game against Arizona. I
am aware because I dropped him a few weeks back
because of the scenario. And don't worry, I've been relying
on Evan Ingram's thirty eight yards yay.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
I had the average problem.

Speaker 5 (39:45):
I had Logan Thomas going this week thinking, oh it'll
be a score fest.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Nah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:52):
Screw you, Harmon, He'll do nothing and you'll like it.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
Oh, there you are your waiver wire pickups and that's
gonna do it our episode. So Mike and I'll be
back with a couple of episodes later this week as well.
Patrick will be hanging out hit Mike up at Swollendob
and you can find me at dan Byer on Fox.
