Speaker 1 (00:00):
Icey's Daily Game. It's a production of iHeartRadio. What's Up
is is ice Team. You're listening to the Daily Game,
the compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years
that I've found inspiring and helped me through the game
of life. Today, I'm dropping some knowledge from Warren Buffett,

(00:21):
one of the most successful investors and richest people in
the world. So you know he's got some game on
how to get the Benjamins. Warren said, I'll tell you
the secret to getting rich on Wall Street. You try
to be greedy when others are fearful, and you try
to be fearful when others are greedy. What he's basically

(00:42):
saying is go against the grain. Don't follow the trends.
You know, if you see everybody buying, that might drive
the price up. That might be the time for you
to sell. Right then, while everyone's going crazy because the
prices have gone up. If you see everybody selling, that
might be the bet that it's time for you to
buy because everything is cheap. Go against the grain. Now,

(01:05):
that's easy for Warren Buffett to say because he has
a huge war chest, the money that he can leverage
in these moments. Most people don't have it. But I
believe what he's saying is go against the grain is
the way to success. I believe that, even in my career,
going against the grain has been one of the keys

(01:27):
to my success. I always believe, even in music, there
was an opposite to every song. So I might give
away some of my game. But if Adele is singing, baby,
please don't leave me, Please don't leave me, there's another
great hit there called It's better since You're Gone. You see,

(01:48):
so every emotion there's an opposite to it, and most
emotions have a fifty to fifty cut. You know, there's
just as many people doing one as the other. So
whenever you hear a hit record, think of the opposite
record and make it. You might get a hit or safe.
We're in fashion. If you're dealing with fashion and everybody's

(02:09):
wearing let's say, right now, everyone's wearing yoga pants and
all the clothes are absolutely skin tight, you make baggy clothes.
You may clothes of the exact opposite of what's the trend.
Trust me, there might be a change in the dynamic,
might take a year, but then all of a sudden

(02:31):
you'll be the ahead of the trend. So we talk
about this a lot in Daily Game is finding your
own path and going against the grain. It definitely is
a way to win. This has been another ice cold
fact from me, ice Tea. Listening again tomorrow when I
drop some wisdom on your ass Till then, stay safe,

(02:53):
stay smart, and stay knowing that following your own path
will reward you. I sees Daily Game. It's a production
of iHeartRadio, Final Level Entertainment and Oddity, an Asylum entertainment company.
