Today we answer a few ever-thoughtful questions and inquiries from our listeners. First, an update on Julie’s graveyard purchase, where we learn a bit more about the history of her homes former inhabitants and speak briefly with their Spirits (via Brendas gift of mediumship) to clarify their wishes from the Other Side.

Next we discuss why someone may be attracted to specific crystals over others, and how your body’s response to energy is a clue to discovering where you need to spiritually focus.

And we learn how both these questions tie together by honoring and connecting with your Spirit Guides, family, and ancestry. So tune in, keep sending your questions, and sharing your stories…

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Insider's Guide to the Other Side, a production
of iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Hi, y'all, I'm Julie. Hi there, I'm Brenda. Welcome to
Insider's Guide to the Other Side.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Now, y'all need to know that we are obsessed with
everything on the other side.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Yes, we are, because once you learn to navigate the energetic,
or to some the invisible world, life is going to
be more fun and much more serene.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Uh heck, yes it can, because let's be honest, br in,
earth school is hard.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
In fact, you taught me that let's crush earth school together.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Well, hello, my WITCHI pooh. Do I have some insiders
insights for you?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Look for a good rhyme? Nice bringing my elf? What
do you got?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Well, we have several interesting things on the docket, and
one is I have been asked by so many of
you to keep giving updates on the fact that you know,
I bought a cemetery, so I do have some insight.
I do have some updates for everybody. So how about

(01:17):
we just start with that and then we'll move on
to the other questions that we've been getting in.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
How about that? Awesome? Sounds great. I can't wait to hear.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Perfect, Yeah, because Brenda doesn't know this, y'all. You know,
those are some of our best episodes on a Brenda anything.
And I get her reactions because sometimes my favorite thing
that happens. So I ended up having lunch. I think
I'd mentioned this on a show that I was I
was going to have lunch with. I call him a

(01:46):
young man. He's in his thirties. I mean, when did
I become this person I had?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
It is a great privilege.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
It's a great privilege, right, this young man in his thirties. Anyway,
his name is Weston Western Archiletta, and he is this lovely,
oh my gosh, this lovely, lovely man. We had lunch
just a few days ago, which so it's all very fresh.
And he has this folder that is stuffed with articles

(02:18):
that he has printed off for me about the family.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Oh my, oh my, how thoughtful, how generous, oh so thoughtful.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
And I just have to say before I start giving
you guys kind of the details of all of this
is I had said to Weston. I was like thanking
him profusely for, you know, taking time to just talk
to me. It was so moved that he would do
it kind of thing and he goes, you have to

(02:50):
be kidding me.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
I go, what do you mean?

Speaker 1 (02:51):
He goes, I feel ten times that because you actually care.
He's like, you care, I'll do whatever you want because
you care.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I'm like, when remember, like we talked about this. I'm
sorry I'm interrupting you, but how important it is to
be able to tell stories of our loved ones, right,
It's so important. It's important to us, it's important to
our loved ones. It's like this beautiful gift. And to
have someone who actually cares and listens makes it extraordinary.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
And I very much believe that locations hold energy, right, Like.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
How do they not?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
And one thing I had said to him, funny enough,
is that you know, because nobody still knows when our
house was built. Just FYI there. People believe it's late
seventeen hundreds, maybe early eighteen hundreds, like, so we've got, like,
you know, at least a couple hundred years here on
this place. So there's a lot of history. It's gonna

(03:50):
be history. I'm never gonna know. But what I had
said to Weston, I said, you know, to honor your family,
I would love to be able, And I said, and
I'll cover the cost is to build a plaque and
put a plaque on the house that has the people
that had lived there and those that have because listen,
there are a lot of people that you know jumped
there as well, and to have those listed as well.

(04:12):
And he was like what I said, Oh my gosh,
of course. And I said, we'll also like have a
family like barbecue at the house, Like I don't expect
it every month, but we'll certainly, you know, because I
want to hear stories. I want to meet everybody.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I want to know.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Because I feel like we're now connected.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
We totally are. And is a privilege to have the
family still in the area, right, I mean, that's all right.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, So here's some of the crazy things that happened
in this family. Cool and crazy and family.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Baby, it's family, that's right, the whole spectrum, right, cool, crazy,
and devastating.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Right. So on the devastating side is we had suicides.
We had there was a an infant that had passed on.
We had an alcoholic uncle. You know, we had these things.
And I'm and I'm and he's like, I don't want
to like freak you out. I'm like, oh, honey, it's you.

(05:13):
You have no idea how hard it is to bring
me out. I call myself the ghost photographer. So it's
real hard.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah, yeah, it's perfect, it's perfect. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
There really cool stuff that happened there is uh uh
chief of police was one of his ancestors that lived
in the house.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
So that's kind of cool. That's really cool, right, I like,
I haven't I haven't been to your place. I mean,
I've been to Santa Fe before, but I imagine it
feels like it's in the center of town. Like it's
like it feels like it's part of it. And so
like I like that that's where that's where the chief
of police live. That makes right, it's cool in that

(06:02):
I had that groovy. I loved that too.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
And there was an uncle that also was on the
police force. And it's just a cool thing and and right,
and so if you if if those who are keeping
score of all names here, I had mentioned early on
that the headstones that I found were Mellowtone or Tega
and Carlata or Tega and Carlotta was once an archiletta

(06:28):
to serve as I'm learning a lot, right, he's from
the archiletta side, Okay, got it? Yeah, And I'm trying
to work on the accent because I'm still way shay
Whitey when.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I you're still from Oklahoma, what are you gonna do?

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I know, I'm trying though out of respect, I'm trying,
like I It is cute right when you hear the
y'all go. So what's a really interesting is if anybody

(07:05):
remembers and kept score to meloton and on his headstone
he was born in eighteen seventy four and then he
jumped I think it was nineteen forty nine.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
And but it's cool about him. That's a long time, right.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
He was here right, well, no for that, Yeah, he
was here. He was here a while for sure.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
And I do have a question for him in a minute,
so I will be asking you to use yours like
superpowers on us because I do have a question. But
his father, his name is also on the historic records
that I have, and his name was Albino Albi n
O Albino. What's super cool about that guy is he
was in charge of the asequias here, which are the waterways.

(07:51):
So they had these waterways that they're called a sequias,
and there's actually a street here called a Seque Madre
and they would they would control the water that would
go to the various farmlands. And that's a big job.
Is if you're in charge of the water systems and
the eighteen hundreds here.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
It's like you're in charge of you're in charge of currency. Right,
it's the same as being in charge of currency, right,
because that that was life back then? Water was life, right?
Does that make sense? Still is? But yes, yeh yeah,
a good point, a good thousand percent makes sense, all right.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
And do we know if there was so like there
was Yeah, was there.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
A clergy in that family? Oh? I don't know, but
that's a question I'll have for him. Yeah, I would
ask that. I will ask him that.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Okay, I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah. So so anyway, Albino
had this really cool job. The bad part about it
is that white people start showing up and trying to
take it away from him. Like there's a lot of
that that's in the story of the family, which is
really like devastating. You know, I don't know what to

(08:59):
say about that. I'm just going to stop. It's just devastating.
And that happened in a number of cases in the
family the Ortegas, which is Albino Ortega, and then also Milton,
who was his son. They were builders as well, and
so the belief is they're the ones who actually started
building the first structures over there and apparently built a

(09:22):
decent part of Santa Fe.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
So that's cool.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Too, that's really cool, right and then great, yeah, right,
And then I learned about the street name, he said.
He goes, I'm sure you've already figured out that your
street hasn't always been called Old Santa Fe Trail. I'm like, no,
I have no earthly idea what you're talking about, and
he goes, well, for a while, it was called School
Street because there's a boys school down the street from us,

(09:45):
and prior to that, it was called Bridge Street because
there were only two bridges to get over the Santa
Fe River.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Oh fun, cool, Right.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Okay, now here's my question for you. You, my magical wichiepoo.
He has a cousin, by the way, there's shiploads of him.
But I mean there's so I don't even know this
cousin's name, but there's shiploads all over town, and some
they don't think he even knows that I've met. Weirdly enough, uh,

(10:17):
named Rodney anyway. So his cousin, that is a a
contractor in town, is really interested in the headstones because,
as the story goes with these two headstones is that
they were actually made in Mexico and they didn't they
weren't the proper size to fit into the actual cemetery.

(10:39):
So they kept them in the basement of our house
for a really long time. And I think what happened
is somebody moved them to make them like a retaining.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Wall for a fence.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
By the way, rude, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Can I make this stuff up? Yeah? Right, resources were
snows you.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Full on camp make this shit up. That's why it's
such a great story. I I I with my imagination,
he could not in my lifetime make this up.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah it's good. I mean it's so good. It's so good.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
So the cousin is actually interested in the headstones. And
I remember you saying, mother tone was not super excited
about something.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Like that, about having the headstones moved.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Yes, I thought that's what he said through you to you.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Let's ask all right, So okay, you do you be talking,
I'll be asking.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
So you talk to them, I'll say, and you talk
to the dead people. Great, that's a good plan.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
He stands. He does not want to be moved. He
does not want his headstone moved. Really, yeah, okay, all right, Now,
that doesn't mean that they can't come take a charcoal and,
you know, sketch of it, or that they can't have
a duplicate moved of it or made of it. But

(12:06):
he would like to remain. He would like the headstone
to remain where it is. That is his request. Let's
just check with Carlotta.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
I'm curious. Is it because it was made in Mexico?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
No, it's because how he feels about the property.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Okay, So here's money. So I'm going to negotiate with
a ghost right now. Would it be okay if I
have him on the plaque that honors everybody?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yeah, that's that's good. Yeah, he's good with that.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
And then he'll then he'll let the he'll let the
cousin take the headstone. Then no, he's still a no.
All right, well I gotta have I gotta call Weston
again again.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
What I would recommend is that you get a duplicate
of the headstone made, because that's actually possible. They could
even make them mold of it. It seems like, which
would be kind of cumbersome with that. He must have
loved this house. He loved his life here, right, He
loved his life here, right. I think it was most
of it was at that house, I think. Yeah, I

(13:02):
think that's right. And I don't think it was necessarily
an easy life, but it was a rich, a rich life.
Like he had a rich family life. Yeah, live live,
rich community life. He felt like he contributed. And I
just want to check with Carlotta. What's interesting.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Oh, Carlotta, she said she was fine, She didn't really care.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
That's that stands too. Just want I just want to
check in, see because sometimes if you know the cousin,
no thank you.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
Yeah, yeah, I want to honor you know, his wishes.
So it's also interesting about that couple. So Melowton and
Carlata were married, they had they didn't have any children,
but they actually raised nephews. And one of those nephews
is the grandfather of Weston.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Oh my gosh, I love that. That's so special.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Right, So a lot of the the descendants that are
here are actually from the two there's two of them.
Actually I don't remember their names I have in the packet,
but there were two young men that they actually raised
that really populated Santa Fe, which is very a beautiful thing.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Yeah right, very sweet, very prolific. Yeah yeah, So I
just you know, I just checked them again, making sure
that they understood, you know, this was you know, the
where the request was coming from. And he's still like, nope,
I'm good where my husband's good. Where it is, he's
proud of it.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Okay, Well, okay, I'll give him a good spot. Yeah,
I'll give him a good spot.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
And interestingly, is it's the because it's the Archiletta side
of the family, which is her side of the family,
that is requesting it. And maybe they'll let me keep
him and they can take Carlata. If that's I'll call Weston.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Okay, yeah, okay, wow.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
So see these are the things. This is the days
of my life. This is what I do now apparently
very fun.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
All right, all right, well we'll take a break and
we'll be right back and welcome back. So next we
have a question from our insiders inside. Turn it to
my health all you.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Oh me, and I'm afraid I'm going to kind of
stumble through this. So we have a question, and really
fabulous question, I think so in fact, no questions bad.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
So what am I saying?

Speaker 1 (15:33):
But here it is, why might it be that I
can only feel really high vibe crystals like MOLDI vite
and sometimes amethyst?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Question mark?

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Is it because I'm naturally low vibe or high vibe
myself or something else?

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Good?

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Try like what a low vibe person only right would
like would only a low vibe person be able to
feel a high vibe crystal? And then she goes on
and says how she's comfortable with who she is, which
I'm not going to read all that part of it,
but that's the essence of it, which that's a very
important part of it. It's like, whatever the answer is,

(16:14):
it doesn't matter. She's happy with who she is. So
do you want to like hit that one out of
the park here?

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Well, I want to do my best. So it's it's
only interesting to me because you know, I had mentioned
that I was teaching spare guy class in Esslin and
one of the things we talked about is the you know,
we have hierarchy in different groups that we operate in.
You know, someone who's in charge or someone who we

(16:42):
kind of do fall to, and things like that, and
I'm trying to explain to them that in the spare world,
like we don't our guides aren't like that, Like there's
not guess there's ones that have specific skills in specific lanes.
And if you hear Lulu whining in the background, is

(17:03):
because we're getting closer to her feeding time, so she's
getting very verbal.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Oh my gosh, me too, by the way, if you
can hear me all verbal feeding time too.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Nice. So I was explained to them, how like, just
like you have the right tool for the right job,
Like you don't use a pencil for everything, you don't
use a hammer for everything, right, it's the right tool
for the right job. It's the frequency for the right situation.
So like your guides aren't hierarchically staffed, they are frequently

(17:36):
frequency staffed, like so their frequency matches what they the
job they do, how they support you. And that's really
important to understand. Now. Having said that, so this specific
listener is able to feel amethyst. And what was the
other one? Wasn't Phoenix? What was it?

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Mouldivite?

Speaker 2 (17:58):
The same? Both of those throw me up my body.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
That's why you can't even say it because I.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Can't go don't maybe touch that stone. I get just
exactly And this is what I'd say, like when you're
looking to do if you really want to have a
high frequency connection, those stones can do it. And sometimes
in order to connect with spirit, what we have to
do is be really grounded. That's the most helpful thing

(18:27):
is for us to be completely like you know, do
a yoga practice, get outside, walk with your bare feet
and the earth like that is the greatest way and
the easiest way to connect with the spirit world. I
have to be fully human to see the differential or
the delta between embodiment and connecting in with the spirit world.
So this is you get to experience and experiment and

(18:51):
explore which stones are right for which tool you want
to do, right, Like whatever it is, what are you
what's the work you're looking to do? If I want
I have like a super out of my mind meditation,
you know, it could be whatever. Like selenite can do that,
right because it's a super high vibe. A clear quartz
crystal that is exquisitely cut can do that, Like a

(19:15):
prayer can do that. An essential oil can do that,
like do awaken do believe? Like these are all you know,
frequency hookups to connect in with the unseen world, and
so these are all possible. These are all fabulous tools.
And you know the other thing is try the others.
So try like doing a really beautiful, full on yoga

(19:36):
practice before meditation, because that can calm down all your
erskyll noise in your system and in your mind and
in your body, and you can sit so peacefully because
you've exhausted your body. So that might be the hookup
for you. Explore and don't have judgment about high frequency
low frequency. What's the best on ramp for me? And
on different days it's different tools, So let that be

(19:58):
what it is, trust your inst thinks, and explore with it.
That's what I would say.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
It's not a contest.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
You know that nobody's keeping score.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
There's not a scorecard about how high vibe you think
you want to go but can't or believe you can't.
There's not a scorecard on you know, which stones resonate
with your energy at that time the best. There's no scorecard.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
It's not Yeah, you have to be present in every
every every time at bat as they say, oh look
at you in your sports press. Oh well, I just
kind of mixed metaphors there just for the giggle. Yeah,
I know, I like it.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
I like it, But I also I really love the
question because it was a very vulnerable question, you know.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
And so authentic, so authentic, and.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
We're guys, y'all, Yeah, give us your questions, folks.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
We're happy to address all of these.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
I mean, this is these are important things, and we
know people are trying to make their way through Earth
School just like we are, and we have questions as
we move along.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Right right. The other thing, you know, just having led
this week of meditation, connecting with spirit guides and working
with Christy Christiansen as my assistant and knowing you know,
I've raved about her book, but having her lead these
practices to work through the chakra system is also another

(21:28):
way just to cleanse and clear. And you know, she
has an online program that's you know, video, so you
can work with her through these this practice. It's amazing.
So again, just other embodiment tools that you can use
to find a key that fits to unlock whatever you've
got going on.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Yeah, like, because there are so many different ways to
ground and know we've talked about many of them. We
haven't talked about a lot of the really extensive ones,
because I think they're too hard in this type of environment.
But there are some that are actually quite extensive that
work the best for me, and I'm to have a feeling.
Christine has some of these that she shares.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Christine Christy, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
That she shared, Yeah, Christy, that she shares in this
And encourage y'all just to kind of like, if it
kind of scares you, jump off the deep end and
try it anyway, because it might actually be something that
really works for.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
You, you know.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
And actually the most the one that takes the most
time and that is kind of the hardest for me,
I'll say, is the one that works the best. By
the way, that noise was rebel jumping on something. These dogs,
I mean, I think they're all hungry.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
I'm getting a little hungry. It's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Yeah, literally, it's right now. Is that it's actually the
witchy hour?

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yes, indeed, all right?

Speaker 1 (22:54):
And so really encourage you guys though, to reach out
to us because we can talk about these things.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Yeah, if you have more questions or share your experiences
of what works for you, we'd love to hear that too.
I think that's nice to hear it. And then I think, yes, please, yeah, right.
And the one other thing I wanted to say, because
I've gotten a lot of questions knowing that, you know,
people know that I just taught spirit guides at Esslin.
They're like, what are you teaching it again? What are

(23:21):
you teaching it again? And again? All we did all
week was connected with our guides. It was so much fun.
But to let people know that I am doing an
online version of working with your Spirit Guides in September,
so I'm not doing it at ESLIN again this year,
and I don't have anything scheduled in twenty twenty four

(23:43):
simply because that schedule for USLIN isn't set yet. But
just let them know that their next chance this year
will be in September online.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
I love that so much because it's like, you know,
and i know I've talked about this, but I'm going
to say it again, and I know you've talked about
it this way too. It's like our guides have been
working with us our whole life. We may not have
known it, you know, but it's like meeting an old friend, right.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
And just like meeting with our doggies right and being reunited.
And it's so great because we need to.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Yeah, I got one going crazy right now.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
I heard that. I heard that, and just it's so
great to teach the class because you you know, you
talk about the guide, you talk about how they work
with you, and then to give people that experience and
they're like, oh my god, I know this guide, I
know how they've worked with me. I know the stories,
and I know the experiences and the playfulness or the
healing or the comfort that they're like, it's a reunion

(24:39):
and that's the best part. That's the best part to
have people come up, you know, at the like the
second day of class and say, oh my gosh, I've
gotten so much more out of this class than I
ever thought possible, you know, and we're just getting started.
It's it's amazing, so you know, and it's all the
