Have you felt The Shift?

Saturn is the planet of structure, discipline, and tradition; Pisces is the astrological sign associated with intuition, collective flow, and our psychic center. On March 7th, these two energies merged... so, what does this mean for you and for our planet?

The yin/yang energy of this Saturn/Pisces dance will wash away limiting structures and inspire individuals and the collective to designate what's truly important and what needs to go. Leveraging Saturn's need for structure while it resides among the elevated and emotional waves of Pisces is what this journey is all about. As a result, there will be a gentleness to your contemplations as you re-think big-picture structures and social status'—questioning everything from limitations to boundaries, the reality of time, and what it means to be one with the universe. No big deal, right?

It'll be a time of innovation and reinvention, a time when opposing energies find their compatibility. You'll feel into it, and you'll discern how it applies to you.

Because Earth School is hard, and every couple of years the Other Side likes to give that Magic 8-ball in the sky a good shake or two.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Insider's Guide to the Other Side, a production
of iHeartRadio. Hi, y'all, I'm Julie. Hi there, I'm Brenda.
Welcome to Insider's Guide to the Other Side. Now, y'all
need to know that we are obsessed with everything on
the other side. Yes, we are, because once you learn

(00:22):
to navigate the energetic, or to some the invisible world,
life is going to be more fun and much more serene. Heck,
yes it can, because let's be honest, brand earth school
is hard. In fact, you taught me that let's crush
Earth School together. Well, hello, my astrology witchie. Pooh oh,

(00:50):
my word, is Lulu around because she's going to be
listening to a lot of really important things today. See,
Lulu is not allowed. She opted out of this session.
She did, We'll stick you here, So okay, okay, think
it's a good audience. Well, so we wanted to it's

(01:13):
this is I love this. I just have to tell
everybody I am um on the verge of useless in
this episode, which is a really fun thing for me. Um.
So it's but it's it's it's a idea. Well maybe,
and because the thing is I have felt a shift

(01:34):
Um and I can't be the only one. In fact,
I have felt a shift and actually went with it
not knowing what the hell I was doing, like why
I was doing it. So we'll get into that later.
But I just think it's it's a really important thing
to talk about, um because these again, you know, we
talked so much about energy, and there are energies um

(01:55):
that are are are like moving targets all the time
right where there's energy of mercury in retrograde, whether it's
energies of the Moon, whether it's energies of the Sun,
where there's energies of other planets that are you know,
getting into whatever your fancy words are, squared, cubed whatever.

(02:16):
And I told Joe's useless Saturn squared means bad and
cubed means so. So you know what I always do
in life is when I question something I don't understand,
I always ask my witchyboo. And so that's what we're
going to talk about today, or you're really going to

(02:37):
talk about today. I should just mute, please, but I'm
not going to. But I should for the record, Oh
who can bring humor to astrology? But you're elk absolutely well,
anything I like, it's funny because you're like, wow, when
I don't know what I just ask you, I'm like, well,

(02:58):
I'm not so sure that's right. When you don't know
what to do, you usually just make it up and
then you check something else. I skipped a step, and
then it's very funny. So m So, in March seventh,
Saturn moved into Pisces, which is a big deal because
Saturn only changes signs every two and a half to

(03:22):
three years, right depending on the retrograde. So that's how
this conversation came up, like somehow, and even though we're
past March seventh, so some people would be like, well,
why are we talking about that that already happened. Well,
it's gonna be here for two and a half to
three years. Two and a half years, it's really until
February thirteenth, twenty twenty six, is when when Saturn will

(03:45):
move from Pisces into Aries. So when you think about
your Valentine's Day plans of twenty twenty six, you'll be like, oh, yeah,
that's right, and the day before Saturn's going to move
from Pisces into Aries, we gotta make sure we celebrate
that too. I will remind you of that. And I
have to say, it's really long. Like if Saturn were
a woman, that's a really long mental cycle. I mean,

(04:08):
you gotta get like this sea and crampy and all
that kind of stuff. Saturn. Is it all male? I'm
telling you it is all male, really long male mental
cycle is start enough, fair enough so and because of
Saturn's get very long orbit, it won't be back in

(04:30):
Pisces until twenty fifty so like, so we really want
to take advantage of this time. That's why we're talking
about it, even though it's not the day it moved,
but we want to take advantage in leverage this energy,
this energy of Saturn in this water sign of Pisces,

(04:51):
the most elevated water sign of all of them. Right,
So that's what we're going to talk about today. When
we think about Saturn, we think about structure. We think
is about traditions. This has always worked, so we're going
to continue working it. Right. There's also an aspect of
Saturn that's about division and separation and boundaries and setting limits.

(05:15):
And when you hear those words, many people will think, oh,
that's so negative, what a drag, Right, But we also
know if we don't have set limits. If we don't
have boundaries, we are screwed. Yeah, I gotta be honest.
I'm one who has never been the biggest fan of
like process procedures all that stuff, I mean excessive, but

(05:36):
always know that you need them, like we need to
have those boundaries. We need and we also like if
you think about it too, I think to me, it
also plays into routines, you know, because we need those
as well, and because they also I think when we

(05:56):
have them in their healthy and their proper they actually
can ring calmness to us. If you have a baby
or a puppy or any pet, they they naturally get
set in their routines and they will tell you what
time it is. Listen, if I don't walk Suki, which
is very rare, like I have to be sick to

(06:17):
not walk her. Um, she doesn't. She's off the whole day.
She doesn't what to do. She's like it's her she
she wags her tails and helicopter motion. When we're ready
to go, she talks to me like come on, mother
Susanne will talk back and get her to hell. But
that's we're not that's a different routine. It's a different routine.

(06:37):
But the whole thing is that there is a comfort
to it. It is like I'm starting for her, up,
starting the day. This is what I do with my
mom and we as humans need that too, So it's
not a bad thing. Saturn is not. This is tho. Yeah,
and just think about your spiritual practices, right, those are structures,
and structures separate what's mundane to what's sacred. Right, They're

(07:02):
not just limitations to limit you, they're limitations to designate. Right.
Is a denotation of like, wait, we're going to stop
doing that. We're going to do this now, right. It's
it's this is very very healthy and even in our body,
I am not will burst in the astro physiology, which

(07:23):
is what planets influenced parts of the body. But I
do know that Saturn represents the skin, right, that literally
which separates us from the world. Right, our skin, our bones,
our structure. Right, the structure. If we didn't have it,
it kind of will fall out. Right. It's the scaffolding inside, right,

(07:44):
the bones and the teeth and then the skin right,
the boundaries, right, So it's Saturn, the boundaries and the structure.
And I love that um and Saturn also is known
as a father time right the chronos, and this is
you know, people who feel limited by time or feel

(08:05):
scarcity in time, you really want to embrace this time,
this aspect of time of making friends in with Saturn,
especially in Pisces, which we'll get to more in a minute,
which is the opposite of structure, is an opposite of
time consciousness. That disease is a completely different gift. But

(08:27):
so when you need help with time, like we'll just
make sure I have to stay on time, I have
a plane or I have an important call or whatever
it is, something can't be negotiated, you want to call
on Saturn to be your friend to help you support that.
And then also because of the relationship with time, oftentimes

(08:49):
people who have like particularly strong, articulated or aspected element
of Saturn in your chart will have just a great
comfort or their drawn to working with the elderly, people
who have had a lot of time, right the seniors.
They want to read books about you know, people's lives
who've lived a long time, or if they've had a

(09:10):
lot of wisdom. Okay, so I just have to tell
you said this to me before and and as I'm listening,
like our audience is listening to you. I just want
to share what I did last night. So I don't
know if I've shared with everybody that I'm on the
board of directors for a group. It's a five O

(09:32):
one C three called Life Circle here in Santa Fe.
And the organization provides like a senior day center. It's
kind of like for those that are getting older, that
are struggling and they have a caretaker. We're like that
middle step, you know, like like we're not a medical

(09:53):
thing where. But anyway, so yesterday I was there for
hours working on some stuff, and then I had a
board meeting, but I had the privilege of meeting this
woman named Marlene and um and I told her that
my godmother's named Marlene, but she spelled it with two ends.
But we sat there and we talked and it was

(10:15):
it's so funny because you're saying this and it's like,
oh my god, it's happening. Like it is happening. And
it's not only am I doing the work for on
their behalf, but I'm spending time with them time chronos right,
So I don't know, I just want to share that
they're living. It's it's really it's amazing. So I'm sorry.

(10:36):
I didn't mean to interrupt in this that was this capacity,
but it's it's just I have joy. If you guys
could all see my face, I'm like smiling ear to
ear because I love when Brenda tells me why shit's
going on. And so it just like connected it to
literally last night. So in a way, I'm so sorry.
Well I love it. I love it. And again, you
asked for this episode, did you know it? There's always

(10:58):
a reason, always so, So those are some things. And
also just one more thing about Saturn is when we
think about we think about the traditional right to talk
a little bit about traditional structures, like what we're comfortable with,
how it's connected to the past. And it's also a
very logical and process oriented right, as you can imagine,

(11:21):
because it likes to sequence things like it's related to time,
It's about structure. How are we going to structure this?
It likes to bring definition to whatever it is. The
focus is, well, how are we going to define that?
How will we know it's successful? What's necessary and can't change?
You know, like these are the things that really wants
to focus on. So all right, we will be right
back and then we'll start talking about Pisces. It will

(11:42):
be great, all right, y'all stay tuned all right till
we were back, and we're going to talk about the
two fishies. I mean, so Dices is the last sign

(12:03):
of the zodiac, and it is a water sign, and
it is the most elevated of all the water signs,
the highest frequency and totally a psychic center. It's um,
completely unstructured. To think of it as the what's inside

(12:26):
the cocoon before the butterfly forms, like that's what It's
pure potentiality, right, It's the twelfth house. So it's the
last unifying right, it's the oneness of our spiritual expression,
like we're our connectivity that we're totally aware of that

(12:50):
we are is we are aware of zero boundaries, right,
and we have the planet coming into tricky. Yeah, this
is all about boundaries. That is mine mits off right,
That's all right. So it's it's literally the soup of
oneness of one love. Like this is that to me?
This is Pisces. This is the Pisce and energy um

(13:12):
and it's linked to oceans and the seas and all
it wants to do is be in the flow in
the divine sacred flow. It's not upping on time, it's
time time doesn't exist, right, and so um, it can
also be a little bit about delusion and illusion because

(13:38):
it's so um not focused on anything that's specific. It's
just in the collective the connectivity. Does that make sense?
That makes total sense? Yeah, yeah, pisces is it's extraordinary. Um.
It can also represent addictions to you know, in the
delusion aspect, but it's it's also this high high union

(14:02):
with the divine business pieces. So when we bring in
Saturn into this pool of the sacred oneness, it says
initially you just think, oh, how are these two ever
going to survive? How are we going to survive? There's
so much tension in the sky. But when you think

(14:25):
of it as in, there can be a distrust of
old structures, right, think of the distrust like the piscine
energy that says is that real? Is that not real?
I don't even know? Right, So that can show up
as distrust. And then you bring in traditions of Saturn,
right of it could be financial institutions, it could be

(14:47):
teaching institutions, it could be government anything that medical institutions, right,
and you bring them together, you can actually find the
third way that's called innovation, that's called intentional disruption, and
you can see how they serve each other. Does that
make sense? It makes total sense. But I have a question.

(15:08):
So I get the possibilities, but what about those that
ignore it? Like, so you talk about government governments around
the world, by the way, are chaotic. They just I
hadn't noticed, right, But seriously, I mean, like, but there's
chaos that ensues in this and if that's supposed to

(15:29):
be order, which I don't think they're I don't think
that's what they practice anymore. I think they practice gotcha
moments is what they do. But that's just an opinion.
But so what happens at this time if they don't
heed the call, Well, what happens is well, it depends,
It depends on sometimes what they are projecting, whether it

(15:52):
doesn't matter what sort of institution we're talking about. Yeah,
and just you know, it's interesting because pisces is also
the sign of how can I prisons and hospitals um
places that were literally sanctuaries, right, This says because prisons
used to not only yes, they were always punitive, but

(16:15):
sometimes it's like, hey, you need to go think about
what you did right, more like a time out right?
Um right? But um but so it was it was
like this is this is a safe space to heal,
to reflect. Yes, you're accountable, right, bringing in the saturn aspect.
But the pison was like, hey, you have to really

(16:37):
think about how you want to play in the bigger
in the bigger scheme because we're all total sense. Given.
I'm a fan of the prison shows. I totally do that.
Every knows I am. I love them. Yeah, but but actually, funny,
it's part of what I actually like about the prison
shows because if they're written well, you will actually start

(16:58):
to see value, the value and those that actually get
to the right place because they have a time out, right,
but you get that. Yeah, I've never seen I've never
I've never seen the prison show. So thank you for
bringing that in my pleasure. So, um so, what I
was gonna say, it literally depends on what the messaging

(17:21):
coming out of these institutions is whether people will buy
the illusion or say no, we are part of this.
We're going to break down these boundaries and make this
something we have access to. Right. The White House is
the people's house, Right, that's that's how it was really
built originally in this country. It was the people's house.

(17:42):
It wasn't it wasn't there. Um it was the well yeah, okay, yeah,
you're right, it was because it's a house. House. Yeah,
it was the people's house. It was the people's house.
So um so anyhow, that's something that's something to think about.
And so when you bring in the piscey and energy,
that can literally wash away limiting structures. Right, that's that's

(18:03):
another way to marry these two together. Right, it can
wash away the limiting structures and release things that create
space for connections. Oh that is I love that. Here's
the thing, and I just think everybody shouldn't know this.
These energies that you know, shift either in a moment

(18:25):
or over a long period of time like a big
oldlong minstrual cycle. Um these are but there's But the
thing is is like being aware and in trying to
understand you. And the reason I was asking those questions
about what if somebody doesn't heed the call so on
and so forth is um uh, it's it's like we

(18:46):
can all grow, we can ascend, we can do all
these things if we pay attention to this. Because these
calls are things we need, these energetic you know, um
cosmic call calling cards that we get. Right, it's like
to acknowledge it, to not fight it because it's here,
and it's like, because you do you really want to

(19:07):
fight Saturn? You do? Hell, we do it all the
time and they do not recommend it. I do, right,
But this is why this is why we study astrology.
So we can leverage, we can work with, we can
make friends with things that aren't our natural you know, predisposition,
but that doesn't mean we don't have access to it.

(19:28):
We can flex, we can build, we can grow, we
can learn right, we are mutable, take advantage of it,
be humbled by it, be excited by it, like this
is this is why we have these conversations. So you
can say, wait, where do I have some boundaries up
that are just kind of out of habit and I'm
not sure I need them anymore? And what would be

(19:49):
possible if I didn't have them in those positions? But
I move them someplace else to protect this new opening
that I'm creating for accessibility and connection. So that's how
I think of it. And like when and yes, there
will be tension in the sky like I can't do
all this with what I have and versus I want
to do everything, you know, like there has to be

(20:10):
realizing that you can feel both those things at the
same time and giggle and go, I'm in perfect harmony
with the cosmos. Now, I just have to navigate with discernment,
ask for help where I need it. And I also
change your methods. That's the other thing. So do you
want to take a quick break because I have a confession? Okay?

(20:33):
So why did we come right back? And I'll have
it and I'll give my confession. Okay, and welcome back
my all. Thanks, we are here to witness Julie's confession. Well, right,
I mean I always have one, don't I Or I

(20:56):
did for a long time. But here's what I think
is so interesting, and it is weirdly in fession. And
I saw this pattern emerge literally a couple days ago
because I found myself behaving outside of myself, if that
makes sense, sure, right, And so um, you know, I
work on a lot of different projects. I have play

(21:18):
I have volunteer projects, I have projects that pay me,
I have projects that I love, so on and so forth, right,
and I found myself in every single one of them
that I am now the one in the middle who
was like, it's like hurting cats because I saw things
not getting done right. I saw that we needed to

(21:39):
finish projects, and I started giving deadlines. I started like
following up with every by the way, everybody not my nature,
fy I, I'm the one that likes to sit here
and like do the creative stuff, think about solving problems,
you know, writing like I came up with the tagline
for the Circled that I, you know, brought up earlier. Um.

(22:03):
And the funny thing is that being between the world,
I have to tell you here's what's funny is that
the creativity that like Saturn and and and all of
this happening me being more I guess practical. I feel
like a producer of a movie is would be my

(22:23):
example is because the producer is responsible for you know,
the site location and getting everybody together and putting you know,
and and forcing deadlines right. Um. But it did not
limit creativity. The creativity was still able to come through
because I was working with the energy. So I did
not understand what Jupiter it pisces meant until today and Saturn,

(22:48):
what I say, Pluto that was weird you said, Jupiter,
But it's fine, Okay, whatever planet you said that we're
supposed to pay attention to, saturn Um. I did not
know what it meant. Listen, I don't even know the planet.
It's very well obviously Oklahoma school upbringing man. That that
um that it explained the shift that I've had, Like

(23:11):
it's literally it was almost overnight, and it was not
my It's not where I can do it. Like, it's
not like a difficult thing for me to do. You know,
I'm capable of it. It's just not what I choose
like to be that person, Right, You'd rather be one
of the cats. I'd rather be a cat that somebody
has to go corral for real. I mean, I'm more

(23:31):
happy than being outside me owing at the moon than
I am trying to like hurt everybody in right. Yeah,
but I didn't fight it a like. I think that's
a really interesting thing because I tend to like to
fight shit. But I didn't fight it. I went along
with it. Creativity came out. I've actually, I'm not gonna lie.

(23:52):
I've been happier in the last couple of days than
I had been in the last month. Isn't that interesting?
Isn't that fascinating? It's really interesting? Right um? And and
we all calm again and calmer. I've been happier, calmer.
Things have been flowing. I've been working my ass off,
like from morning till you know, I'm doing something, but

(24:17):
I'm not running it up against any brick walls. Creativity
is flowing through because that part is the part that
makes me happy. Right. Um. But I feel, um, I
feel progress. We feel progress on our house being remodeled. Yah,
we feel I feel progress and all these all the
projects that I do, I feel progress, and a lot

(24:37):
of personal life things that were a result of the move,
like the movers destroying our art. Um. But there's progress
on all parts because I'm I'm I'm moving it. I'm
moving with this like I feel like I got the
call that said you got to move and you got
to be in the middle to orchestrate or it's not

(24:57):
going to happen. So and I love this because really,
if we can see the positivity of the relationship between
what appears to be opposites but it actually is compatibility. Right,
the container of Saturn is what holds the creativity that
would be like water on pavement without it, which means

(25:20):
it goes everywhere and it's not productive. Right, Saturn wants
to be the container, wants to come in and bring
structure and process to the flow of creativity. This is
where we get innovation. This is where we get artistic breakthroughs.
This is where we get breakthroughs in medicine and banking
and all kinds of very traditional valued things. But there's

(25:42):
all this room for innovation. It's amazing, like a beautiful relationship,
not adversarial. And it's interesting because it's not creatively because
I've obviously operate in a lot of creative areas and
I don't see a fire hose of creativity. I see

(26:04):
a directness of creativity, if that makes sense. Like it's like, um,
as I was trying to um, and I'll just talk
about Life Circle. I don't think anybody would mind their charity.
So if anybody wants to donate, go to Life Circle, Oh,
life Cycle nm dot org. Um. The website is We're
going to be updated but anyway. UM. But it's not

(26:27):
like my little free commercial for a charity. UM. But
it's not like because I've had I've had instances where
literally the creativity wouldn't stop, and I didn't where to
put it all. It's like I needed to solve for
one thing and I got the solution. It was not
It didn't drown me. Interesting because we're talking about a

(26:48):
water sign. I was not drowned by it. It was
directed in. The creativity wasn't like my typical add of
solving ten things at once. It was focused, it was contained,
to your point, very different than that I've experienced before. UM.
I mean, the flood of creativis really can be fun.
It can be exhausting, but sometimes it's not productive. This

(27:12):
was productive. I needed to do it, UM. And do
you mind if I share with what the kind of
end result was. I'd love to hear it. I'd love
to hear it because again I'd shared that this is
an organization that serves our seniors, UM, that are struggling
with something right like whether it be dementia or Alzheimer's

(27:33):
or uh, what's the one that you shake? What do I?
I always Parkinson's park. I don't know why I think
they need to rename a lot of this stuff Alzheimer's.
Who know that's a terrible spelling. Now we can pronounce
it right, Um, so or they have Parkinson's, whatever it
may be. I've just hear it entertained you, Brenda. So

(27:56):
that's my purpose life. Yeah. So so we're like this
kind of like midway stop. Right. It's like we're not
at the very beginning when somebody's just dealing with her.
The family's just dealing with it, and we're not the
end of life solution. We're kind of in the middle.
And so I was trying to find a positioning for
what we do and and and what is the emotional

(28:18):
essence of what we provide? And I just it just
came to me and it was a place to turn to.
It's life circle, a place to turn to. It's not overpromising.
We're not like a beacon in a storm, right. It's
also not ups you may have something right now. It's like,
you know, something's going on, and we're a place to

(28:39):
turn to. And at the board meeting, everybody embraced it.
It felt good to everyone. And um, and I just think,
you know, all my guides in the universe and everybody
who actually gave it to me and and um because
it feels right, and I think that's the whole thing.
It felt right it's not like some um, you know,

(29:01):
it wasn't a rhyme. It's not what we're looking for.
We're just looking for a position. It's not it's not flashy. No,
it's not flashy, but you feel it and very pice in. Right.
So we're here, we're one with you. We'll meet you
where you are. We'll hold that space. It's healing, a
healing space to turn to, you know, because so many

(29:23):
people don't know what to do. Um. Right, they don't
know what to do and um. And it's also really
interesting about what you were saying about all this too,
about the about creating a space, creating a container, all
this stuff. I've been asked to speak at the New
Mexico Alzheimer's Association event next month and and I'll actually

(29:45):
be talking about these things. So it was this all
all you're blowing my mind because because it's also one
of those things. And this is what I really encourage
everybody that once you can begin to understand this and
embrace it is you don't have to be you don't
have to fight to be the person you think you are,
right Like I think that's the key, is like being

(30:07):
able to go with the flow. Right, pice in being
able to not say, well, I am this person and
I must be this person every day, every minute of
my lifetime. You don't have to. If you are, You're
just going to feel and you're going to hit resistance
and yourself and what is the point of that? Right?

(30:30):
And do you know? I think this aspect of Saturn
in Pisces invites people to dive deeply into those uncomfortable
emotions with the accountability for who they are with the
Saturn aspect, because Saturn's all about accountability what are you doing?
By what are you doing? I'll also tell you and

(30:51):
wise again though, Brent is Alzheimer, So if you know
how hard that is for me, But I'm doing it
to serve. I'm doing it because it is a right.
I've been writing my speech and crying while I'm writing it. Yeah,
And that's that's what this aspect, that this responsibility you

(31:12):
have to who much has given much is required. So
of course they're going to ask you to speak, and
how do I balance that and allow for the emotional experience? Right?
This is and the emotional wisdom that comes with processing.
So much of our processing has been put on hold
over the last couple of years, whether it's from grieving

(31:32):
people who jumped, because there's been millions of them, right,
to losing contact with friends, to losing jobs, to whatever
it is. Right, there's there's a lot of grieving that
has been put on hold. And I think this is
another aspect I just want to bring up. It is
our responsibility to ourselves and to reach out to people
we know to help them find their space to grieve,

(31:57):
and maybe a lot of it could be through creating stories. Right,
there is an element um you know with Neptune in pisces.
Also you know about telling our stories and sometimes the
stories are accurates and sometimes they're not. But were you
looking at me for that? I was, sometimes they're not

(32:17):
accurate doing I'm true. But I do think there's you know,
there's a space for emotional processing that can be honored
in this next two and a half years. It's an
invitation to consider. So I think it's really important. I
think that you are I don't know what percentage to
give you, how right you are? Whatever infinite you know,

(32:39):
infinity is percentage is what it feels like. How right
what you just said is for people? Yes? And I
just also just just want to qualify. This is just
scratching the surface to let people know this is moving on.
You can jump online and there's some really good things
and there's some, you know, not so great things out there,
but feel into it, right even use the energy of

(33:00):
Pisces and then discern with the Saturn energy what best
applies to you. Oh so good. Thanks for letting me confess.
I didn't realize I was. I was going to church
and hit the confessional. You can't even know what that means.
I've never done it. I've only seen it on TV.
I saw it on Sopranos a lot because Carmela kept
having to go into the confessional. Reference. Oh thank goodness,

(33:28):
you lived in Hollywood. It just Hollywood makes everything better,
It just does. So thanks for listening today. I hope
he gave you something to think about regarding the next
two and a half years of how you can step
up and play and leverage with the oneness of Pisces

(33:48):
and the container and boundary so Saturn, so great, it's
so great. Thank you so much, And I'm going to
speak on behalf of everybody who listens to this episode.
