being declared dead. Excuse me, here's the thing you would think, Oh,
it's camp in America. Oh no, it is, in fact, Gaithersburg, Maryland.

(02:31):
Nor name's the coole. I don't want to blow out
her whole spot here. My gosh, So she's spoken out
of her anguish after she was mistakenly declared dead. Nicole
Blank of Gaithersburg, Maryland, made the discovery after applying to
renew her driver's license. She says she was left quote
frightened and surprised as a text informed her she was

(02:52):
officially dead popped up on the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration's system.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Why did she like push the wrong button or was.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
It just oh NodD boy? She goes on to say,
it then appears that I am deceased, She told the
NBC for Washington. Oh, I got a little frightened. I'm
not gonna lie in surprise because I'm alive. I'm here clearly.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Officials then informed her she could not renew her license
before she received a letter. Yeah, before she received a
letter from the I R S describing her as a
discreet deceased taxpayer.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
No, I'm clearly, very alive.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
She then said, health insurance for the mother and her
three children was canceled, prompting issue of medical bills and
leaving her unable to get the inhaler's need for her asthma.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
She then received a call from Social Security, who told
her the mistake was the result of a typo.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Typo on Who's park?

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Get fire them immediately.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
I would hope if you mark somebody as dead, there's
a prompt like are you sure?

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Are you sure? What would you?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
What were you trying to do? Like?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
How do you not notice that you just killed someone off?

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Was that?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
And not? Not right? The wrong?

Speaker 3 (04:04):
She told NBC Washington that follow the inquiries, she got
a letter from the Social Security Administration saying the mistake
had been corrected and that she was officially alive.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Again, are you going to pay for everything?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Then?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Now I have to go back and do.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Listen to our MVA workers. You know I love you. You
listen to this show, ok, the MVA. I love you. However,
deal with the MVA. When I was hit by the
drunk driver two years ago and the car was totaled,
it took probably four months for them to stop sending
me notices about not having insurance on the car that
was totaled. I returned the licenses, I sent the pictures.

(04:39):
I'm like, hey, the car, you can't drive it anymore.
I don't have the car, and like I would call
and they would tell me I was wrong. I was like,
with all due respects or madam, the car is still
no idea what the car is. I can't imagine having
to call him like hey, I'm alive, Like hey, it's so,
it's me. Hey, funny story if I was dead. Can't
do this. Nope, A live baby. Uh, that's horrendous. I

(05:04):
would hope they give her like a gift card or
something like, hey, sorry for your troubles, welcome back, we
miss you.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Save me in some way? Can you sue for that?

Speaker 3 (05:13):
I know I would imagine, especially like with the inhaler,
like that's a pretty big thing. Yeah, I think show Yeah, Gathisburg, Maryland. Baby,
We're absolutely it's an intern Johnny
