Hannah and Matty have officially been dating for three weeks after originally meeting on Bumble two months ago. Hannah tells us that because Matty has a busy work schedule that they only hang out whenever he is free, but it usually is overly planned by Matty. This past weekend Hannah was hanging out with friends when one of her friends asked which apartment Matty has brought Hannah back to. Hannah didn’t know what she meant so she’s worried that Matty might be lying about their relationship or at least about where he lives.

We call Matty pretending to send him a free bouquet of flowers and when we ask him who he wants to send them to, Matty asks if we can split the dozen up so that he can put them in both of his apartments. Find out what’s really going on in this week’s War Of The Roses!

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Four of the Rosies on Internshion in your morning show.
You think you're in a happy, healthy relationship, but then
some things start to not add up. We try to
rip that band aid off. Hannah, good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Hey, good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
This is has potential to be the craziest thing I've
ever seen with the War of the Roses with you
and Maddie. So officially, you guys have been dating for
how long?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Well, we've been dating for two months in total, but
we've been officially like boyfriend and girlfriend for only three
weeks now.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Okay, so we matched on bumble two months ago, but
three weeks ago we decide to have the official we're
boyfriend and girlfriend. We're not seeing anybody.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Else exactly exclusive the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
And whose idea was that?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I guess I guess it was kind of mine, and
that I started it just to I was like, you know,
what are we kind of thought because someone else had
asked me out and I did not want to go,
so I like brought that up to him, and so
I guess I started it, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
And so the reason we're here to doing one of
the roses. I want to give way too much about
where you live, but you are in the Arlington area.
Does that fair? Say yes, yes? And so in your
own words, Maddie a very busy guy, and so a
lot of times we hang out is kind of on
his schedule. Is that fair?

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Like definitely, I mean almost like an OCD level of
on his on his time.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
How so if you mind me asking.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Well, like whenever we go to plan something like let's
say we're going to go to dinner, it's not just
like okay, hey, let's grab dinner tonight, It's like, okay,
so I'll pick you up at six thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Our reservation is at seven.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
We'll have dinner from seven to eight, and then from
eight to eight thirty we'll do for a little walk
around the block and then we can be back to
my place at nine.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Like it's there.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
That's a lot of Yeah, So structure, is he Yeah,
he's a virgo.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
I figure like he's just sure.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Is he a busy guy? Like is his schedule such
that he has to be?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
I mean I think he's busy, but I also just
think like he's he is like his work is really
serious and it's very structured, Like he does do really
well at work. So I figure like he's just used
to that, Like, I just feel like he takes his
professional like into his personal life.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Sure you know.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
And so let's get this past weekend. See, you're out
doing a girl's in Clarendon. You start talking to somebody
who apparently knows Maddie and they ask you what about
his living situation?

Speaker 3 (02:37):
My girlfriend literally says to me, she's she's a new friend.
She's like a friend of a friend. She's not my
closest girlfriend. But she goes, oh, Maddie, yeah, I think
I've I think I've seen you guys out like out
and about. I think she saw us one night at dinner.
And she goes, what apartment do you get to see?

Speaker 2 (02:56):
And what.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
You get this? See? My yes?

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Okay, So he has like multiple apartments that are known or.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Okay, allegedly he has Allegedly he has two coal apartments. Uh,
one is for hookups allegedly, and then one is like
a two bedroom that that he works out of, which
is like his I guess where he lives and has
his home office as well.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
So why not just liked it at the two bedroom
because he.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Needs to separate work in place? What a silly question
to ask?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Okay, So I'm confirmed, like I made her describe Maddie
like I made sure that we're talking about the same Maddie.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
It's definitely the same guy.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
So I don't know what the hell could be going at,
but obviously to be question, have.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
You seen the one bedroom or the two bedroom?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Well, of course I've only seen a one bedroom. He
had two bedrooms.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Yeah, so we'll have os call from the flowers shop
next off from the flowers clearly as you go to you.
If they down, we'll get some answers for you. Okay,
more of the Roses an intern John your morning show
for the Roses interns, John your Morning Show, Hannah. I'm
gonna recap this in this again unless there's a really

(04:19):
neat explanation for this is kind of bordering the craziest
thing we've had so far. So, you and Maddie have
been officially dating for three weeks, matched on bumble about
two months ago. He is very ocd about timing on
things like we're gonna be at this place at this time,
this place of this time, so on and so forth.
You were out with girlfriends getting the drink this weekend.

(04:39):
A kind of friend of a friend that was asking
about Maddie and implied they've seen Maddie before and asked
you which apartment you see now? With the talk off
the air, Not only is this person suggesting he has
a one bedroom for hookups and then a two bedroom
apartment for living. Yeah, these apartments are in the the

(05:00):
same complex.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
That's what it sounds like.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yeah, so, and like okay, by the way, I find
with the link, it looks like there's multiple towers here.
And by the way, rent starts starts around twenty seven
hundred and go as high as for something depending on
what he gets. So in theory, my man is paying
about seven grand a month for two apartments in.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
The same company.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
That's so weird.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Unless there's a huge misunderstanding. Uh, in stupid question? Handed
this this girl you were talking to is so? She
obviously was implying that she and Maddie have had a
past or she heard through friends or well.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
No, it wasn't that hurt that she and him had
hooked up. Is that she had heard through like friends
of hers that it's been with him. I would have
gotten all the other question.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I mean, he said he does very well, so it's
plausible he could afford seven to six grand in rent plausible, I.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Mean from everything that I can tell, But now I'm
questioning everything. I mean, but yeah, from everything that I
can tell, he definitely he's very generous.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
He always pays like, so I assume he's doing well.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
The last question I had, again, assuming this is true
and he has two apartments in the same complex, the
one that you've seen, does it appear to be lived in? Like,
does it look like he actually sleeps there or does
it look like yeah? Or is it look staged?

Speaker 3 (06:27):
I mean, I guess, yeah, I guess it could feel
a little stage if you look at it like that.
But I figured he's just like a dude that doesn't
have a lot of decorations and is kind of you know.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Okay, listen, this is either I mean this on the
MARB can say, so, let's sauce call off from the
flowers obviously go to you. If they do, we'll put
them on hold and see if you want to do.
If they go somewhere else, we'll get some answers for you. Okay, Okay,
let's hold on one second, because I am tickled.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Shut up.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I mean, if he has two apartments, why is that just.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
What are we doing?

Speaker 5 (07:14):
Hello?

Speaker 4 (07:15):
Hello, I'm calling for Maddie. Hi, Maddie. My name is
Carrie and I'm just calling you from a new local
flower shop. We're trying out some new marketing where we're
offering locals a free bouquet of a dozen roses, just
hoping that you come back to us in the future.
Is that something you'd be interested in?

Speaker 5 (07:33):
Actually, I if I'm on some kind of list or something,
it's I appreciate it, but no, thank you.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
You could.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Yeah, we're just trying out some new marketing instead of
having you know, like ads on Instagram and stuff, so
that you can actually see the product. You're just you know,
you get on these kinds of lists from the internet
and stuff, so I'm not sure how you got on
this one. I'm just trying to make my mom's dream
come true. Yeah, so we can actually send these anywhere
in the country. Uh do you do? You want to

(08:02):
keep it local?

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (08:04):
You know, do me a favorite, send them to me directly,
and then I'll take care of the rest from there.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
I mean we can. We can deliver it like my
brother will go anywhere.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Yeah, all right, you know you can. You can send
them me. You'll send them to my building.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
You can leave them at the front desk.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
Uh. Is there a possibility you guys could break them
in half? Is that you know, like you do six
and six? You split them?

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (08:29):
I mean that's yeah, we could do that.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Okay, yeah, cool? All right, So if you guys could
take it to the front desk and my building and
split them for me, that you can deliver it from
there and then I'll I'll take it from there.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
Did you just like want them like put in the
lobby of where you live or something, because we can
like bring them to your door.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
You don't have to worry about that now you can.
You can leave them at the front desk and then
just leave two cards with them separately. That way you know,
I know where they're going. Uh, and we'll split them.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Yeah yeah, Okay, what do you want the first one
to say? Like, who's the first bouquet going to? I
guess six for roses.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
We can put down my name and then put it
in l A and then my name on the other
one and then put it for DC.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
They'll know what the difference is. Uh.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
And then one card one card you.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Could say for Daddy's little girl.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
And then the other one you could say it was
great meeting you.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Okay, so hot? So you want the l A one
to say Daddy's little girl. Correct, We can send these
two la if you mean Los Angeles.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
You can leave them directly at the at my plate
and then I'll I'll find them where they've gotta go.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Great meeting you, I was gonna keep because we try
to keep on record, you know, like who they are?

Speaker 2 (09:50):
You?

Speaker 4 (09:52):
It was great meeting you. I'm assuming that it's just
like a date.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
Uh yeah, yeah, I guess we could say was a date.
It was, Yeah, it was a little guest together.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Sure, can I put you on home if you don't mind?

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Just hey, Hannah, I be honest. I have no idea
the hell's going on. He watched the flowers split and
then I don't know if l A is uh girl
or or what I thought.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
I'm at Los Angeles, so I'm like her, Are you
going to send those?

Speaker 1 (10:24):
I don't know? So you what do you want?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (10:28):
We can just be honest with them to confront him.
Do you want to do that? Do you want to
hang up?

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Let's go?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Okay, hold on one second, Hey, Maddie, Yes, Hey, my
name is intern John. I got sauce and rose here

Speaker 5 (11:31):

because I'm on your se I know women be crazy
some time, So you're saying that you you, you're confirming
you have two apartments in the same building, and Hannah
would know because you run errands to the other one
with her. Yeah, why not just have the one? Why

(12:18):
would Why are you paying rent on two places in
the same building.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
One of them is for my business and then the
other one is is you know, it's my living.

Speaker 5 (12:32):

but obviously, like, are you shocked that? I mean that
what that shot?

Speaker 1 (12:46):
What did you shot me?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
So I just answer, I am shocked.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
