Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hey, friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to kit
Short Stories. Do you know what makes these stories way
more awesome? Yes? Sharing with a friends. So right now,
I want you to think of two friends that you
can share this story, and definitely part one since this
today's is a part two story. I hope that they've
already heard at least part one. So ask your parents

(00:26):
to text two of your friends both yesterday's and today's episode.
Are you guys ready for today's adventure? Me too?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
As Yash was standing there in front of this giant
dog named Ruffs, he realized that he had just stepped
foot not only into a cave, but into an incredible mission. Wait,
hold on a second.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
What's going on? Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yes, remember in the last episode that Yash was trying
to see if this giant dog was real and he
stumbled into a cave and they learned that it is
actually real, and that is where our venture continues. Yash
was standing in front of Ruffs, that giant dog with

(01:19):
magical powers, and Yash was wondering what to do. Okay,
so what exactly are we supposed to do? Like? Do
you need my help? Oh? That would be great? Why
don't you hop on my back and we'll try and
get out of this cave. You see, Yash had used
his shovel to dig a hole that was big enough

(01:41):
for him to squeeze through, but it was definitely not
big enough for as big as Ruffs was. Ruffs was
a ginormous dog, the biggest dog that I've ever seen. Uh,
maybe is as big as a truck. Yeah, Ruffs was
a very big dog. Before I hop on your back,
how about I try and make this hole bigger? Who ruff,

(02:05):
That's a great idea, said Ruffs. Yosh grabbed his shovel
and started digging away at the wall of snow that
had covered the entrance to this cave for who knows
how long, and pretty soon Yosh was able to make
that tiny little tunnel that he squeezed through just barely
big enough for Ruffs to make his way out. He's

(02:29):
rough sniffed the air. He smiled. Oh I haven't Oh,
I haven't had fresh air in forever. This is this
is amazing. Oh. He let out a giant howl, and
Yosh laughed. I think we should probably get to work,

(02:52):
because I don't want a real volcano to explode. You're right.
You're right. Well, I I'm not exactly sure how we're
supposed to stop this volcano. Roof, do you have any ideas?
Yosh thought for a second, and oh, I have an idea.
So you have some kind of magic power that you

(03:14):
can move stuff with your mind, right, Roof, you got it? Yeah? Perfect.
So I think if we were able to put enough
snow and ice into the top of Mount Everest, it
would stop it from actually exploding into a big volcano. Right. Well,
thatx does sound like a good idea, but unfortunately the

(03:37):
top is already covered in a bunch of snow. We
have to get all that snow and ice deeper down
inside the volcano word actually touches the lava. If we
can get the lava Roof to calm down and cool down,
then maybe, just maybe it won't explode. And that is

(03:57):
what I was doing in that cave. But when all
that snow fell down, it blocked me in and I
was unable to bring any more snow along the way.
Yosh didn't realize that the cave that the Roffs the
Giant Dog was in was actually a tunnel that led
all the way down to the source of all the
lava for Mount Everest. Now they just need to find

(04:20):
a way to get that snow all the way down
to the lava. Do you have any good ideas of
how to move a whole bunch of snow really far away? Hmmm? Oh,
you can slide on snow. So maybe if they had
a whole bunch of sleds, they could fill the sleds
up with snow and slide them down right. Hmm, that's

(04:44):
a good idea. But I think we're gonna need a
lot more snow than just a few sled folds. Ruffs.
I need to see this, the tunnel that goes all
the way down to the lava. Can you show that
to me? Said Yash. Oh, absolutely, let's go. Rough Ruffs
led the way and Yash followed close behind as they

(05:04):
walked deeper and deeper into this cave, and it quickly
did turn into a very steep tunnel down and it
was very very slippery. Whoa, whoa, whoa, Yosh, and Ruffs
started sliding and sliding. Oh on roof. Ruff used his

(05:26):
big claws to dig into the snow and ice to
stop them.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
From sliding all the way.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Look at that, Yosh, couldn't believe it. There was a
giant pool of lava, and Ruffs saved them both just
in the nick of time.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Roof, that was a close one.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
All right, we gotta get out of here, said Yash.
But this could actually be perfect if we're able to
find a way to launch a whole bunch of snow
down the tunnel. I think the snow will just funnel
and flow right into the lava. Cool it down before
it's too late, Roff, that sounds like a great idea, Roof.
They both climbed up to the back to the top

(06:08):
of the cave where all the snow was outside of
the mountain. Hey, Ruffs, could you show me how fast
you can dig in the snow? Oh? Dig in the snow? Why?
I love to dig in the snow, Roof, step aside.
Rough stepped up towards a big pile of snow and
knelt down, and with his two front paws, he started

(06:29):
digging and digging and digging. The snow was flying between
his back legs and.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Into the cave.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Wait a second, this might actually work. Yosh ran over
to the cave and watched as all the snow that
was flying out of all the digging from Roffs was doing,
and he was shooting down the tunnel all the way
down to the lava. They could hear the sound of

(06:57):
the lava cooling from all of that snow and ice.
Yash ran over to Ruffs and said, you're doing it.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
It's actually working.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Just keep digging, Roof. My favorite thing to do is dig,
so that's not a problem. Look out. Ruffs continued to
dig throughout the rest of the day, dumping all of
the snow that was on Mount Everest all the way
into the cave, which slid all the way back to

(07:29):
the lava. By the end of the day, Ruffs had
completely filled the cave and tunnel and the pool of
lava down below with snow and ice, and the lava
was out for good. Wow, Ruffs, you did such a
great job, said Yash. Roof. Roof, Oh that was fun, Roof.

(07:52):
So where are you going to sleep tonight? Ruffs? Oh, well,
now that that cave is all filled up, I'm not exactly.
Josh didn't even think for a second, and he said
you should come back with me.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Come on.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Ruff's was now the happiest dog ever.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
He was able to save the whole area from an
exploding Mount Everest and he found a new friend and
maybe even a new home with Yosh the end.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Great job, you listened all the way to the end
and you know what tell it is heads time for
chard shout out. I want to say to Caroline and
Sloan from Denver, Colorado, Harland from Los Angeles, Ezra from Canada,
Ethan Elliott, Ezra and Kim from New Jersey, Elida from Colorado,
Isza from California, Connor and MICHAELA from Australia. I'm so

(08:58):
glad that you're all in the kid short stories for
family and on our spy team. We could not stop
Doctor Stinky Breath and his crew without you, my friends.
Well you have a super duper day and I will
see you on our next adventure. Bye.
