Speaker 1 (00:00):
So one of the reason that we're not happy is
because we've been consistently taught to think a certain way,
Like we've allowed ourselves to live in such negativeness about us,
or such terrible things that we keep replaying or living
in or repurposing in our life, that that is the
only thing that we make part of our life, like
it's the way, the easiest way to think about it,
think about it like literally, there's a scientific study that

(00:21):
shows us that it's easier to think negative about you.
Like right now, I want you to do this exercise
as we go through these steps. I want you to
think about this one thing right now. I want you
to name four things that you find really good about you,
and they won't write them in the comments. We'll make
this a thing. We're all to look at it. Four
things that you find really good about you, and then
find four things that you dislike about you. Now, the

(00:42):
longer it takes, right, it's going to be a lot
easier for you to name four that are negative that
are than the ones that are positive. Right, because it's
easier for us to jump to the negative, assuming that
you've never done anything like this, It's easier for us
to jump to the negative because it's easier for that
to just be loud. And this is something that I've
learned over the years, that the lies need to be loud.

(01:04):
The truth is patient, it's silent, it's just there because
it's true. It doesn't have to yell. I compare this
to having an argument with the person. But the louder
the person gets, the more they think that they're winning
because they're louder. And yes, you might hear the more
and you might see it more. But the patient person
knows the truth, they're more relaxed because they know that
they don't have to prove anything. So what if your

(01:24):
thoughts are that I like that. What if the way
you think it's easier to believe the loudness of the
lie than it is to believe the patience of the truth.
It's easier to think that you are this terrible thing
in this terrible place and your past, and you are
your mistakes, and it is to sit here and realize
that you're not those things, that you're not these worst
possible things that you've ever done or been through, that
you're not the byproduct of your mistakes, but you are

(01:46):
the fullness of who you fully are. It's easier for
us to sit here and live in these things because
we've become so conditioned to it that it's just easy
to fall into it. So I want you to challenge
that the thoughts you have about you are they genuine,
are they real? Or are they just things that you
refuse to let go of because you couldn't fix things
that you keep replaying because they're a part of your life. Yes,

(02:09):
you've made mistakes and you're gonna make so many more.
But the truth of the matter is that you can't
stay in those things. You need to be able to
change it. So there are physical things that we can
do that literally we change it. And they are also
practical things that we can live with how we tell
ourselves or live in as we tell ourselves these things.
So I need you. We're gonna talk about the physical

(02:31):
pragmatic things, and we'll talk about the thought things, but
you first to come to this reality that your thoughts
only are ruled by how you free you let them be.
So if you let them roam and create things on
its own, and you don't challenge them, and you don't
sit there and actually say, why am I thinking this way?
Why is this thing popping up my mind? You know
what it's gonna do. It's gonna run rampant. It's gonna
create its own thought patterns, It's gonna create its own things.

(02:53):
So I need you to challenge those thoughts. Are are
they genuinely real? Are you having these thoughts because you
know there's something genuinely happy? Or or you're just letting
it create its own thing. And your brain is powerful, right,
It's gonna make its own path. It's gonna create all
of its own ways because it's that good. It's the
best computer to ever live in this world. But if
you consistently let those things be present without challenging them,

(03:15):
without asking is this real? Or what is this stem to,
then you're always gonna be ran by those rampant thoughts.
So we're gonna talk about the physical first, and then
we'll talk about the little pragmatic, the spiritual and emotional
and things that you can do when you're owed. But
there are certain things that we let happen because we
don't change certain scenarios. So one big replacement for this
is negativity in your surroundings. And sometimes it literally is

(03:37):
a space. There might be a space that you've become
accustomed to when you feel really sad, or when you
feel really depressed, or you feel anxious, that you go
to this particular place, And it does not have to
be like literally a tangible place. Sometimes it could be
like a thought pattern, or it could be music that
you listen to, or it could be a particular TV
show that you watch. So what's happening is that you've
conditioned your brain and your body to think, Okay, well,

(03:58):
every time I go to this place, I can feel
free or I can feel safe. But what's happening there
is that you're just padding up the negativeness. I want
you to switch it up. If typically, let's say, just
for example, that when you feel sad, you go to
your room and lay in your bed. Next time you're
having these negative thoughts or next time you're going through
this phase, I don't want you to go to your room.
I want you to pick a totally different place, someplace

(04:20):
it's not commonly that you would go when you're having
these kind of things. Why. Because we're disrupting the way
that we're thinking. We're disrupting the pattern that we've created
with this particular situation, particular emotion, that now allows you
to be able to not feedback into that, and it's
gonna take some time, right, It's not just the one
time thing. But the easier you start switching this, it
gives it this instability that doesn't allow it to actually

(04:41):
flourish and stick and grow. You're creating this dissonance between
what you're used to and where you are now. And
unfortunately for a lot of people, we go into these
modes of sadness that we let our negative thoughts or
our emotions, we let these things just control every aspect
of our lives. And this is ever changes, right, because
if you're allowing it to drive the car and the

(05:03):
destination is taking you, is that where you want to be.
You're consistently living in this negativeness that's now creating something
new that's not what you actually are, it's not what
you desire, it's not where you ever want to live in,
but you're giving it power. Our next one here is
move and then exercise is literally scientifically proven to make
you happier. If you're having negative thoughts and you begin
to work out and begin to move, you begin to walk,

(05:25):
you begin to sweat. This particular action actually releases endorphins
in your body. So you're literally using your body against itself. Right,
You're using your body to help you feel happier, to
help you think better, to help you be more productive.
And of course who wouldn't want to lose a couple
of pounds. But this is reality where if you exercise,
if you move, it's gonna help you be able to

(05:45):
combat negative thoughts. And this next point here is a
big one because we tie it into what you say
to you. It's talk over it, like I genuinely want
you to challenge those thoughts. I generally want you to
challenge that negativity. Why where is it coming from? Is
it valid? Is it real? Is it something that's genuinely
affecting me? Or is it something that I'm letting have control?
Is it something that that's coming from, something that's unfixable,

(06:07):
unchangeable and tangible. And if that's the case, then why
are you overthinking it because there's nothing you can do
about it? Or is it coming from something that you
can actually change? And if that's the case, then do
the thing they can make a change. Unfortunately, sometimes we
let the thoughts be so loud that we don't speak
to them. We don't speak over. We don't challenge it.
If you don't challenge it, you're letting it live, you're
letting it exist. And our next point is find a
way to serve. And this is an important one because

(06:29):
science shows us that we are happier when we give,
when we do something for other people, even in our
sadist states, it actually makes us feel better because it
ties into our natural desire to help and to grow.
And this actually ties to our next point, which is
find the way to be grateful. Gratitude will change your
entire life when you learn to be grateful for the

(06:49):
things that you do have and not ungrateful for the
things that you don't or the negative things are happening
in life, or the mistakes or the flaws. When you
don't make that the center point, life becomes so good.
Why because you're focused on all positively, so you're doing
something good and then you're grateful for what is good.
And finally, a big point here is write it down.
And this might sound redundant, and somebody you probably here often,
but when you literally write your feelings down or to

(07:11):
put them in your notes, you will actually allow yourself
to see what it is and there's actions that you
take like destroying and deleting, getting rid of it. That
is something tangible that allows you to be able to
express your emotions, release them, and actually get away from them. Now,
I need you to understand that negative thoughts are something
that we all deal with. Everyone struggles with this. There's

(07:32):
not a single person on the serf that is always positive.
That there are twenty four to seven positive. But if
you don't do the things to help you be happy,
if you don't do the things to stop those negative thoughts,
and you can't say, well, I desire to be happier
because you're not taking any action. Yes, there's stuff that's clinical, right,
there's something you need help or you need to take therapy,
or even certain situations certain drugs. But the reality of

(07:53):
this is that there's a lot we have power over
that we think we don't. There's a lot that's negative
in our life that has convinced that we don't have
this power. And when I tell you you don't have
this power, and I'm loud about it and I'm yelling
at you, and you never challenge it, you will never
know it. You will sit there and think, well, this
is who I am and this is what I'm going through,
and you'll remain in that thing. But that's not who
you are. You're made for something so good. You're made

(08:16):
to do amazing things in this world. But if you
consistently let negativity be the principle of what you do
or what don't do, then you lose. So the choice
is simple. Do I let it fester and live and
grow and creative mind of its own or do I
challenge it? Do I sit here and say this thing
should not have this much power over me and rob
it of its power. At the end of the day,
the option is yours, But you have to choose what

(08:39):
you want to choose. You have to choose how you
want to live. Is it in the negativeness or is
it challenging it
