to not be afraid to reinmfit yourself, not be afraid
to go forward. Do not let age define your dreams,
Do not let age define your vision, Do not let
age define your passion. Because honestly, at fifty six, oh,

(00:35):
I believe in my heart that the best is yet
to come.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
I don't even think the thing.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
That I will be the most known for are the
most famous for happened yet.

a warm welcome to the incredible Cynthia Bailey.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Cynthia welcome.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
So much, Thank you, Dany, It's so good to see you.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I do think now, you know, generationally, you know, millennials,
so many people have taught us because I think about,
you know, I'm a woman of a certain age, and
I think about how when I was at the early
days of my career from nursing to this, you just
thought we were going to be like one trick ponies, right,
there's not the three acts. You were just gonna go
and I was gonna be a nurse for life. But
I really am embracing the change. Maybe once upon a

(02:07):
time that would have like scared the crap out of me,
Like I left the change being like we're allowed to
reinvent ice erms, we're allowed to like pivot and follow
a new pass Yes, I.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Agree, and I hope that if it's one thing that
I can show women, all women, especially women of age,
is to not be afraid to reinmfit yourself, not be
afraid to go forward. Do not let age define your dreams,
Do not let age define your vision, Do not let

(02:37):
age define your passion. Because honestly, at fifty six years old,
I believe in my heart that the best is yet
to come. I don't even think the thing that I
will be the most known for are the most famous.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
For it has yet it hasn't even happened yet.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Drop in more gems. No what I and you know what?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
This is the beauty of sort of age and wisdom
because you're right, like I wholeheartedly believe that now. And
you know, when you're young, you hear these things. So
I hope many movers, you know, those are you that
are listening right now, that are at all different ages,
know that like the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth acts like.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
They're just charged with so much more energy.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
And you know, listen, you have the money to do
different things like it's so much different than your twenties,
and I love it so much for both of us.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yes, thank you. You know it's wow. You know, life
is just so funny. I think what we don't realize
is that really we are the ones that are in
control of our lives and our destiny. I'm big on prayer,
I'm big on manifestation, and I'm also big on hard work,
like actually doing the work, and you know, yeah, taking

(03:49):
an opportunity and creating other opportunities within an opportunity, which
is what I did with Seagrams. Actually, Like when yes, yes, yes,
when Seagram's actually approached me about giving me my own
signature flavor, I was like, okay, Like, I don't know
where this came from, but I was excited about it,
and I knew that it was an opportunity for me.

(04:11):
I knew it could be like a one and done
depending on how I came to the partnership, or this
could be a long lasting relationship for me. And right
I ended up doing was making sure before I signed
anything that they knew that I wanted to really be
a true partner. I wanted to be a part of
the creative. I wanted to make sure. I was a
part of how this flavor tasted. Like I literally flew

(04:33):
to Chicago to go to the lab and like like
a little chemist, I had a laugh.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
With my little lab.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Called on and I was mixing it all up, and
I was like, it needs more, you know, it needs
more carbonation, it needs more sweet. It's too sweet. I
don't know if it's speachy enough. Like I literally was
so hands on. And then I took it a step
further and I went to New York. I believe the
factories in Rochester and I met all the workers and
I saw her everything was made and you know, watching

(05:01):
everything come down the belt. Like for me, I feel
like to be a true partner and to be able
to elevate within a partnership and create other opportunities. Within
an opportunity, you have to have all hands on deck
and you have to really show up.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
And that's what I did.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
And with that said Tanya, Now not only did I
do I have my signature flavor, the peach ballini, which
is hugely successful.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Is whatever peach ballini.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Which I have tried, it's good, but I didn't I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
We went to your launch and I don't have my
peach anymore. But I still have my Peach Ballini. It's
one of their top flavors.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
And because of my success with the partnership with Seagrams Escapes,
I was able to I ended up becoming their brand
investor with the entire Seagrums Escapes line and it's even better. Okay,
this is how you've got to take advantage of opportunities.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Money movers. Okay, on money movers.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Now, I'm also introducing my second signature flavor, or the
very Mimosas. So you see how one opportunity that could
have been a one off.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
And I because I.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Showed up in a way where I wanted a relationship
with with Segums Escapes, I wanted to make this a
long term situation.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Something with longevity. Yes, and it didn't have to be
that way. And this is really interesting. No, it doesn't
have to be there. And I you know a lot
of people are listening right now, and I think there's
such a there's like the way that social media has evolved,
the way everybody has sort of like has the opportunity
to be brand ambassadors. I want to talk about this
because you know, sometimes people are like, oh, well you're
famous from TV. So you get these deals, but we've

(06:39):
seen so many more ways for people to make income
from their social media moms.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Who are just posting tips.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
But you've sort of now allowed and like what you
said there was really important because you know you can
get a check for just doing a post, right Like
you and I, we get stuff that comes in and
it's like, would you like to post this? I mean
anything from blat Tommy TV to whatever, And so I
think there's a piece of it where you have to
choose stuff that is representative and that you feel connected to.
And this was a great connection for you. And as

(07:06):
you guys are listening, like understand that a lot went
into this. It wasn't like you just took a picture
and put it on your ins. You were understanding how
the process of bottling, how you could put.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Your input in there.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
And that's where I feel like the hard work comes
on top of this where a lot of people can understand,
like when you give back to these brands, it comes
back to you in ways where they're like, she's engaged,
she really wants to be here, she's really building strong
connections with the brand.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
One percent is very important to take an opportunity again
and create other opportunities within opportunities.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Yeap, okay, So I want to know, let's dive into
some of those like impactfable, impactful, and most memorable experiences
with seagrums like you you definitely.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Showed it on the show.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
What other type of activations have you done, Like what
are some of the best memories that you have of
you know, having this drink out there that.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
You're really integral.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Part memory, of course, is actually doing the lunch on
the Real Housewist of Atlanta because the lunch, because you know,
not only was the lunch usually successful, was also very dramatic.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
My friend, we had a lot of us which it
was so dramatic, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Which was actually good for me because I knew that
that launch was going to be shown on the show,
so I was like, Okay, here we go, and this
is how the reality TV world works. But I think
one of the things that I'm most excited about is
the fact that we were here.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I actually hold on, I have to interrupt you because guys,
and she says it was dramatic. It was one of
those jaw dropping episodes like I feel like this is
where Nini getting back and like you know, me on
the show, my mouth is open the whole time. I
just it was like every second you're like, oh.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
But yeah, yes, oh.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
But what I also loved about it was it was
you know, I love everything West Indian and the food
was so good. Like Cynthia, you really put on a
show like it's a big deal to orchestrate these events
per on national television.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
It was a great absolutely like I wanted, Like Seagrums,
Escapes is all about, like you know, just celebrating, like
you know, a great way to decompress, having a good time.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
So the thing for me, I wanted to be like, hey, you're.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
You're on an island, like you're you know, you're escaping
to like you know, just having fun and just being
able to relax and you know, reboot and all that
good stuff.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Like we even had sand on the floor. I think
that sand stayed on the floor for days, like I
could never it was great, but it was great. But yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
So But one of the other things, outside of the
opportunity to really use my platform of Real Housewives to
actually launch my signature Peachful Lady, was the fact that
once I became a true part with Seagrams, we were
able to do more women empowerment events together, which is
something that's incredibly important to me.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
We would actually do, you know, before the pandemic, we
would go on these tours and we would speak.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
You know. At first, we started with.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Me telling my story, you know, and letting people, you know,
benefit from the inspiration from how I got started. And
then I said, you know what, I've told the story
a million times. Let's how about this when we go
to different cities, Let's like find five of the women
in those cities where they can share their stories as well,
and I can just moderate because I mean, how many
times can I tell my story? So I love that

(10:19):
we were able to include that. And the other thing
that I'm super passionate about is supporting black owned businesses.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
So we actually got together and created.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
A Seagrum's Escapes Black Owned Business marketplace where we would
not only list all the amazing black owned businesses, where
you can just go and find you know, you know,
the businesses and figure out how to support them.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
And that was something that I'm proud of because I
know how difficult it is to own, you know it is.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
And just people always say, you know, well, you have
so much exposure and this is just such a beautiful
way where you're using sort of your exposure to help others,
and it's so meaningful like those they trickle down in
such impactful ways for those small businesses.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
So that's kudos, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
You know, it means a lot as an.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Entrepreneur myself, you know, as someone's had who has had
several several businesses. Every you know, every little bit really
really helps. And it's you know, one thing is started
in a business, and then once you get that business started,
you have to actually sustain it, like you have to
figure out how to keep going. Yes, and you know,
the world changes, like a lot of things happened during COVID.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
You know, COVID was interesting.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
It was interesting because it not only did people go
out of business, a lot of entrepreneurs were born during
during COVID.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
So it was like good, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
It was great because I do feel like it gave
a lot of people the freedom to like bat on
their names because we were locked up, you know, and
they you know, when you're sort of forced into this
lockup where you're like, okay, I got time now am
I going to work on my dreams? I call it
like the dreamers of the dilemma? Am I going to
keep working on someone else's stream? So it was the
silver lining to a lot of it for sure. Yes,
