Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey everyone, I'm Devin Simone.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
And I'm Tory Deal and this is MTV's official Challenge podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Whoa, whoa.

Speaker 4 (00:08):
This was an episode. I mean, they've all been episodes,
both literally and figuratively, but this is the first time
we got to see an individual's game and I feel
like everyone, you know, there was a spotlight on everybody
this episode.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
How did you feel watching it back?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Oh my gosh, I mean this was I knew this
episode was coming. I was excited for it. And also,
you know, we had this big shift in the game
just the week prior, so it was like, who is
going to either put up or shut up right now?
Like no more hiding behind your team's competition, Like do
you have what it takes on an individual level to
prove your strength in this game? And so, dude, the

(00:45):
fact that Bananas and I came out on top, like
we were like wow, just a couple of weeks ago,
we were on the very bottom.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
So this is big.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
I mean, but not that you just came out on top.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Let's just go.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
When put in an end visual challenge, right, because there's
been some debates sometimes about like whether or not there
could be a sole female winner, right, even when competing
against males, ma'am, you beat everyone. There was almost a
time differential of six minutes. Now, I know Bananas is

(01:18):
old and West they're old. But Bananas also said he
had like what it open sea water scuba diving certification
class he teaches or something. I don't know, but he's
well bursted in it and you crushed it. Like, wow,
props to you. That is phenomenal. How did that feel?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
It felt really good?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
You know, I think that like exactly, we do have
those debates, like as an individual, you know, we are
competitive and of course, like men and women are playing together,
but you know, when it push comes to shove, like
can a woman beat a guy?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
And like there are moments when that does.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Happen, and there are obviously moments when the men beat
the girls too, but this is one of the ones
that we can celebrate, like for all the women out there,
like this felt it did feel a little bit bigger
than me.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Obviously this is just a daily challenge, but it was
a big one.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
It was a huge one, and shout out to you.
So just for a quick breakdown of all the goodness
that went out in this episode. So the daily was
the spell Lunkers Underwater Puzzle, which was brilliant, crazy and
sadistic all at the same time. The winners were Tory
and Bananas. It became really close between Bananas and Josh,
which was also very very interesting and props to Josh

(02:23):
on that. But Bananas came out on top of the guys.
Tory came out on top of everybody. Then we got
to voting and the winners Tory and Bananas voted in
the lovers Alyssa s and Tyler. Then the hopper selected Manty.
The elimination was Monty versus Tyler, which is kind of
like its own Romeo and Juliet in the way because
they're besties. I mean, Monty studied Tyler's game before going

(02:46):
into Big Brother. They were super close in each other's
number ones in this game. Then for the elimination, we
had Too Cool for Spool love that name Producer's Good
Job guys, where they have to balance the balls while
tied to a spool. The winner was tied, but it
was a long thought game. I'm talking what almost three hours.
Monty goes home. Some standout moments from the episode, right,

(03:08):
We had the first individual game of the season, the
Vets showed the reason why they were bets, and we're
gonna talk about it in this interview today. But the
Vets sweep the first individual challenge. Tory takes home that
big win.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
We get to see Tyler and Alyssa's love for one another.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
We learned that Tory's middle name is Patricia, But if
you've been listening to the podcast, you actually knew that
because we've talked about it on an episode.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
See, you're ahead of the game.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
If you listen to the official podcast, you'll be like,
I already knew that. And then this crazy elimination. Yeah,
what were some of the standout moments for you?

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Oh my god?

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I mean listen, like, if we're gonna talk gold Star, like,
what I will say is I gotta give it to Tyler,
because not only was he thrown up into like obviously
on my hands.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Okay, you know, sorry Tyler, but he took it like
a champ. Yes he did.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
He He literally swept a lot off her feet and
was like, you know what, I don't even want a
girl to get balls.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Put all the balls on the guys.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Let's make it a guy's day and I'll just go
down there and handle business.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Like talk about talk about, Yeah, they have so much respect,
I mean, so so much respect, and just how united
they are too, because Alissa was great coming for you,
and look, I don't blame her.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
I don't you were messing with her, man, you know,
I totally don't blame her. And she rallied the troops
and was effective with it, so I don't blame her
for that. And also I feel like this I talk
about how much I love this season so much because
it gives you all the feels like you're both happy, excited,
said biting your teeth.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
It's all the things.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Seeing Mikayla getting the respect she deserves, like when Johnny
called her dangerous. I am so happy that we get
to see this showing for Mikayla, see how feer she
is because she got done so dirty on her first
season of The Challenge. I've never looked at a pencil
the same way. She probably hasn't either, if you're a

(05:00):
true Challenger, you know what I'm talking about. But I
love just getting to see that respect and all the
strong women that we have in the house, like doctor
Desi Chanelle as well, like they just seem so focused
and confident and I really love seeing that. Now, before
I get to my gold star, though, I'm actually gonna
start with my time out of the week, someone who
seemed a little less focused and confident. Really it just

(05:22):
didn't the math wasn't mathing. So we see Alyssa Sart
crying to Tyler because she says something along the lines
of it's hard to navigate a game where people are
just lying all the time, like, oh my god, they're lying.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
And I don't know, ma'am.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Weren't you on a show called Big Brother I did
that requires no physical prowess but is literally all about
scheming and two facing and backstabbing and twisting. So how
are you crying now? You can't be crying about people
scheming on the challenge. You came from a schemer show.

(05:59):
You are a schemer. You are selected out of one
hundred thousand schemers who audition for that show at the
top steamer, So you can't be over here crying because
they're scheming. It didn't make any sense. So she gets
my time out for that because that just didn't make sense.
That didn't track for me at all.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Well, listen, like, I think she's feeling the heat now, right,
like she recognizes she is the only female Big Brother
player in the.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
House left, she got out schemed.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
She her that feeling is heavy.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
She realizes like her friends are gone and Alyssa is
a sweetheart, like she really is, like yeah, and this
is nothing personal, no for sure, not yeah, for sure not.
You know, so I think that like it just kind
of hit her, like she was like, you know, oh
my gosh, like who who am I gonna?

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Who am I gonna? What girls am I gonna rock with?
Like you do feel a sense of like loneliness in
a way, you know. I feel like with.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Big Brother and tell me if I'm wrong, all right,
Big Brother people, you can DM me, but don't come
for me.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I'm just asking questions.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
I feel like with Big Brother, you want to be
a good mental player, right, And they're definitely some scheming involved.
There's politics e means literally show about like politics in
a way, right, But you don't necessarily have to like
back much of up because there's no you know, the
competitions are more just games and fun and whatever. You
don't have to back it up. And I feel like
the Survivor girls, there's like a little bit of scheming,

(07:11):
but just the stuff they put themselves through in doing
Survivor as a whole. I mean being able to make
solid decisions when you haven't eaten. Well, I don't know
about you, but I don't make decisions if I'm tired
or hungry or just if I'm uncomfortable or hot, because
I'm a totally different person. So I feel like they
maybe have a little more competence isn't the word, but
almost like a note, like a little a little more yeah,

(07:34):
like a little more edge. And so maybe she felt
feels a little.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
I I totally agree, and LIKELYSA like hasn't really had
the opportunity to show her m hm, her competitive stress.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
We have seen her in moments shine right, Yeah, but
we haven't seen her stand out alone and shine. And
so I think that, like, Okay, not only is she
the last big brother or girl, she's now stripped from
the team and now.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
She's an individual player.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
So I think that you know, it is it is
tricky and like you said, big brother relies on friendships
and now looking around, there is no politicking, it's just competing.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
So that makes sense. Good point Good, She's.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Gonna have to like rely on something that you know,
she's a learning for the first time.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Can she do her? Can she not do so?

Speaker 2 (08:18):
But like listen, she won, she won her her heat
for the girl she'd be Cassidy, and Cassidy had her
on cats.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Wait, yes, I do think Casside. Did you guys see
that look of regret on Cassidy's face? And well, who
was it that said that? She kind of looked over
and was like with big puppy dog eyes. Yet she
didn't share or give any Cassy so yeah, that she
didn't give any hints to her word when she got
it the first time.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
But somebody else.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
Who didn't give any hints was the little snake who
snuck into the water.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
You might know her as Tori and Patricia Victoria Patricia.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
So she managed when she figured it out, go back
and replay. When she figures out that the word is dance,
she literally tiptoed like that little bandit in those old
cartoons where it's like he's black and white. I don't
know his name, but she literally like tiptoes backwards into water.
He's like say, and he just swims off.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
There's nothing to anybody else.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Like nothing, Well you know what, listen, like I learned
in this Gabe, and I actually credit to Nanni.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Shout out to Nanni.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
But like what she did in Double Agents, there was
this challenge where she had to find something in the mud,
and when you found it, you had to sneak it
out of the mud because if not, people could rip
it out of her hands. And she picks it up
and she goes, I found it, and everyone looks at
her like a hyena, like when you figure something out
would do.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
It's an internal celebration, you know, And so I felt
the excitement. I felt like screaming it out loud, but like,
of course, that's not gonna help me right now. And
the truth is I would have absolutely helped Wes if
I had to give the I swear, I would have.
But the way Wes left us on Cats I was
not made me sketched out like.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
He I remember, you guys, their heat was the heat
that collectively they go in saying we're going to help
each other, we're gonna show yet they managed to be
the only heat that didn't help anyone in it all right,
just shady and this is why we're sketch balls.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Mm hmm. Some people side eye Tory respect and you know, what.
I couldn't even fake it in that moment. That is
my authentic self.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
That is just I owns it, and you got the
time to show to prove it.

Speaker 7 (10:29):
I mean, just like friendship doesn't matter right now, Oh
it didn't, you know, but listen, like everybody in my heat,
let's put it like this, I won, and Banana's one,
and everybody in my heat was safe.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
West didn't get his name up, Sebastian didn't get his
name up. Michelle didn't get her name up. Okay, question,
I have a question. Now.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
I'm curious if Anissa was in that heat with you.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Oh I've been like, niecy, let's go, we got it.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Okay, Okay, he'd be like, okay, I just wanted to
know because you said throw it for I just wanted
to know.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Let's go okay, But you know what she might have.
She might have beat me on the swim back. She's
a good swimmer, dude, she's a good swim So I
don't know, I might have.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
Might she would have Jordan was in the heat with you.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Hell no, hell really?

Speaker 5 (11:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Because okay wait no, he's a guy. Yeah, I probably
would have. That's what I was.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Yeah, like well, because listen, I still have this thing
with Jordan obviously, like he's one of the greatest to
ever do it. So there's a part of me that
always wants to beat him, you know, like the contitor
that's fair to him.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
So that's fair. But yeah, I mean lessen when push
comes to shop.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Of course, I love my friends, but you know, and
Michelle was great too, Like I said, the whole point
was to win and to keep your friends safe, and like, yeah,
obviously a certain dominance like this was such a major
major shift in the game. Like listen, everybody watching it
knows you see all the girls on the board. Deasy
is a beast. Mikhayla I already had to fighter on
the truck.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
I'm not trying to do that again.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
And Chanel listen, like we haven't really seen her up
to this point, like stand out alone, but you can
see she breathes got ower, you can see it. And
I'm not saying n Cassidy's not strong. I'm not saying
that Michelle's not strong, and I'm not saying that Alyssa's
not strong. I'm just saying, if I had to put
my money on any of them, I'm putting it on
the girls that I just named, So that was my
opportunity to kind of like leverage. Michelle already had leverage

(12:17):
with the Survivor girls. She doesn't need it.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
I need yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
And I feel like your strategy at this point too,
because they've seen they've been coming after you for a
good person of the season and because of your reputation,
you now almost have to lean into I feel like
what the Laurel strategy used to be, sort of the intimidation,
like you almost have to stand firm in that, be
careful if you come at me, vibe because if they
see any weakness there, one hundred percent going to come

(12:42):
after you because they do ultimately want you gone and
don't want to go against you in a final. But
if you continue to dominate, then it just makes them
second get you know, in this little alliance you'd be created,
It just makes them second guess coming after you because
it goes all right, if we fire shots and she
survives again, do I want her coming after me? And
the answer is no, So right right right, I think

(13:04):
you're playing it smart. My gold star of this week,
so we gave my time out to Alyssa. I think
my gold Star certainly would have to be a Tyler
like close to Tyler. I really do love the way
that he stood up for Alyssa and he just dominated
that elimination and did a really good job too. And
then honorable mention is you because I think that time

(13:25):
that like blowing everybody out.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Of the water like that is pretty phenomenal. Thank you,
thank you.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Yeah, I definitely agree Tyler gets a gold Star, though
you don't win an elimination like that that takes three
hours and pretty much vote yourself into it.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Yeah, to save your woman. Yeah, Like that's gold Star
energy all day. Like you get a gold Star for
a few episodes just because of this.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
One now, Like, yeah, that's actually really brave, that's strong.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yeah, And I'd say I have to give my time
out to the life vest that we had to wear
as we were pulling ourselves down the water, because that.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Shit was so hard. I don't think people understand how
hard that was.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
It's one thing to pull yourself underwater without a life
vest on. It's another thing to do it when you're
wearing a wetsuit and you're wearing a life fest You
are so buoyant, You're not only fighting just getting yourself
down there. You're now fighting the pressure that's trying to
get you up. So my timeout goes to the Life Vest.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
I mean it sounds like the Lifevest was just doing
their job. Shout out to the life Vests, right, whatever
brand that was. They work, They do their job, they do.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
Their face.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
Someone else who's doing their job.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Us.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
We have an amazing interview with the fabulous Manty and
ooh we learned we get to see well, y'all don't
get to see it because its not on video, but
we get to learn so much about Monty. You guys
are really going to enjoy this interview. We ask him
about what the secret is to the rookies this season,
how he prepared, what his mama told him before going

(14:52):
on these shows, what life has been like since, whether.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Or not he's single.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
We asked for you guys, as well as things that
were going on in the house and a secret fight
that we didn't get to see. So we have a
lot of good stuff. You are not going to want
to miss it at all. Grab a snack, take us
with you, Wash your hands and be nice to your
family and tune in to this fabulous interview with Monty

(15:17):
from Big Brother right after this.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
This person is six ' four coming in at two
hundred and thirty five pounds.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
He was the runner up on Big Brother twenty four.
Welcome Manti Taylor.

Speaker 8 (15:40):
Oh thank you. What an introduction, My god, Tory. I
really appreciate it. Appreciate being here, and let's have some
fun today.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Yes, thank you.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
We're so excited to have you. I mean, like, I
can't wait to get into this episode. I have some questions,
and I know Devin definitely does I know.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Why I got to play me like that, Like I
ask all the good questions you did, Monty, as as
we told you before, but just remind you don't overthink it,
just overshare and then you're good on the.

Speaker 8 (16:07):
Potat Okay, Okay, I feel like y'all gonna give me
answer the trouble.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
I can feel it already.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
It's a safe space here. We just want to know
all the behind the scenes, all the things everything, that's
all we're curious.

Speaker 8 (16:19):
Okay, all right, all right, I'll see what I got
answers for sure.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Oh good.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
And there's a lot to get into in this episode.
But before we get into that insanely long elimination, let's
talk about how the game just went from working in
teams and now as an individual game.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
How are you feeling going into this next type of challenge?

Speaker 8 (16:39):
Yeah, I mean for me, I really like depending on
my own self, right, Like I'm the type of person
that's structured at home. Yes, I have a team of
people that may help me here and there, but like
I'm the type that's gonna look in the mirror and
be like it's me versus me, you know, like that's
that's my type of energy. And I also felt like
the teams was making things a bit more convoluted when

(17:01):
it came to like who people were working.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
With, because if it was individual from the.

Speaker 8 (17:05):
Jump, like, I just think that there would have been
a lot more of a chance to diversify who you
work with versus like kind of being pigeonholed to your team.

Speaker 5 (17:13):
So yeah, so I was excited. I was ready to go.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
In this episode, Manti, we see you talk about sort
of your admiration your friendship with Tyler and how when
you were going on Big Brother, you prepared by studying
Tyler's game and then you found out when you got
that call that you were going on the challenge. First,
had you seen episodes of the show before, and then second,
whether you had or hadn't, who was the person or

(17:40):
the people that you were watching most to study and
emulate their game.

Speaker 8 (17:44):
Yeah, so I had seen seasons of the Challenge before.
I think I'd seen like maybe four or five couple
with toy on there. So I was familiar with Tori's game.
I knew how much of a bad as you was
coming into it.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
Aren't you trying to suck up to her on the podcasting.

Speaker 9 (17:59):
This I'm doing this now about the rest of the podcast.
You know what my heart is.

Speaker 8 (18:10):
But but yeah, so going into the game, I don't
think I tried to emulate my game after anybody.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
I was more concerned with people than anything.

Speaker 8 (18:18):
I was definitely concerned, like I had studied how people
had played the games and their their reputations. So for me,
Wes was a big one where I was like, Oh,
his reputation is somebody who can manipulated, who can convinced
people to.

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Do certain things.

Speaker 8 (18:31):
So I just had, you know, like a little bit
of a radar up for him. But then I also
knew about Corey's game. I knew that he hadn't necessarily
been someone who had been like completely ingratiated in that,
like in the challenge, that's at least the group that
had come in. So I always knew that, like, yo,
he's trying to he's trying to get his win. He's
probably open to working with different people. So early I was,

(18:54):
you know, connecting with with Corey to make sure that
we weren't targeting each other.

Speaker 5 (18:57):
So that's sort of my approach.

Speaker 8 (18:59):
But I don't think I tried to emulate my game
after anybody, just with the circumstances, I think it was impossible.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Yeah, Tyler's psycho analyzing everybody. Sorry, no, it's okay. He
was just like, you're just psycho analy You're like, okay,
Tory likes to date people on the show, so keep
that in mind.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
And then yes, I couldn't.

Speaker 5 (19:17):
Look, I couldn't. I could have tried something, but I
did not good boy. I was being a real good
boy on the show.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
Well bring it back that just here were those thoughts
that were going through Monty's mind. At some point, did
sabash and pull off the ultimate sea block?

Speaker 5 (19:35):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Wait, I do have some good behind the scenes, because wasn't.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
There a time when Michelle was flirting with you Monty
and trying to like get with you. Yeah, okay, so
you you did you you really were not trying to
like politic this season because.

Speaker 8 (19:54):
You Yeah, yeah, I really was trying to be a
good boy. I swear I was. You know, my mother
before my season a Big Brother. She told me before
I left, she was like, no cheecus. So my mom's
Puerto Rican so she was like, no girls. And I
told him I did not adhere to those the same.
So I was like, all right, going into this, I'm
going to try to be a good boy. I'm going

(20:14):
to try to be you know, like nice and respectful,
and I go across those lines, and I just think
it makes things more complicated when it comes to the game.

Speaker 5 (20:21):
So yeah, I kept it in my pants totally.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
And you just had a love affair with your buddy Tyler.

Speaker 8 (20:30):
Me and my boy Tyler. Yeah, yeah, we were thick
as thieves. It was like immediately when we walked into
the house, like we just started talking about Big Brother
and then we were in the same room. I don't
think they you know, like we really called our room
to zen Den because it was me, Tyler, Sea Bass
and Lewis and we were the cleanest guys, the most
chill guys. Anytime you came into our room, you just

(20:50):
knew your energy was going to go to another place,
you know. So so yeah, the Zen Den was where
it was at for sure.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
Did the dynamics change in this end in it all
when you guys found out it was going to be
an individual game. Now, like now that this sort of
team thing has shifted, especially with you and Tyler, was
it still kind of like we're still in this alliance,
We're still on the same team quote unquote, even though
you aren't or was there a little you know, you
mentioned kind of like not trusting anyone in the game

(21:19):
or you know, just haven't like did some of that
kick in for you?

Speaker 5 (21:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (21:22):
I mean I think the dynamics changed in the Zen
then once we figured out that there were teams, Yeah,
like because our room was filled with mostly green so me,
Lewis and Tyler, but then Sea Bass was on the
blue team, right, so we thought we could maybe leverage
that we're in the same room. And I remember that
there was one vote where Sea Bass looked me in

(21:43):
my eyes it was like, Manty, I promise you I'm
not voting for your brother, Like there's no chance in
hell that I'm voting for you. And then right after
the vote, he's like, Manti, I'm sorry I had to
vote for you, and I was I was like, what
the hell is.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
Happening right now? Bro? Like we just had this home.

Speaker 8 (21:57):
So me and Tyler like had a whole conversation with
him about it. We were just like, yeah, what what's going.

Speaker 5 (22:02):
On right now? But you know he may have been
influenced by us, truly, so.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Toy to talk about you. Well, see, that is the
power of politicing, my friend.

Speaker 8 (22:15):
Yeah, now I've learned that aspect. You need to add
it to my game.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
You know, it's termed for a reason.

Speaker 8 (22:22):
Okay, I remember when they asked me going into the house,
are you going to politic or politic? And I was like,
what are y'all talking? I've never heard of that term before,
But now I'm more too familiar.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, yeah, well I listen.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
It's helpful and it's not because like then again, we
see that in this episode where you see Alyssa and
obviously you know, even though Bananas and I did throw
up Alyssa and Tyler and you know it didn't it
doesn't feel good to do that but now you know,
you have this Romeo and Juliet story of like, you know,
these lovers that are tormented by the fact that they

(22:54):
have to endure this being voted up for elimination together
and you witness at being friends with both of them.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
So like, what was that like on your side?

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Like, how did you feel when you saw both of
their names be nominated?

Speaker 8 (23:07):
Yeah, I mean it was it was worst case scenario.
And I think because I already kind of saw the
writing on the wall with where the votes would go
after they were nominated, or at least when Tyler was nominated,
because we're just the easiest options that are left. Right
there's only three of the Big brother Corps members there.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
You know, you got Fests and you got Josh, but.

Speaker 8 (23:28):
They were way more tied in with the challenge best
than they were with Big Brothers. So I kind of
felt like, yo, once he's nominated, then there's a high
likelihood that I'm.

Speaker 5 (23:36):
Going to catch a couple of balls.

Speaker 8 (23:37):
But I was like, look, the hopper has been on
my side, so if I could just try to politic
and stack as many balls up against someone else, namely
one person, and that was Sea Bass.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
You know, we kind of rallied around that same vote.

Speaker 8 (23:50):
We had talked to Corey, we talked to Josh, we
talked to West. Although West still voted for Cassidy. You know,
like we pulled together as many numbers as we possibly could.
So I felt proud about at least a social game
that I played going out.

Speaker 5 (24:04):
And I just think that at some point the hopper
is going to get your ball.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
So did you know the reason why? Because it looked
as a viewer, it looked like Alyssa was really championing
the whole putting in Sea Bass right because she was
trying to get Torri back.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Which can I just.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
Say again, I feel like we are missing out as
viewers on a lot of whatever's happening between this Tory
Ascian for a Sabori relationship.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Both bad combination.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
But I feel like I feel like because it seems
that the consensus in the house as everyone recognizes just
how loved up they are, but yet we're not seeing
as much of it as we are, say, like the
Alyssa and Tyler love the Fair and I think it Listen,
Tyler look really cute together. But did you know Monty
when you said you were trying to rally to get
them to go for Sebastian because you figured some people

(24:57):
would be going for you. Did you know that there
was this underlying thing of like trying to get back
at Tory by putting in her bow or were you
just going for Sebastian because he had voted for you before,
or like what was your insight in that moment?

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Oh? Yeah, I knew.

Speaker 8 (25:11):
I definitely knew that Tyler and a listen were trying
to get back at the other showman's in the house,
you know that being Toy and Sea best.

Speaker 5 (25:18):
But that wasn't like my personal mode, and you know,
I could right get two.

Speaker 8 (25:21):
Ships, you know, like I just wanted to put as
many balls on one person as possible to decrease my
chances of going in.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
So but yeah, we talked about it.

Speaker 8 (25:29):
We were like, oh, yeah, this is this will be
a nice little bit of payback for Tyler and a
listener to get back and see.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
That and Toy and Toy you have a smirk on
your face. How did you feel putting in two lovers.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
And why was that? Ultimately?

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Can you walk because like I understood but didn't fully understand.
Why did you and Bananas? I know you didn't want
to go after the strong girls, right, Like you kind
of made this alliance just smart, thinking of, hey, yeah,
you know, we won't go for Survivor. It seemed like
Bananas was more flexible in who he was willing to
put in initially, Like, what were all the reasons of
why you felt it had to be Tyler and Alyssa?

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Yeah, so I had I was really picking the girl.
That was my big decision to make sure that, you know,
I wanted to work with Shanelle, I wanted to work
with Michaela.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
I wanted to work with DESI.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
I kind of looked at the challenge and I was like,
all right, well, all these girls won their heat. Maybe
in the future they're gonna win, you know, obviously this
is the obvious gameplay.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
So then we're really.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Left with Cassidy on the table, Michelle, and Alyssa. And
I wasn't gonna throw Michelle in because there is this
unspoken thing we've done seasons together. So then it kind
of dwindled down to Cassidy.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
And Alyssa for me, and I sleep next to Cassidy.
She's in my room, you know, and so there is this.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
You know, discomfort with voting in somebody you sleep next to.
So I do think that the betting, and I had
also been getting close with her, We had been she
picked me to be on Blue team, so I Bananas
was interested in putting in Cassidy over Alyssa, but I
really was the pushback on that. And then when it
came for the time for the guy's vote, I kind

(27:03):
of let him make the decision on which way he
wanted to go. So I really held my ground so
that way I didn't have to throw in Cassidy.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
That's kind of what it came down to.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
And to Banana say why he strongly felt because I
heard Montes, we heard Nanty's name come up in deliberation
at one point, why did Bananas.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Say he strongly felt Tyler?

Speaker 2 (27:22):
So the week prior we had said Tyler's name and
he was nominated, and so I think that was it,
Like you don't want to say too many names, and
then now you have multiple enemies. It's kind of like
and Monty and I had had conversations before going into it.
He was like, if you look at for me, I'll
look out for you. So I also knew in the
back of my mind, like all right, well, if I
don't say his name again, I think there will come

(27:43):
a time when he'll be able to have my back.
So I think for both of us we were like,
this isn't exactly ideal, Like we don't want to be
petty and throw in lovers.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
That doesn't feel great.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
But what I did love about this is it really
showed how great of a person Tyler was. It did
because he was like, I'm going to take it on.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
The chin for my woman. I'm like that, yeah, expecting
that at all.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Yeah, So this situation gave him the opportunity to like
really shine and show his character, and I thought, like
that was it was really cool to see somebody handle
it like.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
That, Yeah, because hair were glowing.

Speaker 8 (28:17):
As they always got, like yeah, like Tyler, like for me,
that was his initial reaction when he got nominated. He
was like, yo, like, let's just make sure that Alyssa
doesn't go down. And we both felt the same way
because we had both been tight with a LISTA since
you know, the beginning, and we're both a part of
that core big brother alion. So it was just like
that made the most sense. But he was willing to

(28:38):
go against anybody. He was like, yo, y'all throw in
whoever y'all want, Like, I'm willing to fight up against
him to make sure that she doesn't go down. So
I was like, I respect that, and that's what made
me even want to fight harder to get those votes
on whoever else we could possibly get them on.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
Right right, I mean shout out to Tyler for sure. Yeah,
Monty coming in. So let's take it all the way
back really quick. Did you watch USA one at all,
tiw did you say?

Speaker 8 (29:04):
What?

Speaker 1 (29:04):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (29:04):
All right, there's a big difference between USA one and
USA two. Let me just say USA two is just
rocking it. And part of that is the rookies that
have come in this time. Now, granted USA one they
were all rookies because there were no Challenge vets, but
still it was a little little it was. I mean,
go watch it, y'all if you haven't seen it, but
you'll see what I mean by the difference USA two.

(29:26):
What stands out about this season, even with all the
other challenge seasons, you know, sort of the flagship is
how organized and how quickly they became organized, the rookies
coming into this season, and how steadbass and firm you
have bet you guys have been in your decision making.
This is when we kind of had teams right like
and even across teams because it really didn't matter still

(29:49):
who was on what teams. It was very much rookies
versus everybody else, and it was so impressive. It's been impressive.
I mean, granted, the Vets have been like the cockroaches
that won't die because their bets for a reason, Like,
you know, they're tough. My girl showed up six minutes
better than everybody else in the Swim Challenge today, like

(30:10):
their bets for a reason. But but you guys have,
like really just it seems like you guys as rookies
have been able to get it done in a way
that no other group of rookies really has been able
to do.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
In the past.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
What do you think if you can think back to
your first weeks when you get into the Challenge house,
what do you think really was the secret sauce to
how powerful you guys were in making money moves and
targeting the Vets early on.

Speaker 8 (30:38):
Yeah, I mean, I just think about everybody who's come
into this season, Like when you think about the rookies,
you know, I humbly came in second place in my season.
So to Tyler, you have a lot of sharp, strategic
people who are coming in. So honestly, I just think
that it was a great job by the folks over
at Casting to put this group together.

Speaker 5 (30:59):
I don't know we.

Speaker 8 (31:00):
Came in thinking anything differently. I think it was just
sort of innate in us that like, yo, like, if
we're gonna come into a game, we're gonna come to win,
and we're gonna strategize.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
To do so. So I don't know.

Speaker 8 (31:11):
I don't know if there was any sort of secret
sauce that I can give to anybody, but to just
think like yo, like just strategize, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
That's diffact.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
I feel like you're holding it close to your chest.

Speaker 4 (31:21):
We already know that you psychoanalyze and watch back where
you go to games. I feel like you're just trying
to get the next season. I feel like that's what's
happening right now. But true shout out to Casting because
they did. This is a spectacular season. I don't know
who wins. I've avoided all spoilers, but it is. It
is just mind blowingly so good and it's it feels

(31:42):
like real competition on all sides, right, Like everybody's kind
of fighting for their spot, which is really really amazing.
One other thing before we get back to this particular episode.
A few episodes back, there was a thing where you
were up against Tori and Bananas. It was you and Michaela,
and they were sabotaging, y'all, and it got real feisty,
it got a little spicy. Can you remind me exactly

(32:05):
when you the moment you realized that they were gonna
sabotage that, Yes, tell us how you were feeling and
just how bad did you want to punch bananas in
that sort.

Speaker 8 (32:16):
Well, the thing is, I got my blows in on
bananas and we talked about it right after. Because I
don't even know if you saw, because I know you
and Michaela. I thought it was worse between the two, y'all.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
There was hair pulling on that side. That was wild.

Speaker 8 (32:28):
Yeah, when ladies fight, it's different, y'all. It's different like
the guys. You know, we go shoulder to shoulder, we
do whatever. I saw Michaela kicking, you know, I.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Saw ye pulling hair.

Speaker 5 (32:40):
Yes, I don't want to be on that side.

Speaker 8 (32:45):
What's so crazy is that, like as you're getting into
the challenge. I can kind of I can see this
look on like Torian Banana's face. They keep looking at
each other like yeah, like like like nod in their head,
and I already know that they're down. So I'm like,
I mean, I feel like there's probably going to be
more defense played here than usual. But the point where
both of them decided or was it was it just

(33:07):
Bananas or was.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
It YouTube toy I tried to do it. I just failed,
so it just wasn't as cool.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
Only too so we get humbled every day. It's okay,
we're good.

Speaker 8 (33:19):
So when Bananas just trucks his disc out at that moment,
like we were talking so much shit back and forth,
and then when we were going at it, I think
I like, at some point I didn't even care about
the disc I just literally just wanted to affect as
much pain Bananas as possible.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
So that's another thing.

Speaker 8 (33:40):
And then on top of that too, like I felt
like I had something to prove because I had dislocated
my shoulder earlier in the season, like Tori saw that,
and for me, like a lot of people were thinking, like, oh, well,
Monty might be a little bit compromised because you know,
he's dealing with the shoulder thing. So I was very
intentional about ramming into him with my shoulder to let
him know like yeah, we hear.

Speaker 5 (34:01):
A big dog.

Speaker 8 (34:02):
So and there was a whole fight afterwards. Oh my god,
like wait ten.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
Minutes, I think, wait, there was a whole fight out
wait wait wait wait wait wait, remember what we said,
don't overthinking overshare. Okay, now go into the fight. So
is this after you guys get down that you guys are.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Fighting, We're still hanging on the truil in the air,
might streaming at each other.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
Yeah, may.

Speaker 8 (34:25):
Even after we had to hug it out so much
because it was just like damn, like we kind of
saw the other side of each other.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (34:33):
Yeah, me and Toy were cool in that moment.

Speaker 8 (34:35):
But like, so the trucks go down this runway and
then we got to drive all the way back.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
So on the drive back, we're just dangling talking so much.
How are you going to sit here and make that
deal with the Red team? But you weren't making the
deal with me.

Speaker 8 (34:48):
So that's me and Bananas and then Toy hareming all
sorts of scene of these at me and stuff.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
Like I was like like I wasn't.

Speaker 8 (34:55):
Ready for you to come at me too, So we're
going like.

Speaker 5 (34:57):
It's like and then Mikayla is over there tall in two.

Speaker 8 (35:00):
But then when we got off of the actual trucks
and we're like lining up to announce who wins and stuff.
I mean, it could have been like a good five
minutes where at least me and Bananas and then Tori
as well, were just just screaming at each other, just screaming.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Well, you know, we were so like we were the
adrenaline was going, you know, and like you know, we
were up there legitimately battling. Like you said, it really
wasn't about getting those things on the wall anymore. It
was about just surviving those three minutes of fighting airborne
on a truck.

Speaker 5 (35:31):
Like the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
It took your adrenaline to a whole new level.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
So I mean, I'm very thankful that after we calmed down,
we were able to hug it out. And also I
think we both agreed, like how cool is it that
we get the opportunity to like express ourselves in that
competitive way but then also tone it back down and
be like, listen, we're still cool. Like it wasn't personal.
It didn't have to be personal. It wasn't personal. It's
only about game, and like, I really respected the way

(35:56):
that we were able to come to, you know, an agreement.

Speaker 4 (35:59):
After that, all right, we have to take a quick break,
but don't worry. We'll be back with more tea, more fun,
and more everything else. Right after this, What do you
think was harder that particular challenge or this week's elimination?

Speaker 5 (36:20):
Oh?

Speaker 8 (36:21):
This Meek's elimination by ten. I mean this elimination was
crazy because I've never done something for such a long
period of time that requires so much energy out of me.
So you guys see that we're attached to the school
with that cable, right, But there's a counterweight that you
have to pull, and I swear at first I thought

(36:43):
it was fine, Like I thought.

Speaker 5 (36:44):
Everything was easy to move. But then you reached this
point where you're like, all right.

Speaker 8 (36:48):
This shit really ain't moving, you know, so you feel
like almost it's either your body weight or at least
seventy five percent of your body weight that you're pulling.
And I still to this day, like have marks on
my waist from harness that I was pulling it. So yeah,
it required a lot of patience, you know. Tyler eventually

(37:08):
we talked about it afterwards. He figured out that once
you cleared out the sand off of the surface, that
made it easier to put together the pyramid folk.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
Oh, interesting, So the sand was making it slip more
slippery for them to like fall off on the you know,
like fall down.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (37:25):
Yeah, So that surface on top of that school it
is sticky, and in my head, initially my dumb ass
were porn sand on top of it to trying to
make it.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Like sand paper. Yeah, yeah, which I kind of get
kind yeah, you got it.

Speaker 8 (37:40):
Yeah, yeah, Like you know, I'm just thinking, engineering wise,
you increase the friction that allows you know, everything to
stay still, right, But that was the exact opposite, Like
the balls themselves were already tacky.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
Enough to stick to that surface, so you just had
the left right.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
It looked like it was insane to watch in person,
and I'm really thankful that you were able to see
the entire duration of it because I cannot.

Speaker 8 (38:02):
Like.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
It was the longest elimination I've ever seen in my life.
Three hours.

Speaker 8 (38:08):
Yeah, yeah, and it was tired. I remember I remember
being because I had my hoodie on. I remember working
so hard that I think there was like steam coming
out of my head because it was cold that night
and I was sweating, and it was just like it
literally looked like I was fuming from doing all that work.

Speaker 5 (38:23):
So yeah, it was crazy.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
I couldn't even imagine standing on the sidelines for three hours.
My behind would have been on the bus. Call me
when they're close, I'll come back and peepe the final.
I can't imagine you two having to do that and
do get out. Did you consider yourself to be a
patient person before.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
Doing that elimination?

Speaker 4 (38:40):
Like where would you say you would have judged yourself
on a one to ten and a patience level.

Speaker 8 (38:45):
I would have said like a nine going into that,
you know, because okay for me, excuse me, I tend
to be a patient person in general, and I just
knew that, Like if I could outlast the other person
in a competition like this, then I feel like I
could come out on top. But it's crazy because me
and Tyler are closer. We're kind of talking to.

Speaker 5 (39:06):
Each other during the elimination and like yo, yo, keep it,
don't quit, bro, Like come on, let's go out with
a fight. Let's make sure.

Speaker 8 (39:13):
So we were kind of egging each other on, and
I'm be real with y'all. At some point, I was like,
I don't know if I can get these damn balls
to stay up. So I was just rooting for somebody
to finish because I was like, I don't know when
this is going to end, Like I might.

Speaker 5 (39:23):
Be doing this until the sun comes up. So it
got down to that point for us.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Yeah, and I bet like there's a sense of relief
that it's over, But ultimately, like, what was the feeling of, Like, Wow,
I just worked for three hours on this thing and
still came up short.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
How did that feel?

Speaker 5 (39:38):
Obviously disappointed?

Speaker 8 (39:39):
You know, like as a competitor, I want to win
everything that I compete in. But there was a little
bit of solace in knowing that my friend was going
back into the house and he was going to be
able to protect another one of my friends and Alissa,
So I felt good at least knowing that that happened.
But as a competitor, I was like, man, my first season,

(40:00):
I wanted to make it to a final, Like I
had all these ideas in my head of where the
season would end out, and to have it cut up
short going against one of my closest homies and it
just it sucked. So it was definitely tough. But at
that point, honestly, I'm kind of glad I didn't go
back in the house story because I would have been
I would have been on one going.

Speaker 5 (40:21):
Back into that house.

Speaker 8 (40:21):
It would have been And I told so many people
that too, because, like I think TJ had even asked, like, Manzi,
how do you feel about getting seven balls? I was like,
I know where all seven of those balls came from.
They're all from Survivor. Like, what are we talking about
right here? Like it's so yeah, And that's when I
was like, the line is drawn in the sand.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah, who would have been your first target? Gry and girl?

Speaker 5 (40:45):
Uh?

Speaker 8 (40:47):
I feel like Chris and Michelle were the two people
I was probably least aligned with the whole entire way
throughout the season.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
Wait, but wasn't Michelle trying to align with you in
the first days of the challenge what y'all were saying earlier?

Speaker 5 (41:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (41:02):
Yeah, but that don't mean nothing, Okay when it comes
to Yeah, Look, look, as much as much as people
want romance, people are here to play a game. And
that's what I respect too, Like, even with tours like
when I saw that, you know, Tory didn't tell Sea
Bass about the damn competition?

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Why can we talk about that?

Speaker 4 (41:19):
I mean, Tory look and I feel like I I
ride for Toy, She's my co host. I also, for
those of you who are true challengers, you've heard my
story about the first time I met Tory in person.
Why I have so much respect and love for that girl.
And I were writing that, but Tory do be doing
some crazy as stuff and when she was like, not
only did she agree with the group her and scheme
and asked West agree that yes, we're gonna figure it

(41:42):
out and share. And then both of them figured it
out and just were like nah, including some clear spashion.
But then when they figured out it was dance. If
you go back and play the tape again, Tory literally
tiptoes off the water.

Speaker 1 (41:57):
She figures it out.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
She didn't even say but she's not like, oh I
she just literally slowly backs up.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
And gets into the water and leaves.

Speaker 4 (42:04):
I'm like, damn, Now I know why so many challengers
get madatory sometimes you.

Speaker 5 (42:10):
See, this is why I can't find love because something
like that.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
Happen to be and you should have don't and shanty.
I have said this before, literally, like going into the
challenge howd's looking for love is like trying to find
I don't know, a vegan omelet and McDonald's.

Speaker 1 (42:27):
It is not a good investment of your time. It
is not. Yeah, it's hard.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
I mean listen, Like even when I was doing it
and I West set the precedent, I just want to
say that first, he keeps me out.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
He skeeps me out. When he did that, I was like, Okay,
well now I feel like I'm flustered. I don't trust anyone.

Speaker 4 (42:45):
She's trying to throw it on West. Yeah, thrown it
all six minutes before anybody else.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
All right, well they should have followed me. They should
have swam after me, you know.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
Like, but listen, like I do agree, Like it's definitely
like you said, Manti, it's it's a place for competition,
it's not for love, and that's that's the beauty of
the show. But it was nice to see Alyssa. Although
like I hated that you left. I was rooting for you,
one because I didn't say your name, and two like
because we were starting to I feel like, build a

(43:15):
close alliance. But it was nice to see Tyler and
Alyssa have their moment together, especially seeing all of like
the just anxiety she was experiencing during that three hour elimination.

Speaker 1 (43:27):
So that you cost yeah, yeah, wait were you scared
Tory though?

Speaker 4 (43:32):
When because true talk like yes, it is beautiful seeing
their love story, like legit, were you at all a
little nervous that, especially since they were united right, It
wasn't just like one person you voted for coming back.
It's like they together were very clearly strong united front.
And we see how Tyler writes for his girl and
basically you took shots at his girl too and him,

(43:55):
so now he's come with the full arsenal. Did you
want to go hide?

Speaker 1 (44:00):
Wasn't feeling great?

Speaker 2 (44:01):
You know, I pulled my trench coat over my face
and went to bed like I who was laying alone
for a little bit there.

Speaker 1 (44:08):
But this is the game, you know, you have to
make decisions. When you win, you have to vote somebody in.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
It's just like it's never I try not to make
it personal, but I understand when people do get upset
because I also get upset sometimes it's just the nature
of it.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
So, you know, I hit for a little bit.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
But after that, like you know, it was like, all right,
on to the next one. Who's gonna win the next week.
Welcome back to this individual game now where the power's
gonna constantly shift. And you know, I guess the goal
was to have more friends than you do enemies. So
I was just hoping that I had made enough friends
with that vote. I was hoping I made more friends
than I made enemy.

Speaker 4 (44:42):
Yeah, and you went after the strong fri mean you
it was smart. You picked the girls who you were
like inevitably they're going to win a daily you know,
or like it's highly likely they're going to write, so
that that totally makes sense. Monty. Now that you're out
of the house, we know your boy, you're riding for
your boy Tyler who or say the top two girls
in order that you would like to see you win

(45:03):
or like to see come out on top for this
season of the Challenge.

Speaker 5 (45:06):
I mean for me, of course, Alyssa, just because we
were always tight.

Speaker 8 (45:10):
I mean we we literally came from the same show together,
you know, so we had a relationship before this season
of the Challenge. But I think Chanelle for me was
probably second. You know, I unfortunately got convinced to vote
for her in a previous episode, and I just did
not feel good about that.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
Actually trying to blame it on other people.

Speaker 5 (45:31):
Oh no, no, no, this is.

Speaker 1 (45:32):
Not big brother.

Speaker 5 (45:33):
I was bamboo.

Speaker 1 (45:34):
You know, you say it with your chest.

Speaker 5 (45:36):
Here I was. I was letting you were bamboo.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
Here was your fire festival.

Speaker 5 (45:43):
Yeah, I was.

Speaker 8 (45:44):
I was taken aback because honestly, like in that game,
you try to make as many decisions to protect yourself,
and I thought I was making a decision to protect myself,
but it woind up not playing to my favorite and
I lost trust with her completely, which I think made
me then lose trust with Mikayla and with the Desi
because they were also tight. So I think that would

(46:05):
be my biggest regret from the whole season.

Speaker 5 (46:07):
But I would say, like a close third.

Speaker 8 (46:10):
I would say Desi two because I watched USA one
the first season.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
Yes, shout out to doctor Desi.

Speaker 8 (46:16):
Yeah, yeah, she did her thing, and to see how
it ended for her that season, Like I really was
for her to come back, you.

Speaker 5 (46:22):
Know, yeah, it was tough for Yeah.

Speaker 4 (46:25):
I think that's another great thing about this season is
getting to see some of these women like Chanelle, who
we've never seen before. Is just killing it, and I
feel like we're definitely going to see big things from her,
but getting to see doctor Dez, like, especially after what happened,
she was probably one of the best players. I think
she could have won USA one, honestly. I think she
had everything needed and the fight in the heart to
do it.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
And to see that strip from her was just so hard.

Speaker 4 (46:48):
So it's amazing to get to see her come back
even stronger and better. I mean we saw her doubting
herself a little earlier in this season, but like she
is just a force to be reckoned with. And then
Mikayla because I don't know if you know this, Manti,
but Mikayla I got done dirty their first season, the
other challenge, I mean dirty to dirt dirt Dirts. I
think it was a setup, a conspiracy, And so to

(47:10):
get to see her come back without a notebook and
be more powerful this time so that she could go
further is also awesome because she is just killing it
and funny and witty and so it's really it's just
great to see these strong women that I think, whatever
happens this season, will become the you know, alongside Torri
like known in a group of really strong, badass challenge

(47:34):
women that you don't you really want to be friends
with and hope they just let you go to a fight.
You don't want to miss them off because you know
that they could take you.

Speaker 5 (47:42):
Oh, I one hundred percent agree.

Speaker 8 (47:44):
Like I've never seen a group of women who are
so calculated but also physical competitors, strategic, emotionally composed, just
like I was like, man, you know, like I definitely
want to be on their good side. And when I
wasn't on their good side, I knew it very quickly,
you know what I mean? Like you could tell you
can sense from that energy, like, oh, michaelin not talking

(48:06):
to me no more about games.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
Oh, they'll let you know, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 4 (48:09):
Monty has finally given it to us, even though we
asked for it two and a half hours ago.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
The secret sauce as to how these.

Speaker 4 (48:15):
Rookies came in and dominated. They are strong, they know
that they can back up the money moves they are making.
They are emotionally composed aka regulated, not flying off the handles,
saying random things and screaming and then getting eliminated relatively
early in the game. I'm not naming anyone in particular.
But they're staying focused, all right.

Speaker 1 (48:36):
They're staying focused.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
They're not getting distracted by Dix and anything else. They
are on it, and I think that is part of
how they've the rookies managed to like knock it out
the park this season. I mean, whatever happens, happens, and
shout out to the Vets for fighting back so well.
I do want to point out too, for people who
are like, oh, people favor the Vets and Da Da da.

(48:59):
In the Today's first Individual Challenge, we did see the
two individuals, and really even the people who came in
the top spot and won their.

Speaker 1 (49:08):
Heats, I think they were almost all that.

Speaker 4 (49:11):
So there's a reason why they've earned their stripes. And
I think the sooner people can just at least acknowledge
that than the happier they will be. You don't know
why people like don't like the Vets.

Speaker 5 (49:23):
I'll tell you what too.

Speaker 8 (49:24):
I think the thing that I learned from from best
like toy and and everybody else while I was in
the house with like, there's like a sixth sense that
you have for these challenges that you cannot teach, you
can only get from experience. So I'm going into these
experiences like just fresh off of adrenaline. Tori's going based

(49:44):
off yeah, yeah, Toy's going based off of something that
she may have seen before, or at least expences that
you've had that have kind of like allowed her to
focus and lock in and think a little bit more strategically,
because there's times where you go in and you're just
like you're just frantic, you don't know.

Speaker 5 (50:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (50:01):
Meanwhile they're over here like, all right, well this is
what we should do, and that's how you can tell
like they would be.

Speaker 5 (50:05):
Leading a lot of our teams in a lot of
these founders.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
So right, I think that's the skill, and you summarize
it so well, Monty. I think that's the skill that
being a part of the challenge fan, which anybody who
does an actual challenge becomes a part of. The more
times you do it, just the more ingrained it is.
But it is the skill that you learn that I
feel like you can't really be taught in any other thing,
which is getting comfortable, really learning to dance with your fear.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
And I recognize that dance is one of.

Speaker 4 (50:32):
The crossword, yes, but because we all have fear, it's
not gonna go away.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
Everybody has fear. It's it's just a part of life.

Speaker 4 (50:41):
But the more you can get familiar with dancing with
that fear, meaning like it comes and instead of getting frantic,
you're like, all right, I don't know what it is,
but I know we're gonna I'm gonna find the beat,
I'm gonna find the rhythm, and we're gonna figure it out.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
And that's the skill the challenge gives you.

Speaker 4 (50:54):
In a very fed up way, mind you, because the
stuff they be coming up with the producers wild, but
having that skills great for life, great for anything, and
the more you have that, that is what makes a bet.
I mean we even see it interestingly this season with
like the Josh and the FeSi, I feel like this
is the most composed we've seen them on seasons, and
Corey then previous seasons they've done, and they've all done

(51:16):
a lot. And it's not just the close up, steely
eyed camera angles that were getting of the shots when
they reference these players in the episode, but it's also
just how they're approaching it. And I think it's their
finally really comfortable dancing with the fear with whatever TJ
throws at them in each episode. Do you feel Manty
that this experience has made you in a way that

(51:37):
maybe Big Brother hadn't comfortable dancing with your fear?

Speaker 8 (51:41):
Oh, I mean, you know a lot of the competitions
that we're doing in Big Brother, anybody could win for
the most part, right, Like not a lot of them
are as physically intensive as the ones here on the
challenge and requiring like so many different layers of strategy
that go into it.

Speaker 5 (51:57):
So yeah, I mean I've done shit on this show
that I've.

Speaker 8 (52:00):
Never even thought about doing. You know now I want
to I want to sky God, you know I want
to do all this. Yeah, yeah, because of this experience.

Speaker 1 (52:08):
So absolutely, And you know, Lord Willing.

Speaker 5 (52:10):
I'll do it again. So we'll be right back at it.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
You'll be back, Monty.

Speaker 4 (52:14):
You'll be back and you'll be scheming, You'll be hiding
the secret sauce again, all those things that you do.
Maybe even we'll see a little politiccking for Monty. I
feel like he has I know, he says he's not
going to and I don't recommend it, but also see
the smile on his face right now, and I feel
like he's not going.

Speaker 5 (52:29):
To be a good boy.

Speaker 1 (52:33):
That phrase right there. Everything to know everything you need
to Let's just say you do it enough, it eventually
becomes a storyline. So it just depends on how how
long and how many.

Speaker 4 (52:44):
Seasons story and they have done it enough, Comman, I'm
gonna challenge you to the next season, the challenge to.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
Not do it.

Speaker 4 (52:50):
That's gonna be you get a bonus reward.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
All right, all right, fine, mom, no fun.

Speaker 5 (52:59):
Very funny girl.

Speaker 1 (53:03):
You know it's it's a good time.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
But regardless of the show, Man's having your presence in
the house was amazing. And you know, the show is
so competitive and like it's fiery.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
There's a lot of adrenaline.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
There's a lot of question marks, but there are a
lot of calm moments that exist in the house that
you don't really get to see. And Mantie will say,
your presence in there. When you left, there was a
feeling of like.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
Oh, like you know, Monty's gone.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
You really did bring a beautiful energy into the house
and like you have a really beautiful way of.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
Politicking and yet still caring about people.

Speaker 2 (53:34):
So I will say that you know, your presence was
missed after you left, and it was a bummer to
see you go.

Speaker 5 (53:39):
Thank you. That means a lot coming from you, Tori
appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (53:42):
That's so special, guys.

Speaker 8 (53:44):
Yeah, I mean you know, like that you are spending
so much time with people. You don't really like quantify
it in the in the moment, but like it's so
much time that you're spending and there's a lot of people.
But then as the house starts to get smaller and smaller,
the connections to get deeper and deeper. You get to
tell I mean, me and Toy talked so much about
different things on a mindset level.

Speaker 2 (54:05):
And quantum physics on some physics and yeah we're going rabbit.

Speaker 5 (54:10):
You learned too, like what the.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
Hell is going on here?

Speaker 8 (54:12):
Like you know, there were so many things that you
can connect to all the people. So it was it
was fun and that's why, like afterwards, I was so
excited to link up with everybody. You know, I miss
you at the damn you know challenge party the premiere
it would have been fun, but even still, like it was, yeah,
it was it was cool.

Speaker 1 (54:27):
Yeah, it was such a good season.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
It's seriously such a bummer to see you go, but
I'm excited to know that you want to come back.

Speaker 4 (54:33):
For more.

Speaker 5 (54:34):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, no, I gotta eat.

Speaker 8 (54:36):
I gotta eat because I'm not only am I like
excited about just competing again, but also feel I'm way
more prepared now, you know, like you just got to
think about the cycle of my life, you know, big brother.

Speaker 5 (54:49):
I get back home.

Speaker 8 (54:50):
September twenty fifth, twenty twenty two, and then you know,
we we left a film like a couple months after,
you know, so it's just like I didn't even have
that much time to get my life together.

Speaker 5 (55:00):
You know. Just imagine now I have way more.

Speaker 4 (55:02):
Time together now negative, it is not.

Speaker 8 (55:09):
Negative, but either way, it'll be closer to together by the
time the next filming.

Speaker 5 (55:14):
So you know what I'm trying to go with this,
you know.

Speaker 1 (55:17):
So yeah, listen, I'm with you. My life hasn't been
together in seven years. So and it's fine. Everything's fine.
Houses on fire behind me, Everything's fine.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
No, But I think I think, you know, definitely the
time that you get off in between the processing, the
watching it back, analyzing, and like you said, the experience
when you come back like you're you were already a force.

Speaker 1 (55:43):
To be reckoned with.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
I almost saw you smashed bananas through a trick you're
gonna be You're gonna be a force to reckon with,
to reckon with when you come back.

Speaker 5 (55:50):
I appreciate it. I appreciate it. I apologize. We already
talked about it.

Speaker 4 (55:54):
But you know, and so what something we don't see
often Monty, which I think you just get.

Speaker 1 (56:00):
You don't have a name for.

Speaker 4 (56:00):
This award, but whatever it is, maybe we just start
calling it the Monty Award. I'm gonna give it to
you because the fact that you guys got so heated,
and that you guys admit that it got so heated,
it was heated to watch, and even more heated than
we saw off camera right than as you and Tori.
And yet just a couple of weeks later, when they
had the opportunity to vote you in, you manage to

(56:23):
have befriended them enough during the fight or right after
the fight for them not to vote you in. That
is a special kind of wonderful. I don't know that
we are calling that the Monty Award. That was like
the ultimate level of politicking, that it can get that
bad and you guys can be fighting even when the
daily is over. And yet they we had Nanna's on

(56:44):
the podcast, he had nothing, you know, but great things
say about that you did hurt him still in physical therapy,
and you know, obviously Tory has nothing but great things
to say about you. It's that is really impressive, and
I think speaks to your character or gameplay or both.

(57:04):
But wow, because usually when things get that ugly, even
if you people cool off, there's still usually an underlying
you know, the minute somebody has a chance to get
their lick back, they generally do, and these two did not,
and speak so highly of you. So good on you,
Manty officially giving you the first ever.

Speaker 5 (57:24):
After me, My god, I feel so honored.

Speaker 8 (57:27):
Like, I don't think nobody saw any level of emotion
out of the up until that point like that, that
level of emotion, so I think like they were also surprised,
but it came from a competitive place, like it wasn't
out of the right Yeah I.

Speaker 5 (57:42):
Hate you or I'm saying personal things about you.

Speaker 8 (57:45):
It's like, you know, you just you just try to
stop me from winning, like yo, like now we're at it,
So I think, Yeah, the conversations I had with Tori
and Bananas afterwards, it was it was kind of heart
woman to me because they were like, yo, we got
a lot of respect for it now because.

Speaker 5 (58:01):
Like it wasn't. It wasn't as if like, yo, what
what the hell was that about?

Speaker 8 (58:04):
It was like, oh that was kind of yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:11):
You hit right in, buddy.

Speaker 4 (58:16):
Oh god, they're pulling you over to the dark side.

Speaker 1 (58:18):
Run yeah, no listen. I And and like you said,
it was all competitive.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
I think I think people who don't like Monty I
think we should question them because how could you not
like this guy? He is a good guy, stand up guy,
has an organized suitcase, folded sock all like, very organized suitcase,
you know.

Speaker 8 (58:37):
So like, I can't take credit for that, all right,
I can't take credit for my my apparel or my
suitcase because I had my stylist helped me with that,
you know, so I work with I come with a stylist.

Speaker 5 (58:49):
Yes, yes, yeah yeah, all right.

Speaker 4 (58:54):
Okay, Wait, since you said you were open to politiccking
or polititiccking, I'm assuming you're single when you're ready, manty
not for me during. I'm a matchmaker though, And uh,
everything you're naming right now sounds like great qualities. Also,
we know that you're told all the other things, So
kick me up when you're ready.

Speaker 1 (59:10):
I'll put you in the database. All right, you can
be matched.

Speaker 4 (59:12):
We're in thirteen cities nationwide because yes, it is a
yes stylist.

Speaker 5 (59:17):
All right, I apprecire, appreciate, So I can't take credit.
I can't. I gotta give credit where it's.

Speaker 8 (59:21):
There's always been a woman who's dressed me my whole
entire life, and that is continued. So my stylenst is
helping with that.

Speaker 1 (59:27):
Well.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
The fact that you couldn't take credit is another green flag.

Speaker 1 (59:30):
Thoughtful ladies and gentleman is full of green. I'm sorry,
I mean.

Speaker 4 (59:37):
The link right now, he's about to take a shirt
off for y'all. We can let them take it off.
Will describe for you in injurate detail because if you
could see this video chat right now, the.

Speaker 5 (59:46):
Whole PROD after the podcast, I'm kidding, I love it.

Speaker 4 (59:51):
He's leaning into our motto, which is don't overthink it,
just overshare.

Speaker 5 (59:57):
Yeah, y'all got it out of me today. Good ye'll
diet good.

Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Well, Manty. It was seriously a pleasure talking to you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
But if people want to do more than talk to you,
if they want to follow you and support you on
your journey in your DM signing your DMS anything like that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
Where can they follow you and how can they support you?

Speaker 8 (01:00:14):
Yeah, I'm mainly on Instagram, so at Tailored, so T
A Y l o r D Underscore f I T
underscore on Instagram. I also have my own online fitness
coaching business where I'm helping people discover the true.

Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
Bodies and what they're really capable of through fitness. So
if anyone's interested in.

Speaker 8 (01:00:33):
That and would love for me to be their coach,
I would love to help you on your fitness journey.
But yeah, mainly Instagram, and I got a YouTube blog
that's coming out too, so stay tuned for all of
that stuff.

Speaker 5 (01:00:44):
Yeah, and we're having fun. We're having fun, so I
love it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
Well, we'd love to see it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:48):
This is probably terrible, but I just imagine someone's signing
up for your fitness course only so they could talk
to you, and they're like eating chips on the couch,
but they just want to sign.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Up for your courses that they know. You're like, Okay,
are you doing these six reps?

Speaker 4 (01:00:59):
They're like yeah, in between eating like or whatever they
want to be like talking about.

Speaker 8 (01:01:05):
I've had a decent amount of calls like that where
people are like manti I don't want to do anything.
I don't want to get up.

Speaker 5 (01:01:10):
I don't want to and I'm.

Speaker 9 (01:01:11):
Like, we're talking, you want to do you want to change?

Speaker 5 (01:01:18):
To do something?

Speaker 8 (01:01:19):
Girl?

Speaker 5 (01:01:19):
Help me?

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:01:23):
Oh my god, so good. You really are such a
delight Monty. Welcome to the Challenge family. If Torri hadn't
already said that to you, officially welcome. We are so
happy to have you, and like TJ said, we are
excited to see you back whenever wherever, hope hopefully sooner
rather than later, because it's been fun watching you and

(01:01:43):
getting to talk to you and seeing even more of
your personality. Oh, we cannot wait to see it on
your second season of The Challenge.

Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
Yeah, sure, I appreciate it.

Speaker 8 (01:01:51):
Yeah, I would love to have the opportunity and I'm
definitely going to show out.

Speaker 5 (01:01:54):
