Speaker 1 (00:11):
It's welcome through the Naughty but Nice Show on your
host M Shooter and it is Thursday, which means our
dear friend Mark Lupo joins us, Hey, Lupy, are you there?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Lou is here?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
I love that. It just makes me. I don't know
how we found it. I didn't call you Loopy Lou
before the show, and we would hang out get drinks.
So when i'd see you in a work environment, you're
always Mark. Cute. Mark is what we used to call it,
nice loopy Lou.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
You know, It's like how performers have stage names, like
Beyonce has Sasha fear So I'm.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Who is Loopy Lou? How is Loopy Lou different from
Mark Lupo.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
He's naughty but he's nice, like I think.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Mark Lupo is naughty but nice too. Mark Lupo might
be a little bit more naughty.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Than nice sometimes.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Mark everybody Kevin Jonas. If you're listening, Mark, we should
explain to you. I got a few questions after last
week's show. Your boyfriend is called Kevin, but because he's
a little bit mysterious, I've not met him, we call
him Kevin Jonas. Mark is not dating Kevin Jonas of
the Jonas Brothers. So a few naughty is like God
(01:21):
in touch with me, saying Joe Jonas has broken up
with Sophie and now now Kevin's broken up with his wife,
I think Daniella and he's with Mark Lupo, and it's
it's not so terrible terrible rumor. It's a different it's
a different Kevin. Okay, let's jump into the show. What
time is it? My friends? It is story At the
(01:42):
top of the show, Britney Speers his mom, Lynn is
apparently working as a substitute teacher as she struggles to
pay the bills. So Britney Speers mom has reportedly fallen
on hard times following the fallout with her multi millionaire
daughter Britney's birth about sixty seventy maybe eighty million. The
Daily Mail are reporting that Lynn is struggling to pay
(02:03):
her bills, so she took on a part time job
as a substitute teacher, trying to make ends. Meets now
a couple of things here. At first, I was like,
oh my goodness, she's not working in a coal mine.
This is a lovely job. A part time teacher is
a lovely job. And parents have jobs, Like, just because
your daughter's Britney Spears, we are shocked by this. But
(02:24):
my mom and dad had jobs. They retired. Your mom
and dad have jobs, they might still have them. Your
mother waves in the dental office, And so I don't
know if we should be that surprised by this. Why
are we like outraged? Why are you like Britney's mom
had to get a job.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I think we're outraged because she lived this lavish lifestyle
for so many years on Britney's dime, a two million
dollar mansion and shopping sprees and all the gifts, and
then suddenly she was cut off and now she's working
for fifteen dollars an hour, and that's the hard reality
of her choices.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah, that's life, isn't it. What are you think about it?
If you become super rich, if you become a Britney Spears,
and that's one in a billion, you know, it's very,
very difficult to be Britney Space. So we've got to
give respect for the amount of work she did to
get to.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Where she is.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
If you're worth that sort of money, should you pay
for your family? Your friends? Like, where are you on that?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
I don't think you owe anyone anything. I think if
you can put those boundaries in place, and you can
give gifting when it makes sense. But her family, as
we know, have taken advantage of her for many many years.
Even up until recent times, her mom was trying to
extore it or not or ask for money from her
constrivertorship six hundred thousand dollars to pay her legal bills.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Says, when does the stop?
Speaker 2 (03:43):
When does it stop?
Speaker 1 (03:45):
That? I think you've just really explained it well to me.
Market's pushing your luck. I do quite well, and I
have lots of different friends from all different backgrounds, and
some of my friends just don't have a lot of money.
And I'm happy to pay for drinks at body, you know,
as I'm happy to buy dinner. But when they push
their look, when they get a loot, that's when I'm
(04:07):
like a friend of mine. You might know this person
a friend of mine. I always was just buying the drinks,
but it became something that was expected, and so after
years and years of always buying the drinks, it was
just expected. When the check came, nobody reached for their wallets.
Now I like people to reach into their purses, into
(04:28):
their pockets and I'm ninety nine percent of the time
will say no, no, no, I'll get it. But I
do like you at least to pretend that you were
willing to split it or pay for your own. And
after a while market started to bother me.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, you know, my dad always pays for dinner.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
I've been talking about Doris. I've been talking about the
wrong looper.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
No pete. My dad is very generous when it comes
to paying for things, vacations, whatever. But you know, my
brother and I also make that gesture, the effort to
pull out the wild and will pay for one of
the dinners or make we'll pay for, you know, an excursion,
something that shows the gratitude.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
You know, that's what it is. I say, like, I
own more money than mystery, so I'm happy to pay
for drinks for dinners. Misty always insists on getting the
uber or the taxi. If we're going to catch a taxi,
we jump in a taxi to get a frescos where
it's going to be expensive before I can't pay that taxi.
Mysti is absolutely not. I'm not going to make you
(05:25):
pay to bring me to dinner as well as buying
my dinner. And I really am grateful for it. Another
one of my rich friends is Elvis Dran from C.
One hundred. Elvis always pays to the point where it
bothers me, and sometimes I have to like run over
the room to the maitre dy to get the check
before the waiter, before it comes to the table. I
(05:46):
have to like intercept Elvis to pay the bill, and
I do do it, and he doesn't. I think, no,
that's not true. He does notice. He does notice, but
I think you'd be surprised that how few people do that.
And it becomes no longer a novelty. It becomes an expectation.
And that's what happened. I think with Brittany and her mom,
(06:06):
she just expected this for the rest of her life.
And that's now why the harsh reality is so so dramatic.
It's so sort of like shocking, because there's nothing like
having that money taken away. I've had jobs that I
haven't enjoyed, and I've pitched a moan about them. Being
a publicist, I got paid a lot of money, but
I didn't really enjoy it. However, when the job ended
(06:26):
and the money stopped, I was shocked. I thought that
money was mine for the rest of my life, and
it's not it's not yours.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
There's nothing promised to any of us. And that's that
is the harsh truth. And so I think this also
shows she was irresponsible and that she's expected things. And
you know, now she has to figure that out because
she's sixty eight and it's not going to get any
easier as no.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
And you do get used to a certain lifestyle. I
hate to admit that, but Britney's mom is used to
living very very well. You know. The thing is, if
somebody is willing to pay for you, if somebody pays
for all your stuff, just be nice to It's hard.
If you're nice to me, I will pay if you're
(07:08):
If I go for drinks with you that I buy
it and you insult me, and I've paid for that insults,
I stopped doing it. It's that easy. Tell yourself that
all the time. I remind myself, we're lucky, Mark. We
get invited to some brilliant events places we have no
business going. Yes, I remind myself that part of the
bargain is I have to be nice that night. If
(07:30):
you invite me out for a drink, I gotta make
an effort. That's why they're buying me drinks. And they
want a little bit of coverage on the naughty but
Nice show, which we always do do. What are you
aware of the quick pro cro when you get invited
to the Jonas Brothers concerts, when you get invited all
these fabulous premieres, they want.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Something you will not believe. How nice I am at
these events? I am. I stroke the ego of any
publicist invites me things. I love free stuff. Please invite
me to everything. I will show up and I will
compliments you your outfit, your personality.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
That's lovely shoes. I love your bag. Oh you're so
bad that I do that? Yeah, doing your free food? Okay,
brings us to our pole question. After the day Brittany
see is his mommy allegedly has got a job as
a substitute teacher to pay the bills. Well, boo hoo,
it's a pretty you know, that's what happens in the world.
People get jobs, they get papered. My question is, should
Brittany just give her mommy money? Should you just give
(08:26):
her mommy money? Maybe some of you say yes. Eighty
million dollars, it's a lot of money. She wouldn't notice
it if it's missing, Although the mom wasn't very nice, Brittany,
I don't want to influence you anymore, gave Voute on
our Twitter paget naughty nieh are about facebook page Naughty Gossip.
I'm sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, Lupie,
(08:47):
what are you working on?
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Yes, I have an Angelina July.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
She doesn't do a lot. We don't do a lot
of Angie because she never does anything great.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Okay, angel And Julie says she's in a transition after
her divorce and hasn't felt like herself. Okay, So Angelina
Jolie says she is still in a transition as a
person as she approaches the age of fifty, and she said, quote,
I feel a bit down these days. I don't feel
like I've biden myself for a decade in a way
(09:17):
which I don't want to get into now. She told
this to the November twenty twenty three Vogue cover, which
she looked really beautiful, the pictures of Sunny.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
I mean the cover, it's not subtle, she said, A
full ball.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Guy full and it's really artistic, and you can tell
she's like she's in her feelings in this cover, and
she also went on to say She also went on
to say that she's only been taking jobs that didn't
require long shoots, and this started around twenty sixteen, which
kind of alludes to the aftermath of her divorce from
Rad Pitt. She said, quote, we have a lot of
healing to do, and she went on to say that
(09:52):
we're still finding our footing.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Oh, I have feelings about this one. It makes me
sad that this is consumed to her for six seven years.
But I do understand that breakups are really really difficult,
even if your superstars, even if you have a lot
of money, and it makes me want her to move on.
We all trauma in our life. I'm not diminishing Angelina's
(10:15):
trauma here. It seems really really bad, but there is
a light at the end of the tunnel if you
want to grab onto it, if you want to see it.
I move on relatively quickly.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Now.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Some people would say, including my therapist, that I'm in denial,
but I do try to pull myself together. I won't
let a bad decision ruin the rest of my life,
and I can forgive myself too. I really learned how
to do that? Mark forgive yourself, Angelina. Whatever was done
was done. I'm sure it's not pretty. Definitely unpack it,
(10:51):
Definitely talk about it, Definitely think about it. But to
let a divorce consume you for six years, that's six
years you've given away to Brad and that's something you
don't want to do. How are you mark at being
consumed by anger, pain and grief?
Speaker 2 (11:10):
You know, I think that's the responsibility of the person
to make the efforts to heal, and so I choose
to go to therapy, I speak to my friends, I journal.
I have found ways to work through it. And I'm
not saying it's easy or every day it's perfect. It's not.
But also this narrative really like you're saying it's consumed
true for so long and you keep dragging it out,
and then you know your kids are hearing about this,
(11:31):
and it's like will they ever move on? Will you
ever move on? Like she needs to find like a tailor,
swift or someone who can just take her out and
just have a wild night at the bars and meet
some guy and have fun.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
You know, have fun. Angelina. I know You've got all
the resources in the world and that doesn't make pain
any less. I'm not saying it does, but you do
have this amazing power and ability to move forward in
a way that the rest of us don't have. So
use those resources, Horses, Angelina, to find peace. I want
(12:03):
you to heal. I really do. The photographs in the
magazine on the cover, Mark are so powerful, are so gorgeous,
and the story is so dark, so sad. It was
hard for me to match the two of them together.
It's definitely work. It's definitely worth a read. Okay, moving
along the view, Sarah Haynes accidentally called out Whoopi Goldberg
(12:25):
as the richest person in the room. This reminds me
of our first story about so she was joking about
rich people and she was really saying, which I find
to be true. Sometimes it's always the person in the
room who doesn't look like the wealthiest that has the
most money. It's usually the person in the hoodie. And
then they all look to the left, guess what Whoopy
was wearing and they all laughed. It was a very
(12:47):
very fun moment. I love this show, but I think
that Whoopie probably is the riches at that table. What
do you think about rich people? Mark can you tell
their riach or are they the people that you would
never know.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Besides the fact that rich people usually are quiet, like
in their luxury they were the sweatshirts, they're also the
ones usually never to open their wallets. Like rich people
can be so cheap and they just they like hide
their money. So it's funny we're talking about this earlier.
Where some people can be very generous, some people can
just be so stingy.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
So sick. They have so much, so much they never
opened their their wallets. Whoopy goldbergers a lot of money. Okay,
what's going on? This is a big reveal. Finally we
know what was on that camera that Joe Joanas spotted.
His is a strange wife, Sophie Turner on what.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Happened the infamous ring camera. Okay, so an insider revealed
the subject of the ring camp footage Joe saw, and
it was simply Sophie talking about him in somewhat of
the negative way to a friend. The source has quote
it wasn't anything more than that, but that was the
final straw. Now, another source, Frob said that Joe's busy
tour schedule took the toll in the relation ship and
(14:01):
being a mom on the road is not easy, even
you have unlimited resources, and it was just so hard
for them to settle into a regular routine because job
Joe's career. What do you think?
Speaker 1 (14:10):
You know, there's some points there. I wanted this video
camera to be really dramatic. I wanted her to be
like fully naked with Taylor Swift, like I wanted like
really crazy, like I wanted Frankie Grandy involved some. I
wanted a German shepherd, and I wanted a full circus
on this. You know, I I did that. Your partner
(14:31):
said a few mean things about you. Is not good
and he's certainly something that I definitely try not to do.
But when I have a little disagreement with Bruce, he
upset me a few days ago. I didn't say anything,
but if somebody had walked past at the right time,
do you know what I mean? Mark, like you and
Kevin Jonas, he's listening to be careful. Yeah, you can
(14:53):
sometimes say a sentence about somebody or even a friend,
even about me.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Mark.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
I'm sure you've said sharp thing about your friend and
drub shooter once or twice. You have to put it
into context of how people treat you what they say. Overall,
you can't let one SoundBite, one sentence blow up your marriage.
It's much bigger than that.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
Oh yeah, And you know, Kevin's a very sweet person.
He's much nicer than I am, and so it's hard
to find things to say that are not nice. And
I'm the same for you, rub Like, you're a lovely
person and you're a good friend, and so people will
have opinions of all And in some people's story you're
the villain and some people you're the hero.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
So and in the same story you can be both.
You can be. That's what's so complicated and wonderful about
life that we're shades of gray and some days I
might be a little darker or a little lighter. And
same with you, Mark, I never really know exactly what
someone's going to beat. What's in your heart, not necessarily
your mouth, that counts in your heart. Okay, we're going
(15:50):
to take a quick break and we will be right back.
Welcome back to the Naughty but Nice One. Rob shoot
you with idea from Mark Lupo. Hey loopy, let's get
to the poles done. Oh thank you so dramatic. Yesterday
we talked about Taylor Swift, who would have said that
guys have never done anything crazy to get her attention.
And she said that like guys never really went out
(16:13):
of their way to pique her interest. They just never
did that until this gentleman she is with. Our question
was do you like guys that try really hard? Do
you like it? Is it too much? Is it too extra?
Or do you like it? The armist let's have a look.
Eighty five percent said you like it. You do like
the attention, you like the effort, even if it's a
(16:35):
little bit cheesy. Where are you Mark?
Speaker 2 (16:38):
I mean I don't Historically I did not well, I
don't know. I don't think I've ever really had that
experience either, But I wouldn't mind it. I think attention
is nice.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
I like bick. Do you want to get my attention?
You can't wheel across the room at my feet with
a bouquet of flowers. I like big gestures. I do
like even if I'm cringing, I do like them. So
did the Naughties. Oh Ma, Kevin Jonas, if you're listening,
I'm on a hot air ballooon tonight right up town,
(17:09):
Pick Mark up and take him somewhere nice and a
ball down. Okay, don't forget to vote on today's polka
to our Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook
page is Naughty Dorsuper. Be sure as to check back
tomorrow to hear your results are. Now it's time for
a Nicest of the Day.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
It's Kyle Richards.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Surprise. Mmm.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
So she's cheering on her estranged husband Mauricio and Dancing
with the Stars. This is cute. So Carl Richard's stepped
out to support her ex Mauricio for his Dancing with
the Star's debut. She's standing alongside her three daughters and
in addition to being there, she encouraged fans to vote
for the star on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
I like it, you couldn't, Nicle and saying of course
she was there, there was a camera. She like him
and she likes publicity. I think this is genuine and
I hope it is in the were there too cheering
him on? Good for you and nicest of the day
and now I naughticed the day. Naughty naughty noughty Samus
Guardi's family he was the chap who was married to
Britney Spears, said they never thought Brittany was right for him.
Just drives me crazy. This and it's happened to me
(18:13):
and I've been guilty of this too. When your friend
breaks up with somebody, you're all like, oh, I never
liked him, And I'm like, well, why didn't you tell
me when I was with him? Nobody said a word
about this when we were dating, And now that we
broke up, suddenly he's the worst person in the whole world.
I was Jaydon dating somebody awful. Well, why didn't you
(18:34):
say so at the time, Britney. When Britney got married
to Sam and he moved into that very beautiful home,
nobody was saying anything. Then now that they're over, the
family is suddenly speaking at you.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
I hate this too, and it's so unhelpful. You know,
see something in the beginning, or just don't see anything.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Yes, shut up, but say after the It's like that
you fail a test or a job interview you don't
get and friends are like, well, I knew you wouldn't
get it. Why would you say that. That's not helpful,
and that's why you're there. Naughtiest of the day. Notty, notty.
Let's end with a moment of rob you rub, you
get a rub, happiness is when what you think, what
(19:20):
you say, and what you do are all in harmony.
When I have my head and my heart and my
mouth and my intentions all syncd up together, I have
a great day. When I don't, I have this internal
battle and that internal battle becomes an external battle. Make
(19:43):
sure what you think, what you say, and what you
do all reflects you, even if you're a terrible person.
I know some really happy terrible people because they say
horrible things, they do horrible things, and they are horrible
and they're happy in that misery. I'm not. Inside me,
there's a really nice guy, and I'm happiest when that
(20:05):
nice guy inside is also in my mouth and also
in my actions. Figure out who you are and make
sure it all adds up, the puzzle all fits together
in perfect harmony, and you will be happy. Hey, that
is it for today. Thank you so much for listening
to the Not Even Nice with Rob and Loopy Lou Show.
