Speaker 1 (00:09):
Advice, sugar, it's nice.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Welcome to the naughty but nice Sham. Your host, Rob
Shooter is Monday morning, which means our dear friend Garrett
Vogel Joints. Hey Garrett are you there?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Oh yes, Bob? How is your weekend filled with fun?
And I mean it's getting cold here in New York now,
I mean we're finally in the Do you have the
heavy coat out? Are you still like a light jacket?

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Sweat face? Is that what it's called? Like?

Speaker 5 (00:37):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, you got a north that's very that that's very
Italian Staten Island.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
W it's very practical. Love.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I mean it's a warm jacket. It's a warm but
if a hurricane at me and I don't get wet
like it's water.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
But if you want to, yeah, if you want to
look like he came from Brooklyn or Staten Island you're wearing.
I gotta get you some timber and boots and then
you'll be fit right in maybe.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Some so pride. I look great in my little face.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
My niece was in town. So my sister Betty. I
don't talk about Betty that much. My eldest sister, Betty
has a daughter Amy and Mina and she was in
town with her boyfriend. So we did a ton of
touristy things together. It was really really great and we saw.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
We like the boy.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
The boy really really good guy, and I didn't really
know him. So I was a little bit sort of
like mm hmm, show me what you got, and he
did well.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Your your first impressions always come across where people walk
away gone that.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
It was a lot though, like I don't I don't
have an off switch. I'm quite aware of that, and
I am a very curious My mother would say, nosy person,
and so I do have a lot of questions which
might have come at you like a machine good and
so I tried to take a breath between. But we
had some lovely dinners. We had some lovely time together.
We saw Chess the musical with fan fantastic that.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
He is so good score by Abba.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
The two gentlemen from Abba wrote the scourse if you
like Mom and Me, if you like Abba, this is
very familiar.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
The music, it's all. It's all.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
It's a relival, so it's not new music. But it's
not ABBA's greatest hit. Go and see Mom and Mia
for BA. But if you want new music by Abba.
When I say new it was from the eighties. It
is so good that Liah Michelle, my goodness.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
I mean, without giving out anything away. It's nothing to
do with you know, the game chess, right, it's just.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
A very clever Garrett.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
It's actually a metaphor to what it is is it's
two chess players in the eighties, one's American, one's Russian,
and the battle in each other. But it's really about
is the game of chess in life? And if you
kiss my girlfriend and I kiss your boyfriend and you
date this one. So it's a very messy chess board
of life and the game of chess is in there.

(02:50):
So you don't have to know anything about chess to
know the musical. I don't play chess, okay, like it.
It's so so clever And once again, Liah Michelle, you're
gonna get yourself a Tony Numa name. M Keller jump
into ash What time is it?

Speaker 4 (03:01):
My friends and heirs?

Speaker 1 (03:03):
T time?

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Big story at the top of the show.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
So Britney Speers shocked everybody this weekend by hanging out
with the Kardashians. There were some photographs posted. I think
Kim posted them, not Britney, but they were all together,
lying in bed having fun. I've known about this for
a while. Kim has really tried to reach out to Britney.
Britney is isolated, she doesn't have really any friends, she
doesn't have much family left in her life. And Kim
is a good person. I know that soundshock and everybody's

(03:27):
going to think, Oh, Kim's doing this to use Britney's fame.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
She doesn't need it.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Kim is doing fine by herself. However, I did start
to poke about it and ask why was Britney not
at the big birthday party, Chris Jenna's seventieth birthday party.
If everybody everybody was there, they could have had Britney
Spears there. I'm told that it was a choice. They
did not invite her. I fear it's because Britney's so unpredictable.

(03:53):
She's a little bit messy, and they didn't want that
at the party. So I'm happy that. I am happy
that Brittany has a stable friend. And honestly, Kim Kardashian,
we can all roll our eyes, we all have She's stable.
She really does the work right. She doesn't party, she
doesn't drink, she doesn't do drugs. She's not a radic.

(04:14):
She is a business person, she is a mother, she
is a reality star. You can't be as successful as
Kim and be sloppy. And so I actually like this friendship.
Am I a little disappointed they didn't invite Brittany to
the birthday bash? Yes, but I also understand it. We've
all got those friends people in our lives who are
just not good in the crowd. Britney's Better warran on

(04:35):
one in a big group with alcohol and people and
dancing and Beyonce, Jeff Bezos, Oprah Winfrey.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
It might just be.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
All too overwhelming for britt Britt And So I actually
think this is kind of a smart move. What do
you think?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Do you think that is why that Kim initiated the sleepover?
I guess, you know, just so to kind of soften
the brow of Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
They do this, don't we When we don't invite a
friend to an event, we overcompensate and then we have
a sleep Right, So if you do something a little
bit shady, then you send me flowers. So I always know,
like Bruce, when Bruce is upset me, there's a bunch
of flowers in the hole flowers like just in case,
I like a rose, but I also like I like those.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
I like a peenie. I like my flowers, and so
I knew you like.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
So I like this. I don't feel bad that Brittany
wasn't at the party. In fact, I think you have
to set some bad I just have to set some
boundaries even with friends. I know my friends who do
really really well in a group setting, and I also
know my friends that are better one on one. And
once you know who you who you are, Garrett, what
would you say you are? Are you better in a
group or one on one?

Speaker 3 (05:49):
I am probably in a group because then I you know,
because one on one you feel like you have to
keep the ball, you know, afloat, you know what I mean,
Like you got to keep the the tempo of the.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Conversation going, no awkward silence.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
But in a group setting, you know you have other
people to rely on, where you know, if it's you,
me and a bunch of five other people, I don't
have to keep going a conversation with you, even though
you and I could probably talk until the sun goes down.
But you know, in case you run out of something
to say, you know, Joe could Joe could pick up
and go, oh my god, did you just see what happens?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
It's very interesting. What do you like, naughties? Do you
like a group setting?

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Do you like what about you?

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Well?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I do love a one on one, but really I
could sit and talk to myself. I could just be
the one. And when I'm in a group setting, I
have to be careful because I have to remind myself
to let somebody else speak, because I sometimes just don't
shut up, and so I have to You don't have
an eye not in groups, because I could be very annoyed.
At least one on one, you could just chewn it

(06:50):
out to let me go. So what this is so
interesting to me, though, is that there are people in
Hollywood who want Britney to do well, and Kim at
the top of that list. So even if you don't
like him, I don't want this to be the Kim
Kardashian press release show. But even if you don't like him,
she's doing really good work here. They know Britney's troubled,
Brittany knows that she needs some help, and of all

(07:10):
the celebrities, think about it, Madonna was at her wedding
all the people that Britney thought were close have not
really shown up.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Guess who has?

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Guess who's the one who's shown up in the hour
of need? Kim Kardashian, which brings us to our pole
question of the day. Kim and Britney are getting close. However,
she wasn't invited to Christianna's seventieth birthday party. She was
thought to be a little bit too messy. Is this
the right decision or the wrong decision? I could go
either way on this one. I can understand why she

(07:40):
wasn't there, and if she'd turned up and been messy,
then maybe that would have ended the one on one
friendship with Kim. It could have got very difficult. So
what do you think here?

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Right or wrong?

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Go vote on our Twitter page, add Naughty nine rob
Our facebook page is Nordy Gossip and be sure to
check Better Morrow to take Garrett Love that are you
working on the all?

Speaker 4 (08:03):
Right?

Speaker 2 (08:03):
So?

Speaker 3 (08:03):
I don't know if you've been watching the Justin Bieber
live streams on YouTube as he kind of lets us
into his preparation as he gets ready to perform at Coachella. Now,
Justin really hasn't performed in years, almost ever since he
kind of took off from his world tour. So this
is kind of like the first live performance he's letting
people in. So we're seeing everything. We're seeing the performance,

(08:25):
we're seeing the setup, we're seeing hang out with friends talking,
and even you know, crashing on skateboards.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
So here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
So with that crash that you might have heard about
or might have even seen, apparently allegedly he was smoking
before the wipeout. That's what insiders are claiming, which happened.
So you know, several people said he's definitely was smoking
shortly right before he hopped on the one wheel and
kind of raised some questions whether he was fully with it.
You know, he wasn't out of control, but he wasn't

(08:54):
one hundred percent there. Other you know, a source was
saying people around him said, hey, shouldn't be doing this.
They literally said, maybe don't ride right now, but you know,
justin kind of just like I got it, no problem.
And of course, minutes later the I Told you So
a moment he slammed onto his rib cage, clutching his side,
cursing through the pain. All during this live stream. So

(09:17):
fans watched him, you know, they were worried. You know,
he tried to laugh but in kind of like shake
it off, but it just showed that, yeah, he's trying
to do but you but you know, it brought you know,
it brought the question again about you know, his substance
abuse that he's been opening, you know.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Thoughts about it.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
You know, we've seen him recently looking like he's been
smoking at events. We've seen him surrounded by smoke. We
don't know what he's smoking. Let's be really clear about that,
but we can have a good guess at it, particularly
because he has been very honest about his past abuses
with alcohol, with drugs. It's concerning, isn't it. And particularly
because he's got now this massive performance. We want him

(09:55):
to be in tip top shape for that. If he
comes out and he's not amazing, then we're all going
to go about that.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
So ten million dollars, So Coachella is paying them ten
million dollars, which hurt us, you know, proud to him.
He negotiated that contract himself. But you know, I'm sure
if Coachella is watching this because it's a live stream,
you know, that's where they go absolutely, come on, guy,
you know, ten million dollars, like, we're invested in you.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah, well, well I you know.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
I hit the phones and my friends told me it's
the insurers that are really going to be worried.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Ab Right.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
It's exactly be difficult for Justin to get insurance to
go on the road. That's why celebrities. A lot of
these big stars who are troubled stop performing because they
just cannot get the insurance. For a long time, Lindsay
Lohan really wanted to make movies, but she just couldn't
get the insurance. She was too risky. Britney Spears is
another example. If Britney decided she was going to go
back to Vegas and perform, wouldn't that be great? It'd

(10:48):
give us something to do, give her a passion. I'm
not sure anybody in Vegas would ensure Britney Spears at
the moment.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
You're taking a gamble in Vegas. If you decided anything.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Particular insurance, the premium is really high. It's going to
be a massive amount you have to pay to be
insured to Justin to do this on tape, to actually
do this and put it out there. This can be
used against you moving forward in your career with insurance
with promoters, with concert tour professionals. Since it makes me

(11:18):
a little bit nervous about it, I also think too,
there's a bigger question here about we all talk about
don't drink and drive. I think that's something we can
all agree is a terrible idea. But what about skateboard
and being in pay? Is that a good idea?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
You know, it's interesting too, and it's happening in towns
all across the country too. There's these motorized scooters and
skateboards and kids are getting on them where you literally
are going thirty forty fifty miles per hour. But yet
they haven't passed a road test to drive a car.
So you're allowing kids. Now, of course, Justin's of age

(11:55):
and he drives a car. But you're allowing kids that
don't know the laws of the road to get on
something monorized and then expect to know what they're doing
and then get into these.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Act and we should all think about it. Okay, Moving
along at a Vegas again, we have some real housewife news.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are accusing Kylie Richards of
playing gay for the ratings. So Kylie has come out
about her sexuality at Bravo. Kahn and fans were delighted
about it. So she's had a gay storyline following her

(12:26):
split from Mali Ceo, and then her tagline for season
fifteen was I could go Brad, I could go Angelina.
So she's really leaning into this very funny, very cute. However,
cast members are saying they're not exactly convinced, and they're
not even sure that she is bisexual, that she is gay.
This feels to them as if it's a ploy for

(12:48):
ratings to keep her job.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
I think we get into.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
A really dangerous position place when we start doubting what
people say about their own sexuality. You have to believe people.
If she is making it up, shame on her. But
there's so much many kids out there. There's so many
people out there who are not making it up, who
are keeping it a secret because of where they live
or what they do for a living, And so I'd
be really out And if I found out that somebody

(13:10):
was using this to help their careers, to help their ratings.
They are housewives, So even though I don't want to
believe them, they are whose they are trouble and they
do do crazy things. They love oppressed studs. These ladies,
of course, you can't trust.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
So I'm not totally familiar. But do their taglines change.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
You know, seasons and not mid seasons tagline?

Speaker 3 (13:38):
I know I would love to see Kylie go to
Andy go Hey. I know we're done taming, but I
just want to change.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
To Kyle and Andy must love this. Andy's a rating machine,
so I love. I think he's brilliant at what he doesn't.
Part of the reason and is so brilliant is he
is ruthless, Like he just cares about the ratings of
the show. He'll let these ladies humiliate themselves like he
has flipped.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
He doesn't care about them.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
He's like the banker and dialo no deal.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
You don't see him, but he's all in the back
petting his cat as all these women just going okave.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Just before we get to break Paris, Hilton claim something
over the weekend and now there's an enormous amount of backlash.
What am I talking about?

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Yes, well she is.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
She's hurt and shocked by the fact that no one
believes that she's one hundred percent self made, you know,
so you know she.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
She survives everything.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
As we all know the scandals, paparazzi stampedes, but the
self made claim, that's kind of hurting her the most.
I guess that's where it's hitting her really hard. She
generally hurt. You know, she believes she built an empire herself.
She doesn't understand why the public are attacking her. You know,
Paris thought she was celebrating her billion dollar success when

(14:53):
she described herself as self made. But she didn't expect
everyone to go really self made. I mean, I think
she works hard, and as you know, you've worked with
her before, you've seen that she she does put in
the work. But when you have the last name of
a hotel that is literally everywhere in the world, it's
hard to say that you're self made, you know what

(15:14):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
And she grew up with the lap of luxury. She
was a multi millionaire from the day she was born.
She went to the best school, She met the best people.
She was hanging out with Michael Jackson, like she knew
people that we will never ever get to maid.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
She owned a hotel the moment she came out of Kathy,
the moment she came out of Kathy.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
She does work hard, though I do give credit this
when I worked with Paris. She doesn't have to do anything.
She could just stay home and enjoy her Hilton money.
She's created herself, her own brand. She's worked really hard
at it. However, she didn't start at zero, and so
I think she can say I'm partially self made, or
I took my family's advantages and I really tried to
push forward and make my own. All of that's true,

(15:53):
but one hundred percent self made. Let's be honest, he Gara. No,
one's a hundred percent self made. What comes from my parents,
my friends, my education, my family, my community, nobody. I
really bugs me when people think it's all about them,
that they are the only person that can fix it,
they're the only person that can create it. No, we're

(16:14):
all part of this beautiful world. We're all part of
this beautiful society where we help each other. Maybe we
don't help each other every single day, but nobody stands alone. Parish,
Shame on you.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Okay, we're going to take a quick break and we
will be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty that
Nishi Hostel Too with a dear friend, Garrett Vogel.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Hey, Garrett, let's get to the pussy. Last show, we
talked about King Charles is trying to seize his mommy's
cor gears from Andrew. It's no longer Prince Andrew. So
when the Queen died, Queen Elizabeth I and died, Andrew
and Sarah Ferguson snatched the Corkars. I'm not even sure
that they were theirs to take, but they got the
Corkis move them into their house. It was a good

(16:56):
move because if the Queen's Corgis are in the house,
they can't kick you out because they don't want to
kick the dog like.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
They're very very these corkies.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
This needs to be an episode of Downton Abbey.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
As long as these Corkies exist. As long as these.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Corks exists, are they rich the.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Money probably billion dollar? Carcy is.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
I don't know if the Queen left actually buddy to
the Corcys. However, this is going to give Andrew some leverage.
And Andrew is in a very tricky position by his
own fault. Let me ask and so Charles is going
to sweep it and take them. What do you think
about this?

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Who are the corgies on the Corkes.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
I think they're gonna be okay. Here should the pups
live with Andrew or Charles? And Charles I agree, we
can't trust Andrew. Don't forget to vote on today's pole
and a Twitter page add Naughty Nice rob facebook page

Speaker 4 (17:48):
To hear your results. And now it's time for an
nicest of the day.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
I love how you say that.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
Let's talk about Jennifer Aniston. So her, her close group
of friends, her quote unquote inner circle. They're convinced she's engaged,
but and she's dropping all the signs but she's not
confirming anything, but her closest friends are saying she's already
revealing the classic you know, makers of Jennifer's engaged, but without.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Saying she's engaged.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
You know, she's quietly asking about, you know, some venues
in Greece, which, oh my god, getting married in greased
can you imagine? I mean, you know, it's very romantic, obviously,
and she wasn't making small talk with one friend.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
She sounded like she was planning.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
Something, but it wasn't really sure what was being planned,
you know, so a ton of happiness, and of course
the joke is that she's been dating and possibly engaged
to a hypnotist boyfriend, Jim Curtis, so it leaves to
question is she really engaged.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
She might think she's engaged, or she might not think
she's engaged, but really she's engaged.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
I love this.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
I hope you are whatever. I'm so happy for you
and nicest the day now I noticed the day naughty, naughty,
naughty staff in Vegas are saying the Brother con of
twenty twenty five, which just then died, was the worst
convention they have ever worked. So they're saying the fans
are great. Let's be clear here, they love the Brother fans,
but the celebrities, the talent, the stars were absolutely chaos.
There's lots of examples on my substack about the demands

(19:20):
that these reality stars made, including the temperature of their
water and their rooms and their limos and all that
diva stuff that you expect of a j Lo O
over Mariah Carey. And I sort of like think Jlo
has deserved her right to be a bit difficult.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
A real housewife. Countess Luman girl.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Teresa given her water temperature ms.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
It is hilarious read all their crazy demands. Once again,
the fans are great, but the talent do we know?
This is not so nice? Okay, let's end, not think
the moment. Remember, when you forgive, you heal, and when
you heal, you let go, and when you let go,
you grow. Forgiveness isn't saying what happened is okay? Oh no,

(20:05):
it's saying you're done carrying it. It's cutting the cord
between you and the pain that's been holding you hostage
for a long time.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
So let go.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Let go today, not because they deserve the peace, but
because you do. Hey, that is it for today. Thank

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
