Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Sure it's time, nicell welcome toletely naughty but nice. I'm
your house drong shooter, and it is Friday, which means
our dear friend Corey Andrew joins us another week, Corey, Corey,
are you there?
Speaker 1 (00:23):
I am here, Hello, Rob, I've missed you, darling.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
It was a minute. It was many technical issues, a
few little technical stuff. It happens. Yeah, I used to
get annoyed by that sort of stuff. It used to
drive me really crazy, and it could upset me for
like twenty four hours a day. I'd be mad at it.
I've learned to let go and what will be will be?
Will you obviously love having you and it's not the
same without you. But I've sort of figured out how
(00:47):
to plot along. And I used to get so nervous
doing a solo show.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Well the last time, people don't know, like we were
literally about like we were about to start, and my
computer just like a second beforehand said no.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
It just just stopped to just do it.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Even this morning, there was a few hicks, but we
figured it out. Yes, enough about us, let's get talking
about the stars. Love. What time is it? My friends?
It is a big controversial story at the top of
the show. Do not worry. We are not a political show.
We're not going to get into whether or not we
think this is a good idea. We'll leave that to you.
(01:21):
But what we will talk about is what's happening now
to the Chrisly family. So the Chrisly family just received
a pardon and they're about to make millions. So following
the pardon of Todd and Julie, I sort of liked
their show. I didn't watch it all the time. I
wasn't kenny to it. I was aware of them, and
they sort of made me me giggle a little bit.
(01:42):
Their show was called Chrisly Knows Best. While sources are
saying telling me that the family is already feeling fielding offers.
Sources say, quote, they never gave up on being stars,
and now the president has given that back to them,
and they see this as a redemption arc and actually
a ratings gold mind. I spoke to some producers and
(02:05):
they said, just get ready. This family is going to
become really popular with a certain base, not universal, but
you don't need that anymore. You don't need to be
a network anymore. You need to be targeted. And so
they know who their audience is, they're going to lean
(02:25):
into it and hearing there might be a visit to
the White House in a couple of weeks, you know,
the camera crews will be with them. It's sort of
a wild world we live in. Did you ever see
the musical Chicago?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Of course, it's about how.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Crime pays, how you commit an awful It was murder,
She murdered her guy and then a star. And I
think that's such a perverse but truthful way of how
not just America, but but countries work. You can become
really really famous now by doing something awful and yet
(03:02):
seem to benefit from it.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, well, especially in mainstream TV.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
You know, if you see like Dancing with the Stars,
for example, when they when they got in trouble about
casting some questionable people who are who are murder murderers,
suspects potentially and all kinds of interesting people. But you
know what, that is what the audience wants. And if
the name of the game is ratings and sponsors on
major networks that generate profit, then we can expect to
(03:28):
see I mean, if Charles Manson were alive, honey, he'd
have a show.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I mean, he really would he would.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I think I gotta stop fighting because I'm losing this battle.
I blame the housewife really bad behavior, episode after episode. Yeah,
we rewarded, gets rewarded. The more naughty they were, the
more we celebrated. And I literally thought when Teresa Judy
she went to jail, I thought her career was over.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
No, No, made her bigger, the bigger star Corey.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Do we have to rob a bankat what can we do?
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Let's see, I'm ready to flipp a table or something
that's gonna get me that six figures every week.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Let's flip a table immediately.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Wild. Some people are really really supportive of this. I
saw the situation from the Jersey Shore this morning. Is
making a statement. So reality stars have sort of like
really cirtled the wagons. This is one of theirs. Yeah, yeah,
and so and they know too, these reality stars that
maybe one day.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
They they'll get on the show because yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Troubled people who I've got arrested on the Housewives. There's
a whole stars misbehaving who become super super famous. And
so for for a minute now, maybe a little bit longer,
TV insiders are telling me they could be bigger than
the Kardashians. They're not just going to get TV specials.
They're going to get interviews, they're going to get merchandising,
(04:51):
they could make appearances, they're going to do radio shows.
They could even maybe run for office. So Savannah, it
was really the one the brains behind the operation that
got the mom and dad out of jail. And so
she really became quite close with Laura Trump and that
(05:11):
was her in into the pard and the Trump family.
My goodness, and they're saying that the daughter really works this.
I must admit if my parents were in jail too,
I'd probably do the same and get them out. Jared
Krushner's dad went to jail and he's going to be
the ambassador of France. I don't know if it matters anymore.
And do we want to hold ourselves to a higher
(05:35):
standard than others and in the process Cory lose out
on opportunities. It's a dinama, isn't it what it's true about?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Well, you know, I think that Laura Trump probably worked
out a show. You know, she's got big aspirations. Yes,
of course, I've been famous. Remember she had like a
song out. Yeah, So I'm going to argue that probably
we see some back end arrangements where you're gonna see
some trumps pipping up on whatever reality show because they
love fame, they love the camera, they love the spotlight.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
I would just end with this personally. I will say
they did get.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Arrested for some very serious charges, yes okay, and convicted,
So it's not like there has some miraculous comeback here.
It's more about someone is deciding to look past their criminality,
and those are two different things.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
So if they watched the show that's a hit.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Show, It's gonna be interesting to see how all this
pans out. But I don't think they're gonna be going
get anywhere. I've already seen pictures of the Christlies, who
I think are back in Nashville waving at cameras. Of course,
several multimillion dollar offers are on the table, which brings
us to our whole question of the day. The Christly family,
(06:45):
the Chrisly family, it's poised to make, poise to make
millions after they're shocking. Pardons from offers for TV merchandise
and even speaking gigs are fluoding in our questions quite simple,
does crime pay unfortunate? Let me know the answer. How
you don't forget to vote on today's Paul Twitter page.
I had naughty nice rob about facebook page is naughty
(07:08):
Jose and be sure to check back on MONDAYTA here
your results. Hey, Corey, what do you like? Told I?
Speaker 3 (07:14):
Yes, Well, Kelly Clarkson, you know, she's making some news here.
She's got some thoughts about her show, how she left
the show, and she's.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Thinking that maybe it wasn't a good idea because.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Her latest music endeavor has flopped, unfortunately, and so she's
quietly reconsidering, you know, that her exit from her daytime show,
you know, might not be the right idea. That's what
insiders are telling hashtag shooter scoop about her decision. Now,
the Powerhouse vocalist she released a song called where Have
You Been came out last month, but the answer from
(07:45):
the fans seemed to be, honey, we're not.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Looking okay, we're not looking for it.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
So, you know, it barely made a ripple an industry
and so an industry insider has told us. And so
it's to got twenty thousand units sold, right, but that's
not the same as like back in the day when
they were like CDs. So people have to understand, it's
very different music industries. It's all based on downloads, and
they don't make a lot of money off those downloads.
You know, it's really not the same as buying a CD.
But in any event, she only got eight thousand actual downloads,
(08:12):
which is not really a lot for an artist who's
as big as she is and so and the rest
is just streaming, which is just basically listening to it
without any sales attached. So those are just not Clarkson
level numbers. But you know, the thing is, though we're
you know, it's a different industry. As I mentioned, it's
not the same. And we have got to mention that
for a long time, music directors at radio stations have
(08:34):
told us that pop music just is not kind to
female pop stars over the age of thirty five.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
I mean they've said it.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
You have said it. That's not saying that.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
That's yeah, they don't play the.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Programmers of these stations. It's absolutely true and hopeful it's
changing a little bit, but not fast enough. So Kelly
has not left her show yet, but there definitely talks
about her leaving when her contract expires, and that's going
to be the end of next year. And so they're
looking for a replacement for her. However, it is interesting
Kelly was leaving the show because she misses her life
as a musician. She loves going on the road, she
(09:07):
loves doing concerts. She can make a lot of money
doing so. I think here, every artist wants to put
out new music, but a lot of artists yea, maybe
every artist has realized you've got to do the hits now.
Kelly is lucky enough that sheeese got a suitcase full
of Oh my gosh, she can just tour forever. She
does never she never needs to sell another record to
(09:28):
go on to her. Like when I think of Cher
and Madonna and these huge pop stars, they've not had
hits in a really long time. It bugs me. I
wish they did. They have not. But you're bon Jovi.
If you're John bon Jovi, you can go on the
road and sell out arenas with old songs, and yeah,
that's what the fans want. They don't want the new stuff.
So I think a couple of things here. I'm sure
to work really hard on a new project. Cory, you're
(09:50):
a musician to pour your heart and soul into a
new record. Yeah, underperforms must be devastating.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
It's hurtful.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
If you've got ten fifteen hits you can play Radio City,
then why stop go out and do the hit. So
I get why Kelly's being given pause. I get why
she's thinking really seriously about this, But let's be honest.
The money is not in the sales anymore. No branding
(10:19):
and selling, yes, licensing, endorsement deals. I think she does wayfair.
She could do fragrance. Is she's that girl next door.
She could do clothing. Kelly's not gonna be hard up
for money, so this isn't a money decision like most
of us would be, Like, I can't leave my job
to do my side working. Kelly doesn't. She in such
(10:44):
a fortunate position here she can pick what she wants
to do. I predict she will leave the show. I
predict that this album, it's only a few singles, one
single way and it underperformed. The album comes out in
a couple of weeks, so I'm not sure it'll do
so well. But it's also unfair to compare her to
Kelly of twenty years ago. Has changed so much that
she's not gonna sell a million copies. Nobody does unless
(11:05):
you're Beyonce or Taylor Swift. The music business is so different,
and luckily for us, this is why you get to
see your artists on tour. Oh yeah, where the money is,
that's why they're doing it. They don't need to play
New York or Mississippi or Detroit. They don't want to
leave the house in California, and they do it for
the cash. Moving along, Sudden Foster takes control and has
(11:29):
cut off some of Hugh Jackman's long time friends and
sources are telling me the Sudden Foster is not just
sharing Hugh Jackman's pentase, she's moved into his very nice penthase.
She's also running his life. So this is so interesting
for yours. His ex wife, Deb was the gatekeeper. Deb
Ran Hugh Jackman ink you had Deb to get to Hugh,
(11:52):
and he liked it that way. She was the boss. Well,
now Deb's gone. Insiders are saying Sutton is becoming dead
two point zero. She's the glue, she's the gatekeeper, She's
the one in charge. If you want to get to Hugh,
you gotta like Sutain. I think this is something that
maybe it's a bit extreme here, but when you do
(12:14):
find a partner, a soulmate, someone you're gonna spend your
life with. Your friends have to adapt. It is a
little bit different. Lives changed. When Bruce met me, several
of his friends were not that into him having a boyfriend.
It wasn't necessarily about me. They liked Bruce when he
was single because he could take them for dinner in
the theater. And suddenly I became the plus one to
(12:37):
alls lovely lovely events, and so I sort of get
this here, I get by the friends or a love concerned.
My advice is just laylow, let him have his honeymoon
period with and slowly. You know, friends have forever. You
don't have to speak to your good friends for months
and months and months. So I'm not that worried. But
I think this happens more often than we think.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Yes, well, actually I happen to know a little bit
about this because I have a friend of years ago
who was a little upset at me about my relationship
with Joe because we were like, we never left the
house for two years. But you know, there's a thing
called cocooning. It's an actual thing in relationships. When you
meet someone and you're forming a relationship, its healthy. You
are supposed to be isolated, so that you are forming
(13:18):
that bond because now it's the two of you and
then you navigate the rest of the world. It's an
actual thing, just that I'd share that with listeners and
so it's very normal. What's not normal though, as you know,
you're dealing with hyper celebrity and so they're not just cocooning.
You have someone now sort of almost taking over the
role of the ex wife, and that gets becomes a
(13:39):
blurred line because now the friends don't know, well, who
are we friends with?
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Should we still talk to Deb? Are we allowed to
talk to Deb? You don't know who you gets too?
In the divorce?
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Yeah, yeah, dead was the glue. It's really tricky to navigate.
It's not just for Hugh and Deb and Sutton, but
for old friends. And acutely, before we go to break,
Brad Pitt found out that he's daughter, shy Hello, was
dating a girl has a girlfriend online. I think he knew.
I think he knew about Shiloh's sexuality, but I don't
(14:09):
think he knew she had a girlfriend until he read
about it. Yeah on the internet. What's coming on?
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Well, first I'm just fascinated by this story because such
a different world today that young people can be this
liberated and open, which is so.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Different than the world we grew up at eighteen. Oh
my gosh.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
No, So I'm going to celebrate that part of the
story first. And Brad Pitt, Yeah, he's found out that
his daughter Shiloh has a girlfriend. He found out online,
though he didn't know beforehand. He said he had no
idea she was even dating. But you know, basically he
learned because she was out on her birthday shopping trip apparently,
and she was I guess having a little bit of
PDAs in the public displayed affection.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Yeah, she looked happy.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
There were PDA pack photos of the eighteen year old
and her rumored girlfriend, who's a dancer named Keannie Rose,
and that these photos went viral. So Brad always knew
Shallow was gay, so that part was not the shock.
But a source close to the situation has told us
he at Hashtash.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Were scoop what surprised him.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
We're seeing how serious it seems with this girl we
didn't even know, you know, with dating his.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Daughter at all.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
So Shiloh celebrated her nineteenth birthday as I mentioned, and
she had this really nice shopping trip. And that's when
you know. People saw these two together, Keani and Shallow
together and the photo of they took quickly made the
rounds online, but not before reaching Brad Pitt's phone, of course.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
So it's a great thing. He's happy for her.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
I'm worryful for her, but that relationship is really damaged.
I hope they I hope they fix it, but there's
almost no contact there. I think this story is more
about Brad and Hilda's relationship. Yeah. Yeah, having a girlfriend,
which everybody seems to be so cool with. And sure
we've come so far. When I was growing up, when
I was nineteen, if I had a boyfriend, I couldn't
hold their hand in public. No walk around and giggle
(15:46):
and laugh. Yeah, same, it's for me, really sweet. These
photographs are just so lovely, two beautiful people just enjoying life.
Good for you. Okay, we're going to take a quick
break with him. We will be right back. Welcome back
to the Naughty but Nice Your hostbok idea friend, Cory Andrew, Hey, Corey,
let's get to the polls. So the last year we
talked about Hugh Jackman's ex y former wife Deborah, who
(16:10):
refused to sign a strict non disclosure agreement. So you
wanted an agreement that neither one of them talked about it.
Our question is should deb tell all she can? She
already put out a harsh statement. Are shocked. Normally the
statements are like, we've settled out divorce and we asked
for privacy. Yeah, deb did not put out that statement.
(16:30):
I was betrayed. She went in for it. So Deb's
got something to say. What do you think should she
tell all? Eighty five percent said yes, it's her story. Hey,
don't forget to vote on today's pole. Got a Twitter
page naughty nice rama Facebook pages and already yours be
sure to check that a mandat. Your results are now.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Nist. Yes, well listen.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
First of all, Janelaw's performance was amazing at the AMA.
Just gonna put that out there for us fifty five
years old and she killed it. But so her twins
though her people were talking about her twins what they
thought of the performance, because you know, she had that
shocking kiss in the show where she kissed like all
her dancers or something and the thing. But you know,
Jennifer Lopez did not shock her family with that girl
(17:17):
on girl kiss because her kids already knew about it.
She had already talked to him about it. So a
source close to the Lopez camp tells hashtag shooter Scoop
that Jlo made sure her sixteen year old twins Max
and Emmy were fully prepared for this whole moment before
she locked lips with her female dancers on the CBS
Live broadcast. And so the kids were at the rehearsals,
(17:38):
they saw the whole thing, and Jennifer told them what
was going on, and you know, it's actually just again
young people, right, it's not a big deal to them today.
They were like whatever, Mom, They're like whatever, can we
have money to go to the mall?
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Like yeah, I love it. If my mom was on
stage kissing a guy or a girl, I would be like,
oh my goodness. Young people are just so cool. We're
in good hands, futures in good head, and we're the
ones that have messed all up in good hands. Okay,
let's do it. And not is the day did his
mom and his kids are filming a documentary, so they've
(18:10):
been smarted at court with camera crews. When they get
out of the cars, camera cruise are following them. Sources
tell me they are planning to do a behind the
scenes project. They don't know what is yet, I guess
depending on the verdict. Yeah, it just makes me sad
that in a moment of family crisis for this family,
whether or not you think he's innocent or guilty, he's
(18:32):
still her son, yeah, and her son, but instead of
focusing on that love, that support, they're all focusing on
making good TV right, and cushions and also to brings
a cushion. I know the seat is apparently very hard,
so mummy brings her own cushion to the trial, not
not helping. And the the day let's end with a
(18:55):
moment of sometimes things go wrong to lead you right.
It doesn't always make sense in the moment. I get it,
the detours, the delays, the doors that have been slammed
in your face. But he's the truth. Sometimes things fall
apart so something better can fall into place. You've got
(19:15):
to trust the process, even though it's messy, even though
it hurts, even though it doesn't always give you the
answers right now, because sometimes life does reroot you and
it's not punishing you, it's protecting and preparing you once again. Wow,
sometimes things go wrong to lead you right, Corey, you
(19:36):
needed to hear it.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
I needed to hear it today.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
It all so much for listening, So they're not even
nice with Rob and Corey show a production of iHeart
Radio and Alvis Durand don't forget to subscribe on the
iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts. Wherever you listen, leave us a
review if you can. They really really do help. And
remember altogether. Now let me hear you singing your live.
(20:00):
If you're going to be naughty, you're gonna.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
Have to be nice.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
My Barbie ones ny but nice with Rom
