Speaker 1 (00:11):
It's time.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
And low and lower No, welcome to the naughty but
nic Sham your host from Shooter and it is Thursday now.
For the last couple of weeks I was away, he
was away. But we are back together, my dear friend
Mark Looper. Hey, Loopy, are you.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
There, Loopy Luisy? It's good to be back.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
We got to catch up. We've got a tonne of
gossip to get to so we'll be quick about this.
But how is Greece with your family?
Speaker 1 (00:35):
It was incredible. It was the best trip I've ever
been on. Yeah, wow, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Because of the company, because of the location, or all
the above.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Of the above, and then seeing my roots, you know,
going and you know, my mama's grieg and so it's
just it was really cool.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
It's really touches at your heartstrings. I was back in
Britain just last week and we took a day to
go back to my family home. We got in a
car and all went on this sort of life. We
called it the reminiscence too, not the Reaisance Beyonce, but
we were reminiscing about our childhood and we went back
to my primary school, the house we grew up in
the local shops, if we had a lovely, lovely day.
(01:13):
There's something about knowing where you come from that lets
you go forward with what's going to come next. I
like it, I really do like it. If you have
a chance to go back, it might bring up some
some tough memories, but I think overall it's probably a
lovely thing to do. Well. I'm happy you're back, Mark,
we have missed you. Let's jump in. What time is it?
My friends and tea time Mark? We are behind on
this story together. The show has been keeping up on
(01:35):
this book. You and me have not discussed this. I
can't wait to get your opinion. Team Diddy, you're telling
me they are confident that he will be cleared, and
not only is he going to walk, but they think
he could be bigger than ever. Oh So, in a
stunning turn of events, just hours before the closing arguments,
federal prosecutors have quietly backed off some of the most
(01:57):
sensational charges against Sean did He Combs and inside of
say that now a team did He is more confident
than ever. They think that the prosecution's legal team it's
cumberling over their own accusations. There's just too much that
they have accused, and now they're backing off several of
these really really explosive claims. This doesn't This doesn't look
(02:21):
good for the prosecution. Once you start changing what you're
prosecuting really towards the end of a trial. I think
that says to a jury, gosh, we even we admit
we probably haven't proved this. What do you think?
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, I think to your point, just a few days
before this is wrapping up, they're suddenly, you know, backing off.
I think, you know, looking at the case as a whole,
I think they've kind of proved the transportation of a prostitute.
I don't think that's kind of something they're worried about it.
But I think to prove that he was running a
criminal enterprise, it's complicated. I just I don't think the
evidence is there.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Unfortunately, Yeah, I think we all believe it's true, like
us that have been watching. But if I was a DURA,
it's a higher level of proof. As a TV audience,
I can be oh, my goodness, definitely happened. But I
have been a jury once and I definitely was really
really I took it really seriously. Everybody did, and you
got to if you're going to put somebody away, if
you're going to change somebody's life, the level of proof
(03:16):
it has to be beyond a reasonable doubt. And I
think that there possibly is some doubt there. Let's not
forget too Mark. We know this because we've worked in
this field for twenty thirty years. Celebrity, fame, power, it
all goes together. And I've seen celebrities get away with
stuff that you and me just we couldn't do it. Mark.
If you and me pushed in the line and a
(03:37):
tailor swift concert would be pushed to the back. Now,
if a celebrity turns up, they're allowed to get away
from it. We've been in restaurants, Mark, where there's no
tables available, and then suddenly a celebrity turns up and
guess what, there's a table available. Now. I know they
are silly examples, but the essence of them is true. Mark.
There's something different with the way we see, we perceive celebrity,
(04:00):
and that's got to be going through the juror's mind.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Yeah, and I wanted to also just compliment you on
the story that you wrote about did he You know
you did such a great job explaining how it's easy
to kind of turn a blind eye to the celebrity
behavior and kind of ignore it and accept it. And
so I agree. I think people have allowed this to
go on for so many years, and now we now,
in this case, we know he's a pig. We know
(04:23):
he's a terrible person, and we know he's a you know,
in our hard parts, we know he's a criminal. I mean,
whatever happens after this, we know the truth. We know
the truth.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
We know the truth. We know the truth. You know.
Let me remind everybody that OJ got off, OJ walked away.
But I don't think anybody listening to the show is
going to say that OJ was an innocent man. We know.
So it's going to be it's going to be complicated
with puffers. Somebody who's worked in the PR business for
a long time before I was a reporter. You can
appeal to a certain base. Now to a certain base.
(04:54):
Did he be in a criminal? Is actually going to
be a peek? Like God, are the old school rules
where if you get arrested you're over No, that's not
true anymore. We've seen it in elections, We've seen it
with celebrities that you can do awful things and still win,
and so there is a base out there. Kanye West
is a good example. My sources are telling me that
(05:15):
they wouldn't be at all surprised if did he goes
on tour with Kanye. If you go on tour together,
I can see it. I'm not going, but I think
people will buy some people will buy that ticket. And
I think a lot of people out there who don't
trust the police, who know what it's like to be
persecuted by law enforcements, they have trouble believing any of
(05:36):
this is legit did His team is really confident. I
still got really deep sources within his team, and at
the beginning they were not confidence. You could tell when
you spoke to them. They were like, oh, and they
wouldn't return your calls, which always means guilt when people
don't return your calls. Now they're Chaddie cannets. They're working
the press outside the courtroom. I've been down to the court.
(05:57):
There's smiles on their faces. Something's changed here, and we
know something's changed, not because we're listening to Diddy's people.
I'm listening to the prosecution. They've changed the goalposts. Everything
that they were trying to prove a day before final arguments,
they've decided, Oh, you know what, we're not going to
move forward with a B and C. That is not
(06:21):
a good sign for the prosecution. It's a great sign
for Diddy, which brings us to our pole question of
the day. Team Diddy is really confident that he's going
to be cleared. Do you agree? Do you think not
what you want to happen? We all know Naughty's I
know what you want, you know what I want. But
we've seen this before. Celebrities have got off, people have
got off that we know. No probably did it. What
(06:43):
do you think? Do you agree? Do you think he
will be cleared? We're going to find out in a
couple of days. I predict the beginning of the next
week mark we will probably get a verdict. Here. Hey,
go vote on our Twitter page add naughty nice rob
Our facebook page is naughty yozib and be sure to
check back tomorrow your results. Hey, Loopy, w do you working?
Speaker 1 (07:03):
I love the story so much? Okay, so Brad Pitt
says he has missed the window for a gay experience.
I'm not sure about that, Brad. Some of his most
candid interview yet the Oscar Winner joined Dax Shepherd on
the Armchair Expert podcast and addressed the long standing speculation
about his sexuality now. When Shepard jokingly asked in their
(07:23):
first meeting, which was at an AA gathering, it made
him nervous, and the actor shot back saying sexually you mean,
and he said, you know, Brad he goes.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
You know.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Pitt added with a grin, I've never had a gay experience.
I kind of missed that window. But if I did,
it wouldn't be you. I mean, what do you think, Rob,
Do you think he would ever dibble dabble?
Speaker 2 (07:45):
I don't know how it works. I was trying to
think of it as a gay guy. It wasn't like
I could miss my window because it was who I am.
But I think I missed my straight window Mark, So
maybe there is some wisdom to this. We all want
Brad to be gay because he's so gorgeous. That's why
the gay community love bread That. Everybody loves Brad Pitt.
(08:05):
He's absolutely trific. But I think one of the reasons
we love him is that he is very comfortable in
his sexuality. We know a lot of really macho stars
that if we talked about being gay. They would shut
us down. Can you imagine Tom Cruise talking about this
absolutely nutty? It would never happen. The publicist would jump
in and shut that down. Cloney. I guess he could
(08:26):
talk about it and joke about it. Brad straight, We
know he's straight. Good for you? Do I personally believe
there's a spectrum of sexuality? Yes? I don't think it's
one or the other. I think it's a long, long spectrum.
I'm very very much towards the ninety nine percent gay spectrum.
But I do know I have got some friends who
(08:47):
are more like sixty forty that are more fluid. It's complicated,
isn't It makes life easier if we can put people
into boxes that's gay or straight, or straight or gay.
Brad's blurring that line a little bit here. What do
you think about all this?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Mark?
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Do you do you believe him? Do you think the
wind has gone? Or do you think never too late
Bradley to try?
Speaker 1 (09:05):
I think it's never true. Lead. I mean, he's been
through all of it, like he's Angelina and Jennifer Aniston.
And when I pealtro on these believes, I think you
would actually find it to be a lot easier, if
less headaches. You know, I could see him with some
a little bit younger, younger boy in a boy toy
and just try it out for a few weeks a month.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Try it out for a few weeks, Brad, listen to
mock encouraging you here on the Naughty but Nay Sea.
If you're listening, Hello Alao, Brad give given Cale Mark,
he's a little younger. Don't tell Kevin James. Moving along,
I do, look, Brad moving along. We found out who
(09:41):
the real housewife who was banned from So's Soul Cycle.
We know who it is. So a couple of days ago,
page six did this great story that a real housewife
was banned from Soul Cycle because of outrageous behavior. She
was there making out with somebody on a bike and
then when they pulled her aside and was like you
causing a first and you're disrupting the class. He was like,
do you know who I am? I can tell you
(10:02):
who she is. It was Sonya Morgan. So the soul
citle was close to her home on sixty third Street,
and she went there, worked out, caused the big first.
Now it has been confirmed. It has been confirmed on
the hip podcast Cult of Body and Soul with Jess
Rough's Child that the diva that the silly silly use
(10:26):
it was Sonya Morgan. These ladies feel as if it's
over marked, Like it just feels now as if we
can get dribbles of stories about her and Bethany and Ramona.
But I think now I've sort of moved on. I
think it's about time they did too.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
I agree. You know, I'm friends with Max Tucci, the
restaurant owner of tucciese Yes. He told me about her
behavior his restaurant a few becus ago, and he said
that she was so out of outrageous, out of control
that they banned her and also now created a drink
called Sonya Nograda at the restaurant. Just hilarious.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
That's alone. Oh, I want to go to that restaurant.
It's really girl monicos. Is that what it's called.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Here's too. But when I went to tou Cheese that's
where she got two chees.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
I want to go there. I hear the food is fantastic.
I'd had dinner with Sonya several times and she's never
been that gracious, and she never ever picked up the
tab in the ten years. I think I knew her
just I think she had drinks at Bottinas once and
she could have offered to split the tab, but they
don't pay. They're so so cheap, and they do. I
think it's because all their lives they wanted to be famous,
(11:27):
they wanted to be celebrities, and they were for ten minutes.
They were a little bit famous. This show was a
big deal and now they think they're Beyonce, but they're not.
And without that show, it all goes away. Ask Jill
Zaraon or some of the ladies that had been fired
from the show. It is a constant struggle every day.
Bethany probably does it the best to stay relevant, but
(11:47):
she has to get up every day and decide to
make controversial TikTok videos, to say controversial things about Megan Markle,
to keep herself in the press. That's all she must
think about to still be out there. Sonya doesn't work
that hard. But going to places I do love to
when people always say do you know who I am?
I would never have you ever said I'd never know.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
No one cares about her, No one cares.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
No one cares, and that you know what the answer is? Yes,
I do, and I don't care. That's even more insult
in the I know exactly who you are. Okay, moving along.
Just In Bandldoni is losing faith in his pit bull lawyer.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah so Justin maybe playing calm in public, but behind
closed doors sources to say the actor is losing faith
in his high powered attorney, Ran Freeman. So this saga
is going on and it will go on for I
think quite a while. But the New York Times boondshell
that the four undred billion dollar lawsuit is unraveling, and
through a judge who tossed his suit earlier this month,
even promised that they would amend and refile the original claims.
(12:49):
But now it looks like that plan has changed and
instead of revisiting and revising the claims, his client will
be pursuing additional.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Means rate, it means nothing. I think they overshot the
runway here. They thought they had something, this four hundred
million dollar lawsuit against The New York Times, against Blake
against her husband Ryan, It was never really there. Anyone
can sue anybody, I can write a lawsuit about anybody.
But he doesn't mean it's actually going to move forward.
A judge tossed it out. It shows you there's just
(13:22):
nothing there. Now. The thing that I think Justin should do,
if you're listening Gala Loolo is buttled down and really
prepare for this battle. Because Blake is still suing him.
So Blake is suing him for sexual harassment. He's got
to defend himself. So instead of suing her back at
the moment, I would focus on winning that suit. It
is interesting, though I have not had this with a lawyer,
(13:43):
but I've certainly known publicists and managers who have over promised,
or just that friends who have over promised. Don't over
promise because when you don't deliver, it never ends up
being very very good. Mark. I owned to promise and
I over deliver, so I always try. You know, there's
people we've got them. They brag, they brag it. I
(14:03):
don't think they do it to be mean. They just
want to puff up their chests like peacocks and show off.
And I'm like, you can't deliver that, so let's not
go there. Like I'm not playing Carnegie hall Mark me
and you might be able to play to ten people
at Bottino's. I'm just saying we're not doing Carnegie Hall.
Anybody that promise to rob Shooter and we get you
and market Carnegie Hall to do the podcast. I've let
(14:25):
please over promising. How are you about it? In your
line of Workmark, this is a big thing because people
promise you stuff and then don't deliver, and it's you
that's left hold in the back.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
I've learned over the years just really manage expectations, right,
so you can hope for things. But I really am
a realist. I'm not negative, but I just recognize that
there are certain truths and you have to kind of
live in that truth.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Yes, yes, I've been in some of those meetings where
they're like, will Jessica Simpson swim down the Hudson Rover
and say hello to Rachel Ray with a turkey? No? No, no,
the chance of that, it's not good. It's not good.
Let's be realistic. Maybe she'll come on and sit on
the couch. Maybe that, but you's not making a turkey
on your show. It's just never going to happen. Be realistic.
(15:10):
I think what you said, though, Mark is so important.
Don't be a Debbie downer, don't be negative, but be realistic.
And there's a fine line and I think Justin Baldoni
is figuring that out. Okay, we're going to take a
quick break and we will be right back. Welcome back
to the Naudy but Nic Sham, your Hostrom Shooter with
our dear friend Mark Lupo Haley b Let's get to
the polls. About last year we talked about Jeff and
(15:32):
Lauren's wedding is falling apart. Guests are droughing off and
there's protests in Venice. This over the top wedding. It's
gonna be massive. I think I have recordports between twenty
and forty million booking hotels. There are private yachts literally
littering the harbor nis those poor gondoliers can't get in
(15:53):
and out because of Jeff and the billionaire yachts. It's
gonna get worse. I believe the wedding's going to be tomorrow,
on Friday or Saturday. I think it's Friday, and so
this is going to explore. The city is not prepared
for this. Is this over the top wedding tone death
to me? It sounds like that rocket to space. It's
just silly. It's billionaires playing at being fabulous, playing at
being tourists, Space tourists now tourists in Venice? Do you agree?
(16:16):
Do you think the wedding is tone deaf? While eighty
five percent said yes, it's too much. Mark people are struggling.
I don't want to see all this well flaunted in
my face. I don't want to see it. I mean,
I don't mind which people. Good luck to you, you've
made that money, but this just feels to me like
ough another stunt.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
What do you think he's so icky? You know, the
people that work for him, especially the drivers and others,
they work so hard for so little, and then for
him to go and act like this, it just really
disgusts me. I'm sorry, it's disgusting. It's disgusting. And pay
your taxes. Okay, don't forget to vote on today's pole.
Will go to our Twitter page add naughty nice RABA
facebook page is naughty good zip and be sure to
(16:53):
check back to my rout. I hear your results are
now ooh, very cryptic. Nicest of the day. Oh it's like, well,
I will and nicest of the day it's Jenner Aniston
who knows the truth about Pedro Pascal's private life. Mmmm.
So Jenna's been very quiet and confiding to friends about
(17:14):
the truth behind her headline making dinner with Pascal or
the earlier this year, after the pair were spotted deep
in conversation at a private table. Now, Rob, he's been
linked to people like Russell Tovey and amar Opalo. You know,
he says, Rob that he's very open in his private life.
He just doesn't bring it into his public life. What
do you think He doesn't talk about it. And you
(17:36):
are allowed to have any secrets you want there, but
don't lead somebody on. I think a lot of people
were worried that Jennifer was barking up the wrong tree
here that her and Pedro were going to get together.
My sources tell me, don't be ridiculous. She knows the truth.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
She knows that they're not going to be together romantically,
but she hopes they can be good friends. And I
think too, my gen sources said she really feels for
him because he's the guy. He's all over the media,
he's on the cover of Vanity Fair, and she knows
what's that like to have everybody looking at you, and
so she's very protective about him and if he wants
secrets if he wants to keep his private life private.
(18:13):
She totally respects that. Jenn's tried to keep her private
life private and failed miserably at it. We poke everything.
She's warning him. She's a mentor to him. So if
you hear rumors that they are boyfriend and girlfriend, they
are not. If you hear rumors that he's leading her on,
he is not. She knows, he knows. I say that
is lovely and the nicest of the day, and amne naughty?
(18:35):
Is the day? Naughty? Naughty? Naughty? Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez,
the guests at the wedding are calling them cheap because
they're being asked to put down the credit cards for
the mini bar. So when you check into the hotel,
you have to put down your credit card. Now, should
one of the richest people in the world, if you
do a destination wedding, should you pay for everything? Should
(18:56):
you pay to fly people in? Should you pay for
their hotels? Should you pay for their god? Should you
pay for their mini bars? What do you think, bar?
Speaker 1 (19:05):
I mean, it's the least you could do. Honestly, it's
you have two hundred billion dollars. You can't cover a
soda a mini shot of Vaga Command.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Sorry, those mini bars get expensive, although none of those
folks that eat their will skinny minis, But Jeff Bezos
pull out that credit cards and start paying for the
Toby rooms in the mini bar. I naughtices of the
day the same with a moment of rub a rub,
you get a rub. I never lose. I either win
or I learn. Sounded a little arrogant at first, didn't it.
(19:35):
But there's a twist at the end. I never lose.
I either win or I learn. Failures not in my vocabulary,
because every setback teaches me something. Every no sharpens my focus,
every mistake bills my strength. I don't lose, I grow,
I adapt, I riose, and when I win, I celebrate,
(19:58):
and when I don't, I learn. Either way, Mark, keep
moving forward. I think a lot of us don't do
stuff because we're frightened of losing. We're frightened of failure.
Don't think about it like that. It's not a failure,
it's a learning process. Keep going. Hey, that is it
for today. Thank you so much for listening to the
(20:18):
Naughty but Nice with Rob and Mark show a production
of Elvis Durant and iHeartRadio. Don't forget to subscribe on
the iHeartRadio app podcast wherever you listen, leave us a
review if you can. They really do help. And remember
all together now, if you're going to be naughty, you've
got to be let me hear you. Nice take. It's
(20:39):
not even nice with Rom
